"The Birds and The Feathers"(+Art)

Just a pretty swan in its nest by the lake living its best life....until these avians decided you are their target of affection.

Broken grammar, Swan!Reader x Avian Constellation characters {Kaeya, Diluc, Xiao, Ayaka, Layla, Al Haitham, Kaveh, Fischl}, GN!Reader, Modern AU(?), the reader is oblivious(?), non-establish relationship, you are "that one neighbour" type of thing feral-like behaviour, everyone acting similar to their representation bird, hints of yandere, possessive and obsessive behaviour, a bit of suggestive if you squint.

Note : Human with bird wings! Nest refers to everyone's own house, You are a swimming trainer at your local pool.

Note (13 May) : this was drafted before Mika appearance and during Kaveh first appearance (so no Mehrak)! So thats why he isnt here,and im already drained to add him

Kaeya {Pavo Ocellus//Peacock}

My my, a pretty bird isn't he? Your charismatic neighbour who would greet you with that bright smile of his.

He is that one neighbour who is always curious about your activity but won't pester you much if you refuse to answer, respecting your boundaries.

Checking up on you seems to be his favourite thing, he will briefly visit your humble hut near the lake and offers you some fruits or veggies he brought on his way home. Whenever you decline he somehow always gets an urgent call and can't bring all the groceries he had bought. Well, since he is already at your house, why don't you just accept these fresh fruits he so dearly brought to you?

If he is stopping by your nest, he often lazes around your house whilst chatting about his daily life and you just listened to him while munching on snacks he brought to you. If you are swimming, he will sit by the dock under a shade, leaving you to enjoy what you like the most. Beside, he is also enjoying seeing what he likes the most

One of the things he often gives you is little trinkets...well...the only kind of trinket he gave you is a peacock feather in a resin. It could be a bookmark, a keychain, or a small wall decoration. Since the rarely have time to hang out with you, he needs to make sure part of him will always be with you.

Peacock does value their beauty to attract their female counterpart, but for you? He would gladly be featherless with no second thoughts.

Diluc {Noctua/Great Horned Owl}

A magnificent fancy owl, isn't he? An admirable owl in its prime age running such a huge wine tycoon. Compared to the other houses in the neighbourhood, his is the biggest.

You often see him around but never interact until you bring your swimming class to collaborate with Dawn Winery. There, you saw him personally bring the crates of grape juices for your students. You both start a small conversation, and after that day you often see him on your way to work. He will pull over by your side and insist on driving you there.

His wings span is HUGE. When the sun's heat stings your skin, he will use his wings as your umbrella. What a gentleman indeed.

For some odd reason, he is active during the day and awake at night. How did he get enough proper sleep? You are not sure yourself. Another owl trait of his is his quiet steps or walk, you are always startled whenever he greets you at the swimming centre to bring grape juices for your students, and your wings spread to smack him in the face. After that incident, he always makes sure to approach you from the front.

Other than acts of service, his language is also gift-giving. At first, it was some raw meat to cook or a perfectly cooked steak you can eat, but after learning about the swan's diet, Diluc changed it into grapes and grape juices from his winery. Let's just say sometimes your nest smells like his wine.....like part of him.

Somehow this owl makes sour expressions whenever he sees peacock trinkets around your house after you confirmed Diluc where are those gifts from, he started giving you a quill pen with a feather interestingly similar to his.

Xiao {Alatus Nemeseos/Black-Tail Jade Finch}

Hm? Are you worried about your nest's safety at night? Afraid to go home by yourself when it is late? Suddenly crave eating in the middle of the night? No need to be worried about that anymore! This finch right here, Xiao, is ready to be your bodyguard.

You rarely chat with him, considering he is an introverted bird and prefers to stay in his nest. Other than seeing him dropping off and picking up his little sister, Qiqi at the swimming centre, you guys only meet in public places like parks or convenience stores, where it always started with a curt nod from him and an acknowledgement smile from you. Other than that, you guys don't talk much. However, if you guys do meet in public coincidentally at night, he often 'offers' you to walk back to your nest.

If you count 'waiting for you in front of the convenience store and walking side-by-side with you with no talking' as an offer.

Although his wings and bird's form looks small and cute, he is the most resilient and intimidating among your avian neighbour. Once you saw him decked a man thrice his size because -according to Xiao- 'He looked at you funny'.

He will not hesitate to guard you to your nest, no matter how often you tell him you don't want to bother him, he will just quip back "-and you prefer to get hunted by those bad birds?". As much as your interaction with him is awkward, you always offer tea whenever both of you arrive at the door. But he just refuses politely and 'scurry away'.

Although, he doesn't underestimate you. Once he saw you, the delicate swan became a vicious eagle to protect your swimming students.

Well, now he ought to see you protecting their child together- huh? No that's too far, he is thinking too far. He can just settle with protecting your nest and accompanying you on walks.

Ayaka {Grus Nivis/Snow Crane}

(Note : Ayaka's ability to walk on water refers to her Alt Sprint and how cranes mostly spend their time in shallow water)

Oh my! Look at her beautiful snow-like wings. Such a delicate bird and a classy one too. As a Kamisato, her giant nest (estate) where she lives with her brother is standing proudly on top of a man-made island above the lake with lilypads and lotus blooming here and there. The estate is so beautiful, you are drawn to the magnificent estate to take photos, especially the lotus lake, your swan instinct just brought your feet there.

You purposely approach the lake behind the estate. Avoided the guards so you can have a peaceful time. There, you saw her. The famous snow crane lady Kamisato Ayaka..she seems like dancing? You were mesmerized for a bit by her delicate moves, her flowy hair spinning around her like snow ribbon, and her blue ey- wait what?! She saw you, her wide blue eyes can tell she didn't expect an audience. You awkwardly make a thumbs-up and clap a little. Your wings cover your body whilst you run away from the spot.

You were just swimming around the lake near your nest, the swan blood in you just loves water so much. When you raise up above the water, you find yourself surrounded by beautiful lotus and lilypads floating around your lake, you turned around to see the snow crane above the water, smiling softly at you.

After that lilypad meeting, you both often meet behind your house -something about her feeling more comfortable to become a regular snow crane. She never hated the life of royal birds but living freely without rules to follow seems fascinating to her. So, you showed her your humble nest and how you teach little birds to swim. In return, she integrated you into her life; introducing you to her charming brother -Ayato- and the nice housekeeper Thoma, serving dishes that fit to swan's diet whenever you visit, and often a bundle of Otogi sticks or some fragrant oil from Otogi given to you before you leave-as decoration for your house she suggests and to make your nest smells more like hers.

Layla {Luscinia/Nightingale}

Poor little one, this small bird often crashes by your nest to nap or rest. Her eye bags get darker every time you see her. The least you can do is offer her warm milk to drink before she naps.

Well, you two have been close since you both were still little chicks. At this point, your nest is hers and hers is yours. Her wings feather is everywhere at your nest, from how often she is having a 'sleepover'-which is mostly you pushing her to get enough rest. She even has her own little corner in your nest, where her work drafts and papers are scattered around.

Speaking of sleeping, Layla, you know has an alternate personality that manifests from her when she is in deep sleep. This persona is energetic and determined, if Layla forgot to drink the milk you gave her before sleeping the nighttime Layla will drink it before she does her work. This Layla is very bold and affectionate to you, talkative too! Often she asks your opinion about her paper, and although you don't much about her study, you gave her the encouragement she needed.

