B.C. Rich is the brand of Eddie’s Guitar. The model he owns is a “warlock”. The very one who made the brand popular in the heavy metal scene. In DnD, Warlock just so happens to be a character class. Besides spell-casting, a warlock usually has charisma maxed out… which is also the case for Eddie’s preferred class during campaigns: Bard. That symbolism foreshadowed Eddie’s arc and evolution as a person in such an awesome way and let me tell you why. A Bard tends to impress, challenge and inflict damage by speech (much like Eddie IRL), but will often run away from the fight when it becomes too much. A warlock, on the other hand, as a small set of spells (unlike wizards who have plenty; aka “The Dark Wizard” Vecna so called by Dustin), but very powerful.

Eddie going symbolically from Bard (running away when confronted to difficult events) to Warlock in the end, means he outgrows his previous class and self. Despite not being able to do much, his guitar solo, his spell, will be powerful enough to help his friends and avenge Chrissy’s death.

Also, the Warlock class didn’t exist until the years 2000’ in DnD, meaning that Eddie —canonically— would be the first warlock ever, without even knowing. If this isn’t metal, I don’t know what is.

He of course would apologize later by making jokes and trying to lighten the mood. He of course has a hard time directly apologizing but always does something to make up for it

Does like to be in the woods with you for a little romantic time

The drugs. Omg the drugs are an issue, he swears he only sells to make some cash but you both know he wouldn’t sell if he didn’t know what exactly he was selling

The daddy issues show. He try’s so hard not to be like his dad that parts slip through the cracks

Emotional little man, yes. Is this demonstrated healthily in a cute way, no. He has little emotional outburst instead.

He is a huge romantic. In his own little way of course. He’d learn a non metal guitar riff just for you

Or secretly like some non metal song you enjoy

Would not make the first move

He’d flirt. Oh he’d flirt, but once he got you to go back to his place, or hang out at all in general he wouldn’t know what to do. He never expected to make it half this far.

So you’d go in for the first kiss, and ultimately you’d be the one to ask him out

He hates morning time.

Only Owns like 4 pairs of jeans. All black

His favorite animal is a duck...but he'd never admit it

He always brings Snacks to hellfire

Suprisingly clean and hygienic

Hates reading. He finds it very boring

loves hugs

His favorite thing to eat at lunch is Toast

He walks very cutely. Like a little waddle

Has little secret dance parties by himself in his room, blasting music and dancing while Wayne is out

Actually a good cook

Loves home made things

Really likes the sound of other languages like Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic. Ones you don't hear often

Has never been on vacation

Deep down misses his father

Loves going to the lake and sitting there. Smoking a joint, looking out onto the lake, just by himself

His legs slightly point inwards when he walks

He really likes hellfire club, it's one of his greatest accomplishments

When he doesn't find conversations interesting, he just walks away. But he always just says "sorry, i'm not interested in this"

Here’s some sketches from my stranger things dnd au from last year(not like anyone’s done that before).

I left some explanations under the cut…

So Steve is a high elf eldritch knight fighter/ paladin. Eddie is a black dragonborn valor bard. Robin is a half gnome illusionist wizard/ bard. Chrissy is a fairy bard. Erica is a half wood elf thief rogue. Dustin is a stout halfling lore bard/ battle smith artificer. Hopper is a half orc path of the warchief barbarian. El is a bloodline of levistus tiefling aberrant mind sorcerer. Max is a fire genasi speedster rogue/ fighter. Lucas is a half wood elf hunter ranger. I also have races and classes (and spells and character sheets) set up for characters not in these drawings too.

I have a lot of ideas of how the world would work. It’s more of a stranger things except it takes place in dnd kind of au. I tried to set up a lot of characters with that in mind. I thought through everything for quite a while and I’m pretty proud of it.
