CRITICAL ROLE: BELL'S HELLS (2021–) ENNEAGRAM TYPES ★
Imogen – Type 6(w5): The Guardian
Sixes are hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy. They foresee problems and foster cooperation, but can also become anxious, defensive, and evasive. They can be cautious and indecisive, but also defiant, reactive, and rebellious. They typically have problems with self-doubt and suspicion. Sixes are the most loyal to their family and friends. They will hang on to relationships of all kinds far longer than most other types. Sixes are also loyal to beliefs, ideas, and systems – even to the belief that all authorities should be questioned or defied. Enneagram 6w5s are very loyal people who value clarity and honesty. They love to be surrounded by good people, and they appreciate having supportive and trusting relationships that can be their safe space.

Part One || The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes Enneagram
Sejanus Plinth
Type One || 1w2 || 146
Tumblr media
Type One:
Sejanus is motivated by his desire for Goodness, in the moral sense. His ethical integrity is at the forefront of his personality, and is the be all and end all of all his decisions and relationships.
Ones are highly principled and decisive when dealing with moral quandaries, and they seek out a sense of purpose
Sejanus resents his father, his classmates, and the Capitol on the whole for decisions that are at odds with his own ideals, and refuses to let that go unnoticed; at all times, the most important thing for him is to stand up for what he believes is right and just.
Type Four:
Fours tend towards melancholia. They can be explosive and sensitive, especially when circumstances challenge their sense of identity.
Sejanus has a habit of self-pity, however justified it might be, and wears his emotions blatantly on his sleeve. He is not precious about being seen as flawed, but is absolute about being authentic and true to himself (and his ideals).
Type Six
Sejanus is committed to both his goals and his friends - right to the bitter end. He will only momentarily stray from his stubbornly held beliefs when cornered by Coriolanus, his closest, and perhaps only, friend.
He desires material and emotional security for himself and his loved ones, and we only see him falter when their safety and his own is compromised - when his actions backfire and he comes face to face with the chaos in his wake.
Thanks for reading! I intend on making more of these as the mood strikes me - particularly Coriolanus and Lucy Gray, and I might try my hand at the main trilogy too (as soon as I finish my reread)!
These posts solely reflect my personal interpretation of these characters based on both the books and the films, if you would type them differently, I’d love to hear your perspective!
I used the Enneagram Institute webpage for type descriptions to make my initial decisions for this post, so for more information on Enneagram types in general, I can recommend their site!

The Enneagram 6 Subtypes Showcased by Characters in Attack on Titan
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Armin Arlert: Self-preservation Six
This subtype is warm and friendly. They disguise their fear by being soft and kind, and not aggressive. They feel fear as separation anxiety and try to attract strong protectors and allies to feel more protected. They are actively fearful and often “phobic,” running away from danger (flight, not fight). They experience the most doubt and uncertainty, and trust others more than themselves. They are the most fearful of being angry, and they hesitate the most and ask the most questions. But they don’t answer any.
Eren Yeager: Sexual Six
Sexual Sixes express fear by going against fear—by becoming strong and intimidating. Trusting themselves more than others, these Sixes have the inner programming that when you are afraid, the best defense is a good offense. They take on a powerful stance, both in what they do and how they look, as a way of holding the enemy at a distance. Their anxiety is allayed through skill and readiness in the face of an attack.
Mikasa Ackerman: Social Six
This subtype copes with fear by finding a good authority. They think the way to be safe is to follow the rules of their chosen authority, whether a person, a system, or an ideology. They tend to be dutiful, legalistic, intellectual, responsible, and efficient, and they rely on following guidelines or reference points to feel secure. For them, uncertainty and ambiguity equal anxiety. They display a mixture of “phobic” (fearful) and “counterphobic” (confronting fear with strength) behaviors. They see the world in terms of black and white, rather than gray.

Type six and type nine interacting long term (friends, partners, siblings, etc.) is so fascinating to me cause you look at nines, and they’re afraid of loss as a concept. Sixes, however, are afraid of losing, of having what they love taken from them. As a result, stressed nines cling so they won’t suffer the loss of that person, and stressed sixes push away so they can’t lose that person. When put in a position where the relationship is under strain, the nine and the six have the same fear, but if they follow their instinctive stress responses, the loss becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Do you have a hc for the enneagram and mbti type of Lisa Crowne from Daisy Jones and the six. I know she doesn't have one, but what do you think she is based off of her limited screen time?
Hi there, sweetie! I really hope you like this a lot!
Lisa Crowne's MBTI Type, Big Three and Enneagram Type
Tumblr media
MBTI Type: ISFP [The Adventurer]
ISFP types need plenty of personal space. Though they enjoy building connections with people, they need alone time to think and recharge.
They are very observant, especially focusing on the details more than the overall view. They live in the present and tend to base decisions on what they can see right now.
Adventurers also prioritize emotion when making decisions. They prefer to follow what feels right.
They don’t like schedules, but instead prefer to keep their options open. They are adaptable, spontaneous, and like to challenge the need for strict rules.
Big Three: Pisces Sun, Virgo Moon and Aquarius Rising
Pisces Sun: The planetary ruler for Pisces is Jupiter and Neptune, which gives Pisces Suns a sentimental, intuitive, imaginative, and dreamy nature.
Virgo Moon: Virgo Moons use their calm nature to gain deep clarity on matters, filtering questions through their kind, but reasonable, lens.
Aquarius Rising: This rising sign can speak lucidly on a number of topics, using their lofty knowledge to charm crowds and solve problems alike.
Enneagram Type: 6w7 [The Confidant]
Basic Fear: Six wing sevens’ fear losing their support system. This may be expressed through self-deprecating humor, in which they seek affirmation and assurance from other people.
Basic Desire: Their basic desire is to feel safe and supported. They show this by being loving and supportive to others. They honor their commitments and are very loyal to their friends.
Like other sixes, Confidants defend themselves by projecting their feelings, which may lead them to misunderstanding themselves and their relationships.

