Genderbend Spider+Quaritch because why not. [Their names are Mila “Spider” Socorro and Colonel Miley Quaritch.]
I know this genderbend AU would imply that Quaritch gave birth to Spider at the old age of 51. It can happen but there is a lot of risks . The reason why she went ahead with the pregnancy is because she never had a kid before and she ain’t getting any younger.
This also means that fem!Jake (Jade?) and male!Neytiri (Neytir?) killed a new mom at the end of Avatar 1 so yeah… more reasons to go for revenge since she lost 16 years from being able to raise her baby. Quaritch becomes a lot more attached to Spider in this AU because it's harder to tell yourself that you're not a mom when you have vivid memories of giving birth to said child. 😵‍💫

ATLA Gender Bender: "Princess Zuka"
Zuko -> Zuka
Alternatively, it is possible that female Zuko would still be called "Zuko". The ending -ko is feminine in Japanese. But within Fire Nation royalty, there exist masculine and feminine counterparts to names: Iroh/Ilah, Azulon/Azula. The ending -a is also used for Zuko's mother's name, "Ursa". This suggests that the feminine equivalent of "Zuko" would be "Zuka".
Like her male counterpart, the banished princess would have the most extensive wardrobe. I tried to draw several, but not all of these outfits.
If Zuko had been born a girl, a large theme of her story would be the traumatic loss and restoration of her femininity. I don't think that she would be a tomboy, but would be just as driven as her male counterpart to regain her honor.
I've been picturing Cricket Leigh as the voice of "Princess Zuka". Specifically, her voice as "angry Mai" in the Beach episode.
OUTFIT DESCRIPTIONS:
1: Young Zuka, from "Zuka Alone" flashback
She is supposed to resemble a young Ursa. Rather than being dressed like Azula, her clothes are inspired by ruqun.
2: Zuka at age 13, prior to being burned
Her ponytail is supposed to show off her long, beautiful hair, which is cut off during her banishment.
3: Zuka at age 13, after being burned
"Zuka" is shown with a fully shaved head, to illustrate an alternative scenario where Ozai does not challenge her to an Agni Kai, but immediately deems her actions treasonous and orders her to shave her head. In this alternative scenario, her refusal to cut her topknot is what prompts Ozai to scar her face and banish her anyways. This is supposed to be more in line with the treatment of "dishonorable" women in real life, as there are many world cultures throughout history who punish women by shaving their heads.
Still, I am not sure whether it was appropriate to include this in her wardrobe lineup. The Fire Nation is higher in the gender equality index than the cultures it is based on, as a consequence of firebending being an "equalizer" between the sexes. It is therefore plausible that "Zuka" would have still been challenged to an Agni Kai by Ozai, and that things would have occurred in the same fashion to her male counterpart. In this scenario, she would not have cut off her topknot. I picture her wearing the same hairstyle as regular, male Zuko, where she shaves the sides of her head to symbolize her shame.
4: Book 1 Zuka
Unlike her male counterpart, I think "Zuka" would grow out her hair. Zuko's shaved ponytail is based on a real hairstyle worn by Thai boys. But in-universe, Zuko appears to have fashioned himself after the hairstyle worn by Sun Warriors. A few other men in the Fire Nation also wear this hairstyle, but women are not seen wearing this. If "Zuka" had this hairstyle, I think it would come off as rebellious, instead of loyal to the Fire Nation. It makes more for "Zuka" to fashion herself after female Sun Warriors, who wear their hair in ponytails without shaving the rest of their heads. Her asymmetrical bangs are meant to contrast with Azula's perfectly symmetrical bangs. Underneath her armor, I picture her being very athletic, with lean, defined muscles.
5: Book 1 Zuka, as the "Blue Spirit"
The comics explain the origin of Zuko's Blue Spirit mask, which is based on "The Dark Water Spirit", a male character from the play "Love Amongst the Dragons". While "Princess Zuka" could don the mask of the "Dragon Empress", I think it fits her better to wear the mask of the "Dark Water Spirit" instead. This is because Zuko and Azula would reenact the play as children, with Zuko playing the Dark Water Spirit and Azula playing the Dragon Emperor. If the Azula was a boy and Zuko was a girl, I think "Azulon" would still play the role of the Dragon Emperor, while "Zuka" would still play the role of the Dark Water Spirit. This would foreshadow their eventual rivalry and Agni Kai, and I don't like the implications that come with "Zuka" playing the Dragon Empress. For these reasons, I chose to have "Zuka" don the mask of the "Dark Water Spirit" instead of the "Dragon Empress". This also does a better job of symbolizing the "Blue Spirit"'s role as enemy of the Fire Nation.
Additionally, I think it makes sense for "Zuka" to disguise herself as a male while donning the Blue Spirit mask. Failure to do so would make her disguise a lot less effective, due to the male dominated nature of the Fire Nation army. It would make her and Admiral Zhao both look smarter, as Zhao would still figure out that she is the Blue Spirit. Due to her physical build, she would not be able to pass for a fully grown adult man, but could pass for an adolescent boy. The cross-dressing element of her disguise could also connect the Blue Spirit to her "animus", symbolizing her complicated relationship with her femininity.
6: Book 1 Zuka, after assassination attempt
She would be shown without any color on her lips, due to her beat up state.
7: Book 2 Zuka, after cutting topknot
8: Book 2 Zuka, messy hair
This hairstyle would only be seen briefly during her sick episode
9: Book 2 Zuka, post haircut
After her bout of sickness, "Aunt Ilah" buys "Princess Zuka" new clothes and gets her a hair cut.
10: Book 3 Zuka, emo hair
11: Book 3 Zuka, formal dress
12: Book 3 Zuka, after joining the "good guys"
13: Fire Lord Zuka, coronation outfit
Her hairstyle is inspired by the Kdrama "Queen Seondeok" (2009).
14: Fire Lord Zuka, comics outfit (formal)
Her costume combines elements of Queen Seondeok, Queen Panhtwar, and Empress Wu Zetian.
15: Fire Lord Zuka, comics outfit (casual)
In these drawings, "Zuka" is shown having one of two lip colors: red and pink. The red shade is supposed to be the same color as Azula's lips, while the pink shade is supposed to be the same color as Izumi's lips.
The reason I did this was originally based on a mistake. I thought that Ursa had a lighter shade on her lips than Azula, and was trying to make "Zuka" look like a younger Ursa. However, this was a mistake. Ursa and Azula actually have the same lip color. Ursa's lips only look lighter because of the lighting in the "Zuko Alone" flashbacks.
I decided to keep this decision to have "Zuka" switch between Azula's lip color and a lighter shade of pink. This is supposed to make "Zuka" look a bit like Izumi, Zuko's daughter. It is also supposed to indicate when "Zuka" is wearing makeup and when she is not. I think her lip color should change upon becoming a fugitive, as she wouldn't wear makeup while living in poverty.

