In this world, there are two pantheons. Separated mainly by their method of Ascension to godhood.
First, there are the primordial gods. These are the ones who simply came to be. Eldest among these is Chaos, the only lone one in a Pantheon of balanced opposites. Next, came Life and after her, Death. Then, with the appearance of sentient beings there was Passion and Logic, however, in their development they leaned fully into their elemental aspects, and so they are known as the gods of Fire and Ice. In the absence of more human representation, mortals cried out to the Universe and begged for gods of their own to set them apart. And the Universe answered. And thus was born the God of Justice and the Goddess of Mercy. So stands the full primordial Pantheon headed by their youngest members Justice and Mercy, for they were most suited to rule.
Then there are the ascended gods. They are a bit more complicated. For, you see, they were once mortals and as such they needed to prove themselves before gaining godhood. Their aspect is determined by their actions and personality during a mortal life, as well as what the Universe thinks would work best. (Heh, universe is a stand in for me the author)
Often, and ascended God is made during times of turmoil when people run out of gods to pray to and turn to the universe itself, which is known for being fickle and impossible to comprehend.
A few of the ascended gods include, Serara: the Lady of Storm and the Hand of Justice, Enrin: the Lord of tactics and first of the war triad, Manisita: Lady of knowledge of things that are and things that were, Keyon: Lord of Prophecy and knower of things that may yet be. Ashani: Lady of Journeys and of Merchants. And many many more of which I can fill a full book of them in their backstories.
However, there's a lot of neat things that I have about many of the pantheon members. They will each get their own post going deeper into the lore.
Also, on a plot note, the ascended gods are the ones tied to the Serif, and can only access the mortal realm while a Serif still reigns. Primordial gods can and do reach the mortal realm when there is no Serif. (This is very important to keep this in mind.)
Fit: She's legit, we can trust her. We can trust her.
Ramon: Would you rather a dad or a mom [for me?]
Fit: Uh- I- no one! No one. Let's- let's get over to Felps' Square, Ramon. [They head to the warp at Spawn, then Fit hesitates] Um, wait- Ramon. [He pauses, briefly looks at the camera, then says in a rush] If I had to choose between the two, it'd be a dad. Alright, let's go. Let's go, let's go.
this is DEFINITELY inspired from that one world's finest issue with clark posing as bruce's bodyguard so they can catch some kidnappers or whatever dfkgjlsd
Love the thought of Leo just casually being well traveled to absurd degrees. Like one day they’re facing their new Big Bad of the year and like, Draxum or whoever says that the key to their fight is located somewhere in, like, Latvia or some place, but no one knows where to start.
Then Leo’s like “oh I know a place” and when asked how the heck he could know of one it smash cuts to Leo falling through the ceiling of said place due to a portal mishap.
Also love the idea of Leo, being as accidentally (and then later, purposefully) well traveled as he is, sometimes taking his family on outings to different places all over, maybe to some new Yokai spots he found along the way.
In these places, Leo 100% lets his bros get scammed by tourist traps.
Zuko was a child when he met Agni. Then, the spirits started coming to him. Eyes hidden in the hallways, voices pleading for help, for recognition, for remembrance.
Zuko could see Agni. He could see the broken remains of a Great Spirit and the empty smiles of amnesiac ghosts.
Something about how Fire & Ice give up on going after Pearl directly, and instead both arrow in on dissing Marina-
Something about, Pearl having no shame at all, outright telling Frye right off that Off the Hook is here to “take control” and then literally talking over Frye’s turn. Frye’s snarking on how Pearl isn’t the boss here and no one’s cheering for her, ignored. How she goes after both Frye and Shiver asking where Frye’s big friend is to help her pass this test, moving right on to saying they’re both just goons making a mess anyway, little fish who should stay in they're bowl, but
that seems to give Frye the idea of hitting back with the “who’s backing you? Imaginary friends?” line… like Marina doesn’t even count as a music partner- or a friend?
Pearl literally yaps about Marina being divine, one of a kind, voice so fine, big mind- raps the lines off her cuff and the heart that's proudly pinned there
And Frye and Shiver go TARGET DETECTED. They lock onto Marina.
Shiver doesn’t bother trying to needle Marina about Pearl, the way their partners were each doing- if Pearl has no shame then at least she DOES still have a weakness, a soft spot, a thing she openly cares about- something they can try riling her up over
(problem: Pearl actually has all the confidence in Marina as a musician, partner, and performer. She's WATCHED Marina be all those things for YEARS now)
In the end Frye and Shiver just rile up the gay feels. Because Marina’s been living with a rapper who LOVES hyping her up even when they’re not on stage- Pearl who said she’d cut a fish for Marina. And if you don’t come to Inkopolis with a lot of self confidence, well then getting some from your girlfriend is fine too
But it’s cute that Pearl’s still so obvious about being Marina's no. 1 fan that Fire & Ice thought they could use it against her XD
my War Thunder forums joke went viral and I've got War Thunder fans explaining why the War Thunder forum joke isn't ACTUALLY accurate and not to put too fine a point on it but of course they did
I feel like we are not realizing the full POTETNIAL of this! Like, instead of being all nice and gentle and 'Ooooh, I'll be so gentle the size difference will barely be noticeable!' NAH, SCREW THAT! Use those giant beautiful lips to blow a gust of wind that frazzles my hair, I'll get revenge by scaring you the next time you open the medicine cabinent! Jump on the bed and send me flying (uhhh, catch me tho ofc ofc...) and i'll hide in your morning coffee. like, the possibilities are ENDLESS, we should definitely be messing around with our giant/tiny friends more often like...
anyways, heres @entomolog-t 's characters from her story Bite Me who perfectly fit this idea (maybe even a little too good... but you should go check it out to find out for yourself!)
PS! Sorry if I didn't portray your characters right (artistically or otherwise) I was more going off of the general vibe of their interactions in a more lighthearted manner, maybe a post-trauma interaction xD?
ponder for a moment, zosanuso with Zoro realizing he likes pet names
Sanji and Usopp get together first. They are very lovey dovey and sappy because Sanji is lovey dovey and sappy and Usopp loves it, gets very swept away with it, and does his best to reciprocate. This shit is practically the bane of Zoro's existence. And that's not even getting into the pet names.
Some time later, he's got the realization that oh, huh, he likes Usopp. And oh, ugh, he likes the Cook too. And he might lament his own feelings about it, but eventually he tells them and then Zoro has two boyfriends.
And then one morning, Usopp comes to breakfast looking incredibly sleepy, and casually gives a "Morning, babe" to Zoro before taking his seat.
And Zoro finds he likes that. He really really likes it. And he's definitely showing it on his face somehow because soon after Sanji is ranting and raving about Zoro being an absolute hypocrite, because how dare he complain all this time about Sanji and Usopp calling each other honey and cher and darling, when he was just as bad as them-
Usopp is more awake now and trying not to laugh, for Zoro's sake. Zoro is very red and keeps trying to interrupt Sanji, but Sanji just talks louder over him. Zoro would start a fight, but Sanji hadn't finished serving breakfast yet and his arms are full of plates so he's forced to suffer.
