Welp, this is officially the last post before the grand finale. We've come so far and it's been awesome.
CW: Implied sex and sexual content. No smut though.
First Day, Previous Day, & Next Day.
Day 28: Secret Surprise
You drummed your fingers on the edge of the table impatiently while waiting for the person on the other end of the phone to pick up. You had a very narrow window of opportunity right now before Papyrus realized his phone was missing and you wanted this to be a surprise.
After a few rings, the call was picked up, much to your relief.
"Hey Paps, what's shaking?" the distinct growly tone of Undyne's voice echoed from the speaker.
Keeping your voice low to minimize Papyrus overhearing, you answered quickly. "Hey, sorry it's Rihanna, not Paps."
Undyne's tone of voice immediately grew more serious. "Oh. Why are you calling? Did something happen?" she asked with a distinct calmness that spoke of years of experience with this kind of thing.
"No, no, everything is fine. I just... I need a favour if you don't mind me asking."
The fish lady fell silent for a solid five seconds. "What kind of favour?" she finally asked again.
"Well, you see, I want to plan a surprise for Papyrus and I was wondering if you'd be willing to let Frisk hang out with you for a few hours?" Your voice grew slightly more high pitched at the end of your question and you crossed your fingers.
"...Really? You trust me that much?" Undyne definitely seemed shocked you'd actually asked the question in the first place.
"Yeah, besides, Alphys' Lab probably isn't the best place for a mischievous six year old."
Undyne let out a quick bark of laughter. "Well, you got at least some common sense it seems. Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on the kid for you."
You breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you so much! I'm sorry this is so short notice but I couldn't exactly contact you before now."
"Don't sweat it. I'll come pick them up after work, sound good?"
"Sounds perfect! I can't exactly pay you for your time though..."
Undyne chuckled quietly, "Eh, we can work something out later. Watching kids is a piece of cake anyways and I doubt Frisk will be any different."
You chuckled as well, deciding against mentioning that Frisk was probably much different than any other kid she'd met before. "Well, alright then. I'll see you soon."
"Totally, see ya, punk!"
The line went dead with a click and you quickly set Papyrus' phone back where he'd left it, as if nothing had happened at all. Now, you just had to convince Sans to either not come home immediately after work or to leave you and Papyrus alone for a little bit. That would probably be much easier, considering he generally preferred to spend time at Grillby's anyways.
< ~ - . - ~ >
True to her word, Undyne came to pick up Frisk and she was even a bit earlier than you expected. You thanked her profusely for going out of her way to help you but she merely waved you off. While Frisk seemed a bit confused at first, they ultimately seemed happy to go with Undyne, which you were relieved by.
You started on dinner as soon as they were gone. There weren't many recipes you knew how to make from scratch, but you remembered a couple that your mom used to make all the time when you were a kid. You decided to keep it simple though and decided on pasta with alfredo sauce. You dressed it up a bit with some grilled meat that you thought was similar to chicken and steamed some vegetables as a side dish.
You finished in record time and actually felt quite proud of yourself. It had been a while since you'd actually cooked a meal for anyone else and it seemed like you still had it.
You set everything in the oven to try and keep it warm. You'd already arranged a couple of candles on the kitchen table and set up two place settings. Now all there was to do was wait for Papyrus to return home.
You turned off the kitchen lights to hide what you'd set up and quickly hurried to the bathroom to change. Normally, you wore incredibly casual clothes around the house like a sweater and leggings, but recently, Papyrus had gifted you something a bit fancier, although you hadn't found a good time to wear it.
It was an off the shoulder black dress with a ruffle across the chest where the sleeves were and a few ruffles on the skirt part that went halfway down your calves. It wasn't that fancy but you actually preferred that, as you had never been comfortable enough to wear cocktail dresses and expose that much skin in the past. However, now that you were in a relationship, you didn't mind showing off your assets a little bit, at least in private anyways.
You brushed your hair and did it up in a quick side braid to keep it out of the way. While you wanted to do something with makeup, you hadn't been able to find many products similar to the ones you preferred on the surface yet. Still, you had managed to find some basics like foundation that was fairly close to your natural skin tone, some blush, and a rather nice red lipstick that you actually preferred over any you'd tried in the past.
You had just barely finished getting ready when you heard the front door open, signalling that Papyrus had returned home at last. Peeking out the bathroom door, you called out to get his attention. "Welcome home, Sweetie!"