Nightime Layla often asks for your blessing every time she is about to sleepwalk go outside. You often give her hugs and cheek kisses as a blessing. Once you gave her a mini dreamcatcher keychain with your feather on it, saying she could always ask for a new feather if the old one snapped, was dirty, or was missing...and she does. She keeps asking for another of your feather because somehow she lost it.

However, what you don't know is, she always keeps the keychain in pristine condition, she just likes to collect parts of you as a good luck charm!

Well....this often leads to Daytime Layla waking up to swan feathers in her closet and her desk drawer. She was confused but not thinking much of it. Instead, she uses the feathers to fill up her pillow fillings or quill.

Ah, somehow she always dreamt of you with this special pillow of hers. Hmm..can't have that..she misses you, welp! Time for another sleepover at your nest!

Al Haitham {Vulture Volans/White Backed Vulture}

So apparently, vultures often spread their wings wide to dry up their wings..and you learnt how wide vultures' wings are. How do you know? Well, this neighbour of yours, whose backyard is coincidentally facing the lake of your nest, often sunbathes his wings there near the lake whilst reading a book.

So, imagine your fear when a buff tall man of a carnivore bird with a stoic face just spreads his wings for an hour, sitting by the lake. You both just nod to each other in acknowledgement while you shake in fear, deciding not to swim that day.

You can tell he has a roommate, judging by the bickering noises and how there are extra shed feathers that aren't his. It is too soft and delicate to be Vultures. You wanted to bring it up to him as a worried neighbour, but you decided it will only make you a nosy one so you keep quiet, and keep greeting with nodding when you both meet by the lake.

Well, either he has sharp eyes or you are too obvious. One day he gave you some fruits and veggies along with small fish. You could tell he searched swan's diet, considering vulture's diet are all meat. "I apologize for any disturbance we may cause, my roommate and I are not on good terms as you can hear." his eyes glanced towards his nest. You waved your hand dismissively clearly not wanting to make things awkward, so you offered him to eat the stuff he gave to you together on your dock.

Well, his logical and rationality views on everything aside, his company is enjoyable. He is open to any perspective, even yours who isn't a scholar. He never belittles you if you awkwardly ask about some terms he had mentioned, you can see his eyes light up a bit as he enlightens you in detail to you, yet he also makes sure it isn't overwhelming.

Apparently, he prefers a quiet environment and so do you as a mute swan. You both often spend quality time together as neighbours with him reading books and sunbathing at your dock whilst you swim or float around on the lake.

Well, isn't this the domestic life he dreamt of?

Kaveh {Paradisaea/Paradise Bird}

Well, this is the bird that the vulture keeps talking about, though you didn't expect it is a bird known for its artistic side.

Paradise birds are known to be delicate and magnificent birds, the male all dance and sing and are pretty. Well, this one...surely a unique one. You first saw him when he stumped out Al-Haitham's nest all pent-up and angry, even his wings are all puffed out. You both had eye contact, his red orbs widen to see you so as to not make anything worse you swam away.

The next day, while you relax by the dock eating some fruits, you saw him carrying some wood and building materials into the nest. Whilst he is putting down the materials his eyes caught on your form, sitting by your dock with your cheeks puffed full of food. He smiled and waved then make a small jog towards you.

He introduced himself and apologize in advance if any of his model-building activity bothered you. You waved him off saying you spend your time teaching swimming to kids anyway. After giving him some of the fruits you eat, he excused himself and walks back towards Al Haitham's house //creak// well..until he stepped on a board on your dock that is loose. His architect side just crouches down and examines your dock, then offers you a free repair of your dock, oh he doesn't take no for his service alright.

Well, now there he is, on your dock doing a repairman job. Every time you want to help, he just told you to sit down all pretty. Just a feast for his eyes.

It is not just the dock he fixed. Even the decoration of your nest-exterior or interior- he gives suggestions and recommendations. Hell, he goes as far as making some bookshelves for you. In return, you listened to his rants about his roommate and offered him food since both of you has similar diet. Sometimes Al Haitham or Layla join in with the two of you.

Isn't he a creative man? he is able to turn the shed feathers into a dreamcatcher, keychain, and even earrings. Your white feathers and his brown-to-goldish one really give an elegant aesthetic. The thing you didn't know is that he has another pair of earrings from your feathers. He doesn't want to wear it since he will not hear the end of it from Al Haitham, plus it may make you uncomfortable although you have shown appreciation to all his crafts, even the small little things he made to your nests.

Well, for now, Kaveh can only help you with decorating your nest, next time, he will make sure to build a nest fit for you both together.

Fischl {Corvus/Raven}

(Note: I wrote this with platonic implications in my head, I am 22 and writing romantic stuff for her feels illegal to me// Oz and Fischl is like apes to human (totally different but has similarity))

Quite the eccentric one, isn't she? Mysterious, all-dark, and how she talks are all out of your dictionary, no worries, her loyal friend, Oz, is your saviour in communicating with her.

You knew her from your fellow swimming teacher, Mona, which Fischl often picks up after work. Whilst waiting for Mona packing up, you hit a conversation with her..which was...unique you can say. She spoke so politely and formally that you didn't know how to respond. Oz was there to translate her words (or simplify) and even then with him, you can //barely// hold onto a conversation with her.

Although she likes speaking in another' language' when you talk to her, her quirky personality and roleplaying with Oz always brighten up your day. Even if Mona can't clock in for the day, Fischl still go there to visit you. You often stay behind to make sure all kids got picked up by their parents and then enjoy the pool all by yourself, usually Fischl would take off her shoes and dangles her feet in the water whilst chatting with Oz and you.

Do you know how ravens remember the faces of people who feed them? Yeah, Fischl often payback your good deed 10 times bigger than what you have done. Like how you offered her some of your fist-sized bread whilst waiting for Mona and the next time you guys meet she gave you a whole-ass pie in return.

Her raven traits also showed up in her collecting shiny trinkets. The urge to hoard shiny things seems to override everything in her brain. She would stop and impulsively walk towards any shiny stuff she see and buy it, sometimes she and Oz would chatter about the trinkets collection with you-from delighted caw to sad croak from not being able to own any valuable stuff she saw.

You once asked her 'what's the best thing you have ever lied your eyes on?". Her light green eyes widened at your question, her hand went up to her chin and she thinks-even Oz made the same gesture, eye closed and humming. Fischl then answered, "Too precious that if I tell you, I'm afraid I will lose them." You giggled, amazed at her mystic answer. You express your curiosity to one day be able to see the thing she is talking about.

Must be so valuable and precious that she won't show it to you, huh? Well, it's not like she won't...But how does she show you to yourself?

I wanted to ask, what would it be like if Fischl had an S/O who not only plays along with her, but is just as much as a Chuunibyou as her? I'd kinda like to see her reaction to that. Maybe see what the other Mondstadt folks think as well? Oh, and bonus points if the S/O does the whole Shining Finger thing. from Gundam. That "this hand of mine glows with an awesome powerrr!" thing.

Fischl, Ayaka, Rosaria, Eula, Furina, Shinobu, Bronya, and Seele with a very dramatic S/O

YOU ACTIVATED MY SLEEPER AGENT KEYWORDS, YOU MENTIONED GUNDAM, AND SPECIFICALLY G GUNDAM

Fischl's eyes seemed to gleam when she first realized that her S/O not only indulged her antics, but even joined her!

Their title was almost as impressive as her own, 'The King/Queen of Hearts'!

(Fischl) "Tell me dear, S/O, how can the fabled 'King/Queen of Hearts' measure up to the Prinzessin der Verurteilung?"

S/O clenched their fist and raised it in front of their chest triumphantly.

