pls don't hate me, Colin lovers, but I was told by a friend who read the series that he's more fun and chill in the books and also i just....find Polin from even s1 is kinda uhhhhh?awkward?? cuz he's kind of unnecessarily serious and so not chill in the previous seasons?? maybe i don't see his appeal because I'm no Penny but i do not see his appeal in the show

Nsbysbbsb NO WORRIES!!! I have a weirdly big amount to say about this show bc I am no longer suffering as much as I did in s1 and 2. Prepare for an essay on my feelings on Polin and thank you for enabling me.

Ok so Colin. Not saying your friend is wrong bc I didn't read the book, but p much everyone I saw talking about it said Colin was very angry and aggressive in it, and for NO REASON since he's supposed to be the "calm brother". I'm glad that the show let him get upset, but never the way he was in the books/Anthony was in s2, where I legit worried about Kate's safety sometimes. Colin was my fav Bridgerton brother bc he was totally different from all the other men on the show, calm and silly and romantic.

Thar being said!!! I never ever thought of him as a GOOD love interest, and s3 only made it worse. First off, yeah, s1 and 2 do NOT show him and Pen as friends nearly enough to warrant the speed of their connection in s3. I blocked s2 from my memory bc I hated it So Damn Much so I can't 100% stand behind my words, but I don't really remember many friendly scenes with the two of them that didn't feel like he was just entertaining his sister's bestie? I remember he once danced with her, and he sent her letters from his travels, and that's it. Then in s3 we are supposed to believe Pen knows him soooo well, she sees through his tricks when no one else does, he can't stand losing her friendship when she stops talking to him. How, when the impression I got from their relationship was "oh she is clearly silly in love and he doesn't care about her enough to notice"!!!

And s3... Oh boy. Colin gets his "glowup" and becomes a rake bc Bridgerton writers would probably spontaneously combust if they wrote a virgin male lead. We see him flirt and smash other women and it is always so so so awkward. I've seen people trying to rationalize it as "Oh he is supposed to be pretending, oh we are supposed to find it cringe" but NO, he is objectified the exact same way Simon and Anthony were, and we as the audience are supposes to think it is sexy. To be fair, Pen finds it concerning but I think that has more to do with the amount of silly, vapid women constantly swarming around him. So now we are even FURTHER away from seeing any reasons why the two of them would be friends. And then we get hit with the "Colin teaches Pen how to find a husband" plot, and oh my god it is so bad, IT IS SO BAD, they have like 2 lessons across 1 episode before they are busted and stop and he literally taught her NOTHING she IGNORED HIS ADVICE AND FIGURED IT OUT BY HERSELF but everyone treats him like a war hero for taking one for the team and teaching the poor unlikeable social reject how to act. We also have the stupid scene where she is criyng begging him to kiss her because she is convinced otherwise she would die without being kissed, and he is trying to elegantly avoid it, and oh my god, I hated this, it is framed as cute and romantic but it is so uncomfortable and bad. AAAAAAAA. Anyway. Then there is this hilariously horrible incident where he saves her from a feral balloon, and if you are wondering wtf am I talking about, its because it is really bad and written like a Scary Movie slasher scene. There are exactly 3 moments that I liked, and ALL of them were bc Colin seemed very lost and desperate. First was when Pen told him they should stay away from each other after the scandal of them hanging out came out (which I liked bc if it were any other girl, some unhinged character would force them to marry, but since it was Pen they were like "Well obviously it's true there was nothing untowards happening it is just cringe haha loserrr"), and he looked like he stopped comprehending English. The second was when he was confessing his feelings, he got on his knees and looked like he was about to cry and I thought that was sweet! Well, he did mention torture which is a very ugly word to use in such a speech, but whatever. The third was after the Infamous Carriage Scene when he says something silly and the two giggle together and I was like PLEASE WHERE WAS THIS ENERGY IN S1 AND 2!!

And may I just say!! The actual Bridgerton Glowup one was PEN and NOT COLIN. In s1 and 2 you could tell she was pretty, but in s3 they made her so damn beautiful that my friends and I would go "Oh wow" several times per episode. And it's not only the clothes, they would put her in rooms where she pops out and sparkles and frame her in shots just perfectly. Idk why they only gave her 1 alternate love interest and then shot her Like That, there should have been at LEAST one more guy following in Debling's trail. Now she's the hot one in the relationship so I can't buy her desperation for Colin's approval or society's perception of Colin as a charity in any way.

With all that said. I think this is the best season of Bridgerton proper. It still isn't something I'd enjoy unironically, but at least it is neither a horrible age gap dynamic feat. SA nor a horrible disgusting juggling of sisters feat. murderer vibes. The only thing I'd say is worse than it used to be is the clothes, which are slowly creeping towards The Reign level of ahistorical and bad.

Best 23 of BL 2023 - Quirky Awards

SHOCK & AWE AWARDS

1. Biggest BL surprise of 2023:

The last 3 months of 2023 in general got my biggest WTF award.

GMMTV fielding OffGun AND TayNew in the same quarter while also airing Last Twilight (arguably one of their best BLs ever)

That they ALSO optioned 3 JBLs

That there's a high heat omegaverse BL staring Pavel

That there were 20 BLs airing and none of them Korean.

With 5 VAMPIRE BLs announced for next year

But my prize in this category goes to My Dear Gangster Oppa.

It's just crazy:

Thai talent, Korean money + IP (this is adapted from a manwha) airing on a Chinese channel (iQIYI). Plus it was GOOD and made smart reuse of a pair who richly deserved it. I'm delighted by the eclectic insanity of this production. And wonder if any other film genre could even do anything like this.

2. The “that country did WHAT?” award:

The 8th Sense from Korea?!

I mean, seriously?! Dealing with metal health, suicide, darkness, therapy, age gap, & first time love BUT FROM KOREA? And then openness and casual boyfriend physical affection? What's next? An actual hard fought coming out narrative with an HEA? Gay domesticity and families?

Careful Korea, you'll strain something. Possibly your own culture and film industry.

I should stop having expectations of Korea, they keep surprising me.

Runners up: Korea letting OnlyOneOf do Bump Up Business not to mention that OmegaX thing. AND Korea adapting Why R U? What are you up to, Korea? Qua? Is this a coded message? Should we send help? Do you need snacks?

3. Biggest casting whoa! where did you come from? award:

GeminiFourth in My School President.

Seriously? Babies what? How did GMMTV find you? How do you exist? How is BL this lucky?

4. That studio did WHAT now? award:

GMMTV putting EarthMix into Moonlight Chicken.

And then doubling down with G4 as the damn sides.

Fucking genius.

5. I’m sad you were ignored award:

Destiny Seeker.

It's just a really fun little Thai pulp, the pairs were good, silly dialogue, plus consent and other good rep. I enjoyed it. No one talked about it AT ALL.

6. 2023 BL That Actually Made Me Lose My Mind Award?

