Does anyone else do that thing where they wish they could be a cute girl, but they keep telling themselves they aren't trans and they never will be because don't have the financial and/or physical means to transition so they should stop pretending to be queer and just get on with life. I've been asked if I was trans a few times but the funniest one, (only funny one honestly) happened recently. (Usually it's because I'm very flat chested)
Someone sort of took me aside and asked if I was trans, I said no, because I'm not, and when I asked why they thought I might be they looked embarrassed.
"Um, it's just in your pants...you're kinda showing." They gestured to my pants. "I thought you might want to know."
It wasn't a penis, I was wearing a very thick pad and I'd layered another pad on it because I was feeling paranoid about bleeding through the first. It was pressing against the front of my pants. It also did the back but I had my backpack. "No, that's a pad."
They apologized and kinda hurried off. Idk just was kinda funny to me.

ok i gotta rant. and if i was famous id probably get cancelled but i would have been cancelled long ago lmao. ok what is up with all these people blasting healthcare works for preforming trans surgeries they asked for??!!! grown ass people are talking about how their lives are ruined and its the fault of the healthcare workers who approved of their ‘gender affirming’ surgery. like im sorry but if you went to these people and they said ‘no you just need therapy’ youd fucking put them on blast for that!!!!!! would you not??!!!!! im sorry but this kind of feels like if i got a tattoo on my face, booked an appointment with an artist, then put the artist on blast because now my life is ruined, i cant get a job, and they should have told me to get help before allowing me to do it.
like i feel like theyre trying to paint this picture of ‘evil healthcare workers are trying to turn the world trans!!!’ BRUH YOU CAME TO THEM. im sorry but its frustrating lol. this is going to make it harder for trans people to get surgery and/or just be validated in public spaces when we keep blasting these healthcare workers.
i suppose if youre a healthcare worker, you should do the due diligence, but just because youre a healthcare worker doesnt mean you know everything about health. the people who focus on trans surgeries, FOCUS ON TRANS SURGERIES. youre a grown adult, dont go to a surgeon and expect a therapist. bruh my psychologist who knows more about my brain than anyone isnt allowed to prescribe me pills, there are different sections.
maybe instead address what actually happened. society has put a binary on gender, and these people didnt feel totally comfortable in that binary so they switched to the other binary before realizing that wasnt actually the problem and the real solution is to just be whoever you wannnntttttt, regardless of what your gender is. which is not to say people shouldnt transition, i actually think this is going to hurt people who legitimately want to transition.

addicts in active addiction with no intention of quitting
phys disabled people who deny medical treatment
neurodivergent people who deny psychiatric treatment (yes, including schizophrenic people and people with personality disorders)
trans people who want or don't want to medically transition (yes, including trans masc lesbians with top surgery and trans women without bottom surgery, yall are so weird to them wtf)

for whoever needs to hear this:
starting HRT doesn't have to be a huge momentous all-or-nothing decision. you can just try it like you would an antidepressant you've been informed of the risks of.
there won't be any immediate irreversible changes overnight. you can always stop, change your dose, change your delivery system, decide it's not the right time. you can even microdose if you want to.
you don't have to tell anyone. you don't have to announce it if you don't want to.
stop waiting for a perfect time in your life because it won't come.
stop waiting to reach a mythical level of certainty that never comes to anyone, for anything.
you've been thinking about it long enough. if you have the opportunity, just give it a shot. you're worth the courage it takes to make a change in your life.