(S/O) "You may have your electric arrows, but I have these GOLDEN FINGERS!"

Oz on the other hand was completely suffering.

Well, at least he didn't have to translate for S/O, they were completely blunt and to the point, unlike his master.

Fischl did adore S/O for how brave and caring they were, but it was during a battle that made her heart first skip a beat.

(S/O) "HERE I GO!-"

S/O's pyro vision flared up as their fists began glowing a flaming gold, catching both Oz and Fischl by surprise.

(Fischl) "W-What?! S/O was serious with knowing an ultimate technique?!"

(Oz) "I thought they were in a similar boat to you, mein Fräulein-"

(S/O) "THIS HAND OF MINE IS BURNING RED! IT'S LOUD ROAR TELLS ME TO GRASP VICTORY!"

They rushed past Fischl and Oz, who could only watch in awe.

(S/O) "ERUPTING, BURNING...FIIINGEEEEERRRR!"

Their fist immediately crashed through a Ruin Guard (somehow), and lifted them off the ground with one arm.

(S/O) "AND NOW, HEAT END!"

The Ruin Guard exploded violently afterwards, with S/O's fist going back to normal.

(Oz) "Wow, really?"

(Fischl) THAT IS SO COOL! "...Ahem, a fine display, dear S/O."

Everyone in Mondstadt thought that Fischl had just found another roleplayer that took things way too seriously and were somewhat dreading talking to them.

Only to realize S/O wasn't doing a bit, despite the fact they were just as dramatic as her.

They were just insane.

Ayaka knew her S/O was a bit on the...flashy side, to put it gently.

They screamed all their attack names at the top of their lungs, yet she knew no one was better and hand to hand combat than they were. Especially when they began actually glowing red or ignited into flames.

All that did not matter terribly much to Ayaka. S/O was someone she loved, for their caring and valiant nature.

But, someone like S/O was something she had never expected to face, and they both drove her insane, and yet brought contrasting calmness to her life.

Nothing however would ever compare to meeting S/O's master for the first time.

Ayaka and S/O were travelling down the streets of Inazuma, until everyone, including the guards were watching someone coming down the street.

(Ayaka) "...Is...that person standing on their horse?"

Suddenly, S/O's eyes widened, and rushed through the crowd, unintentionally leaving Ayaka behind. She quickly followed behind and saw a man standing perfectly on the horse as it trotted along the streets of Inazuma, arms crossed and an expression that was razor focused.

(S/O) "MASTER!"

The man's head turned to S/O, and both of them exchanged a glance before Ayaka saw their master leap off the horse, extending a fist as they landed perfectly in front of them.

(Strange Man) "Answer me, S/O! THE SCHOOL OF THE UNDEFEATED OF THE EAST!"

S/O knelt down as they struck a dramatic pose, answering their master.

(S/O) "THE WINDS OF THE KING!"

In the middle of the city, they began exchanging rapid punches that traded perfectly blow for blow, so fast that even Ayaka struggled to keep track of.

(Strange Man) "ZENSHIN!"

(S/O) "KEIRETSU!"

(Both) "TEMPA KYOURAN!"

Both their fists collided before their other arms extended outwards in sync, screaming once again.

(Both) "LOOK! THE EAST, IS BUUUURRNING REEEED!"

Ayaka watched with a strange mixture of horror, second-hand embarrassment, admiration, and jealousy.

(Ayaka) ...I-Is it possible for S/O to teach me how to do that too...?

When Rosaria first met S/O, she thought they were going to be a troublemaker.

She was correct, but they fought to keep Mondstadt safe as much as she did.

But while she did it with subtlety, S/O grabbed subtlety with their literal shining golden fingers, and made it violently explode, all while screaming their attack.

The first time she had watched S/O perform their "Shining Finger" attack on a treasure hoarder, she stood there completely slackjawed.

(Rosaria) "...Oh my Bratabos, you're completely serious."

Rosaria thought S/O was doing some kind of bit like this 'Fischl' character she had heard about.

No, they were just that dramatic for no real apparent reason, and they had the strength to back their nonsense up.

She even doubted that herself could take S/O in a straight fight.

In a strange way, it attracted her to them. They were clearly not afraid of what anyone thought of them, only caring if the people they loved were safe. She had respect for that.

But...why were they like this?

They couldn't just defeat their enemies normally, no, they HAD to explode. Every single one of them.

Sometimes S/O's Vision wasn't even active, she would just see them explode after they had shouted "HEAT END!".

(Rosaria) "You are both the best and the worst person I know of to clean up a mess of bandits discreetly."

(S/O) "Hah! The King/Queen of Hearts doesn't need to fight discreetly! I only fight with my fists!"

Honestly, as strange as this was, she also found it to be the funniest thing in the world. Maybe there SHOULD be more people like S/O and Fischl after all.

Eula couldn't exactly call anyone out for being "flashy".

But her S/O took that word to a whole new level. Especially with their manner of speech.

It made Eula look polite in comparison. S/O appeared to be playing the bit of a mysterious, strong, and rude warrior who only thought with their fists.

She had seen them become soft and loving, hell they were a couple, she knows they can become serious.

But after watching them fight a few times, she's starting to believe that S/O wasn't doing a bit like herself, and she did not know how to feel about that.

Eula watched S/O pull out a sword made of pure flames from their hands, wielding it in both their palms.

(S/O) "THIS HAND OF MINE GLOWS WITH AN AWESOME POWER! IT'S BURNING GRIP TELLS ME TO DEFEAT YOU!"

S/O slashed apart the Ruin Hunter with every swing, scorching the grass ablaze with their passion.

(S/O) "TAKE THIS! MY LOVE, MY ANGER, AND ALL OF MY SORROW! SHINING FINGER SWOOOOOOORD!"

With one final slash, the Ruin Hunter was split in half, with S/O leaping back as their pyro vision died down slowly.

Honestly, Eula didn't know if she should be impressed, cringing, or not be thinking that was one of the coolest things she had ever seen.

Probably a mixture of all three.

Honestly? Furina kind of gets it.

You spend so long doing a bit, it kind of becomes a part of you.

That being said, Furina isn't entirely sure if S/O's behavior was entirely theatrics.

But that's fine! It's a part of them after all, not like she had any room to criticize.

Whenever S/O wasn't in the room, she would be clenching her fists and throwing punches in the air, mimicking their tone.

(Furina) "How did they say it...? Ah, right! This hand of mine glows with an awesome power!"

Furina giggled as she said it out loud before putting on a 'serious expression' frowning as she concentrated.

(Furina) "It's loud roar tells me to grasp victory! SHINING, FIINGEEER!" giggle

As she turned to face the door, she nearly leapt out of her skin to see S/O watching her with a highly unamused face.

(Furina) "GAH! S-S/O! How long were you-"

(S/O) "The School of Master Asia cannot be replicated by simply mimicking my actions, Furina. It comes from within!"

Furina pouted a little.

(Furina) "It doesn't look that different from theatre, S/O! You're as dramatic as I am!"

(S/O) "Dramatic? Don't be absurd, I'm completely-"

(Furina) "You are not telling me you can say all that with a straight face every single time!"

(S/O) "...Can you not?"

...Either S/O was the best actor, or they lacked the self awareness that she (kinda) had.

Oh good Archons, please no.

Shinobu already had to reign in Itto and the others, now her lover was adding fuel to the fire.

Or more like an explosion to it.

S/O had taught Itto and the other members of the Arataki gang their strange dances.

Now instead of dealing with one, she had to deal with seven other idiots shouting about Erupting Burning Fingers.

