As someone who was a massive fan and still really loves The Fated: ABSOLUTELY agree. It has a LOT of problems you probably don't know you're walking into. They were also all just learning how to play dnd, so it starts out very slow.
Here's the content warnings I'd give to people still interested in listening to it: GRAPHIC depictions of violence. Fantasy racism as a major theme/antagonist. Ableist comments/r slur in the first few episodes. Weird sexualization of the only female PC (Almost entirely by problematic DM, hindsight's 20/20 huh). Weird sex jokes in general, honestly. Probably a lot of other stuff I'm forgetting.
I kinda want to adapt the campaign into a written format, cutting out all the questionable and boring stuff for fans who are interested. Because again, I really do love the thing. People deserve to know what a menace Charlie's first character was.

it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.
