Hello there! i'm not really sure how active will i be on here, but a nice little introduction wont hurt anyone :)
My name is niko, i use she/her pronouns, i am 16 years old (so don't be weird) and fairly new to tumblr (i am very lost and with very much no idea what's going on here). My favourite colours are green, red and pink, i am a hufflepuff and i love spring and snowdrops (the flowers). really good ship(?) dynamic is incredibly powerful supernatural entity (bonus points if they've been alive for like thousands of years), while exploring human life, gets like really really really attached to a single specific human to the point that the two of them are basically soulmates and the entity's life is revolving around the human and they'd do Anything for them at least for the time being (bonus points if such a relationship is like taboo in the entity's culture OR the entity is an entirely simgular one and has no such culture OR they're also like at the top of the food chain even in their own origin so nobody's saying shit abt their new "plaything" (they are NOT a plaything they mean the world to them.))

HELLO MAGGOTS this is the good omens mascot here hello hello. my psychiatrist just spent today telling me how I won't be able to be out in college when it starts in May and I'll be misgendered etc etc it's all a good time. So my solution:
My darling cousin @imchronicallyonlinesowhat (the one who thought Sir Terry Pratchett looked like Sudha Murthy, was a kindly old woman and was married to Neil Gaiman because their book cover fonts were similar, OG maggots know the PAIN) who lives in South Africa asked me to make a South Africa post. FYI, she's moving to Australia for college, so you can be assured I shared my Australia posts with her she is SO prepared she won't say marmite instead of vegemite and she knows the Wibbles are inherently sexual. SOUTH AFRICA (I've only had a teeny weeny bit of cheap ass wine so far):
There a lot of white people there it's ineffable. There are enough of them there that my cousin regularly talks about not ever marrying someone who doesn't have some masala.
Afrikaans is a gorgeous language. I thought my cousin was showing me her Afrikaans notes once. She wasn't. It was her English notes, she just has the most illegible yet neat handwriting in the world.
They don't say yo but they say YOH and it sounds very much like a bass drum.
People at my cousin's school pump their hands in the air while saying jesus-jesus.
There's a trio of white boys that rule the school kind of like a genderswapped mean girls. They all look the same haircut-wise, they're Catholic and they're called the Triumvirate.
I'm realising here that my knowledge of South Africa is limited to cuzzy's school. But the wine is shit and I promised my blood-relative so I am continuing.
The books are fucking expensive and so everyone has to pirate shit. This sounds like the US.
Everyone is TALL. Like VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY TALL. The standard of height is insanely different from India. TALL.
If you don't have a last name you're going to get into legal trouble.
The no hat no play rule applies here as well as Australia apparently.
The wine cost like 2.5 dollars in USD if my conversion rates are correct, it smells like battery acid and tastes of rotted grapes. Nothing to do with South Africa, it's just that I cannot remember a single other thing about South Africa other than it's a country in Africa that's presumably in the South.
My braincells are already frying. For my cousin's sake, I'm going to compile all my Australia posts here so that she knows what to expect! Australian maggots your continent is about to be graced with the Good Omens Mascot bloodline. In ep 6, right after Aziraphale asks if the Great Plan is also the Ineffable Plan, Crowley seems to realize something and says “You don’t know.” Maybe I’m missing something obvious, but…wtf does this mean?? I’ve watched the show twice through and I still don’t know lmao. Thanks!! :)
Hiya! :) Crowley realizes that they don't actually know what God's plan is, so they can with Aziraphale bullshit them to go away :D (like... oh you thought that the Great Plan about War is the thing? oh no, actually the Ineffable Plan is and it means something different...), in the book there is:
"Excuse me," said the angel.
The trio looked at him.
"This Great Plan," he said, "this would be the ineffable Plan, would it?"
There was a moment's silence.
"It's the Great Plan," said the Metatron flatly. "You are well aware. There shall be a world lasting six thousand years and it will conclude with—"
"Yes, yes, that's the Great Plan all right," said Aziraphale. He spoke politely and respectfully, but with the air of one who has just asked an unwelcome question at a political meeting and won't go away until he gets an answer. "I was just asking if it's ineffable as well. I just want to be clear on this point."
"It doesn't matter!" snapped the Metatron. "It's the same thing, surely!"
Surely? thought Crowley. They don't actually know. He started to grin like an idiot.
"So you're not one hundred percent clear on this?" said Aziraphale.
"It's not given to us to understand the ineffable Plan," said the Metatron, "but of course the Great Plan—"
"But the Great Plan can only be a tiny part of the overall ineffability," said Crowley. "You can't be certain that what's happening right now isn't exactly right, from an ineffable point of view."
"It izz written!" bellowed Beelzebub.
"But it might be written differently somewhere else," said Crowley.
"Where you can't read it."
"In bigger letters," said Aziraphale.
"Underlined," Crowley added.
"Twice," suggested Aziraphale.
"Perhaps this isn't just a test of the world," said Crowley. "It might be a test of you people, too. Hmm?"
"God does not play games with His loyal servants," said the Metatron, but in a worried tone of voice.
"Whoop-eee," said Crowley. "Where have you been?"

