The Job (DC x DP)
Danny's grades are in the toilet. He's not going to be working anywhere nice after graduation. College could be on the table but he could be dooming the world if he left Amity Park undefended.
Luckily, there's a place in Amity that's hiring! It pays well, decent benefits, and Danny's basically got a guaranteed spot. The GIW.
The Ghostly Intervention Watch sends a job offer to Danny in response to his resume, not an interview offer. He's a Fenton, after all. He's in. Agent F.
Not only is he in the GIW, Danny's a rising star. Sure, he hasn't managed to successfully detain a ghost (but who has?!) but he is the most accurate shot of all of them, and often finds traces of ectoplasm that others miss. The trails may have always lead his team into dead ends but one day their luck will change!
The GIW is the first line of defence against the dark paranormal forces that threaten their way of life. So the most important agents have to stay in Amity Park even when the invitation is from the Justice League.
However, of their other agents, it's rather obvious who to send to debrief the JLA on the danger. Agent L is great at public speaking, Agent G was actually involved in passing the Anti-Ecto Acts and can advise on all the legalities. And their rising star. Agent F.

Finally Getting Help (pt 3)
first | last | Masterpost | Next
What Tim and Bruce found was completely ridiculous. It really wasn’t hard to find the Doctors Fenton’s website but it was ridiculous! It was outdated and gaudy with animations of cartoony ghosts everywhere. If it hadn’t been for how clear Danny was about his parents' names Tim would have skipped right over it. But when he got past the terrible website design and started reading it his stomach just dropped lower and lower.
The writing was clean and scientific though it couldn’t disguise the malicious delight they took in tearing the creatures they called ‘ghosts’ apart. Whatever these ghosts really were Danny had been internalizing this attitude about Himself for years! They also bragged about their weapons and their government contract. So whether that was true or not Danny hadn’t been lying or delusional, it was his parents. And regardless of what these ghosts actually were it was obvious they were supernatural so RR sent a link to the website to Zatana.
(link)
RR: What do you think?
Tana: Lol is this a joke?
RR: I wish, I know it looks like one but no, this is deadly serious.
Tana: Hang on
Red Robin put down his phone to give Zatana the time to read over the site and looked more into Maddy and Jack Fenton while she did. He found their graduation certificates, and pictures of them in college with what must have been a much younger Vlad. So they were actually doctors of some sort, they had their doctorate, though that didn’t exactly make it any less likely they had gone fully off the rails now.
His phone dinged and he picked it up to see one short message from Zatana.
Tana: I’m coming to the cave.
Tim sighed and put his phone back down, spinning his chair to face B who was hunched over the computer typing furiously. “Zatana is on her way, I asked for her opinion of the Fenton’s research and she must think it’s big.” He said as he dug out a domino mask.
“Hm,” B sounded and went to get his cowl. “Report?”
“The Doctors Fenton are doctors, they got their doctorates though I don’t know in what yet. They’ve been friends with Vlad since university and they certainly at least think they’re studying ghosts. Their website has articles on behaviours and biology, and how to hunt and hurt ghosts. They brag about a government contract.” Tim summarized. “You?”
“The Ghost Investigation Ward does exist and they are a government agency but they only seem to be active in the town of Amity Park and they’re so inept! It wasn’t hard to hack them, they’re trying to sound mysterious and a little dangerous talking about protecting humanity from invasions from other worlds but I don’t think they’re actually that competent,” Batman said with a scowl.
“The only reason we didn’t know about this was because we weren’t looking! And it’s possible Danny is right and they were jamming calls from Amity to the JL, but I have a terrible feeling what actually happened if that the call came through and someone heard them talking about ghosts and rogue government agencies, assumed it was a prank and blocked them,” Bruce said massaging his temples.
“Ah,” Tim said, his heart dropping at how plausible that sounded. Could they have saved Danny before, if they had taken that call seriously.
“And Vlad is the mayor of his town, there are articles about Danny fighting him in public. It seems like everyone knew their relationship was antagonistic at best and No One defended him. The GIW also listed him in their special thanks for helping fund them. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been using them as a tool to threaten and control Danny.” Batman said with cold fury. Tim took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly.
“We weren’t able to protect him, but we will avenge him. And we’ll keep him safe Now,” Tim reminded his father. Privately thinking that as soon as he could he was going to tell Jason about this so they could Really make sure Vlad never came near Danny again. An arrest just wasn’t strong enough for a man like that. He wasn’t going to tell Bruce that though, obviously.
The sound of the Zeta tube interrupted their moment as Zatana arrived, looking slightly more ruffled then she usually did. She must have really rushed here, which was a bit worrying.
“Zatana,” Batman greeted.
“Hello Batman, before we talk I need to check your wards.” She said already walking past them.
“Hm,” Batman sounded, making RR smile a little, how Batman made that sound mean so many different things always sort of amazed him.
“I need to check the ones on your home too. And I’d like to meet the boy you have under your care,” She said briskly.
“How did you know about the boy?” Batman asked gruffly.
“Lucky guess,” she said briskly, her hands glowed as she walked around the cave, making seemingly random gestures as if touching or pulling on invisible threads. None of the bats really understood magic so they left her to it. When she was done they let her up into the manner, she knew their identities already after all and she checked all the wards on the home very thoroughly, occasionally casting spells to reinforce them. They collected Dick and Damian trailing after them curiously as they went as well.
“Alright, can I meet the boy now?” She asked, turning towards Bruce who crossed his arms and puffed out his chest a bit.
“Not till you explain to us what’s going on,” He growled and Zatana looked over the curious stubborn faces surrounding her and sighed.
“Fine,” she allowed, resigned. She rubbed her temples as she looked around for a chair and sunk down into it. “So what the Fentons seem to be referring to as Ghosts are actually denizens of the Infinite Realms, the space in between every world and afterlife. Some of the beings there were once people who died but many aren’t. They’re also known to be very powerful and quite violent though thankfully not particularly interested in the living. The fact that the Government is apparently messing with something like this is very bad news.
“Constantine and I have been keeping half an eye on the situation in Amity Park but they had their own pair of Heroes, Phantom and Red Huntress, who seemed to have the situation well under control so we weren’t all that worried about it. We weren’t tracking the more human elements of the GIW and the Fentons,” She bit her lip and thought for a moment.
“When Tim sent me that website and I was made aware of those, that changed things. What’s worse is the photo the Fentons’ have of their family. Their son… we knew Phantom looked young but ghosts often stay at a younger age than they really are, with how powerful he was we assumed he was Old. But he looks exactly like the Fenton’s son. Did they not notice he was dead or…” She looked around at their faces, apparently getting her answer from their expressions.
“There have been rumours for a long time about a very rare and powerful sort of living dead, humans soaked in the pure energy of the infinite realms resulting in a still living ancient. It’s so rare that people usually think it’s a fairy tale but with the work Phantom’s parents do it makes a sick sort of sense. And what it means is that that boy you have stashed away is basically a baby God and we all have to be very careful.”
There was a heavy silence as they all processed what she was saying. “Are you… sure?” Tim asked, uncertainly.
“I won’t be till I meet him, but I’m as sure as I can be without that at the moment,” she said firmly.
Tim sighed and pulled out his phone. “Cas is with him, I’ll text her to see if she’s up to meeting you. If he’s that powerful we don’t want to push him right?” He asked as he typed out a text to Cas.
“Yes. Like I said he’s been acting as a hero in Amity, he seems like a good kid but I have no doubt in my mind if he’s pushed too far we could have a truly apocalyptic situation on our hands,” She said which made Tim swallow thickly.
His phone dinged and he checked it. “Danny is willing to meet you but he’s really tired so go easy on him and don’t stay long,” Tim relayed her message.
“Alright that’s fine, thank you. Show me the way please,” She requested.
Bruce took over, leaving the way. “We don’t want to overwhelm him, I think only I and Zatana should go in, with Cas still there since he seems to feel safe with her,” Bruce informed his children.
“Alright, just tell us everything soon!” Dick demanded and Bruce’s lips twitched up in just the suggestion of a smile as he nodded to them.
He took off his cowl, he wasn’t in his full uniform anyway and he didn’t want to scare Danny. Besides if he had been a hero even if he clocked Bruce he would understand.
“Hello Danny, it’s a pleasure to meet you, I’m Zatana,” She introduced herself s she followed Bruce in. She would have offered her hand to shake but Danny was half hiding behind Cas sitting on the bed.
“It’s nice to meet you too. What’s with the outfit?” He asked curiously which made her laugh.
“I’m a hero, one of the less known ones. I’m part of Justice League Dark which is their supernatural division along with Constantine and Deadman and a few others. He’s a ghost, but I assure you the government hasn’t been giving him any trouble, probably because they knew they wouldn’t get away with it.”
“So I’m just lucky then,” Danny said with a bitter curl to his lips.
“As a hero, I want to ask, are you Phantom?” She asked rather bluntly.
Bruce shivered as the temperature in the room suddenly dropped a few degrees and Danny’s eyes started to swirl with green as he glared at Zatana who managed to barely react. Batman noticed how her back tensed a bit but it was barely there. “You know?” Danny demanded. “You knew about what was going on in Amity and you didn’t help?!”
“I’m very sorry Danny,” She said genuinely. “We knew something was going on, but we didn’t look closely enough. We thought that you were an older ghost just of someone who died young because of your strength, and it looked like things were under control. Normally our involvement wouldn’t have been appreciated, intruding on someone’s haunt, so we didn’t look any closer. I am so sorry we overlooked you but we’re going to make up for it now I promise.
“I’ve checked and reinforced the wards on the house so nothing should be able to come in uninvited, and I’m going to contact the rest of the JLD. We’re going to go to Amity, we’ll figure this out and deal with it I promise.”
The temperature in the room slowly went back up, Danny was still upset, but he didn’t seem like he was about to snap anymore. While Zatana had been talking Cas had started gently rubbing Danny’s back and that seemed to be helping too. After a moment Danny looked up again and nodded, accepting the help.
“The veil must be very thin there, to let so many ghosts through?” Zatana probed gently.
“It is, but more than that two years ago my parents succeeded in building a portal to what they call the Ghost Zone. This kinda green world of floating islands.
“A portal,” Zatana said flatly, blinking rapidly. “To the Infinite Realms?”
“Ah is that what it’s really called? Ya probably? That’s how everyone’s been getting through. How I got my powers too, the ghosts call me a halfa, but I’m not the only one. Vlad’s one too.”
Batman heard Zatana mutter “Two?” softly, baffled and alarmed but she nodded. Bruce filed that information away too, it seemed Vlad was even more of a threat then he’d first appeared to be.
“Alright, I’ll get as many of the JLD together as I can and we’ll head to Amity. We’ll shut down the portal and deal with this.” She said determinedly.
From the look on Danny’s face he didn’t really believe her, but he nodded again and leaned against Cas. “Good luck I suppose,” he muttered and sighed, rubbing his face.
“Just… tell me if you get in over your heads okay, I’m used to dealing with all this stuff.” God he sounded so tired, the poor kid.
“I will, but don’t worry about us, just take care of yourself okay? This is a good place to be, I promise you won’t have to be alone anymore.” Zatana assured him. She probably had more questions, but it was very obvious that Danny was getting tired.
“Bruce is good dad,” Cas chimed in, speaking up for the first time. It embarrassed Bruce a little but he smiled at them and nodded a little.
“Thank you,” Danny said, his shoulder slumped and his back curled. “Can I go to bed now?”
“Of course Chum,” Bruce agreed, starting to shoo Zatana out of the bedroom with Cas on their heels. When they closed the door behind them Bruce heard the lock click quietly closed behind them. He really hoped that Danny would feel safe enough to sleep well.