Laws of Attraction. -The casting, the crazy story, the soapy drama! But specifically: Film playing Charn - the range of his smiles alone. GLORIOUS

I mean I Feel You Linger in the Air also sparked something in me, but LoA drove me actually nuts.

7. Best story 2023:

La Pluie

I know, you're surprised, right? At the time I didn't chat much about it but I really enjoyed the discourse others were having. I love anything that really examines the fated mates (soulmates) trope and the idea of "the one". What a clever way to do that. (This is one reason UWMA is my favorite Thai BL.)

This one reminded me of the way Color Rush approached allegory and that's no bad thing. Such an impressive little piece.

8. Best narrative structure 2023 award:

Unintentional Love Story.

I know this may seem a simplistic pick. But I love the tidiness of this no frills contemporary romance, how the culture of work and personal ethics and corruption fight against the main character's affection and integrity. Poor baby boy is driven into a corner and then punished for it. But it is punishment he feels he deserves, and so it is up to his (now) ex to figure out what went wrong and why.

It's just great. I love it when no one is stupid or wrong, it's just impossible circumstances and unintentional love deeply felt.

9. Best 2023 dialogue (script) award:

Jun & Jun

Never before has Korea laced a BL with that much perfectly executed innuendo. It was a master class. I didn't know you could be that lascivious in Korean, quite frankly. Plus the way the 2 Juns constantly seamlessly transition between formal register (work, public - where they are boss/employee) to informal register (when they are alone and age mates + childhood sweethearts).

Beautiful to hear and watch.

10. Favorite scene 2023:

The dub con scene in I Cannot Reach You because I AM TRASH for an out of control seme. I'm sorry I just AM.

I have said it before, I will say it again, NO ONE DOES THIRST like Japan. And when that thirst bubbles over, it is heart-clenching and very hot.

11. The most rewatchable BL of 2023 award:

Our Dating Sim

That scene where they lie on the floor + the stolen kiss + giggle? Come on, it should be on comfort repeat in war rooms. It could bring world peace.

ACTORS & CHARACTERS AWARDS

12. Best performance of a queer actor in a leading role, 2023:

Fluke in Make a Wish.

It was fun to see him as an irreverent immortal and while I love OhmFluke I also really enjoyed this new pairing. It was a genuine pleasure to watch.

13. Best pining 2023:

The moot pining in Tokyo in April is...

Boys, seriously? Japan must you destroy us like this? Hurts so good.

Runners up? Between Us, Chains of Heart, Dangerous Romance - this was a HOTLY contested category.

I just thought what type of personality is thier child like and what type of dad they are.

Example: Daniel's child will be a chubby child like he is, probably shy and cute child. Daniel would be a dad that give confident to his child so they won't exprience hardship like and also both of them will have a shenanigans of eating in the middle of the night.

Gun's child would be mini Gun but doesn't look for fight like his dad. You can say the child is more of gentleman than Gun tendency. The child probably be like "Mom, How and why did you marry dad" Points at thier father who is rampaging in fight.

Listen. I don't know whether my levels of delusion are way off with this man but he can do no wrong. He would be the best dad, best househusband. He would be harsh but fair and sooo much fun. Unfortunately your kid would be spoilt rotten with all the Big Deal Uncles and Auntie.

The kid

Like father like son/daughter. Absolute unwavering sense of right and wrong, maybe sometimes not too understanding of the shades of grey. A confident kid and heartbreaker - not purposely tho but their rizz will be off the charts like their dad. Of course a natural born leader. That runs in the family too.

Warren Chae

As a dad

Oof. If you thought he was protective over Sally then you have another thing coming. Needs a bit of talking around to give them their freedom and experiences. Apart from that you really can't complain. Warren has an infinite amount of patience. Also reads to them all the time to stop himself missing out words.

The kid

The cutest kind-hearted little soul! Would just be so nice and sweet! Super well adjusted and surrounded by loving adults (Hostel), and also Grandpa Manager Kim. Yknow the kids who are also constantly dirty? Like constant speck of dirt on their face? Yeah also that.

Samuel Seo

As a dad

It might be better if you're a single parent because he is gonna pass on some gnarly generational trauma. Your child will either end up like a mini-Samuel or fingers crossed there will be shitloads of therapy (for daddy and child).

The kid

Strives for perfection, and super ambitious. There's no avoiding some traits. Another natural leader, but rules less with an iron first than Sammy. Would be vain af, and looks after their appearance a LOT. A bit shallow and judgemental but will eventually grow out of it.

Goo Kim

As a dad

Shrewd af and always knows what's going on. Good luck to their kid because there is no lying to Goo. He'll play along and then drop the hammer. However, a bit too lenient so you would have to be the disciplinarian. Lets the kid just get on with things and learn by experience. "Oh you wanna play with the sword? Have fun!" "GOO NO-!"

The kid

Little shit. Sorry there's just no way they wouldn't be a mouthy little asshole. Goo would make sure they respect the parents, but otherwise they are a danger to society. A troublemaker. Figures out all the loopholes to any rules and laws... A constant headache but you can't help but be impressed.

Gun Park

As a dad

Does a lot of research before their kid is born. This guy is pretty thorough with things he is interested in, so if he's taking an active part in the kid's life then he will be meticiulous. Initially. Then, like Goo, will let their kid make their own mistakes. Otherwise, very hands on, doesn't believe in outdated parental roles. After all, this is Gun's ultimate masterpiece.

The kid

Christ. This kid could be the most intimidating child to have ever lived. Not as intense as their dad, but they are playing 5D chess while everyone else is just learning their shapes and numbers. They're cocky and confident, with the skills to back it up.

Ryuhei Kuroda

As a dad

Extremely similar to Goo imo. Would also love to embarrass the kid. Not purposely mind, just he can't keep his hands off or kissing you and no kid needs to see their parents so grossly in love.

The kid

An absolute menace, just like their dad. Huge prankster, mostly harmless. Don't get them together with Goo's kid because jfc they would be absolute terrors together. Unlike their dad in his youth, they would respect the shit out of women. You've seen to that.

Eugene

As a dad

Probably a little cold and severe, putting a bit too much emphasis on grades and perfection. Despite that, would actually be pretty good. Someone that reads up a lot on how to raise a kid, bonding with them etc etc. to form a somewhat healthy relationship.

The kid

Private school little wunderkind. Will grow up with the absolute best of everything and spoilt too so you would need to keep them grounded. Expected to take over Workers. Business acument and ambition will be drilled into them from an early age.

Vasco

As a dad

What is there to say about Tabasco that we don't already know. Would dote on them hand and foot. An absolute pushover! Their kid pulls out the puppy eyes and it's game over. Would teach them to protect themselves but probably draw the line at anything more.

The kid

Really creative? Vasco would place less emphasis on grades and would help to nurture their interest in the arts. But actually super smart too thanks to Uncle Jace's influence. Tbh I think the kid would be pretty perfect and with the kindest heart and stands up to bullies just like dad!

Zack Lee

As a dad

So so similar to Vasco. Has all these ideas on what they should and shouldn't do as a parent. Kid pops out, and Zack's a goner. Literally would do anything and everything for their child. Go absolutely crazy with pride if the kid is interested in boxing.

