Regarding the self aware AU ask that mentioned there are some characters who feel too normal made me remember certain things about some character. And you’re right, not all characters would be extreme but I also don’t think that makes all of them quite tame either.

For example, Trickstar in the main story of ! era were known to be extremely overbearing in wanting to protect Producer. Hokuto especially, thinking it was his job to watch after her got viably paranoid to some level when they weren’t around (doesn’t help she was kidnapped by the twins once). And since Subaru was tasked to spend a whole week with producer as his training, he also managed to become somewhat clingy in this timeframe. They aren’t necessarily harmful (unless you count for the Subaru brought a metal bat when going went to talk to Kuro or constantly make jokes about blowing the stuff up) but TS was fairly intense on keeping the producer by their side becoming stressed when she wasn’t around. Makoto & Mao also had some strange quirks but Hokuto was commented on a lot of having stress around producer that seemed to become more intense the longer the main story continued. I’m sure if you were to be projected into their world or in general via playing, TS would become just as clingy and worried about you.

Similarly, Adonis, yes, isn’t a violent person. He isn’t going to go out of his way to hurt someone or anything, even to the point I don’t think he’d ever kidnap you but you will find yourself with a huge, clingy, protective Adonis. He is known for becoming intense with the idea of protecting others to the point it can come off as forceful, easily jumping to conclusions in varies situations, and willing to put himself in danger for the sake of protecting others. Adonis wouldn’t be like a traditional Yandere or even unhinged, but I do think he has a place as a self sacrificing and overprotective one who would deeply care about your safety in this ES world even more if you are similar to him and don’t know Japanese/the familiar with the nuances of the culture. And if we’re sticking to the idea of digital Adonis best be aware his fear of not being there to protect you likely would double through the screen since he can’t actually be there to make all your troubles go away.

Anyway, sorry Daze for the ramble, but I agree with what you said in answer! To some level there would likely be safer options but to another most would just be different rather than ‘better’ and would each come with challenges and flaws. It’s a lot of the mindset of “pick your poison carefully” as I think even the most normal of them have a hidden layer if they were pushed far enough.

OoOh thank you for this addition! Those are all really good thoughts! Yeah now that you mention it I do remember someone of Trickstar always walking home Anzu whenever it got late ( with Mao even sometimes being invited by her family to stay for dinner ldnab). And it honestly makes sense that they would all get really worried, considering that she was the first student in the producer course and how chaotic everyone at Yumenosaki truly is.

So yes, I actually do think that you´re right that they would also get clingy over the player and constantly worry about you. Hokuto is pretty normal and so he´s just constantly worrying that someone strange ( like Wataru) might come by and and take you away like the Aoi twins once did. I don´t see them going completely deranged like Izumi for example but they will be decently clingy and remind you of the fact that they were the first ones you produced for. You´ve known them longer than any of the other characters so it makes sense if you stick around them the most, right? They only want the best for you!

Adonis is also similar to that idea, I think. You explained it really well in your ask so I don´t think I have anything else to add on to that. He´s a big softie around you but he just worries about you a lot and wants you to be safe!

In the end, all you can do at Ensemble Square is to *try* to find a yandere that is more "manageable" if you aren´t able to straight-up escape anymore. There are pros and cons to all of them so choose carefully! People like Mika or Mayoi are more unhinged but you would have an easier time manipulating them to do what you want because they´re just so obsessed with pleasing you.

Meanwhile you could get a not-so-creepy protective yandere but they´re probably not as delusional so they wouldn´t always bend to your will if they think that you´re putting yourself in danger.

Ok so schrodeinger reality au, gonna be real this au has almost nothing but vibes (and heavily inspired by Madoka: Rebellion, Piecemeal episode and the Stranger entity from tma and this comic)~

So basically right after Allura saves the multiverse, she wakes up in a room, in a bed, with things that arent her own but also feel really familiar. She also wakes up to find her hair is brown rather than white, her marks are gone (whammy), and her ears are round (double whammy), and she's a human (what the qUIZNAK). Like naturally she's freaking out right until the door opens and that is her mother, or well her human mother. She doesnt look anything like Melenor, her real mother, and yet she knows that the human woman was her mother.