(Shinobu) "S/O, you're a terrible influence."

(S/O) "Huh? What are you-"

(Shinobu) "Sara had just told me that Itto and the others were making a ruckus in the public square."

(S/O) "What ruckus can the dances my master and I-"

(Shinobu) "They're trying to match the speed of you and Master Asia, but end up only punching themselves in the face."

(S/O) "Hah! Looks like I need to train them harder-"

(Shinobu) "S/O."

S/O sighed loudly, adjusting their red headband.

(S/O) "Fine. I'll reign them in myself."

Personally, she thinks their nature is...strange, to put it mildly.

She has no idea how S/O and their master became so eccentric, but they meant as well as she and the others did so...Not too much harm could be done?

And admittedly, she did find it really cool that S/O's vision could make things explode in such a spectacular fashion.

But why did so many people in her life have to have some kind of screw loose with them?

There was only one word that could come to Bronya's mind watching S/O in action.

(Bronya) "What?"

She had been trained all her life to be noble, courteous, and elegant.

And here came S/O with all the elegance of a cannon.

S/O fought inside a machine that mimicked their actions 1 to 1. While the suit itself was strong, it was S/O who made it surpass the limits.

Their knowledge on martial arts was unsurpassed by anyone she had ever known.

But in a strange way, it made Bronya admire them. They wore their heart on their sleeve, with no one telling them how to live. That was really admirable.

And secretly, she found herself quoting S/O many times as she was training with her weapons. Much to her amusement and horror.

But the first time she watched them in action could not compare to anything.

The machine's wings flared out and formed an energy halo, with S/O's hand becoming a blinding fiery light.

Their chest opened up and revealed a large glowing orb, with the symbol of the King/Queen of hearts flashing in front of it.

Before Bronya could even question what S/O was doing, she watched them fly past all the Silvermane guards and save them by driving their robotic fist into the enemy.

(S/O) "BURNING, FIIIIINGEEEER!"

On command, the creature exploded into a brilliant light, making everyone recoil as their enemies fled in terror.

S/O turned around, their machine crossing its arms and standing dramatically on top of a hill, staring down at everyone.

(S/O) "Behold, THE SCHOOL OF MASTER ASIA! THE UNDEFEATED SCHOOL OF THE EAST!"

(Silvermane Guard) "...O-Okay...?"

Bronya had much of the same reaction, but a slight blush overtook her cheeks.

It was completely stupid how S/O shouted their moves but...damn, if it wasn't effective.

Seele sighs whenever she watches S/O in action.

Their moves were completely unnecessary, way too flashy, and the thing that annoyed her the most?

They worked. Like, there was nothing to counter S/O's idiotic moves, nor anything that could actually survive them.

It worked, and she hated that it did.

Seele simply steps out the way of an incoming monster part that had exploded spectacularly.

(Seele) "I will never understand how that machine of yours makes everything it touches detonate. It's like everything's made out of Natasha's grenades to you."

(S/O) "HAH! You are just watching the King/Queen of Hearts in action, Seele! Try to keep up!"

Her eye twitched. Oh now it was ON!

She had a great deal of respect for her S/O, truthfully. But it was dwarfed by her annoyance of them as well.

They would go on about complete nonsense, and yet when they were together, S/O could be a surprisingly normal and honest person.

Then she would watch them in the fight club and watch S/O in their machine grab someone's head, ready to make it explode.

(S/O) "Article 1: A Unit whose head section has been destroyed is disqualified!"

(Man) "H-HEY! THAT'S MY ACTUAL HEAD!"

(S/O) "Then I have won this fight."

Seele had never heard about these articles, or schools on this planet. Maybe it was an offworld thing.

...God, she hoped that whoever trained S/O wouldn't meet Natasha or the kids.

She's happy! She loves the flowers you picked out and will cherish them for as long as she can. She takes extremely well care of them and is disappointed when she has to get rid of them because they've hit the end of their life span. she tastes like she just ate fire, its burning you but you cant pull away, maybe its her passion for her music, or maybe she ate something spicy. she is a perfect idol in your eyes, and her confident mind doesn´t help that fact.

𖠵𝟎𝟑: Upon returning to Monstandt City, the girl almost immediately ran to Mona to boast about how amazing you were and how she hoped to see you again. The astrologist immediately picked up what was happening and just stared at her friend deadpanned.

she tried to deny her feelings at first, but when Oz agreed with her, she finally came to terms with it.

𖠵𝟎𝟒: She initially started to panic, not knowing exactly what to do with the information given to her.

Mona calmed her down before giving a few pointers and advice to help her out.

𖠵𝟎𝟓: She started by asking Katheryn to see if you mentioned any of your interests so that she could get you the appropriate gifts.

𖠵𝟎𝟔: After you cleared your last hilichurl camp for the day, she sprinted up to you, a bouquet of cecilias in her hands and a confession bursting from her lips.

keeping an eye on her, Mona waited in a nearby bush to ensure everything went smoothly.

you felt unbelievably flattered that she thought of you in such a way because you had started looking up to her after hearing stories told by Katheyrn about her. you happily accepted her confession before asking if she'd like to have a lunch date sometime. she nearly passed out from how quickly the blood rushed to her face.

sometimes she just doesn't have the energy to keep up the act, so when she's super tired, she'll collapse in your arms or lap, needing to bask in your warmth and comfort after a long day.

𖠵𝟏𝟏: Daydreams about the day she'll marry you, making you her prince/princess.

𖠵𝟏𝟐: Always tries to pick out the finest quality of gifts for you, claiming, “the most bewitching jewel in the universe only deserves the most unrivaled gratuity.”

she keeps it neatly tied around her wrist every day and protects it with her life, making sure nothing bad happens to it (getting dirty, stolen, etc.)

she thought you were supposed to feel that way with your close ones, but then Lisa informed her otherwise and put the pieces together for her.

𖠵𝟎𝟐: Despite Lisa’s insistent that she tell you, she explained that the knights kept her so busy that she had no time for romance.

after that, Lisa allegedly threatened that if she didn’t tell you, she would take matters into her own hands. that, of course, drew Jean’s attention, and she caved in, saying she’d figure out a way to tell you.

𖠵𝟎𝟑: Jean also decided to pick up a few books on romance and read about relationships because even though she wasn’t doing this really out of her own free will, you meant the world to her, and if she did have a chance with you, she wanted to make sure she did everything right.

𖠵𝟎𝟒: When she had gone over her plans in her head a few times, she gathered a bunch of flowers and asked you if you wanted to go on a picnic out at Windrise.

𖠵𝟎𝟓: In discussing your adventures with her, she almost forgot to confess to you, distracted by how serene you looked.

but, alas, she cleared her throat and presented you the flowers she managed to conceal, anxiously expressing how she felt about you for the past few weeks.

(Video Source: Pongsifu on YT) Luckily for you, I have been binging Armored Core 6 for the past month, and will hop on ANY request to talk/write about anything Mecha related.

12 stared at the giant 10 meter mechanical behemoth that had suddenly made its home inside Griffin's Hangar.

(AK-12) "...We didn't always have that, right?"

The machine's chest slowly opened and revealed a cockpit containing S/O, waving hello from the seat.

Apparently, they had constructed the mech out of spare parts lying around.

(AK-12) "Impressive...But, why exactly did Griffin have that many parts lying around? And how did you find guns that big?"

On the battlefield, she watches the mech fly around at almost breakneck speed, watching them zip around and eradicate one base after the other.

Kicking tanks and shooting helicopters out of the sky, it was far more effective to watch them fight instead of having to do anything.

