the pouch scene is funny to me because there were literally so many other ways leo could have demonstrated that it was fireproof, chief of which is putting literally anything else that WASN'T frank's firewood into the pouch before setting it on fire, but he was too hopped up on frank is going to think i'm so cool juice. and frank is just like sure i guess i'll put complete faith in you and let you burn while my flammable life is in your hands for a completely unnecessary reason. forgive my bluntness but are you guys stupid or gay?

Leo and Frank in an argument over something stupid and after awhile Frank gets angry enough that he switches to Mandarin - so Leo responds by switching to Spanish. Impressed yet still annoyed, Frank takes the challenge and starts speaking Quebecois. Leo is momentarily silent, and Frank thinks he's won whatever strange little unspoken competition they've entered into.

Then Leo starts speaking in dots and dashes.

Frank knows more dialects and enough Cantonese to probably beat Leo, but he's so taken back, he just laughs.

Leo cracks a grin then asks if he won. He asks it in Latin.

"Hey, Honey. Can you pass the pop-corn?" Percy asked and he froze when no one moved, then he looked up. They were all looking at him. He raised a brow. "What?"

Jason sighed.

"Who are you talking to, Perce?" Jason asked and Percy looked at them in confusion.

"Heart, you call us all 'honey'." Hazel said on the other side of Frank, who sat next to him, and he blushed.

"But I like using that word." Annabeth kissed his forehead, sitting right next to him.

"And it's very sweet, and we love it but you have six partners. It's hard to tell who you're talking to when you call all of us that name."

"You can still use it. But it gets a little confusing when we're all here and talking to you." Piper assured patting his knee and Percy nodded. "Okay."

"Oo! Now we can help you come up with some names for us! I can be 'Hot-Stuff'!" Leo said excitedly. Percy smiled.

"Yeah, that can be fun. But I'll still use it one on one."

"Fine by us, Babe." Frank said grabbing his hand.

"Oh! Everyone SH! This is my favorite part!" Piper yelled and they went quiet paying attention to the movie.

my thoughts on caleo even though no one asked for them!!!

Personally, I don't like caleo, it felt forced, as if Leo was the only single one so Rick just paired him off with this immortal titaness so he wouldn't be alone. Honestly, Calypso's kinda a jerk, and Leo is too good for her. Nemesis told him that he'd always be the 7th wheel, so I like the headcannon that Leo's aromantic (idk the correct terms for everything, but I think that's correct), and he's the 7th wheel not because he's "unlovable" (all his friends love him) but because he simply does not want to date! And maybe he thinks he does want to date for a bit, but eventually he realises he's perfectly content with just his friends.

Also, it would have been wayyy more impactful if Leo had helped Calypso get away for Ogygia simply out of the kindness of his heart, and to hold the gods accountable for not following through on their promise to Percy. Maybe at first he thought he liked her, just to continue on Leo's whole "falling in love with unobtainable people" thing, but i dont think Calypso would ever return this crush, and Leo would just get over it. When Leo first arrived, Calypso took one look at him and was lowkey disgusted, like here was this scrawny guy washed up on here island, when before she's had strong, very heroic types such as oddyeseus, so I don't think she'd like Leo because he's simply not her type.

However I do like the idea of Calypso getting a soft spot for Leo, and them developing a sort of sibling-like relationship, or a friendship similar to early Percabeth - but with less of an undertone of romance and tragedy.

Also, if we're not going with the aro Leo hc, I way prefer valgrace or valzhang (they have so much more chemistry and backstory let's be real they're both sm better)

can you imagine the guilt frank felt after leo's ""death""? like not only did he just let it happen because of his own ideals about justice and sacrifice but he also had to live with the fact that he never really tried to understand leo even though leo turned out to be nothing like what frank thought of him.

anyway even without all that leo still DIED so when he comes back frank is super protective over him obviously. but i also think he wouldn't be the type to coddle him either? it's more in a "yeah i'm his guard dog now" way. he wants to make sure leo won't ever feel alone enough to be backed into self-sacrifice and suicide ever again. wants to make sure leo knows frank's always in his corner, even if he hadn't been before.