Allura runs out of her room and the house isnt her own but also is, she remembers drawings on the wall she did as a kid, she remembers tripping on those stairs while running as a teen, she remembers when those photos on the wall were taken few months ago. She remembers this house she is in right now, she remembers a life she never lived. Her mother asks if she's ok. Her mother has been so worried since she.....almost killed herself. A simple quick acting poison, something painless. Mom found her in time and took her to the hospital. That is what the memory tells her.

Except, no she didnt, but she did. This isnt her life and that is not mother, except it is and she is her mom. This isnt real none of this is real. Both memories feel as real as the other. Her mom asks if she is ok again. She want to push her away, she's clearly a liar. She want to hug her, she is scared and wants her mom to tell her she's going to be ok. She can just nod in reply, both her pasts feeling more like a dream than a memory. She yearns for the life that is gone in every way, she wants to reject the new life that is gifted not lived. However the sense of loss is ever present.

As far as Shiro is concerned he has lived a pretty normal decent life. Ups and downs like everyone has. He achieved his dreams of going to space and it was good while it lasted. He survived an accident that took his arm and left him with scars. Awful thing car crashes, even if he doesnt really remember it and it Certainly doesnt matter. Had few relationships, few break ups, moments of joy and sorrow in equal amounts, cant really complain. His brother was there for it all, and even if Kuro loves to annoy him that is what brothers are for. All in all rather normal life. Except, one day he had a nightmare, with furry alien colonizers and alien witches and gladiator rings and giant robot lions. Non sensical and pointless he chooses to not think about it, suppresses it everytime it threatens come up. Except they keep coming, during his days and during his nights and he buries them deep every time. And they keep getting worse every time.

Until one day, there was a ghost, ghost that looked just like him, gored and bleeding just blankly staring at him. At first he thought it was Kuro, but when Shiro yelled out for him in horror, he pops out from wherever he was and walked past through that ghost. Little horrified, he decided to suppress this too, maybe stress or maybe a prank or maybe something else completely mundane. He never looks at the ghost, refuses to acknowledge its existence. Ghost disappears and appears seemingly randomly, (everytime he suppresses a memo- thoughts about his nightmares). Ignores it, doesnt acknowledge it, suppresses it, buries it within. The more he does it, the more they present, the more they stay at the back of his mind.

But then ghosts starts to solidify. First as bloody fingers, then as bloody hands, slowly slowly. The body part stayed, always bleeding, they are not seen but they are felt. Kuro almost slips on an unseen pool of blood, complains about the floor not looking wet. Shiro buries them too, in his flowerpots and flowerbeds and in backyard six feet under and when the body fully forms.

The ghost stop appearing after that, but he still doesnt feel free, he finds himself staring at a certain spot, still feels like the smell of blood lingers. Sometimes he could almost hear a heartbeat where the body is buried. But no, this never happened! Just like all those nightmares never happened, this never happened. Acknowleding it, even as some sort of hallucination makes it real, makes everything real, so it never happened. So what if his scars dont fit for a car crash, so what if his memory is spotty. Coincidences really, followed by a stressed mind and it's overactive imagination. Kuro worries but that is what a brother is for.

And as far as Shiro is concerned, he lives a pretty normal decent life.

This was the worst condition, Doctor Jaspreet Kaur had ever seen. Granted her tenure is not that old, only been a few years since she was a doctor, but this still had to be worse. A man, a young one, maybe in 20's skinned alive. Most definately a murder attempt. A serial killer has been in the news lately and her new patient shares the same condition the killer's victims when found. No identifying features, whether it be identity proof, tags on clothes, tattoos, skin marks or face itself. This time however, by some miracle, despite everything he was still alive.

So she and the other doctors trt everything they could to save this nameless person. He would have to stay in intensive care, will go through multiple surgeries and if he lives through all of that the damages would still be lifelong. But they still have to save him. So they try, they succeed in stopping the bleeding and stabilize him. They got in touch with the police, who took the statement for the new lead, hoped he survives so they could arrest the killer but didnt seem to care about his identity. Now it is a waiting game.

Few days later as she was making her rounds, she saw the Patient, and not only was he sitting up and moving, he was actively ripping off all his bandages. Jas ran in to stop him, but then stopped.