Fictober23 Prompt: 24 - "Is it over? Is it really over?"
Fandom: DPxDC
Rating: T
Warnings: Implied menstions of experimentation, and torture
A/N: My brain came up with two options… I went with the sorta angsty one…
They had raided the facility. It had been a plan they had carefully prepared for months now. Batman had gone over all possible scenarios. But it was a needed preparation. They had discovered it too late. Being prepared for ever eventuality was the least they could have done.
The entire Justice League had been horrified when they had discovered this governmental organisation what was committing sanctioned mass genocide of an entire interdimensional race. An Organisation called the GIW, Ghost Investigation Ward or more commonly called Guy's in White. If Doctor Fate, Zatanna and Constantine hadn't found out about them they probably would have never discovered the atrocities their government was committing.
But this had led to a large-scale operation. They started locating any and all locations the GIW possessed and was working on. Tracking any and all Agents that were working for or with them. Every company that was supplying them was looked into deeper until they had every little bit of information they could find.
With all the locations found they then split into teams. Planning a simultaneous strike to all facilities so that one could not warn the other. They would not let a single Agent of this organization escape. They all would be brought to justice.
Batman had not been surprised that the moment his children were clued into the operation, that some of them were ready to go off on their own to do something. Luckily they all were aware enough of the high risks and how many lives would be at risked if even only one of them messed up.
Four months. It had taken four months of thorough planning, of meticulously strategising, and careful preparation. But now everything was ready. Finally after so long the night to strike came. Originally the other heroes wanted to strike at daylight, a tactic to make it as public as possible to also gain the public opinion in their favor.
Batman had disagreed. It was better to strike at dusk or night. When their guard was down to easily overwhelm them. They could make a clear and evidence based statement to the public the next morning throughout all news channels and news times. Superman, as Clark, had already published several papers throughout the months of preparation that would play into their favor.
They had prepared for everything, arresting every Agent, every Scientist, every Guard. Everyone they encountered was knocked out, bound and prepared for transport into arrestment. He did not scowl any of his children when they used more force than necessary, quite frankly if Batman didn't have his own moral code and self control he might not have held back after what he was seeing.
Thad did not mean that he might have hit one or two of these so-called Scientists harder than necessary if they resisted. There were so many cages, so many 'ecto-entities' bound, branded and caged. Batman felt visibly sick when he came across labs with tables stained in green, knowing exactly what that meant after having listened to Doctor Fate's explanations.
They had gone through nearly the entire facility they were in charge of when Superman reported back first. "There was a boy in the deepest part of the facility, bound and hocked up to what appeared to be the facility's energy source. See if you find anyone with similar treatment in your locations. The Boy is rescued, he appears delirious and is pretty much snarling and growling at me but he is in safe hands now."
"Can confirm! A girl was found in my location in the deepest part underground. Same situation as you described. She didn't appear to be conscious, we took her off their system and transferred her to immediate treatment." Wonder Woman chimed in a moment later and Batman lips formed a straight line.
"Same here. It's an older man, face is familiar. He was shortly lucid enough to talk but all he asked about was where the children were. He might be connected to the kids you two found." Flash also reported after a while. Now Batman was more than sure, there were only four big locations aside from several small ones. His was the last one and his stomach sunk even more at the possibility of what he would find in the deepest part of this place.
His prediction was confirmed when he kicked open the door of the last room they hadn't checked yet. Nightwing was by his side, while Red Robin, Red Hood, Black Bat and Robin had hung back to take care of the evacuation of victims as well as arrest of the last GIW workers.
Nightwing let out a string of actual curses.
There in this room was a white haired teen in a ripped NASA shirt and green stained jeans, hooked up to several tubes, bound with silver shining and heavy looking chains to a wall. There was a green strain on the flooring directly below the boy and the green pipes appeared to be pumping more of it from as well as into the teen.
"Get him off the wall!" He instructed hurriedly, checking for the best way to safely unhook the teen. They appeared to be unconscious but with the report from his hero colleagues he wouldn't bet on that too much. The teen might just be too exhausted to actually react to what was happening around him.
"He can't be any older than Red…" He heard his son mutter as he broke the silver metal bindings and Batman couldn't help but agree. He didn't want to even know how long the teen had been here like this. They had been too late, they should have known about this entire things sooner. But at least they weren't too late to save them in particular.
Suddenly the teen stirred, head snapping up. Blazing Lazarus green eyes stared at them and Batman froze, feeling reminded of his second son. The boy didn't say anything, he was just staring at them before, eyes going from his broken bindings to Nightwing, to the unhooked tube in Batman's hand. He saw how the teens eyebrows furrowed slightly.
"You are not with them…" The teens voice cracked from obvious disuse or maybe overuse? He couldn't know for sure. Still he made a sound of agreement before continuing to unhook the last of the tubes.
"We already freed the others, you're the last one." Nightwing was forcing his voice to sound light and friendly. Batman knew this, he could sense the internal rage his son was suppressing. In a way he was glad it was Nightwing with him, his other sons might not have had the same control over themselves in this situation.
"What about Ellie, Dan and the fruitloop?" It took him only a short moment to connect this question to the possible three reported by the other.
"Rescued and in treatment." He answered curtly, removing the last tube while his son broke the last chain and binding. The teen fell forward like a ragdoll, Nightwing instinctively catching him.
"I can't believe it… this isn't a dream…" The white haired kid muttered, eyes going unfocused and Batman worried that the teens system was going into shook. Did he unhook the boy from the tubes too fast?
"Is it over? Is it really over?" The teens started to sound delirious and Batman shared a look with Nightwing. His son nodded as he moved to get a better hold of the teen.
"It is." His son told him voice was going soft. "Rest for now, the next time you wake up you will be free and with Ellie and Dan."
"Don't forget Vlad, he is still a fruitloop but a good one…" the Teen mumbled before finally passing out. Batman gave Nightwing a nod before the other hurried out of this place with the now passed out teen while he reported his similar finding to Superman, Wonder Woman and Flash.
He stood in the now empty room letting his eyes wander over it one last time, checking for any evidence he should keep before deciding to leave too. There was a lot to prepare for, the news, the public statement, the aftercare and treatment of the victims. Batman ignored the fleeting thought of who was going to take in their four main victims, especially the children and teen. Surely his kids wouldn't mind if he provided them a temporary home, right?

It was an ordinary day in the Watchtower. At least by the standards of the Justice League. Which meant that there was some kind of threat to the Earth. Batman was busy trying to establish contact with the Justice League Dark, which disappeared without a trace. The usual stopped when Wonder Woman in full heavy armor called to the meeting.
"Diana, what happened?" Bruce asked. The "trinity", as they were called, were close and had long ago learned from each other the smallest nuances of body language. It might not have been noticeable to others, but Bruce noticed a slight tremor in her hands.
"I thank you all for being my friends and comrades. But as of today, I am resigning from my post in the Justice League." Batman had contingency plans. Everyone knew that. He was just a man who stood among the Gods because he was prepared for any threat they might face. What made it even more unusual was how unprepared he was for these words. "Diana, talk to us. We can help."
"I hope you will" her tone is steal hard. This is not a Diana, thier friend is talking. It's Wonder Woman. Batman scolds himself how unprepared he is to hearing her like that directed to him he really is. "May this sword serve you instead of me." She takes her sword and stabs it into the wall. "Because when I see it again, it will be with the enemy. Find the Prince, Justice League, or you'll find out what it's like to wage war against the Amazons."
"You don't have to do this." "You're wrong, Batman. When I became Wonder Woman, I took an oath that I would always stand for truth and justice." "Like all of us!" "What if the criminals are the USA, Bruce? Will you stand with me against your government? Will you start a war against your own cities in the name of justice?" Silence reigned in the hall. "Find the Prince, Justice League. You have 72 hours before we start the search. That's all I can give you."
[Wonder Woman A-03] said the computer as Diana left the Watch Tower.
Surprisngly, it's Teen Titans that helped with the next part. Their empath, Raven, was able to sense a huge emotional mystical energy release near Jump-City. They found a well protected base, that was surrendered by agents in white costumes. Per protocol, they called the JL for backup. By their channels, they found that the base belonged to Ghost Investigation Ward, a goverment group to search, study and destroy Ghosts. "Not just ghost, but ghosts of Infinite Realms." said Raven, the only magical expert they currently had. Batman doesn't believe in coincedence. The JLD dissapearence, Diana leaving the JL, the amazons war, a huge base with a lot of magic organised by the goverment. It's all connected. He activates his comm. "Diana, we may have a lead."
Batman and his group are escorted to the ward. What he sees inside caugths him off guard. Batman hates being caught off guard. A 3 meter long blue amazon, with 4 arms, flaming purple hair, fully armored and carrying a spear. Diana and her mother stay around the table, studing maps. "Bow before Pandora, patron of Amazons, queen of Acropolys." They do. "What have you found?" "6 hours ago, was discovered a base of operations, lead by goverment group known as Ghost Investigation Ward. It consist of agents in white suits" This piqued Pandora's interest. He was right, this was connected. If 'the Prince' was not there, then they may find where he really is. "You know about them?"
"If my son is there, then you may just have prevented the war against your realm, mortal. It may depend on how much they harmed him and if we will act fast enough."
"The Justice League will be able to extract him and return him to you safely."
"If you think i will trust you to do it by yourselves, you are mistaken, boy. My son has a lot of allies in the Infinte Realms. I will gather them and will make sure that he is safe. Hippolyta, prepare your forces. No one is allowed to escape."
When the rescue started, Batman was caught off guard once again. When Pandora said they had a lot of allies, he thought it will be a couple of dozens. Instead, a couple of hundreds of ghosts were united to march against GIW forces. Snow Yetis, Greek Soldiers, knights, a big blue dragon, a pharaoh leading mummies, a driad controlled plant, a woman in red suit on a hoverboard with guns, amazons, and the missed the JLD. The problems started from the start, when they heard the loud "STOP!!!" on their comms, belonged to the driad. "What's wrong, Sam?" Pharaoh asked. "Blood Blossoms." "This sick sons of the bitches." Batman heard John Constantine swearing. "What is it?" "The base is surronded by Blood Blossoms. This are anti-magic flowers. If anything mystical gets in, it won't get out. B, they grow only if they are fertilizer with ashes of innocent people burned alive. To have so much to surrend the miles of the base..." Batman now understood what John meant. "What can we do? Should we break the circle?" "To late for that. The only option is to completly destroy every flower. Burn everything." "Flash, Superman, you heard him. Make it quick." "Your assessment is incorrect, Constantine. Demons are not affected by Blood Blossoms," Raven said over the comm. "Raven, the extraction is on you. Get the Prince out of there. J.L. will distract him."
In the end, the united army forces of ghosts and JL was able to capture every GIW agent, even if it was harder than they first anticipated. GIW was able to gather a lot of different weapons, capable to harm even more durable members of the united forces. Once Raven was able to get to the Prince with her emphath and going through walls abilities, both the Prince and Raven dissapeared. Apparently, healed by Raven, the Prince was able to open the portal to Infinite Realms. This satisfied Pandora and amazons, which was a relief. With the promise to punish and disband the GIW and anti-ecto acts, the war was prevented. Ghosts and amazons retreated, leaving only members of thenJL to take care of arrested and wounded. Now was the hard part for them. Make the goverment admit that they fucked up and officialy imprison all GIW agents for good.
A couple of days later, a green portal opened in the Watch Tower. This caused an alarm. The whole JL was ready to fight whoever tried to attack them. Only to meet a white haired teenager. "Uhm, hye". Flash was the first to speak "Uhm, buddy, i hope you won't take it the wrong way, but what are you doing here? It's not exactly an open place." "Uhm, yeah, i get it. I just wanted to say thank you. For helping with Guys in White and stuff." "No problem, bud. We are the Justice League. That's what we do. But how are you connected to it?" This was answered by Batman. "He is Danny Phantom. A small town hero from Amity Park. One of the paranormal heroes, that dissapeared with the kidnapped Prince"
This put a smile on teens face. "Good to know you know about me. Anyway, thanks for GIW. Though, they were just pawns. The Observants used them in an attempt to overthrown me. Thankfully, now i can legally throw them out."
"Wait, you mean, YOU are the Prince?!" Flash exclaimed. "Yeah, but please, just call me Danny. I don't need any pompeus names or anything like that." Batman took initiative. "Apologies, Danny. But we were not aware that we were rescuing a child. We are sorry that we came so late."
Danny stared in his eyes, like he was trying to search his soul, before shrugging off. "Eh, it's fine. I have learned to be content with what I have. Surprisingly, this opens up many opportunities to enjoy what you have, instead of trying to get what is lost." And something about that rubbed Bruce the wrong way. Such lesson couldn't came lightly. "So, now that the GIW is gone, i think it's time to return your friends." On that, Raven and Wonder Woman came from the portal. "Hey, Diana. You call sometimes, since we are apparently cousins, or something like that." "I will Danny, don't fret."
"I think the Titans will be glad to meet you and your friends." said Raven. "Really? Huh, maybe. It's nice to meet the big superheroes." "We are always opened for friends." She said with a small smile.

