Prestwald Hall

Hi guys!!

I'm sharing Prestwald Hall . This is the 9th building for my English Manors Collection, and I will add many more!

House History: Prestwold Hall was, for many years, the seat of the Packe family. Before that time, it was the home of the Skipwith family. After the death of Major Robert Christopher Packe (born c.1783) - one time Aide-de-camp to King George III - who was killed during the Battle of Waterloo, the hall passed to his nephew George Hussey Packe who held the hall and estate until his death in 1874.

The Hall was remodelled by architect William Burn in 1842–1844, incorporating the fabric of a mid-18th-century H-plan house. It was Grade I listed in 1951.

One of the finest rooms inside the house is the Entrance Hall with its richly coloured marbled plaster work in the Italian style. The painted ceiling was inspired by Raphael’s Vatican grotesques and incorporates miniature landscapes, showing the house before and after its remodelling between 1842 and 1844. Below the ceiling, wreathing the room, are small medallion busts of the poets from Chaucer to Scott, positioned in the spandrels and are likely inspired by Alberti's external arcade at the Tempio Malatestiano in Rimini. An arcade opens on to a vaulted corridor leading to a top lit inner hall: these spaces also marbled. Off the corridor, the cantilevered stone staircase survives from the eighteenth century house, and was given its bracketed brass balusters by William Wilkins (1751-1815) in 1805.

The Dining Room, added by Wilkins in 1805, was incorporated into the remodelling undertaken by the Scottish architect William Burn in 1842. The room is overlooked by two dramatic full length portraits of Sir Edward Hussey Packe, KBE (1878 – 1946) and the Hon. Lady Mary Sydney Packe (née Colebrooke, 1890 – 1973) by the painter Glyn Philpot RA (1844 – 1947). The portrait of Lady Packe, painted in 1911, was described by the art historian Robin Gibson OBE as an ‘amazing feat of virtuosity’. Its elongated elegance and introspective characterisation is totally without the fashion-plate vulgarity of much Edwardian portraiture. Other portraits hang in this room of the Packe family including a painting of Sir Christopher Packe (1595 – 1682) who purchased the house in the 17th century painted by Cornelis Janssens van Ceulen (1593 –1661).

The library extends nearly the entire length of the house when the large doors that separate it from the drawing room are opened, connecting the two rooms. With clever use of constructional steel, William Burn was able to create these long adjoining rooms. The windows rise from floor level and open onto the garden which enhances the notion that Prestwold was designed in the style of an Italian classical villa. The doors and bookcases in library were made for George Hussey Packe (1846–1908) by Gillows of Lancaster and London in 1875.

A conservatory fills the recessed central bay at the front of the house, and projects out towards the garden. Behind the glass and elegant Doric pilasters, are well planted raised beds with a number of exotic plants and flowers

Putin Says Western Bases Hosting Ukraine’s F-16s Would Be Legitimate Targets

Russia warns it may attack NATO bases possibly used to launch Ukraine’s F-16s.

If the F-16s are delivered to Ukraine, Russia could also strike NATO bases from which the jets would launch. The threat was issued by Vladimir Putin during a meeting with a group of pilots at Tver, northwest of Moscow. The Russian President said an escalation could be provoked by the delivery of the promised Fighting Falcon jets, for which training of Ukrainian pilots is underway.

“F-16s are capable of carrying nuclear weapons, and we will also need to take that into account while organizing our combat operations,” Putin said.

“Of course, if they are used from bases in third countries, they would be a legitimate target for us, no matter where they are,” he added.

However, the Kremlin believes not even the supply of these fighters will be able to change the course of the conflict, “We will destroy their warplanes just as we destroy their tanks, armored vehicles and other equipment, including multiple rocket launchers”.

Ukraine has long been asking its Western partners for the delivery of F-16s. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said last year that at least 42 F-16s had been promised (the number is not known, but according to the most reliable sources, they should be 60), with the first deliveries expected by the Summer of 2024. Meanwhile, Ukrainian pilots, with different degree of flying experience, are at various stages of training, both in the U.S. and in Europe.

The delivery of the F-16s won’t be a game-changer, considering the need to integrate them in the Ukrainian Air Force, the lack of specific experience of Ukrainian pilots on the type and in view of Russia’s massive air force and sophisticated air defense systems. The weapon system requires logistic support, infrastructure and weapons: it will take years before the whole “ecosystem” that is required to sustain effective combat operations with the Fighting Falcon can be exploited at its best.

However, in the short and mid term, the “Viper” (as the F-16 is nicknamed in the pilot community) will be a quick upgrade from the current MiG-29s: the “new” jets will be used to detect, hunt and engage cruise missiles, helicopters, UAVs and Russian fighters, and to conducting air strikes on Russian targets with stand-off missiles. The F-16s can also be used to fire the AGM-88 HARM missiles (a type that was not “natively” compatible with the Ukrainian combat aircraft but was integrated with the MiG-29 and Su-27) and JDAMs bombs in SEAD/DEAD (Suppression/Destruction of Enemy Air Defenses) missions that are particularly important on the Ukrainian battlefield.

We will see.

Oh fun question. We capitalize Black in this house, and this is absolutely going to show my age but you asked, and I wouldn't say favourite for most, because I don't know that I have a strong attachment to every show but did like them, and you'll probably notice, most of the time they just have to be Black and on a show for me to like them so here we go:

It always struck me as deranged that whenever the gargoyles in general, but ESPECIALLY Goliath AND Demona turned human, all of them were always white. Just didn't make any sense even as a kid, and I blame racism. This is probably the only time I'll go up for non-human characters coded as Black and no I won't be arguing about this.

