Lucy in Beverly Hills
Part 2 ~ The Episodes
Tumblr media
'Thank God I'm doing "Lucy" and thanks for "The Beverly Hillbillies", "Dick Van Dyke", and the rest.' ~ Lucille Ball, November 4, 1963
~ Parallel Universes ~
Tumblr media
Sometimes hillbillies turned up on Lucycoms - just not necessarily Beverly Hillbillies. Lucille Ball often blacked out her teeth and deepened her voice to play backwoods type characters.
Tumblr media
In "Lucy and Tennessee Ernie Ford" Homer (Ernie Ford) and his family walk into a palatial penthouse and “The Lucy Show” suddenly feels very much like an episode of “The Beverly Hillbillies”.  It is very likely that “The Lucy Show” cast Roy Roberts as the much-anticipated Mr. Cheever after seeing him play banker Mr. Cushing on "The Beverly Hillbillies". Robert Easton (who plays Iffie on "The Lucy Show") appeared in both the TV series and the 1993 film adaptation of “The Beverly Hillbillies.”
Tumblr media
"Turkey Day" (S2;E4) presents what appears to be stereotypical Native American characters (aka "Indians") who are really just actors on a gig. On "Hillbillies" the faux 'Indians' are played by Benny Rubin and George Suwaya, two performers who were also seen on "I Love Lucy." Lucy's "The Indian Show" (1953) featured Ray Kellogg and Frank Gerstle as the pair. in both cases, the 'white' characters (Mrs. Drysdale / Lucy Ricardo) indulge in broken English and use now-offensive terms in a humorous context.
Tumblr media
"Pygmalion and Elly" (S1;E10) riffs on the George Bernard Shaw play Pygmalion (filmed in 1938), which was the basis for the 1956 musical My Fair Lady (filmed in 1964). Both play and musical deal with the transformation of a lowly woman into the epitome of beauty and class. In 1962 Sonny Drysdale sets to remake Elly from a hillbilly into a woman of society. In 1972, Lucy transformed wallflower Annie Whipple (Ruth Buzzi) into a brazen showgirl on "Here's Lucy." This was Ball's second take on the story, having previously produced "My Fair Lucy" (1965) on "The Lucy Show."
Tumblr media
In 1964, the Hillbillies went on location to Marineland of the Pacific. But they weren't the only only ones. A year later, "The Lucy Show" also shot on location at the marine park, kicking off the show's 'move' to California. CBS had previously shoots at Marineland for “The Munsters”. Coincidentally, Sid Gould, Gary Morton's cousin and a bit player in 45 episodes of “The Lucy Show,” played the Munsters' Marineland tour guide.
Tumblr media
"Dog Days" (S6;E27) trots out most all of Frank Inn's canine cast - and then some. Dozens of dogs were also involved in "Lucy and Viv Learn Judo" (1963). Prominent among Elly's pooches is Lord Nelson, the sheep dog who played Mr. Mooney's pet on "The Lucy Show."
Tumblr media
1963's "The Clampetts in Court" (S1;E32) finds the family being sued by the Johnsons (Murvyn Vye & Kathleen Freeman) who claim to have been injured in an auto accident caused by Jed. They are faking, of course. In addition to Vye and Freeman, the episode features "Lucy" regulars Roy Roberts and Bert Stevens. Similarly, in a 1972 episode of "Here's Lucy," the Carters find themselves in court when a dancer and his unscrupulous agent (Jim Bates & Jesse White) claim injuries from Lucy's negligence - until Lucy and Harry spy him dancing up a storm with an undercover Kim.
Tumblr media
Elly Mae's affection for her 'critters' is not unlike Wayne Newton's on "The Lucy Show" and "Here's Lucy". In both episodes that the singer appears in (as himself), he is surrounded by a variety of barnyard animals. Lucy and Donna Douglas ignored the old show-business axiom: "Never work with children or animals."