The kid

Would have no game... Like dad. Sorry. Good job they would be good looking af to even it out. Not a huge emphasis on education and grades thanks to Zack's influence. More focused on athletics. A little shallow and arrogant, but a huge softy underneath.

Johan Seong

As a dad

Panic and anxiety from the day their kid was born and every day after. First because of worrying about their eyes, second because he's just not comfortable with having an actual dependent. Tries to teach them about the evils of the world. Eventually chills out overall and reverts back to being the gentle-hearted boy he used to be.

The kid

For practical reasons, taught braille from an early age just in case. But otherwise a mini-Johan but without the trauma. Very softly spoken and sweet. Just an absolute ray of sunshine. Always accompanied by their dog, their bff and partner when a fight arises.

It was indescribable torture.

Lucifer liked to think he was a rather simple demon. He didn’t have many needs. He wanted his brothers to be safe and happy. He wanted Diavolo to have what he needed to succeed. Perhaps his greatest luxuries were a nice Demonus or a rare record. No, Lucifer had never been one to spend time on frivolities, even when he’d been an angel.

Then he met you.

And now his days are filled with a constant, aggravating, gnawing need. A need to hear your voice. To see your smile. To feel your breath dance over his knuckles when you sit beside him and give a hard exhale that you think is covering up the fact that you are laughing. When you’re gone he finds himself fixated, wondering what you would think or say at every moment of his day. His thoughts wander to the things he wants to share with you, debating with himself what will make you beam and what will earn a crinkle of your nose. When you return, his thoughts run mad with the furious goal of finding any excuse at all to touch you.

He had foolishly thought that once you returned his feelings, the madness would fade, or at least become manageable. A laughable hope, looking back now. His starvation has only grown deeper, until he found himself unable to resist ravishing you at the end of the night like a demon much younger and less refined than he.

Watching you quiver for him. The flush of your chest after he’s played you to orgasm like the most supple instrument. The sweetness of your moans, a sound he would put to vinyl and play over and over again if he could. Perhaps he will one day. Play it while he does his paperwork. Perhaps he would be more productive than now, when in silence his thoughts rifle through the most lewd images that have ever haunted him in his many years.

That one he’s going to blame on being a demon.

When you’re together, it feels like you’re two planets locked in orbit of one another, circling in a maddening dance for lack of a star. He would claim that you were his sun around which he now orbits, but he knows better than to suggest such a thing to you. You claim to be just as infatuated with him, but Lucifer can’t imagine that’s true. Surely if you were as crazed as he, neither of you would ever be able to get a thing done.

He fantasizes constantly about taking you away somewhere. Not forever, of course. In truth, he loves watching his brothers with you. He loves how happy you make them, how gentle you are with their moods, the way you effortlessly orchestrate a room to ensure everyone is at peace. Despite his occasional selfish desires, he’d never try to keep you away from them forever.

Now for a week or two. Maybe a month. Yes, he’d absolutely do that.

Go somewhere just the two of you, where he can release his restraint and worship you as you deserve and as he desires. He’d spend hours just touching you, learning every freckle, every tiny scar, what places make you gasp and which make you moan. And then he’d fuck you. He’d fuck you until the madness sated and he could enjoy holding you close and rocking into you slowly, squeezing your hand together and finally telling you exactly what you mean to him as he fills you again and again.

Ah. There he goes again. Drawn into the fantasies that play on loop in his mind.

Lucifer sets down his pen and drops his head back, rubbing his eyes and giving a long exhale.

He starts at your voice, dropping his hand to see you hovering at his office door with a concerned frown on your face.

“What’s wrong? Are you tired?” you ask him, your concern so genuine, so adoring, it physically aches in his chest. For a long moment he just looks at you, drinking you in. When he speaks it is softly, the words barely audible where you stand.

Tattoo parlor au where Hawk books an appointment with Reader as a new client and she tells him a lot of artists never wnat her back. He thinks she must be difficult, but she actually super sweet and good to work with, it isn't until he gets her in the chair does he understand what went wrong before.

Everyone outside of his room is left wondering wtf they are doing in there because Reader just is constantly moaning and it gets even louder when he hits an especially sensitive spot. Robby can't work for it, Demetri is in destress just naturally and even more so now, Migue is scared of what's behind that door and Tory is just plain annoyed.

But what can they do? They can't kick her out, she's a paying customer. And Hawk is so nice to her, he feels bad that all those other artists didn't wanna work with her again just because she moans during a session. He ones up them and tells her that she can come back any time she wants.

last twilight ep 5 thoughts feelings etc.

eyy actually watched this earlier and rewatching it, so things should be a little less feral and unhinged. actually took notes my first watch through as well (wtf am i doing)

once again i love how stories are our constant companions in this show. i love how they keep playing with the parallels between worlds, it's one of my absolute favorite things in storytelling.

i love the fact that day is now 'invisible' in the world of badminton but he can still experience all of the joy of the game by supporting his friends. badminton was such a big part of his life and he doesn't have to leave it all behind, he just experiences it a little differently now.

so i said it last week but the only time we've ever seen mhok be violent is when he's been protecting the people close to him. (his garage bro, porjai x 2, etc) and we see him ready to do it again when august confronts day. there is no doubt in my mind that mhok was fully prepared to bury that bitch for even daring to make day the slightest bit afraid.

and god how scary does that have to be? you can't see, you're already nervous to be here, and suddenly someone is shouting at you - and maybe you don't recognize them at first because you haven't heard their voice in over a year but all you know is they're coming closer and they're so angry. i can't imagine anything scarier than that.

ahh, a broken picture frame representing a broken bond, an absolute classic metaphor. an oldie but a goodie.

once again i love that we see day's rage. anger really is such a big part of coming to terms with being disabled. i got some bad news a few weeks ago about my own disease and i've spent the last few weeks so angry and frustrated and then just sad. it's such a complex journey and the show is doing an absolutely brilliant job of showing that.

i do owe day's family a small smidgen of an apology since day is the one that asked it to be kept a secret, HOWEVER, i do think that conversation should have been revisited after a fucking year. how long were they just going to let him live in isolation? like cool for respecting his agency, not cool for letting him waste away in a tomb of his own making.

