Hello, I wanted to say the reason why I haven't been posting. It's because I am a Christian and I was on this app way too much, I really do enjoy posting about Ronance and things like that because I enjoy the the characters but if it makes me neglect my relationship with God then I'm not going to use it. I would say the thing that made me delete the app was where I saw ppl mocking Christianity on this app. I also saw ppl making fanfics on Ao3 with tags like "Trans Jesus", "Top Jesus Christ (Christianity)", "Bottom Jesus Christ (Christianity)" and just writing disrespectful things like Jesus and Judas having sex or God and Satan being in a relationship. 😭 I personally think normalizing this stuff is weird. They're just digging a bigger hole for themselves. These things aren't gonna be here forever but God and our souls are. I'm not gonna say too much because I don't wanna seem like I'm forcing my religion but yea. Also I'm sorry for anyone who has religious trauma, I honestly never paid attention to that type of stuff but I looked into it. People express God's love the wrong way, and I feel like that's majority of the reason why people aren't religious. But hating it because of what PEOPLE did or say to you, it doesn't make sense. I recently went back on the Steven universe fandom and I'm rewatching the show and everything else...I just find it ridiculous that there's so much discourse and hate on creators and FICTIONAL characters while at the same time people fetishize a literal criminal (yes i mean the Jeffrey Dahmer series)

I'm I the only one who is enjoying the ring of power apart from the fact that it was made by amazon. Like its nowhere near as good as the og trilogy but it has a talented cast, an ok plot and some fantastic cinematography.

I'd have a bachelor's degree for every science I like. I'd try to learn at least 5 languages with varying results. I would learn something "useful" like coding and then follow it up with a ""useless"" degree like art history. I'd be the world record speed run holder for getting every degree possible.

they love it on them they like to wear pieces of your suffering like jewels so that it hangs off their tongue in rapiers. they are allowed to arm-chair diagnose and cherrypick their poisons but you can't ever miss too many showers because that's, like, "fuckken gross?" so anyone mean is a narcissist. so anyone with visual tics is clearly faking it and is so cringe. but they get to scream and hit customer service employees because well, i got overwhelmed.

you keep seeing these posts about how people pleasers are "inherently manipulative" and how it's totally unfair behavior. but you are a people pleaser, you have an ingrained fawn response. in the comments, you have typed and deleted the words just because it is technically true does not make it an empathetic or kind reading of the reaction about one million times. it is technically accurate, after all. you think of catholic guilt, how sometimes you feel bad when doing a good deed because the sense of pride you get from acting kind - that pride is a sin. the word "manipulation" is not without bias or stigma attached to it. many people with the fawn response are direct victims of someone who was malignantly manipulative. calling the victims manipulative too is an unfair and unkind reading of the situation. it would be better and more empathetic to say it is safety-seeking or connection-seeking behavior. yes, it can be toxic. no, in general it is not intended to be toxic. there is no reason to make mentally ill people feel worse for what we undergo.

you type why is everyone so quick to turn on someone showing clear signs of trauma but you already know the fucking answer, so what's the point of bothering. you kind of hate those this is what anxiety looks like! infographics because at this point you're so good at white-knuckling through a severe panic attack that people just think you're stoic. even people who know the situation sometimes comment you just don't seem depressed. and you're not a 9 year old white kid so there's no way you're on the spectrum, you're not obsessed with trains and you were never a good mathematician. okay then.

mental illness is trending. in 2012 tumblr said don't romanticize our symptoms but to be fair tiktok didn't exist yet. there's these series of videos where someone pretends to be "the most boring person on earth" and is just being a normal fucking person, which makes your skin crawl, because that probably means you are boring. your friend reads aloud a profile from tinder - no depressed bitches i fucking hate that mental illness crap. your father says that medication never actually works.

you still haven't told your grandmother that you're in therapy. despite everything (and the fact it's helping): you just don't want her to see you differently.

the crusty punk urge to go to class in the crustiest dustiest outfit because you rEALLY don’t want to look remotely cute and it is 3° outside, but you remember that you have very specific plans for each class in order to manipulate the professors into thinking that you’re better than you are, and the one class that you could ~possibly~ feasibly attend is one where you’re supposed to dress all cutesy and look at the professor with wide eyes and seem very engaged, because he is definitely a raging misogynist and you want to tap into that benevolent sexism that he definitely harbors, (i ~could~ attempt to make him less sexist but i am tired so i will, instead, make the system work for me) so you just don’t go to class

No offense to the actors and actresses themselves but I feel like the Disney Live Action remake casts are gullible. They'll say how excited they are to play a character differently, like how Ariel is African American with Halle Bailey and that's fine but it's when they say "I wish there was that when I was a kid. Things would've been so different. Now I'm given the opportunity to provide that." Or something along those lines.

I'm not sure if Disney is trying to convince them that these movies are targeted at kids but I doubt a kid is going to pick a live action remake over an animation, or at least I wouldn't have. Kids are more than likely going to know who the Little Mermaid is before they see the live action remake, don't let them fool you, these are indeed cash grabs for people who are ALREADY fans of said series and probably already grew up with it.

It's not just TLM though, it's all of them. Even Donald Glover said how important the message was to him in TLK so he wanted to do that for the next generation but again, I don't see kids' first exposure to TLK being THAT ONE. It's fine if it is, there may even be a few but I doubt that's a majority. I've never taken these movies as "carrying on the legacy" because you can still go back to those animations all the same and if they wanted a long lasting effect, why do so many get forgotten? Who mentions the 2016 Jungle Book anymore? They said maybe they'd make a sequel and that was it, it's not in the parks as far as I know, it's not referenced by any Disney media. But not just that, Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, Christopher Robin, Dumbo, heck Pinocchio just came out and it seems like they're throwing it under the rug already, it's like clockwork, they don't care about what they're putting out, just the name attached. And you might argue that they don't mention the ones that have low review scores but that's a MAJORITY of them, why keep pumping them out if they cared about that?

Not that I'm begging for sequels or continous shoved merchandise down my throat but these were never "reboots" or "reinventions" or "revivals" and even if some were, there's no need to do that many all at once, its distracting. It's the audiences that keep them alive and these live action remakes just aren't resonating so to tell your cast otherwise is stupid. Now be the icon you want to be, by all means, but don't let someone convince you that that's what you're going to be just because you're in their movie. They have ulterior motives.