(AK-12) "Hm. We'll be out of a job at this rate."

94 knew this was going to happen.

T-Dolls would only last so long on the battlefield before they were replaced by the next best thing.

However, she sure as hell wasn't expecting S/O of all people to surpass her, with a mech constructed out of junk parts no less.

It was honestly awe-inspiring what humans could engineer for the sole purpose of destruction.

And it was also physically impossible. Something that size should not be quad-wielding miniguns and moving that fast.

(AN-94) "...How has your machine not collapsed from the Earth's gravity?"

94 is more confused than anything.

15 was impressed more than anything.

She knew S/O was an engineer, but to construct a mech out of the parts they had was nothing short of a miracle and logic-defying technical prowess.

(AK-15) "How does your machine constantly reload the missiles while on the field? It is the only weapon you seem to have, and no one constructed missiles that large, even during World War 3."

She can't help but wonder why DEFY was even needed if Griffin had engineers like S/O around.

Well, at least S/O was on their side.

(RPK-16) "I wonder if humanity will wipe itself out faster with these new machines."

16 is fascinated by the human desire to make machines to wipe out life faster.

Granted, Griffin usually just fought Sangvis which consisted nothing of machines, but it would only be a matter of time until everyone else had their own version of S/O's mech.

And probably not one constructed out of junk either.

(RPK-16) "I must ask, S/O. How can you be in the cockpit of that thing and not reduce yourself to jelly? Surely the G-Force alone would kill you?"

Well, it's not the first thing that humans have done that confused her.

(Angelia) "Hmph. Why did they even bother calling us if they had you here? And could you have done that this entire time?"

Angelia is impressed and annoyed.

If S/O could create a hulking machine of death before, why did they only decide to do it now?

She both dreads and admired S/O's tenacity. To make such an effective machine out of junk took a hell of a lot of elbow grease.

Angelia doesn't question it, seeing that it's working alright so far, but she definitely wants to look into upgrading it.

(Angelia) "S/O, with me. We're painting DEFY's logo on it."

(Amber) "THAT IS SO COOL!"

Amber could create Baron Bunnies with a lot of yarn, but S/O could make a machine that dwarfed Ruin Guards with some random pieces of metal!

(Amber) "You have got to teach me how to do that! And lemme ride it too!"

Amber demands to fly with S/O, even though she can't go nearly as fast as they can.

She watches as S/O wipes out entire nests of monsters before leaping away with its mantis-like legs to the next location.

Honestly, it made her feel jealous.

(Amber) "Heeey, can I ask one of those for my birthday! I bet it'll make flying around Mondstadt a breeze!"

Though as the outrider, she kindly asks S/O not to park the giant machine weighing presumably hundreds of tons in the city.

For obvious reasons.

The color on Jean's skin fades when she heard Klee helped S/O build a brand new toy.

One that put her bombs to shame.

And seeing it park itself next to the cathedral, waving hello to her as she was standing at the entrance-

She was about ready to faint.

(Jean) "S/O! Get down from there right this instant!"

Jean gives S/O and Klee an earful for making such an absolute monstrosity that could potentially damage the land and city!

But seeing it in action and fast it disposed of a Hilichurl camp, it filled her with pride and dread.

Pride for her S/O's creative ingenuity, but absolute fear for what S/O and Klee could make next.

Especially considering how fast S/O's machine moved, and the weapons it had.

Where did Klee find the gunpowder for quad-cannons mounted on it?!

(Jean) "I pray that it won't blow up the city on accident..."

(Fischl) "...WHAT?!"

Fischl completely breaks character upon seeing the giant machine staring at her.

(Fischl) "How did...Why...?! Get down from there and tell me how this mechanical monstrosity came to be!"

(Oz) "You just want to ride the machine yourself, Mein-"

(Fischl) "SILENCE!"

...But yes, she constantly nags S/O to let their Prinzessin give the machine a try.

She finds it so friggin' cool, and desperately wants one of her own, in purple!

She watches with some kind of morbid satisfaction watching S/O's machine wipe out their enemies in electrical explosions.

(Fischl) "I hereby dub your steel horse…Raven, of the 621th star!"

(Oz) "…Why 621?"

Oh, that's where all of Yoimiya's spare fireworks have been going into.

(Yoimiya) "HOLY CRAP! What on earth did you make, S/O?!"

The machine seemed like it leapt from another world!

Especially with how fast it moved, honestly she was amazed S/O wasn't vomiting their guts out as soon as they exited.

While it seemed like it would do massive damage, instead they used it for something even better.

As the machine soared above the skies of Inazuma, the cannons on the arms and shoulders fired toward the moon, the starry night exploding into hundreds of beautiful colors!

They had transformed their machine into a firework powerhouse!

And with how fast it moved, it was able to provide a show from one island to another!

(Yoimiya) "Next festival, you're letting me ride with you! I want to see the work we've done up close!"

She knows the legend holds true, she saw it take place after all. Her dearest companion, turned to stone, right before her eyes.

She made sure the one who done it paid in blood for taking you away.

Overcome by grief she sealed herself away, unable to look at your petrified face. She failed to protect yet another one she cared for.

And here she was now, half a millennium after that forsaken day, strolling through Inazuma all alone.

Citizens did not dare to get in her way, parting like the sea, avoiding her empty stare.

Before she knew of it she was facing your statue. The plaque of metal at your feet tells your story vaguely, the last inscription reading "only a touch of their soulmate may free them now."

At once Ei struck it with her spear, if it only were that simple you'd be in her arms right now.

Discarding her spear she stepped forward and reached for your outstretched hand, the last plea, she remembers how you screamed for her help.

She wasn't fast enough. Thunder comes after lightning, she didn't possess her sister's swiftness.

Little cracks adorned your fingers, a sign of the years of erosion washed over you. She traced them, found her way into your arms again. She didn't know what she was expecting, you were as cold as the steel of a blade.

Until you weren't.

Hard surface rapidly turned into tender flesh.

Now there was a limp body in her arms. Frozen in place Ei held you, quietly she returned to her mind-scape, prompting the Shogun to take over.

Ei sunk to her knees slowly bringing you down, resting your body against hers. A hand reached to the base of your neck, tears gliding down her face as she felt your pulse.

Not a soul knows how much time the electro archon spent cradling your body close to her own, unmoving as she listened to you breathe.

Eventually, your eyes slowly opened, and Ei was there to return your stare, a longing look in her eyes.

A soft gasp passed your lips. Your eyes scanned your surroundings before looking back at her, confusion written on your face.

"Are we dead?"

She shook her head slowly, her red-rimmed eyes holding emotions far bigger than herself.

Her hand gently came to brush your hair out of your face "Do you remember me?"

You held her palm to your face, leaving a soft touch of your lips as your vision became muddled by tears of your own.

"I won't ever forget you, Ei."

Sara

She was patrolling when she spotted Itto surrounded by children next to the statue of the "forgotten lover", so of course, she became suspicious.

Joining the tiny crowd she endured the oni's babbles about how the statue is a person, waiting for their lover to set them free and demonstrating by touching it. Nothing happened.

"Aw man, your loss my statue!"

Sara has had enough, "Arataki Itto, leave the tri-commission's property alone at once." She said, hand reaching out to remove him, but that silly man had other plans.

"Kujou's turn!" He loudly announced as he took a side step, Sara's hands now resting on your stone-cold chest.

For a second she closed her eyes in frustration, then she heard the collective gasps of those around. The stone was cracking open.

Afraid she might have damaged the art piece she stepped away, letting you break out of the shell with the grace of a newborn calf trying to stand up.