Once again free for anyone to use just credit me loves.
It's AU time
The People in Amity can only see ghosts because of their exposure to ectoplasm. Everyone thinks the town is collectively suffering from mass hysteria. No one can explain why. The claim of ghostly activity from almost all of its residents leaves experts baffled. The town even has self-proclaimed 'ghost hunters.'
Despite having no explanation as to what is causing it there was no doubt that the people of Amity Park were suffering from mass hallucinations. At least that was the thought of the Justice League and any outsider of Amity. Then after literal years there was finally a ghost spotted in Amity. Seen by someone other than the locals. Videos showed him destroying the town. Although all reports say he fought off the ghost despite no other "ghost" being spotted. The justice league might have a lead on what the hell was happening in Amity and its residents.
Basically, the JL thinks Danny the cause of mass hallucination /hysteria in Amity because outsiders can't see the ghost he is fighting. (As a halfa Danny is visible to outsiders.)
"But Hidden what about the GIW?" I hear you asking. That's the best part. Instead of ghost hunters, the GIW is there to study the people of Amity and the Fentons, in particular. To try and find out why it's happening. They use the "Ghost Investigation ward" as a cover to get close to/ talk to the locals. They show up to attacks to observe the people. I can only imagine them pulling Danny out of class to talk to him like:
Danny glared at the woman sitting across from him. 'Ghost Investigation ward' his ass. He didn't buy that the government believed his town was infested with ghosts for one second.
As if she was unaffected by his glare she spoke confidently.
"So, does your whole family see ghosts, Daniel?" Danny bit back his sarcastic response. He knows they think his family is crazy but they could be less obvious about it! Instead, he settled on saying.
"Everyone sees ghosts around here."
"Yes, but not everyone makes a career out of hunting them. Of studying them" she quickly cut in. Not taking then the open-ended response for an answer.
"You are talking to the wrong Fenton. That's my parents, I for one want to be an astronaut."
--
Or showing up to the Fenton house and Maddie and Jack showing them their lab. Lots of fun with that last little part.

The Curse of Sight
Summary: When Wes Weston meets Time Drake-Wayne, the dots start connecting. And those dots form a Bat.

[Part 2]
When Wes Weston's parents divorced, they decided that he should stay with his dad in Amity Park. After all, small town Amity is much safer than big city Gotham, where his mother was moving in order to accept a promotion with Wayne Enterprises. Wes, in order to still see his mom, would visit her in Gotham every summer and every other holiday.
Of course, Amity soon became more dangerous than Gotham could even dream of thanks to the hell portal in the Fenton's basement that killed and bore Phantom, but whatever. No one ever listened to Wes anyway, and he learned to shut his mouth when Sam Manson shoved him against the lockers and asked him what he thought would happen to Danny Fenton if the Ghost Investigation Ward ever believed his “crazy as shit imagination.”
She was still playing the "Wes is crazy" game, even when defending her boyfriend.
Still, she was right. Danny was safer without him trying to convince Amity's negligent populace that Danny was Phantom. (Even if it absolutely drove him mad that no one but him was capable of making the connection between Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom.) So he shut up. He deleted his conspiracy theory blog and even asked Tucker Foley to wipe all remnants of its existence from the internet, a request which his classmate happily obliged. He even said, "I'm glad you're moving on from this whole Fenton-Phantom obsession, Wes."
Professional gaslighters, the lot of them.
So yes, Wes had thoroughly given up on the superhero ID evidence schemes by the time he left to visit his mom after his freshman year of high school. He had made peace with it and settled back into reading mystery novels or movies and solving the case before the protagonists in place of proving Phantom’s ID.
When he came to Gotham, he had to get a new library card so he could keep up with his mystery novel hyperfixation. He happens to take just a little too long in the library, so by the time he has a nice stack of books to check out, it's dark outside.
Great, walking back to my mother's apartment in the dark in Gotham. Seems super safe.
Well, Gotham is no Amity, right?
So he marches on and tries not to be too resigned when he's inevitably yanked into an alleyway even though the apartment is only three blocks from the library.
Classic.
It's just a man with a gun, his face obscured with a hood and a red bandana. He's literally nothing compared to Pariah Dark or Undergrowth or Dr. Spectra or even the fucking Box Ghost.
"Let me guess," he says. "You want any cash I have, right?"
"Kid, shut the hell up and fork over your money," says the man, and Wes sighs. The mugger didn't even wave around his gun or give an impassioned speech about stealing someone's pelt.
"Original," Wes intones. "But I'm fifteen. And everyone knows young people don't carry cash anymore. I guess I could give you my mom's emergency credit card that she gave me, but she did say it was for emergencies only, so."
The man just stares at him. Wes shuffles uncomfortably.
"Oh! And I could just cancel the card before you use it," Wes adds into the silence.
"You don't consider being held at gunpoint an emergency?" the mugger finally asks, looking uncertain.
"Should I?" Wes wonders aloud. Sam had been much scarier when she threatened him.
"You said you're fifteen? And you don't have a Gothamite accent?" the man offers his reasoning, as if it's any kind of logical. He'd fit in well in Amity for that trait alone.
"Gothamites always think they're so superior." He has to roll his eyes. "Guns aren't that scary. You know what is scary? Your whole town being dragged into the dimension of death for three days. This is nothing. This city is nothing." You are nothing. He knows better than to say that last part, though;
"Christ, kid, you're crazy." The man shook his head and pulled the hammer of his gun back. "Just-- give me the watch you're wearing."
Wes sighs again, "Whatever, I'm not fighting for it." It was literally just a cheap Walmart watch. But just as he goes to unlatch the watch from his wrist, a caped vigilante swings down from the rooftops and kicks the mugger straight into the pavement.
The mugger doesn't get back up.
"Thanks, Red Robin," Wes dutifully says, even though he's pretty sure the man was A) not really that much of a threat, and B) going to have serious brain trauma now.
"It's no problem," the vigilante says. "You're a little young to be out this late, though."
Well, that's rude. It's only 7:00 pm. The only reason it's dark at all is thanks to Gotham's pollution problem. (Maybe they should let Poison Ivy just go fucking feral, like Sam suggests.)
Wes doesn't say that. Instead he says: "Didn't you start crime fighting when you were, like, twelve?"
Red Robin sputters, but Wes continues, "And the first Robin couldn't have been more than nine. I have never picked a fight with hardened criminals." Do ghosts count as criminals? Surely not. What right does Wes have to dictate the morals of being from a completely different dimension? "So I think I'm doing better than you in the safety department, no offense."
Well, doing better in Gotham. But the Justice League doesn't need to know about Amity Park, so he'll leave that part out.
"I-- just--" Red Robin struggles for a second, and then clears his throat. "Why don't I escort you home?"
"I'm two blocks away, but thanks. And thanks again for the---" he waves to the unconscious mugger. Definitely brain damaged.
"Yeah, no problem." And then he grapples away.
Phantom's much cooler. Not that he'll ever say that in front of Danny, Sam, or Tucker. Or anyone from Amity.
He makes it safely home, even if he does pretend to not notice the Bat stalking him from above. And of course, once he recounts his tale to his mother, she freaks out that he'd been nearly mugged, and tries to ban him from doing anything in Gotham at all.
"Mom, I can't just stay inside the house all day. I refuse to spend my whole summer on Netflix." He wants to at least go sightseeing.
Her mouth goes into a thin line and her eyes are as fiery as her red hair.
"Fine," she says. "Then you can get a job."
His stomach drops, "What?"
"A job. My floor needs a new intern, and I found just the perfect person."
"No, Mom, you can't," he pleads. "A Wayne Enterprises job? I'll be known as a nepo-baby for life!"
"Well, too bad. You should have thought of that before being mugged."
"Almost mugged, Mom! Almost! Red Robin was there!" When he sees that this point is getting him nowhere, he switches tactics, "Mom, the Waynes are held hostage, like, every other week! Do you really want me in closer proximity to them?"
She lifts her chin and sniffs, "I'll be there to watch out for you. And an intern won't have any reason to be next to a Wayne, anyway."
He groans, "Mom, please. It's my summer vacation!"
"And you're my son. Discussion over. You start in two days."
He groans again, "Do I at least get paid? Or is Brucie Wayne like every other rich white dude out there?"
"Wes, sweetie, you're white--"
"But not rich," he grumbles.
"But yes, you'll be paid. Every position with Wayne Enterprises is paid."
He crosses his arms, "At least there's that, I guess."
His mom walks to him to hug him and kiss his forehead.
"I'll handle the paperwork tomorrow. Don't worry, you'll love it there!"
Well, spoiler alert: he doesn't.
He's basically a go-fer, fetching paper or ink or photos or files and most usually, lunch from across the street or donuts or coffee. Especially coffee. And his mom's coworkers kinda suck because hey, the Wayne's executive PR manager just hired her own kid for a coveted Wayne internship. No one likes the idea of someone being here who doesn't deserve it. So he is really sent on the most stupid, tedious errands possible for an intern.
He called it: he's the resident nepo-baby, beaten only by Brucie Wayne's very own brood of nepo-babies.
Suddenly, just letting that mugger fill him with hot lead doesn't look so bad. Maybe he would have become a ghost! Haunting Danny would have been fun. Or Ember and the others of her nature make it look fun, anyway.
The Fenton thermos part would probably be uncomfortable, though.
"This sucks," Wes mutters to himself, balancing three carrying cartons of Batbucks (Gotham's stupid parody of Starbucks since they have to be special and not like other girls in every aspect possible) coffee with just two arms, staring helplessly at the elevator call button in front of him.
"Need an assist?" calls a familiar voice, though Wes can't place from where.
"Yes, please!" Wes says gratefully, looking up at a face with blue eyes, black hair, and a familiar jawline.
Wait a second.
"Here, I'll get that for you," says the man, who is really more like a teenager, since it's goddamn Timothy Drake-Wayne, co-CEO of Wayne Enterprises at just seventeen years old. "Going up, I assume?" he gives a charming laugh as he presses the up button, the kind one practices to perfection to ace media interviews and entertain the wealthy elite at galas.
"Yes, thank you, sir," Wes says, and takes the time to really study Drake-Wayne's eyes. And sure enough, he can recognize makeup covering up purple eyebags, just like he could on Fenton.
No. Please, Lord, I'll go back to church. Just don't let it be true.
"Yeah, no problem!" Drake-Wayne says, which really just seals the deal. Wes quietly dies inside, and also curses God. "I'm glad to be of service! Interns doing coffee runs really are doing God's work. And there's no need to call me sir. Tim will do just fine."
"Right... Tim," Wes says uncertainly. He kind of wants the elevator doors to open up and reveal a pitch black hole to drop into, but when the bell rings and the doors slide open, it's just the same ol' regular elevator it's always been. Damn.
So. The boss of this whole entire company is Red Robin. Makes sense, seems legit. He figured out that Plasmius was the mayor of Amity, too, didn't he? So why shouldn't all billionaires be playing dress up and fight crime or be the crime? What's stopping them all, really, when wealth is a superpower all on its own?
Wait, fuck. So. If Tim started out as a Robin when he was twelve-ish. And apparently billionaires are playing dress up. Then doesn't that mean...?
Oh, God. Couldn't he go one season without figuring out some superpowered person's secret identity? Is that too much to ask?
And of course, after figuring Tim and goddamn Brucie Wayne out, it's not so hard to see the correlations between the introduction of every other Wayne brat to the debut of each Robin.
He shakily steps into the elevator, "And how do you normally take your coffee?"
"With the maximum amount of espresso the barista can legally give me," is Tim's immediate answer.
Just like Danny.
And even worse, Tim steps into the elevator after him.
"What floor?" he asks, and Wes feels stupid. Obviously he was going to come in: why offer help at all if he wasn't going to push the floor button for Wes?"
"Uh, 73," Wes says.
Tim nods and presses the according number, and then takes one of the cartons from Wes as the doors closed.
Hopefully, any nerves that Wes is showing can be played off as the nerves an intern would get when they somehow get stuck with the Actual Big Boss™ , and then said Boss™ tries to take the shit they're carrying.
"Uh, you don't have to do that," Wes says nervously. "I can carry them all, really!"
"Don't be silly," the literal co-CEO of his workplace says, as if Wes is in some fucked up Wattpad fic. "Again, where would any of us be without the ones who bring us coffee?"
"In bed?" Wes offers nervously. "Sleeping?"
Tim laughs, but his smile looks more like a smirk, "I guess you're right!"
"But seriously, I can carry the coffee. It's my job. And it'll look weird to everyone if they see the CEO helping me do my job."
"It's no trouble!" Tim insists, and then emphasizes his point by stealing the second carton in Wes's hands. "See? And my employees will be glad to see that I value every employee and am always willing to help out!"
Haha yeah, thought Wes. Too bad they'll never know just how much you help out, right?
Finally, the elevator dings, and Wes is released from one prison to another.
Thanks to the normal chaos of working at Wayne Enterprises, no one immediately notices that the co-CEO is carrying the bulk of the load. Instead, they all hone in on the scent of coffee, and they lunge.
"Thanks, Weston!" the few who are clear-minded enough to remember manners manage to say, even as most of them take their orders from a black haired wunderkind instead of a redheaded conspiracy theorist with the curse of Cassandra.
"Of course," Wes says nervously, and then finally some recognition starts sparking in the coffee-hungry eyes of exhausted PR employees who are always trying to handle some wacky Wayne hijinks.
"You're Weston," says his mom's assistant, Jade, pointing at Wes, and then slowly pointing to Tim, "and you're.... Oh, Mr. Drake-Wayne! Here, let me get that for you!" She yanks the empty cartons out of Tim's hands and shoved them into Wes's. Luckily, his carrying carton had been emptied, too, so he doesn’t get coffee spilled all over him and the floor.  "Here, Weston, go dispose of these! Why were you making Mr. Drake-Wayne carry them? It's your job to get coffee, not our CEO's! He has better things to do. In fact, he probably needs to speak to Ms. Rolland."
Ms. Rolland as in his mother, who went back to her maiden name after the divorce.
"Now hold on," says Tim, his eyes alight with anger. "I offered to help Weston out, and I have no need to speak with Penny. I was just helping out one of my employees."
"Oh," says Jade, taking a step back. "Of- of course, sir! Weston, here, I'll take these cartons back. And sir, it's very kind of you to help out."
"I try," Tim says dryly. Wes notices he doesn't tell Jade to not call him sir. "You should probably get back to work."
"Of course, sir." And with the cartons in her hands, she scurries off in the direction of his mom's office, where she'll probably complain about how her kid made Jade look like a fool in front of the Actual Big Boss™.
"Uh, thanks," he tells Tim. "But you really didn't have to help me. It is my job, after all." Unwilling or not.
"It's no problem!" Tim repeats, and Wes wants to bang his head into a wall. "And hey, next time you do a coffee run, forget the others and just grab my order." His words are accompanied by a wink, and Wes is pretty sure it's supposed to be weird rich people humor, so he laughs, and pretends his heart isn’t beating into his ears.
"As much espresso as possible," he plays along, and Tim grins, pressing the call button for the elevator. It hasn't been summoned to another floor, so it opens right back up.
"Have a good day, Weston."
"It's just Wes, really," he corrects, and Tim smiles again.
"Wes," he says, and the elevator doors slide shut.
Cool cool cool. So now he just has to survive two months in Gotham while knowing the entire Batclan’s secret identities.
Cool cool cool cool cool cool....

