Her hair is a dark strawberry blonde
And when I'm with her, nothing is wrong
Takes my hand in hers when the lights aren’t on
Smaller than mine and oh god I am gone
You laid in bed next to your girlfriend, Chrissy, at one of your “sleepovers” the two of you always have. Your parents both think that you're just friends, best friends probably, considering how much time you both spend together. But the two of you know the truth, the secret of your relationship kept hidden from the judgemental nobodies that live in Hawkins, Indiana.
You felt extremely out of place in your girlfriend’s all pink and frilly bedroom, your style mainly consisting of dark colors and nerdy graphic tees. Truthfully, you and Chrissy couldn’t be more different. But somehow, that’s what made you so perfect for each other.
Chrissy’s hand slid over to you, her hand grasping yours. You felt your heart flutter at the feeling, her smaller hand behind engulfed by your own. You smiled to yourself, just savoring the feeling of being close to her. You wouldn’t trade this for anything.
I wanna be with her all day
I'm a bitch to everyone else anyway
It's hard to keep a tight leash on my head
All I wanna do is kiss her lips in my bed
You smiled up at Chrissy, watching cheer practice as you sat in the bleachers. She winked at you, causing butterflies to erupt inside your stomach. You felt entranced while watching your girlfriend, your eyes glued on her effortless movements and tricks. But the tight shirt and short skirt did help quite a bit too.
You were pulled out of your not very holy thoughts when she walked over to you, a bright smile on her face, like always.
“Hey, sweetheart. You did amazing today,” you said, smiling back at her.
“Thanks, baby!” she replied, squeaking in surprise as you hugged her.
“Y/n, you know we can’t be affectionate in public. I don’t want anyone to-,”
“Shh, don’t worry about that. Friends can hug. This can be a friendly thing.”
She rolled her eyes, but smiled at you nonetheless, not making a move to push you away. You looked around the gym, making sure no one was looking at the two of you, before you placed a quick kiss on her cheek. Chrissy’s cheeks instantly turned bright red.
“I- you- I mean- ugh,” Chrissy tried to speak, but you had successfully flustered her, taking away her abilities to form words.
You simply smiled, finally removing your arms from her as you heard footsteps approaching.
“What is she doing here?” Veronica, a bratty and rich cheerleader, said.
“Yeah, why’d you invite the freak?” Betty, Veronica’s little sidekick, added.
The two of them glared at you, looking at you as if you were worse than the shit on their shoes.
“Guys, she’s my friend. You know this,” Chrissy said, looking a bit upset, but not wanting to start something.
Veronica scoffed, “Okay, but just look at her. I mean she’s clearly a lesbian. She probably only comes here to look up our skirts.”
Betty laughed, and Chrissy’s face fell. You, on the other hand, were beginning to get pissed off. This wasn’t the first time Chrissy’s supposed “friends” had been a bitch to you, and you were having a hard time ignoring it. You were about to say something, when Chrissy cut in.
“So what if she is? Hmm? What, you have a problem gay people?”
Betty rolled her eyes, “Obviously. All queers are freaks. I wouldn’t be caught dead even talking to one.”
“And yet here you are,” Chrissy replied.
Your eyes widened, and a proud smirk grew on your face as you watched Veronica and Betty’s jaws drop. Chrissy simply smiled and then turned to you, pulling you into a kiss.
“Y/n is my girlfriend,” she said, smirking at the girls after she pulled away,
They scrunched their faces up in disgust, walking away from the two of you. You could’ve sworn you heard one of them mutter “freaks” under their breath.
“I thought you weren’t ready to come out yet?” you asked, turning to Chrissy, your smile never leaving your face.
“Fuck it,” she said, pulling you closer and kissing you again.
’Cause my girl's made of peaches and soft grass and the moonlight
Every touch reminds me, it's alright
Can't ignore the rest of forever
Can you stay and make me feel better?
“How are you so perfect?” you asked, looking down at Chrissy, who was currently resting her head against your chest.
Chrissy turned her head to look up at you. “What do you mean? I’m not perfect.”
“But you are. I mean you’re the nicest person I’ve ever seen, you’re so much smarter than you give yourself credit for, and you’re just amazing at every single thing you try. Not to mention you’re the hottest girl on this planet.”
Chrissy blushed, a small smile on her face. You smirked to yourself when you noticed she was embarrassed. You knew she didn’t have the best self image, so you took it upon yourself to constantly remind her how perfect she truly was. And every single time, you got to see her blush. It was a win-win.