Hi! I don’t know if you’re still talking asks about the yj animorphs au, but just in case you are: how does each girl keep herself sane and grounded (or something close to it)? Does Laura Lee become even more driven by faith? Does Nat try to convince herself that she can “find her purpose” like in the show? Does Van retreat into fantasy and films? I’d read a thousand page novel of this au, I find it so fascinating :) Thanks!

anyways, to answer your question:

laura lee’s faith remains her anchor amidst the horror of the war. she remembered staring up at the angels on the stained glass windows in church as a little girl. it was their wings that fascinated her the most - what would it be like, she’d ask herself, to go to heaven, to be so close to god ? well, god works in mysterious ways. her question is answered when she morphs a peregrine falcon for the first time and she learns what it’s like to touch heaven for herself. she knows it’s a little strange, but she likes to go through her litanies while she rides the updraft winds. maybe being closer to heaven will mean god has a better chance of hearing her prayers.

shauna’s mother worried that jackie’s disappearance and presumed death would hit her even harder than the rough and messy separation from her father. but surprisingly, she seems to be alright. she spends an awful lot of time doting on the pet rabbit she adopted shortly after jackie went missing, but shauna’s mom doesn’t think anything of it.

but really, shauna grounds herself in the spilling of blood. there’s a strange sort of comfort in the danger she throws herself into. she pours all of her rage into each strike she throws. her adrenaline spikes and she feels on top of the world. she feels free. the team sees her as their insurance policy, and she knows that. it’s not her fault she’s so goddamn angry - at herself, at the yeerks, at fucking jackie - but it sure is useful sometimes.

lottie’s trying so hard. but it’s not like she can plonk on her psychiatrist’s couch and say “doc, can you up my meds? being the commander of earth’s only hope against utter destruction is kind of taking a toll on me.” she tries to be the lottie matthews everyone expects her to be. but she also throws more parties, smokes more cigarettes, steals more shitty clothes from tj maxx. she’s trying, she really is.

i’ll add a part two to this tomorrow because i have more to say but absolutely no mental capacity to explain any of it in my current state. anyways, there is a good chance i might write a thousand or more pages for this so you’re in luck

Frank turned off his truck engine and cracked his neck. That had been a bit of a longer errand than he’d expected thanks to a road closure due to a car accident on the highway.

“Fucking Sunday Florida drivers.” He muttered, hopping down from his Mitsubishi. He headed up the path and through the side door, greeting Thor who had wandered into the mud room having heard his footsteps.

“Hey boy…”

After giving him a fuss, he moved through to the kitchen-slash- family room and smiled as he saw Fliss and Mary on the sofa, bowl of popcorn between them.

“Hey…” Fliss looked over and he smiled.

“Hey, honey.” He crossed to give her a quick kiss, “sorry I’m so late back.”

“It’s okay. I saved your dinner when you called.”

“Thanks. You okay, Stack?”

“Yup.” She didn’t turn from the TV.

“Alex in bed?”

“Mmmhmmm.” Fliss nodded, “went down half an hour or so ago.”

Frank sighed, he hated missing bed time, especially seeing as he’d set off almost three hours ago for what should have been an hour round trip, tops. He should have been home, had dinner, and helped put his boy to bed in the time it had taken him to drive across town and back. His eyes then strayed to the TV as Mary laughed.

“What are you watching?”

“She Hulk.” Fliss replied, shoving a handful of popcorn in her mouth.

“What?” Frank arched a brow.

“It’s a Marvel show.”

“A female hulk? How? I mean-“

“Look, stop asking as you hate Marvel, you won’t like it.” Mary stated, then she giggled, “look, Mom, she’s got Captain America’s butt as a screen saver!”

Fliss paused the screen and smirked as she tilted her head to one side. “Oh yeah…”

“That’s America’s ass.” Mary giggled, saluting as Fliss laughed.

Frank scoffed, “well, seeing as my boy is in bed and you two are somewhat preoccupied with a fictional soldier’s rear end…”

“Errr have some respect for Steve Rogers.” Fliss narrowed her eyes. Frank arched his brow in response before he snorted.

“I’m gonna have my dinner and nip out and do some more work on the Camper Van.”

“You know, you guys have had that thing like almost two years and you’re still doing it up, Dad!” Mary stated the obvious.

“Hey, it works, we’ve been out and used it.” Frank folded his arms, “this is its second do up…I’m merely updating the engine and some of the cosmetics and tu-“ he stopped and narrowed his eyes as Mary sniggered. “What is this? Pick on Frank day?”

“Oh hush.” Fliss smirked, “go and get your hands dirty, leave us to watch our show.”

“Ohhh after this can we start a rewatch of Falcon And The Winter Soldier?” Mary asked.

“Sure.” Fliss shrugged, “but only one episode tonight. You got school tomorrow. And it’s Alex’s first day back at Daycare so we need to be up and ready.”

"Fine... Fine..." Mary sighed, popping kernels in her mouth.

Frank dropped a kiss to Fliss’ head before he made his way back to his truck for the box of spare parts he had been to collect. He tucked them under one arm and headed into his garage and stepped through to the workshop.

“Hey, Wanda…” he patted the shiny blue camper van fondly on the bonnet. He chuckled to himself, he was well aware the name belonged to a Marvel character, and was also a play on the word “wander” which had been suggested by Mary.