Black Cat Au part 5
1. The cats usually go out of thier way to avoid Batman. At first they were afraid of him getting thier hands on thier DNA and finding out they weren't fully human, but then they just kept doing it because they knew it bothered him for some reason.
That and he hated seeing the marks and gouges left behind from thier claws after they run up the buildings with them and they didn't want him to lecture them again.
2. The bats need a distraction so Kitty runs over to some street performers/musicians and ask them for thier help. He sings the punk version of Everytime We Touch with a hint of his ghost powers. It works like a charm and a crowd quickly gathers around.
Kitty leaves thousands of dollars worth of jewels in each performers instrument case and walks away casually as thier eyes bug out.
3. In my original imaginings of Black Cat (and how I still view him) Dannys outfit is a copy of Catwomans jumpsuit/ bodysuit with a spare smaller whip wrapped around his waist and acting as a tail, hence the name Black Cat. Alley tried her best but sadly she couldn't get him to wear the open chest version of the bodysuit. (Which i cannot find a reference picture of for the life of me)
"Theres no way I could pull that off."
"Bro, everyone would be able to pull that off" ;)
Cue kitty's red faced sputtering and Catwoman mentioning she wanted grandkittens and Danny firing back with "Deal with the kids you have now!"
In this household we gang up on Black Cat.
4. Robin had just chased a criminal into an abandoned apartment building and took them down. As he was about to finish securing the thug with rope he spotted something glowey and purple out of the corner of his eye. He notified Oracle through the coms and went to investigate only to find a...door? It was completely identical to all the doors around it aside from its color and glowyness. Upon opening it however he came face to face with the Ghost Zone. The bats explored it for a bit before they returned home. The next day the door was normal and no longer lead to a swirly green goo dimension.
5. Danny seemed really worried/distressed when Damian told the purple door story to him at the flower shop and he had a hunch that he knew more than he was saying. But mostly he was feeling protective. What was making his flowerboy so scared and how quickly can he chop it into tiny pieces?
6. Black Cat has a weird reaction to Blood Blossoms and Batman takes note. He discretely starts testing Kitty for other weaknesses to supernatural wards. All others come back negative. Batman eventually chalks it up to an allergy and moves on.
7. Danny eventually tells Damian about Phantom after they land in a time sensitive situation they can't get out of without the use of his powers. He of course swears him to secrecy.
8. Batman accuses Black Cat to be a League assassin sent to infiltrate the batfam and gain thier trust. Kitty was genuinely surprised about assassins being a thing around here. The batfam apologized for Batmans conspiracy theories and Kitty shrugged it off, saying its not the first time he'd been accused of being something he's not and he doubts it'll be the last.
9. If Kitty gets kidnapped after he and Robin start dating he'll start singing the chorus of My Boyfriend's Back to taunt the villian right before Robin appears to beat the stuffing out of them. Bonus if its Skulker and after Kitty reveals Phantom to him, so Damian already knows everything and has tools Kitty made to fight supernatural beings with.
Skulker learns to fear Robin that day.
10. The cats decided they didn't like the pictures on thier wanted posters so they broke into the police commissioners office and personally handed him pictures they took of themselves doing the nya cat pose.
Gordon just puffed on his pipe as the teens jumped out a window to escape, "Kids these days..."
I told myself I wasn't doing more Black Cat stuff but then people made fan art so here I am with more.

SHOT BY SHOT LET'S GO PT 1
Tumblr media
Okay so first we have the infamous ghost lamp. I absolutely love the design, it has such an otherworldly yet steam punky vibe, @vryfmi did a great post on the use of brutalist architecture on the show, which I encourage everyone to read!
Tumblr media
This seems to be Lucy travelling on the train to London after the incident with Jacobs'. It seems like she is either drawing (which would be fantastic, I hope we see artist! Lucy) or looking through newspapers for potential jobs.
Tumblr media
Shot from the teaser! Annie Ward plotline here we come!
Tumblr media
Lucy at Kings Cross arriving in London for the first time? I've noticed Lucy's colour in the series primarily, or almost exclusively, seems to be blue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have a feeling this woman is the one talking at the start of the trailer: "It's terrible the world's come to this...I feel sorry for your generation." She appears to have noticed Lucy in agent gear, perhaps looking a little lost and forlorn.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lucy reading the advertisement! Interesting design for the agency's name.
Tumblr media
If you need me, I'll be at 35 Portland Row. Honestly looks EXACTLY how I always pictured it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lucy and George's first interaction <3 <3 <3
Tumblr media
Looks like this is the sitting room? I love the cluttered nature of Portland Row; is that a TV I see in the background? What happened to "To think some people just watch TV" Lockwood?
Tumblr media
George my beloved
Tumblr media
Can't wait to see them break a gourd <3
Kudos to the props/design team, it's actually eerie how similar it looks to the way I always imagined!
Tumblr media
Judging by the background, specifically the columns, this looks to be Kensal Green, Lucy and Lockwood seem to be kicking down the door to the chapel in order to rescue George and they look like they are about to kick some serious ass as well!
Tumblr media
Lucy and Lockwood waiting to go into the Hope’s house? I remember as they were waiting, Lucy saw movement in the window and presumed the family to be home, only for the daughter to arrive straight after.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meeting Annie Ward. This seems to play out different from the book in which Lucy had to call gently out for Lockwood so as not to disturb her. They seem to instead find her together in this scene. Although we do have a shot of Lucy facing her alone.
Tumblr media
How I'm going to look tomorrow morning after staying up analysing the trailer
Tumblr media
Lucy and Lockwood in the Hope’s?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know what time it is? Arson time.
Tumblr media
Lucy and Lockwood putting the company into serious debt.
Tumblr media
The man, the myth, the legend. Montague Barnes looking mighty fine if I do say so myself. He looks extremely done with everyone, A+. He is with Kipps here, most likely investigating the Bone Mirror case.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Couples who do arson together, stay together. I love how they are just standing around in that second shot, taking in just how terribly they've screwed everything up, the vibes are immaculate.
Tumblr media
Talented. Brilliant. Incredible. Amazing. Show stopping. Spectacular.

Well, that's it for the lab investigation. Not sure what else we can even look into. The crime scene in the hall should be just to our left, so maybe we can try and piece that together?
Tumblr media
Oh, my dude! You came! I was starting to worry we'd have to conduct this whole investigation without you!
Not that it matters. We'll see you in the Mystery Labyrinth and you won't remember anything you learn here anyway.
Tumblr media
He's lying. I'm sure of it. He's here about Shinigami. This is an opportunity for us to talk, away from prying ears, but I think he's having trouble working up the nerve to broach that subject.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or he came here to slit my throat with that box cutter! Is this it? Is this Vivia's moment to strike? Can he strike as long as we're both ghosts?
Tumblr media
Loaded question. He's said a few times that some truths are best left undiscovered. And we know he has it out for the Book of Death.
He's asking, in veiled terms, if we intend to condemn another soul to the Mystery Labyrinth. This is tense.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As always, Yuma is terrible at reading the tone of conversation. Just. The worst.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This feels like a momentous question. This feels heavy. Getting a whole-ass Matrix vibe from the fact that he's even asking this. I feel like this is going to have downstream implications for our entire understanding of the setting. Or something.
Kodaka likes to find some clever way to pull the rug out from under the audience in chapters 5 and 6. This feels like Vivia hinting at the rug-pull.
Tumblr media
He's saying that you need to re-examine how you define "helping" people. Your insatiable quest for the truth has a body count attached to it. About half of whom didn't deserve what happened to them.
Is the truth worth all of this blood?
Tumblr media
He is talking so hard around the central issue without coming right out and saying it.
Tumblr media
He is definitely hinting at the inevitable rug-pull.
(What if we're all homunculi? I dunno, just spitballing.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aww, thanks, man. I think the world of you too. I broke a man's nose with the binder of a book for you.
Yeah, those bloodstains weren't already there when I got it. We're close enough pals that I feel comfortable copping to that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is talking about Shinigami. Yuma is so bad at reading the tone of conversations!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BOX CUTTER! YES. He was able to bring it with him into his ghost form! He's going to slit my throat and then report back to everyone that I mysteriously died while astral projecting. It is a mystery.
Tumblr media
Oh. So. What, then? This is a purely symbolic gesture?
Tumblr media
Okay but why tell me about it, though? If you're planning to wake up and stab me to death in the physical world, you could go do that without warning me first.
Tumblr media
Ohhh, he's telling me because it's an empty threat. He's using the promise of it to try and coerce me into quitting this blood-drenched road I'm on. Gotcha.
Honestly, I feel Vivia in all of this. 8 lives have been claimed by the Book of Death in the short time we've been here, and he seems worried about apocalyptic potential arising from it. So far as he's concerned, this is the Secret of Kanai Ward right here, or at least close to it in destructive capability.
Tumblr media
I know we're going to win out on this in the end. But I also feel confident that Vivia's position will be vindicated, and probably all of our buddy-pals will be killed in the process. We're going to win. But. Vivia's probably right at least to some degree.
Tumblr media
Vivia shambles off down the hallway at a relative speed of tar. A brisk jogging pace could overtake him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is. Is that Yakou? Oh, shit, is Yakou here with us!? That. Would mean.
"We need to get out of here so that we can stabilize Yakou" is no longer on the priorities list.
Tumblr media
Look at what you did, Vivia! I told you to stay with Yakou so you could cram his soul back into his body if something like this happens! This is on you, man!
T_T To be honest, I didn't think we were going to get him out alive. But I thought it'd at least take until the end of the chapter before he died. Maybe he'd regain consciousness to give us all one last pep talk where he finally gets to sound like a true leader after all.
...
Which. I guess. In a manner of speaking. Is exactly what happened just now. Huh.