FINALLY WE GET MHOK OPENING UP.

so here's the thing with mhok. i love him. no - the real thing is i see so much of myself in him. my friends and family constantly get frustrated with me because i will never tell them when something is wrong or when i'm shouldering a lot of emotions about something. when i got the bad news about my disease i hid in my office and cried at my desk and then cleaned myself up and pretended nothing happened. fuck, i feel like i understand mhok on such a deep level.

not to get too into it but my own habits stem from neglect in my formative years, and i have to wonder if mhok's behavior maybe stems from his isolation in prison? oftentimes people with these behavior patterns will self isolate, either deal with or bury their emotions, and then emerge back into their friend group as if nothing happened. (am i talking about myself again? shhh.) mhok didn't really have a choice - sure you can write letters, have visitors, but a large part of his day was probably handling his grief in solitude. he's probably gotten so good at "handling it" and pushing everything down and dealing with everything in silence that he doesn't know how to handle it any other way now.

to make things worse, it happened over a year ago. he probably feels like he should be "over it" and not make it a big deal. maybe i'm projecting just a smidge (just a lot) but i do think it's something interesting to keep in mind. either way, him finally talking about rung to day is fucking MASSIVE, both for their relationship and mhok's emotional wellbeing.

august is fucking king of mixed signals and i don't super like that he looked for mhok's permission to lead day through the court. why the fuck are you looking at mhok when you could just ask day? if you look closely, as mhok is letting go day curls his fingers around the hand that mhok uses to remove his hand from his arm.

i do love we see mhok pushing day a little more out of his comfort zone as he did in earlier episodes.

porjai is so fucking pretty. is there anything more attractive than a woman in shorts and an oversized band tee? no. no there is not.

and again we see how much time and effort mhok has put into being day's caretaker - and his friend. he did research and learned methods that would make dining out easier for day. i love him so much! i don't know how day could still be thinking about august after that adorable little date.

UGH OKAY SO. HERE'S WHERE WE GET INTO MY BIG FEELINGS.

in my opinion, the theme of this episode has been "being late." here's why.

the boys were very nearly, or were, late to gee's badminton game

you could consider mhok 'late' to tell day about rung

day thinks he's too late to confess to august

mhok realizes he's come into day's life too late to receive his affection

and then we have august's literal late arrival (i still dont know what fucking game this jackass is playing)

this also ties in to a little trend i've been noticing in regards to mhok that oftentimes he's too late in life.

he was too late to save rung, and learned of her death late

he was too late to receive the mechanic job as it had 'already been given to someone else'

he was a late arrival to the interview to become day's caretaker

and again, he's entered day's life too late to receive his affection (or so he thinks)

i genuinely don't know if this is intentional, but i think it's something interesting to draw connections to.

anyway, again, i dont know what the fuck august's deal is but i can tell you if i was day i'd be getting over my feelings for him real fucking quick. i don't super like that august shows up, hears about day's feelings, and asks mhok to keep his being there a secret - but i do understand it and i do understand mhok's side of things. i don't think he does it out of his own selfishness, i think rather he realizes august likely doesn't return day's affection and letting him think august didn't show up is possibly the kinder of the two scenarios. (my only hope is we don't see august return and try to woo day or something later with this knowledge)

i do love that mhok stayed. he was concerned and it might seem a little overbearing but day was clearly nervous for this outing and all in all it's good that he stayed. and then he made sure to salvage the evening for day and take him out on a proper date. maybe it's not the date day wanted but it looks like he had a great time (perhaps even a better time) spending a day with someone he could relax and be himself around.

flowers have so many different meanings across cultures and tbh i'm far to tired to dig into the thai meaning of hydrangeas (if there are any) but i do think hydrangeas are neat. this is prob common knowledge but the color of hydrangea petals is determined by the ph balance in the soil they're grown in. (blue hydrangeas grow in soil with a ph balance of 5.2-5.5, far more in the base range than red hydrangeas that grow in a ph balance of 6.0-6.2, and once the soil reaches acidic levels it tends to produce pink flowers) i guess maybe if you wanted you could draw a connection to how malleable mhok is becoming and how his environment is changing him.

scientifically, sunflowers are also an interesting flower because they are often used to heal damaged and irradiated soil. they're so fucking resilient and help heal the world around them. i think there's a lot of connections we can make there with both mhok and day, regardless of flower symbolism and going purely on science.

anyway sorry to be a science nerd.

that's all ive really got for this episode, i say, as if i have not written you all a novel. this show continues to make me feel so much and tickle my brain in such a delightful way. between this and moonlight chicken p'aof has definitely made me a fan for life.

no okay so imagine it’s driver reader, she’s in f2 but is also the hottest girl to ever exist. like im picturing madison beer/megan fox type hot. the other drivers have met her on occasion and all follow her and always talk ab how hot she is and how she’s their dream girl and they all act super tough thinking they’ll be able to score a date w her but it ofc never works for them lol. oscars so smug hearing them all talk ab how hot she is knowing she’s his and only his. and he’s the only one that makes her beg and cry for him to fuck her.

anyways yk how oscars always talking ab his gf irl, bringing her up in interviews and stuff. imagine it’s the same in this au- he’s always like “my girlfriend did this for me” or “my girlfriend took that pic” etc in interviews or challenges or whatever.

one day they’re at some event w all the f1 and f2 drivers and maybe some journalists are there and she’s all over oscar. and this bitchy journalist starts attacking her like “he has a girlfriend wtf is wrong with u” and basically calling her a slut and scoffing at her saying hot girls always think they’re entitled to everything when really everyone knows it’s coming from a place of jealousy instead of girl code and she just cocks her head like “who do you think his gf is?” And he just so dramatically goes “hey baby” and leans in to open mouth tongue kiss her in front of everyone and all of their jaws just drop when it clicks bc how the HELL did oscar manage to pull her?

n she’s like it’s always the quiet ones ;) and winks and struts away n he smirks and just follows her

her being kinda like a playboy?? she’s never publicly dated someone but flirts with everyone just to see them blush and stutter. anytime she’s asked about her relationship status, she tells them that she’s committed to racing and doesn’t have time for a relationship. i like to think she’d get reallly popular because she’s so pretty like as soon as she starts winning races and working her way up the ranks, everyone wants a piece of her. rumors about her dating her teammates and other drivers or random celebs who liked her posts pop up all the time and she’s always quick to shut them down.

love the idea of her being a bit of an influencer like her instagram game is on point, perfect matching theme that goes back years. and then suddenly theres a guy on her page and she’s in her soft launch era but she’s a menace so it’s like pictures of the hickeys on his chest while she straddles him. for like a year straight she’s posting raunchy photos of them with their faces cropped out while still being like "yea i don’t have a boyfriend!" but oscar is constantly talking about his girlfriend and how much he loves her. complete opposites.

so then when they're spotted with her hanging off him for days in a row at some weekend long event or a race weekend maybe, people are talking about it online wondering why he's letting her hang off him like that when he's got a girlfriend. people mad at her for trying to ruin his relationship. so many memes about his "girlfriend" seeing it on the tv and crying herself to sleep.

and then, cameras catch her kissing him and immediately it gets so much worse. twitter is trending with their names, everyone is wondering why the hot shot f2 driver is macking on the rookie mclaren driver on international tv when minutes before he was talking about how much he loves his girlfriend in an interview. someone has the balls to confront them but gets so embarrassed when he's like "not that it's any of your business, but this is my girlfriend." and they'd apologize but she's kinda nice for once and tells them they have nothing to apologize for bc literally no one knew! they'd probably do an interview to answer questions ab their secret relationship and she makes sm dirty jokes about him and how everyone is like. shocked by the things she says about him? and he just sits there smiling and blushing.

this is toxic and kinda ab cheating but i like to imagine her crushing on oscar and him having a girlfriend so she gets asked in an interview if she has any crushes or smth and she says him. the interviewer is like “aw well too bad he’s got a girlfriend!” and she just says “okay and? he can call me when they breakup, he has my number.” and it starts sm drama with everyone talking about how hot girls think they can do whatever they want and ruin relationships and blah blah blah. and then his relationship ends bc he doesn't see how it's a problem to just have her number saved in his phone. they'd have talked years before when they raced in the same leagues before he got bumped up faster, so she's just a stranger to him. but girlfriend ends up breaking things off because it becomes a running joke that the woman leading the f2 championship is just waiting for oscar piastri while every one else pines after her. even lando and logan are making jokes ab how ofc its him that she has a crush on, the one guy who has been in a relationship since school.

