Collage of enneagram characters I made for an amino post.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Edit: Replaced Chiaki with Napstablook. She’s an obvious 5 that I typed wrong.
Edit 2: Rarity is likely a 2w1, my apologies. Sera might be E6, I saw a good argument for her. I’ll make a part 3 going into subtypes.

Healthy/Unhealthy Type 1
Healthy Social 1
Tumblr media
Rob Stark (1w9 so/sx)- In the search for a more fair and just Westeros. Maintains his anger in check and looks for morality in grounded and in bringing others up.
Kitana (1w2 so/sp)- Depending on which timeline we are on we can see how she embodies the idealism of E1. In MK11 we see her in the search to unite outworld and restore honor to Edenia. In her arcade ending we see her restoring Edenia and forging a bright and fair future for outworld.
Nakia (1w2 so/sp)- She subverts all of the stereotypes of E1. The enneagram 1 is known for their more “traditional” and restrictive views of moral however with Nakia we see a. fully integrated 1 to their 7. Her view of the world comes from a need to find joy and help others.
Unhealthy Social 1
Tumblr media
Betty Warren (1w2 so/sx)- The need to maintain a status quo were her and others suffer due to what's moral and right seems to be her core desire in the movie. She changes eventually and decides to pursue a career where she can channel her rage into productive actions.
Abuela Madrigal (1w2 so/sp)- While I understand fully why she is the way she is, her continuing the generational cycle of trauma instead of deciding to talk about the past leads her to stifling others. Neglecting Maribel and banishing Bruno. Her eventual change in the end promises a better future for everyone in the family.
Zaheer (1w9 so/sp)-In search for full liberation of the nation he ends up indulging in full anarchism. His desire to see the world as free and just sets him on a path of destruction. Probably the best example of an E1 who has fully disintegrated into 4. Fully detached from a grounded sense of morality.
Healthy Self-Preservation 1
Tumblr media
Elijah Mikaelson (1w9 sp/so)- His desire to preserve his own sense of morality always comes into question when it comes to Klaus. The desire to see a fully redeemed Klaus can cause him allot of problems however, he always is just in his decision making always looking for the best results for everyone.
Nancy Thompson (1w2 sp/so)- While I consider typing her as an SO6 too her desire seems to fall more on E1. She has a strong sense of morality and justice. Always in the look to help other whiteout letting her own sense of self righteousness get in the way.
Matt Murdock (1w9 sp/so)- Yes, he has a whole struggle with his sense of morality and defines good and bad however, Matt is generally a great example of an Sp1 who struggles with his idealism or perfection and morality and its realistic applications in the real world.
Unhealthy Self-Preservation 1
Tumblr media
Shirley Crain (1w2 sp/so)- Branded as “Perfect Shirley” for good reason.  Shirley is complete denial of reality and constantly repressing her true emotions makes her act as morally superior than her siblings. While not deciding to deal with her inner turmoil.
Julien Slowik (1w9 sp/so)-Full detachment of reality and embraces the worst traits of the sp1. He choses to make his own personal believes others problems and internalizes his rage. Eventually channeling it into self destruction.
Nina Sawyer (1w9 sp/so)-Her struggle to integrate towards 7 turns into a full downward spiral were identity and her perception of reality go out the window. Her need to be both the black swan and white swan end up tearing her sense of self apart.
Healthy Sexual 1
Tumblr media
Biscuit Krueger (1w2 sx/so)-Perfection through interpersonal connections seems to be her main drive. When she becomes Killua’s and Gon’s mentor she help them expand on their already developed powers. Using the base knowledge of their abilities so each of them could expand on them.
Batman (1w9 sx/sp)-His struggle to define himself as a symbol for Gotham can be seen as unhealthy sometimes. However I believe he is closer to a healthy person with his own personal struggles. However as time goes on in the comics we see a Bruce who is able to foster community and have excellent children.
Kate Sheffield (1w2 sx/so)- Strong sense of morality and a desire to see things change makes Kate a force to be reckoned with. She is able to express her anger and discomforts in ways that aren't damaging or hurtful to others.
Unhealthy Sexual 1
Tumblr media
Ra’s Al ghul (1w9 sx/so)-In look for a true successor he ends up exploiting both his  daughter and grandchild. His believe that there is a need for the league of assassins to make the world better place is also kind of disjointed.
Mona Wasserman (1w2 sx/sp)- I considered typing her as an SX2 however I believe her need to maintain Bo near her and constantly demean her fell more into SX1 traits. She is the good guy in the relationship and her overbearing nature is but a need. Even contracting the only person who he has had an emotional connection with.
Tywin Lannister (1w9 sx/sp)- Perfection through his children makes him hyper obsessive man who will deny reality and neglect those same children emotionally if it means it's what's “better” for them. His cruelty towards Tyrion knew no bounds.

