Some drabbles below. Anyway, I am trying some style and colour testing. I put baby Hakuji and Tanjirou in cool and calming color while Akaza in a bright flashing colour to bring out the contrast in it.

I tried making Tanjirou looking soft and reminiscing memories of the past,

While having Akaza staring in perplexed with his all sensory going haywire because of the painful memory that Tanjirou reminds him of that he can't even remember; so hence frustration and confusing resulting to being alarmed and angry.

Based on the manga panel;

It's the way Tanjirou expression that gets me. He looks at Akaza in a pitiful, sympathetic gaze that is not in an insulting nor looking down on way. It's more like Tanjirou thinks;

" What happened to you? "

Tanjirou recognizes the belief Akaza has rooted from something, an event happening in his human life. In some way, I think Tanjirou has an idea perhaps of why Akaza has such belief, despite the disagreement he has for it.

Even if he has hatred for Akaza, he wonders how could such villain starts as a small pure baby. What happened? What happened to make Akaza turning out like this?

Tanjirou is mostly a forgiving person but when it comes to Akaza, I don't think he will ever forgive nor forget what the demon has done. But remember that Tanjirou is understanding, sympathetic and empathetic.

He doesn't know what happened but he always wants to understand the demons he fought because he knows that they were once humans too. That they had humanity at one point. The real villain here is Muzan and Tanjirou reminds himself of that often. He would never blame the other demons, holding onto the hope and possibility that not every demons wanted to become what they are.

I think the time spent before Tanjirou can meet Akaza again allows the boy to learns more of his enemies. He's met Gyutaro and Daki (Ume), he's met Hantengu...time has allow his heart to slowly toughen and soften, to ignore the seek for revenge in the beginning.

And when Tanjirou meets Akaza again, the hatred comes but so does the pity and sympathy. With bits of sprinkle a question,

" What happened to you? "

Dating Kyojuro Rengoku headcanons

cuddling is a given. as a hashira, he's constantly out on dangerous missions so he's extra clingy when he's home with you. cuddling or having you next to him was a given when you're together

do NOT go with this man on festival dates you will lose him. he's too fast and very indecisive because he wants to do and get a little bit of everything. the next time you go together, he holds your hand, but was still hard to keep up with. "(y/n) they're selling sweet potatoes that way!" "okay wait slow do-" "nevermind look at those fish! do you think we can eat them for dinner?" "what the fuck."

i hc that he doesn't call you pet names. he likes to keep things simple and call you by your first name because why would he? he loves hearing and saying your name already!

was awkward like really awkward in the first few weeks of your relationship. now that you're dating, he can kiss or touch you whenever he wants. but he still doesn't know how to initiate it so sometimes he kinda just stares at you. with that smile. you were a tad bit scared for your life. "…did i do something wrong or…" "I WOULD LIKE US TO KISS! RIGHT NOW!"

so yeah to save him the embarrassment you were the one initiating kisses before he started getting real comfortable. and boy did he get real comfortable

speaking of him being embarrassing this man is EMBARRASSINGGG expect nothing less from someone who would shout "yummy!" every bite they'd take of a meal. his regular speaking voice is loud already so whenever you're out and he's professing his love, literally everyone near you can and will hear. you've had your fair share of old people giggling and going "oh my!"

doesn't get jealous or malicious or NOTHIN he's so secure in his relationship. if you argue with him and insult him in the heat of the moment he straight up just goes "you don't mean that! :D" and you're just in disbelief cuz like he's right and hurrrsadjkkfh

he's dealt with one too many scoldings in his life from his father. he'll let you lash out on him for a bit, but he's happy that you two are close enough that he knows he can speak up if you go too far when you're upset at him.

such a safe space, and such a loving and thoughtful boyfriend. tonight you'll make him his favorite meal. his newest mission has something to do with a train, and it's more dangerous than his usual operations. but you'll be ready with freshly made dinner, awaiting his loud greeting and warm cuddles.

When you have cramps he freaks out and thinks your going to die, and he faints

Zenitsu got help from Shinobu and she helps you feel better

When the cycle of the month is gone, he'll try to learn how to help you next time this happens next month from Shinobu

Ok yk how his childhood was basically stripped from him at 13 and so he started acting all stoic and impassive since then?? So I feel like, with a S/O, once he feels he can trust them or just gets more comfortable, he'll act more childish.

Since he was unable to when he was younger, he'll act like that, like with a childish innocence and trust? To show that he's basically laying his life in their hands; they own his life too. Same for just being a lot more open and talkative

Like he'll have a complete character change and will probably startle whoever his s/o is-

Idk how but I just incorporated this into my writing unconsciously like i didn't even realize I was making him act like a fucking child until I was editing one of my oneshots 😭

I like to imagine that in another universe, where rengoku is real, and me and him meet, I'm able to put my desire to cook and bake to good use, and just cook giant meals for rengoku.

Meals that sometimes don't match but taste really good.

Desserts that don't look right but taste pretty good because I'm still learning this new recipe.

And he just eats them all.

I like to think that he eats them and gives back genuine advice, no judgment, no lies, just straight up good feedback on what I could do.

And then if there's leftovers, he takes them with him on his missions.

This one is a 'What-if' where Kuina is the one attending the Final Selection with Kiriya instead of Kanata. This should have a second part where Kuina slaps Genya cause she's known as the 'Slap Princess' (slay.)

Rests his chin onto your head occasionally

Gyomei would apologize if necessary and let you off calmly

Obanai remains silent, but it’s no secret that he’s flustered.

He looks away bashfully and squeezes his eyes shut, trying to avoid eye contact with you since it’s too embarrassing for him

He sighs heavily, trying to maintain his composure with you literally seated on his lap

His face is tinted a bright red, not even his bandaged mouth can hide the heavy blush dusting his cheeks

When you look over, you can literally see Kaburamaru giving Obanai a “you’re a fucking pussy” type stare

I guess that causes him to finally look at you and make eye contact

When he does gain some sort of confidence, he rests his hands onto your shoulders, and eventually wraps his arms around your torso, pulling you closer

He pulls you a little too close- putting you chest to chest with him, and his arms locked around you tightly and squeezing you

If you point out the fact that he’s hugging you too tight, he’ll get embarrassed and quietly apologize, before loosening his grip around you