"Since Kaito told me such a wild story yesterday, I want to hear one from you too, Little Koko!" *ichi is as excited as ever as he rests against the side of yuta's bed, a few unread manga scattered around him*
"I'm sure you have lots of amazing adventures, especially since you're a super smart detective! Even if it's something small, I wouldn't mind hearing it! I want to know some of the crazy things you've seen!"
"Hm? A wild story from me?" Yuta looks up from one of the manga books he was reading and towards his uncle in surprise! "E-Ehehe, thank you. Y... Yeah, I guess you could say that. And "crazy" is putting it lightly, frankly. Let's see... oh, I suppose I could tell you some of the amazing abilities I was able to use during cases, thanks to my friends from Chief's Agency assisting me."
"Have I ever told you about Fortes, uncle? They are special abilities that some Master Detectives have. Mine is called Coalescence. Basically, after being given permission by a Forte haver to borrow their ability, I hold their hand to activate that power. For one of my first Kanai Ward cases where we had to solve several locked room mysteries around town, one of my detective partners had an ability where you can literally see the state of a crime scene in the past! It was very helpful in collecting clues and evidence that otherwise would have been gone."
"Then for another case where I was basically like a spy like Uncle Phanty, one of my other partners has an ability where he can disguise himself, and so for us to be able to investigate inside of an all-girl's high school, w-we... disguised ourselves as a high school girl, me, and a teacher; him. It was pretty embarrassing, aha..."
"My third case was probably the craziest of all, with having to defuse bombs in several different areas throughout the city, being chased around by Peacekeepers, and eventually: an entire district literally flooded from the water bank pipes being destroyed! We had to travel through all that with a boat and everything.... and my partner who helped me there, had the ability to rewind time several seconds back, literally!"
"And then when exploring the city's gigantic lab, the one I investigated with has an ability where you can practically turn yourself into a ghost, while your real body sleeps. E-Even for me, it's still so unbelievable when that happened.... but yeah, it really goes to show just how amazing Fortes are, huh? And that I can borrow their abilities if they let me. If using RPG terms, I guess it's like my own special magic power? Ah, and speaking of which... out of all my detective partners and friends, I have one special one who was by my side through it all. She... um...doesn't exactly live where you can easily visit her, but if you two could meet... I know you'd get along wonderfully. She's a big Dragon Quest fan like you are! And while always loves to drive me crazy, I wouldn't replace herself with anything else in the world. She... is the reason I was even able to go on those wild 'adventures' through Kanai Ward like I did. I owe her a lot."
Tumblr media
("Aww, Master~!") Blushing, Shinigami brushes up against him, making the Koko chuckle!
Then realizing how long he's been going on, his cheeks turn just the slightest red as he scratches his cheek~ "O-Oh man, sorry, I didn't mean to ramble on so much! I know a lot of this sounds insane, even compared to Kaito's adventures, but it was thanks to everyone helping me, that I was even able to solve such bizarre cases. Nowadays, I do a lot more normal cases ever since leaving that city, which I'm definitely not complaining about. But it'd be nice to see all my friends I met there, again, sometime... Thanks for listening, Uncle Ichiban! I hope I was able to meet your expectations and tell you some exiting things!"

Aunty, I like hearing from you because I like you, alright? Anyways, I never watched Danny phantom growing up. My parents thought it was demonic... but yeah. I'm happy it brings you joy. What is the series even about? Sincerely, a wolf.
The series focuses on Danny Fenton a boy who has Ghost hunting mad scientist for parents. His parents built a portal into the 'ghost dimension' (also known as the infinite realms) but the portal doesn't work.
Danny's friends Sam (goth girl social activist and ultra recycled vegetarian) and Tucker (tech nerd who is a carnivor) want to explore the parent's lab (which is in the basement of Danny's home) and while doing so see the portal. Sam convinces Danny to go into the inactive portal and pose for a picture.
While in the portal he trips on some wires and hits the internal on button and the portal activates with him inside. Which essentially kills Danny. But due to the flood of ectoplasm rather then staying dead he comes back. He is now half Ghost, something they call a halfa (dumb name I know) and with it comes a bunch of powers and a ghost form he can take at anytime. It's Danny but inverted colors.
Now that the portal is working a bunch of Ghost start slipping out of it into the mortal plane and after they attack his friends Danny takes it upon himself to become a ghost hunting vigilante with a catch and release into the ghost zone policy.
The show focuses on Danny and his friends lives as Danny learns to control his powers, juggle his school life, family life, and trying to keep his vigilante self secret. Which is a struggle because his parents are unknowingly hunting him in his other form. While most of their inventions don't work on occasionally they make something that does; those things *can* hurt him. But he can usually manage safely with the help of his friends and later his older sister who stumbles on the secret.
The show is a lot of shenanigans and as the series continues gets more complex. Like when the government issues an anti-eco acts (all Ghost and ghost like being Aka liminals are classified as not human and to be hunted down and experimented on) and an introduction of the ghost investigation ward. Or as everyone calls them the guys in white. Because they wear full white suits and act like the men in black rip offs. Though MiB doesn't exist there.
He also has a cast of regularly returning villains, some of which slowly kinda become friends but still fight him and cause chaos.
Then there is Vlad Masters which is a *huge* plot point that I can expand on but the tldr is he was friends with Danny's parents in collage and a smaller but similar accident happened to him as Dany just not as serious. He's obsessed with Danny's mom (Maddie) and hates his Dad (Jack) and plans to steal Maddie from Jack. But he plans on using Fanny and Jaz to do is by winning them over. The fact he too is a halfa is revealed and he and Danny fight. Vlad becomes obsessed with the idea of becoming Danny's new father for a few reasons: they are the only two beings like them to exist, scorn Jack, and with Danny's help win his mother and sister over. When Danny refuses he starts trying to kill Jack and Danny struggles to fight him off and again keep his identity a secret.
Meanwhile Danny's parents have *no* clue about what Vlad is thinking, planning, and doing so they continue to treat him like a close family friend. Much to Danny's pain.
There is sooo much more but those are some of the major plot points which is impressive for such a short series.

Blood Blossoms & Other Healing Herbs
Tumblr media
Hey guys! Sorry it’s been so long since my last post. Been doing a lot of investigating around Amity Park and research in general so there’s so much history here. I barely know where to start half the time when it comes to what topics to talk about because there are so many.
So in the end I decided hey, why not talk about some interesting facts I’ve learned about natural anti-ghost deterrents? You know, the usual where we separate fact from fiction when it comes to what works and what’s nothing but Hollywood movie magic. I actually have a friend that knows a lot about this sort of thing so I got most of my information from them.
Oh! And huge shout out to Danny who let me borrow this antique sketch of his ghost hunting ancestor, John Fenton Nightingale, which I’ll get into talking about a bit later. He’s not the friend I’m talking about either by the way but I did learn a lot thanks to him and talking to his parents. Boy was that an experience because it took forever to get them to let me leave. I get that they were excited to talk to me about their ghost expertise but my dad wasn’t thrilled that I got home hour later than planned. Danny warned me this would happen but I guess I underestimated their enthusiasm.
Anyways, in my experience, nothing beats the classics but for safety reasons I would take a minute to share a quick disclaimer and tell everyone be sure to take what I’m about to say with a grain of salt since a lot of it only works in specific situations depending on the kind of ghosts we’re talking about here. Sadly, as much as I wish the joke I snuck in there was true the myth about making lines or circles of salt to ward off or trap ghosts and evil spirits doesn’t seem to work. But what does work is the thought behind doing it in the first place since its usually a means to cleanse an area of negative energy...
You see, just like the rest of us ghosts have feelings too, but theirs are a bit more intense than others because they’re now supernatural beings whose powers are often tied to their emotions. Some ghosts even feed off of OUR emotions to gain more power, especially through very strong or negative ones so its a good idea to keep your spirits up around them And I mean that literally since it will help make you a lot less appetizing to them. That’s why even if the actual method of purifying your home isn’t a surefire way to keep ghosts and other unfriendly visitors away I’d highly suggest doing it anyway by doing things burning sage, aka smudging, or placing crystals around your home.
On the topic of plants, the best known ghost repellent is called Blood Blossom. It’s an ancient plant that once grew in Salem and a few other isolated locations I’m still looking for back in the 1600′s and was used in a wide variety of ways, including cooking if you can believe it! Unfortunately though, as far as I’m aware of this rare flower went extinct some time ago and you can’t find live specimens of them anywhere. I did manage to track down a sample of some petals that had been pressed between the pages of an old journal and according to my friend, these flowers were often used in to make all kinds of things ranging from  tea, since they’re edible believe it or not, to healing salves made with a mixture of other medicinal herbs with natural anti-ghost properties.
There are a lot of herbs you can still find today that can help keep ghosts and other spooky stuff away, but I won’t list them all since that would take forever. All you need to know is that most stories about plants with supernatural powers? Yeah, almost all of them are true. They’re not as powerful as those ancient Blood Blossoms were according to all the books I’ve read, but if you know what you’re doing most of them can get the job done of keeping you safe.
And like I said before though, using any of these plants only works in a case by case scenario. For one thing, yes wolvesbane can act as a werewolf repellent if you need it, but the real plant is extremely poisonous to humans so I’d suggest against planting any in your garden without the proper safety equipment:
“... Since ancient times, poison made from wolfsbane has been used to coat swords and arrows in battle, execute criminals, commit murder, and has made its way into many spells and rituals. In medieval Europe, some magical uses for the plant wrapping wolfsbane seeds in lizard’s skin and carrying them to become invisible (if you ever try this, please report back!), warding off werewolves and vampires, and shapeshifting into animals.” ~ https://www.osgf.org/blog/2021/10/25/the-most-magical-plants
No matter what you do though, always do your research before trying anything out! It’s never a good idea to mess around with unfamiliar plants and herbs either way unless you know which ones are safe. Leave the ghost hunting to the professionals like the Fenton’s (kinda) or our very own Danny Phantom. Honestly, I’d say the easiest thing to do is carry some mint leaves on you since that’s the safest to get and on it’s own it isn’t harmful to anyone, only bad ghosts who let’s face it...could probably use a breath mint anyway.