The Patient's skin had grown back. Light brown, as dark as hers, black hair, and freckles clear visible unlike hers which were always hidden under a ton of makeup. And when Jas looked at him she realized somethings. The patient looked familiar but in a way she cant quite put a finger on. Most likely Indian descent, american accent but hint of punjabi, 5'7, a bit chubby. The patient reminded her of her sister, and her brother, and her mother, and her father, and her grandparentss, slightly like all of them but not them. She also noticed the mirror in the patient's room was cracked, right from the point where the patient's reflected head would be.

The patient then turns to her and asks her questions, who are you? what place is this? What happened to me? And Jaspreet answers the best she can, i am Dr Jaspreet, we are in the State Hospital, you were brutally attacked but you are ok now. And then Jaspreet asks her own questions, do you know who you are? Do you have someone to call? Do you know who did this to you? And the patient- he? They? she? She. She just shook her head no, no she didnt know who she was, only what she is now. No she didnt remember anyone and doubted anyone remembered her. She did not know who did this, but she will find her killer.

Jaspreet wanted to ask what she meant by that. But the Patient stood up, something she shouldnt have been able to, not with injuries or with pain meds. Too dumbfounded to even react, all she can do is watch, as the Patient thanks her, asks where the hospital keeps patients things, and then left.

The Patient was already gone when she even thought to react. But that is ok! She'll just call and ask and staff security to stop the Patient. She even has a description, it is uhhh ummm she cant remember. She cant remember how the Patient looked like. And wait- was the Patient a guy in his 20's? Or a woman in her 30's? No, no neither, maybe something in between? Doesnt matter. She called the reception, told them the Patient from the room number 3462 would be making his way to the reception, and to please stop h-sh-them? As they required further observation. And the receptionist said that that particular hasnt been assigned in days. That cant be right? It was for the patient who almost uhhh died? And needed care for-for something? She would have to check the logs later. But no, the receptionist cant remember any such patient. And Jaspreet cant remember it well either.

Days later Jaspreet would read the news that the serial killer has finally been arrested, evidence compiled by an anonymous sleuth. Now that I've finished the live action, I want to add my voice to the pile. Thoughts and spoilers below the cut! 🏴‍☠️

Overall I had so much fun with this show. I've seen plenty of live action adaptations of anime that have SEVERELY missed the mark, both with production value and in matching the spirit of the original.

I think OPLA tried really hard to stay true to the spirit of One Piece. The themes of following your dreams, not letting others tell you what you can achieve, and of found family being the most important thing, are all strongly emphasized.

Yes, the costuming, sets, and action are all cheesy as hell! Kuro's speed looks goofy, and personally I can't take the fishmen seriously. But, like, hasn't One Piece always been kind of ridiculous? I'm gesturing vaguely at the entirety of Luffy's most recent anime power-up! If it makes me laugh fondly, then I think it's One Piece.

And of course the best part is the interactions between the main Strawhat crew. Every time a new person joined the crew I squealed because it's THEM they're THERE and they're laughing with each other, they're taking care of each other. Every little moment that I recognized from the manga/anime had me grinning like a moron. (Woof ZoLu shippers really got fed well! That scene when Zoro recovers had me like 👀) Any scene where they were hugging each other or anything made me so happy. Poor Sanji got left out of the group hug at Arlong Park 😭

And THEY LET BUGGY CURSE. HE CURSES SO MUCH. AND HE'S SUCH A BIGGER PART OF EAST BLUE AND HONESTLY? I'M HERE FOR IT.

I do think the cast individually could have been stronger. Zoro was SO stoic, he DID have his dry quips and moments of levity but he was acting more like post-timeskip Zoro imo. I liked how they changed Sanji's flirting but his story felt rushed. I didn't feel like he really cared for any of the other chefs at the Baratie, and his parting with Zeff wasn't as impactful as I think it could've been. Luffy actually doubts himself a lot in the middle?? Which was so bizarre, maybe they're trying to make him more human, but, like... Don't? Luffy is a force of nature, it was weird to see him be anything but confident in what he's doing. Maybe they just needed more time to showcase them. These 8 episodes go by FAST.

I think the changes made to the story itself were fine. It felt more like they were setting up elements for a show and connecting things that you wouldn't necessarily have seen in the anime (Koby and Helmeppo getting trained for example, or Zoro fighting Mr. 7 and getting invited to join Baroque Works).

