The Taste of Deceit: Hyungline Part 2 Finale (Namjoon 2/2)
The Taste of Deceit Masterlist
Hyungline: Part 1, Part 2(Jin and Yoongi, Hoseok), Part 1/2
Warning- Blood, violence
Unedited. Kindly excuse my errors. if you find anything significantly wrong, please let me know.
This has to be my most annoying experience with Tumblr.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The club was packed. Packed to the brim.
Neon lights flickered along with artificial smoke as the beat made the crowd cheer and hoot, raise their hands as the DJs played mash hits. It was the party season and those who could afford to be in any of Lee Henchin's clubs were having a blast.
A shadow moved seamlessly between the dancing and grinding bodies. Smoke, alcohol and even white power on some. As midnight occurred, the beats grew more intense. But the shadow glided towards the underground kitchen.
.
"We are done for the night." Lee Henchin plopped down on the velvet sofa, throwing his head back.
"Thanks man." He thanked his guest who poured him a drink before filling is own glass.
"My pleasure." the man smiled before taking gulp.
"Now that we are free, we can speak of what is truly important. So, Mr Park. It would have been an honour though, had your boss graced his place with his presence."
"I suppose you have the information what happened with the deal regarding the gulf shipment."
"I have heard about the deal and how terribly wrong it went. It's a joint-loss." Henchin nodded as he took a swig before refilling his glass.
Mr Park observed him. For moments, none of them spoke.
"He wants a favour."
The hallway on the second floor was lit up with neon green and blue, but a certain turn led to a corridor plunged in red. The trolley rolled smoothly though the surface– the three-tire filled bottles of scotch and bourbon, ice– mixers and garnishes. It was a bar on wheels.
Henchin would leave no stone unturned in providing the best hospitality to people important to him– those who could bring him profit.
"Nobody has seen him for a while now Mr Park. There are rumours floating all around."
Mr Park only smiled before finishing his drink.
"Lets get down to business shall we?"
.
The smooth roll of the three tired tray came to a quiet stop as soon as a hand rose in the air.
"We need to check your ID first." The imposing man loomed over six feet.
"But I work here."
"It's Boss' order. Now, ID please." he demanded gruffly, leaving no room for argument.
"Sure." The waitress nodded and turned her eyes to her side to pull out the exclusive ID Card.
.
"Why not Gangnam? There are still many clubs waiting for their share– they paid millions Mr Park."
"There is a shift in priority Henchin. You are our most important distributor– you wield influence over the market here like no other. We have expectations for you."
'Well, Gangnam is where most of the money flows from and–"
"Twelve million."
"Sorry?"
"Twelve million, in dollars. Last time it was six right, we offer you a deal of twelve million dollars."
All incoming excuses dried up in Henchin's mouth as she leaned back to weigh his options and profits."
"You can think closely of it for now. Excuse me." With that Mr Park excused himself to the restroom.
.
The bodyguard frowned.
"This is not—"
His head jerked back before he could finish his words. The bullet was faster.
The other three guards jumped to action even before the dead guard's body touched the ground.
(Y/N) jumped on one of them, locking his head between her head while leveraging the position to shoot down two of the guards in succession.
The man in her hold elbowed her back as they both landed on the ground, struggling to gain control. (Y/N) did not leave his head, her knees tightened around his neck while she blocked another blow from him.
His leg latched on to her arm blocked his elbow, managing to free his hand from her grip. Instead, it stretched and reached for her throat. She jabbed her elbow on his arm with enough force to bend it. He screamed in agony and that gave her all the time to shoot him right in his head.
Blood splashed on the floor as the man lay dead with open eyes.
(Y/N) looked up at the sound of rushing footsteps. Of course...
She fired at the approaching men while unlatching the dead man from her. Three more silenced gunshots fired at the men– mission one, injuring the other and killing one with a headshot.
When they fired, their gunshots alerted the whole floor.
"Shit!"
She had rolled away at the right moment but a bullet did manage to graze her arm. She breathed deeply as pain spread across her arm, but there was no room to rest. Quickly grabbing the dead guard's gun, she shot the attackers dead.
But of course, this was not the end. Cursing, she took the now dead guards' guns. She needed them. And more. Rushing towards the beginning of the corridor, she used the wall as a shield, slowing them down as she fired at them. Two of them down. Four three bullets gone, and the other three had ducked behind walls as well.
Great!
She hissed, narrowly missing a bullet when her injured arm was strained further, drawing out more blood. But she had no time to tend to that.
As soon as another head peeked out, she fired. A head shot– one more down. But there was no time to engage in a gunfire battle for long. Firing another round, she managed to injure another before bolting towards the room Henchin was at.
Quickly grabbing the ID now speckled with blood,  she inserted it to a slit and the door unlocked.
She shot the first guard who came into view. Then using the door to shield herself from other bullets, she shot the nearest attacker's foot, earning a pained scream but he managed to swing his arm. She blocked it mid-air, stabbing her feet on his shot foot– but his scream was caught midway when she shot him in the neck while shutting the door lock.
Henchin's scream vaguely reached her ears as he scrambled to get away.
"KILL HER! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU LOOKING AT?"
.
The muffled sounds of gunshots echoed in the isolated restroom as Mr Park calmly fixed the buttons of his suit. His eyes gleamed with the ghost of a smile as he checked his watch.
.
She groaned at one of the his men kicked the back of her knee, making her fall flat on the ground. His foot stomped over the back of her knee and she wheezed. She fired her gun, shooting his right on his shin. His leg moved from her and he fell on her and squeezed her injured arm.
"Argh! Son of a bitch!"
It was painful, to say the least. Using all her weight, she flipped him over and pinned him with her knees and a hand on his throat, while firing on the rest of her two attackers. She punched the man underneath her in two successive blows before looking up again.
Her eyes finally found her target scrambling to get away or get a gun. Keeping her steeled and ranging gaze locked with his flabbergasted and terrified one, she smirked coldly and shot the man underneath her dead.
.
Mr Park's hands were tucked in his trouser pockets. The sound of crashing and breaking reached his ears. He turned his head slightly before checking his watch again.
It was time.
.
(Y/N) dodged the filled bottle of alcohol thrown at her as she dashed towards him. His hands were faster however, stabbing her on the shoulder right as she reached him grabbing his throat. She hissed, but continued to attack nevertheless.
The sound of footsteps was easily distinguishable in the otherwise deathly silent room. No hurry, no aggression, just slow, calculated steps. Both of them turned to look at Mr Park who stood at a distance.
"P-Park help me!"
Henchin demanded.
"Sure, Lee."
With that, Mr Park fired and they both stilled.
(Y/N) frowned when no bullet reached her, but instead, she turned to see the last of Henchin's men in the room drop dead.
But the distraction was enough for him to spring to action.
"FUCK YOU!"
In a moment, Henchin flipped her down, grabbing his previously discarded tie and wrapping it around her neck while he tried to stab her. He was going for her eye but one hand grabbed his wrist while the other went to poke his eye. The lapse in his strength gave her the perfect opportunity to bend his hand and jabbed the knife into his neck.
She blinked and her face was marred with his blood.
Finally, gaining the upper hand, she flipped him off and before he could move further, fired three shots at him.
Breathless, worn out and beat, she lay on the floor. Her throat parched, her body aching and her eyes filled up with unshed tears. One stray drop escaped through the corner of her eyes. The ceiling above was lit with golden lights but all she could see was her father's face.
"Are you crazy? We can't let you go alone!" Kyong would not relent, no matter what.
"This is personal Kyong. This is my battle."
He shook his head "I know you blame yourself for Dok's—"
"Henchin's men came that night. He was the one behind my father's murder Kyong. I saw it all unfold, hiding. And I could not do anything..."
"You were a child! What else could you do?" Han spoke up this time.
"But now I can...And I will. I can't let you both risk everything this time."
"But—"
"Kyong, please. You both want to help me? Ease my way in. Try to cover up for me...Even if I do not return."
"You are your father's daughter (Y/N). I had only heard of that man." Kyong was finally relenting.
"I am." her eyes moved to the tiger stuff toy sitting behind a shelf.
She understood the meaning behind her father's last gift now.
"If you are not back in an hour, (Y/N), we are coming up. No matter what happens."
"Kyong is right. One hour (Y/N) and you let us know if something goes wrong."
With a long sigh, she nodded.
The sound of sauntering footsteps and the glass shards crunching beneath the shoes brought her back to reality.
"My Lady..."
The voice was mellifluous but held a certain dip to it. His face cam into view before he offered his hand. Begrudgingly, she accepted it and stood up, finally feeling all the injuries hit her now that the adrenaline had left her body. His grip did not loosen though, instead, he turned it into a handshake.
"I'm Jimin. Park Jimin."
She nodded, still assessing him.
Why did he help her? Why was there not any sigh of caution or strain in his body language?
He was confident, calm, collected. He was no ordinary man.
"Oh, sorry, I never had the chance to meet you. Before hyung could introduce you us...You flew away."
Her frown smoothened in recognition.
Of course, he was Kim Namjoon's man. And the way he addressed the Underworld leader, she concluded that he was a part of Namjoon's close circle.
"How is he?"
Jimin smiled "Why don't you find out yourself?" with that, he fished out his phone and dialled a number before offering her his phone. Reluctantly, she took it.
"Hello? Jimin, any updates?"
Her heart skipped a beat. It had felt like an eternity. There was silence when she did not reply before he broke it himself
"(Y/N)?" There was a tremble in his voice.
"How are you Namjoon?" she finally asked.
"Your shot my shoulder when you could aim for my head. It just proves your love."
She shut her eyes and licked her lips.
"We can never be one Namjoon..."
"I could have saved Henchin...But I wanted to prove you my love."
"I don't doubt your love Namjoon...Think of it as wrong person, worst time. And forget me."
She heard him chuckle through the phone.
"You can run...for now. Not for long. I will find you Little Bird. i will reach you and then we can defy time, circumstances and the bloody destiny."
(Y/N) stood in silence as her stare hardened.
"You can try."
With that, she hung up and returned the phone to Jimin.
"It was nice meeting you, Mr Park."
Jimin smiled and nodded.
"Likewise." He replied as he watched her walk away. A bit slow, slightly limping but with a good grasp over her gun.
***
Finally, finished it.
2023 was a year. There was so much happening and going with the flow was the only option.
I tend to let things sink in before I fully assess and feel the intensity of my emotions. And BTS' enlistment was no different. Yes, Jin and Jhope's last MVs brought tears to my eyes, but none of their buzz-cut photos did. Then, before going to bed, I saw Namjoon's Instagram story before he joined the bootcamp...And I burst into tears. There were several reason, several aspects, my loss, my hopelessness, the post just acted as a trigger.
I used to think that I could always comfort myself, that I could handle things on my own--as I always have done. But that night, I realised how battered and tired I were. The year sucked me dry somehow, or maybe it was the final straw. But I realised that now and then, i need another person's comfort too. That sharing my grief with the right people would not make me a burden.
I think this is one of the reasons why this reaction stretched so much. It's 51k words in total (Part 1 and 2)-- only for hyngline. This was the way I found some comfort-- writing, and publishing it here.
So, no matter how the year went, I'm thankful to all of you for reading my stories.
A very happy and prosperous new year ahead my friends.

