So many posts on aita are just like "aita for inviting my vegan friend to a meat and cheese party and not providing any vegan options for them even though a month ago they had a party where there was only vegan food there and they didn't have any meat or cheese for ME which basically means they wanted me to STARVE"

Where it's like yeah your vegan friend probably should have seen it was a meat and cheese party and brought their own food but also it seems like you feel personally victimized by a vegan daring to be vegan around you which I feel like we should unpack just a bit idk

i don’t know why so many domestic fantasies are equated with submission… if i’m baking cookies for a butch and he comes up behind me, wrapping his arms around me and pressing his packer against my ass, it’s my god-given right to pin him to the kitchen floor and ride him until he’s begging for mercy

hey anon

had to google what a headmate was not going to lie. If you are referring to "An alternate personality in someone with dissociative identity disorder" then that is certainly difficult!! But, being vegan is about doing the best that you possibly can! I don't know a lot about DID, just random facts so I am not much help but I think if you could talk to them or leave letters/notes for them about how important veganism is to you that's a start? Let them know how it bothers you/hurts you when they eat meat but you understand that they feel they have to. Just do your best and eat vegan when you possibly can! I would suggest getting a good therapist and talking to them about this too because if veganism is important to you, there must be some way to talk to your headmates about this. Sorry if I am not much help, this is a very interesting question though anon and I appreciate the ask.

veganism discourse on this site drives me fucking nuts, people are so incredibly willing to uncritically believe anything that justifies consuming animal products. I saw someone in the notes in one of these posts go "ugh I cant believe vegans say that in the dairy industry male calves get slaughtered. That's not true for small family farms!" Like okay?? Does the dairy industry mainly consist of small family farms then??
