it’s weird for me to gradually realize my passion in psychology lies mostly in its stem side, while in my mental narrative, i am not fit for it. from my five subjects, two are stats courses and one a psychobiology course, and they bring a mixture of excitement and anxiety in my studying 🌾📖

i came back after a year of not posting anything, sooo much has happened in just a span of a year. i left my previous uni to chase my dream in another one. though i’m still majoring in STEM, but the environment is so much more healthier and comfortable. i’m forever grateful that i had the courage to leave and now i’m the student of a top 3 uni!!! that’s just so crazy to think.

i’m having finals this week and i’m just trying my best to get back on track again, hopefully i’ll be more consistent in posting! ^^

i hope you’re all having the best time of the year, let’s plant good seeds and water them with good intention so that they can grow into something beautiful next year! 🦋

Some colorful journals and my new bookshelf! Technically, it’s not new; it used to be my shoe rack for some reason, but a few days ago, I came across the realization that, perhaps, it’s much better and more convenient as a bookshelf. I’m currently waiting for more books so the middle will probably fill up and the ones at the bottom are ones I’ve read already! Honestly, in this household, we stan books. By the way, if y’all have any books to recommend, please send them my way!! It’d be much appreciated. I’ve been filling the days with cleaning, journaling, and watching videos. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’ve really been feeling like time goes by so fast these days. I should probably start getting up early tbh. Anyways, I hope all y’all are doing well and have a relaxing weekend!! 🤍✨

this picture is from almost a year ago when i was actually on campus. i’m missing these peaceful moments and quiet study spaces a little bit extra today. even more, i’m missing the moments i spent with friends on campus that were pure joy. even in the midst of busy seasons, i hope you are all staying in touch with the people who make you feel loved and your heart feel warm!

1.22.2021 || got back into reading again a few months ago and now somehow i’ve found myself reading 3 books simultaneously? which is totally fine cuz each one is good for reading at different times: faithful place if i wanna immerse myself in a novel, the book of delights if i want to cheer myself up, and fascism: a warning for when i need something to make me think. i just finished faithful place actually! so i’ll move on to my next tana french novel soon :)

I have two super important assignments due way too soon that I haven't even started on,,, and I want to do them well and properly but that just seems to make me procrastinate more, I've never written something that requires me to read so much scientific literature and understand it well enough to re-explain it, it's honestly really daunting. day 1: introduce yourself! what’s some basic info you’d like to share about yourself? what are you studying?

hey there! i’ve been here for a while, but i’m lama. i am a third culture kid and currently a senior in my last semester of university in washington, dc. i am studying interdiscplinary studies in comm, law, economics, and governemnt, followed by two minors in computer science and information systems and technology. i am also in my uni’s honors program, so i love learning, reading, and doing research. but i also love indie music, sitcoms, and now? baking.

day 2: why did you decide on your major?

i have thought about changing my major several times. but because i am interested in the intersections of policy, law, and technology such as algorthimic bias (ai in policing), data privacy rights, digital advocacy and equality (digital divide), and cybersecurity... i thought it was great to understanding technology through my minors, but also on the policy level through my major. it’s so much work, but i am almost there!