Acting on instinct she caught you before you could meet the ground. Your eyes met hers for a moment before you went limp.

"I'll take them to the infirmary." She announced before marching off, carrying you in her arms now. The pang in her heart went unnoticed.

The people were in shock, she was in shock. The tale was true, you were just rock mere moments ago. Or were you trapped in rock? There were too many thoughts going through her head.

After a quick check-up and administrating of fluids the doctors assured you just needed to rest and recover before they left.

Sitting beside your bed, head resting in her hands, she couldn't bring herself to leave. The part of the story where only your lover could set you free repeating in her mind.

Everything else in the story was real. She remembers passing you by for years, have you been waiting all this time? Were you able to see her, were you silently waiting all along?

Several days passed before you opened your eyes again, Sara was there when it happened.

The nice guest room you were in left ignored as your irises focused on her. You tried to speak but it only resulted in a cough.

Sara was quick to bring you into a sitting position with one arm and bring a cup of water to your lips with the other. "Here. Don't force yourself."

After your cup was empty she tried to lead you down again but you remained upright, a determined stare in your eye as you gripped the blanket.

"Are— Are you the one? You broke me free didn't you?" Your voice was frail, yet it filled the otherwise silent room, Sara nodded.

"Save your energy, I'll bring you something to eat."

With her figure gone your eyes finally noticed your surroundings, the room was clean, a window cracked open letting fresh air in. The furniture, though scarce, was made of reddish wood, atop a low desk was a statue of the Shogun a little vase with lavender flowers next to her.

And returned she was, Sara came in holding a little table with five dishes, among them there was an egg roll bearing the electro sigil.

She sat it down in front of you, taking her place next to your futon.

"I must say I have a plethora of questions for you. Regardless, your recovery is the priority, here let me—" but you were already eating with the vigor of a starved wolf. Pausing for a minute when you heard her abrupt stop.

Remembering your manners you gave an apologetic smile "thank you".

"Don't mention it," she said before motioning you to continue "it's good to see you have an appetite, my name is Kujou Sara."

Well, you were glad to finally meet her. You'll have to introduce yourself and tell her what happened to you... as soon as you remember.

Sucrose

She's exploring on the field looking for new specimens to experiment on when she finds you.

Stance crooked, more than half of you is covered in moss and birds have made their nest in your outstretched palm. Curiously, only one finger stands up proudly while the rest are curled in.

"Fascinating..."

She approaches as if you'd come to life any second, careful to avoid the patch of mushrooms growing close by your legs, bleh.

Taking out a notebook she starts scribbling with great interest. Common moss from your shoes to your torso, the lichens there are not anything special either, what caught her attention was a lonely astilbe flower growing from your hood as dirt slowly gathered there over time.

It is a rather small and sturdy specimen with pale pink petals to match it.

With skilled hands she replanted the flower where it could thrive, taking a part of it for further examination.

"Here you go." She says, dusting off her gloves looking proud of her work.

She turns to head back toward her lab and mark you on her map. Only that when she does you're sitting down, your legs crossed, very much alive and breathing.

"WAAAAAA!"

She stumbles backward, landing on the forest floor looking at you with wide eyes, mouth agape.

"Hello" you raise your hand as if to wave, only to put it back down after "do you know where I am?" you ask. The fact you don't know your location not seeming to affect you very much.

"Y— You're alive"

"Clearly. Are you lost as well?"

She shakes her head, a nervous twitch in her ears matching her trembling fingers. Cute.

"Were you alive from the beginning? Is it a special ability? A defense mechanism perhaps?" Curiosity rests behind her round glasses, she tucks her legs close to sit more comfortably as you two converse.

"Nothing of the sort, I got trapped in 'undying ice' by a woman after I stumbled upon her and a bard talking," you say, eyes looking down as you pick at the moss on your clothes. It surely will take more than one good scrub to take it off.

Taking her pen out once again Sucrose started taking notes. Recreating this type of ice would be a massive discovery in bio-alchemy and a step closer to her wonderland.

"Do you perhaps know how she made it?" She asks, looking up from the notebook, her eyebrows furrowed.

"With her hands. Allegedly, she is a love goddess, and only 'my one true love can ever get me out of it'." You roll your eyes speaking with faux grandeur.

A bigger twitch in her ears, almost making them stand up. Eyes widening, her face reddening she adjusts her glasses.

"As if such a thing as a soulmate exists," you continue your little rant as poor Sucrose tried to gather herself.

Soulmates? You and her? Being busy with her studies all the time she never stopped to think about such things.

"So are you gonna tell me where we are or am I just going to go figure it out on my own?" You tell her as you stand up, a myriad of bones popping and cracking in your body as you stretch.

"We... we're in the outskirts of Mondstad," she says, catching up to guide you out of the forest before you have the chance to get yourself lost.

You hum in response before settling to walk beside her. "I'm S/O, by the by."

"Sucrose, nice to find you."

Fischl

She's read a book about it. A knight beyond this realm was sent on a mission to rescue a princess, now trapped in stone by the gods for intruding upon teyvat. Only the princess herself could rescue them.

Lo and behold the statue in Mondstad matched the sketch drawn in said book to perfection.

Why would the gods imprison you for trying to save someone? In the city of freedom, no less.

She couldn't possibly allow that to pass, it was her duty as a member of the adventurer's guild to free you, or so she told Oz.

Stepping into the garden, she could almost see your face from where it was hidden in your palms, your legs crossed resting on a stone pedestal. Judging by the moss at your feet this was a new implementation to preserve you.

She let her hand rest on one of your own, just what happened to you?

She gasped, eyes widening as the rock chipped at every corner and slowly you rose your head from your palms, rubble falling down your body like ashes. Tear-stained face peering into her own.

Your head tilted slightly as you rubbed your eyes, looking mystified by her.

"Princess?" You inquire in a hush, "What happened to your eye? Are you alright?" Before you could move to get down she raises a hand before you.

"Halt, you know who I am?"

"Are you not Princess Fischl?" You move your legs to dangle from the pedestal. "You sure look alike. She fled the castle and left me a note asking me to come find her here, she doesn't want to marry the prince her family betrothed her to." You explain while fiddling your fingers.

"What hath happened to thee then? wherefore w're thee a statue?"

There was a fond look in your eyes as you leaned forward.

"Why you speak like her as well, are you sure you're not my princess? Are you playing a trick on me, your royal highness?" You teased.

"I am not, anon answ'r mine own questions betimes thee knight!"

A gentle smile settled on your lips as you moved to the right, patting the place next to you "take a seat, I'll tell you everything mein fräulein."

Barbara

She remembers a young Jean telling her about the statue of the one who learned to fly, trapped in stone by Decarabian soon after.

Pax Ventus was the name inscribed at your feet, the legend came to be as a tale sung by bards throughout history.

The inventor who crafted the first glider in an attempt to escape oppression, to this day your statue carries your symbol of freedom.

After a particularly tiring day, Barbara went on a walk to her one quiet place, filled with memories of her early childhood.

"I'm just as tall as you now, maybe next year you'll be the short one." Talking with a statue wasn't the sanest activity, but you were in a quiet area rarely visited by others.

Looking down she could see vines have climbed up your legs, again, "Oh goodness, does nobody care for you? Don't worry, Barbara's here." She asked as she knelt to unwrap the leaf climbers.

She stood back up when your stone shell began to break, revealing a perfectly frozen-in-time you.

You tried to step but quickly figured your legs weren't cooperating.

"Careful!" Luckily Barabara swept in quickly, walking you to a nearby bench.