The Enneagram Types at a Pool Party
Type One: Probably laying out with big sunglasses on talking about how they could have decorated the pool better than the host did.
Type Two: Definitely made snack trays and brought them, giving everyone juice boxes, etc. They are also taking a LOT of pictures and talking their friends’ ears off. Type Three: Almost definitely the host of the pool party. Spends a lot of the time laying out; talks a lot about how much they spent on the pool, how beautiful it is, etc.
Type Four: Pretending they are in a movie while they lay out and stare off into the distance, occasionally dipping their feet into the pool. Type Five: Either stayed inside or, if they do decide to come outside, they are sitting in the shade on their computer or reading a book. Type Six: Making sure everyone has sunscreen on. Definitely had a checklist and is freaking out if they forgot to bring something.
Type Seven: Jumping off the diving board, going down the slide, doing flips, literally just acting like little pool heathens the entire time they are there. Little wild people. Type Eight: They might be laying out and are the person to yell at you if you tip their float. Has shoved at least three people into the pool. 50/50 chance they jump into the pool like the seven has been. Type Nine: Probably was laying out in a chair and fell asleep, they are absolutely getting sunburnt as shit and they know it, they don’t care they are just tired.

The Fascinating Difference Between Enneagram 8w7 and 8w9 (from an 8w9 who knows too many 8w7s)
Generally speaking, 8w7s tend to be more open than 8w9s, in the sense that they are less likely to care about the words they say to people, and more likely to be spontaneous or impulsive. 8w9s tend to be quieter, and pursue a level of comfort in adventure that is more associated with freedom than strength.
Both have the same core desire for freedom and the core fear of being controlled, leading to a need to project an image of strength. However, in my experience, these two types define strength differently.
The 8w7s I’ve met typically assert themselves by telling everyone how strong they are and how little they care about what people think of them, and this is so others become intimidated by them and don’t try to control them. They are the typically portrayed 8s, displaying their strength by being purposefully unpredictable, breaking rules just because they can, challenging the norms, both out of distrust of said norms and a desire to make people think they are uncontrollable and not to be messed with. Ironically, they do care what others think of them, but are terrified of that fact, because many of them associate caring with “weakness”.
I always associate 8w9s with a quote from Kaz Brekker: “You’re not weak because you can’t read. You’re weak because you’re afraid of people seeing your weakness.” (May not be the exact wording) 8w9s show more “weaker” emotions than 8w7s. They are willing to express sadness and fear, because they believe recognizing those emotions is the key to true strength. 8w9s pride themselves on their determination, and being able to persevere through a difficult situation or argument without having angry meltdowns. An 8w9 may be rebellious and unpredictable, but they’ll give reasons for being that way, to essentially prove that their way is the right way, without hurting someone else’s feelings. They recognize that they care what other people think, because caring is their version of strength.
In summary, 8w9s are more level headed on the outside, while 8w7s are more headstrong, because 8w9s associate caring with strength, and 8w7s associate not caring with strength

In other words, don’t seek to avoid, disassemble, or transmute [anxiety]…just notice it. Be with it. Offer it a seat at the table because, truthfully, the table Sixes sit at is capacious enough to hold all that they feel, think, and intuit.

im enjoying your character studies a lot! i was wondering what your references were for them?
i study many forms of personality analysis such as mbti, enneagram, tritype, and just any thing you can find on personality database and i was excited to see that your information was correct but you added other things i’ve never seen before that i would like to learn about.
sorry if this is troublesome so don’t bother if you’re not in the mood. again, i appreciate your character study’s accuracy so mad respect to you! ♥️
Thank you! I’m so pumped that you’re liking what you see!
You’ve mentioned the MBTI, the Enneagram (+ tritype!), but I’ll just go ahead and run through all the different tests I use, even the super-common ones I’m sure you’ve heard before — the MBTI, the Enneagram, Hogwarts House, Four Seasons, Five Elements, the Four Temperaments, the Moral Alignments, the Seven Roles, and the Four Colors (which I have apparently lost the link to, but here is the Hartman Personality Profile, which assigns different personalities for the colors than the one I use, but still provides a fairly good example).
Thank you!! I’m really stoked to hear you think my choices are accurate, because there’s typically a lot of Anguish and Agony behind the scenes whenever I have to pick out the personality types, and there’s never a moment where I don’t wonder whether I’ve selected the wrong one — but ultimately, these characters are very open to personal interpretation, so I’ve just got to go with the traits and behaviors I’ve picked up from canon, and do my best from there. Besides, disagreements usually lead to awesome discussions with others where I can get fresh perspectives (like when @twigstarpikachutroll22 gave me some major food for thought in regards to Branch’s Hogwarts House! never considered him for Hufflepuff before, but it’s actually a really good fit!).
I hope this helps you!!