He’d spent his time doing the vehicle up, just as he had with his boat and finished it mostly almost seven months to the date since they’d been given it as a gift.

Since then, they’d had a few goes in it up and down the County. Camping trips , days out and it had worked well enough but as with his boat, Frank had identified further improvements to “pimp his ride” even more. These included a bigger engine, chrome plated fenders and wing mirrors, a state of the art entertainment system and new leather upholstery to replace the current cloth ones that Fliss and her mum had installed as a stop gap measure.

An hour and a half into said engine improvements, or his 'Frank time' as he'd taken to referring to it as, Fliss came out, his dinner plate in hand.

"Hey Sailor, you forgot something..."

Frank looked round and gave a little chuckle, “shit. Sorry, Cowgirl.”

She popped a shoulder, “it’s okay. Mary’s headed to bed. She told me to tell you she’s calling child services to report you for neglecting your father-uncle duties, and will be referring to you as Frank for the next forty-eight hours as punishment.”

“Huh, could she not just talk to me at all?” His eyes twinkled with humour.

“Well, she pondered that but then decided you’d tell her that wasn’t a punishment, more like a very welcome break.”

Frank pointed at her with a smirk, "Yahtzee."

Fliss laughed, shaking her head. “How long you intending on staying out here? Not that it matters, just figuring out whether or not I can start my weekly lesson plans for the yard or wait until tomorrow morning.”

"You could sit out here and do them, I'll bring up that little table."

“Huh, not just a pretty face are you?”

"Meh, I've been known to have brighter days." He shrugged. "At least sit with me while I eat."

“Alright, you got any beer in that fridge?” She nodded to the back of the workshop and Frank scoffed.

“How long you known me? Course there’s beer in there.”

“Well then gimme one.”

“We are still talking about the beer, yeah?” Frank grinned.

“Pervert.”

Frank laughed as he moved to pull two cold Buds out of the fridge. He popped the caps and handed one to Fliss.

"Why thank you, Sailor."

She took it from him, her eyes straying to his hand and she frowned. “Hey, you’re bleeding.”

Frank looked down at his hand, noticing the knick on his knuckles. He wiped it on the rag, half out his pocket. "It's nothing, grazed it tightening up something."

“Did you seriously just wipe it with that filthy shit rag?” Fliss wrinkled her nose as Frank perched on a stool in front of his work bench. “You’re disgusting .”

He popped a shoulder and sipped his bottle. "Done worse."

Fliss shook her head, “let me see.”

He took a small bite of his meal and passed his hand over to her. "It's nothing."

She took a deep breath and gently took it, twisting her wrist so his fingers lay across her palm. She gently swiped her thumb over the back of his knuckles as she looked at his skin.

He was currently grubby from the work he’d been doing. And the hand she held was sporting a few healing cuts and grazes, from various minor knocks he picked up at work or around their home and yard. They were dotted across his long fingers and the back of his hand. His blunt nails were dirty, but would be scrubbed clean that night before bed, just as they always were when he came home from work or finished whatever hobby project he was working on.

Maybe once, in a time before she’d met him, they’d been softer and neater, thanks to his previous career as a professor. But now, Frank Adler had well worn and weathered hands.

And Fliss fucking adored them.

She loved the way those fingers would drum noisily on a surface, indicating he was bored, maybe restless or impatient. How they’d slap his thigh or hers when he had made a decision. Even the way he would crack his knuckles either absentmindedly when deep in thought, or on purpose with a smirk as he knew the noise made her shudder and grimace as she hated it.

But what she loved the most was how those hands, so tough, rough and calloused from years of manual labor were also as soft and gentle as the man they belonged to.

Five years ago, on a boat out on the open water, they'd held her to him as he'd kissed her tenderly. Three years back, they’d delicately yet ever so safely held their baby boy for the first time in the hospital, and continued to be safe, careful and strong with both her and the kids.

They could also be a little possessive. His fingers would slip through hers when in public, or grip her hip as his arm slid round her waist, always just tight enough to keep her close, squeezing when he knew she needed reassurance or comfort, or simply wanted to remind her, and anyone else for that matter, that he was there and she was his.

They were delicate and loving when he trailed his fingers up and down her arm, her neck or her spine. They would dance across her shoulders or skin, heating her from the inside out.

And of course, there were other things those hands could do, when they were alone…

"Frankie..."

“Yeah?"

Brown eyes met blue from beneath heavy lids and Frank arched his brow.

Fliss moved to stand between his legs, which were spread apart at the knees as his feet rest on the lower rung of his stool. “Put your hands on me, Sailor.”

Frank hopped down and grabbed her by the waist, turning turned their bodies so her back bumped the work bench. "But I'm filthy."

“And?”

A low chuckle bounced that Adam's apple in his throat. Frank cupped her face. He gazed at her and smirked before he dove right in to give her a harsh kiss, filled with tongue.

She kissed him back, her own hands tangling in his hair, nails taking over his scalp.

“Whaddya want, cowgirl?” His lips hovered over hers.

“Your hands…”

“Yes, ma'am." With a grin he kissed her again. “Turn around.”

Fliss smirked as her eyes glowed with mischief. She spun on the ball of her foot and leaned against the workbench. Craning her neck so she could peer over her shoulder, she smirked. "Well?"

“Sassy tonight, I like it.” He grinned as he pulled her back into him. His hands squeezed her hips, before he gripped the hem of her vest top and pulled it over her head.