While I'm still riding the Xenoblade X hyperfixation, let me just use it to talk gender identity some more.
Between deciding on my current Cross design back during last December and where I am now (i.e. feeling that I'm probably a Woman But A Bit To The Side), I initially did have the plan of just switch between the male design and the female one. But even though I kept those two looking as close to each other as possible, there was always something that I didn't quite like about the male one on a very basic level, and something that I just couldn't put my finger on, let alone fix. Somewhere down the line, I decided to also make myself smaller builds for both, as an alternative to switch to. So, "Young Boy" instead of "Boy", and "Girl" instead of "Woman". For the female Cross, that worked out well enough, and I still have the design I came up with for that saved in-game, even if I have taken no screenshots. But with the male Cross? For the life of me, I could not put together a design that I even remotely liked. Absolutely nothing felt right, even though on principle, I guess I preferred the younger looking face over my actual "main" male Cross (which even then, I almost never used). In the end, I just gave up that whole design process entirely. I guess that only really serves to show that I'm really not off in my current self-perception. . .

Lila: I am also a surviving Airbender!
Chloé *loud, frustrated groan*
Okay so /technically/
I don't think I ever decided on that AU if like. It takes place post-atla/lok or if it happens in its own separate continuity? It's funky because the way I envision it has the tech and such be a mix of the original series, but there's reference to more Canon lore bits.
But either
1.) It /does/ take place in the world, but it's post LoK so Airbenders are properly repopulated
or
2.) It takes place in a 'within the worldbuilding of atla/lok but those plots aren't heavily referenced', in which case the Air Nomad Genocide is just kinda nonexistent to them.