At the end of the day this is an AU. I can separate this from the manga/anime while still appreciating what it's doing. I'm going to feel REALLY relieved when we go back to watching the anime this weekend, because it'll feel like coming home, because it's so familiar and comforting. But this was a fun new adventure! I hope we get more from this crew. :)

AAAaaaa a Criminal Girls question!!!! ;A; Thank youuuu!! I haven't written about those girls in a while, but I promise I am still VERY MUCH obsessed with them isugs

As for powers— yep, I was intending to give everyone some unique abilities, if I remember right. I'll list some ideas/things I recall from the fic here. They'll be based on the girls' abilities/skills in the game (as well as taking into account what kinds of powers the boys use in canon), since that makes the most sense to me. XD

Shinoa

Hypnotism. It's mainly used for forcing her prey into unconsciousness, but other applications include paralyzing their bodies and slowing down their thoughts.

Since she's a poison user in the game, I think it'd be fitting if she has some kind of (likely highly painful) venom in her bite. It's not used all the time, but as a little extra bonus if she wants to be especially mean to her victims.

Lily

I'm... not too sure about her. Her main ability in the game is electricity, so probably something of that sort. Small-scale shocks seem appropriate, though— good for training.

I recall a scene where Laito could mess with electricity/phone lines too, so yep, same for Lily. She can manipulate electronics to some degree; usually things like shutting down a victim's means of calling for help, or suddenly taking away light.

Yurine

Aphrodisiac saliva or something, definitely. The perfect way to make her prey so dizzy with lust that they can't even think of resisting her! And she likes the attention.

Fire abilities (like Kanato's) fit her in-game skills. She probably doesn't use them very often, though, not liking the mess they can cause. Beyond that, her strength is downright impressive, even by vampire standards.

Mizuki

I don't think she'd have any particularly unique abilities. She's the youngest of the group, for one... and definitely more of the type to rely on her superior physical capabilities.

That means Mizuki is the brute-force type. She's stronger and faster than humans, and that's more than enough to get what she wants from them. ...however, I could also see her having some kind of lie-detection ability.

Kuroe

As you said, Kuroe can puppet people and objects. She mostly uses it with her stuffed donkey, Baron, but the power ends up turned on her prey when she's particularly upset.

Ice magic is her specialty— she can lower temperatures and freeze things over, her body is downright frigid, and the general area around her always seems colder than it should be. The chill gets out of control when she's distressed, though.

Tsukasa

Definitely the resident potion menace. While she doesn't seem the type at all, Tsukasa is the one who has all kinds of nasty concoctions at her disposal. Especially aphrodisiacs.

She's also quite knowledgeable in medical matters, in general... which mostly means piecing her prey back together after she's gone a little too far. This goes as far as healing magic— all the better to keep her toys alive!

Sui

Magic of all kinds. She's definitely the most proficient in the subject of the group of them, which means her abilities would be pretty varied and adaptable.

Her body is the weakest of them, so she's also relying on that magic quite a bit. I think she'd also have a fondness for summons and familiars, as they can compensate for her physical weaknesses more easily than exerting herself would be.

Heyya! It's been like... Centuries since the last time I posted Kuro art related in this blog. Work, artblocks, my IG, & other things has been keeping me very busy😔😔 But hey, I actually draw quite a lot for this one, & I hope y'all like it😌

In case y'all didn't know, a year ago I made a Species Meme just like this for my wolfdog OC & posted it to my IG.

But Then, 2-3 months ago, I got an idea about making a Species Meme for Sebastian since he can transforms into any kinds of creature, & I also always wanna draw him as animals! So, this art meme is very perfect for me :D

For this Demon!Ciel's concept art, I choose to not to make Ciel wear his garters like he usually do. & I also make him wear bow/lace-less boots, y'know- kinda like horse riding boots. I just can't help but feeling kinda uncomfy imagining him fighting with bows/laces & garters lol, I have a feeling they're going to slows him down😅

Demon!Ciel also rarely use his eye patch anymore. He only wears it when he have to interact with humans.

so basically in prisma illya for the first couple of seasons before the mangaka realized that the miyuverse was way cooler of a setting, illya had a trio of friends that she also hung out with besides kuro and miyu. one of them is this girl:

who is basically the shy type.

anyways, because prisma illya is terrible for the most part - commonly there's scenes of kuro and illya making out for 'mana transfer' purposes, as well as some times where illya is like very weirdly sexual to miyu.