He glanced up at you and smiled warmly, although you noticed he seemed curious about what was going on. He always had been pretty observant and even though he couldn't see that you were dressed up yet, he had immediately zeroed in on the fact that you were wearing makeup.
You almost never wore makeup anymore, let alone dress up unless there was a reason to. So this was already a step above the norm for you.
"I hope you don't mind, but I made dinner already. If you want to get into something more comfortable or maybe dress up, we can eat afterwards."
His smile seemed to grow slightly at the thought. "That Sounds Wonderful, Precious," he responded.
You waited until he entered his room before going downstairs to the kitchen again. After making sure that everything was still hot, you portioned out the food and lit the candles.
Papyrus entered the kitchen just then and you turned to smile at him. He had put on a black collared shirt, but had left the top two buttons undone and rolled up his sleeves to his elbows.
You felt your heart do summersaults in your chest and bit your lower lip. From the beginning, you'd kind of liked how he looked but now, well you definitely liked what you saw. Never in your wildest dreams had you imagined you'd be attracted to a skeleton and yet here you were.
He embraced you warmly before pulling you closer for a tender kiss. After separating again, he flashed you a genuinely happy smile. "Is This For A Special Occasion?" he inquired.
You shook your head and chuckled. "Not specifically, I just wanted to set up a surprise for you, especially because you usually do most of the cooking anyways."
"I Love It And I Cannot Wait To See What You Made Tonight."
You grinned and motioned to the table before taking a seat. Papyrus sat across from you and so you explained each part of the dinner, including the preparation you'd had to do to make it. He listened with rapt attention and to your delight, seemed to really enjoy eating it.
Afterwards, you spent a while just talking with each other. You couldn't help but notice how close Papyrus was and how he kept trying to move closer to you. Not only that, but he made a point of touching you, like holding your hands or practically playing footsie at points. Unsurprisingly, you liked this and responded in kind, which only escalated the situation further, not that either of you minded.
< ~ - . - ~ >
This had been fun.
You let out a soft sigh of contentment and pulled the covers a bit more over your bare shoulders. Papyrus hummed quietly and pulled you closer to his ribcage. A slight shiver ran down your spine as his claws pressed into your curves but you didn't mind in the slightest.
You definitely loved this skeleton.
If course this quiet moment was ruined when his phone vibrated from the bedside table. You only protested a little bit when he had to untangle himself from you to check the message.
He made a quiet "Huh" sound and glanced down at you. "I Had Wondered Where Frisk Was... Did You Seriously Ask Undyne To Look After Them?" he asked with a tinge of amusement in his tone.
You grinned, "Maybe... It was either her or Alphys and I think she's a better choice. Not that I have anything against Alphys, she just doesn't strike me as the type to enjoy entertaining kids, you know?"
Papyrus nodded in agreement. "You Have A Good Point There," he commented thoughtfully as he shifted and moved to get up.
When you shot him a questioning look, he smiled and stroked your cheek affectionately. "She Is Coming To Drop Frisk Off Before It Gets Too Much Later In The Evening. I Do Not Know About You, But I Would Rather Be Presentable When She Gets Here. She Will Never Let Me Hear The End Of It If She Finds Out What Happened..." he explained.
You blushed at the thought and moved to get up as well. "Yeah... It was bad enough that the stuck up robot tried to pry into our private life, but I can't imagine how much worse it will be if she finds out."
You could feel Papyrus watching you carefully as you got dressed again but thought nothing of it. Once you were back in your usual attire, you turned to find that he was still watching you and that he looked slightly concerned.
"Do You Feel Alright?" he finally asked.
You snickered and waved him off dismissively. "I'll be fine, okay? A little soreness never killed anyone and it's not so bad that I can't at least fake feeling fine."
Your attempts to reassure him weren't as effective as you'd hoped but he chose not to push the issue further. "Just Tell Me If You Need Anything, Alright?"
"Of course I will."
Not long after that, Undyne showed up with Frisk riding on her shoulders. They both seemed in high spirits which you were glad to see.
As soon as they saw you, Frisk wiggled to get down and as soon as Undyne did so, they charged at you full force and nearly tackled you, although you were nimble enough to step to the side and catch them. You scooped them up and gave them a great big hug, which they returned, before turning to Undyne again.
"Thanks again for your help."
Undyne flashed you a sharp grin and nodded. "No problem, we had an absolute blast, right kid?"
Frisk nodded vigorously and pulled away from you just enough so they could sign. "She showed me how to make spaghetti!"
You chuckled and wiped a small spatter of tomato sauce off their chin. "So I can see. I'm glad you had fun, kiddo."