Tumblr media
"Jed and the Countess" (S3;E26) introduced Jean Willes as the Countess Maria. While she made only one appearance, Countess Henri Gaston Armand Jean-Louis Philippe Framboise Le Cul-de-Sac  (aka Rosie Hannigan) played by Ann Sothern made seven appearances on "The Lucy Show" in 1965. Burt Mustin played Countess Maria's chauffeur. Mustin played Old Uncle Joe on two episodes of "The Lucy Show." Countess Framboise flirted with Mr. Mooney the same way Countess Maria flirted with Jed. Willes was seen in two films with Lucille Ball as well as an episode of "Here's Lucy."
Tumblr media
The Commerce Bank of Beverly Hills and The Westland Bank were the banks featured (respectively) on "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "The Lucy Show."
Tumblr media
When "Elly Becomes a Secretary" (S1;E35), Millburn Drysdale is guest speaker at the National Bankers Convention. Two years later, in 1964, Vinnie Meyers (Max Showalter) takes over for Mr. Mooney while he is away at a banker's convention in Bridgeport on "The Lucy Show." Meyers is said to be from the Jamestown (NY) branch of Mr. Mooney's bank.
Tumblr media
In a 1967 episode of "Here's Lucy," Mrs. Carmichael is volunteered as a date for the 90 year-old president of the bank (Dennis Day) so he can attend the Annual Bankers Banquet. Naturally, she disguises herself as a little old lady and finds that although he is old, he is still very interested in the opposite sex!
Tumblr media
"The Clampetts Play the Rams" (S4;E7) tackles two hot topics of the day: Football and Color Television. Lucycoms were no stranger to pigskin plots, the LA Rams in particular. The entire team was featured in the 1949 Lucille Ball film Easy Living. Other mentions include: "The Football Game" (1950), Lucy is a Referee" (1962), "Lucy The Skydiver" (1970), and "Lucy and Aladdin's Lamp" (1971).
Tumblr media
Although not played by Stretch (aka Duke), Lucy Ricardo briefly encountered a Basset Hound named Rocky aboard the S.S. Constitution in 1956. Lonely, she briefly considers the dog as a ping pong partner!
Tumblr media
"The Little Monster" (S5;E29) introduces banker Drysdale's obnoxious nephew, Little Millby, played by Teddy Eccles. A year earlier on "The Lucy Show," banker Mooney's unruly nephew Wendell, played by Jay North, visits his uncle Theodore in "Lucy The Robot" (1965). North is best remembered for playing cherubic menace named Dennis on his own sitcom. Coincidentally, Eccles played Arnold Mooney, banker Mooney's youngest son, on a 1964 episode of "The Lucy Show."
Tumblr media
The Clampetts found themselves in England on several occasions. Most of their adventures were filmed in Hollywood, but the shows did include some location shooting with the principal cast, including of Buckingham Palace, a location visited by Lucy and Ethel in 1955. On "I Love Lucy," however, the Palace was recreated at Desilu. In 1966, Lucy Carmichael went to London in a special titled "Lucy in London." This time Ball and company actually visited England. Both the Clampetts and Mrs. Carmichael flew Pan American Airlines. Lucy Carter went to London in 1971 as traveling companion to talk show host David Frost. Once again Pan Am carried the characters across the pond. In return, stock footage of one of their jets was used, but viewers never saw anything more than Hollywood recreations of the interior of the jet and Frost's London TV studio. Faversham!
Tumblr media
In "Race for the Queen" (S2;19) in 1964, Miss Jane competed with Elly Mae (and Granny!) for the titled Queen of Beverly Hills. In 1970, Lucy Carter competed with Carol Krausmeyer for the title of Secretary Beautiful. Both pageants featured celebrity judges: Bob Cummings on "Hillbillies" and Robert Alda on "Lucy". Naturally, and somewhat regrettably, both contests included swimsuit competitions!
Tumblr media
In "Clampett City General Store" (S3;E3) Granny gets cast as Cleopatra in Mammoth Pictures' new epic. A year earlier, in 1963, Lucy Carmichael played Cleopatra for the Danfield Community Players. In both scripts, Theda Bara, who played Cleopatra in 1917, and the 1963 Liz Taylor epic are mentioned. Neither scripts acknowledge the 1934 Cecil B. DeMille epic starring Claudette Colbert.
