ENHYPEN REACTION

enha ‘s partner being upset over a test

HEESUNG!

quite alarmed when he hears a light sob in the other room whilst he washes his face in the bathroom. quick to pat his face dry before he scurried into your shared bedroom, eyes wide as he looks at you with your head in your hands, crying into them. “honey.. what’s the matter?” he’d ask quietly. his hands rest themselves on your shaking shoulders when you begin to babble about all the stress your exams are causing you and how scared you are of failing. heesung would frown at this and pull your chair out slightly so you face him. “yn love, you shouldn’t be this stressed over an exam. you know you’re intelligent, you’ll pass this easy anyway! don’t be so hard on yourself.” he’d murmur gently, his hand in yours.

JONGSEONG!

if there’s one thing jay can’t stand, it’s seeing you upset. the minute he steps through the door coming home from work, and the house is oddly silent — considering you’d be home too by now — he knows something is up. he makes his way up the stairs and into your bedroom where he sees you curled into a ball, your cheeks wet with tears. his heart tears into little pieces. you don’t notice him walking up to you at first, an upset frown on his face, it’s not until he crouches down in front of you, taking your hand in his, he asks what happened. you explain that you failed a test you studied really hard for, and that he too knows you studied hard for. jay isn’t sure what to say, he thought you’d ace the test. so he peels out of his jacket, crawling beside you in the bed as he wraps his arms tight around you, until you drift to sleep.

JAKE!

jake can read you like the back of his hand, so the second you step through the door - your shoulders slump and eyes heavy and dull, it’s obvious to him that something’s wrong. whatever his attention was on beforehand, it’s immediately dropped and he’s rushing over to you with open arms. the way you crash into them says enough for him and his hands run up and down your back, “hi sweetheart, what’s wrong?” he’d ask, a soft tone to his voice. you’d mumble into his chest something about how you think you did absolutely awful in your exam whilst everyone else seemed to of done fine. your self-doubt would upset him deeply and he’d pull away slightly to cup your face in his hands. “hey, don’t think like that! i’m sure you did way more than okay, you should give yourself more credit — you’ve got a smart lil brain!” he would reassure you, a hand threading through your hair.

SUNGHOON!

freezes a lil when he walks into the room n’ sees you crying and sniffling in your bed. his heart aches just at the sight and he’d approach you with a tiny frown on his face. the bed dips slightly and you turn to see sunghoon, eyebrows furrowed as he asks you what’s wrong. you try to wipe your tears, but they keep falling anyway, and you explain how you froze up in your test earlier and messed up everything. sunghoon would ease at your words and a tiny giggle would leave his lips, which would make you scowl at him. “you had me really worried for a second, why’re you crying so much over a test that you don’t even know the results of yet?” he asks, as brutally honest as always. if he sees that he’s upset you even more, he’d feel really bad and try to lighten the situation. “ah, you don’t need maths anyway, that’s why we have calculators these days anyway isn’t it? plus you gave me, you’re super smart boyfriend, anyway!” ( gets a lil slap on the chest as you giggle lightly, telling him to shut up. )

SUNOO!

is immediately concerned when you don’t go running into his arms, a huge smile on your face like you normally would. like jake, sunoo can read you very well and he drinks in your mood — so if you’re upset, sunoo is upset! you’d walk past him and make a beeline straight for your bedroom. although you could hide your tears from him, you couldn’t conceal your weak cries that have him practically chasing after you. you don’t even have a second to put down your bag before sunoo is engulfing you in a hug. “what happened, flower? why are you crying — did someone say something to you?” he’d ask, immediately wanting to find a solution for you. but when you tell him you completely failed a test, and how embarrassed you are of yourself, sunoo simply pulls you on to the bed with him, pulling you to sit between his legs. “don’t let yourself get so upset, there’s plenty of more tests for you to pass — and this one doesn’t define your intelligence, ok?” he comforts you, your fingers intertwined.

JUNGWON!

looking at you in concern when you just sit and play with your food, a dull look on your face. jungwon can tell there’s a lot on your mind and he frowns at the thought of you keeping it all bottled up to yourself. “baby, why aren’t you eating? did something happen?” he’d ask you gently. the soft tone of his voice immediately makes tears puddle in your eyes, and you begin to babble on about how you have a really important test coming up and you still barely know anything. jungwon hates seeing you stressed out and so he will do anything to help you, including tutoring you himself. if he knows nothing about the subject, he will do some intense research just to help you out as much as he can!

NIKI!

honestly he probably understands exactly how you feel, but he really doesn’t like the thought of you being so stressed about exams that you just burst out crying. he’d firstly try and comfort you as much as he can, but he can be a little awkward with his words and so may just settle for holding you, running his hands up and down your back. i think then, he’d take you out on little study dates, where you can both enjoy yourself and not worry about wasting studying time. he’d take you to a little cafe and order you your favourite things, all whilst he praises you for even the little things that you get right, a huge and proud grin on his face!

enha ‘s partner being flirted with

HEESUNG

despite your hand in his and you sitting shoulder-close to each other - the man infront you won’t quit flirting. heesung will just look at him in disbelief, his eyebrows furrowed. you’ll spare him a glance, lips pulling into an awkward smile as the man continues to talk your ear off. heesung can see your discomfort, and he’s not one for confrontation and so he’d probably just sigh, pulling you up to stand with him, cutting the man off abruptly and walking off to elsewhere!

JAY

is having none of it! the second he even sees the man approaching you two, a confident smirk on his face, jay is glaring burning holes into him. his arm around your waist would tighten, pulling you a tad closer to him. the man would still compliment you shamelessly, despite being able to see jay strapped to you. jay is impatient with man and eventually would just tell him to get lost in a polite way; he wasn’t all that polite, but he argues with you that he was.