Fingers glided up her sides and belly until Frank's hands covered her bra covered breasts and gave them a generously hard squeeze.

Fliss sighed, her head rolling back onto his shoulder.

"Again..." she said softly as her arm snaked up Frank's neck.

Frank chuckled, his lips fluttering against her neck as his hands pulled down the cups of her bra. “Like that?” His voice was a raspy whisper as his fingers and thumbs found her nipples.

A lustful moan came out her throat from the depths of her chest, the vibration beating against Frank's chest. "Yep."

“My hands feel good, huh, baby?” He hummed, tweaking a little harder.

"Always so good."

“Want then to make you cum?”

"Oh, yes...." Fliss whimpered.

Frank gave a low grunt as his teeth nipped her neck, his hands working a little harder. With each tweak, pull and squeeze, he could hear and feel Fliss reacting as she writhed and panted. Her head was completely laid back on his shoulder, eyes closed, mouth open.

"Thassit, Cowgirl. Get lost....." he was in her ear.

He could feel himself growing hard in his tasty jeans, his dick pressing uncomfortably against the crotch of the denim. With a nip to hee ear that made her squeal, his right hand traced its way down her sternum to her belly and slipped into the waistband of her lounge shorts.

Fliss gasped and moaned, the feel of his hands on her was one of her favorite things.

"Oh, Lissy," Frank crooned lowly in her ear, "so wet for me."

“Always…” she gasped, her hand tightening in his hair.

With a grunt of satisfaction at the feel of her fist, Frank began toying with her clit. Running circles around it with his middle finger.

Fliss gasped, her hips bucking at his touch.

“Thassit, baby…” his breath was warm on her face. As those nimble fingers toyed with his wife, coaxing her closer and closer, her pelvis started to move, grinding herself against his palm. "Chase it, baby," he dug his heel upward into her clit as he slipped two fingers inside her wet heat.

“Oh, fuck…” her knees buckled a little and Frank moved his left arm across her chest, holding her up as his fingers found her right nipple.

"Fahk, darlin'," he grunted. "I got you."

“You…you always…oh, god…” she groaned, her eyes flying open, “you always..always do…”

"You're there, cowgirl , c'mon."

Her breath was coming in quick, rapid pants, a staccato rhythm as the feel of his strong arms and those hands she loved so much completely overwhelmed her.

“Frankie…Frank…Frank…”

“I gotchu …” he repeated as he kissed her neck behind her ear. He then groaned when he felt Fliss buck violently in his arms. “Atta girl.”

Her walls clamped around his fingers as she cried out into the silence and dim light of his workshop.

"There you go...." Frank said softly as his lips press into her cheek.

Fliss gave a hum of satisfaction as she sagged backwards. Frank gently slid his hand up and out of her shorts, his fingers sticky with her slick as the rest on her belly.

“I can feel you,” Fliss spoke, her voice raspy as she gained her breath. “Poking me…”

“Well, I’m kinda turned on right now…” he replied , with a cheeky grins of his rock hard dick into the small of her back.

With a slow movement, Fliss turned in his arms and gripped at his shirt. She stepped back towards the work bench, a smirk on her face.

“Well, we best do something about it then, huh?”

So I had some Thoughts about Tulip's experiences with Christmas, and how it'd probably feel this year to be back in her parents' mansion. Cause like, Big Corporate Christmas Parties are a Whole Thing with rich people and her family is Like That so when she was growing up Christmas was likely crowded, stressful and-as she got older and learned just how shitty her parents are-increasingly artificial and joyless. And then depending on when she left it's possible that her first Christmas away from All That was just a normal, cold day alone in her van, and if she bothered to go back to celebrating after the events of the game and her SMGs' arrival it was probably just a small thing with the three of them and probably Dale.

And now they're back in the mansion, and even with her rebuilding the place into something of her own, even with 7, 10, Dale and the ghosts there, the old place is just so Big and Empty and full of bad memories, both in general and of Christmases past.

Except, well, this is also the year she met the other Avatars. And Hocotate and Sequin Land apparently don't have Christmas or equivalent holidays (though the Shantae characters are probably at least aware of it due to Meta Humor), so why not invite over Olimar and Shantae and their SMGs and families to see what's up? And yes Louie and his Nana and Sky, Bolo and the Cadaver Siblings absolutely count. And the Ketchums also usually just do their own small thing (well, small if not for all of Ash's Pokemon and the Oaks and Tracy and whichever of his companions that happen to show up), and they want to make 29 and 30's first Christmas special and Miku's whole Digital Idol thing means she doesn't exactly have family and Jet probably has the same deal Meggy did where he has no idea what Christmas even is, so why not invite them, the mansion probably has enough room for most of the Pokemon and the ones that really Should Not be Indoors like the Tauros and Snorlax have plenty of room out on the grounds.

Then there's the space robot kids and their friends who may or may not have Christmas or Christmas equivalents where they're from but Sally definitely wouldn't normally be celebrating considering where and what her job is so they're definitely in, and Laharl just sort of strolls in unannounced like he owns the place with his little cobbled-together family in tow, and Crown, Twister (the Four-Winged Falcon, Frenzy's little brother. Again, Blatant Sonic Ripoff), 15 and 16 drag in Frenzy since this is apparently The Place To Be (and they do have to drag him because he's being Stupid and assuming that given his past with the Union he won't be welcome).