(reminder that in this world illya is 100% an elementary schooler, not 18 like in fate stay night)

so this friend (mimi katsura) ends up seeing the illya-kuro-miyu dynamic and is unable to process her girl friends kissing (as well as kuro having kissed her without her consent previously) because well she is a child so instead, how she decides to process this is by making an AU of her real life friends where illya kuro and miyu are actually all guys and are in love

tl;dr she makes a BL au of her friends

which is where the male illya comes from

but wait there's more lol

so obviously mimi feels bad for all of this but unfortunately confides in the worst friend to do so - suzuka kurihara - who acts as the older sister, 'saner' type of the friend group. she is acutely familiar with BL, since her sister is a doujinshi artist:

and so this ends up getting even worse because her sister comes back and explains that her doujin that she was going to sell at comiket was destroyed and so she needs to come up with something. suzuka, remembering mimi's au, asks for her permission to take the BL AU Of Their Real Friends and change it around a bit - and then sell it at comiket

so they do that

after all this mimi is feeling pretty bad about all of this, so she goes to illya and tries to explain, but illya doesn't understand any of the BL lingo and mimi leaves completely embarrassed. suzuka decides to try and patch things up by having the trio (illya/miyu/kuro) hide in the closet at her place and invite mimi over while suzuka and mimi talk about their shared interest in BL so the trio can hear.

after hearing how passionate mimi is about BL they come out and explain that they're cool with it! which is great! we love supporting our friends and their interests!

.... except for when mimi explains that she isn't into heterosexual ships. then everyone but miyu leaves. great job guys.

anyways that's basically the arc. sometimes there's nods to mimi being a fujoshi later on but since the main story has focused more on the miyuverse we haven't seen much of mimi recently but there's a couple little more things:

mimi starts shipping illya-verse shirou/issei. the mangaka actually jokes about shirou/issei a lot and there's a couple of scenes where it's like 'mimi's idea of what's happening'

A Sekiro au idea

So I've been delving back into my Sekiro hype fixation whilst playing Okami on my switch (my tv broke so I cant play Sekiro on my ps4) and i had a thought. In both games wolfs and divinity play a large part of the story (in Sekiro the main character is called wolf and in Okami the main character is a Devine wolf).

So i had a idea of a Okami X Sekiro au.

Where Sekiro/Wolf encounters/ makes a deal for more power to help his lord, with a person who is secretly a Rouge god (maybe the god is one of the old gods that fled from Ashina) the god gives Wolf a seed to eat saying it would either kill him or make him stronger. It does both.

When Wolf next awakens, he feels strange ,as though something great had changed but he could not tell, however when he opens his eyes he appears not to be alone, as there are now two large wolves patiently waiting beside him. One of pure white and mist with black markings on his right, and one of pure black and shadow with white markings on his left.

- Sekiro is now a minor god of shadows, mist and wolves and now has black and white marking on his body and face ( white on his left, black on his right) however only some people can see them (they look similar to Amaterasu ‘s from okami).

- The two wolves represent the two blades, and the different endings.

- the white wolf is kinder than the black wolf, but the black wolf is more protective, both love Sekiro/Wolf and Kuro, often visiting the Devine heir when not helping their master. They sometimes visit Isshin and the Devine child too. They hate Owl and like to play tricks on Genichiro.

- the seed was supposed to have make Wolf the Rouge gods familiar. But since it failed, Wolf became a god instead, because of the immortality Kuro gave him brought him back with the Devine powers the seed would have given him, but no attachments to the Rouge god.

- Story plays similar but now Wolf has two new friends and is trying to figure out how to be a god

Summary: Each person has a secret they hide from others, even from their family. Kuro is a spy and his latest mission is to prevent a brewing war between Westalis and Ostania. He never expected his mission would require him to start a family. Without knowing, he marries an assassin and adopts a telepath. (KuroMahi, Spy X Family AU)

Kuro stood in front of a display of colourful flowers and he wondered which would be best to give to April. He didn’t want the flowers to be too romantic or else it would give her hope that they could rekindle their relationship. He only intended to send her the gift as a customary gesture. They dated for a few months but he was careful not to become attached to their relationship. From the start, he never had any hope that they would fall in love.