"Hey, if you ever need help again, just let me know," Undyne called before she took her leave.
You smiled and waved goodbye. "I'll keep you in mind then!"
As soon as the door closed, Frisk patted your shoulder to get your attention again. "It's a good thing you showed me what to do if a fire starts while cooking..."

Hi! My name is Lucas and I have Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, or ARFID. ARFID is a disorder where people greatly restrict the food they eat and avoid many others, due to sensory issues such as texture or smell or due to a fear of negative consequences such as getting sick. Mine is due to sensory issues. I wanted to make a series sharing foods I eat, tips on how to try foods, and more! Welcome to Lucas's Safe Foods!

75 Dollar Pasta Bowl
We’ve got about fifteen pasta dishes on our menu, but we can absolutely do some off-menu things. We can add things, we can switch around pasta shapes and sauce types, we can add protein; with the exception of a few large-batch sauces, most of this is up in the air. And most of our pastas run in the 18-25 dollar range; we have one that costs 35, but that’s a pasta that’s loaded to the gills with seafood, so it needs to sell for that much to make up the cost.
Well. Tonight, a table came in that set what I think is a new record for expense on their pasta. Two people, and they both wanted the same thing: Penne alfredo. It’s not on the menu, but we have penne, and we can make alfredo, so no problem, right? Well, they weren’t done. They both wanted to add spinach and mushrooms to the pasta. Okay, it’s an extra charge, but that can be done. And can we add some roasted peppers, too? Okay, that’ll be a bit more. Oh, and they want extra sauce. That’s an extra charge. Oh, and they want protein. ALL the protein. Each pasta got a chicken breast, two sausage links, and eight shrimp (”¡Hay no más camarones en todo al mar!” joked the grill guy). The ticket for these two bowls of pasta was almost a foot long.
Add all that up, and each bowl of pasta cost a whopping 75 dollars. Even our most expensive steak only runs for 55. Those bowls of pasta cost more than a good chunk of our wine list. But if you want to spend 75 dollars for a bowl of pasta that weighs about ten pounds and is going to have you on the toilet for the rest of the night, more power to you.
And after they put in the most valiant effort that they could, they wrapped up what they had left... And then ordered two more pastas just like those to go.
I don’t think I’ll ever understand certain people.

I’ve been stressing for the last couple hours so here’s my combaticon nonsense. Here’s some food I think the comabticons would be good at cooking/enjoy. Realistically no way some of them can cook, but in my mind they can cook a bit. And also…this is just me projecting because I like food.
Onslaught: Mans can cook a wicked burger. I just know his ass likes to fire up a grill. I just KNOW he can make good BBQ alright. Porkchops, chicken, anything that can be grilled, onslaught can cook it. I feel like he can cook a solid meatloaf as well. He can definitely make Fijian curry roti. Over all he’s a solid cook.
Blast off: Blast off can cook. Will he cook for everyone? Thats a maybe. He would enjoy making pastas. Like Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo or lasagna. He also likes trying new curry recipes. When ever he tries new recipes he usually makes brawl and vortex try it to see if it’s bad or good. He’s also a solid baker when he’s really in the mood. He has perfected making macarons. He learned how to make tavioka, a secret favorite dessert of onslaughts. He also refuses to ever cook lobster and crawfish after being pinched once. HE LIKES MAKING THOSE FANCY CHEESE BOARD I KNOW IT !! With wine of course , he’s sophisticated.
Brawl: He enjoys grilling and cooking meet. (Anger issues be damned, my boy can work a grill!) He’s definitely the person who eats while cooking (just like me fr) . He can make really good chili, all the combaticons are surprised when they tried it because they’ve witness brawl almost burn down the kitchen but they all agree it’s damn good. Hear me out ! He’s a EXCELLENT poi pounder. It’s messy and takes time but I feel like he’d enjoy hitting kalo with a poi pounder. (It’s good for anger/stress relief and you get poi after. Win win.) also he eats kalua and dips it in poi.