The longer Hoseok was standing at the doorstep the more he began to realise his day was going to be wasted if he stood him any longer. But his grandmother was worried about everything, wondering if he had what he needed for the day even if he was just going into the village nearby. It wasn't as if he was leaving them to head back to the city.
"Do you have everything? Because we're sure we can give you some more food." She looked down at the small lunch she had made for him and Hoseok shook his head. He'd told her that she hadn't needed to make him anything, he could have just purchased something from a market stall when he reached the village. But his grandmother was insisting on making him something to take with him, as well as giving him an umbrella in case - in some kind of weird twist in events - it started to rain. In the middle of the hottest day of the year.
"Halmoni, I'm fine. Thank you," Hoseok chuckled as his grandmother pinched his cheeks and kissed the top of his head one last time, his grandfather coming and standing beside his wife at the door. It had been too long since they'd gotten to see their grandson and they wanted him to enjoy his time here. To hopefully make sure he kept coming back as often as he could.
"I'll be back tonight, for dinner." He told her with a small smile. He knew that they had missed him and wanted him to be well looked after but he still didn't want them to be so overprotective and give them their food. They needed it much more than Hoseok did but they were always going to put others before themselves, it was just who they were as people.
"You make sure you take a good look around, s much has changed since you last came here," His grandmother said with a giant smile
"A lot can change in ten years," His grandfather added with a playful glare. They were always trying to tease him for walking away almost ten years ago to achieve his dream. Over the years they stopped asking him to come and visit them since their grandson was such a big hot shot in the city now. A lawyer with his own company which was one of the reasons he was allowed to be here now.
Since he owned his own company he had a lot of freedom to do what he wanted a lot and didn't have to answer to a boss telling him when he could and couldn't take time off.
Tumblr media
Once Hoseok was in the market he smiled to himself as he looked around, it was just as busy as he remembered it as a kid but it wasn't city kind of busy. This was different. In the market, everyone got along with one another, knew each other and was always friendly toward everyone that they came into contact with.
"Look at you!" A voice squealed before a hand was placed onto Hoseok's cheek and squeezed softly. It was going to get annoying if he had to keep dealing with people squeezing his cheeks all of the time but he smiled through it all.
"Not much has changed." Mrs Lee said while looking him up and down. Instead of the small boy that she used to see, there was a tall and very handsome man dressed in a very fine suit. The whole outfit screamed that he wasn't from around here and made him stick out like a sore thumb but it was the only thing Hoseok had packed so he was just going to have to deal with it.
"Hi Mrs Lee," He greeted with a chuckle, hugging her tightly as she shook her head at him. No matter how many times she had told him to call her by her first name he had always insisted on being polite with her, just the way his grandmother had raised him.
"Such a polite young man! Tell me, do you have a wife yet?" She asked suddenly making Hoseok's cheeks burn at the thought. It was all anybody had been asking him since arriving back in the small hometown and he shook his head.
"Mrs Lee, what would Mr Lee think about you asking me those kinds of questions?" He winked at her and she swatted him playfully with her towel, leading him over to her food stand while she spoke.
"Don't be so silly, I was asking for my daughter, you know she has always had a crush on you." Hoseok smiled at the thought but he shook his head. He'd known about Chaewon's crush since they were kids and there was a reason he'd never acted on it, he had never felt attracted to her that way.
"I'm sure Chaewon will find someone all on her own Mrs Lee, don't worry. Stop trying to set her up with random men," Hoseok scolded playfully but his eyes glanced around the stalls, the layout had changed a lot since the last time he was here and so had the stalls. Instead of being made of wood everything was metal and nailed to the ground but that wasn't what he was looking for. Or rather who he was looking for.
The flower stall was always the first place Hoseok would go to whenever he would visit his grandmother growing up and as he looked around he couldn't see it. There was no sign out for it and there were no flowers being passed around to people as they walked by and a sick feeling began to pit itself into Hoseok's stomach.
"Where is-"
"No one told you?" Mrs Lee asked cutting Hoseok off before he could even finish his sentence. There was a weary smile plastered across Mrs Lee's face and he knew that he had to have missed something that was going on. Was Mrs Cho sick?
"Told me...what?"
"Mrs Cho." The world seemed to go cold as he imagined all of the things that could have gone wrong, the way Mrs Lee said her name was enough to make Hoseok's head spin.
"She died a few months ago," There was a small shake in her voice and Hoseok's stomach dropped to the floor as he tried to remember the last thing he'd ever said to Mrs Cho. Or even when the last time he saw her was...Guilt began to pick up in his body as he couldn't even remember the last time he'd sent her a message.
"She did?"
"Yeah, she died peacefully and in her sleep which was good. There was nothing any of us could have done." Tears welled up inside of his eyes as he thought about it. Mrs Cho had been like a second grandmother to Hoseok over the years, she was always watching over him and looking after him and now she was just gone and no one had told him about it.
"W-What about..." Hoseok cleared his throat trying not to cry in front of anybody. It wasn't his kind of thing, he would usually bottle everything up and let it out whenever he was alone.
"What about Yn?" He questioned shyly and Mrs Lee smiled at him, rubbing his back softly before nodding her head.
"She's still here, she comes to the stall every now and again to sell but she's busy trying to do the house up." The house? Why were you doing the house up? That place used to be the pride and joy of the village since it was one of the many original houses built and everyone loved to take great care of it.
"The house?" Hoseok asked as he took some of the food Mrs Lee was giving to him, even though he wasn't exactly hungry but he knew better than to turn down food when someone was giving it to him.
"Over the years it had fallen into disrepair, we'd all tried to fix it as much as we could but it was falling apart. Yn is insisting on staying and fixing everything," Everything? What could possibly be so wrong with it that you were fixing everything?
"What do you mean by everything?" Hoseok asked before eating some of the tteokbokki and keeping his eyes on Mrs Lee as she looked back at him with a small smile. It wasn't any kind of secret to the village what had happened to the home over the years, they'd all been trying to help fix it. Even giving you some of the supplies you would need whenever you asked for them.
"There are holes in the walls, paint splashed up the house from disrespectful kids and even the porch structure was rotting. Then there was the fire last month when Yn was inside." Mrs Lee added nonchalantly but Hoseok almost dropped the food he was holding and stared at her with his mouth hanging open.
"Is she okay!?" Mrs Lee smirked as she heard the concern leaking from his tone and she nodded her head at him. It was sweet that even after ten years of being apart Hoseok was caring toward you.
"She's fine, she got a few scratches but she's fine. She's a tough kid," Hoseok chuckled a little as he nodded his head,
"I remember," Hoseok said while remembering you. You'd always been so tough growing up, it always seemed as though you weren't scared of anything and even when Hoseok was scared of something you always tried to protect him from that something.
"You can go and see her if you want, I'm pretty sure she's working on the roof today with Yoongi." Mrs Lee added with a small smile, watching in amusement as Hoseok nodded and rushed to eat the food that he had been given. Only when he tried to pay her did she swat his hand away and told him it was on the house.
Tumblr media
"Hi. Look, I know I'm late on payments but if you just tell them...that...You're not the lawyer." Your voice trailed off in your sentence as you finally got to face the man that was standing in front of your house dressed in a suit. When you were first coming up the driveway you were sure it was going to be another lawyer asking you to pay them.
"Well, I am a lawyer but-" Hoseok grunted as you suddenly threw your arms around him and hid your face in his neck,
"Hobi." You breathed out as you kept yourself pressed against him, ignoring how fast your heart was racing against your chest. It had been far too long since you'd seen Hoseok and all you needed right now was one of his famous hugs,
"Hey little bug," He chuckled wrapping his arms around your waist and holding you as tightly as he could. Tears formed in the corners of your eyes as you heard the nickname he would often use for you when you were both younger,
"What are you doing here?"
"I heard about Mrs Cho and then about the house..." Mrs Cho had raised you from a very young age. She'd taken you in and brought you up as though you were her daughter and since she had no siblings or children of her own you were her only family.
"She left...Everything to me, it's- it's so weird that she's just gone...You know?" Hoseok slowly let you go and smiled as he looked at you. You were dressed in denim overalls that were covered in paint, and oil and only lord knew what else and yet you still looked beautiful. Your hair was styled in a way that it wouldn't get in the way of your hard work and you looked even more beautiful than Hoseok could remember.
"Do you want to go and talk about it?" He questioned as he rubbed your back softly and you nodded. You'd been working on the roof with Yoongi most of the morning and it was about time you took a well-needed break,
"Yoongi! Take a break! I'm going to make some tea!"
"Iced tea for me!" You heard him call back and you laughed leading Hoseok up to the porch, the thing about the porch was that it was going to fall through eventually but you didn't want it to happen to Hoseok... or anybody for that matter. It had been up on the list of things to repair but the roof seemed more important since there was heavy rainfall coming in soon.
"Okay, so with the porch, you can step up onto the top but then you have to jump into the house." You told him as you looked him dead in the eyes to let him know that you were being serious,
"You're kidding." He laughed nervously hoping it was some kind of joke but you shook your head at him,
"Nope. Deadly serious." Yout bit down on your lip. It was something you were going to get around to fixing but everything else was more important or you never had the right parts in to fix the porch. Jimin was supposed to be by tomorrow with the wood you needed though which was going to be a lifesaver.
"Shouldn't you have fixed the porch first if it was dangerous?" Hoseok asked as you let out a small laugh, if only it was as simple as that.
"The wood we needed wasn't in plus, there's a storm coming so we had to do the roof first," You giggled before jumping through into the front door and looking at Hoseok who did the same and stumbled a little, only for you to hold his arms and steady him.
"You okay?"
"Perfect and a storm? You and my Grandmother both think it's going to rain but it's so hot out," He chuckled and followed you toward the kitchen.
"The cows are all laying down which means it's going to rain,"
"You know that's an old wife's tale right?" Hoseok tried to imagine how cows would even know it was going to rain. It was just some old myth people like to say whenever they saw cows lying down on the grass.
"Oh? Well, I guess we'll see who's right," You smirked as you shook your head, Hoseok stopped at the door to the kitchen and he took a look at everything. The house was nothing like Hoseok had remembered and he could hardly believe that it was the same place he had spent a lot of his time.
The walls were falling apart, wallpaper had been ripped down and even the floors had holes from the rotting wood they'd been built with. There were buckets everywhere that were catching falling water from pipes and then there were the doors. All of them were gone except for the back and front door and most importantly the bathroom door. Hoseok didn't even want to imagine you living here in such a state and he looked over at you to see you already watching him. You didn't want him to think that no one had cared for the house when you all had done whatever you could but it got harder over the years.
"When she got older she couldn't care for it as much, I was at the stall most of the time and we tried to keep the house up and running but I was...I didn't live with her so I didn't know how truly bad it was until now." Hoseok frowned, you didn't live with her? He thought you'd stay with Mrs Cho right up until she passed and it was a little surprising to hear you didn't.
"You didn't?" Hoseok asked as you began to make drinks for everyone,
"No, I lived with Yoongi." You added casually. It was dropped into the conversation so innocently but Hoseok couldn't help the jealously that was beginning to build up inside of him. He knew that realistically he had no reason to be jealous the two of you had never been together but he couldn't help it.
"Oh...Are you two-"
"Together? God, no." You shuddered at the thought and texted Yoongi that his drink was ready. The two of you had tried to date a couple of times but it just felt forced and weird to try and be with Yoongi when your heart had always lied with Hoseok. Not that you were ever going to admit that out loud.
