There’s some awfully weird things that these dudes named their horses, let’s get into a few.

Of course we have the two Jeff Davis’. I’ll never get over Grant naming his horse that.

All I know about Johnston is that he was a confederate that died at the battle of Shiloh. I’m sure after he died his horse ran away to find an owner who wouldn’t name it “Fire-Eater”. If I were a horse named Fire-Eater I would definitely have a problem with the dude who named me that.

Chamberlain, I love you. You did a good job at Gettysburg, you were a good professor, and that mustache is legendary. But you named your horse “Charlemagne”. It sounds like a spell out of a Harry Potter book. I have no clue how to pronounce that, but it looks more like “Charles-magnet”

Y’know how there’s two different types of cat owners, one will named their cat “Angel” while the other names it “Cool Ranch Doritos 5000”? This is the equivalent but with horses.

There’s plenty more of these, I’d seriously go check it out. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

I wish I was able to read comics without knowing what happens. Every mention of Jason Todd a voice lingers in the back of my mind “he comes back”, it doesn’t make those moments any less impactful, but I can’t help wonder what it would be like to read the comics without knowing someday he’ll become the Red Hood. I wonder how it would feel to just be left with the sting of the moment.

I’m almost to Stephanie’s death, I don’t know how she dies, but I know who lets her die. I wish I didn’t, I feel that it ruins her death even more knowing that fact.

My reaction to seeing Black Mask alive in War Games was “huh, so he is alive”. I thought that he couldn’t be dead because he had to show up in Under the Red Hood, thing is I wasn’t even sure Under the Red Hood took place in the continuity I was reading until after I looked it up. Even without knowledge of continuity I still knew because of what I know from others.

How would it feel to read the stories I love without knowing how the damn thing ends?

I prefer DC, but Boom!, Image, and many many other indie comics have been good to me. Unfortunately for me and my interests, Marvel hasn’t appealed to me in comic form the way DC has.

Not to project the pets I always wanted for myself as a kid or anything, but my favorite Robins should definitely have:

Stephanie Brown: Lavender Axolotl

They are rare for their species and she would love that because it’s her color. Also it’s probably mutated because she somehow found it in Gotham’s water system, but no biggie.

Jason Todd: Silkie Chicken

The Robin with the curly hair should obviously own a buddy with a puffy head to match. Also probably good comfort weight to have on your lap while reading.

Damian Wayne: Horse with Pajama

The pajamas would obviously have to be green, grey, or black with the Robin and Batman logos on them. Great friend for BatCow too.