Vortex: Dosent cook often (never he’s banned from the kitchen) he’ll eat whatever everyone else cooks. He seems like someone who will eat something off others plates. He’s a big fan of onslaughts burgers, blast offs cinnamon rolls, brawls chili, and swindles ajiaco. He’s banned from the kitchen but he knows how to fry fish. He guts em, scales em, all of it. And he’s really good at it. He’s been practicing making chicken adobo. He’s also definitely made brawl try balut one time
Swindle: Surprisingly swindle knows a lot of different food recipes! Him and blast off share a small collection of cook books. He’s good as making meals for himself. He’s a fan of instant food like ramen and other soups. He Dosent make complex meals but rather follows instructions or quick meals. But he’s also likes to cook Ajiaco for the other combaticons, they all enjoy it. As a treat. But most times swindle will mostly likely order take out food from restaurants he likes. Has he ripped off door dash before? Yes. (He definitely lets brawl eat what ever he doesn’t finish or he’ll store it away for later in a container labeled “Swindles ! Don’t eat ! Specially you brawl and vortex!”)

I posted this on AO3 and thought it would possibly do well on tumblr too. Who knows. *shrug* Edited by me and unbeta’d, so. Mistakes are my own. also, this was inspired by a tiktok, if you want to see where I got the idea from.
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Female Reader
Words: 3.4k
Tags: Recreational Drug Use, just absolute fluff, no use of y/n
Summary: As newlyweds, you've just purchased a house and begun doing projects with your husband on your property/house and one night Eddie convinces you to have a bonfire so the two of you enjoy the evening with some weed and dancing.
Rating: T? I don’t think the marijuana use necessitates a mature rating, but lmk if you disagree.
“Hey, you know what we should do?” Your husband Eddie asked as he wrapped his arms around your waist from behind. You were standing at the stove, cooking dinner for the two of you and you yelped as he quietly snuck up behind you.
“Jesus, Eddie! Warn a girl, why don’t you?” You chuckle. Though you do lean back into his chest and rest your head against the crook of his neck and he presses a kiss to your temple in apology. “Tell me what we should do.”
“We should have a bonfire!” He announces as his lips move to press another kiss to your cheek. “The wind has finally died down and it’s perfect fire weather.” He claimed as he continued to pepper kisses down your cheek to your neck.
You hummed as you thought about it, stirring the pasta as it cooked. “Okay, let’s have a fire.”
“Yes!” He suddenly pulled away from your body and you turned and watched him pump his fist in the air. “I’m gonna go chop some wood before it gets too dark. Call for me when dinner’s ready?” He stepped up to press one last kiss to your cheek and you nodded affirmatively, humming as you turned back to the stove. You listened as the sliding door slid open and shut as he walked outside to the backyard.
As you continued to monitor the food on the stove, you slowly shuffled over to the sink to look out of the big window that was above it. You watched as Eddie danced around the yard, grabbing his ax from the shed before walking over to your pile of wood that you’d gathered together from trees that had fallen on your property. Watching him chop wood had to be one of your top favorite activities. If you weren’t already cooking dinner, he would have invited you out to sit nearby and watch. You were able to watch him chop a few pieces, but then you did have to turn back to the stove to make sure you didn’t overcook the noodles and so you could start making the sauce. Tonight it was chicken alfredo and you did not want to ruin dinner, you were far too hungry to make something else if you got too distracted watching.
Once everything was ready to be put together in the sauce pan, you started to slice the chicken where it was resting on the counter. Then you slowly added the noodles, a little bit of pasta water and stirred everything together, making sure to coat all of the fettuccine with sauce. After it was all incorporated and you turned off the flame, you moved the pan to another burner. Then you walked over to the sliding door, opening it to walk out on the deck, watching as he cut a couple more pieces.
“Dinner is done, my love.” You called out from where you stood leaning over the railing.
“Don’t start without me! I’m coming!” He called back, quickly carting a pile of split wood over to the fire pit before running up to the deck and taking the stairs two at a time. “Come on, baby.” He grinned, reaching out for you and steering you back inside with his hands on your shoulders.
He deposited you at the table, having you sit down and you watched as he quickly washed his hands before stepping up to the stove where you had already laid out two plates. Since you had cooked it was his job to plate so he gave you both heaping portions of pasta before gently laying the grilled chicken on top. He then sprinkled some parsley and grated fresh parmesan over the top before picking up both plates and bringing them to the table.
“Thank you for cooking dinner.” He said as he leaned down and you tilted your head to the side for him to give you a kiss on the cheek. That cheek kiss was practically part of your routine by now. You nodded your head back as your eyes followed his movements to put down your plates. “Anything to drink, wife?” He grinned as he said it. Never tiring of calling you his wife or you calling him husband.
“Water for me, please, husband.” You replied, smiling back.
“Glass of water, coming right up!” He exclaimed, reaching to grab a glass from the cupboard before walking over to the refrigerator and reaching in to pour from the pitcher of filtered water. He repeated the process and then returned to the table with two glasses and set both of them down before finally taking his seat across from you.