Tumblr media
A bus tour of Beverly Hills is part of "Dr. Jed Clampett" (S3;E5) and a 1955 episode of "I Love Lucy" titled "The Tour". Both feature second unit film footage of a tour bus driving through the palm-lined streets. On the bus, an obnoxious woman is aching to get off, despite the warnings of the bus driver. In "Dr. Jed Clampett", that woman is the mother of a tap dancing prodigy and the home is that of movie studio owner Jed Clampett. In "The Tour," that woman is Lucy Ricardo, and the home is that of movie star Richard Widmark.
Tumblr media
In "Jed the Movie Mogul" (S3;E1), TV viewers (and the Clampetts) get a preview of a scene from the upcoming Universal film Send Me No Flowers. The scene features Rock Hudson and Doris Day and is shown to the Clampetts as dailies from a film being shot at Jed's Mammoth Studios. On a 1955 episode of "I Love Lucy" titled "Lucy and the Dummy" the host of the MGM executive show introduces a clip from their upcoming movie musical Guys and Dolls. After the first airing, the clip was removed from the syndicated print, while Send Me No Flowers remains part of "The Beverly Hillbillies" to this day. That same season, Lucy Ricardo met Rock Hudson on "In Palm Springs." BTW, both films were released in color, but seen on television shows filmed and aired in black and white.
Double Trouble
With so many episodes and so many seasons, it was inevitable that "Hillbillies" and "I Love Lucy" shared the same titles.
"The Ballet" (S3;E10) of the "Beverly Hillbillies" concerns Jed financially rescuing the Los Angeles ballet. Leon Belasco played the ballet master. He was seen on several episodes of "The Lucy Show," often in the context of classical music. "The Ballet" (S1;E10) of "I Love Lucy" has Lucy learning ballet to get into Ricky's act. Mary Wickes played the ballet mistress. Wickes played social climber Adaline Ashley on a 1967 episode of "Hillbillies."
"The Diner" (S6;E19) of "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "The Diner" (S3;E27) of "I Love Lucy" have more than titles in common. They both concern the main characters purchasing a diner. Jethro named his eatery The Happy Gizzard. The feuding Ricardos and Mertzes divide their diner. One half is named A Little Bit of Cuba, and the other side is named A Big Hunk of America.
~ Epilogue: Y'all Come Back Now!
Tumblr media
When the Clampetts made the cover of TV Guide in November 1962, it was Lucille Ball who got top billing - with a line over the masthead promoting her TV special with Danny Kaye. "The Beverly Hillbillies" made the cover nine times - while Lucille Ball reigned as queen of the Guide with 39 covers.
Tumblr media
"Return of the Beverly Hillbillies" (1981) featured Lucy regulars Lurene Tuttle as Mollie Heller as Charles Lane as Chief, both of whom were in the original series. Lucille Ball never presented a 'reunion' show as such, she simply reinvented her Lucy character with a new last name, just as she did in 1986's short-lived "Life With Lucy."
Tumblr media
In addition to comic books, both shows were novelized for young readers.

Hello !
Congratulations and thank you for the amazing work you’ve done so far. It’s been so much pain — FUN ! I mean fun. I thought I would never recover from round four after losing Irene Papas and Jean Seberg, but now it’s round five and for the first time I am actually stuck for some of these polls. Bacall / Bailey ????? Lamarr / Kelly ????? I feel like a shepherd being asked by goddesses who is the most beautiful of them. I am thankful to anyone who will send propaganda that might help.
at @hotvintagepoll our one duty is to recreate the mistakes of the golden apple and start the Trojan War all over again

A line I read in one of the Sherlock short stories ("My friend never stood on the dock") and my recent fixation on the Ace Attorney series led to me asking one question.
"What if Sherlock Holmes did go on trial, being accused of murder?"
The short story title would refer to the courthouse (maybe The Old Bailey, referenced in The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.)