“You’re just saying that,” she said, burying her face into your neck.
“I’m not. I really believe that you are the most perfect girl to ever walk this planet. And I’m the luckiest person ever to just get to be with you.”
“You’re wrong. It’s the other way around,” she said, lifting her head to look at you. “I’m the lucky one.”
“Really?” you asked, raising an eyebrow. “But I’m a total geek! I mean half my wardrobe is Star Wars shirts, I play D&D, and I still regularly go to the arcade. You’re so out of my league, it’s unbelievable.”
She huffed, her smile never faltering. “Well, I just happen to like geeks. And you just happen to be my favorite one.”
This time it was your turn to blush, your face growing warm at her words. She simply smiled, leaning in to press a kiss on your cheek, leaving a pink lipstick mark on your face.
Make me want to believe it's okay
Whisper in my room when it's so late
I'm so tired of being exhausted
All I want is her to get lost in
“Baby, it’s time to wake up. We’re gonna be late to school,” Chrissy said, shaking you lightly.
You grumbled, wrapping your arms around her tighter and pulling her closer. You buried your face into her neck, not letting her out of your grip.
“Don’t wanna get up. Too tired. Besides, you’re too comfy, I can’t get up,” you mumbled, pressing soft kisses against her neck.
Chrissy giggled at the feeling, leaning down to kiss the top of your head.
“But we’re gonna be late. It’s already 7:30.”
You huffed, lifting your head to look at her. “I don’t care. Don’t wanna get up.”
“What, you think we should skip?”
Smiling, you nodded your head, kissing her cheek. “What an amazing idea. We can just stay here all day. Besides, we can have so much more fun here than we could at school.”
“Y/n!” Chrissy chastised, her face turning bright red.
“What? I just got a new Atari. That’s way more fun than health class. What did you think I meant?”
“Uhh, nothing,” she said, looking away and still blushing madly.
You smirked and sat up, pulling her into your lap and kissing her. “I guess we could do that too.”
I can't describe all the changes I felt
The past couple years really put me through hell
But she cools me down
You hugged Chrissy tightly as she sobbed into your chest. She had just quit the cheer team, and she was utterly miserable. You didn’t know what happened or why she had done it, and you couldn’t even ask since she was currently crying. She loved cheer, everytime she held her pom poms and performed one of her carefully perfected routines, the smile on her face was like no other. She was always happiest when she was cheering. So why would she just quit?
“What happened, sweetheart? You can talk to me,” you whispered, moving your hand in circles on her back to comfort her.
She slowly pulled her head up once her tears slowed, her eyes red and puffy, tears staining her face and her nose dripping. You frowned and grabbed a tissue from your nightstand, wiping her face clean. She leaned into your touch as your hand brushed the tissue over her face.
“Veronica and Betty told the rest of the squad. About us. They were threatening to report me to the coach to try and get me kicked off. They said they didn’t feel safe with a freak like me in the locker room. It was just getting worse and worse. I- I couldn’t take it anymore. I didn’t want to do something I would regret, so I just left.”
“Chrissy,” you said softly, your heart shattering at her confession. “I’m so sorry, darling. I- I can’t help but feel like it’s my fault. You weren’t ready to come out yet. I- I really hope you don’t feel like I forced you to.”
She shook her head, grabbing your hand. “It’s not. It was my decision. I told them about us. It was my choice, and now I have to deal with the consequences.”
“But if we weren’t together, you would still be-,”
“Don’t,” Chrissy cut you off. “Don’t finish that sentence. I want to be with you. I’ll always want to be with you. I knew it was going to be hard, and yeah maybe it was worse than I expected, but I wouldn’t change anything. No matter what happens, I’ll always choose you. Because… I love you.”
Your eyes widened and a smile overtook your face. “Do you mean that?”
“I do. I love you.”
“I love you too,” you said, leaning in towards her.
You felt your heart stop when your lips met hers.
Keeps my feet on the ground when I get too high
And she makes me feel like this could be something real
And I do know why
“I have something for you,” you said, reaching into your backpack.
You and Chrissy were sitting on her bed, working on homework together. You wanted to wait for a more special occasion for what you were about to do, but you were getting impatient. Your fingers wrapped around the velvet box in your bag, pulling it out.