Paranormal Investigations Season 3, Episodes 5
💀 Call of Cthulhu: Haunted Hijinx Masterpost 💀 🎶 Call of Cthulhu Season Three Masterpost 🎶
Warning: This campaign is an edited version of Call of Cthulhu: Song and Dance scenario from the Tales of the Crescent City book. While a lot has been changed, there IS spoilers for it throughout these posts.
FINALLY STARTING TO TRY AND ACTUALLY GET CAUGHT UP ON THESE AGAIN... I know I say this like every post but HOPEFULLY WILL BE CHURNING OUT MORE OF THESE SOON.
ART CHANGES THIS SEASON!! @inkdemonapologist and I are collabing on all the art for these summery posts!! Shazz does lines, and I compose and colour the pieces.
While the boys start to regather themselves and meet up at the studio to go into their day, Peter calls to give an update of his own; that reporter we had talked to? He checked in with his sister and she said he never came in. We are, of course, expecting the worst.
Without much of another lead available, we decide to proceed with our Throwing Ghost Jack Into A Occult Mansion plan. Since Peter is not available to be backup in the ghost realm, some vague plans are made to keep track of Jack’s body while he goes in, and if anything happens like that time in NOLA when they saw Jack's hands get injured, Henry will go in with his special eyes and make sure Jack can get out safely. Everyone piles into a car and drives over to the Savoy mansion, parking out back and a block away so that they will not be immediately noticed or recognized.
The mansion is nice and actually kept up well and inhabited. So some quick plans are made of what to look for; - Susie and or her friends or anything that Susie owns - any big magical circles or spooky things - ink or ink residue - … soup
… listen we have this Orchid Soup comment we haven’t figured out yet SO.
Jack manages to fall asleep pretty quickly and starts to walk towards the mansion. Meanwhile, Joey takes the “Hold and support the sleeping Jack” position because he knows he will not be able to rush in if something happens like Sammy or Henry can. Also maybe holds hands with Jack… to keep an eye on Jack’s scars of course.
Jack’s first priority is to make sure he’s not running face first into runes, followed by making sure he’s not running face first into someone who might be able to see him. He does end up finding some protection runes here or there, but nothing like back in NOLA. These are more to specifically keep out large dangerous entities, and not small soft Jacks. Though also some of them have wards on them that would probably alert someone of an intruder so… just going to casually avoid those.
Jack does start comparing doors to the outside walls, trying to find any room that feels like it has a lack of window, or a covered up window, a room where they might have hid some bodies or kidnapped girls. Instead, he gets distracted as he finds an entire stained glass garden like room, filled with orchids, both in decor design and along the actual walls of plants. Though a lot of the other plants seem more… practical use, with jars of various sorts and also a wall of books.
Since not much can be figured out without passing into one of the warded rooms, Jack starts with the ones upstairs. The first is just a master bedroom, and he doesn’t end up getting hurt from the ward, which prompts him to go to a second: probably a daughters room? But it’s all packed up now. Just like, the daughter no longer lives in this room… Weird.
Third room is just another normally lived-in room, probably another child, probably male. Probably a male who really likes guns, since he just has guns laying around his bedroom and a buncha books on guns. Yay guns.
Feeling extra… relevant, Jack circles around and enters the garden room, starting to look around for any additional clues. And he quickly finds that the room size on the inside and what appears on the outside is shorter, thus there’s probably a secret space behind the bookshelves.
But also, while the room was empty earlier, there’s now a well dressed lady standing in the corner, flipping through a small booklet near the phone. Jack quickly realizes that he had seen this woman, specifically on the night Joey was in the hospital. Most likely has found “Lady Orchid.”
Jack tries to sneak around her, but she instantly stares right at him and frowns. Backing up to a shelf and clearly following him with her eyes as he starts sneaking towards the outer wall again, she raises a jar of… something as an attack. Jack continues to back up out of the house, and she confirms, “Yes, good idea, move along, we’re not looking to be haunted, thank you.” She continues to follow him into the yard, tapping the jar at him until he leaves the premises.
Meanwhile, the trio left in the car spot a group of young men, all in fairly nice suits wandering around back of the mansion as well. In almost the same sneaky manner that they would if they were scoping out a place. Joey figures out pretty quickly from their suits that the one is the man with the money, and everyone else seems like hired staff of some sort. Sammy confirms this, because he recognizes one of them as a saxophone player he once worked with in the past. (Not a great one, but good enough.)
Eventually one breaks off, and the others follow over to this weird car parked across the street. Joey, knowing that probably some form of talking will best handle this suit, gets out of the car and meets him along the way, while Sammy hunkers down in the back to make it look like he and Jack are just resting and there’s no weird passed out person in the back of this oddly parked car.
Joey starts chatting up this finely dressed man, but in such a way as to try to gain as much information as he can so he can just feed it right back to the guy and pretend to be on the same page. Apparently he’s looking for Nicole Savoy as well, and is quite worried about her, her parents are hard to talk with, etc etc. Eventually another guy nudges the Suit and reminds him that there’s a schedule to keep, so he gives Joey his card and an invite to his club later that evening, so they can share information then and see if they can work out where Nicole and her friends have disappeared to. Right before the gaggle of suits wander off, Joey manages to get his name, y’know, so he can find him at the club later. His friends apparently just call him… Y.
Soon, Jack returns to his body, and updates the car on what he has found. After a back and forth of whether or not they should just try to spy into that secret room again right away, the group decides that it’s not a risk they need to take right now and to head out for lunch. Peter is not at his desk today so he doesn’t join them.
After a meal, the plans for the evening are made.
Henry is going to go stop by the bookshop he’s procured a few magical books from, as well as the bakery Susie frequents, and ask around for some information. This indeed gives little to no info, as the bookstore owner can confirm she’s noticed something weird going on locally, but has no idea what is causing it or what could be done about it. And the bakery fellas can only confirm she picked up her last order for a lot of cake, which is not usual for her, but that’s it. With not much more than an entire box of donuts, Henry heads home for dinner with his family and to wait for a call to meet up at JDS later with findings.
Meanwhile, Joey is going to head to the club to question Y, figure out what he knows of the girls and also why he’s trying to find them; even if he’s a friend, we’re not quite sure what kind of friend he is yet. But clearly he has information. Sammy and Jack end up tagging along with Joey, mostly because nobody is going to let Joey wander around alone out of trust that he will not get into trouble, but also because… this sort of feels like a trap in some way?
The place is called The Bottomless Well.
Surely this will be fine.
Joey puts aside his worries while enjoying his time dressing up his boys for what is surely going to be a very upscale club, based on how Y was dressed.
And he is correct, the place is clearly a speakeasy that doesn’t need to hide itself anymore, which means it could probably still be run by gangsters. There’s a door check, and only because Joey fussed over making everyone look so presentable, do they easily get through and into the rather well packed club. It’s upscale enough for there to be security, and to support an entire band, which, yes, is made of the men we saw wandering around earlier with Y. Though also, odd for the location, there’s fliers in the bar, specifically advertising a musical contest being held later that week: “Contest of the Arts to be held at Raven's Hall Ballroom on the 18th of July to be judged by a celebrated giant of the entertainment industry. Accepting entrants for Singing, Charleston, and Piano.  There’s a 200$ cash prize to each winner as well as a $2,500 donation to the artistic institute of winner's choice.”
Joey casually pockets one of those fliers as he makes his way to the bar to order a drink for blending purposes, but also to pick the bartender (and other patrons' brains) on the place and it’s owner. - It is still run by gangsters, of which Y is in the family. He is one of two siblings and has a sister that is also quite active. - Y’s the owner of this place and it’s kind of his pet project, but he’s certainly still very connected to his family. - There’s absolutely, positively, no connection between the Savoy’s and Y’s family. Joey specifically gets this information by persuading others to bring up the Savoy’s so that he doesn’t gain a target on his back from this.
Meanwhile, Sammy is noticed by Saxophone this time around, and reluctantly starts a conversation with the other musician, trying to get information about the place while Saxophone asks if Sammy is here looking for work. While Jack was initially being toted around by Joey while Sammy stayed in the back and observing the band, he pulls away now to go save the anti-social composer from his worst enemy: conversation that is interrupting music. Not a lot of information is gained, but they do confirm from another source that there’s still criminal ties to this place. But also it offers really good compensation and the two music boys would be great additions to the team!
The boys meet up and decide to try and talk to Y. They’re aware that he’s in the back of the club, where Saxophone pointed while chatting earlier, but the otherwise open entrance is guarded by a security fella. Though, when looking that way, Jack notices something moving through the door… that doesn’t quite look like it should be there. Meanwhile, Sammy and Joey have noticed that the entire band has been keeping their eyes on Joey the entire time he’s been moving about this place.
Well, we still have no other leads, even if this is starting to feel more and more trap-like!! Joey, Sammy and Jack head towards the back and easily convince the security guard they have a meeting with Y and will just wait in his office meanwhile.
Of course, as soon as they get into the back storage room, the boys are snooping around. There’s a clear office door, and while looking around, Jack also spots the yellow sign in some of the wall’s ironwork in the room. It’s not crawling at them, but it is there.
Meanwhile, Sammy has noticed something else weird about this wall with the Yellow sign carved into it.
He’s noticed there’s ink on the other side.

Disclaimer: Any thoughts, criticisms, or reviews expressed in this post are my own opinions. The definition of opinion is: “A view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.”
Ok, look.
I know I said last week that I officially had it with the whole “Attachment” thing, but I’m serious now.
I’ve had it.
I’ve had it to the point where I do not want to hear the words Sallie, attachment, demon child, portal or Sam in any sentence together, ever again in life.
So...this episode was a tough one for me to chew on, because OMG.
I cannot believe I’m about to say this, but I really hope when they have Amanda on in the season finale, she does some weird Amanda shit and “cures” Sam of his attachment, so we aren’t rolling into Season 2 with this narrative. Cause I cannot hear of this anymore.
What happened to just, like, history and tours and wacky flashlight tricks? Avril was right when she asked, “Why’d you have to go and make things so complicated?”
So, in the interest of my sanity, the review of the Madison Seminary episode will be Attachment-free.
I wasn’t going to write a review this week again, mostly because I feel it gets on a lot of everyone's- including mine lol's- nerves when I dissect every episode the way I have a habit of doing (also, because some weeks I have little to say, but that’s a side point).
But, I want to talk about a couple of things, so here we are. Sorry.
The first thing I want to talk about is the paranormal investigating community, and how it appears to be rife with beefs and drama (who knew?).  And our idiot boys just went ahead and turned themselves into defnoodles for an episode and got right into the middle of some beef between Mustafa from Ghost Hunters and Adam the guide.
Now, I have known for years that there’s been beef between the tv show paranormal investigators (well, mostly between Zak Bagans vs Everyone else), but to know that people have beef over building owners over how their buildings came to be haunted was news to me. So, I did a little of the old googling, and found the blog that Mustafa wrote, vaguely accusing Adam of essentially conjuring entities in the building after coming across some odd symbols painted and etched into the walls, and alluding to him sort of misrepresenting the history of the Seminary (according to Mustafa, they spoke to a local historian who claimed that there weren't any documented instances of abuse in the building, and that it was “a pillar of the community that served a lot of people”).
It was...interesting.
First of all- sometimes, a shuffleboard in the floor is just a shuffleboard in the floor, and not a demonic symbol.  I mean, that’s just facts.
But the other symbols?  Apparently, when GH came through, they encountered strange symbols that had been taken out of the Simon Necronomicon, which (according to my googling skills, i am not well versed in this subject) is a grimorie that seems to be used largely to ward off evil.  However, apparently there are some summoning seals in the book, too, so maybe that’s why Mustafa felt the need to bring it up to Adam, who claimed to have painted sigils on the walls as a source of protection.
Regardless of whether you believe in the symbols or their meanings or not, if enough people believe in the power of something- that can breathe life into something that originally had known. Belief is power. So, maybe they’re onto something there, I don’t know.
But for snc to just jump right on into this little controversy and flat out bring it up to Adam’s face was surprisingly- un-snc of them.  They aren’t normally ones to straight up bring up controversial topics to people's faces, especially when it comes to potentially accusing people of faking the history of a building or purposefully conjuring spirits to a building, so the fact that they brought this up was an eyebrow raiser for me.
I guess we can cross out a collab with Ghost Hunters in their future.🤣
The other thing I wanted to talk about is, again, my new favorite topic- energy.
Adam brought up a really interesting theory about how some of these paranormal hot spots can become so hot, which is the idea of thousands of people coming through a space over the years and bringing things with them, or leaving pieces of their own energy behind.  I love the thought of it, and am fascinated by it.
Other than those two items, I had a few other miscellaneous reactions to random stuff that happened throughout the video.
If so many people over the years are coming into a space that they believe to be haunted- and some of these people are paranormal investigators, or idiot youtubers, or psychics/mediums, etc- then it stands to reason that they could be bringing pieces of other entities/energies, or even leaving behind pieces of themselves, in these places.  I like this theory so much more than the portal theory, if I’m being completely honest. So, points for that discussion.
The other interesting thing he brought up is the concept that bad people in life could potentially = bad people on death, and maybe not every dark entity/energy is demonic, so much as it is just...a dead asshole. I've always thought that theory had some credence, so extra points for that, too.
Nate is a trooper for getting down in that dirty ass hole, cause like...bugs and shit. Sinkholes. Snakes. Disembodied zombie hands that could pop up from the depths of hell below you and grab your ankle and pull you away.
Colby had some weird psychic shit going on in this episode, that I know he'll never fully address (cause he lives to disappoint me lol), but him zeroing in on the Maddie doll right away before anyone told him who it was? Going right for the little door that apparently has had poltergeist activity attached to it in that hallway? At the end, when they were in the doctor's office room asking the doctor questions about stuff and he kept randomly nodding his head "yes" and "no" in time to Sam's questions (and the answers they were getting with their wacky flashlight tricks)? Man's intuition was doing overtime in this one 🤣.
Speaking of Maddie- Colby: "I had a relationship with a ghost named Maddie." Nate: "Are you even flirting with ghosts, now?" Colby: "Yeahhh 😘😏😎." That whole exchange, for some reason, just took me out.
And one more Maddie related thing, before I hit the road- Colby holding the Maddie doll the entire time was both hilarious and oddly heartwarming. He was holding that doll's hand 🤣. He looked so proud of himself, too, at the end.
Ok, back to business. This planchette thing. I'm...underwhelmed. Nothing of true substance has happened with this thing so far. It eas a bit of a reach, I feel to tie their scribble to the doctor's tool, but...sure, ok. I guess it's better than the scribble they got last week, that all the fans were trying to say was a shoe.
I love how Steve was telling snc of a time when he thought he got possessed, and Sam's first reaction was to ask, "Hey, you wanna recreate that?" THIS IS WHY, SAM. This shit is why you have the thing that I won't talk about and refuse to acknowledge is happening anymore. You are the personification of "fuck around and find out," holy shit.
Props to Steve for agreeing to go along with that stupid ass idea, though (even if Mr. Dies First in a Horror Movie Golbach decided later on to do it himself).
The audible noises were interesting, but could've easily been snow coming off the roof or wind banging against a window...still creepy, so that's cool.
Overall, this episode was the weirdest mix of really entertaining and really fucking annoying to the point of giving me a headache. I love love LOVE this group together- I know I said that Seth might be my favorite person they collab with, but Nate might actually be my favorite person they collab with (until the next time Seth pops up, when I change my mind lol). I love the Haunted Nights guys and Adam was a lot of fun and an interesting character. That right there helps bring back most of the points they lost for how annoying the thing which I shan't speak about anymore is, so that kind of level sets them back at 0. I'll add about a solid 5 points for the things mentioned above, so 5/10 isn't as bad as it could be.
But God help them if they talk about attachments next week, they're getting -1 million points for infinity.