The sun was bright upon Dragonstone, its heated rays casting a foggy aura around the island. Many wished to visit the sea and cool off or stay indoors to prevent the sunburns that the weather would cause. Alas, for the young princes, it was training day.

Metal clashed, tunics were nearly cut and loud shouts sounded from a small beach. Brown curls ducked as a sword slashed near, only to trip over a stone and fall back onto the sand. A grunt came from the boy, letting go of his sword out of surprise. “Oh gods, are you alright?” Jacaerys said, reaching for his brother. Lucerys, the boy now on his elbows covered in sand, waved his brother off, “Yeah, yeah I’m fine. Twas only a slip.”

His brother looked unconvinced, his brows raised in questioning. Lucerys only handed him his sword, “I think that's where I end our training today. This heat is getting to me.” It was true, every hour they spent in the blistering heat, Lucerys’ headache grew worse. It felt as though someone was throwing rocks at his head and would not stop.

Jacaerys picked up Lucerys sword, “I’ll meet you there, don't rush, okay?” He sounded like mother. “Yes, yes! Now bugger off!!” Lucerys waved him off yet again, this time more forceful and playfully. As he stood, he heard his brother yell as he walked home, “Don't get washed away!”

Lucerys sighed and laughed inwardly, putting his hands on his hips and shaking his head. Brushing back his curls, he decided to go for a walk along the shoreline. The sound of the waves, he believed, would help soothe his headache.

Later that day, the sun decided to mellow its relentless heat. Clouds began to gather in the sky, bringing shade for people to enjoy. Lucerys still walked, enjoying the breeze the clouds brought. It was so serene, only the ocean beside him and the birds above made noise.

Looking up, Lucerys saw a gull above him. He smiled, wondering what it was like to be in the air constantly. Although he had Arrax and went flying every other day, he wondered what it would feel like to fly alone without assistance. He watched as the gull took a look at him and screeched, flying down into the ocean. Lucerys sighed and closed his eyes, breathing in the sea air.

“There you are!!”

A loud shout came from his right. Opening his eyes, he turned towards the voice, the wind blowing his hair into his eyes. Vaguely, he could see someone running towards him, their dress flowing as they held a basket in their hands. When you reached his side, you could only laugh at the sight.

“You look like a mop.”

It wasn't like you were wrong. His hair was curly, brown and all over his face. Lucerys pouted, finally managing to brush out his hair from his eyes. “You are so horrible.”

You only smiled, laughing under your breath. You held your arm out, indicating for him to lace his arm through the gap. Holding the basket in your other hand, Lucerys joined arms and walked with you.

Your breath hadn't returned to you fully yet, your lungs heaving still. You had ran to the kitchens as soon as Jacaerys had told you of Luke’s fall. Plucking treats the kitchen staff turned a blind eye to and stashing them away in a woven basket, you had hastily made your way to the beach to find your wandering love.

“Did you run to find me?” Lucerys asked, having picked up on the obvious fact that you were out of breath. You nodded, taking deep breaths. “Yes, I couldn't just let you wander the beach alone. So naturally, I had to follow.” Luke smiled at you, “Any other reason?”

“Well. Let's just say the Septa was a pain in my backside.” You giggled to yourselves, resting your heads together as you walked. Soon, the two of you chose to sit under the cliff, shade now resting underneath. Laying out the cloak you stole from one of the sleeping guards, you began to sieve through the basket.

“Now, you are very lucky Mr,” you twirled your finger in front of Lucerys face, ”I almost got caught taking this, so you better appreciate my hard work! Now, close your eyes!” Lucerys was puzzled, “This food is so grand I must close my eyes?” He chuckled. “Yes, do it before I pluck them out and make you look like your uncle.” That shut him up quickly and his eyes were closed.

Lucerys heard cloth unravel and felt a weight upon his lap. Furrowing his brows and smiling to himself, he thought of all the possible things you could have gifted him. Most thoughts were.. Quite strange. You tapped him, “Go on, open up!”

His brown eyes fluttered open, becoming wide as he stared at his lap. There before him lay a slice of cake. This wasn't just any cake, no no no. It was Lucerys favourite; Cheesecake. A smile quickly adorned his face as he moved the cheesecake off of him, placing his hands on your face and surging forwards, placing kiss after kiss on your cheeks. “Thank you, thank you, thank youuuu!!” He cried between kisses, his smile still wide. You giggled and swatted him, “As much as I love the attention, you best eat your cake before a gull steals it!”

Settling, he placed one last kiss on your forehead before picking up his cake, happily munching down and moaning at the taste. You watched him calmly, a smile graced your face too. You hadn't brought any food for yourself seeing as you had eaten before you began your marathon down the steps of the castle to find your beloved.

Lucerys saw this and wiped his mouth, “Where is your piece?” He asked, placing his hand over his mouth so he didn't spray you with crumbs. “Didn’t bring any apart from that.” You said blatantly. Lucerys looked gobsmacked, you bring him a cake and nothing for yourself?!

Making a sound of disagreement, he held the rest of the cake out to you, “Have it!!”

“No!”

“Yes!”

“No!”

“YES!!”

Before you could scream another ‘no’, Lucerys scoffed the rest of the cake before kissing you. It surprised you and caused you to fall back upon the sand, Lucerys now on top of you. You lay there for a few moments, hands holding each other's faces and chasing each other’s lips until you lost your breath. When you finally separated, you made a face of disdain as you said, “I want cake now.”

Lucerys laughed, his hands drawing circles on your cheeks, “My evil plan has worked!”

Shoving his chest playfully, you meekly asked, “Can we go see if there's any left?” Lucerys pulled you to your feet and began to shove the cake cloth and the knight's cloak into the basket, “We might have a chance to get the scraps if we run.” You both burst out laughing as you legged it back to the castle, holding hands tightly and praying Jacaerys hadn't scoffed it all.

Manjiro Sano wasn’t exactly one to get incredibly jealous.

Sure, he may get pouty sometimes, but he rarely gets truly angry because of jealousy.

He just had no reason too. He was the leader of one of the best gangs in Tokyo, he had amazing friends, and he was interested in someone who clearly brought out the best him. If anything, his life was as could as it get right now.

