I don't usually share my sketches, but this one was cute :))

Hello welcome to my rambling zone, I have the bad habit of taking notes during the night because I'm an insomniac- enjoy ! And remember everything here is just my opinion written at 5am

I have a lot of conflicting feelings about Seras, because on one hand there is a lot I hate about her character :

-I *hate* her design. She is sexualized in a way that makes me really uncomfortable

-She is always the character that brings the worst part of the show (especially in the beginning) : the humor (and misogyny). She is treated as both the audience surrogate, and a comic relief, and that's a mix that do not work for me (and if you add the fact the humor doesn't make me laugh, and that she is more often than not treated as a pair of boobs and not a character- well it's hard for me to take her seriously)

-she was a cop (acab). And Alucard doesn't let me forget that because he calls her "police girl" the whole fucking show.... (But I can't complain about that because I kind of liked the pay off-)

-I find her romance with Pip boring (mainly because I find Pip boring I'm sorry), even tho I liked where it went. But if I find the man more interesting dead idk if that's a success.

-Her last apperance will always enrage me. After all her character growth, after you thought the writers *maybe* respected her a bit more..... One of the last thing you see from her is a panty shot. How to spit in my face for enjoying the ending ig

But on the other hand, despite all that.... The end of her character arc was kind of sick and she gets a lesbian ending lgkgkckgj so 5/10 character could be worse ig

But the shit that gets to me about all of that... is that I know Hellsing can pull off great women characters !! Integra is *right there* !!!

All of this to say I like doing fanart of mid medias I love because I get to fix some aspects of the original I didn't like <3

PS : I know Alucard is "dead" during the 30 years after the final, but you can decide if he is the dog or if they adopted a dog that reminded them of him :)

From the moment her fangs grazed your neck and to the moment her blood touched your tongue, it was set in stone. You were hers for eternity, forever and always you would be by her side. She meant to discard your corpse when you first took shelter in her palace, but as your beating heart echoed in her ears and your straying glances caught her eye, Carmilla knew what she wanted.

Her own dead heart yearned for another, for it had been years since someone made her feel this way. She found excuses to keep you in her home, from the freezing weather to the dangers that lurked she spun lies and set fears in your heart to make you stay beside her, but it was not like you wanted to leave. Your strange host was gorgeous, captivating. You liked her.

So when her true nature was revealed yes, you were afraid, but after a moment you realized that you did not mind her ailment, and a thought crossed your mind to stay by her side. For eternity, of course.

When you brought it up she froze, and in Carmilla’s cold heart she selfishly cried ‘yes!’, but the words that left her lips were different. She would let you dwell, and so you did. Night after night your thoughts were occupied, swaying back and fourth until you decided. So the night you came to her you bore a pretty neck, an enticing sight as you told her that yes, you thought about it and yes, you would turn. For her. Only her. So in her own selfishness Carmilla took your hand in hers and grazed her fangs along the base of your neck, her hot breath tantalizing on your skin as she slowly punctured your flesh, drawing the liquid akin to ambrosia before pulling back and nicking her wrist, putting it to your pretty lips for you to taste her.

Intimate. It was so very intimate as her warm lips ghosted your neck and as your own kissed her wrist as her blood fell upon your tongue.

Your turning was agonizingly painful, but as it ceased you were fine, becoming accustomed to the new life that you were so ignorant about. But she kept you by her side, shared her love with you and helped you learn, and she felt happiness for the first time in years. You had taken her dead heart as she did yours, and you held it close to your bosom. You were whipped for her, you thought, but Carmilla was utterly starstruck. Her yearning heart flourished when you were around, how her cold cheeks held a warmth that they hadn’t held in years. You fell first, but she fell harder and you couldn’t have been more grateful.

You were hers, and she was yours. Forever and always you would be the light of her life, her sun and stars, her universe. She may not have shown it, but you could see and feel the love she had for you. If your dear heart is wounded, her wild heart would bleed with yours. Always and forever, she would live in your warm embrace and die alongside you, as would you relish selfishly in the love she had for you.

You would not leave her side, never. Her heart was yours, and yours her.

Ok so the concept for this piece was : historical gay nuns, and 70s lesbian vampire movies meets tes (don't ask me why- I just had a vision at 3 am)

Because I think Serana should have been meaner<3 I love women's wrongs and when vampires do the suck <3

Btw of you want to see more gay Serana art, go check out @gay-of-waterdeep, their art is wonderful, and I can't say this was not a bit inspired by what they do :))

Process (and me rambling about some of my favorite 70s lesbian vampire movies (because I have a problem)) below vvv

Additional details about this drawing ! 1) I used the same Mara design than the one from my tarot deck :)) and 2) the other woman is one of the priestess in the temple in Riften lglggigkglgl her name is *check wiki* Dinya Balu

And now......... Some movies I enjoy because my house my rules, you came this far so why not hear about niche european movies :))))))

Disclaimer for a majority of the films in this genre : the male gaze is very fucking obvious in these movies... they were made by men for men, and the message is often "lesbianism is a dangerous temptation for women". It's a glairing flaw nearly all of them share and that sucks (and frankly it's a flaw Serana's writting kinda has in my opinion, minus the lesbianism part, but let's not dwell on that)- so if you can't get past it, it's completly understandable, be on your way and have a nice day <3

- Daughters of Darkness ! A toxic man is returning to london with his newly wed wife, but they get stuck in Belgium and are forced to stay in a luxurious hotel. Don't worry about the 10/10 smokeshow countess seducing his wife :). Completely unrelated, this movie has, in my opinion, the most beautiful lesbian kiss I've ever seen- but I might not be very objective because Delphine Seyrig is there lglglflflllglm The best one in the list ! So if you want to whatch one, whatch this one <3

- The blood spattered bride ! This is more of... an aquired taste let's say- but I really like it ! A quite effective horror movie, with goofy ass scenes (shoutout to the vampire lady buried in the sand naked with only a diving mask that is not the screenshot because tits), and emasculation being a recuring theme <3 (but if you want to watch it, please check the content warnings beforehand, it has a lot of very shocking and frontal scenes, and it's the 70s so it's not done very tactfully. Also pretty intense flashing lights)

- The vampire lovers ! Ok so this one is a lot less fun compared to the other two because it's made by the Hammer BUT... 1) Ingrid Pitt hello and 2) it's such a intriging thing to see a very christian/conservative studio make a film like that. I know a lot of people don't like the Hammer movies from the 70s, because the studio had a lot less money, and were making wild decisions. But I love them, because they tend to be much more fun bloody and sexy ! I'm a simple woman mjllkklhkhlhlho case in point with the vampire lovers (although if you want a fun vampire hammer movie from the 70s, Dracula ad 1972 is way better). And Peter Cushing is there (i love this man so much-) !

And now I shall resume my quest to find Vampire Lesbos by Jésus Franco and have a probably mid experience watching it xoxo