“Excuse me, would you like some help?” The brunette vendor asked and he gave him a polite smile. Kuro read the nametag on the man’s apron, Mahiru Shirota. The name Shirota was vaguely familiar but he couldn’t place where he saw it before. “Are you buying a gift for someone? I can help you make a bouquet. Do you know what kind of flowers the person likes or their favourite colour?”

“I’m just buying flowers for my home so the bouquet doesn’t need anything special.” Kuro lied. He doubted he would meet Mahiru again but he didn’t want to tell others about his relationship with April. The more people who knew about his current persona and relation, there was a chance someone would question him about it in the future.

While his gaze was on the display, he was acutely aware of his surroundings. The sound of coins clinking together caught his attention and he subtly glanced towards the sound. A boy was selling newspapers a few feet from him and others wouldn’t find him suspicious. Kuro immediately knew the boy wasn’t an ordinary child from how he jingled the coin in his tin cup. The pattern of the sound was morse code.

“Can you make one with lilies and send it to this address? Sign it from Matthew.” He bought a random bouquet of flowers and the vendor handed him change in return. Kuro crossed the street to where the boy was selling newspapers. He dropped the coin into his cup and he started to walk away without a word. The boy stopped him by holding the newspaper in front of him. Kuro said, “I don’t need one, Kid. I just wanted to be charitable. Take the money and buy a snack.”

“Mama said I can’t take money from people when I’m doing honest work. This is to help pay for my rabbit’s medicine. The vet said that the medicine will make him feel better.” The boy said and he held up the newspaper again. Kuro nodded and he took the bundle from him. He shifted the flowers and newspaper into one arm so he could pull out a coin from his pocket.

“It’s good that you’re responsible but you should enjoy being a kid when you can. I’ll buy your newspaper and this is a tip for being such a responsible kid.” Kuro dropped the coin into the cup and then he patted the boy’s head.

He turned away from him and he walked down the streets to a coffee shop where he could read the newspaper. Kuro wanted to procrastinate giving the flowers to April as much as he could. He chose a table next to the door so he would be able to slip away quickly if he needed to. He opened the newspaper and he thought to himself: So, there are spies this young now. I guess I was only a few years older than him when I became a spy and joined Servamp.

Kuro had been a spy for years and gained a reputation for his skill to steal information and disguise himself. The reason he briefly dated April was so he could gain documents from her father who was a politician. He stored the information he found in the coin and then he gave it to the child. After his mission was complete, he waited a few days to break up with her under the guise that he was moving away. He also bought flowers to send her so she wouldn’t be suspicious of him.

From the morse code, he knew that they had another mission for him. He wished he could take a break but that was nearly impossible with the cold war between Westalis and Ostania had led to several plots that threatened the fragile peace between the countries. The Servamps didn’t have an alliance with either of the countries and their only goal was to maintain their peace treaty.

He flipped through the newspaper and he deciphered the message scattered throughout the comic section. Kuro searched for panels with a rabbit drawn on them. He read, I trust that you have completed your mission successfully, Sleepy Ash. We have another assignment for you and it’s of the most importance. Our sources tell us that the chairman of the Conjurer Control Convention may be planning to sell weapons to Ostania and fuel a new war. You must become close to him and find proof of this allegation.

Kuro’s eyes narrowed as he stared at the picture of the chairman, Misono Alicein. He didn’t care for politics but his job required him to learn far more about it than he preferred. The Alicein family was infamous under Mikado who used the previous war to secure land for his business. However, the business was handed to his son after Mikado’s death.

Misono was much more private than his father so not much was known about the man and his family. It became more difficult to gain information on Misono after he married and had a child. He would rarely attend social events and he had a small circle of friends. Kuro didn’t know how Servamp intended for him to befriend Misono and collect information about the Alicein.

Luckily, we have time before the exchange will occur because C3 has been very careful and silent with this plan. We believe the deal will be finalized within three years but each day counts. You must infiltrate the Alicein household and befriend the family. Kuro assumed they would order him to become an employee within the Alicein manor or their organization.

The last thing he expected to read was: You are to find a wife and child within three days.

“The hell?” Kuro yelled and several people turned to him. He quickly regained his composure so he wouldn’t draw more attention to himself. The sentence was so outlandish to him that he read it several times to confirm that it was correct. Unfortunately, they remained the same.