The sky is bright, warm weather, and lush greens? "Am I in heaven? Are you an angel?" You turned to the deaconess, a dazzled expression on your face.

"Oh no," she waved her hands in front of herself "You're in Mondstad, I'm Barbara, just a regular person." She specified with a curt smile.

"Mondstad? I'm from Mond but I've never seen it else than cold n' gloomy." You fiddle with the leaves of a nearby bush. "How long have I been trapped?"

"I'm afraid I don't know, you been here since I could remember Pax." She shook her head, folding her hands in her lap.

"Pax? My name is S/O," you raised an eyebrow, who would name their child Peace?

"Ah! I'm terribly sorry, I thought the writing there was your name," she explained pointing towards where you stood just minutes ago.

You pushed the laugh bubbling in your chest down, how could someone from Mond not know Latin?

"Mind helping me out of these?" You rolled your shoulders, the wings on your back moving in sync.

"Of course."

With a few instructions, together you managed to undo the harness, letting your back rest on the wooden bench.

"That's much better. I feel light as a feather now," you sighed, eyes closed as you enjoyed the warm sun.

You heard something clank to the pavement.

"Oh shit!"

Quickly going to inspect your equipment you raised in the air a strange greenish orb encased in a golden frame. "I didn't make this" You mumbled.

Barbara gasped, hands clasped at her mouth and eyes wide.

"Oh uh sorry, it just slipped," you raised your other hand in front of yourself with an apologetic smile, unaware of the importance of the object in your hands.

|| YANDERE GENSHIN IMPACT [ COLLEGE AU ] [ PART ONE / FOUR ]

"Why must there exist a world where suffering is the norm ? Why must there be a high possibility of losing your loved ones by the hands of others ?"

[ First year ]

Sucrose is quite an eccentric individual, and everybody has mixed feelings about the said individual.

Though it isn't hard to notice her shy nature, it is as if her shyness doubled when it came to you, a third year student.

She isn't like this with everybody she meets, and certainly she doesn't stutter more often than not with you whenever you try and strike up a conversation.

When she becomes aware that you noticed her, it seems as if she is working harder and harder by the day, and you couldn't help but just stare in amazement whenever she does an experiment that could easily rival yours, an experiment that is even better than what you could do, yeah.. Yours aren't good at all.

Due to her shy nature, you only began to notice her a few weeks after you transferred in the school, considering that she is all over the place.

She only saw you when you visited their teacher while he was teaching Mathematics, it isn't hard for the said student to gain the attention of everybody in her class, including her, after all, a third year student doesn't always visit a first year's class, don't they? While you were too busy talking with their Mathematics teacher, she was in a daze, even when she wanted to look away, she couldn't.

What have you done to her..? This isn't normal.. Such feelings are only experienced when an individual is.. Is..! --

Sucrose understands bio - alchemy more than anything, that doesn't mean that she isn't good at anything else, it is just that she understands bio - alchemy more, she didn't know for certain what she felt when she saw you, so of course she's curious.

And even if her curiosity could become her downfall, she couldn't help it! If she's interested in something, she'll do what she usually does, investigate.

She'll watch you from afar, writing all of the information she could get from you.

And even though she understands bio - alchemy better than anything else, she understands that this isn't love at first sight, more like curiosity.

She hasn't seen you around here, and being the shy kid in class, all she could do is watch everybody from afar, and it's obvious that she hasn't seen you once.

But as time passed, she found you more intriguing, you appear to be an open book, and yet you seem to be hiding more secrets than anybody else.

That curiosity turned into something more.. Darker.

She no longer wanted information about you because of curiosity, rather she needed wanted information about you because..

What if she fails to impress you..? What if you strike up a conversation with her..? What will she say? She doesn't want to see you get uncomfortable because she said something wrong, no no no..! That cannot happen.

This is only once that she actually becomes interested in something else other than alchemy, and that happened to be you.

[ First year ]

Fischl, similar to Sucrose, is also a rather eccentric individual, the aura of confidence and her act of being a princess is certainly a memorable trait of hers.

She pays no mind to anyone who finds her role play childish, and that's what made her stand out more than the rest, she still continued to be herself without the opinions of others being in the way.

But if there is something she would rather never say to anyone, it is the fact that these negative comments about her are actually affecting her.

She refuses to appear.. Weak, no, she couldn't..!

So what will her reaction be when she doesn't hear you speak anything ill about her?

Oh.. No, no, that's impossible..! There is no way --

You did not, you simply shrugged your friends off, and went on with your day, not once did you feel weirded out with her role play, or become confused with her way of speaking, no, you did not.

Such a person exists?

Every compliment makes her melt, every praise, everything, and you didn't even seem ashamed of having her with you, you paid those negative comments about her no mind.

But where did this all start, anyway?

When? Why? How?

Hah, fate must have absolutely adored her so much..! That they gave you to her, or probably not, there are so many students in the way.

Come on..! Why won't they give up!

You could say that all of the first year students are transfers in this college, and of course the talk of a new transfer student isn't new, especially since the year is simply starting and summer break has ended.

But she never thought that you'd be one of them, and you're a third year no less.

She saw you while you were talking with your friends, and they had asked you what you had thought about her, about Fischl.

Perhaps you just didn't know her, which is why you didn't speak ill about her, but you definitely know her, a lot, which was further proven when she came to talk to you while it was lunch.

It was quite a nice talk, to be honest, she didn't need to translate anything because you understood her very well.

You two continued to do so as weeks passed, and you two grew more closer than ever.

It isn't everyday she meets someone that is similar to you, oh, what is she even talking about? Of course not!

You're one of a kind, and to say that she is lucky to have met you is an understatement.

[ First year ]

Noelle is a rather kind and caring individual, she would not hesitate to leap into action whenever somebody needs help with either their assignment(s) or duties, which makes her absolutely adored by the entire school.

But she is also the type to forget that the word rest even exists and overworks herself more often than not.

She is well aware that she has limitations, but why would she just sit there and whine about not getting any rest when there are people who could be wishing for some sort of help?

She's too caring and nice for her own good, which is why the risk of her getting used by others is high, absolutely high.

And she does, lots of individuals use her just to get their work done, when they could've done it themselves, it is such a harsh truth.

But she doesn't seem to mind, she is actually enduring this when anyone else could've already snapped, and that's one of her best qualities, her patience, yet it is also a trait of hers that is her weakness.

She's too blinded by the need to help others, that she forgets her own well being, and that's when you stepped into her life, a guardian angel when she needed it the most.

She met you probably four days (?) Later, after you transferred to the school, an angel like you, walked around the corridors, and offered her your help, she obviously denied, but you being you, insisted, and she liked that about you.

After helping her out, coincidentally, a few days later, you reappeared again to help her, in the same spot you first helped her.

You two talked a lot, day after day, and friendship bloomed.

You two became more closer than ever, and she liked it that way.

But would she still be okay if some.. Insect decided to lay their filthy hands on you? No, of course! You're her friend, and friends help each other, no matter what.

So she simply told them what she thought about the situation, and left them, but tomorrow morning, they just dared to lay their hands on you..?!

She, despite looking fragile and pathetic, was quite the opposite, and it was further proven when she had defended herself and you when the guy became violent.

And this was all for you, she did this for you, and she realised just how vulnerable you are compared to this world, she needed to protect you, she needed to keep a closer eye on you.

But she knows, she's absolutely aware that if what she feels is only her protectiveness, then she wouldn't have to stalk you --

Oh, what is she thinking? Of course it's only alright for her to protect you! She's your friend, afterall.

