So! I haven’t had my feed of Obanai in a long time! And well, I came up with this random idea out of the blue and wrote it, and now I really like it!

I wanted to write a short story but ah, screw it, headcanons are my stronghold after all

Iguro Obanai with a Fluttershy! Reader

You’re sensitive, meek, very timid and sweet. So how did you bond with Obanai so much to become a couple, when he is the direct opposite of you? It’s a funny story, really

You were interested in Kaburamaru at first. You simply LOVE all types of animals and connect easier with fauna then human beings, so you managed to approach the already scary fellow Hashira to ask about his serpent companion

It went from acquaintances to companionship to friendship then to love, but it took quite some time. Due to the matching closed-off nature you two share. Obanai is afraid of getting hurt again and you’re just too timid

Overtime, you always wanted to be besides him since he made you feel heard, welcome and safe. You clung onto his side everytime the Hashira did get-togethers and though, you didn’t have the gut. You did wanted to be closer

And that closer came to be when you finally managed to blurt out your feelings for him when you invited him over to meet all your cute woodland animal friends at your homely cottage. Obanai accepted it wholeheartedly and gave you the first kiss you have ever had in your life

Obanai is a very protective boyfriend. You’re a doormat and can’t stand up for yourself, out of your kindness but Obanai happily will and he won’t hold back to make sure you never get stepped on again. You feel like a princess being rescued by her prince, and you love it

Obanai loves your animal friends and he has been trying to learn how to care for them. They make you happy so he will always appreciate whatever makes you happy. He may get a bit jealous over those animals getting affection but they don’t get your love like he does

Obanai has been practicing his flowercrown making skills for you since it is incorporated in his reclusive dates with you. At flower fields, in the forests, at private restaurants. He gifts you with a cute flowercrown each date

Obanai is aware of your social anxiety and he will keep you safe from social situations. You don’t need to speak a word, let him do everything as he holds your hand and kisses it to quell your fear, and succeeding

Obanai, alongside his flowers and flowercrowns, bought you a adorable light pink butterfly-shaped gemstone pendant and you wear it constantly as a sign of your love for your lovely boyfriend. You don’t need material needs from him as you prefer to be in his presence

You help each other in the most perfect ways. Obanai helps boost your confidence and adapt in sociality whilst you help tone down his harshness and bend to becoming a more approachable person. It’s a fair exchange and he truly likes the cute routine you two share

Your cute white bunny pet, Angel is very mean to Obanai but he never snarks back. Your pet is important to you and everything you love will be preserved and protected by him

“Look, Darling. Angel is getting better, he didn’t scratch me as much. Does it make you happy? Yes, that’s my only mission. Make my beautiful love happy. Because she deserves it”

“w-who…” the man said quietly. the man rolled over into your arms, opening his eyes. “y/n…? why a-are you in my chambers!?” he asked with an alarmed tone. you grabbed his hips and pulled him closer to you, smiling softly. “iguro, don’t move…” you said softly, and he widened his eyes. “my face covering isn’t o-on..I’m afraid you’ll-” you shushed him, kissing his neck gently “your beautiful iguro.”

he whined at the praise, getting too weak to attempt to escape your arms. he let out a small moan as you began to suck on his neck, holding his hips tighter. “w-wait…! my neck is sensitive…~!” you growled in his ear, forcing him raise his head up. “tell me your pretty and I’ll stop.” he whimpered at the word, ‘pretty’.

“but I’m n-not, I’m horrid…” he said in the softest tone ever. your hand trailed down and into his shorts, slowly rubbing on his plump ass. “you’re asking to be punished at this rate aren’t you? your not horrid, your beautiful and alluring.” you slid a finger inside him, slowly curling it up and around. “I’ll be gentle, but as long as you don’t call yourself pretty, we’ll be doing this all morning.” he moaned rigidly, gripping softly onto the comforter.

“what if I —don’t want this to end…?”

Iguro lost his eyes not being able to see the one he loves for the last time the only thing he could do was promise to marry her in the next life while hugging her, mitsuri lost her arms because of that she wasn't able to hug back iguro and was happy that she finally found someone

Fun fact

The reason that obanai And kanroji were buried together was not because them dying together, obanai's grip was so strong that the kakushis weren't able to separate them

The two of them were buried together under a Sakura tree and got reincarnated together

Another fact sad

Obanai died a minute before Mitsuri and she kept talking to him,thinking he was still there..

Mitsuri's last words were

If we ever get reborn... Promise me that we will get married....My body doesn't hurt at all…

Obanai's last words

for some reason tonight i cant stop thinking about different pairings for the infinity castle arc. what if shinobu had met akaza first, where she reminds him of poison-users, but he can't attack her due to her gender and her revenge wouldn't work on a demon who doesn't eat women? what if it was gyomei who met kaigaku, and genya with him seeing just how bad older brother figures could really be? or tanjiro and muichirou as a team meeting kokushibo, reminding him of yoriichi in different aspects of themselves. sanemi getting frustrated over douma's fake personality while giyuu takes no shit because he's so used to shinobu poking at him. iguro and yushiro finding each other first and sort of getting along because each of them worship a girlboss. mitsuri meeting inosuke and his loud personality who doesn't understand social norms, meaning he doesn't care that a woman is strangely strong. kanao meeting zenitsu against like nakime or someone where each of their heightened senses picks up fear from the other, and though they have multiple different reasons, one similar worry is failing those they love.

like. hello? there could've been so many different lifelong relationships if nakime had strum her biwa even slightly differently.

Tokito Muichiro

It’s not that bad. Muichiro is just confused on why you always apologise. About 9/10 times, you have done nothing wrong

So Muichiro mentions it to you whilst it’s on his mind. Why do you need to apologise when you haven’t done anybody wrong

“Love. Don’t keep apologising, you don’t need to. You are perfect and you haven’t wronged anybody to need to apologise”

Iguro Obanai

Obanai does not like it at all. You shouldn’t have to apologise over and over, when you haven’t even lifted a finger against somebody. Why must you, hey?

Obanai won’t scold you. He just brings it up after you apologise to him for the tenth time that day. He is annoyed by the fact you feel required to apologise for nothing

“Darling. You haven’t done anything wrong, why are you apologising. Yes, sometimes you do little messups but that isn’t worth begging for forgiveness”

Kamado Tanjiro

Tanjiro is more than kinda concerned with each time, you are a real life angel brought to him from the heavens. You don’t need to be sorry, you’re only human

Unlike the other two above, Tanjiro won’t bring it up as it’s happening. He feels like that is rude so he slides it in when you mention your occasional slipups, so it seems more polite

“You know, Angel, that you don’t owe anybody a genuine sorry when you never do anything wrong. Accidents are one thing but you don’t need to keep saying sorry”