"We tried to once, but it was just weird." You pulled a disgusted face and Yoongi walked into the room,
"What was?" Yoongi quizzed, stealing an apple from the fruit bowl before taking the drink you were holding out for him and sipping on it while you shook your head.
"Us, dating."
"Ew. Don't. Yn is gross," He hissed stepping away from you and looking at you as though he was truly disgusted with you. It wasn't that either of you found one another gross, you just didn't feel any kind of connection other than a strong friendship and Yoongi knew of your crush on Hoseok from all those years ago.
"I'll take the iced tea back then,"
"Yn is the best person in the world," Yoongi says quickly before running back out of the house and giving you and Hoseok some peace alone together.
"So you don't date but live together? Doesn't that get complicated?" Hoseok asked as you slid him his favourite drink and smiled at you,
"Nah, whenever he had someone over I just go out to Jimin's for a while." You shrugged your shoulders and Hoseok chuckled at the thought of it.
"So she left you the house?" Hoseok asked before taking a sip from his drink and smiling at how right you'd gotten it for him.
"Yeah, as well as the stall and almost everything she owned, it's insane." You glanced around. You never would have imagined a sweet old lady leaving such a massive home and business to you and yet here you were. It never seemed real, especially since you hadn't even gotten any of the legal things to go through yet.
"She didn't have anyone but you thought." Hoseok reminded you, running his hand over yours as he felt a jolt of electricity run through his body.
"That's true," You laughed a little and then looked back at Hoseok and smiled. He smiled back at you before remembering what you said to him when you first saw him.
"Is the bank giving you a hard time with the money?" He questioned slowly. Even if he was supposed to be on vacation from work he couldn't stop his mind from going into lawyer mode whenever it called for it.
"No, the dumb lawyer I hired isn't giving me any information after he ran off. So I'm behind on rent payments for the house and for the stall." You groaned and ran your hands over your face at the thought. The people in the market were being more than considerate about everything but the bank was threatening to take away the house. They didn't care that the lawyer had run away and given up on everything. It turned out he didn't know anything he was doing and was new to everything when he offered you his services.
"Dumb lawyer?" Hoseok leaned forward and you nodded, moving your hands away from your face and playing with your fingers nervously. When Mrs Cho first passed away everyone had told you to call Hoseok but you didn't want to, you didn't want to be the one to drag him back here so you went with someone else. Looking back on it now, you'd wished you'd gone to Hoseok first with everything.
"He didn't know what he was doing so he just walked out and won't give me any details on how to fix his mess." Anger boiled inside of Hoseok at the thought of someone fucking you over and he shook his head. There was no way he was going to just stand back and let this happen to you.
"Give me his name and business card, and I'll fix it." Fix it? What did he mean by Fix it? Was he going to get the guy fired? Kill him?
"Hobi." You trailed off, you weren't going to let him waste his vacation time on you. He was supposed to be here to spend time with family, or at least that's what his grandmother had told you last week when she'd dropped by.
"Little bug," He trailed off in the same tone you had used and you sighed at him,
"You can't. You're supposed to be on a break, not working while you're here," You scolded but Hoseok took your hand into his again and gave you a small smile.
"I don't care Give me his details."  You looked into his eyes and you knew he was never going to give this up. That was the thing about Hoseok, once he had his mind set on something there was going to be no going back from it.
"Fine," You mumbled before going to find all of the contact information and Hoseok smiled as he watched you walk away. There was no way he was going to let someone walk all over you, not when he could do something about it and help you get everything sorted.
Tumblr media
For the rest of the day, Hoseok was on the phone with your dumb lawyer and constantly taking down numbers and phoning people. You'd been watching him closely from the roof whilst being teased by Yoongi for watching him so much. Now you were at his grandparents having a wonderful meal with all of them together. His grandmother had insisted on you coming down when she heard the two of you had been together for most of the day and you weren't going to turn down a homecooked meal.
Since living with Yoongi the two of you had been living off of take-outs and scraps that Mrs Lee would give to you. It had been far too long since you had a huge homemade meal and you'd been excited. Even now when you'd eaten so much you thought you were going to explode.
"Do you remember the deal we had? If we weren't married by 30 we'd marry each other," Hoseok mentioned as you laughed a little and nodded your head. The two of you were only 16 when you came up with the deal but you'd both been pretty insistent that you were going to marry each other one day. You could still remember sitting in the park when Hoseok came over with the papers for you to sign, it was nothing more than a childish game but it felt real to you.
And honestly? You would keep it if it meant you got to have Hoseok in your life.
"I do, I'm pretty sure I kept the contract you both wrote it on." Hoseok's grandmother announced before leaving you and Hoseok alone at the table, you laughed a little before looking down at your bag. You had to give Hoseok what Mrs Cho had left for him in her will.
"Before I forget," You mentioned before bending down and reaching a box out of your bag. It was a metal container that was locked up pretty tight with a padlock on the front, you had no idea what it was but you knew you had to give it to him.
"What's this?"
"Mrs Cho left it for you in her will, I have no idea what's inside of it but I know that-" You lifted the necklace from around your neck and handed it to him and smiled as he twirled the key around in his finger.
"This opens it, I was under strict instructions to never look inside." Hoseok narrowed his eyes at you playfully,
"So how do you know the key fits?" He teased as you whined and rolled your eyes at him.
"She gave me the key a week before she passed away, told me I would know what to do with it. Then in the will, it said it was for you...well the box was I just had the key." You shrugged your shoulders. You'd been interested to see what it was Mrs Cho had left for him but you weren't going to go against the wishes of a deceased loved one.
"Oh."
"I don't know what it is but she said you had to be alone while reading the letter and the contents." You told him before handing him the wax-sealed letter.
"I'll open it when you head home," He promises before a photo frame was placed down in front of you. Instantly you knew exactly what was inside and you couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the contract. It had already started to get worn around the edges and appear older than it was and it was strange to see it. Your names are still signed and dotted at the bottom, with the date you had signed them.
"Whoa, even back then you were a lawyer," You laughed as you noted all of the smart words that had been in a kid's contract, and then your eyes glanced over it one more time. It looked too authentic to be something sixteen-year-old Hoseok would have just made up on his computer.
"Hey, this is a real contract. I looked it up," Your mouth fell open hearing Hoseok admit that and you turned to look at him. Your faces were centimetres away from one another and he smirked at you,
"So I have to marry you when I'm 30?" You laughed softly as he nodded his head with a proud smile on his face. When he was sixteen he was content to marry you as soon as he turned the legal age but he knew he had to wait.
"You signed," He pointed at your signature and you bit your lip, deciding to tease him a little for a short while.
"Hmm, but do I realllyyy want to marry a lawyer? I mean, you're just so uptight." You teased before he tickled your sides making you squeal and almost drop the frame.
"You have two years to find someone or that ass is mine," He smirked at you making your entire body heat up at the thought of it all. Would he really marry you? You inched closer to him and he smiled, his eyes flicking from your lips to your eyes as he moved closer. Your lips almost touch until,
"Who wants cake?!" His grandmother sang out making you spring away from one another and stumble over the words to say yes to more food.

The next morning was abnormally hot once again and Hoseok wanted to come by and see if he could help with anything. Your lawyer was still being quite short with him so he was waiting for a phone call from someone at his office for some outside help.
"Morning," Hoseok called out as he walked up the driveway to see you already set up outside. It was barely 6 am and you had giant planks of wood everywhere, as well as paint so he assumed that you were going to be fixing the porch this morning.
"Morning Hobi. What are you doing here?" You laughed when you saw Hoseok standing by the steps of the porch dressed in another suit and carrying a bag in his hand.
"Food, I was under orders to bring you some and I also came by to help." He handed you the bag and you smiled already smelling the brilliant cooking from his grandmother.
"Help?" You quizzed, he was already helping you so much with the lawyer you didn't want him to think he had to help you with everything else as well.
"Yeah, help with whatever I can." He gestured to the porch and you glanced at him, looking him up and down as you tried to figure out if he was going to change into any other clothes but he didn't have another bag.
"In a suit?"
"Yeah..." He trailed off slowly as you laughed a little,
"Hoseok. That suit looks like it cost more than the house. What if you ruin it?" He shrugged his shoulders. It didn't matter if it got ruined, he was going to help you and he wasn't going to take no as an answer.
"I don't care, let me help."
"Do you even know how?" You teased as he looked over at everything you had set up. You knew two people were going to be better than just one fixing a porch, Yoongi was busy and Jimin had a huge delivery day today so you were on your own unless you accepted Hoseok.
"No, but I'm a fast learner."
"Take off your blazer and I'll teach you." You laughed turning your back to go and eat while Hoseok took off his blazer and got ready to learn everything that he possibly could.
Tumblr media
"I can't believe we did it," You said as you looked around at the beautiful porch the two of you had fixed up. It looked as though it was done by a professional and you couldn't have been happier to spend your summer days with Hoseok by your side.
"I told you, I'm a fast learner." He chuckled, painting the bannister in front of him and you smiled and nodded your head in agreement, he'd been the best help you could have had. It took a little longer than expected but you were more than happy with the outcome.
"You are, thank you for helping me Mr Jung," You laughed while painting the final piece of the bannister and smiled in triumph, it was all done to perfection. All you had to do now was wait for it to dry.
"We make a great team." Hoseok chuckled,
"The best team!" You went to high-five Hoseok only to splash a little paint onto his cheek and gasp out suddenly as you saw the small speckle on his cheek.
"Shit." You hissed out as he gasped dramatically and stared at you, his eyes never moving from yours as he playfully glared at you.
"Did you just paint me?" He moved closer to you so you took a step back and whimpered out,
"Maybe a little."
"Okay...Okay, well if it's only a little you won't mind if I-" He didn't finish before he painted a small stripe across your right cheek making you yell out at him.
"Hobi!" You cried out before painting his cheek and he continued to pain you back. Pretty soon it was a paint war and the two of you were running away from one another trying not to get caught with paint. You ran as fast as you could around the property trying to find somewhere you could hide and sneak up on him.
"Little bug, come out, come out wherever you are!" He yelled as you hid behind one of the big trees on your property, trying to catch your breath and stay as silent as possible. You peeked out to see if he'd been around you but there was no sign of him just yet,
"GOT YOU!" He yelled before holding you from behind and laughing as you wriggled around in his arms, begging for him to let you go but he just added another stripe of paint to your face making you whine at him.
"EVIL!"
"You started this little bug, don't call me evil." He laughed letting you go gently before you whined at him, looking at him with a pout on your face. Hoseok laughed and you soon joined in, his laughter and smile were too damn infectious not to.
"We should go and shower before we go to your grandmother's...I don't think she'd appreciate us showing up caked in paint." You motioned to your face and his which was covered in splashed paint.
"Does the shower even work in your house?" He questioned nodding over to the fixer-upper and you shook your head. The plumbing had been shut off while you started working.
"No. But it does at Yoongi's." You laughed starting to head down the road with Hoseok by your side, both of you nudging into one another as you walked. Your hands brush against each other and make your head spin and your heart race.
"He has two showers, you'll love it. Thank you for helping me today, you really didn't have to." You mentioned as you kept walking together toward Yoongi's place.