And even with the other Avatars who have their own Christmas Stuff going on back home (or in the case of Tune's gang they just "happened" to need a place to lay low and decided to crash whatever winter holidays Luminos has, with Jazz (a government agent and Tune's Rival/Girlfriend) and 11 also coming along despite not officially being part of the Gang. They're not fooling anyone) they still manage to pop in every so often.

And now when Tulip was bracing herself for a rough holiday season in that big empty house and her painful history, instead she's got demons and genies and super-powered animals filling the halls. Louie and Delia have taken over the kitchen. Twister and Sicily and Olimar's kids are teaching Sally how to play "The Floor is Lava" and a few of the teens and adults and Pokemon have joined in and Miku's ended up as the Lava Monster somehow. Dale and Mimic alternate between talking shop and swapping stories about their nieces. There may or may not be Something going on between Professor Oak and Louie's Nana. Flonne keeps sneaking mistletoe onto all the doorframes "Because Love" but according to Etna is clearly just doing it to mess with everyone. There was an explosion somewhere and nobody's fessing up. Arle's asleep on the couch and nobody has any idea when she even showed up in the first place. Team Rocket somehow showed up but instead of trying to steal any Pokemon they got strongarmed into helping with the food.

It's just as crowded as it used to be, but now it's noisy and chaotic and full of love, and those cold Christmases from her childhood are mercifully hard to remember surrounded by all this warmth.

Assassins In Love (An Avengers Musical)

Production Notes:

The story and the production design will incorporate elements from the comics, in particular the 616 timeline, but there will be references to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. References to the Avengers Assemble and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes cartoons are very welcome. The goal of the production is to be fan service in good taste, but in such a way that non-fans can also enjoy it. Action scenes/language/sensuality will be kept at the PG-13 level.

The songs will be in the style of classic Broadway and Disney musical numbers, with touches of hip-hop and big band jazz. The superheroes and villains in their fight scenes will wear bright, colorful costumes based on their comic book and film counterparts.

The majority of the story takes place in 2010s New York City. Scenes with flashbacks and travel to other places can be depicted with lighting and stage effects.

Story Synopsis

ACT I:

Prologue—(The prologue will be depicted in a montage of scenes and dances with minimal dialogue).

Steve Rogers/Captain America and Bucky Barnes were best friends and fought side-by-side in World War II. At the end of the war, Captain America goes missing and Bucky is captured by Hydra. Red Skull turns Bucky into the Winter Soldier and uses him as an assassin to enforce Hydra’s agenda.

Meanwhile in Russia, the Red Room headed by Madame B trains young girls to be assassins but incorporates ballet into their program. Young Natasha Romanoff is one of the best pupils in the Red Room. Red Skull and Madame B arrange to have the Winter Soldier train with teenaged Natasha.

In modern times, Captain America returns. He fights the Winter Soldier only to discover that his opponent is his long-lost friend Bucky. Bucky goes into hiding.

Present Day

The Avengers save New York City from a team of supervillains. After the battle, Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff have a personal chat. Steve is adjusting to the modern world. However, ever since his encounter with the Winter Soldier he suspects that Hydra could be building in secret. He is also looking for Bucky but so far the search is fruitless. Natasha Romanoff is content with her existence as an Avenger, but she wonders if she can ever have a normal life and do something besides be an assassin. Sam Wilson arrives to tell Steve that Bucky has turned up.

At the headquarters of SHIELD, Director Nick Fury suspects that Hydra is rising again and warns Phil Coulson and Maria Hill to be on the lookout. Hydra is, in fact, operating under Fury’s nose, led by the Red Skull disguised as Alexander Pierce. Pierce works in a high-profile position at SHIELD. Madame B pays Pierce a visit, and together they plot to destroy the Avengers and help Hydra take over the world. Throughout the play, Madame B is in the background of various crowded scenes, spying on the characters.

After spending months in hiding, Bucky Barnes is in Brooklyn, his and Steve’s childhood home. Bucky is living in the streets while trying to remember his past and put his Winter Soldier days behind him. Steve Rogers finds Bucky and offers him material help. After some persuasion and argument, Steve gets Bucky to move in with him and Sam. Steve also invites Bucky to a party that night being thrown by Tony Stark.

Tony Stark throws a party at the Avengers Tower in Manhattan. While the other guests enjoy the party, Bucky sees Natasha Romanoff from across the crowded room. He remembers her from the Red Room. Natasha sees Bucky also, and she recognizes him. They meet and they talk briefly.

A few days after the party, she goes to Central Park and she sees Bucky again. They discuss their shared past.

Steve gets Bucky a job at SHIELD as a super-agent. For his first assignment, Bucky is sent out with Natasha Romanoff. It is at this point that Bucky recognizes that he has a growing romantic attraction to her.

ACT II:

Bucky has a hard time hiding his feelings for Natasha from the other Avengers. The Avengers and their coworkers at SHIELD believe that Natasha might like him back, but she is in denial. Nick Fury sends Bucky and Natasha undercover to a party in Manhattan hosted by Kingpin. Natasha and Bucky dance together at the party, and then they fight Kingpin’s thugs and arrest the crime magnate.

After the party, Natasha and Bucky frequently go on assignments together, but they also start seeing each other outside of work. Bucky is unsure about where to take his relationship with Natasha. He goes to Steve for advice, and as they reminisce about old times, they rekindle their former friendship. Later, Bucky summons up his personal courage and he tells Natasha that he loves her. They start ‘officially’ dating as a couple, but Madame B is spying on them. Maria Hill, however, is in turn spying on Madame B. Hill tips off Fury that Hydra is going to make their move.