The only way it could get better was to become official with the person he was interested in….you.

You had always been someone to stand by him. You always fought for or with him, and when he was down, you were always the one who picked him up. You were truly the best most beautiful person in Mikey’s life, and Mikey wanted nothing more than to stay with you forever.

That’s why he sort’ve why he let his feelings come to light.

He didn’t exactly say he loves you, but he made it as clear as could be. He stared at you constantly, he always kept an arm around you, he always talked about you in a more-than-friend way, hell, he’s gotten so close to kissing you that Draken started taking pictures.

Mikey thought he had made his feelings very clear. But somehow it wasn’t enough, because here you were, out with not one, but BOTH of the Haitani brothers, clearly flirting.

Of all the people in the world….why them? Mikey couldn’t help but ask himself this while he watched you laugh so hard you almost peed yourself. A bright blush was on your cheeks, as you hugged and kissed both their cheeks so many times he lost count.

The blonde couldn’t take his eyes off the sight. Not only had you just betrayed Toman, but you also managed to shatter Mikey’s heart into pieces in an instant.

Just how long had you been helping Tenjuku? How long had you been toying with Toman? How long had you been toying with Mikey? The thought of it all just hurt him so much that he thought he would truly vomit.

The longer he watched, the sicker he felt. Very quickly though, Mikey saw red.

He no longer moped in sadness, but in absolute anger. He was doing everything in his power to not just snap right there and then.

Unfortunately, when Mikey saw you get up and walk towards an ice cream truck, presumably for the three of you, he just couldn’t hold back. Mikey marched right up to you, grabbed your wrist and just went off.

“HOW COULD YOU, HUH?! YOU FUCKING TRAITOR!”

“…what?” you questioned, truly baffled by Mikey’s outburst.

“DON’T THINK I DIDN’T SEE YOU GOING OUT WITH THEM! YOU’RE REALLY FUCKING DOING THIS TO TOMAN?! I SHOULDV’E KNOWN….I SHOULD’VE KNOWN YOU DAMNED TENJUKU SPY” Mikey continued.

“Manjiro are you delusional?”

“WHA-YOU’RE THE ONE WHOSE FUCKING GOING OUT WITH THE HAITANI BROTHERS!”

“Bu-“ you tried saying, but you got cut off by Mikey, who was absolutely going bat-shit.

“I LOVE YOU Y’KNOW! I WANTED NOTHING MORE THAN TO BE WITH YOU! FUCK, I WANTED TO MARRY YOU….BUT NO! HERE YOU ARE BETRAYING EVERYONE! DAMMIT, HOW COULD I HAVE EVER LOVED A TRAITOR LIKE THAT……” Mikey trailed off. His eyes sort’ve went blank and he only stared at you, lost.

“…. you love me?”

“Shut the fuck up you Tenjuku scum” Mikey mumbled before turning away, only to be stopped by you.

“Mikey!” you yelled forcing him to face you.

“What-“

Mikey was cut off a soft, mesmerizing feeling touching his lips. He couldn’t help but melt into the feeling as he harshly kissed you back. His tongue slipped in between your lips as he fought for dominance.

Unfortunately, just as he won, you breathless pulled away, gasping.

“Mikey….” You whispered, deeply looking to Mikey’s glimmering, yet confused black eyes. Suddenly, he shook his head and angrily glared at you. “What the fuck was that?! You’re not supposed to do that you traitor!”

“But, Mikey-“

“No! Why would you do that?!” he fought back.

“MIKEY-“

“WHY?!” he began screaming.

“GOD DAMMIT MIKEY DO YOU NOT HAVE YOUR HEAD ON STARIGHT?! I DON’T LOVE THE HAITANI BROTHERS, I LOVE YOU! HOW COULD YOU NOT SEE THAT YOU DENSE ASS! AND HOW COULD BE SO STUPID TO THINK I WOULD EVER LIKE MY OWN BROTHERS! MY LAST NAME IS ‘HAITANI’ FOR FUCKS SAKE!”

For a second, everything went quiet. Everyone in the park nosily started at you and listened to your conversation, while Mikey just gave you a nervous, yet blank look. Clearly, Mikey remembered you talking about the Haitian’s being your half-brothers.

“….Oh. I forgot” Mikey blankly answered.

“You fucking Idiot”

“…I’m your idiot though” Mikey grinned, intertwining his hand with yours.

“You sure are”

From there, you stuck by your idiot boyfriend’s side, no matter what. No matter how hurt or angry he was, you always sat down and picked him up again. Even after the fight with Tenjuku…after you fought your brothers, you ran away and followed Mikey out of the battlefield.

You stuck by him through it all, and truly showed Mikey how to love. And for that, Mikey couldn’t be more grateful.

You really are the most important thing in Mikey’s life. And to think, he almost ruined everything by forgetting your last name!

Taffy being absolutely BAFFLED that Mochi and Lime aren’t dating and constantly forgetting that they’re NOT seems like a good gag

IT IS AND HES ALWAYS SO OUT OF THE LOOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at a certain point mochi and lime blurred the line so much between what they are to each other that taffys like "Oh [thing for couples] huh? Lime, what are you gonna do for mochi?" and limes like "HAHA WHAT??? Im not.......we're not.....haha...um..(visually nervous) I dont know...." and taffys there thinking "Wtf.....are they fighting? Oh wait, no, right, theyre not actually together I think? But wait, this situation still applies? Maybe? Hmm.."

(this is where oscar comes in to save him the confusion "Dude I told you-- its like theyre dating but neither of them knows it." "How is that supposed to make me less confused?")

also hes out of the loop in terms of what to say and not say to lime/mochi. like coco and oscar at this point have it baked into their head by lime like "Cant say anything.... need to let them figure it out...maybe give them a push here and there but lime will strangle me if I say anything to mochi..."

vs taffy "Hi Mochi. Lime asked me the other day about you and I was wondering why he didnt just go to you hims-(MUFFLED SOUNDS AS COCO STRANGLES HIM TO THE FLOOR)"

the other more noteable time is right after lime rejoins the guild post-timeskip and he and mochi are a bit awkward with each other. mochi takes coco and taffy on a magic commission and mentions off-handedly that it seems like lime doesnt really have time for her anymore. then taffy cuts in with the ol "Maybe he got a girlfriend?" which makes mochi 10 TIMES SADDER

coco WHACKS his arm so hard and looks at him with a face that says "Dude....WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT TO HER?!" and his face says "Why? It could be true. Do you know that he doesnt have a girlfriend?" he has NO IDEA