4 and 6: Both Envy types
Tumblr media
This is a symbol from Sufi enneagram, which far predates Naranjo enneagram. It shows that 6 is the Envy type, NOT 4. However, later enneagram removed Envy from the 6 personality and attributed all Envy in the human psyche to 4. This should explain why so many 6s mistype as 4s.
In this post I will explain how 4s and 6s differently experience Envy. 4s experience Envy just as all types do, but a whole psychological complex based around Envy is 6, not 4.
----
4s are envious of people from a position of competing for attention. If they feel they have worked extremely hard to project a meaningful image of themselves and their story, and then you strut in and you appear to be more worthy of attention from their desired people than them... the 4 can become very insecure and envious of you. They will usually react by trying to peacock flamboyantly, trying to prove they are better, more worthy of attention than you, in their personal way (4 -> 2 response, displaying immense Pride in their image or ideal that they want to be recognized for, displaying how much more special, more worthy of attention they and their vision / story are).
6s are envious of people because they suppress so many of their desired behaviors and their very Faith in themselves, due to fear. They are always comparing themselves to others due to Doubting their own intuitions about what to embody. Doubt makes 6s lack Faith in their own abilities and intuitions and feel hopelessly incompetent. When they see people who don't suppress themselves as much, people who appear to have Faith in themselves and behave with the boldness the 6 secretly wants to embody, and most of all, people who are competent in the way the 6 wants to be competent, they can feel very envious and frustrated. Sometimes this Envy can manifest as hero-worship and trying to copy you as if you are an ideal set for them on TV, secretly hoping they will eventually surpass you. Sometimes Envy manifests as the 6 directly competing with you (both are 6 -> 3 responses).
-----
Since 4 and 6 both disintegrate into an Image type that is competitive for attention, they get confused a lot. The way to distinguish between 4 and 6, is to distinguish between 2 and 3.
6 is disintegrating into a Competency, Attachment image type (3). 4 is disintegrating into an Optimist, Rejection image type (2).

Enneatype 1 summarised!!
Core type- Passion: anger. E1s are constantly searching for faults in everything, they stay angry and resentful to those flaws, and so themselves or other people. Fixation: resentment. They pay so much attention to finding flaws in everything, leading to nothing ever seeming like enough. Trap: perfection. They aggressively demand themselves, people and objects to perfection. They’re often highly critical of their surroundings and accomplishments. Defence mechanism: reaction formation. Reaction formation means to feel one way, but act according to the opposite. To keep their self image of being right, e1s deny these emotions to keep this up.  Virtue: serenity. Serenity overcomes their anger once they realise that their essence is perfect, and more important than external perfection they seek.  Key traits: Inner critic, over control, virtuousness, perfectionism and criticality.
Subtypes-  Self preservation [sp]: The sp1 is characterised as being worried a lot. They most likely grew up in a chaotic environment and try to compensate for it to make themselves as organised and perfect as they can. Out of each subtype they use the defence mechanism the most, due to their perfection being largely self focused.  Sexual [sx]: The sx1 tries to put themselves up more as a model of the perfect person other people should admire and strive to be like. They’re often stereotyped as the more angry subtype, often being invasive especially in things and people that aren't to their standard. Social [so]: The so1 can be described as a stereotypical school teacher. They feel as though they must teach others perfection. Similar to the sx1, but so1s are more helping type people than model people. They actively go out of their way to help those who don't conform to their standard, but can get impatient when things don't go their way
Contradictions-  INTP, ISTP, ISFP, INFP, ENTP, ENFP, ESFP, ESTP Due to the usage of the introverted judgement, these types are incompatible with e1. Being highly critical and aware of their thoughts, suppressing them to fit what is perfect in their eyes is what causes this. Ji dominance is highly subjective and focused on the inward information, while e1 wants concrete and objective perfection and achievement. Their anger, objectivity and need for control can make them look very similar to e8. Types you might want to look into if you are on this list are e3, e4, e5, e6 and e8.
Compatible types- Self preservation: INTJ, ISTJ, INFJ, ISFJ, ENTJ, ESTJ Sexual: ENTJ, ESTJ Social: ENTJ, ESTJ, ENFJ, ESFJ