He continued reading the debrief. The only weakness and connection to the outside world that Misono has is his son. His son attends Eden Academy and they hold regular events for families. That will be your opportunity to befriend the Alicein family and search for evidence of their plan. Start a family and enroll your child into Eden Academy.

“Troublesome.” Kuro groaned. He wanted to refuse the mission and give it to someone who was more qualified. However, he knew that the Servamps only had a few spies with their own mission. He folded the newspaper and stood without knowing how he could succeed in such a mission.

Kuro hated orphanages and the memories they bought back. The war had ended a decade ago yet the scars still lingered in both countries. Many were left without a family due to the war. He reminded himself that he needed to focus on his mission rather than his past. He greeted an old man who answered the door. “Hello, I would like to adopt a child.”

He assumed that the old man was the owner of the orphanage and he masked his true feelings beneath a disinterested expression. The owner gestured for him to enter and Kuro followed him through the halls. The paint on the wall was chipped and the children’s clothes appeared old. For his mission, it would be easiest to adopt a child from a shadier establishment.

“You can take anyone you want.” The man said. Kuro wished that it was possible for him to complete the mission alone but it was unavoidable. Kuro didn’t know if the orphanage provided any education to the children but he thought he should ask. Eden Academy was a prestigious private school and it was difficult to be accepted.

“If it’s possible, I would prefer to adopt a child who can read and write.” Kuro asked. It would be better if I don’t need to teach the child how to write. Misono’s child is six years old so I should find a child around the same age. It’s easier for them to be friends if they’re in the same class. I’m a spy and I can’t question the missions given to me but this one is troublesome.

“Machi is six years old and knows how to write!” A young girl jumped into their path. He was surprised by her outburst because the other children had only watched him so far. The child was a brunette and he worried that people would question whether they were related. As soon as he had the thought, she added: “I even know math! You can test me and I’ll pass.”

“Can you tell me what three plus five is?” He asked her a simple question and she quickly answered him without any hesitation. Hope filled her brown eyes each time he told her that answered correctly. Kuro understood the complicated emotions that must’ve fueled that hope he saw all too well. He found himself being sympathetic despite himself. He smiled and said, “You’re one smart girl. Soon, you’ll be able to tell me the square root of 144.”

After a moment, Machi exclaimed: “Twelve! Is that correct? Machi answered all of your questions and she can be adopted now?”

“All of your answers were correct.” His words made her face beam with excitement and relief. Machi jumped forward and she hugged his leg. At first, he didn’t know what to do and he gently patted her head. Kuro thought that it was a miracle he found a child who seemed to be intelligent and well behaved. He could complete his mission with her unknowing help.

He briefly spoke with the orphanage’s owner and he filled out the paperwork to formalize the adoption. While he told her to pack, she remained by his side and she didn’t leave. He assumed she didn’t have anything to take with her. Machi gripped his pants in her tiny hand, as if she were afraid that he would leave without her. She watched him hand the paperwork to the man. “All done?”

“Yeah. From today onward, you’re Machi Sloth.”

“Machi Sloth!” She repeated with a proud smile.

He led her outside to where his car was parked. Machi skipped ahead of him and she stopped next to his car. She didn’t wait for him to open the door for her and she jumped to reach the handle. The door was locked and she could only hang in place. He chuckled at her childishness and then he unlocked the door for her. “It’s safer for you to sit in the back.”

“Next to you.” She barely finished answering him before she climbed into the passenger seat. He helped her put on her seatbelt before he walked around the car. As Kuro sat in the driver’s seat, he saw that Machi had taken off her seatbelt and she stood on her chair to reach the dashboard. She turned the dial to skim through the different radio stations. “Machi will find secret police radio conversation like in the television!”

“This is a regular radio so you can’t listen to policemen with it. You need to sit down and put on your seatbelt, Machi.” He told her. He was glad that she didn’t argue with him and she sat down properly. Kuro didn’t know where she learned people intercept police radio signals and listen to their conversations. Then again, she was clearly an intelligent child. He only hoped her curious nature wouldn’t make her question him too much and learn that he was a spy.

Kuro pulled out of the parking spot and he drove down the road to the apartment that his boss provided him. “Machi, we’re a family now but you should tell people that we’ve always been a family. You should also address me as your father. Do you understand?”

“Machi will tell everyone that you’re my Papa.” She said. He nodded and decided not to correct her when she called him ‘Papa’. While the Eden Academy would prefer their students to be much more traditional, the endearing title would make them a more convincing family. “Machi is really happy that Papa was the one who adopted me.”