"I know. I wanted to help you out,. What kind of future husband be if I didn't?" He laughed throwing an arm around you and walking as though this was something the two of you did a lot together.
As you walked you felt the beginning of rain and you smirked, you knew you had been right about it going to rain and now you could finally prove it to Hoseok.
"I told you so," You smirked at him, holding your hand out to feel more tiny droplets falling down onto your skin.
"Told me what?" He laughed not feeling anything,
"That it was going to rain!"
"What are you even talking-" He stopped as all of a sudden it was like the floodgates had opened and it began to pour it down with rain. Hammering down as though someone had turned on the shower,
"Holy fuck!" He yelled out as he suddenly got drenched from the rain making you giggle as you looked at him,
"Cows lay down when it's going to rain, it's not an old wife's tale." You laughed spinning around under the water but all Hoseok could think of was you getting sick in the rain.
"Come on, you're going to get sick" He scolded, running you over in the direction of an old barn and pulling you inside. Just as the thunder began to start and you smiled, thankful you both had somewhere dry to wait out the storm.
"I told you," You giggled as you looked at him, your body beginning to shiver as Hoseok glanced over at you and instantly felt bad that you were going to freeze inside of this barn.
"Fuck, here," He laid his blazer over your shoulders but the fabric was wet and didn't do anything to stop you from feeling cold.
"I can start a fire, g-get me some hay and some wood," You shivered as you looked around for somewhere to start a small fire to keep you both warm while you waited for the storm to die out.
"You're such a liar! I did not," You whined and pushed Hoseok before quickly cuddling back into him not wanting to get too cold. There was a small fire burning and you were close by trying to warm up. Hoseok had one arm around you as you did your best to stay close to one another.
"You did too. You totally kissed me first," Hoseok smirked as he poked your cheeks but you shook your head. There was no way you had made the first move on Hoseok, you knew that for a fact since you'd written all about the kiss in your journal at the time.
"Erm no. You kissed me first, I remember because I wrote about it in my journal" You instantly hated yourself for admitting that out loud and a giant smirk took over Hoseok's face,
"You wrote about me in your journal? How cute!" He cheered loudly before squeezing your cheek gently.
"Shut up," You hissed before he looked down at you, his hand gently cupping your face in his hands. He inched closer and closer until you could feel his lips brush against yours and you whimpered a little You'd wanted this for years, you wanted to throw yourself against him. You were so desperate to finally have him all to yourself,
"Please," You begged a little and he chuckled kissing you softly. The kiss was gentle and soft against you and you whimpered as his teeth nipped your bottom lip only to soothe it with his tongue.
"F-Fuck," You whispered before your hand fisted in his shirt and yanked him closer to you, kissing him deeply and desperately as he smiled against your lips. Your tongue dated out and licked the seam of his lips, both of you were in a frenzy. You wanted to savour every second of this kiss and relive it over and over again for the rest of your life,
"W-Wait," He whispered when you felt his hands snaking underneath the cotton of your shirt,
"W-What's wrong?" You could feel your body burning as you looked at him
"I want your journal to say I made the first move,"
"Shut up and kiss me again." You whined at him before he crashed his lips to yours. Both of you were in a mess of hands that wouldn't stop, clothes flying behind you until you were naked in front of one another.
"Shit," He whispered as you kneeled in front of him and kissed down his chest, sucking on his nipples and smiling in delight as he let out the sweetest moans for you.
"W-What are you doing?" He whispered as you took his cock into your hand, giggling a little as you began to pump him slowly, adding a little pressure as you looked him in the eyes. Licking your lips as a bead of arousal leaked from the tip of his dick making your mouth water. This was everything you'd been dreaming off and more and it was finally happening.
"You have no idea how often I've thought of doing this," You mumbled before licking him from the base of his cock to the tip, tracing your tongue all over the pearly white drop of precum and sucking harshly as he moaned loudly. You were sure if anyone was passing by they would have heard but neither of you cared, you were too lost in the moment of need.
"F-Fuck holy shit," He mumbled breathlessly as you looked up at him to make sure you were doing a good job. His tongue ran along his bottom lip as he let out a shaky moan as you continued to take him to the back of your throat.
"Shit, Yn...Fuck, I've imagined it a lot too," You smirked a little as the comment only encouraged you to take him further down your throat, gagging a little at the size of him and he moaned out. His cock twitched inside of your mouth as he rested his hand on the back of your neck to help guide you.
"Look so good with my cock stuffing your mouth," He cried out as you continued to move your mouth around him, alternating between sucking him off and tracing your tongue around the tip of his cock. Each movement sends him over the edge in moans and groans,
"So good. Ugh fuck - good," He mumbled out not being able to form a full sentence as you pushed yourself down to the base of his cock, swallowing around him as hips stuttered a little at the feeling. Precum continued to leak from his dick but you didn't let it stop you. You loved the taste of him coating your tongue. It was like you could never get enough as you continued to work on him, taking in long drags of air to stop yourself from gagging.
"S-Stop...Fuck...Fuck Yn," He whimpered pulling you away from him quickly with a small pop, you pouted at him.
"I-I didn't want to finish in your mouth, not for the first time...Please?" You nodded and crawled back up to his lips, kissing him softly as you hovered above him.
"I need you," You whispered as he looked up at you with complete love in his eyes, his hands resting on your hips as you guided his cock inside of you. Your eyes were screwed shut as you tried to get used to the size of him stretching you out around him and he grunted at the feeling,
"So fucking warm." He moaned out as he softly kissed up and down your neck, your pussy clenched around him at the small loving action and you whimpered. You could feel every inch of him stretching you out and tightly around him and you never wanted this to end.
"Oh H-Hoseok," You moaned out as opened your eyes slowly and looked at him, he blushed as he leaned up to kiss you, neither of you moving but moaning out at the sudden closeness that you had to one another. It was something neither of you dreamed of, nothing was ever going to compare to this moment.
You felt like paradise to him, as though he'd finally been in a place he was supposed to be all of this time and he was never going to leave. Once this was over he was going to quit and move back here just to be with you,
"YN," He moaned out as he felt you slowly beginning to rise and fall against his cock, your thighs burning at the sensation but you moaned out in pleasure. Completely forgetting where you were and just enjoying who you were within the moment.
"Hobi," You moaned out wrapping your arms around the back of his neck and bringing him into a deep kiss, your lips battling against one another in a rushed and frenzied kiss.
"You feel so fucking good Yn. So fucking tight for me," He moaned out as he began to thrust up to meet your slow rocking hips. Your moans were louder than before and your nails dug into his shoulder as you both began to move a little faster now, no longer being able to hold back from the pleasure you were craving.
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Just like that!!" Your back arched toward him and he smirked down at you, taking your left breast into his mouth and sucking harshly as you let strings of curse words fall from your lips. His cock moved in and out with such precision and speed it made you feel like you were floating on top of a cloud. It was unlike anything you'd ever felt before.
"H-Hoseok...Fuck, c-close." You whispered as he continued to fuck into you roughly. His hands held onto your hips tightly as he continued to watch you in amusement.
"Please...Please! Fuck!" You begged over and over again as he continued to fuck into you, your words encouraging his movements deeper inside of you as you moaned out louder. Your screams were drowning out the sound of thunder and rain and all either of you cared about was your pleasure.
"Yn...Shit," He hissed as he felt himself getting closer to his own release, your pussy clenching around him only encouraging his fast-approaching orgasm.
"Hobi," You whimpered as you looked at him letting him know you were in the same boat and bucking your hips up to meet him as he continued to thrust deeply into you. His lips found yours once again and he was kissing you lovingly as you squeezed around him.
"C-cum...I-I need to feel it Yn," He whispered as he looked you in the eyes, your entire body was on fire and your orgasm hit you. It felt as though it had you falling happily from the cloud you were once on. It had you crying out loudly leaving you breathless and shaking as your felt your arousal mixed with Hobi's dripping down your legs. He laughed softly as he looked back at you with a shy smile,
"Hoseok...I love you." You whispered before leaning down and kissing him again. Both of you whimpered as you moved away from his lap and carefully laid down on the floor in front of the fire.
"I love you too," He snaked an arm around your waist and pulled you closer to him, pressing his lips to your shoulder as you let out a small laugh.
"I think we should say sorry to grandmother for missing dinner..." You told him before making him laugh along with you.
Tumblr media
Weeks began to go by in a blur and the house was finally finished, the money was sorted and Hoseok was planning on moving in with you as soon as things were sorted back in the city,
"Mrs Lee, are you coming by tonight?" You quizzed as you finished serving a customer a bunch of flowers. Hoseok was back at the house finishing everything so that it would be perfect for the party that was going to be thrown.
"Of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world!" She cried out happily as you let out a loud giggle. Things with Hoseok had been going perfectly and it finally felt as though everything was going right in your life, you had the man of your dreams and the home of your dreams with you. Nothing could get better than that.
"Hi, can I help you?" You asked as you noticed someone looking a little lost, it was obvious she wasn't from around the village since she was dressed pretty smartly.
"I'm looking for Yn." She looked you up and down before glancing around. She had no idea where you were but all she knew was your name and that you were from the village Hoseok had grown up in.
"That's me. Are you here to pick up the wedding flowers?" You quizzed looking down at the notes you had for yourself not noticing as the woman stormed over to you and smashed a vase onto the ground. You gasped out and jumped away from the glass and water that was leaking,
"Erm...Excuse-" You tried to say but she was already screaming at you, turning red in the face with anger.
"You're a fucking whore!" She screeched making your whole body burn as you looked around, people were beginning to turn and stare over in your direction and you looked back at her,
"What?" You were confused as to what she was talking about. Maybe she'd found one of the business cards for the stall and got things messed up. You had no idea why some random woman would be calling you such a thing.
"A home-wrecking whore!" Another vase was smashed and she began throwing some of the flower designs you'd been making to sell at the stall and Mrs Lee began walking over to defend you.
"Excuse me, miss! Please don't-" Mrs Lee tried to stop her but the woman continued to smash things, throwing things and even stomping flowers into the ground while calling you a string of mean names.
"You're nothing but a little fucking village slut! I bet you steal all the men don't you?!" You flinched as she screamed in your face but you didn't want to appear as though you were weak. Not many things scared you but a screaming woman was maybe up on the list.
"I don't know you, I have no idea what you're talking about. Please, can you calm down and tell me what you think this is all about," You begged and she slammed her hands down onto the top of the stall making you flinch once again.
"Hoseok! He's fucking mine, or he was until he decided to dumb me for your ugly self," Your stomach dropped. Hoseok was cheating on her with you? Hoseok was with someone?!
"What?"
"We were engaged! You know what, you can keep him. I hope he cheats on you as he did to me!" She smashed yet another design before walking away. People all watched as you stared down at the broken glass and flowers that were on the floor.
"Yn...Sweetie," Mrs Lee rubbed your lower back and you just let the tears build up as you lowered yourself onto the ground and began to clear up everything that was on the floor.
"Yn." Mrs Lee said sweetly, placing her hand on top of yours and shaking her head,
"We will take care of this." She tells you as she stands you up carefully and watched as you tried not to break down in front of all of the people that were staring over at you.
Tumblr media
"Hey, I was wondering when you would get back. The movers said they'll have my stuff here on Friday," You stared at Hoseok in silence as he spoke to you, he pressed his lips to yours and smiled before heading into the kitchen. The house was decorated to perfection and you could smell all of the food he was cooking for the party tonight. You couldn't believe him.