The two of you quietly ate dinner together, stopping after a few bites here and there to talk about your plans for the weekend. His next tour with his band didn’t start for a couple more weeks, so you were slowly but surely completing projects around the house and your property before autumn gave way to winter and brought snow with it. This weekend, though, you were hoping to take a break. You were tired of yard work, tired of climbing up ladders over and over as you made repairs to the house and you just wanted to spend some time with your husband.
“We’ll have no plans, then.” Eddie chuckled after listening to you complain about being tired. He was tired, too, admittedly. “I have no arguments about taking a break. In fact, I think I’m the one who always tells you to take breaks and you ignore me.” He pointed an accusing fork at you.
“I’m listening now?” You shrugged, a small embarrassed smile on your face. You knew he was 100% correct in that he was always telling you to take breaks or you’d hurt yourself.
“Even more perfect of a night to have a bonfire, then, hm?” He asked, as he looked back to his plate and scooped another bite before shoveling it in his mouth ungracefully.
“Yes, husband. Great idea.” You rolled your eyes at him, cocky enough to initiate praise for himself and took another bite from your plate as well. When the both of you finished, you stood, bringing your plates and glasses over to the sink for you to wash later. “Go get the fire started, I’ll meet you out there in a few minutes.”
“Aye aye,” He agreed, saluting before pulling open the door and returning to the firepit to get it going. You watched him for a few minutes from the window before crossing the kitchen to get to the fridge, pulling it open and perusing what you could bring out there. You decided to bring a couple of bottles of water and cans of soda, putting them into a small cooler with some ice packs, before closing it and the fridge. Then you grabbed a blanket and the accouterments you’d need to smoke, bringing everything out with you in one trip so you wouldn’t have to go back inside of the house.
“Is my wife under there?” Eddie chuckled, calling out to you from the yard as you walked across the deck and down the steps.
“Ha, ha!” You yelled back. The blanket was haphazardly placed on top of everything, including your head so all he could probably see of you were your legs. You managed to cross the yard without tripping over anything and set your supplies on the ground, then handed him the little pouch you’d brought out with your bowl and a lighter. “Hold please!” You quickly walked over to the garage, opening the door and turning on the light as you looked around for what you needed. “Aha!” You exclaimed as you finally laid eyes on it, walking around your car to get to the double camping chair you’d bought last year for you and Eddie to sit together.
“Ah, yes. Somewhere to sit, good thinking.” He nodded sagely as he watched you walk back over to him through the little illumination the fire provided. “Trade?” He offered, holding out for you to take the pouch back, as he took the chair from you. Then he walked around the fire to find the perfect spot before getting it unfolded. He made a full circle around the pit as he picked up the blanket and the cooler you had brought with and deposited those by the chair as well. “My wife is so smart.” He muttered as he shook his head to himself. He hadn’t even thought of anything else besides having the fire.
“My husband is also very smart.” You spoke lowly into his ear, having walked around the pit and sidled up close to him. You placed a kiss to his jaw, just below his ear and sat down on the chair, fluffing the blanket out across your lap and patted the seat beside you.
Before he joined you, Eddie walked over to his pile of firewood and grabbed a couple of pieces and placed them strategically into the pit. Or at least you assumed he was being strategic about it, you had no idea how to start a fire, that’s why it was his job. A smile started to stretch across your face as you watched him spread his legs and squat down. “Me husband, me love you. Me make fire, ooh ah ah.” He grunted in his best impression of a caveman.
“Get over here, funny man.” You huffed out a laugh, rolling your eyes. The fire illuminated his face so you could see the soft grin as he walked over and finally sat with a light ‘oof’ onto the chair next to you. After you draped the blanket over his lap as well, you reached down to get a beverage for each of you. “Something to quench your thirst, good sir?” You asked as you turned your head to the side, pushing your hair out of the way so you could see him.
“One coca-cola for me, fair maiden.” He requested. You hummed and nodded your head, turning to look down into the cooler as you grabbed both of you a coke and handed one to him. Then as you sat back, you took the pouch out from under the blanket and opened it, handing him the bowl and the herb you had pre-ground up.
“Would you do the honors, please?” You asked sweetly, batting your eyelashes at him.
“As if I could say no to you.” He scoffed, rolling his eyes good naturedly. “You got a light? The fire isn’t giving me much.”
