hello hello 🕊 twenty, she/her, here in search of other 18+, adv.lit–novella writers interested in creating a small, tight-knit grp of 4 — 6 people on discord. this ad is targeted towards detailed writers, with an interest in character building, found family/twisted entanglements including friendship/enmity/romance, darker themes, plot development, and arcs. this is for those who may usually write 1x1's, but want to try out grp for a change in what will hopefully be a small, cosy, relaxed group of like-minded peers <3.

ideally, there will be one main rp plot and thread for the 'main characters' overarching storyline. furthermore, side threads where the ocs are on other adventures are all encouraged, as are text threads, side ocs, alt-verses, friendship side-quests, shipping threads, and parallel 1x1 threads (set in the same world). to surmise, there will be one main plot with an adv.lit–novella literacy minimum, but you can all create various threads set in the same world/with the same ocs that may not be as lengthy and for these threads, the literacy can be lit/semi-lit or lower.

this grp is NOT a case of 'i create the plot alone and carry it on my back, and you have no input at all'. the grp will be jointly created, and the plot will be jointly developed from a range of base options that i'll offer, so it will be a shared collaboration at its heart. the base plot options utilise the genres of: dark academia (university setting, mind games) // white-collar crime (casino setting, high stakes) // horror – folie a deux edition (small town setting). other themes will include psychological horror, moral dilemmas, and philosophical explorations.

the ocs' age range will span from 19–25, no younger and no older. brainstorms, headcanons, aesthetics, memes, tiktoks, and pinboards will be welcomed and encouraged ! ghosting is discouraged with hiatuses as an exception to the rule. the gist is if you do not contribute, then you may be replaced. though, after we're settled, activity checks will be lax, and as long as you're active in at least ooc and shorter threads, then you're fine.

final note that if you like this ad, i will be asking for an rp sample of yours, info on what gender you'd like to write as in this rp, what pairings you're open to, and a triggers list. this is to ensure the 'likeminded' aspect of the grp is intact and to ensure we're all compatible in the ways that matter.

hi l'm 24 and looking for some 21+ roleplays. I have two M main characters I'd like to play, and I don't mind if your character/s are m or f.

the plot I had in mind is where all of our characters have special abilities / powers.

They make up maybe 1% of the population, and are essentially super valuable. I was hoping our characters all meet at this sort of institution place where most of them are being held unwillingly - like maybe they were forced there, or tricked there, but either way they can't leave now under the illusion it's not safe for them outside. Over time they begin to realise that something is wrong and they kind of band together to get out.

Obviously we can go into a lot more details and down to the finer details but that's the gist of what I had in mind.

I'm a sucker for the found family trope, and lots of hurt/comfort. Dark topics are welcomed but not a necessity. Please leave a like and l'll reach out - I only rp on discord. Thank you!

Okay so I've been in the mood to do an OC role play so here are some plot ideas I have:

- A dystopian story where the best of the best are selected to complete in a tournament in order to compete for the throne. They are given these crystals that give them magical weapons which match their personality. C1 is the child of the Kingdom's current ruler, and has trained their entire life for this. They are confident in her ability to win, until they meets C2, an optimistic, cheerful, charismatic middle class person who is nearly impossible to dislike. C2 was forced to join the tournament by their parents, but plans to lose on purpose. Problem is, everyone in the tournament wants C2 to win. Even C1 can't help but take a liking to the overly positive competitor.

- C1 is the familiar of a king, and is loyal to the royal family. One day the King sends C1 to join a rebellion against the King in order to act as the King's spy. As they learn more about the rebellion and it's cause, and grow closer to C2, a member of the rebellion, C1 begins to question their loyalties.

- C1, C2, C3, and C4 move into an apartment together. Little do they know that they are all secretly magical creatures.

Just binge-read the entirety of the GG rivals lore and it’s so up my alley. Medieval royalty AU with compex morality, questionable alliances, bittersweet relationships, and most importantly; women with swords? Sign me up!

Anyways, I have an actual question too lol. Aside from Etho, did any other characters activley fight in the war? From what I understand most other characters either had more guardian-like positions, jobs entirely outdide of the battle, or became knights after the war was over, etc. But was anyone other than Etho activley and regularly in the battlefield?

I'm glad you are liking it so far!

As for your question, there were actually two major conflicts between Wintertide and Coral Crest.

Out of the main cast the only ones who were actively on the battlefield during the first war were Etho and Skizz; and Skizz was a combat medic, which meant that he did very little fighting, if any at all. He would either treat people at the base camp, or he would do first aid directly on the field if the person could not be moved safely. It was actually during his time on the battlefield that he lost his ability to fly after being caught in an explosion while trying to treat someone and losing part of one of his wings.

After 7 years, a truce was made, and the fighting was put on pause. During this time Etho left the army.

8 years later the truce was broken, and war broke out again. By this point Gem had joined the army and was already a knight, and a skilled one at that, so she actually did fight in this one. Scott did as well, and to a lesser extent so did Impulse. Impulse was still mostly stationed within the capital or the castle itself, though. This conflict lasted a much short amount of time than the other had, only 2-3 years compared to the previous 8, so their active combat experience is definitely not as extensive as Etho's, but it is there.

Fighting in the war and showing unmatched leadership/strategic skills, as well as being the one to make the peace negotiations that would eventually create the next truce, was actually what got Gem her royal commander position.

None of the Coral Crest characters we know were ever actively on the battlefield other than Lizzie herself, and she did no fighting. She went onto the battlefield to do peace negotiations towards the ennd and that was it. It was the same for Joel. He is Lizzie's guard, so where she goes, he goes, and he only fights if her life is in danger.
