Part 7: The Walker Family

Sometimes I get it into my head that it's a good idea to do something like draw every single Criminal Minds main character on a single piece of A5 paper - all of these faces are only a couple of centimetres tall! Some of the likenesses are better than others, but on the whole I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

When I had the idea, I decided it would be fun to riff on the mugshots in the opening sequence, plus greyscale-and-red is always a favourite colour scheme of mine.

I drew this one to sell as a print on my convention stall, and it's also available in my online shop - check out my blog for a link!

Random Ninjago thoughts with JJ (Part 1)

You know... I've been thinking about how most people hc the Ninjas as teens when they were first found by Wu and I am now just realizing that most of the earlier villains (Like pilots-season 2) in Ninjago got their asses kicked by angsty teenagers... Like the man himself, Lord Garmdon got his ass beat BY FUCKING CHILDREN, the overlord, (ACTUAL EMBODIMENT OF EVIL) got his ass kicked by a teenager (who was aged up mind you so in his mind he was technically like 8 or 9) with fucking daddy issues. like the number of villains that I could name that got their asses defeated by actual children is fucking insane. (If ya'll want a list let me know and I will gladly make one) But anyway, that ends (one of) my Ninjago rants if ya'll wanna keep following my ninjago thoughts the tag is #jj's ninjago thoughts/rants

Once in awhile I come on and post art of ocs and canon characters then proceed to disappear for like a couple weeks. Anyways, at the top is Agent J’s issue with being the robocop of the universe bc his suit became part of him and keeps him alive against his will at times.

Au where Walker keeps his memories of his past after dying and continues to raise his kids as a begrudging skeleton dad. And here’s a family tree I built with my friend, @amityparkhalfa.

We had two things in mind, one: Walker is his middle name instead of last name bc it be too confusing to refer to everyone that way and two: I loved the idea his dad named his sons after an old west outlaw, Jesse James, and their daughter after a famous movie actress, Julie London.

Also yes, I hc Danny and Jasmine’s names being connected to them making them their godparents bc I wanted more family friends for them that will protect them and shit on Vlad some more.

Anyways, wanna know more about these people I’ll reblog with links to other stuff relative to them in the tags soon.

When I was first starting out with writing I was told to be wary of putting my characters through too much trauma, danger, etc. because it's not believable. It's not realistic to see one character go through various types of trauma over and over again. And I took that advice real seriously for a while...

Until I saw Spencer Reid in Criminal Minds because that bitch be going through it regularly. Like, I know the whole team has their fair share of hell, but I have never seen a character more accurately fit the Damsel-in-Distress archetype so perfectly. Damn.