“Oh, sure. One sec,” You muttered as you dug into the pocket of your sweatshirt. Or rather it was Eddie’s, you were just wearing it at the moment. Then you turned on the flashlight on your phone and brought it up so he could see better.
“Ah! Let there be light!” He roared out. Then he focused as he packed the bowl, handing you the jar so you put that back in the pouch and tucked it into the chair beside your thigh for now. When you turned back, he was frozen, his eyebrows furrowed as he focused on something else. What he was focused on, you had no idea.
“What?” You asked, looking around to see if there was something missing.
“Is it quiet out here or is it just me?” He asked then, finally turning to you after having figured out what was missing.
“Oh! You are correct. Lemme go turn the speakers on!” You immediately made to jump up, but Eddie pulled you back down by your hips.
“Ah ah! I will do it. Sit back down, lovely wife.” He grinned, kissing you on the cheek before handing you the glass bowl and flipping his side of the blanket over onto your lap as he stood and crossed the yard to the garage, reaching in to flip the light on before stepping  inside to turn on the stereo, letting music softly play over the speakers that were mounted outside. “Loud enough!?”
“What!” You yelled back, a big smile on your face as you pretended you couldn’t hear him.
“I said, is it loud enou-! Oh, I see what you’re doing. Very funny!” He chuckled, closing the door behind him before running back to plop back down next to you. “You haven’t even taken a hit yet?” He asked as he looked down at the bowl and lighter in your hand and then back up at you.
“I was waiting for my husband.” You replied, a cheesy grin on your face. “I will never ever tire of calling you that.” You hummed, closing the distance between you to kiss him softly.
“And I will never tire of calling you my wife.” He responded quietly after pulling away briefly, then connected your lips again.
“You want first dibs?” You asked, holding the bowl out to him. “Come on, I know you always say “ladies first”, but you packed it and you made the fire, so you go first.” You added, shoving it closer to him.
“Fine! Twist my arm why don’tcha” He breathed a laugh out through his nose and shook his head before taking it from you and bringing it to his lips. You watched as the flame from the lighter illuminated his face briefly and then he took a deep inhale, holding the bowl between his thumb and pointer finger. Then he handed it to you and you took the next hit, inhaling deeply before coughing and handing it back.
“Fuck,” You grunted out as you continued to cough. Then you cracked open your soda and brought it to your lips, hoping it would help the burn in your throat. It did, but only for a few seconds as it glided down your throat, and then the burn was back. “We need to get some edibles or something.” You groaned, clearing your throat over and over to help the burn subside.
“Sure thing, baby.” Eddie grinned before lighting the bowl again and taking another hit. “Anything for my wife.” He said as he held his breath before tilting his head back to blow it up into the air. Then he held it out to you again so you took it, taking another hit, and this time you managed to not cough. Once it was cashed, he scraped out the contents onto the ground and handed you the bowl and the lighter which you put back into your designated pouch. Then you snuggled up into his side, his arm easily coming up to wrap around your shoulders as the both of you got comfortable.
“You know what we should do?” You asked, suddenly breaking the silence that had stretched between you.
“Do tell.” He hummed as he pressed a kiss into your hair.
“We should get a dog.” You sat up slightly to watch his reaction. He didn’t seem opposed, so that was definitely a start.
“A dog, eh?” He rested his head against the back of the chair as he thought about it. “Already want to start our little family huh?” He chuckled, pressing another kiss to your hair.
“Yeah. Want a big family of dogs and cats. Ooh and chickens!” You excitedly replied, already picturing it.
“Okay, slow your roll, sweet pea. Let’s start with one dog, shall we?” He laughed at your eagerness.
“Hmph.” You pouted as you snuggled back into him. “One dog, then.” You then agreed, after realizing he was saying yes after all, just not saying it to dogs, cats, and chickens.
“Let’s go to the shelter next weekend?” He offered, leaning his cheek against your head as he started to hum to whatever song was playing over the speakers.
“Yeah…” You hummed, grinning to yourself in happiness. “I love you.”
“And I love you.” He replied, squeezing your arm with the hand that was around your shoulder.
“If we get a dog while you’re on tour though, you know it’ll love me the most.” You pointed out after thinking about it.
“Hm… Then we’ll just have to get another dog when I get back!” He suggested, as if that was the obvious solution.
“I think that’s a great idea.” You grinned as you pulled your head off of his chest and arched your neck to place a kiss underneath his jaw.