My papa is a super cool superhero spy! Machi thought to herself. She needed to contain her excitement or else he would learn that she could read his mind. If Machi helps Papa with his secret mission, I will also be a cool superhero and they’ll give me a medal of world peace!

“How did Papa know Spy Wars was Machi’s favourite show? Can you also rea—” Machi quickly stopped herself before she could ask him if he could read minds like her. She sat down on the couch and she returned to watching the cartoon. “You can rescue the princess like Agent Saizo! Agent Saizo has a cool gun with a silencer. Can Machi have one too for her secret superhero missions?”

“Maybe if we can find one on sale. I’m going to the market and pick up a few things. Stay here and watch your spy show. In the event that anything happens, use the phone to call me. I wrote down my number on the notebook next to the phone.” Kuro said and he pulled his hood over his head. The moment they entered the apartment, he turned on the television to distract her. He needed to buy a few things and he thought she was old enough to stay home for an hour.

“Papa can’t go! Superhero missions are dangerous alone. Wanna go too.” Machi quickly forgot the television and she caught the tails of his jacket. He knew that children could be imaginative but he didn’t expect for her to be so invested in a spy show.

“Alright, you can join me but this isn’t a spy mission.” Kuro didn’t want to argue with her. He expected her to let go of his jacket but she only moved to stand on his feet. She was so small that she could easily balance on Kuro’s feet.

She grinned up at him and ordered: “Give Machi a ride?”

“I can’t really walk when you’re hugging me like this. Can’t deal.” He pointed out but she didn’t move. Kuro bent down and he carefully lifted her into his arms. He carried her down the hall and decided the mission was much more difficult than he first imagined. Though, in the end, the most important part of his mission was to keep Machi safe and unaware of his secret.

magical girl au in my brain…. the first time hiiro and aira meet, its entirely by coincidence, though perhaps its fate’s design— a witch descends upon the mall complex aira’s in, pulling a good amount of people into its labyrinth, and right as aira’s about to die to one of the witch’s familiars, hiiro swoops in and dices it to pieces

hes only there to find rinne and for no other reason. expecting his brother to show up soon, rather than defeat the witch itself, hiiro simply protects the witch’s victims, hinging on rinne to show up and save the day and then hiiai kiss or something i didnt get far

[1]snkdbf to hiiro’s surprise, rinne does not show up to aira’s, neither do any magical girls its been a couple of days, and hiiro’s very visibly pushed to his psychological limit with keeping the humans he could find from killing each other (or themselves). in this time, he and aira talk — aira learns of hiiro’s desire to “destroy all magical girls” and hiiro learns of aira’s love for magical girls. they obviously start off on the wrong feet but fighting for your life will very quickly acquaint you with your allies so they cope, with aira placating the other people he’s with and hiiro handling matters of protection and resource allocation (they need to Eat and Drink Water after all </3)

except in all this time, the witch has only become stronger and stronger. hiiro’s back-up plan for escape falls through when he can no longer find an appropriate ‘exit’ to the labyrinth, and the witch’s familiars are only becoming stronger, smarter, and more cunning, and the psychological influence of the witch unnerves the victims hiiro is protecting, though aira is immune due to the latent well of magic within him. on top of all this, after cutting down a familiar that nearly does another human in, hiiro’s subjected to his hubris in the form of corruption rendering him immobile from an internal magic tug-of-war, trying to keep himself from becoming a monstrosity with the belief that he could be a danger to the rest of them, hiiro opts to kamikaze it and kill the witch with the resulting explosion when he turns, except aira offers to form a contract with him and then hiiai kiss again or something eccentric party night suddenly popped in my head

their transformation sequence should involve kissing /j specifically because of this au i started watching futari wa precure research purposes bdjdbfjf after defeating the witch, they learn the reason why neither rinne nor any magical girls showed up, and its because rinne fought off every magical girl from interfering, hoping to pressure hiiro into thinking of the victims’ sakes first before rinne’s didn’t work of course but hiiro and aira forming a contract is Also a satisfactory conclusion to his gamble, and thus rinne allows himself to be arrested and taken away by the Magical Girl Police (akatsuki?) before hiiai can get their bearings post-witch-defeat