Immediately following his arrest, Holmes sends a message to Watson. In the note, he tells Watson not to get sentimental and visit him in jail that night, but instead to investigate the scene of the crime, and see what he can deduce from it. Showing great trust in his friend, Watson does just that and takes very detailed notes on his findings.
"There was never a greater test of my own powers of observation."
And because of Holmes's status as a sort of celebrity, he will have a closed trial, with only members of the judiciary and key people on the case attending. This is to prevent the trial from becoming a media circus, and ensure the verdict will be reached by evidence and testimony rather than public opinion.
Godfrey Norton, who is now Irene Adler's husband, is serving as Holmes's defense counsel. Irene herself is attending the trial, watching from the gallery. (This is the final way Irene outsmarted Holmes in A Scandal in Bohemia - everyone believed Norton was a prosecutor working on her behalf, when he was actually a public defender.)
The opposing counsel is Charles Culverton-Smith, a prosecutor who is on track to become Director of Public Prosecutions. There’s a possibility that he took the case to add to his reputation (but that’s just speculation on Watson and Norton’s part.)
Watson tells Holmes of this theory when they speak in the defendant's lobby just before the trial, but Holmes is skeptical.
"If Culverton-Smith truly wanted to bolster his reputation, he would insist on a public trial where he could show his legal prowess to a larger audience. There is something else at play here, something far more sinister."
The trial begins. Both Norton and Culverton-Smith give their legal arguments, supporting their stances with evidence and witness testimony.
Watson is the final witness to speak in the trial. He describes his findings at the crime scene, and tries to use factual language (as Holmes remarked to him before, when talking about his writings.) Everyone in the courtroom (including the judge and the prosecution) believe Watson's observations to be so important, that they agree to call for a thirty minute recess. During the pause in proceedings, Lestrade and other policemen to look over the crime scene one more time alongside Watson to confirm what he said was true.
Sure enough, Watson's deductions prove that Sherlock Holmes couldn't have been the killer. When court is back in session, Lestrade gives his report. Based on the new information, the judge hands down a verdict of "not guilty" to Sherlock Holmes.
There is little time to celebrate, as Holmes immediately whisks Watson away to the streets of London. He insists they make haste the nearest carriage, because "There's still time to catch the true mastermind behind this devious plot!"
Lestrade picks up on Holmes's pursuit and decides to lead his own forces to block one of the main exits to London.
Meanwhile, Holmes and Watson enter a high speed chase against the true culprit, who's been behind at least two other incidents of framing people for murders he committed.
At the end of the chase, the criminal is surrounded by Lestrade and his police force on one side, along with Holmes and Watson (who is armed with his revolver) on the other side. He finally surrenders and gives himself up, at last being taken into custody.
Watson is astonished at this turn of events. "My dear Holmes, you've done it again! I'm speechless!"
"Indeed I have, but I insist you don't undersell your role in this, dear Watson. This case would have a much darker conclusion without your thoughtful analysis. I trust that you will reflect that in your writings, if there is ever a time you will be permitted to release the details to the public."
Charles Culverton-Smith catches up with Holmes and Watson. He didn't get a chance to speak with them after the trial, but wanted them to know that he harbored no ill will towards Holmes. He was simply doing his job as a man who practices law, and couldn't imagine leaving the trial to anyone else. Because everyone deserves a fair trial, and many other lawyers are biased either for or against Holmes, depending on how his actions affected their cases.
Holmes comments that Culverton-Smith will make a fine Director of Public Prosecutions when the time comes, since his integrity speaks for itself.
"If I am ever on the dock in the future, I would trust your judgment."
Watson insists Holmes not talk about "the next time in court" because he doesn't want there to be a "next time."
Holmes agrees to move on from the subject. He points out there is still ample time for breakfast and sets off to find the nearest place that will serve Watson's favorite dishes. "My treat, naturally."
Watson concludes the story mentioning that five years have passed since the first and only trial of his friend, Sherlock Holmes. The events in the closed courtroom have been made public, to teach students of law how to conduct a fair trial of a famous (or infamous) client.

Baby Names
Names the Brothers would pick for their children.