After sitting there snuggled up for a little while longer, Eddie finally moved to stand up and walked over to his pile of firewood and grabbed a few more pieces to put on. The fire had started to die out and neither of you were ready to call it quits yet. There was nowhere you needed to be, so you could spend hours out here if you wanted to. He was about to sit back down when the song on the radio changed. “Recognize this one?” He asked, grinning as held his hand out for you to take.
“Of course.” You grinned softly as you put your hand in his and allowed him to pull you up. It was the song you’d chosen for your first dance as husband and wife. The wedding was just a few months ago, after all, so how could you forget?
“Dance with me?” He requested, already pulling you into his chest and wrapping his hand around yours and placing the other one on your lower back. You nodded as your other hand went to his shoulder, sliding your fingers under the collar of his flannel and his t-shirt to press against his warm skin and you rested your head against his chest, your ear pressed right over the thump of his heart.
The two of you continued to dance like that, though it was more of a sway. Then you pulled back, sliding your hand up to cup his cheek and he leaned into the contact for a moment before turning his head to press a kiss into your palm. You pulled him down and your lips met in the middle for a kiss. You hummed into his mouth as you parted your lips, letting your tongue poke out and slide along the seam of his lips, asking for entrance. He immediately complied, his tongue coming out to caress yours as you continued to kiss and sway in the light of the fire.
When you pulled away, you laid your head back against his chest and closed your eyes. He continued to sway the two of you, until suddenly you were spinning around. “Getting cold on this side.” He explained before you even had the chance to ask. You nodded your head in agreement, your cheek brushing against the soft flannel. “Should I put more wood on?” He asked quietly.
“Yeah.” You agreed, pulling away and moving to sit back down on the chair as he walked around the pit to the pile again. You watched as he hummed in thought before picking specific pieces and bringing them back over. “Those ones special?” You joked.
“As a matter of fact, yes, they are.” He answered as he carefully reached in to arrange them around the current pieces that were mostly burnt up. “They’re the ones I think look the best.” He chuckled as he walked back over to sit down next to you, placing the blanket back over the both of you as you leaned into his space again. “Thanks for having a fire with me, baby.” He whispered. You reached out and grabbed the hand that wasn’t around your shoulders, holding it in both of yours.
“Anytime.” You said quietly as you rubbed your thumb back and forth over the back of his hand. “After these ones are done, you ready to go inside?” You asked as your jaw stretched open in a yawn.
“I suppose.” He answered, feigning exasperation. “Hey, look. It’s the little dipper. Or is that the big dipper?” He tilted his head as he let it fall back, looking up at the sky.
You turned your head to look up, squinting as you searched for what it is he was looking at. “I think that’s the big dipper. The little dipper is over there.” You added, pointing in a different direction up at the sky.
“Oh.” He nodded his head as he turned to look at what you were pointing at. “I can’t see it, but I will take your word for it.” You both continued to look up at the stars as the fire crackled in front of you. “I love seeing the stars from our backyard. Way better than living in the city.”
“Agreed, husband. I’m happy we bought this place.” You smiled, closing your eyes as you turned your head back to face the fire, letting it warm up your skin.
“Me too.” He said quietly, placing a kiss to your hair as you watched the fire continue to burn.

It’s your sims family barbecue or the family Sunday dinner. Everybody has their famous dish, dessert or designated staple to bring. Who is bringing what?
Ooooh! Hi Nonnie! Thanks for the question. Let's do two families!
Sunday Dinner w/The Piersons
Even though Noemi is getting good at cooking now, she'll attempt to show up empty-handed LOL. But of course that is not allowed so she's on drink duty. Nate has gotten really good at fish since living in Sulani and taking up fishing. He'll bring one of his famous dishes lol. Kameron is the meat man and does steaks, chops, or whatever big hunk of meat is on the brain. But he loves to cook and will probably do some veggie sides as there will be hell to pay if there are no veggies on the table. He is partial to grilled or roasted veggies. (mmmm broccoli!) Nadia, who is the coordinator of all this, often gets away with not bringing anything. But sometimes she'll buy a nice dessert from somewhere depending on her mood. Finally, for Melany it's all about the carbs sides. She loooooves mac 'n cheese. Really all pasta and cheese combos. If it's not mac 'n cheese it might be some kind of alfredo or pasta primavera.