[ First year ]

Xiao is definitely not the type to be seen immediately whenever you enter the room, unless you're looking for him, but that's rare.

He doesn't know what he did to have ever met you, and I suppose you could say that he's slightly insecure.

I would be lying if i said that no one harbours feelings for him, but he quickly shut them off, giving them a clear hint that he isn't interested.

And he wasn't bothered again, and he likes it that way.

He is your seatmate in History, and surprisingly, he is good at it, and it's a win win for the both of you.

He gets to sit next to you, and in return, he'll help you with any assignment(s) your professor has given to all of you.

As the quiet kid in class, it's not that hard for him to go unnoticed, but surprisingly, that's different with you, it always seems as if you know whether he's in the room or not, or probably just even outside the room.

He appreciates it whenever you give him your attention in your spare time, i mean, it isn't everyday you get someone to pay attention to you, especially since he has never made any move for any social interaction whatsoever.

Long story short, he had only met you when you visited the rooftop at lunchtime, a pretty thing like you, walking around with a lunchbox in hand, that was when your friend came into the picture, Xiao will admit, the ginger you were talking with was quite annoying, and.. And touchy.

Anyway, wasn't the ginger Mr. Zhongli's friend? What was his name again..? Childe? Was it? Or was it Tartaglia?

Oh, right, he goes by many names, and he gets on Xiao's nerves more often than not, speaking of, the ginger never even did anything that wouldn't piss Xiao off.

He absolutely hates it whenever somebody would take your attention off of him, and he doesn't like it as well whenever you'd pay attention to anything else other than him.

When did this all start, anyway? Why is he acting so.. Obsessive with you? Just what are you even doing to him?

Well, was it because you actually gave him the affection he was well aware he needed? Was it really his deceased friends who last looked at him as if he was a treasure he didn't know he was? Probably.

[ First year ]

Aether is quite the star in the school, he's absolutely popular along with his twin sister, named Lumine, he's absolutely helpful, too.

And that's all the more reason why others harbour feelings for him, some even deeper than others.

He is also good friends with Xiao, two perfect beings in the eyes of others, but really, they're just human.

Aether isn't afraid to put his reputation to good use, he says, when all he's doing is spreading dark information about any pests that dare mess with something that is his.

Whenever he sees you coming, he just smiles ever so brightly that it could blind all students near him, and you do as well, and that feels like a blessing to him.

He knows that he deserves you, after all of that hard work just to reunite with his sister, surely he deserves a reward for finally reaching his goal, correct?

And what else could be a better reward than you?

He's afraid that you don't look at him the same way that he does with you, he's afraid that you won't feel any romantic feelings with him.

But isn't that just ridiculous? Why wouldn't you like him? He's got the reputation, the looks, the money, and the desire to give you a good life, so why wouldn't you choose him in the end?

He's well aware of your harem, all of them do, from the first years to the fourth years, you've got all of them wrapped around your finger, and he has a feeling that you are aware of that.

But still.. You are still looking at him as if he was a friend to you, that he isn't anything more than a simple classmate who you'll learn to forget in the future.

And that just hurts.

He met you while you were at the cafeteria, waiting in line, he was behind you, and when you sat back down your seat, he and his sister joined you, which obviously shocked everybody else.

He also accidentally addressed you by your name, and while he and his sister didn't know any better, you paid no mind to it and silently ate your food.

And it was only hours later that both of them realised that you were a third year.

Perhaps it was the way that you didn't correct the both of them by saying something along the lines of, 'I'm actually a third year, so you should call me senpai' or whatever that made him feel embarrassed, and what else could be a better way of apologising than to hang out with you and ask an apology after that?

Summertime Odyssey Event headcanons 1

Friendly reminder that English is not my first language. You can check my Masterlists both in English and Polish here.

AN: it's very hard to keep up with haiku syllables in English but I'm trying my best to modify my orginal poetry.

You didn't quite know what adventure awaited you when you agreed to go with Lumine and four new friends to a mysterious island...

Kaedehara Kazuha

✧ As an old Angel's Share regular, you met Kazuha a day earlier than the rest of the group. He can't handle alcohol well. Unfortunately for him, he met you and Venti. While the two of you were barely drunk, he was already falling asleep on his stool. You decided to help him. You didn't know where to take him, so you stayed with him. His surprise in the morning was huge...

✧ He purposely didn't suggest you explore the island with him and Lumine right after you arrived. He felt trouble in the wind. He wanted to spare you pain so that you could have a nice rest. And yet, you pushed yourself in, curious as to where they were going. He just smiled, not wanting to refuse you. He promised nothing would happen to you.

✧ He taught you to play the leaf. You've never heard of it before. You were impressed that even that was able to make an instrument. You can't wait to show this trick to Venti.

✧ You have no vision, so he kept you very close. He saved your life when one of the Hilichurls, lurking on the small islands, unexpectedly released an arrow in your direction. You fell on the boat in a rather awkward position. He seemed calm as you lay over him. You, on the other hand, turned red in the face and Paimon laughed about it the rest of the way. If only you knew what was going on in Kazuha's head:

Mona

✧ You didn't want to believe her when she said she could tell the future. At the beginning of the journey, you did not manage to get along with each other at all. When you finally said you'd believe when you saw the miracles work, it turned out that your future couldn't be seen. You burst out laughing.

✧ She gave you a kiss on the cheek when you helped her deal with Fischl. Sometimes she really couldn't stand her and would look for you just so the girl would leave her alone. After a while, she realized that she actually wanted to be with you, not just because of the annoying princess.

✧ She patiently explained to you the types of constellations in her mirage. Without her, you would surely get lost in this great place. You completely forgot most of the layouts but she doesn't need to know that...

✧ You took her hat to see how you look in it. As you looked at yourself in it, in the water, she splashed it in your face. You hit her back. A water battle has broken out in which you have failed miserably. You were both soaked to the bone.

Xinyan

✧ Your favorite activity in the islands was cooking. You were a very good team preparing the delicacies. During one of the group's meals, you deliberately over-salted it to see if your companions would react. Only Lumine and Kazuha were silent. The rest almost murdered you. Especially Paimon.

✧ You have been basking in the sun for a very long time. Xinyan has quite a dark complexion but she gladly accepted the sunscreen you had in your bag. They cannot be purchased at Liyue, much to her sadness. You, on the other hand, coming from Sumer, would not have made it without him in the desert.

✧ You were very impressed with how she was able to respond to her family's annoyances without hurting them. You've never been braver than her to follow your dreams alone as an artist in a land of scholars. She was the first person to understand how you felt and you were grateful for that.

✧ You promised to take her on a trip to your country when you return from the islands. She can't wait to spend more time with you. She will definitely take her guitar with her to sing to you along the way.

Fischl

✧ If there was a person you had a hard time getting along with at first, it was Fischl. However, once your bard abilities came into play, things became simpler. Fischl expected flowery words and you delivered them. She hailed you as the Smartest, Able to break through mundane life and a Brightly enlightened singer with skillful fingers. You helped the group throughout the trip, otherwise they would have had a hard time with her.

✧ Oz blurted out that his mistress has a special crush on you. Of course, she denied it and confirmed it at the same time. All in the most roundabout way possible.

✧ You cheered her on to face her dark side. You were relieved when her mirage case was finally resolved because you were genuinely worried about her. When you complimented her new outfit, she forgot for a moment and thanked you in simple words.

✧ Afterwards, you tried to ask her about her parents and real name but she's not going to talk about it again. You respected it. She asked you to play her a love ballad by the fire, which you gladly did.