Lucifer:
Girl- Aurora. Lucifer is the Morning Star. And so it makes sense he’d name his daughter after the sunrise. For Aurora’s meaning is dawn. And she’d be the light of his life
Boy- Akmal. It means perfect. And to him, your child would be absolutely perfect and whole and without harm as he’d slaughter anyone who’d dare make them cry.
Gender Neutral- Nuris. It means my bright and my consuming fire. Lucifer would be so overjoyed to be a father (again) that his child would consume his world.
------------------------------------------------
Mammon:
Girl- Soneeya. It means Golden and Beloved. You know Mammon’s treasures would be his kids and his naming will reflect his love for them.
Boy- Eas. It means Gold. His treasure. His most loved thing aside from his family.
Gender Neutral- Deor. Meaning Beloved Baby and Golden one. Mammon’s naming scheme is pretty simple, but each name is picked with care for his treasured children.
------------------------------------------------
Leviathan:
Girl- Henrietta. The female form of Henry. He’d want his daughter to be his friend too. He hopes.
Boy- Rurik. It’s the name of a noble. But it’s also the closest male name to Ruri. He had hoped no one would notice. But it was too obvious.
Gender Neutral- Orly. It means My Joy and My Happiness. Leviathan suffers from depression and doubting himself. To see his child would mean he was loved and would bring him joy at sight of them.
------------------------------------------------
Satan:
Girl- Irene. It means Peace and Tranquility. It’s also a name from Sherlock Holmes. He also loves the irony of the name given what he is the Avatar of.
Boy- Ranpo. It’s the name of a famous detective author who influenced a lot of detective media in Japan.
Gender Neutral- Braelin. It means a Person Who is Intelligent And Wise. Those traits are important to Satan and he’d want his child to value them as well.
------------------------------------------------
Asmodeus:
Girl- Belle. It means beauty. I mean. She’s HIS daughter. She’s not only the most beautiful girl, she is the BELLE of the BALL! He demands it.
Boy- Beau. It means beauty. I mean. He’s HIS son. He’s going to be the second most handsome demon in all of the Devildom and his name WILL reflect that!
Gender Neutral- Bijou. It means Jewel. And just like their father, they WILL be a Jewel to the three realms!
  ------------------------------------------------
Beelzebub:
Girl- Lily. It’s close to Lilith. He didn’t want to name her Lilith directly. He doesn’t want his daughter in his sister’s shadow. But he wants to honor her memory and show love.
Boy- Beli. It’s close to ‘Belphie’ and he wanted to honor his brother without using the same name. Belphie ugly cried at being told the reason for the name.
Gender Neutral- Bailey. It’s the same reason he chose Beli. Beel loves his family and his twin especially. It sounds close without being exact.
 ------------------------------------------------
Belphegor:
Girl- Lilli. It’s close to Lilith and he wanted to honor his sister that he misses so much. He cried when you agreed on the name. It also means ‘of the night’ so she is his star as well.
Boy- Lelli. It’s picked for the same reason as a girl’s name. His sister is missed so dearly. It also means ‘a person born after the sun sets’. He would pick another name if there’s a boy and a girl. But this is his first choice.
Gender Neutral- Stellar. It means ‘One Who Shines Brightly Like The Star’. And for one that loves looking at the stars, this name is something he treasures.

The Dez Illusion / Salt in the Wound Voice Claims
youtube
THE VOICE CLAIMS ARE FINISHED FINALLY
This has been in the works for a loooong time. The hardest part was finding these DAMNED VOICES. By FAR the hardest voice to find was Rakell’s, but his game out very nicely!
Here’s some general notes I have for everyone, if you wanna read.
Erandur (Keith Szarabajka) - (TDI / SITW) No issues with his original VA. Gruff but very sweet and comforting.
Serana (Laura Bailey) - (TDI / SITW) Again, no issues with her original VA. Blunt and sassy, very capable of dry humor.
Miraak (Peter Jessop) - (TDI / SITW) I couldn’t not use his original voice, it’s just so dramatic and grumpy.