Part One || The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes Enneagram
Sejanus Plinth
Type One || 1w2 || 146
Tumblr media
Type One:
Sejanus is motivated by his desire for Goodness, in the moral sense. His ethical integrity is at the forefront of his personality, and is the be all and end all of all his decisions and relationships.
Ones are highly principled and decisive when dealing with moral quandaries, and they seek out a sense of purpose
Sejanus resents his father, his classmates, and the Capitol on the whole for decisions that are at odds with his own ideals, and refuses to let that go unnoticed; at all times, the most important thing for him is to stand up for what he believes is right and just.
Type Four:
Fours tend towards melancholia. They can be explosive and sensitive, especially when circumstances challenge their sense of identity.
Sejanus has a habit of self-pity, however justified it might be, and wears his emotions blatantly on his sleeve. He is not precious about being seen as flawed, but is absolute about being authentic and true to himself (and his ideals).
Type Six
Sejanus is committed to both his goals and his friends - right to the bitter end. He will only momentarily stray from his stubbornly held beliefs when cornered by Coriolanus, his closest, and perhaps only, friend.
He desires material and emotional security for himself and his loved ones, and we only see him falter when their safety and his own is compromised - when his actions backfire and he comes face to face with the chaos in his wake.
Thanks for reading! I intend on making more of these as the mood strikes me - particularly Coriolanus and Lucy Gray, and I might try my hand at the main trilogy too (as soon as I finish my reread)!
These posts solely reflect my personal interpretation of these characters based on both the books and the films, if you would type them differently, I’d love to hear your perspective!
I used the Enneagram Institute webpage for type descriptions to make my initial decisions for this post, so for more information on Enneagram types in general, I can recommend their site!

It doesn’t matter if it’s actually you’re enneagram type, if it’s what you feel like right now, then it’s what your pain point is, and you should work through it. If you’re still that type after, great, if you’re not, now you’re healthier and can keep looking.

Little Women: Marmee March [ENFJ 1w2]
MBTI Type: ENFJ Marmie has a gentle way of correcting her children, but also tends to nudge them toward the direction she wants them to go – gently moralizing at them when they step out of line. She’s appropriate with Aunt March, tolerant of her opinions, and willing to allow each of her children to mature at their own pace. She takes each situation as a chance to teach a moral lesson of some…

The Enneagram of Divine Forms — Point 1: The Perfectionist
Ego-fixation developed in childhood by the influence of a mother who appeared to the child as a rigid, distant, cold, and unloving person, and who seemed to constantly observe all defects — real and apparent — in the child and the child's behavior
Deep feeling of actually lacking perfection
Fixated idea of not being perfect enough
Profound self-righteousness based on preconceived patterns of perfection
Characteristic punctiliousness, meticulousness and fastidious behavior
Obsessed with obtaining perfection in every area of their life, as well as in their personal behavior and being
General existential attitudes of sadness and depression, a ‘broken heart’
Resentful about the lack of perfection in others, but even more in themselves
Feel themselves as being unloved
Attitude of resentment against the world and themselves
Passion of anger: they will thrill themselves by producing in their imagination angry scenes and violent confrontations
Callous on one side and touchy on the other
Isolation: their primary defense mechanism, when a feeling or situation is unacceptable, perfectionists defend or distance themselves from psychic distress by isolating themselves from it (by being cold and unloving, especially to those who provoked their anger)
Assert to themselves: ‘I am responsive and adaptive’
Sense of being resented by others and themselves
Ego-reaction: weakness, regardless of their imagined reckless confrontations
Ego-justification: stubbornness
Extreme sense of imperfection
Depression in finding themselves unlovable and isolated
Objective on one side and judgemental on the other

I have no fucking idea what my enneagram is. At first I was SURE I was a 3w4, then a 1w2, then a 3w2, then a 6w7, then a 1w2 again, and now I'm like a 4w3?? The fuck? At first e4 was one of the types I related to the least. What is happening.

The enneagram with another number in the bracket is the one that is more likely to be more emotional than the other wing. Don't take this seriously please