He had a fucking fiancé and yet here he was playing happy families with you as though he hadn't a care in the world. You stared at him and then over at the frame on the floor. It was the contract the two of you made about getting married and that was when everything hit you.
You were sleeping with a man who was engaged, ruining someone's life! Tears began to gush down your face and Hoseok stopped and stared over at you,
"Little bug? What's going on?" He began to walk over to you but you moved away from him, sobbing as you shook your head at him.
"No! No!" You yelled out making him freeze in place, he'd never heard you yell at someone before and it was scary.
"Yn...What's going on? Talk to me," He begged but all you could see was the guy that had been lying to you for the last six weeks, the same man that had left his fiancé back at home and cheated on him with you.
"I-I can't even fucking look at you," You whimpered as you looked away from him and began to feel sicker and sicker with yourself.
"Yn. What happened?!"
"You're engaged! Your little fiancé decided to come by!" You yelled out as you stared back at him. Hoseok didn't even flinch when he heard that she'd been by.
"Yn, it's not what you think." That was what they all said right?! It wasn't what you thought, it was all some big misunderstanding but it didn't feel that way when she was smashing up your stall.
"No?! Because she was pretty convincing when she smashed my shit up!" You yelled before running your hands over your cheeks, trying not to cry too much but the tears wouldn't stop.
"Why did you even fucking stay here if you were engaged back home!?" You stared him in the eyes and he shook his head at you. None of this was what you thought it was, it was just some big misunderstanding.
"I didn't want that life. I didn't want her and-"
"And so you just left her and cheated on her with me?!" You yelled out as he shook his head, stepping closer so you took another big step back. You didn't want him to touch you right now,
"Yn. I didn't cheat on her," He told you sternly, there wasn't any way on this planet he would cheat on somewhere.
"So we didn't sleep together?" You asked sarcastically before he sighed and shook his head at you,
"We did but...But I'd broken up with her a long time before that."
"Bullshit!" You snapped out. If they'd broken up she would have had no reason to come to your place and start breaking things, embarrassing you in front of everyone you knew.
"I can prove it, I have texts and emails from her from weeks before I even came back here. I was supposed to visit for a week and go home to make sure winter knew it was over between me and her for sure. I broke up with her months ago." You frowned at him. If he was only supposed to visit for a week...Why did he stay so long? Why did he put off going home?
"Why did you stay? You said you'd be here for a week so why did you stay?" Your heart raced as you stared back at him, he slowly began to step toward you and this time you didn't move.
"Because I didn't want to be away from you Yn...I felt everything I'd been feeling when I was a kid and I couldn't go back to the city."
"That's a lie," You stuttered out, you wanted to believe him but there was no way that was all there was to him staying here. There had to be something else.
"It's all of that and Mrs Cho asked me to."
"What?" You stuttered out, it was the first time either of you had spoken about her since the house was finished and it was jarring hearing him speak about her as though she was still here.
"In the box that she gave me. She left me a note telling me to stay and help you out, she knew I'd do it. She left me instructions. I wasn't allowed to let you fall into a state," You sniffled a little as you stared at him,
"So you stayed out of obligation?"
"No, I stayed because um in love with you! The next day, when I came by to help I was going to see if you needed me to stay...But then we slept together and...everything just fell into place for me. I knew I was supposed to be here with you and that is why I stayed." You both stared at one another, breathing heavily as you shook your head,
"S-So I'm not a home-wrecking whore?"
"Is that what she called you?" He asked dryly as he thought about Winter coming near you at all.
"Things between her and I was over before I even came here...She's just attached...Please, you have to believe me," The strange thing about all of it...was that you did. You believed him and you nodded,
"I-I do." He smiled weakly before kissing the top of your head softly, wrapping his arms around your waist and bringing you closer to him.
"She'll never come near us again," He promised before you relaxed in his arms.
"We have one more problem," You mumbled against his chest as he looked down at you,
"Mrs Lee might be ready to kill you...We have some explaining to do to the market holders." You laughed dryly and he joined in with you and whined a little.
"I'll explain everything, right now."
"Is this an excuse to get out of doing the cooking?" You quizzed as he smirked at you and winked,
"I love you." You told him before grabbing him and kissing him roughly.

"To the very happy couple!" Mrs Lee cheered as she held up her wine glass getting everyone out in the garden to cheer with them. Hoseok and you were inside the house and smiling over at the contract on the wall,
"Happy to know we stuck to it," Hoseok chuckled as he hung up the wedding certificate beside your marriage contract from when you were kids.
"I love you Mrs Jung," He whispered before brining you into a deep kiss, your arms wrapping around the back of his neck as he pulled you closer with a groan,
"How long do you think we have to wait until we can kick them out and I get you all to myself?" He whispered making your entire body shiver,
"Hmm...About six hours, they love a good party." You smirked before slipping away from your husband and going to join everyone outside for a couple of drinks.

“Seo-ah, are you serious?! Why would you marry a stranger?”
Seo-ah sighed, zipping up the second suitcase with ease. She hadn’t had much to pack; most of the valuables had been sold or pawned, and only the necessities were afforded.
“Look, Jinah. He’s a stranger to you, but I already know him. I’m sorry I haven’t introduced you two before, but I wanted to make sure you wouldn’t be in harm’s way if he turned out to be like Lee Geum. He’s wealthy and agreed to help you with your schooling, and he’s been nothing but nice and courteous to me. I could do a lot worse.”
“But you don’t even love him! If you’re doing this for my sake, Seo-ah, I’m sure we can work something out-”
“I may not love him, Jinah, but he is a good man. I like him, and I’m sure I could love him one day.”
“But what about him loving you,” Jinah pointed out.
“Are your bags packed?” Seo-ah asked, brushing her question aside. She felt guilty for lying to Jinah, who’d been her closest friend and confidant for years, but there was no way she was going to tell her she was getting married to someone she’d known for an evening. It was bad enough pretending that they’d been secretly dating for some time.
Jinah deserved to go through school happily and without misplaced guilt for making her marry someone for his money.
Jinah sighed and dragged her suitcase of things over to stand beside the two Seo-ah had packed. Three suitcases between the two of them, for the whole apartment, was kind of sad.
Seo-ah shook her head, dispelling the thoughts, and curved her lips into a half-smile.
The glare of a sun reflecting off a windshield shone through the window, alerting her that her ride was there.
“Let’s go, Jinah.”
Seo-ah carried the suitcases out to the car, where Min Yoongi was standing.
“Min Yoongi, this is my dongsaeng, Kim Jinah. Jinah, this is my husband, Min Yoongi. I’m just going to drop the key off at the landlord’s, and we can leave.”
She returned to Yoongi shaking Jinah’s hand solemnly, one side of his mouth tilted in a small smirk. “Of course, Miss Kim.” He handed her into the passenger seat, turning to offer his hand to Seo-ah. He settled in beside her in the back seat and Hoseok took off.
They arrived at the villa in record time, and Seo-ah anxiously watched Jinah’s reaction to their new home. She seemed impressed by her surroundings, but stayed close to Seo-ah’s side.
Hoseok brought Jinah’s suitcase to a room overlooking the gardens, with a cosy natural ambiance supplied by plants, clean lines, and the wall of windows.
“Feel free to make changes to the room as suits your taste,” supplied Yoongi, casually leaning against the wall as the sisters whispered. “The remote on the table there controls the blinds, so don’t worry, you do have privacy here.”
Jinah bowed. “Thank you very much, Min Yoongi-ssi. I will be very comfortable here.”
“Good. Seo-ah, Hoseok’s brought your luggage in, if you want to unpack.” He headed down the hall to the room at the opposite end, also overlooking the gardens. Seo-ah was definitely going to have fun digging in them in the summer.
She appreciated how Yoongi inferred that she’d been there before and knew where all the rooms were, helping her further the deception to her sister, who’d followed her along like a duckling.
The door swung open to another glass-walled room, still comfortable-looking like Jinah’s, but done in darker tones. The floor-to-ceiling curtains were dark green and not pearl grey, the bedding was black and not white, and the furniture was varying shades of grey and black, with green accents dotted here and there.
Seo-ah’s suitcases stood by the foot of the bed. Yoongi opened a door on the right, remarking that he’d bought more hangers like she’d told him, so there should be enough room for her things. The other door opened a crack, revealing an ensuite bathroom.
“I’ll give you the house tour while your sister settles and we can get to know each other,” suggested Yoongi firmly, escorting Jinah out of the room.
Seo-ah flashed him a grateful smile and took her suitcases to the closet.
The light automatically flipped on when she stepped in, and reality hit her like a ton of bricks.
The left side of the closet had rows of name brands hanging from the bars and stacked neatly on the shelves, the island in the middle was full of colour supplied by patterned handkerchiefs, reflective metal jewellery and expensive-looking watches.
She’d somehow ignored the fact that this ruse required her to share a room with this man, share a bed- would that just be in the literal sense or the physical, as well? She should have asked. She supposed since they were legally married, and the only lie was that they were in love, Yoongi would like the benefits of having a wife he was going through so much trouble for.
Seo-ah slid down the wall, breathing quickly as her gaze flashed between the chipped edge of her suitcase and the soft row of black suit pants.
What was she doing here? Sure, she was a decent actress, acting like everything was fine every single day, but what on earth had possessed her to think she could fool high society, some of whom were literal professionals at the skill!
What possessed Yoongi to propose to her and explain her role, for that matter? He could have hired one of his professional actress friends, which would certainly have made a more believable story to the tabloids than him marrying some nobody he’d met a week ago!
Okay, she’d done it because she was desperate, but what about him? He was rich, he could solve any problem just by throwing some won around.
Focusing on the questions she was going to throw at him when he returned from his hosting, Seo-ah took a deep breath and stood up.
~~~
Her row of clothes looked dismal across from his, but it was the best she could do. She wiped her hands on the back of her jeans and opened the door to her bedroom. Time to go play the part of loving wife and hope she could fool her sister.
She followed the sound of voices to the living room, where Jinah was drinking tea and smiling at Yoongi. He’d done well if Jinah had opened up that much to him already.
The flicker of hope that she could do this burned a little brighter in her chest.
“I’m glad to see there’s no blood on the floors yet,” she greeted them, smiling approvingly at Jinah. “You’re doing well,” she congratulated Yoongi. “Jinah took two months to warm up to my first and last boyfriend. She scared him off eventually.”
“So that’s why you agreed to marry me before you introduced me to your sister,” realised Yoongi. “Don’t worry, she doesn’t scare me. You, on the other hand-”
Jinah coughed, pretending she wasn’t laughing at her brother-in-law or at her sister’s expense. “He’s a smart one. You could’ve done worse, I suppose,” she mused. “At least he’s not Gu Taewon.”
Seo-ah rolled her eyes, relieved that everything was going well. “Is either of you hungry? It’s almost dinnertime.”
“I was planning on ordering fried chicken,” said Yoongi.
“But from where?” asked Jinah, narrowing her eyes in a semi-teasing challenge.
He narrowed his in return. “Bb.q, of course.”
Jinah let the tension sit between them for a minute before straightening with a smile. “Good, I approve of him. Have a happy marriage, unnie, oppa.”
Yoongi glanced at Seo-ah, who shrugged. “Chicken sounds good. Honey garlic is Jinah and my go-to.”