I’m not sure if your requests are open, but if they are could I request a Aziraphale x f!reader x Crowley where the reader has long hair and Crowley decides to play a prank on her and while the trio are out for a drive in the Bentley, Crowley rolls the windows down just to mess with the reader’s hair but the prank ends up backfiring because the reader loves the wind and grew out her hair mainly because she likes when the wind blows through her hair?

You had always adored your long hair. The way it subtly cascaded down your shoulders and back like silky strands of thread. Aziraphale and Crowley can say for themselves how many times a day they see you brush it, just to keep it looking neat and nice. Sometimes Aziraphale will style it for you. So will Crowley, with many grumblings, if you ask enough times. You don't wear ponytails anymore though, as Crowley is guaranteed to grab them.
On one particular day, you were cleaning up the bookstore and just doing little errands in general.
"Y/n?" Aziraphale said, right behind you.
"AH!" He had startled you, but you quickly recover.
"What is it Az?"
"Ah, I was just coming to let you know that Crowley and I were going to run an errand."
"Oh, alright. Can I come along?"
Aziraphale looks at you, bewildered.
"I'm not sure you'd find it much fun. Would you really enjoy coming along?" He asks.
You were about to reply when you hear Crowley shout from across the room.
"Just let her come, Angel. Its her own fault if she gets bored."
Aziraphale laughs nervously, and turns back to you.
"Of course you can come! I'm just worried you won't have a good time." He says.
"Oh it's okay, Az. I'll always have a good time with you guys." You reply, kissing him on his cheek.
"Yeah, and we can finally do whatever it is you're always yapping about, quality time is it?" Crowley jokes.
"Oh Crowely.." Aziraphale coos with mock disappointment. "Weren't you the one who begged me to ask our dear Y/n if she wanted to go to The Ritz with us the other night?" Crowley just grumbles and goes back to sipping his alcoholic beverage.
You laugh and playfully hit Aziraphales shoulder.
"Whats the errand?" You ask.
"Just some....shopping." He hesitantly replies. You would normally call him on his bluff, but you decided against it for today. They were letting you come along after all.
"We're taking a cab, right?" Crowley shouts across the room.
"Of course not! You have the beautiful Bentley right there." Aziraphale replies.
"Oh come on angel, I don't want to drive her around for something so trivial. You remember what happened last time?"
"We agreed not to talk about it."
"Yeah yeah-"
"What happened?" You cut in. Aziraphale stops, before giving you a strained smile.
"Nothing, don't worry about it. Let's get going."
Aziraphale takes your arm and links it in his own. He walks you to the car before you guys take your respective seats. You always sit in the back. Aziraphale always offers to switch spots with you, but it would feel almost inappropriate with how long its been. Crowley exits the bookshop soon after, and hops into his car.
"We're heading a bit far away. Like a 45 minute drive. Hope you don't mind cupid." Crowley states, and quickly peels out.
"Oh no, of course not." You reply. You were used to the nickname, so you didn't even mention it. It threw you off so hard when he first called you it, though, and you were checking if he had a fever all day.
Nothing really happened during the first 20 minutes of the drive. The Bentley played a few compromising love songs that left Crowley and Aziraphale blushing, and you blissfully unaware. After the tenth love song in a row, Aziraphale had gotten fully over it, and turned off the radio.
"Well thats enough of that. Any songs you want to play?" Aziraphale miracled and aux cord for you.
"Oh, I'm not sure you'll like what I play.."
"Its fine dear, we won't judge."
"Well..." Crowley cuts in, and Aziraphale shoves him with his elbow. Crowley hesitantly smiles.
"Yeah, we won't judge cupid."
You connect the line to your phone, and start playing your playlists. Some of the songs Crowley loves, some of the songs Aziraphale loves, and some are just for you. At some point, Crowley gets the idea to play a little prank on you. He notices how hard you try to keep your hair neat, and only hesitates for a second before rolling the window down, making your long hair blow all over the place. Aziraphale looks at Crowley appaled, but you just laugh. You laugh and laugh, which surprises both of them. You stick your head fully out of the window, and although its slightly hard to breathe, you don't care. You let the wind make your hair twirl and flit in the cold winter air. After a minute or two, your face starts to get cold, and you return back to the car. Crowley looks back at you and laughs.
"You look like you got electrocuted darling. You're hair is frazzled and your cheeks are all red." Aziraphale says. You laugh, and soon you're all laughing.
"Ah, whatever. I'll fix it when I get home."
"I'm surprised. I thought you'd kill me after that little act."
You smile.
"Jokes on you, the whole reason I grew my hair out was to have it blow in the wind."
Crowley smiles.
"Of course you did."