Natasha rented an apartment in Manhattan (furnished by SHIELD) for an ongoing assignment and she is staying there while she and Bucky are dating. Madame B breaks into Natasha’s apartment while she is getting ready for a date with Bucky. Natasha is overpowered and tied to a chair. Then Madame B disguises herself as Natasha and she goes out and captures Bucky.

The Avengers receive Nick Fury’s call for help and they ‘Assemble’ to take out Hydra. Sharon Carter makes a phone call to Natasha and learns that Natasha has been captured and that Bucky is being lured into a trap. While the Avengers go to save Bucky, Natasha attacks her guards and frees herself to go join the Avengers.

When the Avengers come to rescue Bucky, Alexander Pierce reveals himself to them as Red Skull. There is a battle between the Avengers and the Hydra sleeper agents. Natasha arrives, and during the combat she and Bucky steal several moments to ask each other if they are all right. Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes take turns fighting the Red Skull. Red Skull attempts to set off a bomb, but Natasha disables it. Bucky kills Red Skull. Madame B and the other Hydra agents are arrested. Bucky asks Natasha to marry him and she says yes.

Finale: The Avengers throw a big wedding for Bucky and Natasha.

Been thinking abt all the places ryan lives throughout got.ham so I will talk abt them. Bc I want to.

Season 1: lives at falcone manor with carmine

Season 2: once carmine leaves got.ham, ryan starts staying at his own place (that carmine pays for), as he is afraid of staying in a big mansion by himself and being in charge of staff. He's not close enough to oswald yet to live together. After arkham, he lives with his father for a short while and then moves in with oswald at the van dahl mansion

Season 3: lives at van dahl mansion the whole time, except for a shirt while where he stays at falcone manor with carmine while oswald is gone

Season 4: okay they never actually show the van dahl mansion at all in this season for some reason? But im assuming Oswald still lives there bc why would he not. Ryan lives there with him until the end of the season. I don't have my lore totally down for the end of s4 but oswald is lying low at falcone manor which will probably line up with my lore

Season 5: lives at city hall with Oswald

Dakar Chaos Roundup: Stage 2

Marek Goczal became the first member of the Goczal family to be knocked off the podium in the Challenger/UTV class. He, his son Eryk, and brother Michal locked out the podium in the Prologue and Stage 1, but while Eryk and Michal maintained their 1st and 2nd place finishes respectively, Marek finished 4th. The Goczal family retains the overall podium positions, with 19 year old Eryk showing his father and uncle how it's done in his UTV Dakar debut

Carles Falcon was airlifted to hospital after a major accident towards the end of the stage. He was immediately helped by a fellow rider but did not have a pulse when medical attention arrived on the scene. He was successfully resuscitated and transported to hospital where he has since been placed in a medically induced coma. His teammate Isaac Feliu has withdrawn from the rally and travelled to be by his side

American rider Mason Klein, who took 3rd in Stage 1, suffered a major setback after mechanical issues left him stranded, trying to fix his bike, for almost 2 hours today. He was eventually able to fix the bike with the help (and mechanical parts) of his teammate but has dropped from 3rd to 45th in the overall standings

Janus van Kasteren and Aleš Loprais were separated by just 6 seconds in the truck category. Kasteren retains the overall lead by nearly 13 minutes

Carlos Sainz has responded to Nasser Al-Attiyah's previous comments with a very polite "he can think what he likes". El Matador followed this attempt at diplomacy up with an 8th place finish. This performance puts him in the overall lead by just under two minutes

Fans of Seb Loeb (me) were cured of their Stage 1 depression as the rally legend was back in form. He and Stéphane Peterhansel battled all the way to the finish line, and although he finished 2nd, Loeb is now 3rd overall, up from 19th after Stage 1

Speaking of Stéphane Peterhansel, Monsieur Dakar proved once again why they call him that. He already held the record for most Dakar victories, and now (jointly) holds the record for most Dakar stage wins (tied with Ari Vatanen) after taking his 50th stage victory

Cartoon Idea: Scooby-Doo: Mystic Mayhem

This is an idea I've had for a few years now. I've seen a lot of people do their own takes on Scooby-Doo. And since I've been a massive fan of the franchise since I was a little kid, I figured it was my time to finally give my take on this classic franchise.

As you could tell by the title of this post, the name for this series would be called....

Scooby-Doo: Mystic Mayhem!

In this new iteration of the Scooby-Doo franchise, the Mystery Inc. Gang now work for a secret organization known as "Special Covert Organization of Otherworldly Beings", or S.C.O.OB. for short, founded by the Blue Falcon and Dynomutt.

The organization specializes in dealing with supernatural phenomenons from all over the world.

Yep! In this series, the monsters are gonna be real!

I know that this isn't a new thing, there have been plenty of Scooby-Doo media where the supernatural threats are actually real and not some phony in a mask. But this would be the first series that would actually put much greater emphasis on the supernatural being real.

The series will also have a much greater emphasis on action, since the Mystery Gang will all have powers!

Yep, we're going Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on this bitch!

I mean, it shouldn't that surprising though since this show also has a much greater focus on mystical elements than most of its previous iterations.

Perhaps the most important thing to note for this series is the cast. This series will have a pretty huge main cast since this series will be one big Hanna-Barbera crossover.