“Noted. Excuse me.”
He left to make the call and Seo-ah crossed the room to sit beside Jinah. “Please tell me you were nice to him.”
“Of course. I asked him about his intentions–sadly I was too late to ask before he married you–” she glared, “but he seems decent, so I’ll give you my support and best wishes for happiness. But if he hurts you, I’ll have you out of here and serving him divorce papers before you can say Agust D.”
It’s only for five years, she wanted to reassure her. It’s on a contract. I can survive five years of anything as long as you’re taken care of. I’m not so naive that I didn’t get my own copy of the contract and put it in my bank box. Everything will be okay.
“Thank you for your support, Jinah. I’m sorry I hid this from you as long as I did.”
“It’s okay, unnie. You were busy stressing about the finances. I’m glad you had Yoongi oppa to brighten up your life.”
Seo-ah smiled sadly at her. “Thank you, Jinah.”
~~~
Jinah headed to her room after the dishes were washed, leaving Yoongi and Seo-ah in the kitchen alone.
“I usually have a housekeeper come and clean once a week, and the maid cleans up after she cooks,” said Yoongi. “You don’t have to wash the dishes yourself.”
“Oh, you have a maid. Of course. I don’t mind doing the dishes, though. It reminds me of the happy times when my whole family would do them, before my parents died.”
“If I may ask, how did they die?”
“It was a car accident. I’d scraped together my savings from my job and Jinah had contributed from her after-school job, and we sent them off on a date for their twentieth anniversary. They were on their way home when the driver behind them had an aneurysm and hit them. It was a tragedy all around.”
“I’m sorry for your loss, Seo-ah. That must have been difficult.”
“I had to drop out of university to raise Jinah, but it could have been worse. Several of our neighbours took care of us until we moved to what’s now our old home, and I was nineteen so I was given custody of Jinah. It would have been worse if we’d been separated or put in a home or something. Anyways, that’s enough sad memories. Are your parents still alive?”
“No.”
The short answer was all she got. “Any siblings?”
“No. I had a brother, but I haven’t seen or heard from him in years.”
“Why did you choose me to be your wife? You’re rich, surely you know some actress…”
The small smirk appeared on his face again. “I don’t want a professional actress wife. She’d be under too much scrutiny for her own work, there’d be fans to deal with, the speculation after the contract ended…so much more mess. You…you intrigue me. We know where we stand, and I’ll admit, I like the fact that I can help you. The actresses I know are well-off in their own right, my money is pointless to them–although I’m sure they wouldn’t mind spending it.”
Seo-ah hummed, putting the final glass away in the cupboard.
“What exactly is your job? I need an answer that’ll fly with Jinah, not just ‘I don’t actually know what my husband does, he makes money so I don’t care,’ because that isn’t me. You said you could tell me why you need me, beyond ‘business reasons,’ once I was your wife.”
Yoongi pulled out a bottle of whisky from another cupboard, followed by two glasses, and began walking wordlessly towards their bedroom.
Seo-ah hung the dishtowel up to dry and followed him apprehensively.
Yoongi settled on the charcoal grey sofa facing the bed, the whisky on the table in front of him. He poured two glasses and handed her one once she perched on the other side of the sofa. Wow, that was cushy. She wouldn’t mind sleeping on it.
“As my wife, you are now entitled to legal protection and cannot be called on to testify against any crimes I may commit, and vice versa.”
Seo-ah swallowed, barely feeling the burn as the whisky settled in her stomach alongside the apprehension.
“I need a wife because I have a plan to execute regarding my business and the spies that are in it. You’re the perfect person to work for either side, and you’re legally removed from testifying.”
“Why would I be testifying against you?” she asked, barely above a whisper. Please do not have jumped from the frying pan to the fire.
“To everyone but you and your sister, I am known as Agust D.”
That is so much worse than I was expecting, was the first thing Seo-ah thought. “You…are Agust D, the head of Seoul’s underground?”
He nodded seriously.
Memories flashed through her mind. The faded scar on his face. The security around the villa. The shock on Hoseok’s face when he gave her his name-
“Is Min Yoongi your real name?”
He nodded at her again.
His head tilted back, adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed the rest of his whisky, unflinching. The glass met the glass of the tabletop with a sharp clink.
He leaned back, spreading his arms along the back of the sofa comfortably. “I say I’m the CEO of SVGA when I need a civilian business title. It’s an open suspicion that SVGA is a front for criminal activities. The NIS is always curious about SVGA. You are to be the bait that draws the rats out. You’re fresh blood, they’ll have an easy enough time pulling your records and seeing that you had financial difficulties. They’ll assume I’m extorting you or something of the kind, approach you with offers of help escaping my tyranny if you slip them information, and then you will tell me their names and I will take care of my problems.”
“So that is why I have to be a good actress?”
“Of course. Feel free to ‘slip’ when you’re in public, if you wish to have the NIS salivating after you even more.”
“When our contract ends, will I be able to testify against you then?”
His cold stare met hers. “We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”
“More importantly, how will you know if I do take the NIS up on their offer of rescuing me?”
“If this was a marriage of love, not convenience, we would trust each other,  no?”
“I suppose.”
“You haven’t yet given me any reason to mistrust you. Your sister believes your charade, which is proof enough of your skills. You’re an honourable woman. You made a promise to me, and you want the best for your sister. You won’t renege on our deal so fast.”
“You’re certainly rather sure about me. We’ve only known each other a week, you don’t know if I’ll turn you in for my freedom from associating with a known criminal and taking your money to support Jinah and me.”
What Seo-ah was quickly coming to realise was Yoongi’s signature smirk slipped across his face. “If you were going to do any of the things you’re mentioning, you wouldn’t be making me aware of the possibilities and actively making me consider my trust in you. You’re loyal, and you’ve thrown your lot in with me, for better or worse. That, in itself, is the biggest indicator that I should trust you.”
Huffing a sigh at his logic, because he wasn’t wrong but it felt like she’d lost somehow, she downed the rest of her whisky with a grimace. “I don’t know how you did it, that stuff burns.”
Yoongi’s smirk melted into a real smile, one that crinkled his eyes. “Practice, and also I can’t be a big bad mafia boss who coughs because of some whisky.”
She snickered at the image he provided.
He brushed off his pants and stood, holding his hand out to her. She looked at it, then up at him.
“Your glass.”
“Oh.” She handed it to him and he collected his from the table, leaving the room to return them to the kitchen, she assumed.
She donned her nicest pyjamas and then stood in the closet for several minutes, debating on her next action. They’d covered the topic of why they were married and what he expected from her, but she still didn’t know what they were going to do about their semi-pretend relationship in the privacy of their own home.
Shaking her head, she decided to simply go to bed and wait for Yoongi’s return so that they could continue their discussion.
Settled between the softest sheets she’d ever felt and pillowed on what felt like a cloud, she considered the evening’s revelations.
She’d willingly married a, if not the, most notorious crime boss in Seoul, simply so she’d be out of debt and he’d be free from moles. His name was Min Yoongi. What a cute name for a gangster, no wonder he’d become Agust D. His smile was cute, too. His eyes crinkled and his upper gums showed and it made her feel something warm and fuzzy inside.
Sighing, she turned to her other side, pulling the warm duvet up under her chin. Surely he’d be back in a minute…

You kept your distance from Hoseok on your return, he had respected that for the first week. You was just packing your stuff away for a weekend off when he appeared by the lockers. Resting against it, his head tilted to watch you, you couldn’t help but smile his direction. The view he witnessed made him smile like you had never seen before, making you suddenly see him in a new light.
“Why you so happy?” you asked slightly suspicious, but smiling feeling his cheery vibes. “Well it’s the first time I had off in weeks. The sun’s out, I’m healthy, my friends are healthy, what’s not to be happy about,” he said resting his head with his eyes closed, peace rippled over his face. “I think that’s the first time I’ve seen you smile or be happy to think of it,” you said shutting the locker.
“Well there’s not much to be happy about these days, it’s all work no fun,” he said with a wink, you chuckled as you locked your locker.
“Why don’t you join us?” he asked looking too excited at the prospect. “You bit your lip trying to contemplate the idea. “Don’t do that,” Hoseok asked, his eyes a little glazed over. “Do what?” you quizzed. “That lip biting, otherwise my promise to behave will be a lie,” he whispered gulping. You chuckled shaking your head at his switch from sad puppy to struggling flirting one. “Lee Wonho your disturbed you know that?” you teased making him blush. “Will you stop calling me Wonho, I’m Hoseok,” he replied.
“Just call him bunny, we do,” you heard Changkyun say from behind him. Hoseok rolled his eyes as Changkyun walked up to his hyung. Hoseok reached out to swat him, but Changkyun moved out his way, wrapping his arm round you instead. “I missed you,’ he said holding you tightly that you struggled for breath. “What did I say see, if you can’t say yes for me, say it for our kookang,” Hoseok chuckled.
Changkyun growled in his direction, “kookang,” you teased pinching Changkyun’s cheeks. “Really Hyung,” he whined in his elder’s direction. “So what do you say?” Hoseok asked. “Wait you coming with us this weekend? Please say you are,” Changkyun pleaded. He pouted like a soft whiny teenager, which had you chuckle as you bit your lip nodding. “Fine but no funny business,” you said prodding Hoseok’s chest, being surprised how hard his muscles was underneath his T-shirt, Hoseok smirking at your sudden reaction.
Kihyun’s face dropped when he saw you bundle out of Hoseok’s car, Rucksack and bags of Ramen, snacks and Soju in your hand. It stung that your friend didn’t seem to want you there. Jooheon and Minhyuk dashed to you excited to see your presence as Hyunwoo rushed to take your heavy rack sack, ignoring your swatting hands trying to shoo him away.
You noticed the three Tents and wondered if they would all fit in the two. You swung around to Hoseok eyeing him suspiciously with Jooheon, “So what’s the sleeping arrangements, surely seven of you can’t fit in two tents,” you said watching Hoseok’s face fall
“Your sharing with me,” Kihyun bit out, his eyes glaring at Hoseok’s sheepish face. “And me,” Hoseok said brushing his hand along his neck blushing. “Wait you said……..,” you paused looking at the guys. You knew if you pushed to be alone that it would make them be cramped. You’d decided to wait and deal with Hoseok later.
“Said what, what did he say?” Kihyun asked. “That he would teach me how to put up a tent,” you said quickly watching Hoseok smirk.
“I’m sure I can teach you how to undress it,” he winks. “It’s called dismantle,” Kihyun said, his face looking disgusted before Hyungwon elbowed him. “Or that but I prefer my description,” Hoseok said smirking. “So which ones ours,” you said looking at Kihyun who’s face beamed at your words. “Which one do you want?” He asked. You shrugged looking at them, “that one,” you pointed to the slightly larger Tent.
You was sorting your belonging in the tent when you was startled at the large body throwing himself into your view. When you opened your eyes, Hoseok was laying in the middle smirking. “What the fuck Hoseok,” you said swatting him with the hand that rested over your heart seconds before. Hoseok deeply chuckled pulling you into him, his hardened body taking you by surprise as you landed on his chest, “stop being melodramatic,” he moaned patting your head that still hadn’t moved from where you landed.
