Frank didn't know what Leo had been planning on saying next; all he knew was that he whipped around at the exact same time Frank had stumbled back, causing him to slip on the wet ground. A sound of surprise left Leo's mouth as he fell, splashing water everywhere as he toppled right into Frank's lap.

Thankfully, Frank caught him right before his butt hit the ground, which probably would have been pretty painful. Leo seemed pretty relieved as well, though somewhat flushed, and Frank knew it was because he was shocked, but a part of him wanted to believe that Leo was as flustered as Frank was.

"Sorry," Leo said, half a breath, half a laugh.

Frank's arms were still wrapped around his middle. He couldn't deny that he liked the feeling. Leo wasn't actually all that small — despite the relentless bullying from the others — but compared to Frank, he was tiny. His waist fit perfectly in his arms, his body scrawny in a cute, I-want-to-hug-you-forever way. And though he was light, the weight of him against Frank's chest was the only thing he could focus on.

That was, until — "um, Frank...?"

"Right, no. I'm sorry," Frank sputtered, releasing Leo and putting about a foot of distance between them. God, why was his heart beating so fast? ...

Prometheus: Ally to Mortals illustrated by me

In his works, Hesiod relates the tales of Prometheus; Titan of craftiness and forethought. Refusing to fight in the Titanomachy war, Prometheus is spared from being sent down to imprisonment in Tartarus. But the Titan is far from an ally of Zeus.

In a dispute between mortals and Gods over the distribution of Ox meat for sacrifice, Prometheus intervenes to assist humanity. He wraps one pile of bones with juicy fat, the other, he hides the good meat within a hide. Asked to choose, Zeus is fooled into picking the more visually appealing pile; which is mostly bones.

In another episode, Zeus keeps fire hidden from humanity for fear that the mortals would make too much progress with such an advantageous tool. Again, Prometheus rebels, stealing the fire from Mt. Olympus and delivering the flames to humanity in a hollow fennel stock. For such a transgression, Prometheus was “…bound with inextricable bonds, cruel chains, and drove a shaft through his middle, and set on him a long-winged eagle, which used to eat his immortal liver; but by night the liver grew as much again everyway as the long-winged bird devoured in the whole day.” (white)

In Aeschylus Tragedy play Prometheus Bound, characters visit and talk with the tortured Titan, who supports humanities autonomy and potential against divine authority, and even prophecies the downfall of Zeus. In the play, Prometheus mentions his role in the formation of humanity from clay and breathing life into it.

Like the later myth of Jesus Christ, Prometheus challenges the established authority, sacrifices himself for the benefit of humanity and suffers the severe consequences of his rebellion.

riordanverse head-canons!

Some riordanverse (heroes of olympus, magnus chase, percy jackson, etc...) head-canons that have been living in my head rent free -Leo loves Garfield. Piper loves Hello Kitty. -Hearthstone is really expressive when signing but the moment he stops signing, like the VERY second he stops signing, he goes expressionless like how he is described in the books. *ASL is a visual language. A big part of ASL is facial expressions, it's what differentiates similar signs from each other. I always found it odd that Hearth stayed "emotionless" when signing because, presumably, is fluent in ASL as he's deaf. -Jason has low blood pressure, which is why he faints often. He gets diasogned with low blood pressure by Asclepius when Asclepius gave him glasses.