She asks, 'I uh, have a question.." He says quietly, "Go for it." She says, "Well, there's a certain feeling that I am experiencing right now." He says, "These certain feelings are towards to a mortal." He adds, "Hm, can you try describing what you are feeling?" Verr Goldet asks, Xiao nods. "Well, whenever I think of them I can't help but want to smile and my face suddenly heats up. Also when I think of them, my heart beats in a fast pace. I am not familiar with this, though I have heard from other mortals that it's.. love..? Is it actually, though?" He says, Verr Goldet smiles and slightly chuckles, "What you have been feeling is indeed true, Xiao." s1he says, Xiao stays silent, "Xiao, whoever that person is, can you tell me about them?" She asks, Xiao nods and moves closer to the desk, "What's their name?" She asks Xiao, "Their name is [name]." Xiao replies, Verr Goldet blinks, then smiles, " I've heard about them before! You're in for luck, Xiao, I'm fairly close to them, and they're currently in Wangshu Inn!" She says, "really?" He says slightly happy, "Yeah! Why don't you try talking to them? I'm sure you two would get along." She says, "..sure" Xiao says hesitantly, he then teleports ( wtf is that move call where he becomes like shadows or sum HELP ) to the balcony. He then sees you at the bottom, however, he decided to stay his distance and watch you from afar. You were taking some commissions accompanied by Kazuha, a good friend of yours, he was waiting for him to leave before approaching you. You and Kazuha were talking until you waved, maybe signaling he was leaving, he waved back then walked away, now is his chance. He teleports ( send help idk if thats called teleport ) close to you, but he doesn't know how to establish a conversation, so he just stands there staring at the distance, that is until someone calls out his name, "Xiao?" you call, he looks to you with slight widen eyes, "What are you doing here? Wouldn't expect to see you here, I'm pleasantly surprised!" You say, "I- uh, nothing." Xiao stutters, "Perfect! Because I've been trying to find you." You say, Xiao looks at you confusingly, "What for?" He asks, "Weellll, Verr Goldet says someone in the balcony feels lonely, and they don't socialize often, so I first thought of you! Ever since you saved me that day I wanted to be close to you." You say with a smile, "So, Xiao, can we be friends?" You ask offering a handshake, Xiao nods his head and shakes your hand, Your eyes glimmered, "Thanks, Xiao!" You say giving him a closed eyed smile ( can be w teeth shown or not, u imagine ), "Hope we can be closer in the future soon." He mumbles, "Hm? What was that? I didn't quite catch that." You ask, "Nothing, do you have any plans today?" He asks, "Oh glad you asked! Well, I was actually planning on going to the lantern rite that's coming soon! Wanna come with? Actually you don't have a choice, you're coming with me!" You say.

"Heya Xiao! At the usual place again I see." You say approaching his figure, Xiao, in the other hand, looked in deep dismay, "Xiao? You look gloomy, something happened?" You ask, "Hm? Ah, nothing. Don't worry [name]." He assures you, "You sure?" You confirm, Xiao nods. "But random question, do you like Kazuha?" Xiao asks, "Huh-?! Is it that obvious.." You say slightly agitated, "You know, it's slightly obvious you two like each other." he says, you stay silent, "Xiao." You call out to him, "Thank you for supporting me, I went here to tell you I've confessed now." You say, Xiao's eyes slightly widen, he didn't want to hear it, but, shouldn't he be happy for you? "..I see, I'm happy for the both of you. Congratulations." He says tears begging to fall. 'What is this feeling?' he thinks to himself, "Thank you, Xiao. I'll go now! I'll see you later. Bye!" You say walking away, once he's sure he doesn't hear you he let's those tears fall.

THIS okay so u can’t even blame me for this one it’s just correct. yes he’s like walking masculinity stereotype BUT he also had depth and was interesting 😌 the fanfics were SO GOOD this is when i really got into fanfiction and accidentally read smut where someone get pregnant in the hunger games 🧍‍♀️i read this one fic that was like x reader AND THEY STRAIGHT UP BOTH DIED but anyways. i read fanfics abt literally everyone thg character (read abt women and convinced myself i was still straight lmfao) but he was the stand out for me. i recently revisited this era and the fics ppl write on ao3 r INSANE omg like what is wrong with u ppl ( i say this lovingly but also wtf )

OMGOMGOMG BEST ERA OF MY LIFE u actually don’t understand u just had to be there. a solid percentage of my brain even to this day is made up of this man. this is like the stupidest thing ever but when i was like 14 i would just mirror his personality (and tone down the arsehole part obvs) so that i could get more talkative AND IT ACTUALLY WORKED nobody in the whole world will ever understand how much he means to me (i don’t rly understand it myself tbh) and ik ppl literally fuckinf despise him but i will not tolerate the dandy mott slander bc he is literally part of my core identity atp i revisit him every few months just to fully reconnect with my inner being. did anyone read Companion? that shit was crazy also i wrote a fic abt him on wattpad and people actually READ IT so anyways best era of my life it truly never got better i rly hit me peak (i had 0 friends) the few friends i had literally told me i talked abt him too much and it made them like me less 💀

this was arguably my most chill era like yea i was pretty obsessive but with marvel it’s so normalised to be so intense abt everything i kinda just fit right in. there’s too much professor fanfiction r u ppl okay 🧍‍♀️ also more actor fanfiction than i have ever seen for any other man in my LIFE but the capitalism went hard during this era the fluff was so good. arguably my most comforting era? idk i can’t rly explain that one

okay so these two r kinda completely different but also (for obvious reasons) the exact same. gotham was my most openly gay era and for that i will forever be grateful HOWEVER the kristen kringle haters were doing WAY TOO MUCH like she’s already dead why u doing her like that constantly (u will see this sentiment echoed later abt someone else hmmm i wonder who) but yea and then YES i was a paul dano lesbian (literally wasn’t out as lesbian at this point lmao) honestly this is probably the era my friends hated the most they would either awkwardly pretend to agree/care abt the shit i was saying or straight up tell me i was delusional 💀 my friends even now still call it my worst era but i LOVED IT kinda solidified my position at the bottom of the hellish secondary school hierarchy but i still had a good time. the paul dani riddler fanfics r next level tho the way ppl would just post STALKER fics constantly with like zero warnings and it was never labelled as yandere 🧍‍♀️i also got in an argument with a writer on wattpad bc they made the riddler and the oc have like a 6 year age gap and they met when she was 10 and he was like 16 💀 other than that good vibes all round

tbh this era was pretty brief i can’t fully explain what happened here like the vibes were immaculate but also insane WHY IS THERE SM YANDERE FANFIC peter parker is so nice but then in fanfics it’s like 👹 but i rly like spider-man HOWEVER this then led me to my final destination on the comphet journey…

omg were finally at the final stop the peak of comphet ( i came out as lesbian within this era ) arguably not my finest hour bc i swore i would never watch criminal minds bc the number of seasons is WAY TOO MUCH but here we are i watched it bc i read too much fanfic abt this man. i have lots of criticism for the fandom but he in himself is acc a rly good character. this was supposed to be like my ethical era but he’s acc killed like a bunch of ppl and thomas gibson is MESSY (don’t cancel me pls i say that lovingly 🫶) the haley hotchner misogyny nearly killed me off i don’t think i’ve ever been so miserable in a fandom and the fanfics kinda take feminism back a few hundred years but pretty good besides that