JAKE

jake is a very polite, cheerful person so unlike jay, he wouldn’t be rude and try and scare off the person. he’d even try and join in on the conversation at first, but the man keeps on brushing him off and ignoring his presence. he’d get a little upset at this, not liking to be excluded. but then the man would try touching your hair and such which would not only make you uncomfortable, but jake too — which he takes as his queue to leave, like heesung, without a word.

SUNGHOON

so fed up of this man, the two of you are literally holding hands how is he not getting the hint? sunghoon is more disgusted than anything, and just finds the whole situation cringy. if the man were to actually look at sunghoon, all they’d see is this grimace across his face. would just keep blatantly groaning in annoyance, turning to you, “babe are you as bored as i am? let’s go.” he’d huff, glaring once more.

SUNOO

it really could not be anymore obvious, with sunoo’s arms wrapped around your waist, his chin rested on your shoulder with the lightest kisses to your cheek every so often, how is this man in the right mind to come up to you and ask if you’re free on the weekend? you and sunoo would just look at eachother, mostly in confusion because … ? sunoo would roll his eyes and scoff, planting a kiss to your lips — hoping that’d make the message a lil clearer.

JUNGWON

shuts the man down immediately, he does not have time for this. he’s just trying to have a nice date with you when the waiter of the cafe comes over with a napkin, asking if you’d like to leave your number there. before you can even get a word out jungwon sighs, “she’s with me, get back to work.” he’d tell him and bite into his cake in annoyance. when the waiter left sheepishly you’d giggle a lil, teasing jungwon. “she’s with me ..? pfft” and he’d just roll his eyes at you.

NIKI

he’s definitely confused. he’d pick you up from your class and you’re taking a little longer than usual and he’s getting a lil impatient here. he’d poke his head into your classroom to see you talking to some boy in your class, a pretty bored look on your face. your eyes would flicker to the door and immediately light up, “oh look, there’s my boyfriend!” you’d tell the boy, skipping over to niki. niki would blink at you at first, but he gets a clue — smirking smugly at the boy.

enha ‘s partner having a bad habit

HEESUNG

“what’s wrong?” heesung asked in concern when you pull away from the kiss with a wince of pain. his eyes drift down to your lips, red and peeled. he watches as you suck in your bottom lip and run your tongue over it to try and relive the stinging pain. he frowns. “have you been biting your lips?” he asks, but it’s evident enough. you try and brush him off, but he scurries off the bed, fishing through his bag. he pulls out a pot of lip balm and twists the lid open. he holds you chin between his fingers, and uses the other to apply the balm to your lower lip as gently as he can & places a gentle kiss to your lips, pulling back with a smile, “better?”

JONGSEONG

often when anxious, you find yourself unable to sit still. jay look at you briefly, concerned at your inability to stay out for more than a few seconds. he understood you were anxious hanging around with his friends considering you were only just getting to know them, but he didn’t expect you to shift in your seat every so often, excusing yourself to use the toilet at every time you deemed appropriate, you were even rocking back and forth in your seat. you shift in your seat again, going to stand up when jay quickly pulls you down to him, sitting you shoulder close to next to him. his hand goes to find yours, he gives it a small squeeze, and a small smile.

JAKE

you have a habit of getting distracted easily, but jake is always happily there to take care you of. some days he’ll ask you to do things around the house and in a matter of minutes you’ve busied yourself with something else. jake is not that bothered, he knows you don’t do it on purpose and so he’ll come up from behind you, his hands resting on your hips and all it takes is a smile, and you’re gasping, rushing to go and do whatever you were doing beforehand. if you’re studying too, jake will often watch over you, putting you back on track whenever you drift off to something else.

SUNGHOON

without meaning to you find yourself apologising for every little thing, even the things that aren’t your fault, or things that you don’t need to apologise for. sunghoon will often quirk an eyebrow, shooting you a confused look when you apologise for something that wasn’t your fault. “why’re you saying sorry? it wasn’t you that got my order wrong.” he says, but you mistake the confused tone of his voice for irritation and mutter another apology. sunghoon breathes a gentle sigh, and pulls you into him slightly - your guilty face pinches his heart. “stop saying sorry, it’s not your fault.”

SUNOO

sunoo often grimaces when he catches you pulling out your eyelashes mindlessly. “does that not hurt?” he asks you and you look at him in confusion, not understanding what he’s talking about at first until you look down at your fingertips & see the few clumps of lashes you’d pulled out. ‘not really.’ you’d mumble and go back to whatever you were doing. subconsciously, your fingers reach upwards again to pick at your eyelashes but sunoo interferes. his hand interlocks with yours and he clasps them together, resting them in his lap. it’s something he continues to do whenever he sees your hands move up, with a delicate kiss to your eyelid.

JUNGWON

you didn’t realise how badly you’d scratch at your arms when stressed, until you looked down at the sudden pain & your arms were scraped and sore. jungwon is attentive and so when he sees you practically clawing at your arms when worrying about your upcoming test, he’s very quick to pull your hands away, trapping them in his for the time being. he will research different ways to break your habit the next day. frowns at your hisses of pain whenever he has to apply lotion to your wounds, “i know love, it’ll feel better though.”

NIKI

niki will often look over to you in busy places to see you nervously chewing at your nails, eyebrows drawn up with anxiousness. when he realises that telling you stop biting is no use at all, he finds ways to physically prevent you from doing so. when you’re out, he’ll try and get you to wear gloves but most of the time he reverts to simply taking your hand in his. if he can sense you’re feeling anxious, he’ll take your hand in his straight away, shooting you a tiny smile.