Of course we already have the Mystery Inc Gang, plus Blue Falcon and Dynomutt, but the rest of S.C.O.O.B. consists of The Neptunes (from Jabberjaw), The Funky Phantom Crew, The Teen Angels (from Captain Caveman), The Speed Buggs (from Speed Buggy), The Sundance Kids (from Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kids), The Ghost Chasers (from Goober and the Ghost Chasers), The Club Club, Penelope Pitstop (from Wacky Races), and The Quest Family (from Jonny Quest).

Not only would it be interesting to have such a big main cast of characters (especially in regards to lesser-known characters) but it would have a lot of potential for interesting dynamics and relationships.

Essentially every episode will focus on a different group of the teenage mystery solvers, though one thing would remain consistent among each group is that Scooby and Shaggy are a part of it.

Mr. Socrates would be an android, instead of a computer like in the original Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kids. That way, he could travel with the group if needed.

Vincent Van Ghoul will be the team’s mysterious mentor, and he’ll help them out in a pinch.

Dr. Benton C. Quest and Race Bannon will be the gadgeteer geniuses that will usually create different kinds of gadgets that will help the teens on their missions.

Also the duo will be a gay married couple because....well, you can't tell me that none of you guys ever thought these weren't together.

Scrappy-Doo will also be featured in the series as major character. If Dragon Ball Super: Broly has taught us anything, it's that a bad character can be rewritten in something much better through the right lenses. And besides, I think we all owe Scrappy an apology, especially after the existence of the show that shall not be named, which made everyone collectively realize.

"Perhaps we treated him too harshly....."

The series will also feature some various new and unique romantic relationships between the teenage mystery solvers.

The ones that involve the Mystery Inc Gang would include Fred/Tinker, Daphne/Gilly, Velma/April, and Shaggy/Dee Dee.

As for the Mystery Inc Gang themselves, let's talk about them real quick and what they can do.

The gang have been lifelong best friends, who have been solving mysteries together since they were little kids.

Their personalities are also the same as before.

Fred is the strategic, lovable himbo leader.

Daphne is the fashionable, crafty and enthusiastic muscle.

Velma is the cute and friendly, but somewhat snarky brains.

Shaggy is the cowardly and laid-back slacker jack-of-all-trades.

And Scooby is still a good boy and the heart of the team.

As for their powers and abilities....

Fred is the strategic mastermind and possesses the power of magnetism.

Daphne is skilled in marital arts and possesses superhuman physicality. She also has energy projection, which she can use to enhance the power of her attacks.

Velma possesses the ability to pinpoint the weak spot of a foe and potential probability advantages and fights using a laser gun.

Shaggy possesses superhuman speed, agility, reflexes and a special sixth sense that allows him to detect danger.

And Scooby can shape-shift into anything he can think of.

Granted, I haven't thought of the origins of their powers yet, but I wanted the powers to reflect something about each members.

Fred's magnetism to reflect his expertise in traps.

Daphne's superhuman physicality and energy projection to reflect her role as a physical fighter.

Velma's pinpointing to reflect her clue finding expertise.

Shaggy's superhuman speed to reflect his role as a school athlete (plus his God-like nature).

And Scooby's shape-shifting to reflect his usual shtick of using various disguises.

As for their voice actors, they will all be reprised by all their long-standing voice actors.

Frank Welker as Fred, Grey Griffin as Daphne, Kate Micucci as Velma, and Matthew Lillard as Shaggy.

The only exception would be Scooby, who would be voiced by previous voice actor Scott Innes, who will be pulling double duty as the returning voice of Scrappy as well.

Before we wrap this up, I do want briefly bring up the world-building.

Mystic Mayhem will essentially be like a spiritual successor to DuckTales (2017), taking elements from various iterations of the Scooby-Doo franchise and bringing them into this universe.

Many of the monsters and supernatural threats will be pulled from previous iterations.

From the cartoons, the comics, the video games, and the movie.

They'll also be plenty of characters pulled from previous iterations as well.

The Hex Girls, Scooby-Dum, Sheriff Stone, Dr. Phineus Phibes, Ben Ravencroft, Crystal and Amber, the parents of the Gang from both A Pup Named Scooby-Doo and Mystery Incorporated, and of course.....

As for the world of this series, it'll be a retro-futuristic version of our own.

Basically imagine the future from Futurama and you've basically got the world of Mystic Mayhem.

This is not only because the cast of Jabberjaw are gonna be featured, and in the original series, they do come from the year 2076, but it's also because this will feature the appearances of various Hanna-Barbera characters, who all exist in this world together.

These would include the likes of The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, Augie and Doggie Daddy, Top Cat, Quick Draw McGraw, Wally Gator, Snooper and Blabber, Secret Squirrel, Tom and Jerry, Jeannie and Babu, Space Ghost, Shazzan, Frankenstein Jr., Mightor, The Banana Splits, Birdman, Hong Kong Phooey, and as Lord Farquaad would say....

"And so on and so forth...."

They'll also be appears from various DC characters like Batman (obviously) and The Teen Titans.

Cartoon Network will even get into the mix with appearances from Dexter, Cow and Chicken, The Powerpuff Girls, The Eds, Billy and Mandy, Ben Tennyson, and of course....