I started rewatching House and have now rekindled that good ol hyperfixation, and I just wanted to stop by and thank you for providing Bottom House content. I am starving for it. It's weird because I'm not normally super picky about what characters are in what sexual positions/roles, but like. [Disclaimer: Everybody should have fun and read/write what makes them happy regardless of my own preferences, fandom is about having fun, I'm not out here trying to police how people enjoy shit blah blah blah]

...But on god I just cannot imagine watching this show and walking away with the interpretation that House is a confident dom top when it feels like every other episode shows him being such a bratty sub bottom. He's his usual brand of sarcastic about it all, but his sexual jokes and his general attraction to authoritative women... How he encourages his fellows to fight back against him and put him in his place if they think he's going off the rails or that they're right and he's wrong... The neediness... Come on! Man is such a bottom. And that's not even getting into Wilson's whole predisposition to just constantly soft dom House, or just how much more interesting I find it to explore House being a needy little sub while he also has to constantly face the ableism of everyone around him-- YES, he needs someone to make him heel and to express that kind of vulnerability around, but also Wilson and Cuddy do have this tendency to assume they know what he needs and approach his vulnerability in a condescending and (Wilson especially) morally superior kind of ableist way where they just "know so much better" than him about himself and his pain and his experiences. It can make for such engaging conflict and interesting exploration of themes in a way that I just don't really see in fics that position House as a cocky asshole dom top and Wilson as a blushing little softboi, and I often turn away from top House fics because House, Wilson, and their whole dynamic just feel ooc to me.

Bottom House is just more fun to me, personally. And more sexy, I'll admit. But there's such a startling lack of it! Babygirl's show has existed for almost a decade now, and he does not get railed nearly enough in fanfic! So I want you to know I appreciate and value your contributions to the cause. You are braver than any US marine.

I can add absolutely nothing to this wonderful essay because it expresses my thoughts exactly. Apparently a majority of the original fandom back in The Old Days of the noughties watched the show and came out under the impression that House is - a dom??? Like?? WTF???? This 4 years ago backstory thing is like... “We’re going to tell you we made Kennyo suffer through utter hell that’s why he’s depressed and angry” WTF. Reading it makes the fact that Kennyo’s route is terrible, and the fact that he’s constantly kind of maligned in the other routes (they often make it seems like Nobu is not wrong, it’s Kennyo’s fault that he’s so angry on his own) just even more of a disservice and character injustice. Now I’m sad again :(

As it turns out, Kennyo originally is the one who tried to convince Nobunaga to find a peaceful resolution. He seriously preached about “ending the cycle of hatred” to Nobunaga’s face like okay. Like the whole time Nobunaga is very confrontational, but Kennyo is the one who backed off first.

Also the shogun keeps on pestering Honganji to join them to fight Nobunaga, and Kennyo is like “I said no, go away”. Even though his own followers also wanted to fight.

By the way in the Shingen route I was under the impression that Shingen just spread the news that he died and Kennyo just happens to hear about it? Well, now they tell us that Shingen specifically sent Yoshimoto to lie to Kennyo that he died WTF, like no wonder Kennyo was so angry.

Nobunaga was convinced of Kennyo’s sincerity and sent Kichou to deliver the peace agreement, and Kichou sabotaged it.

He already prepared a fake letter, but when he’s at Honganji, one of the more aggressive pro-war monks tried to kill him first. So Kichou was like “Good, we are of the same opinion”. He killed the monk, and delivered the guy’s severed arm along with the fake antagonistic letter and that’s what turned Kennyo so insane.

I guess the aggressive monk was there to make Kichou seem less bad for killing the guy? IDK, but well. Yeah... My soul is hurting skhkjfhgkdjg

I get why people are sceptical about the “Drive it out” video - this kind of thing should have been done long ago and they should provide more details on what the plans are to tackle this problem. I do think we need to give it chance though to see what they actually do.

However. I am seeing a lot of finger pointing at other drivers fanbases for being the main problem and I just wanna say… it literally not down to just one driver fanbase, it’s basically ALL OF THEM.

No driver fanbase is without toxic and disgusting fans lbr-

• a popular Charles fan page on here said Carlos needed to kill himself and had consistently made derogatory comments to him. I have now blocked them so I dunno if they are still doing it but there was definitely a severe lack of people calling them out at the time. Seemed to be one Carlos fan did and that’s when people said something.

•merc fans sent death threats to Nicky after Abu Dhabi - and I’m saying merc fans because that’s what I saw and tbh no other team fans really had a reason.. unless they just hated max so maybe I should say mostly merc fans.

•there has been racist abuse towards any driver who is not white from multiple fanbases - pretty sure I remember Alex’s family having to be told not to look at comments on any socials because people were saying they eat cats amongst other things, and the amount of people who were awful to Zhou when he was announced by Alfa Romeo was insane. Can’t mention racist abuse without mentioning Lewis - the fact there are people who think it’s okay to call him slurs is vile. I get people don’t like have to like him, but the fact some peoples first insult to him is racist will never make sense and shows more about that person than Lewis. I do see this more on twitter tbh.

•people constantly wishing drivers to crash… even after Silverstone this year! Wtf is wrong with those people?! Drivers have died - most drivers on the grid know someone who has died from this in their career. I usually only see other drivers fans call out people who say that. Fans of the same driver seem to be quiet most of the time.

•Lando fans vs Daniel fans on the regular and they get really nasty. I’m fed up of the war going on between them.

•Lewis fans vs max fans CONSTANTLY at it when at least those drivers can show respect towards one another. They might not be friends but they seem way more mature than some of their fanbases. I know there are respectful fans on both sides and I actually interact with some (lbr, their teams are the ones typically in the media making little comments anyway) - but there are definitely those who act like either driver murdered that persons entire family and is the reason for every war ever to happen. Like my god, some people need to touch grass.

•Carlos vs Charles fans - so many people were mad about Silverstone for Charles… but the truth ferrari fucked up and that doesn’t mean Carlos didn’t deserve a win. Vice versa - I’ve seen some Carlos fans hating on Charles when something happens that affects his race.

There are so many more examples but I’d literally be constantly listing so I’ve put the ones I’ve seen most and some examples that have just stood out to me.

Instead of pointing the finger at each other, which does absolutely nothing but causing fights, actually hold fans accountable for their words. Not just of drivers you don’t like, but people who support your driver. All that person is doing is contributing to the toxic and hateful environment that seems to be all I see when I now go online. All it does is create a bad name for the driver and make people think all the fans of that driver behave that way. I’m sick of coming online and wondering what fucking fan war I’m about to witness and what happened when I was offline.

And I know people will say “but this drivers fans are worse”, I DONT CARE. I’ve said what I’ve said. It’s about making EVERYONE accountable for their words/actions instead of just the fans of drivers you don’t like. If you don’t hold everyone accountable, even if you’re friends with someone saying this toxic stuff, you’re part of the problem. that does include drivers too - but some people are very picky on which driver they think needs to be held accountable and which doesn’t… which makes no sense. Either hold every driver to that same standard or none of them, don’t pick and choose which driver needs accountability and which doesn’t