Jasmine Fenton's speech on ghosts!
During Sunday's ghost rights protest, Jasmine Fenton, daughter of ghost hunters and owners of Fentonworks Madeline Fenton and Jack Fenton, gave a speech to the crowd. The Ghost Investigation Ward (GIW) thought it best to avoid the media showing this speech until all tests of overshadowing had been conducted. After confirming that they were all negative and none of the participants of the protest were being overshadowed, the GIW have given us the okay to show the speech and some of the events of this protest.
[[Video:
The shot opens to show the general crowd in front of the Town Hall. The camera is clearly a phone as the video is taken portrait and very poor quality in both sound and visual. The person holding it seems to be trying to hold it as still as possible but it's still shaking.
The video begins by panning the crowd of protesters. Some people are holding big signs and posters that read "Dead but still alive!", "Ghost rights!" and similar phrases. The camera pauses and zooms in on the few posters displaying support for Phantom or his logo.
"Can I please have everyone's attention?"
The voice is staticky and muffled as though coming through a speaker.
The screen blurs as the camera quickly turns to the front of the crowd to show the top of the steps to the Town Hall. There at the top stands Jasmine Fenton, Daniel Fenton and the ghost Sydney Poindexter. Jasmine is holding a megaphone and a sign that says "A second life is still a life!". Daniel is standing with the ghost holding another sign, "Dead but still alive!". Sydney seems to be trying to look confident as he stands with false bravado but is half hiding behind Daniel.
The crowd slowly quietens until there is only whispering between people. Jasmine turns and nods at Danny who then moves to stand closer next to her with Sydney. She gives her sign to Sydney and takes Daniel's hand before turning back to the crowd. She holds up the megaphone and starts talking.
"Thank you for coming. It means a lot to have this much support for this cause. I get that not everyone understands what we're fighting for or maybe you're only here for one ghost."
A few cheers come the crowd and the camera goes to a group of people near the back holding signs of Phantom's logo. The camera goes back to the front when they go quiet again.
"But we're here for all ghosts. Not just the ones we like or the ones we know. All of them."
The murmuring gets louder.
"We know ghosts are dead. Or at least they were. You can't tell these people don't feel or think the same as us. That they don't care or love or fear the same as we do."
Daniel gently nudges Sydney who has been stuck staring out at the crowd. He snaps out of his trance and moves closer to Jasmine.
"This is Sydney Poindexter. He went to school. He had a family. He has interests and passions. Dreams and nightmares. He is just like us. It took a lot of courage for him to come here today. He was terrified when he heard how many people were coming and was even more scared when he learnt the GIW were going to be here."
The camera quickly moves to the very edge of the protest where multiple white vans were parked. People in white uniforms were moving between them with huge glowing weapons. The camera goes back to Jasmine.
"But he's here anyway. He came because he doesn't want to live with this fear everyday of his life. And he doesn't want every other ghost to be stuck with this fear as well."
She nodded to Sydney. He seems to let out a sigh and goes back to his spot slightly behind Daniel.
"What we're fighting for is for Sydney to not be scared. For every ghost to be able to come to the human world without having to hide. They have every right to not be hunted like animals. To be studied or dissected to cure someone's sick curiousity."
Some shouts of agreement could be heard from the protesters. Some others yelling about the ghosts who fight and hurt people.
"Of course there are ghosts that cause problems. Just like there are people who cause problems. But we don't kill and dissect every person who does something wrong. They should be treated the same no matter their intentions."
The shouting gets louder. Both sides of the argument getting more passionate. As the noise grows louder and louder, Jasmine tries to get the attention of the crowd again. Daniel drops his sign and grabs the megaphone from her hand, yelling into it.
"Ghost's aren't evil! They don't just come out of the Ghost Zone evil! They come to fulfill their obsessions! And yeah, sometimes they don't do it in the best way but they aren't just evil. They should be treated the same until you know for sure that they are dangerous. You can't look at a ghost and immediately know if they're gonna do something bad! And you shouldn't assume every ghost is bad!"
The shouting stops and the protesters calm down. Daniel hands the megaphone back to Jasmine who whispers something to him. He shakes his head and picks up his sign as Jasmine starts talking again.
"Danny's right. You don't know a ghosts intentions. How would you feel if someone you love became a ghost? If they came back and said they didn't want to leave you, that they loved you and cared about you all the same. How would you feel if they were hunted? Captured? Experimented on? If you were told they were evil even though you know they're the same?"
"That's a strawman argument!"
A voice shouted from somewhere in the crowd.
"No, it's not! Maybe I am playing on feelings. On human empathy and compassion. But sometimes it's the only way to make people see reason. To make them think, what if this was me? What if it was someone I cared about?"
Jasmine's voice begins to crack and she moves the megaphone away for a moment, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. Daniel moves a hand to rub her arm and whispers something. Jasmine nods and hands the megaphone to him.
"Jazz knows what she's talking about. We shouldn't have to tell you to care about people but here we are. We shouldn't have to make this a personal problem but we do. Because if we don't..."
He stops and Jasmine pulls him closer a little. She's still crying.
"Then it's just gonna get worse."]]
The rest of the protest continues much the same as it did before but with added vigor. The speech seemed to rile up the protesters, mostly due to now having an actual goal and leader. When people began to leave, Jasmine and Daniel were seen handing out flyers with the demands of the protest and how to help. When most of the crowd was gone, Madeline Fenton and Jack Fenton were able to get to there children and, after a brief argument, took them home.
The GIW urges readers to ignore the flyers and the protest. And to regard them as nothing more than the ramblings of scared children.
We at Amity Park News urge you to think for yourself.