1x1 Atla RP partner (Fem! Zuko/ Aang or Sokka)
Tumblr media
18+ please
I will be roleplaying as female Zuko and I am looking for a roleplay partner to play preferably as Aang from Avatar the last Airbender.
I am interested in a long-term rp as I would like to explore the ATLA AU plot where Zuko is female and how it would affect the plot.
/dark themes, psychological depth and fighting scenes like the original and smut are fine but I am interested in a good story-telling. I write in lengthy and detailed responses and expect the same from you. I am capable of writing supporting characters to help narrate a vivid Avatar the last Airbender world./
I will mostly play bottom but I can dominate too
If you prefer to play Sokka, Katara, Jet or or any other character, it's fine too! Be warned of femslash.
Discord is a plus. If interested push the ♥ button and message me and I will answer you asap.

Class was kinda stressful so I did some fun sketches of Harold and also to bump all of my ideas for him out, omg he's like a contagious virus
I was giggle my ass off when I drew all possible alternate universe of Harold. This is definitely not a cry for help pls get this nerd outta my head my god!!!
Tumblr media
The girl Harold was fun to draw honestly, I love her, she's such a loser and she is now my favorite version of Harold. I was thinking of naming the girl version of Harold as Harley cause I like it when it's rhyme with "Har". Yes she is doing the "um actually" pose, I have seem to not get this little joke off my head whenever I see Harold.
This might sound not related but if it was genderswap, Harold would get along with Duncan. Probably because Duncan is giving butch lesbian vibe if he was a girl to me.
Tumblr media
Anyways the grumpy looking Harold with that liquor glass was just my personal take of Harold in his mid life crisis. I put him in a suit cause me like people in suit. He's an extra loser in this one, low pay job and no bitches. I like the idea of alcoholic Harold who struggling to get his life together. He's in college debt and his apartment rent is due but he's trying his best.
Tumblr media
I thought that Harold would love pokemon or avatar the last air bender and then it hit me if I could put the tdi cast in those 2 universes. I am very conflicted between choosing Harold to be a harmless non bender with actual mad skills he can use to defense himself or a water bender (cause of his figure skating thing). And then there I go drew him as the Amon of that universe 💀 I might go a sketch a version of him without the mask or with his water tribe clothes.
Tumblr media
Pokemon Harold, he's from Galar region because I said so. Harold with heavy Scottish accent??? 🤔 I only thought of it cause Harold was actually Scott descendant in his td bio on wiki.
Tumblr media
Harold is getting my favorite character treatment right now cause he have taken over my brain completely .
I have read chainsaw man and I am down bad for Fami. Idk but something about Fami just remind me of Harold, probably because Fami is very knowledgeable or I could have completely gone nut.
I've tried drawing him as the famine devil and he look good. I've laughed when I remove his cap cause I gave him the bowl hair cut. Maybe I should do one with Heather as the Control Devil.
I think imma name Famine Harold as Limos for now (Cause in greek Limos is the hunger god) but I might change it if I found a better name for him.
Limos is banned from getting into my fridge.
He is distinguished but he have no manners in terms of boundaries.
Tumblr media
Alright, enough brain rotting for me for today. I might do more Harold's sketches like these if I have not recover from the Harold virus.

The Wayne family cemetery was lonely.  And disturbing.  It helped give the manor the look of one of those Dracula-style Victorian mansions.
Jason was terrified of it at first.  He was convinced that there were ghosts, and once he had even told Alfred so.
The butler had reassured him that in Gotham he wasn't to fear the dead, but the living.
He was right, even the twelve-year-old Jason knew it, but the anxiety had not gone away.
His anxiety had worsened after he had woken up in his damn coffin and had to dig his way out by himself.
No, that place didn't give him fond memories.  But he had to be here.  A kind of closure, in a sense.
In another universe, he would return to Gotham and take revenge on the Joker.  He would yell at Bruce and show him that his methods were useless, that his existence hadn't changed anything.
If a hero couldn't save Gotham, then he would make him a monster.
But the Joker was dead, killed by Batman.  Bruce was dead, killed by the last joke of his enemy.
And Jason didn't know why he was the one alive.