It's my birthday so I'm gonna get a little sappy.
8 months ago I felt like I was boring and weird. I felt it was a wonder that anyone wanted to put up with me. I was getting back into reading a bit, I had tried and failed to get into law school, and overall I felt like a disappointment and a failure.
Getting obsessed with Good Omens and being involved in the Fandom has changed my life. I write for fun now, I read all the time, I will very soon be ready to start streaming on Twitch again. I have friends who join me in my enthusiasm for the show, and strangers online who like the things I have to say, and it inspires me to try new things and post like I have 1000 followers even though I have like 30?? I feel like I matter, I feel like I have Things To Say, and that people want to hear them.
Hard to feel like a disappointment when I'm so busy being happy and confident and planning my future. I didn't get into law school but I did get accepted to a masters program for library science, so you won't find me moping about being a failure because I'm too busy screaming about my successes (big and small) to anyone who will listen.
And a LOT of this is because of this Fandom and the people in it. I know that there are unfriendly corners of it where people don't feel welcome, but here in this corner where I have found myself, I feel like I'm home.
So thank you Ineffable Fandom. I love you. And thank you also to the Golden Trio of @neil-gaiman , David Tennant, and Michael Sheen.

Okay so I’ve been Rotating in My Brain the idea of a Fluffybird Good Omens AU for a while now, because on one hand, like, whatever you do it as Crowely!Duck and Aziraphale!Red or Aziraphale!Duck and Crowley!Red, it has so much comedic potential, like any possible way for a scene to play out is absolutely hilarious…
But I also feel Weird, like, ‘breaking apart’ the Trio like that.
You know, even if I make Yellow Guy another central character like Adam or Muriel, that would still be putting him as kinda separate from Duck and Red Guy, and I just… can’t bring myself to do it. These guys have to come in a Set of Three. There's three of them!
… On the other hand, it also got me thinking about Beelzebub!Roy and Gabriel!Lesley and honestly that’s a really great idea… Is this going to be the first time I make a Good Omens AU purely for the sake of Ineffable Burracercy???

Sorry if this is long and rambly but I just need to get this off my chest
We all know the importance of Alpha Centauri in Good Omens. It's the great big romantic gesture Crowley makes. It's the place he asks Aziraphale to run off too. It’s the place he believes to be a safe paradise and he even suggested it to Gabriel and Beelzebub when they needed somewhere to go, but there's always been something that's bothered me about it.
Alpha Centauri is three stars.
We all know this shows relationship with symbolization. So I started thinking, what’s the importance of three?
If it was two it would be simple. Two stars orbiting around each other unaware of the outerworld, only focused on each other's pull. A cute simple romantic symbol of love, but it's never that easy.
Could it be that our ineffable disasters adopted a kid to make a trio? Adam? The Them? Murial? Jim? Us? There's just too many, maybe if we were looking at the entire Centaurus constellation, but we're just looking at Alpha Centauri.
Could it be representing Heaven, Hell, and Earth? I couldn't find any relation other than one of the stars has a roughly earth sized planet. Another dead end.
I was stumped, that was until I told my mom, only then did I have a heart shattering realization.
The three stars of Alpha Centauri represent the three kingdoms. Afterlife’s paradise In Mormon religion. They also happen to be the three layers of heaven.
That being said, it means Crowley, in his own way, asked Aziraphale to heaven first…