The electricity in the tent shooting through you both bringing you confusion. One minute he was being mean, then ignoring you after his emotional declaration, now he had switched the full on heat button. “If I knew to get you quiet all I had to do was throw you on my body, I would have done this weeks back,” he hummed, his hand stroking your hair as you felt dampness between your thighs.
The fear of another sticky spot being left was enough to make you throw your self off him hastily, earning a chuckle. “Do I smell or something?” he said pulling on your hands to bring you close again. “No just……,” you paused not knowing what to say. “Just what?” he asked, his eyes intensely on yours as he brushed his teeth over his bottom lip. You mirrored him as his eyes widened, making his grip tighter around you.
“Just…….Your messing up my side,” you said in an attempt to change the subject. “Is your sleeping bag here?” he asked playfully, “I don’t think so, so I’m perfectly where I need to be,” he added smirking.
“You think I’m letting my friend sleep next to you, with no back up I don’t think so,” Kihyun said behind you as he trawled into the tent slapping Hoseok’s legs. “She’s no safer with you then me,” Hoseok said with a Smirk that had a slight sting in his tone. Kihyun’s jaw clenched as you felt the atsmophere drop icy between the pair. “I’ll leave you two to discuss who’s sleeping where, I got things to do,” you said hastily escaping the tent.
Hyunwoo was prepping the fire Pitt with Minhyuk, when you approached them in desperate need of communication that wasn’t Kihyun or Hoseok. “You lovers had a tiff?” Minhyuk teased causing a scowl. “Lovers pffft, plus those two are more lovers, bitching about sleeping arrangements,” you chuckled as you sat on a log. “Have you thought maybe they both like you?,” Minhyuk said earning Hyunwoo to scowl His way. “What Kihyun don’t be daft, he’s just…… well he acts like a oppa that’s all, he means well bless him,” you said picking up a twig as you manhandled it in your hands to keep you grounded.
“Ok if you say so,” Minhyuk replied under Hyunwoo’s gaze, making you think he wanted to say more if his Hyung wasn’t present. “Do you need a hand?” you asked them both to change the awkward silence in its wake. “No were good,” Hyunwoo replied. “Actually we need some water, can you go to the stream and fetch some,” Minhyuk asked. “Of course which way,” you said standing up, “it’s over,”, “I know where it is come with me,” you heard Hoseok cut him off behind you as he walked in-between some trees, stopping to look back at you. “Well come on bring some empty bottles with you,” he said smiling.
You followed him through the trees, silence between you till you approached a running stream. “Here pass me a bottle,” he asked. As you passed him one, his hands reached for your wrist pulling you in to the watery setting. The impact making your clothes all soaking wet as he fell to the floor in laughter.
“Hoseok,” you spluttered as his laughter filled the air. You picked up the bottle that had fallen with you filling it while he calmed his hysteria. Squeezing the plastic bottle, you got him slightly wet. He paused, his face looking serious as he pinched his wet clothing from his chest in disgust. You stood back feeling he might get angry, but instead his face broke into a chuckle.
“Really Y/N is that all you have,” he teased as he stepped in to the stream, the water barely touching his knees. You splash the water into his face as you moved yourself backwards in the water from him. “Oh you want to play do you,” he threatened as he started splashing the water in your direction, with more force then you could imagine. The water chugging over you as any dry part of your body became soaking wet. Your hands pulled out to his wrist to pull him down with you, but you slipped falling backwards which increased his laughter. “You give up?” he teased earning a shake of your head as you attempted to splash him again. The only damage was to his top as it started to stick to his chest, his muscles becoming more of a show. The view made you pause to gulp his way, he used the opportunity to sit in the water with you as he pulled your body in to his.
Both of you laughing as he pushed back the strands of hair stuck to your face. His eyes not leaving yours as you fell into silence. “Your so beautiful Y/N, do you know that,” he said looking smitten. “You’re not too bad yourself Bunny,” you said with a wink. He brushed his thumb over your lip as he bit his own. In that moment you wanted to kiss him, have his lips on yours. You didn’t care for his confusing personality, you enjoyed this flirting red hot version and wanted to suck up as much as you could, before he changed again. Wanting to be taken right there in that stream filled your mind. But he hesitated as if his mind was struggling, you knew you was at risk of him pushing you away again.
“Wasn’t you asked to get water not play in it?” you heard Kihyun scorn you both, shaking you both from your thoughts. You looked up to see his eyes furrowed looking annoyed, you had seen it many times when he felt that the group had misbehaved. But his eyes brushed over yours and failed to soften, the feeling of guilt washing over you. “It’s called fun you should try it,” Hoseok bit out as he stood up holding his hand out for yours. “Sorry Kihyun,” you said taking Hoseok’s hand to Kihyun’s jaw clenching. “Don’t apologise because he doesn’t know how to have fun,” Hoseok growled.
Kihyun scrunched his face in anger before storming off, “Hoseok,” you scoffed frowning. “What, he needs to chill, he’s always so pent up,” he grimaced. “But still, I’m the intruder and it’s his weekend break too,” you said softly. Hoseok laughed hard, “no it’s not, it’s my break, they all tagged along,” he said walking out the stream, you following.
You was sat between Changkyun & Jooheon as you ate the delicious food Minhyuk & Shownu had made. Fire warming your skin alongside the summer heat, the beer making you sleepy. You leaned your head into Jooheon, while the groups discussed there upcoming schedules.
You closed your eyes briefly to the sounds of there giggling and chatter as sleep washed over you. You didn’t even wake when Hyunwoo carried you to your tent.
You woke during the night between Kihyun and Hoseok. Kihyun’s leg was laying over yours, while Hoseok’s arm rested over your waist as his warm breath fanned over yours fast asleep. You smiled looking at his features, how beautiful he was when he was relaxed. It was then the creases of his lips twitched towards a smile as his eye lashes fluttered, making you realise he was awake.
His eyes opening to smirk, “you thought I was asleep right? but I saw you,” he whispered pulling you closer making you lift your head to rest into his arms. “I don’t know what your talking about,” you chuckled. “I was watching the music you was making as you snored,” you added. Hoseok brushed your hair out your face. “I don’t snore and your such a lousy liar,” he said as he kissed the crown of your head.
It was then you felt Kihyun’s body brush into yours, his hands finding themselves around your waist, resting just above Hoseok’s arms. You looked at Kihyun’s arms confused why they was wrapping around you, looking up at Hoseok once more, his jaw clenching.
“Get some sleep Hoseok,” you said bringing him close enough to you on the hope that he wouldn’t cause an issue. You knew he was jealous at how close your friend was to you, but he had never witnessed the odd times Kihyun had showed comfort. It was his hidden peace of him that he only showed you as he felt comfortable in your company. You had fallen asleep spooning a couple of times over the past year, nothing more then just a friend comforting you.
When Hoseok had fallen asleep you felt Kihyun’s hands tuck between yours and Hoseok, clasping with yours. The tangle of you between your friend and your crush oddly helping you to fall asleep.

Request 26 ~ 2.0K ~ SFW ~ Fluff ~ S2L ~Prince Joshua would like nothing more than to have you to himself...forever.
𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘖𝘯𝘦 ❥ Moodboard
a/n: This is the end of Dark Light. I hope you enjoyed this lil story. Thank you again, for sending in this request!
Tumblr media
Prince Joshua stared at himself in the mirror while three of his servants dressed him for the day. There was a knock at the door and the young prince sighed. “Enter!” He called and glanced over to see Wonwoo entering his room along with his other royal guard Lee Hoseok. The two pressed their fist over their chests in greeting and Joshua rolled his eyes. “Did you bring the information I requested?”
Hoseok smiled with a nod his head, “Jungkook told us that the Duchess will be outside for most of the day along with Princess Shay.”
“For what reason?” Joshua pressed and Wonwoo spoke up from beside Hoseok.
“The Princess wanted to go horse riding and enjoy the nice weather.” Joshua frowned at the news. He had hopped that he would be able to spend some time with Duchess Y/N…alone. Wonwoo cleared his throat and walked over to the Prince once the servants all left. “My Prince…Jungkook has also told us of the Princess disinterest in marrying you.”
“And?”
Wonwoo smirked as he straightened out the Prince’s shirt. “It would also seem that the Princess and the Duchess are childhood friends. The King took lady Y/N in after her father passed away.”
“Really?” Prince Joshua couldn’t hide the smile that pulled at his lips. “I think we should escort the ladies on their ride today.”
Tumblr media
Princess Shay watched from her seat under a tree as Prince Joshua helped Y/N down from her face. Princess Shay couldn’t see Y/N blushing, but she knew the signs, the two were best friends after all. The moment Y/N’s feet touched the ground, Prince Joshua removed his hands from Y/N’s waist and offered her his arm, saying something that Princess Shay couldn’t hear. She locked eyes with Y/N for a moment and nodded at her friend, silently giving her blessing.
Princess Shay giggled to herself and tucked a curl behind her ear as Prince Joshua and Y/N walked closer to her. “I think I’ve found a new game to play.” Turning her attention to Hoseok, Princess Shay smiled. “Sir Hoseok?”
“Yes, Princess?” Hoseok crouched down to her level and the Princess stared at him for a short while.
“Would you like to help me marry off the Prince?”
Hoseok’s eyes widened and he nearly fell onto his butt at the Princess’ words. “P-Princess-”
“I think the two of them make a lovely couple.” Princess Shay nodded her head towards Prince Joshua and Y/N who were now crouched down talking about the flowers in front of them.
Hoseok watched the sight with a fond smile on his face before he turned his attention to the Princess. “You would be okay with your friend marrying the Prince?”
Princess Shay nodded her head. “As nice as the Prince is, he is far from what I fancy.”
Tumblr media
Y/N was surprised to have received the day off. It was rare that she wasn’t right by the Princess’ side, and she knew just how she wanted to spend her free time. Her knew collection of books finally came in and Y/N was determined to finish at least one today. Packing a small bag with two books, Y/N made her way to the kitchen and spoke with one of the cooks, Choi San, who happily filled her bag with snacks to take with her on her solo trip.  Y/N wasn’t going far in case Princess Shay needed her for anything. A quite get away to the pond that was a little way away from the castle. Heading for the stable, Y/N was surprised to fine Prince Joshua tending to his horse.
Y/N curtsied when the Prince noticed her and he smiled, “Duchess? What brings you to such a place?”
“I have the day off, your highness. I thought to spend my day by the pond, reading.”
“Would you care for my company? I was just about to take Axel for a ride.”
Y/N smiled as she politely accepted the Prince’s offer and once Axel was ready for the ride, Prince Joshua helped Y/N onto his horse. Jumping up behind her, Prince Joshua made sure that Y/N was comfortable and secure before he started the trip to the pond. Y/N tried her best to not touch Prince Joshua as they rode, but it was impossible with each step Axel took. Falling back slightly into the Prince’s chest, Y/N felt heat attack her face when she inhaled the scent of cinnamon and cedar…it was a scent that Y/N would come to associate with Prince Joshua.
At the pond, the Prince helped Y/n from his horse, and he took the bags from Y/N’s hands. “Allow me.” Prince Joshua smiled as he walked to a large tree and Y/N watched as the Prince tried to set up seating. Giggling at the Prince’s struggle, Y/N took pity on the young man and offered her helped. Together, the two of them set up a nice sitting area under the shade of the tree and Y/N laid out her snacks before she sat down. “I have to settle, Axel.” Prince Joshua left Y/N alone for a short while and Y/N watched as the Prince spoke softly to his horse and gave it an apple.
