Mm. Pain.
Project R au where Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and Tim Drake have a kinda sorta custody battle (more like argument) about who should take in Danny.
The twist? None of them want to take Danny in and are trying to force him onto the others. Each has valid reasons not to take Danny in, Jason is a crime lord, Dick has had paparazzi trailing him around lately, Tim is still a minor and can't take in anyone, ect. Theres a million reasons for each of them. Unfortunately no one realized Danny was overhearing all of this from another room.
Danny had spent so much time building his dads up in his mind, thinking that when he finally found them everything would be great. He never even considered his dads wouldn't want him. Heck, how was he supposed to know his dads were adopted brothers? He kinda understands how this was weird but...what about him? He didn't really have anywhere to go but...should he just leave?
Maybe that would be for the best...

Andrew, peacefully reading at a coffee shop when some guy with absurdly blue eyes and wild auburn hair plants himself in front of his table holding a cup of coffee and says “that’s a great book”

Batman fanfiction that doesn't explicitly state that it's being written in the Lego batman universe, but just makes subtle references like his "plastic complexion" or "clawed hands". And the references get more and more obvious as the fanfic progresses, making the readers wonder if they're crazy or are they reading Lego batman fanfiction.
And then at some point just have him go yeah my ex-girlfriend Wildstyle left me for some rando :(

Okay, so I'm sure people are plenty familiar with Peter Parker and DC crossover fics, right?
However, I'd like to suggest: imagine if the DC universe is a canon comic book series and whatnot in the MCU, and vis versa?
Peter ends up in Gotham and is immediately (almost concerningly so) familiar with the rogue gallery, the vigilantes, and where relatively safe locations are. The Bats suddenly see who looks to be Peter Parker, and after they hear him talking about missing his dad, Tony, they're certain he's either way too far into a bit, or the MCU is real somewhere.
Bonus: Peter and one of the Bats meet each other in costume or something, and they both point at the other exclaiming "you're my favorite character!" or something, before they both go silent, realizing what they just said-

Prompt #5
I don’t see enough protagonists starting off as retail workers. It’d be so funny and relatable to open up a book and the first scene is the main character dealing with a difficult customer. The internal monologue of “It’s too early for this. I just clocked in. I don’t get paid enough for this” would strike deeper than any emotional writing could ever do.
The skills they pick up from retail work could help them on their journey. Such as people skills, heavy lifting, making deals, and wielding a trusty box-cutter.
Maybe they are on their way to work when they’re kidnapped and their first thought waking up is: “Crap. I’m late. This’ll be my third write up this month.” And when a mentor tries to recruit them into a mission, the protagonist is like, “Dude, I work at a Safeway. Minimum wage. I am the last person who would want to save the world.”
Or a villain confronts them at work and they just stare at them bleary eyed as they monologue and they’re just like, “Sir, this is a Wendy’s.”
Idk. I work retail and I think it would be funny and interesting to have protagonists who start out as ordinary, minimum wage workers.

I want a DC and Harry Potter crossover with the Marvel Family (Mainly Mary, Freddy, Malik, Billy), Zatanna, Dr Fate (preferably Kent), Constantine, Ex cetera, but have Harry be completely unimportant. Like Harry, Hermione, and Ron are in like their early years when the Marvel Family come to town with a bunch of dc magical community trailing behind casually defeating Voldemort while being completely oblivious to how impressive everything they're doing is to the magical community (bc let's face it, even the most powerful wizards in Harry Potter aren't that impressive in comparison to dc magic but this is especially true when using Dr. Fate, powers of shazam or Zatanna).
Meanwhile the trio is just standing on the sideline like 'I thought only Harry could defeat the dark lord' and the rest of the magic community is freaking out because apparently all these people with godlike powers are considered muggles.

Listen all I'm saying is if we're gonna expand the sandman universe at Netflix, part of me REALLY wants to see books of magic just because of how like aestheticly similar it is to the Other Wizard Property (and also it's good yk?)

Alright this may sound dumb, but a reverse roles au where kdj is the protagonist and yjh is the reader.
This takes place in ways of survival canon and it just happens that in one of yjh's regressions he randomly starts reading a very old, long, discontinued webnovel from before the apocalypse, and it's about a rendom normal dude from earth who got transmigrated and now is trying to live in a very cliché romantic book.
And it's set in a work setup, and it's called something extremely dumb like " 1000 ways to survive as a side character in an embarrassing book". Each chapter is a way to survive according to the mc, the problem is that it ended at the 851st chapter. This becomes a comfort series for yjh.
Somehow yjh ends up In said webnovel. And with nothing to do he decides that might as well help this dumbass of an mc .
And then enters a very concerned kdj wondering what is this tall handsome man that he could write literal paragraphs about his beauty doing following and randomly helping him out. And this was definitely not in the book. Meanwhile yjh is feeling very proud of himself.
