Once my friend told me that he felt Christian imposter syndrome sometimes because he had never had a big, life altering encounter with God. But we encounter God everywhere. It's in the way you let me sit on your couch and ramble about a breakup when we barely knew each other. It's in sunshine. Laughter. The faces of my friends who have never set foot in a church. It's in all the people who have shown me grace and mercy when I wholly didn't deserve it. It's the ache you've been trying to explain. It's the way that birds just know when to push their babies out of the nest. The way that I have found myself back in church even though no one would blame me if I hadn't. The way that we, creatures from a miniscule part of the universe, not only wanted to, but taught ourselves how to look into deep space. The sound of water flowing along a creek. It's the rhythm of the ocean, beating since before our species existed. You can go your whole life without having a big, come-to-jesus, altar call moment when you were "saved," and that's ok. Your faith doesn't have to run on adrenaline highs and intensity. God's in the still small voice. All the little miracles around you.

It's weird how going on walks is so refreshing for other people.. and it's something that makes me tired af. Every time i go for walks i get so tired, and that tiredness can last for the whole day.

When my family goes for walks they feel "refreshed and more awake" as they say. However i just get tired and feel like laying in my bed for hours upon hours. So when i actually go for walks, i mostly do it in the afternoon.

What about you? does going for walks mak you tired as well or is it just me?

My dog is fascinated by death this time of year

I cant even get her to chase a deer

Her snout digs into the snow down into the dark

She rolls in the remnants of creatures passed like shes trying to feel the last of their spark

To carry their scent around as a reminder of life

But to me she walks through the woods like deaths wife

When I tell you I was so hyped when I realized they were putting more sidewalk in our neighborhood!

They only put it on one side of the "main" road but it makes walks so much easier!!!

My partner told me last night while we were in bed that I'm getting hotter every day, and he doesn't know how that's even possible because I'm "so hot already"...

And honestly, yes, please! 🥺 That's the kind of energy I need in my life.

At the basketball hoop again, and there were two ravens sitting under it as we were walking up. Tried to get a pic, but my daughter didn't hear me and kept walking, so they flew away😅