Vacation Crashers Chapter 7
Read Whole Story on Ao3 “A battery?” Danny raised a brow. Batman nodded, having informed them to reason he was there and how he had crashed. They needed a distraction from the current situation, and from what he saw, they were well informed on the subject he needed answers for. “That’s what was classified? Are you sure it was using ectoplasm?” Jazz asked as she stood far from Danny, but still in the vicinity of the shield. She was dangling a stick out of arms length, ready to spray a tiny bit of the ghost repellent at the end of the stick. They only needed a small sample. No need in making Danny miserable. He should recover from it quickly if they couldn’t find a solution.
“Substance of the matter is unknown by our database, but after what information I had gathered from here, that it is indeed one in the same.” Batman explained, “Power levels matching the levels in this area.” Danny furrowed his brows, as he leaned his back against the log, sitting on the ground next to where Batman sat on the log. “Hmm. That’s odd. Our parents don’t sell converters or batteries, since they haven’t fixed the whole food coming back to life thing.” The what? Batman quickly shoved that thought aside. “Yeah. We would know to, because Dad wouldn’t shut up about it.” Jazz started spritzing the stick trying her best not to get any on her. She didn’t want another trip into the lake. “And we would have known if one got stolen.” Between Danny’s hero work, Jazz’s cataloging of inventions, and their parents ridiculous security system, it be hard to steal from them too. Danny pulled his legs to his chest hugging them, resting his cheek on his knees. “So that leaves us with Axion Labs or the GiW?” He didn’t like the idea of that. Danny didn’t need everyone getting their hands on ghost tech. Let alone Gotham. He could only imagine how many ghosts would form or feed from there, if it had an increase of ectoplasmic energy. Danny shivered. Batman squinted his eyes, both were unfamiliar to him. Axion Labs briefly came up in his research, but it was label as an organic material replacement research facility. Though, now that he thought about it, there was little to any information on what Axion Labs specifically made or researched about. He should of looked more into it. That was a lapse in his judgment. Now the GiW, he never heard of them at all. “GiW?” “Oh um, they’re a secret government organization that deals with ghost. We call them the guys in white, mostly because they’re always dressed in white suits.” Danny explained motion with his hands. “We think their official title might be called the Ghost Investigation Ward, but we’re not sure.” Jazz chimed in. “I never heard of that agency.” Batman frowned into his hand, deeply. He had on file every government funded organization, fraction, and office. How did an entire organization slipped past the cracks. “Not surprising. We didn’t either until they started showing up in Amity Park.” Danny grumbled into his knees. That’s odd. Batman felt the wheels turning, he have to look into them more. He guessed by how Danny reacted to mentioning GiW, that they had a negative affect on their lives. “Honestly, they’re always causing more harm than good. The GiW loves to flaunt their new devices, but they don’t take security lightly. And Axion Labs was bought out by VladCo, who also doesn’t take security lightly. Though to be honest, he needs to update his password.” It had been something related to Maddie since Danny and Tuck started hacking into his systems.
“Vlad Masters?” Bruce knew the man. He always avoided business with him. There were a lot of rumors circulating through the elite about the man, but even with his detective work, he found nothing amiss. Business deals just too conveniently going his way. Danny hesitated on answering as he realized he might be revealing too much. What if Batman drew the connection between Vlad and Plasmius. “Yeah. Vlad was a college friend of our parents.” Jazz walking closer to the two, the ghost repellent left on the ground from where she had sprayed the stick. Trying to keep Danny’s distance from it. “Ok, the sticks ready.” “I’m not going to do a control.” Danny glaring at the stick. He could smell it a bit from here. Batman nodded, as he pulled a small gas mask from his belt. He only had one for himself, as he hadn’t planned on needing more than one. At least not on hand. “Why do you have a-” Batman raised a brow at Danny. Danny just chuckled awkwardly in response, realizing how dumb that question is. “Many of my rogues use specialized chemical gas as weapons.” Batman decided to explain anyways as he handed Danny the mask. It was a little too big for Danny, but it would do for the test. Jazz waited for the ‘ok’ from her brother, before wagging the stick in his face. “You look like you’re having too much fun with that stick, Jazz.” Danny huffed as he held the mask in place. “The sisterly urge to poke you with a stick is still strong, brother. And I have doubt it shall ever die.” “Well, it still stinks, but I think that’s because the smell been burnt into my nostrils.” Danny sniffed. “Any physical reactions?” “No, not really.” Besides the normal discomfort of smelling anything rotten, Danny didn’t feel ill like he had instantly when their parents sprayed it. “Definitely not feeling sick like before- Oh shi-shoot!” Danny clumsily dropped the mask. Jazz quickly tossed the stick far behind her in panic, hearing the stick snap against a tree. “Sorry,” Danny picked up the mask, making sure it was ok. He brushed off any dirt then he handed it back to Batman. “Its fine. We’ll adjust it.” He fiddled with the straps. “As long as it work.” “Yeah, wish I had thought of that.” “Danny, it wouldn’t have worked. Mom and Dad sprayed EVERYTHING remember? I had to double check the food didn’t get spritzed!” Jazz groaned, she was the one who had to scrub everything clean for the week. It had been very stressful vacation for her. Batman kept his stare on the mask. Why would their parents keep using a product that obviously gave their child discomfort? Unless... “Do your parents know?” Danny froze, face paling. His eyes searching his sister for help, she was just as paralyzed with panic. “Uh, a-about what?” Batman frowned, “About your contamination?” “Oh! That-” Danny felt a bit of relief, trying to hide the deep breath he let out. Jazz did the same, with her hand over her heart. Danny cursed, maybe they gotten too comfortable. “Uh.. they do... just uh..” Danny wasn’t sure how to word this, eyes pleading with his sister again for help. This time she was able to respond. “They don’t know how badly contaminated he is. They know their devices malfunction around him, but not sure why. Its kind of hard to tell them anything about ectoplasm or ghosts.” “How come? They are experts in this field, correct?” “Tch, yeah. They get proven one thing right and now everything they ever said or theorized about ghost is also true.” Danny huffed, then flinched as Jazz bumped her foot into Danny’s leg. A signal to watch what he said. Right, they were with Batman. World’s greatest detective. That thought just now settled into his brain. They were with the world’s greatest detective, who was investigating an ectoplasmic battery that lead him to ghost, knew Jazz and Danny can fight ghost as well as had extensive knowledge of them, and he was going to help them fight Plasmius. He was going to find out. They were going to turn on him. Danny didn’t want to be chased by heroes! It was bad enough he got gunned down by his parents and the
government daily. “Mom and Dad have a large bias against ghosts and are a bit... extreme with the subject. So its hard to tell them anything without it either being blown out of proportion ooooorrr... dismissed with “logical reasoning”. If they don’t start talking non-stop at the word ghost first. T-they don’t mean to but uh.. yeah.” Jazz knew her parents on paper were textbook definition of neglectful. Their absent mindedness and hyper fixation on ghost caused the majority of the Fenton children’s problems. They were constantly endangering their children’s lives despite all their safety lectures and protocols. Danny was a living example of it, or not living example. However, Danny and Jazz still loved them. They were goofy and loving, they just loved their work and hated ghosts more. Even if they both denied it. Even though they would fight to end of the earth for their kids, they would always return straight back to work with a tool in their hand. It was something Jazz and Danny accepted. Batman nodded, gripping the strap tight in his hand. He was liking it less and less about the Fenton situation. Even more so to know it had been going on for a while. He never even knew. Once back home, he’ll have to double check his systems files one by one to make sure they were accurate and up to date. That there wasn’t any missing or false information. Though he swore to clean up Gotham, this was something that should have came to the league’s attention. Batman side glance towards the boy who seemed to curl up into himself. It hurt, having just seen the boy relaxed by his side a moment ago. Batman looked back up at Jazz. She was standing firmly in place, strictly in protective mode. No doubt because of her brother. Jazz was trying to decipher Batman’s reaction. “Hmm. I see.” Batman choosing his words carefully. The kids were on the defensive. “I’m sorry that they don’t listen.” He had to learn that lesson. More than once. Bruce couldn’t recall all the times Dick or Alfred had to pull him out of his head. Though he could recall some of his fondest moments were when he sat down and just listened to his children talk. Their one on ones. Like when Tim was questioning his place as a Robin, or Jason back when he was a Robin telling him about his life before Bruce. Even just mundane talks like when Dick calls just to say hi and tell him about a new restaurant, show, or about the weather, as his way to have a small break from family and vigilante life. Stephanie sitting him down to teach him current slang or about a viral meme. Damian talking about injustice of not allowing pets in school, or swords.
There were even moments that they didn’t need to talk to be listened to. Duke just needing comfort of someone standing beside him. Or when Cass sneak into his office, pulling up a chair to sit on and rest her head on his shoulder as he worked.
They just needed to know they were there and welcomed. And they were some of Bruce’s favorite moments. Jazz was stunned, furrowing her brows as if she didn’t hear that right. She shuffled in her spot after a moment to regain composure. Her shoulders were visibly more relaxed with a soft smile growing on her face. “Thank you.” Danny never lifted his head up from his arms, but he was confused. What did Batman have to be sorry for? Not his fault their parents on/off switch was ghosts. That’s just how they were. “What are your views on ghost?” Batman asked. These kids didn’t agree with their parents bias about ghost. Whether he knew what the bias was or not didn’t matter. Though it would appear negative. And so far, he trusted these kids more about the subject than these unknown parents of theirs. He definitely would like to have a word or two with them by the end of this. Danny raised his head shocked, glancing at Jazz who just smiled happily. Her eyes glistening. Danny rubbed the back of his neck looking away from either of them, feeling awkwardness creep up. Had, nobody really asked them that? Huh. Weird. “Uhhh, They’re just.. like anyone else. Some ghosts were people or animals with a cruddy end in a place with high ectoplasmic levels. Most just want to live their life... afterlife? doing what they never was able to before. Sometimes they cause trouble but uh.. most just stick to themselves." Danny blew out some air. He never really put to words how he thought about ghosts. Kind of weird seeing as he was one. Half of one, to think of them as just ghosts. At least ever since Jazz’s intervention, when she saw Danny having a crisis in the middle of the night, worrying (Crying) that he was a monster because his eyes were constantly glowing outside of ghost form and he was growing fangs. That was, one heck of a week... month. All about accepting that he was still Danny and not Dan, nor a monster because he didn’t see other ghosts as monsters either. Something about how their parents bias rubbed off on him, blah blah. “Majority of them don’t even leave the ghost zone.” Danny continued. “Ghost... zone?” “Dimension ghosts and ectoplasm come from, its connected to our world. There are pockets all over the world that can open up any time any place. ” Jazz sat down on the log, on Danny’s other side. Her hand going to mess with their brother’s hair, mostly just to fiddle with something in her hand. Danny frowning but making no effort to make her stop. Batman just hummed in response. So much new information. He would like to dive in deeper, but they had to focus more on what was relevant. “And what about the ones that don’t stay in the ghost zone?” “They want to have fun, at least that’s how Ember puts it- sh-” “Ember is a rockstar ghost who manipulates people with her music. She’s usually pretty chill when she isn’t trying to indulge in her obsession. Obsessions what gives ghost purpose.” Jazz explained before Batman could ask. Danny giving her a weird look, but Jazz just gave a reassuring smile at him. Batman must have passed some invisible test for her. “Uh.. yeah. Its because of their obsessions, or boredom they tend to sneak out of the Ghost Zone to cause some mayhem. Pain in the butt. There only a handful we met that want to cause harm or death on people.” Danny still giving a strange look at his sister, trying to figure out what made Jazz soo calm? “Plasmius is one of those?” Danny glancing back at Batman, biting his lip. ”...kind of.. yeah. Though his is.. or was more personal. He’s kind of a strange topic.” “Strange or uncomfortable?” Danny blinked, “Uh.. b-both?” Batman handed back the mask once the straps were adjusted for Danny to try again. Jazz helping from where she sat, adjusting it a bit more to see how it fit. They would test it again against the repellent, seeing how much the mask can filter out before Danny felt ill. None of them really speaking, but the silence was comfortable. Bruce reached up to turn his comm back on. He needed to hear them again, besides once they reach
the coordinates they won’t be able to communicate again til they landed. --- Dick was at the helm of the plane, humming to himself as he flew. Damian was curled up in his seat, already having stolen some of the snacks from Alfred’s basket, examining each one out of boredom. He was trying not to look interested in the game Jason and Tim were playing. Jason sat leaned back in his seat, legs spread and an arm hanging off the back of his chair. Tim sat semi crossed legged, leaning over as he debated his next move. They both held cards in their hands and a crate was shoved between them to use as a table. They were chatting with Steph over the comm. “All I’m saying, he looks way to weak! There’s no way.” Steph said over the comm, staring at the picture of the Fenton family that popped up on the screen. She had been bragging about being right since it appeared. “And who be loosing money if that was the case, me not you! I still bet 50 bucks and a burger he’s a heck of a fighter. You don’t need to be strong if you have a weapon. Little demon spawn proof of that.” Jason tossing a card down. “I can end you with my bare hands.” “Yeah, yeah, in five years maybe.” “Don’t start fighting. We got to at least get there in one piece.” Dick sparing a glance between Jason and Damian. Tim stated as he laid down a card. “Uno.” “No! Bullshit. You just had five.” “Yeah, so I reversed, skipped, reverse, skipped, and had to draw. Got a wild card, so now its green.”
“Fuck this game. Hey, demon brat come play. You been eyeballing us for last 10 minutes. Game better with more people.” Jason having to pick up five cards before he got a green. “It has not been 10 minutes.” Damian huffed. Tim laying down his last card with a ‘whoop!’. “Also, I think Danny’s probably a vigilante.” “Your opinion is only valid if you bet on it.” Steph huffed. “You already got 30 bucks off of me, Steph!”
“Gotta put a penny to your thoughts for them to be heard, red bird. Preferably not a penny though, because that’s lame and we are going through inflation.” “Fine, another 30 he’s a vigilante.” Tim shook his head as he watched Jason stomp off to find some “real” cards. “50- he’s self taught.” Cass popped out behind Tim, who dropped all the cards he was attempted to put up. “Gah! Cass!” The other 3 birds jumping at her voice, letting out a screech of their own. “Cass? When did you-” “She has been with you since you left the bat cave. Also we might need to try contacting Bat’s soon. I found some information about the Fenton family and that there is a town in Illinois, called Amity Park but... I only get a few sentences and articles in before I’m kicked out or the information corrupts.” Barbara stated with concern. “Its kind of creepy. The files go all VHS filter on ya, then deletes it stuff. Almost like watching a horror flick to be honest.” “I might hold off on getting anymore information, until B can look at it, or someone can go to see the town in person. I’m running system for viruses now.” “Someone doesn’t want anyone to know about the town.” Dick stated the obvious with a frown. “So these kids... have bigger troubles, huh?” Jason huffed, hands in his pockets. “What did you find out about the Fentons, besides that Danny has black hair and blue eyes?” Tim asked. “Jack and Madeline Fenton, are self-employed scientist and inventors with a degree in the paranormal. They are considered mad by the scientific community, but experts with in their own field of study.” “Get this! Says that they’re ghost hunters and have been hunting ghosts for 20 years. Crazy right?” “Yea, the dead coming back to life? Insane.” Jason snorted. “Er... I guess you have a point. B-but ghosts aren’t the same... right?” Damian frowned, “Grandfather... never said anything about ghosts.” “What else Babs?” Dick pressing to try and see if Batman was online yet. “Well, only other thing I was able to cook up is medical records. Apparently Daniel Fenton was taken to the hospital shortly before his freshman year. About two years ago. He showed signs of electrical burns and hypothermia. Doesn’t say what caused it.” “Fuck.” They all grimaced. “Why did Duke decide to power nap now? Just when we found out Danny’s probably a meta!” “Looks like he won’t be the only one in the manor. I doubt Father is going to ignore that.” Damian sighed. “We don’t know the specifics.. but.. that’s not looking good. We’ll let B know, try to rest up when you can. We’ll keep you updated.” “Affirmative. Be careful. We don’t have a third plane up and ready.” “Will keep that in mind.” Dick weakly chuckled. Everyone grew silent. Jason had returned to his seat, kicking his feet up on the crate, arms crossed. Tim resting his chin in his hand in thought. Cass leaning against controls, with a grimace still showing on her face. Damian had pulled his legs up to his chest, pouting. This was going to be more than a simple rescue mission. “Soooo Abba?” “NO DICK!” Dick already was reaching to play some music, all of them scrambling to take it away from him. Then they heard a click. Batman was back on. Dick reaching hand up to his ear. “How far away are you?” Before Dick could reply, Jason and Damian were already blowing up Bat’s comm.