Sanguine (William Salyers) - (TDI / SITW) Originally went looking for a more smooth-talking, charming voice, but nothing I found could quite keep the same level of mischief that his og voice had. So, while I think the perfect voice is out there somewhere, og voice is still wonderful.
Ancano (Alexander Brandon) - (TDI / SITW) Love his og voice, it’s so pompous and entitled. In a perfect world I would be able to find something like this with a sailor/pirate accent, but this is pretty close.
Ego (Dan Avidan) - (TDI / SITW) When first starting this project, a bunch of buddies told me that Dan Avidan fit their voice, and it just kinda stuck lol. I think Dan’s voice works especially well in SITW, the only thing I could ask more from it is if it matched Erandur’s accent a little. But, it still adds a lovely charm and goofiness that Ego definitely needs!
Rakell (Grahame Fox) - (TDI / SITW) Like I said, my buddies and I went through a LOT of grief trying to find the right voice for him. He probably went through the most changes, from Stoic (HTTYD) to Sir Gideon Ofnir (Elden Ring). Eygon ended up being the perfect fit, with as low and growls as he was.
Iren (Richard Schiff) - (pre-TDI) What a wonderfully soothing voice, made specially to lull you into a false sense of security, but bleeding with wisdom.
Velehk Sain (Josh Keaton) - (TDI / SITW) A good commanding voice, though aired with a type of softness that he can’t seem to loose, like he’s trained his voice to be authoritative but it doesn’t always hit the mark. When it’s soft, it sounds the most natural. My only wishes are that his voice was a tad bit higher and had a pirate inflection.
Caspian (Johnny Depp) - (SITW) Wild, loud, and slurred, Captain Jack just worked so very well for Caspian.
Kyrahk (Scott Porter) - (SITW) The perfect level of arrogance, perfect vocabulary, perfect speed. His voice only throws me off because I wish it sounded a bit older or lower.
Molag Bal (Graham McTavish) - (TDI / SITW) Ironic that a vampire would voice the father of all vampires. Perfect all around, being dark, broody, and ever-intimidating, and sounds damn good when annoyed!
Mehrunes Dagon (Christopher Judge) - (TDI / SITW) Low, wise, blunt, and intimidating, very perfect for Dagon. I only wish he had a better yelling voice. While Kratos’ yells are short and change his tone, I always imagined Dagon’s yells as long and rumbly.
Hermaeus Mora (Dee Bradley Baker) - (TDI / SITW) This voice is the stuff of nightmares. Glorious.
Sheogorath (Wes Johnson) - (TDI / SITW) HE’S SHEOGORATH BABY!!
Vaermina (Ellen McLain) - (TDI) Proper and highly sassy, cruel and cold, but always sounding lovely. My only wish was to get rid of the robotic effect a little—not fully.

Tumblr media
below is a brief description of each character: (to be added)
Maria (She/Her) is a very ambitious and passionate artist. Her chosen media is painting, whether in liquid or spray form. She aspires to paint murals all over her city someday. Maria also has a pet praying mantis she named Rocket. She’s also bisexual.
Shea (He/Him) is more quiet. He’s very by the rules at some points and tries to be polite. He enjoyed doing Scouts and often tries to apply those skills to conversation. Shea also loves to help his mom bake. He has a rat named Strudel (which his parents adopted.) He is asexual but heteroromantic
Irene (She/They) is a very loud and brass person at times. She and Maria’s personalities just amplify each other. The two had been best friends since elementary. They are the kind of person who’d immediately yell at and fight anyone that you say was mean, even with not knowing them. She enjoys dancing. Irene is a demisexual demigirl.
Melati (she/her) is a kind girl with strange interests. She adores the dark and mysterious and writes stories about it. Once you ask her about it, she’ll never stop. Melati hopes to write popular best sellers of her ideas someday. She always is practicing her knowing smile to prepare for that photo. Melati is a lesbian.
October (he/him) is very introverted. He doesn’t really talk to a lot of people but he’s respectful. A lot of people are put off by his very distant attitude but if you warm up to him, you find he’s really caring. He is generally aroace. October enjoys walking around more by hiking and going trapshooting with the school’s team.