Annual End of Summer Cookout w/The Churchills
Jorden's family is quite large, and we got to attend their last BBQ. Man...talking about drama lol. His mother (rest in peace) used to do it, but now that she's gone his older sister, Hadley, has made herself Vice President of Family Affairs. She makes her husband grill the hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken and takes the credit lol. His younger sister, Loren, isn't much of a cook and brings all the paper goods. Luckily her husband, Noah, cooks. He brings the potato salad (his mom's recipe), and no one ever believes he made it and thinks Loren did. Jorden, our resident vegetarian and lover of plants, brings salad. Every time. Never fails. Needless, most of it is left at the end of the day lol. He has never made his made from scratch tomato sauce and spaghetti for them, and they have no idea he has skills in the kitchen. Finally, his little brother, Aiden, brings the drank lol. Don't worry...there are sodas for the kids, but he makes sure the adults have a good time if they want. As for the rest of the menu, the nieces, nephews, and spouses bring enough to provide the variety.

what are ur fav foods or restaurants that are gluten free?
Aha! A tricky one! I will endeavor to provide a good answer!
So, disclaimer: I also have IBS, which complicates the tummy question, and I also have severe anxiety, so I’ve refused to go to or eat at many restaurants with my family since being diagnosed. This will be a short list, but I highly encourage you to do some research in your own areas and to either get comfortable asking people working in restaurants questions or have someone do it for you. YOU MUST LET THE RESTAURANTS KNOW YOUR CONDITION IF YOU HAVE CELIAC OR ARE GLUTEN SENSITIVE. And realize that most people still don’t understand what you mean when you say you have celiac disease or even a gluten intolerance. But they will understand wheat allergy, especially if you start listing common examples (buns, breading, gravy, etc). Don’t rely on “oh but it’s fruit, why would fruit be a problem?” Because sometimes you find yourself in a Cracker Barrel asking a waitress who has to go ask her manager and the manager will frankly tell you that there’s so much flour flying around back there that if you have any kind of gluten problem, this place is not safe for you. Incidentally, Cracker Barrel is not on my list of safe restaurants, but it is on my list of places to play a fun peg jump game.
Sit-down restaurants, I very much enjoy Cheesecake Factory’s mashed potatoes, and some of their burgers come with a gluten free bun that’s pretty good. Olive Garden has gluten free pasta and tomato sauce, but if tomatoes aren’t your thing, they will absolutely just coat them in butter (and add grilled chicken if you want, and they do scrape and clean the grills). There’s also quite a few local sit down places that I’ve had success with, so, again: research what is in your area! There’s actually a whole gluten free bakery and bistro in my area that isn’t exactly easy for everyday eating but great for a sometimes treat. And I just found a local Italian place that does a delicious chicken Alfredo that didn’t make me sick! Local restaurants can be such treasures, friends.
Quick service joints, by far my favorite is Five Guys Burgers and Fries. They already cook their burgers and buns on separate grills; all you need to do is tell them about your allergy, and they’ll flag it for their people to change gloves when handling your food. Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers has a grilling process where they flip their burgers onto a separate grill to cook the second side where the buns also go, but if you tell them, they will keep it on the meat-only grill; their fries are made in the same fryer as onion rings and therefore not safe. Chicken Salad Chick is a pretty good one so long as you pay attention to the chicken salad ingredients and ask for the Quick Chicks, which are individually packed. LawLer’s BBQ is really good; my sister in law gets the loaded baked potato without cheese, but I think I’ve gotten it before with cheese since I got sick and been fine? I don’t remember, but be safe and maybe skip the cheese, since anti-caking agents in shredded cheese is a sneaky place for gluten to hide and few restaurant workers will even know to check that.
Fast food, there are so few options for actual meals. Wendy’s Frosty is good, but not a complete dinner; I think their baked potatoes and chili might also be safe but I’m not a fan. Some salads are okay (check the dressing always), and many fries are okay (NOT MCDONALDS, THEIR FRIES ARE NOT GLUTEN FREE THANKS TO GLUTEN IN THE BEEF FLAVORING THEY ADD AND ALSO NOT DEDICATED FRYERS), but in my area, the safest place to get a fast, tasty meal is Chick-fil-A. They have dedicated fryers for their fries, and dedicated grills for their grilled nuggets, and they have managers and in some locations allergy specialists on site to make sure your food is made and handled carefully. I’ve never gotten sick from eating it. The moral implications are less than stellar, but. It is what it is. They’re the only place I can eat. And sometimes, I don’t have the time to run home and cook myself a meal before keeping other plans.
I can’t cite my sources here; I spend a lot of time googling and looking up menus and asking questions. Please do your own research and figure out for yourself what is near you that you can have and what you like. It’s a hard thing to live with. Good luck, friend!