Fandom Lexicon G
There’s juuuuust enough entries for G and H that I decided not to combine them into one post, but we’ll definitely have multi-letter updates coming soon…
Check out the full lexicon posted thus far here.
Spot a mistake? Think of a term we missed? Drop us an ask or comment!
Lexicon Terms Beginning with G: (read more)
Gary Stu: The ideal man/boy. Attractive, talented, and intelligent, with flaws that serve to highlight his perfection rather than being actual flaws. Often used as a term to refer to a male self-insert, as in, a male character who is seen as an avatar/insertion-into-the-story by a male author. See also: Mary Sue (pending).
Gaslight: A type of emotional/psychological manipulation. Read more about gaslighting.
Gatekeeping: Controlling/limiting access to [thing], where [thing] is a fandom, an individual, a definition or concept, or anything else that one party wants to prevent another party from accessing. For example, “you can’t be a fan of (thing) unless you believe (something about the fandom),” or “you’re not queer if you don’t have (x) experience.” Read more about gatekeeping.
Gaybies: Young gay people, often those who have just discovered they are gay and are exploring their new community. Not usually used self-referentially.
Gen: Short for “general” or “genuine.” 1. A fanwork that specifically does not involve shipping. 2. Any work that is rated as “general audiences,” as in suitable for any adult to read (or, sometimes, anyone of any age to read). See also: fic rating. 3. One of the most commonly used tone indicators; when used as a tone indicator, it means “genuine” and is always preceded with a slash, as in, “are you serious? /gen” would indicate that the preceding question is meant genuinely (as opposed to sarcastically, jokingly, etc.). See also: tone indicators (pending).
Genderbend: 1. When a character or individual performs gender in a way that does not align with the gender they identify with. 2. Sometimes, a synonym for cisswap or genderswap.
Genderswap: When a character’s gender is changed to something other than their canon gender in a fanwork. Synonym of cisswap, sometimes used as a synonym for genderbend. See also: Rule 63 (pending).
Geocities: A former free website host that housed many early fandom communities and websites. Read more about Geocities.
GF: Abbreviation for “girlfriend.”
GIF (file format): Abbreviation for “graphics interchange format.” A moving image file. Subject to a long-running debate on if it should be pronounced with a “g” pronunciation of the leading g or a “j” pronunciation of the leading g.
Giffer: Someone who makes gif sets.
Gif Set: A curated collection of GIFs. They might be sequential segments of a scene, match a theme of some sort, or simply be images the creator enjoys. Sometimes, they are unedited or lightly edited extracts from the source material; other times, they involve extensive graphic design and modification efforts by the giffer.
Girlboss: A term that fandom co-opted from hustle culture, meaning a young woman who leads or owns her own business venture. In fandom usage, this term is gender neutral (applied to characters regardless of their gender) and is often used ironically, and/or as part of the phrase “gaslight, girlboss, gatekeep” meaning one or more characters who lie, control, and manipulate to get their way. Read more about the term “girlboss.”
Glomp: A big, squishy, overpowering tackle-hug. Only fun when consensual! Read more about glomping.
Glup Shitto: A fake name mocking Star Wars naming conventions. In fandom, this “name” is often used alongside “blorbo” to denote different characters/character archetypes. Read more about the origins of Glup Shitto.
GM: Abbreviation for “game master” or “general manager.” See also: dungeon master.
Gong: In Chinese fandoms, the gong is the character who tops during sex.
Grapefruit: See Citrus Scale.
Griefer/Griefing: A griefer is someone who plays a multiplayer video game in bad faith, especially by behaving rudely, harassing or trolling other players, stealing, destroying things other players make, or otherwise being a nuisance. Griefing is the behavior engaged in by a griefer. Read more about griefing and griefers.
Grok: A verb that means “to understand easily,” coined by Robert A. Heinlein in his novel Stranger in a Strange Land. Read more about the term “grok.”
Grue: Grues are fictional monsters that originated in a series by Jack Vance, but they came to public awareness through inclusion in the game Zork (and again in Return to Zork), which was one of the first text-based computer games ever released. Grues live in total darkness, are terrified of light, and move too quickly to be seen. If you are in a pitch-black spot, you are likely to be eaten by a grue – unless you can produce a light source, of course.
Guro: A Japanese word modified from the English term “grotesque,” used to refer to especially gory stories and, especially, art. The term “ero guro,” short for “erotica grotesque,” is also used. Read more about the term “guro.”