Wren (They/Them) is a wildcard. Generally impulsively doing things that are either a threat to themself or to others (like trying to pet a raccoon.) hence the various bandages. They love to do track and took up a hobby of woodworking. They have a cat named Misa and love her so much. Wren is nonbinary and pansexual.
Owen (He/Him) is the calmest out of his friend group between him, Wren, Sylvia, and Jamie, which is sort of like being the tallest dwarf. Usually being the empathetic one to listen and to tell everyone to shut up so Sylvia can speak. Owen enjoys 2000s movies and drafting up designs of all sorts. He’s also a connoisseur of gum. Owen is gay.
Sylvia (She/Her) is very.. non-talkative. She really can. Everyone’s heard her a few times. It’s just that she has moments of not wanting to talk. Her parents had issues growing up and didn’t want her to feel like her wants didn’t matter, so they told her she didn’t ever have to talk if she didn’t want to. Sylvia took this to heart. She spends more time writing poetry and ice skating than talking. Her parents are also friends with Maria and Irene’s parents so sometimes they’ll have her come with. She is bi-curious. (Fun fact: Owen designed her hat)
Jamie (He/Him) is the last member of the friend group. He is fired up most of the time. Jamie has an affinity about baseball. When he’s not playing ball, he’s usually hanging out with the three of them, probably at a restaurant. Probably staring across the table for too long and- Anyway. Jamie is a raging bisexual but has a fem pref.
Halley (She/Her) is sarcastic. Always having to have the last word, she often finds herself fighting with Irene, though they just play it up for entertainment but nobody knows. She and her twin brother are actually new to town so they are trying to settle in. Halley loves astrology partially because it bothers her dad to no end, but she also actually loves learning about astronomy and physics. Halley has a ferret named Dynamite. Halley is unlabeled as of now, so she just tells people she’s straight when they ask.
Castor (He/They) is very much opposite to his sister’s flaming personality. When she’s riling up a crowd, they often just standing by to walk her away and back to class before a teacher gets involved. He loves inventing and experimenting, having a bunch of machinery in his room from his mom’s job. Castor often finds themself a nervous wreck, even more so after realizing he has a crush on their neighbor in the apartment complex he lives in. Castor is bisexual with a masc pref.
Naomi (She/Her) is an upbeat and optimistic ray of sunshine. She enjoys playing her drums and decorating her prosthetic leg with stickers. With one of her parents’ streaming careers helping fund pay for it, she was ecstatic about it. Naomi is part of a band with two other people, Ana and Leo. They’re called Absent July Delta. Naomi is pansexual.
Ethan (He/Him) focuses more about the other people around him than himself. He is often afraid to share his interests, but he’s a huge fan of filmmaking and programming. Ethan is working on a series that he, Melati, and Shea are all in. He’d love to invite Wren to work on it too, he just can’t muster up to ask though. Ethan is demisexual.
Anika (She/He) is a gentle and listening person. She tries his best to help everyone and be there for people. After all, he’s trying to be a therapist in the future. Psychology is one of her biggest interests, alongside dying his hair different colors) Often, he will be sitting in a chair listening to people’s problems while finishing up crocheting. She finds it’s easier to listen while her hands are busy. He is aroace and transfem.
Ana (She/Her) is a “go with the flow” type person. She really finds that anything was meant to happen for a reason. She is the one usually bringing snacks for Leo and Naomi. She’s a guitarist fanatic. Always. Naomi’s family friend even offered to give her lessons. Ana has posters all over her room and was the first one to suggest starting a band. Ana is also Castor and Halley’s cousin, has a border collie named Ruthie, and wears bright green contacts for fun. She is asexual.
Leo (He/Him) finds it interesting to debate people. Doing good is something he’s always an advocate for. Leo cares about the environment and often signs up for roadside cleaning. He also does a lot of performing activities, like singing in the band, which Ana caught him doing once and dragged him into the idea, and doing competitive speech. After a lot of this, he often just curls up on his bed and takes a nap. He is straight as far as he knows.