Wave four post hiatus

Truant Wave (2011)

New one! This one is all tans and browns with a highlight of lime green. I kept this with all brown, tan, and white except for a few spots. The quarters have a tan gingham to keep a simple background I can paint the green geometric shape from the album art on. The eye stays have a lime green alien print to add a pop of color and pattern. I intend to replace the laces to make them lime green, and also in lime paint the PS initial logo on the heels. It says to paint the limited track list across the four side stripes but I probably wouldn’t do so when making the actual shoes, for I fear it would be too busy. Two lace charms, one for each shoe, a silver hand mirror to represent vanity (Porcelain, Cute Girls) and a stack of money to represent greed (As Long As I Know I’m Getting Paid, Love, Selfish Love)

Soul Punk (2011)

Soul Punk doesn’t change a ton. Pictured is a better paint design for the geometric graphic that will go on the quarters. It won’t include the words as pictured, it’s just there to show the dimension with three different colors, like the Truant Wave shape. A Soul Punk logo will be embroidered onto one heel. It will actually have to be embroidered since the heels are glitter- no painting over that, so I’m doing it only for one. If I can sew teddy fabric over the tongues on the Folies I can embroider one heel. Lace charms: one will get a silver cursive P and the other a matching S. The S shoe will also get a silver devil charm, simple, like the emoji, representative of the “sins” expressed within the album. (Adultery, Excessive Drinking, Greed, Sex, Vanity, Spite, etc.)

Save Rock and Roll (2013)

First, I’d replace the laces to be a beige/light tan to pull the tan tones from the album art. One shoe would get a silver rock and roll hand sign lace charm (self explanatory) and the other would get a pin of a lit match (matches the quarters while calling back the fiery spirit of a previous design without deviating from the color scheme). The toe of one shoe would get a grayscale patch of a falcon. This calls back to the Youngblood Chronicles music video for the Phoenix, as well as harkens to the album’s spirit of freedom. The opposite toe will have the anti-music symbol from the YBC and “YBC” (self explanatory).

Pax Am Days (2013)

Pax Ams my beloved. Simple add ons to a simple design. On the heels of each shoe I’ll add the symbol pictured from the Youngblood Chronicles and on the tread of each shoe where there isn’t checkerboard I’ll write “Pax Am Days” in the Pax Am font pictured on the album. One shoe will feature a silver and black barbed wire pin.

American Beauty American Psycho (2015)

Also very simple customizations! Replace laces with a glittery light gold as pictured. One shoe will have the gold and blue firework pin as pictured. On the heels of each shoe will be embroidered “beauty” and “psycho” (which Vans can do for me if I pay extra)

M A N I A (2018)

Lace charms lace charms lace charms. One shoe will have the simple silver tile with a wave. The other will have the Rx symbol in silver (mania) and a purple heart. On the tread of both I’ll paint out “mania” with the correct spacing between letters (see above). I’ll also replicate the font pictured on the album. On one heel I’ll sew on a black FOB mania-era wave triangle patch. On the other I’ll paint the lyric “last blues we’re ever gonna have” from Bishop’s Knife Trick.

Llamania (2018)

New again! And I knew this one had to look insane without looking like a mess, so, hence patterns upon patterns. Llamania by “frosty and the nightmare making machine” vibe wise is sort of Mania’s even more mentally ill evil twin. It’s also unfinished scrapped songs from Mania, so my concept buzzword here was: scattered. We’re talking incomplete thoughts, harebrained, got a couple screws loose but in a really interesting way. The primary colors on both the album art and the shoe are purple and black, solidifying it’s presence as the darker twin to Mania. If Mania pictures the scary highs, Llamania pictures the scary lows. One shoe will have a silver llama charm, self explanatory. For the laces I chose a simple print, black and white polka dots, but alternating colors. This print is a Vans original. For the heels I want them black with a repeating, layered question mark print as pictured. Then for the quarters, I decided to keep them purple and have a repeating realistic eye pattern. Over top of the eyes I’m going to layer a glitch effect in shades of blues and purples.

Lake Effect Kid (2018)

I love this design. It’s probably my third favorite overall. Not adding terribly much here, one shoe will get a silver lace charm of Illinois with a heart in the middle. One toe will get the classic Fall Out Boy symbol patch and the other will get the lyric “I love you Chicago” from City in a Garden. Best part overall, possibly my favorite aspect of the entire design, chunky hot pink yarn laces. Reflecting the yarn tears of the boy on the album.

Believers Never Die: Volume Two

This says I’ll get each shoe black FOB lace locks but I’m unsure if I want to keep that idea. Other than that, the featured lace charms are a silver skeleton (self explanatory) and an ice cream cone. The ice cream lines up with several merch releases and promotional advertising in line with Dear Future Self and the Believers two ad campaign of stretching out summer. The old Folie era Fresh Only Bakery truck was repainted as a Dear Future Self ice cream truck where they (similarly to the Folie donut truck) handed out custom tshirts. Melting ice cream was featured on those shirts, on the single album art for DFS, and in the DFS music video. The custom shirts mention their goal to “stretch summer into fall”. Pete also appeared for a photo opt on the Stranger Things 3 Scoops Ahoy ice cream parlor set. There were also yellow DFS tshirts picturing melted ice cream released at Hot Topic. The attached design photo also says painted on the tongue but I think it means the toe because the tongue is obstructed by laces. Anyway, on one shoe it’ll have “drunk on cheap whiskey in an airport hotel” from Dear Future Self. The other shoe will have “no one ever thinks of you as much as I do” from Bob Dylan. Alternatively, these quotes could be moved to the heels. They’re a little wordy for the heels which was probably my original concern but I think they’ll look cleaner there, so I’ll either change the quotes to condense them or paint small!