Y/N pulled one of her books from her bag just as the Prince came back and when he sat down, he raised an eyebrow. Y/N looked down at the book in her hands and back to the Prince’s face, “W-would you like me to read out loud your hig-”
“Joshua…just Joshua, please? I do not want you to treat me like everyone else.”
Y/N stared into the Prince’s eyes and smiled softly, “Very well. Joshua…would you like me to read out loud? Princess Shay tells me I have a very soothing voice.”
Prince Joshua nods his head and lays straight on his back, the leaves from above on the tree casting shadows on his delicate face. Joshua placed his hands behind his head and closed his eyes, “I’m listening.”
Y/N cleared her throat lightly and started to read out loud, her eyes every so often drifting to the Prince who made her heart thunder in her chest.

The King sat on his throne glaring down at the two young women below him. More than a dozen letters rested at their feet and tears rolled down both women’s eyes. The King refused to be swayed by their tears. They ignored his wishes and for that, both women must be punished. He waved over a few guards and when they moved to pull the two women away from each other, Princess Shay screamed. “If you hurt her, I’ll never forgive you Father!”
“Silence, girl!” The King hissed as he banged his fist on the arm of his throne. “If it wasn’t for your carelessness, I wouldn’t have to play my hand. You deliberately went against my wishes and conspired with this witch to overrule me!”
Y/N shook her head at the King’s words, she never wanted to overthrow him. The thought never crossed her mind. “Are you so hungry for power that you would deny us true love?” Princess Shay’s face contorted in pure anger and the King’s eyes narrowed into thin slits.
“There is no love when you sit on this throne.” The King waved his hand and the guards grabbed both women by their arms. “In four days, Duchess Y/N will be wed to Marquis Elijah…”
Y/N’s eyes widened at the King’s announcement, and she cried harder as she was dragged out of the throne room. The guards, once out of the King’s sight quickly let Y/N go and handed her to Jungkook who scooped her into his arms. Jungkook gave the guards a nod of his head and hurried to Y/N’s room without a single stop. Jungkook set Y/N her bed and lowered himself to the floor in front of her, his large eyes wet with unshed tears.
“I am so sorry, Y/N. It’s all my fault.” Jungkook is beside himself. He thought that he had been discreet when he sent his letters to his cousin that held love letters from Y/N to Prince Joshua, but in the end one of the King’s guardsmen had intercepted a few notes and made copies. Once the King had found out that Price Joshua was in love with Y/N and wanted to marry her instead of his daughter, he was livid. How dare these children make a fool out of him. “I-I will have Mark send word to Prince Joshua right away. Maybe he’s still close and can turn around. Surely the King wo-”
“He’s going to kill me.”
“What?” Jungkook had been confused by Y/N’s words. The King wouldn’t kill her over something like that. He’s sure that she got a harsh slap on the wrist and was overacting about the whole thing.
Y/N wiped at her face and pushed a few curls that had stuck to her wet cheeks from her face, “I’m to be wed to Marquis Elijah in four days’ time.”
The blood drained from Jungkook’s face at the news. Marquis Elijah? He was known to beat the women that he slept with and rumor on the street was that he had killed his last wife…strangled her with his bare hands. Jungkook quickly shook his head and jumped to his feet, “I won’t let that happen to you! J-Just wait, I’ll get you out of this mess.”

Prince Joshua sighed as he breathed in the salty air, he was on his way to another nation to visit in search of a man. Kim Taehyung was a myth that few knew of and once you crossed his path you were in for a lifetime of wealth and happiness. Prince Joshua had wealth and if he was lucky Taehyung would be able to give him the lifetime of happiness that he so dearly wished for. A shadow circled above and caught the Prince’s attention. When he looked up, he recognized Mark Tuan’s eagle as it swooped down. Holding his arm out, Prince Joshua smiled as the bird landed on his arm, and he quickly took the note that was tied to the bird’s leg.
“Are you hungry, my little friend?”
Prince Joshua walked into his cabin and set the eagle down on his desk. Silently, the Prince gave the eagle some food before he sat in his chair and opened the note. His brows furrowed together as he read the written words twice…three…four times before he slammed his hands down on the desk. “Wonwoo! Hoseok!” Prince Joshua screamed, and his two guards came rushing into the cabin with their swords held tightly in their hands. “Turn the ship around, now!”
“Prince?” Hoseok couldn’t believe his ears.
“Y/N’s in trouble.”
“Prince-”
Prince Joshua shook his head as Wonwoo started to speak. “As of right now, I am no longer a Prince. I am renouncing my tile and fleeing with the woman I love, who is to be wed to another.”
The guard’s eyes widened at the Prince’s words and Wonwoo was the first to speak, “My Prince…what are you saying?” Wonwoo eyed the letter that was crumbled in the Prince’s hand, and he steps forward. “May I read the letter?” Wonwoo took the letter that Prince Joshua gave him, and he easily recognized his cousin’s handwriting. Behind that letter was another one and Wonwoo’s eyes widened even more, the King of his nation wrote too.
“What is it, Wonwoo?” Hoseok questioned and Wonwoo sighed.
“Our King knows of the Duchess as does King Luther.” Wonwoo frowned as he spoke. “King Luther is threatening a war if the Prince continues to pursue the Duchess. Duchess Y/N is to be wed in four days from now.”
“What does our King say?” Hoseok wondered and Wonwoo smiled.
“He believes in love and doesn’t wish to see the Prince in any pain. He has been denounced as the next royal heir and banished from the nation.” Wonwoo stared at the ex-prince and shook his head. “Well, Prince, what would you like for us to do? It will be your last command as our Prince.”
Prince Joshua smiled at his friends and stood up, Send word to Father that I have accepted my fate and offer my blessings to my brother for he will take the throne in my place.” The Prince looked at the eagle and nodded his head. “Have the captain turn the ship around, I will not allow for Y/N to be wed to any other but myself.”

Hearts of Lust: Chapter 7
Tumblr media
Pairing Kim Namjoon X Reader
Genre: Collage!AU, Smut
Word Count: 1.K
Warning: Cursing, mentions of smut, smut, consumption of alcohol, mentions of violence, violence, crack personality disorders, Chaotic energy.
Summary: College is any young adult's prime years, at least that's what Lee (y/n) and Kim Namjoon thought. The two are infamous for two reasons, by two very different crowds. Among the professors they are picture perfect students with perfect scores, attendance, and image. However, among the student body they're the very essence of lust with amazing bodies, sex appeal, and skill. The two, although strikingly similar, butt heads quite a bit with competitions of everything from grades to who can get a person to drop their pants the fastest. With the two of them ready to conquer the school year it's all a matter of Go Big or Go Home.
Tumblr media
I glance over the group of guys beside me, the group of them doing different things in their own little sub groups. Hoseok, Jimin, and Jungkook are buzzing around making random spazzy gestures as they run in circles. Jin, Yoongi, and Taehyung sit at a table working on an assignment for their class. While Namjoon and I read the first book assigned by our lit. Professor.
I sigh, placing my book down and rubbing my eyes. The constant yelling and laughter coming from the three wild boys made it hard to focus on my book. I finally gave it a rest and marked my page before closing the book.
Instead I took out my loose paper notes from my earlier class and copied them down in my notebook in a neater fashion. I pull out my colored fine tip pens and markers, notebook, and the papers.
I then muted the yelling boys out and began to copy down the notes, memorizing them as I wrote. A quarter through my notes, I glanced at the clock. We only had an hour of study hall between the 2nd and 3rd lectures, and from what I can tell I only had a few minutes to pack up before we had to go. I decide to go ahead and start.
I packed my stuff quicker than I thought I would have, so with the few spare minutes I have to spare I sit watching kookie and Tae playfight. However things started to get a little too rough. A collective sigh left Namjoon and I, unconsciously my hand reaches out in a fist, A muscle reflex I gained when things like this happened. A group agreement that if two or more can't agree on something or if we cant decide who is to do something we play rock, paper, scissors. Loser loses the argument or does the task.
With three shakes I pop my hand out revealing paper, I glance over at Namjoon's hand. He holds out scissors. Despite the fact he still has his head stuck in that book reading the pages, I can still see that smug smirk tucked behind the cover and pages.
I groan as I drop my bag and stand from my chair. I walk over to the two and wedge myself between the two. I cross my arms and glare sharply at the two. "Stop it, If you want to fight, wait until you go to your martial arts club." I scold.
The two bowed their heads with a collective, "Yes Noona.". I nod my head in approval before walking back over to my seat. I sat in my seat but it wasn't long before the hourly bell rang. Namjoon and I walked to our lecture while the rest of them broke off to go to their other lectures. I sat in my seat beside the foul demon as class started.
Tumblr media
I wipe my stray hairs out of my face with my wrist holding the paintbrush in my hand. Glancing down at my sketch book where I glued and taped in my different references. The hue of one of the vases is a little darker than what I'd had mixed on my palate.
I walked back over to the paint station and began to mix that darker color. "(y/n)!" I hear Withrow call, "Yeah!" I call back. "I need you for a minute." she calls again, I put my palate down and grab a hand towel on the way out.
I wipe paint off as I make my way over to her, but my eyes widen at the crowd with her, "What's all this?" I gap looking over the crowd. "Well the fund raiser for the club went better than expected." She huffs. "The one for studio time?" I ask and she nods, "And the one that includes the art lessons." She adds.
My eyes widen, "It's a joint event?" I ask in a slight panic. She nods her head, I set out an aggravated scoff "I'll have to talk to the admin and secretary about this." I mumble. "It's okay I'm sure you and I can handle this," I assure.
I run back over to my work station and grab my apron, I put it on as I hurriedly rush back to the main classroom. "Hello everyone, welcome to the open studio and class. Mrs. Withrow is passing out a folder full of art styles we can offer to teach you today for those who want to learn. Everyone else  is welcome to do as they please because this is an open studio. All we ask is that you behave maturely, don't disturb those around you, and keep your area as clean as possible." I smile.
I hear sounds of agreement before letting the large group find their seat. "NOONA!!" I hear a familiar yell, My eyes widen as I see Kookie and Tae waving at me. "What are you two doing here?!? Don't you have dance practice with Hoseok?" I whisper quietly.
The two grin at me childishly, "Don't tell Hyung we skipped. We heard your fundraising and we both could resist coming to see you." Taehyung spoke up. I sigh and rub my hand over my face "Fine, hurry up and sit down. Don't cause too much trouble you two." I warn as they hurry off to grab a seat beside each other.
I go back to getting everyone settled. Without much thought I wonder the room helping the occasional person, flirting here and there as well. Open studio was half way over when the door was busted open to reveal a pissed off Hoseok.
"THERE YOU TWO ARE!" He screams, My eyes widen as he marches his way over to the two boys. Oh hell no, he doesn't get to come in here like that. I quickly place myself between the three of them and glare at Hoseok.
"Who the hell do you think you are coming in here like that. Can't you see they're working. you don't get to just come in here like that and snatch them up. So you best walk out that door and try again or so help me Jung Hoseok." I sneer.
Hoseok stiffens up before bowing his head "Yes ma'am." He whispers before walking back to the door and closing it, only to knock and wait for a response. "That's what I thought." I mutter as I let him in.