Chrissy gasped when she saw it. “Is that what I think it is…?”
You smiled and shook your head. “Not exactly, we’re still a bit too young for that.”
You pulled the box open, revealing a small silver ring with a pink gem in the middle.
“It’s a promise ring. I want to be with you for the rest of my life, and I hope you want that too. It’s not much, the gem’s not even real, I couldn’t afford that, but I can get you a better one once-”
Chrissy cut you off by taking your face in her hands and kissing you. When she pulled away, you saw she was smiling brightly and her eyes were watering.
“It’s perfect. You’re perfect.”
“So… is that a yes?”
She giggled, nodding her head. “Yes, obviously!”
You pulled the ring out and slipped it onto her finger. She sniffled and wiped her eyes, and you smiled at her.
“I’ll always love you. Until the end of time,” you said, leaning in so your forehead was pressed against hers.
’Cause my girl’s made of peaches and soft grass and the moonlight
Every touch reminds me, it's alright
Can’t ignore the rest of forever
Can you stay and make me feel better?
The years went by, and yet for the two of you it felt as if no time had passed at all. You still felt like you were in the honeymoon phase, each and every moment spent together making you feel as giddy as it did in the beginning. Once you both graduated, you went to Indiana State together, and you shared a dorm room.
Living together was one of the best things you had ever experienced. You didn’t have to be scared of what people would say or worry about parents walking in. You were on your own, and you were free to be yourselves. No more hiding, no more secrets. You and Chrissy were in love and you didn’t care who knew it.
College blew by, and soon you were graduating. Life was just about to begin. After you both received your diplomas and you went outside to meet up with your family and friends, you pulled Chrissy aside. She looked confused, but didn’t question it as you led her towards a secluded area.
“What’s going on? Why’re we all the way over here?”
Instead of answering, you pulled out a small box from your pocket and got down on one knee. Chrissy gasped, moving her hand to cover her mouth in surprise. You smiled up at her as you opened the box, revealing a sparkling diamond ring.
“Chrissy, every single day I’ve spent with you has been magical. Meeting you completely changed my life, and I’m forever grateful for all the moments we’ve shared. You showed me pieces of myself that I never knew were there. I’m a better person because of you. I love you so much. More than I’ve ever loved someone before. And I never want to let you go. I want to spend the rest of forever with you. Chrissy Cunnigham, will you make me the happiest girl in existence, and be my wife?”
“Yes! Yes, of course!” she said, smiling widely as she grabbed your hands and pulled you up off the ground.
You slid the ring on her finger and then she wrapped her arms around your neck, pulling you into a kiss. You wrapped your arms around her waist, holding her closer. You didn’t want to pull away, even if you were growing out of breath. Cheers coming from behind you forced the two of you apart.
Steve, Eddie, Nancy, Robin, Jonathan, and Argyle stood there, smiling at the two of you. Chrissy flushed red and buried her face in your neck.
“So…?” Steve asked, seeming even more invested in this than you were.
“She said yes!” you said, wrapping your arm around Chrissy’s waist.
“That’s amazing! I’m so happy for you guys!” Steve said, smiling proudly.
“I better be the Maid of Honor!” Robin shouted.
“Only if I get to be the best man!” Steve replied.
You simply smiled, watching your friends bicker over who would get to be what at your wedding. You smiled down at your girlfriend fiancé, overwhelmed with all the love you felt for her. You were going to get to spend the rest of your life with Chrissy, starting a family and growing old together. You couldn’t think of a better future. Or a better person to spend it with. Everything was going to be perfect.
Make me want to believe it's okay
Seeing her at home when it's so late
I'm so tired of being exhausted
All I want is her to get lost in

Word Count: 816
Warnings: A bit of language, partial nudity, making out, they watch an erotic film (nothing is described)
Summary: Chrissy has always had a crush on you, and it all comes out when the two of you have a sleepover.
Taglist: @gg-is-a-loser @yesshewrites1
Chrissy had never slept over at your house before. She’d slept over at Emily’s house, and Laura’s house, and even Stephanie Wilson’s—but never yours. You were different—she didn’t get flustered when Emily changed clothes in front of her, or when Laura called her platonic pet names. She didn’t blush when Stephanie gave her a hug.
She didn’t feel that way about Emily, Laura, or Stephanie. Not the way she felt about you.
She tried to argue when you suggested she spend the night. “I wouldn’t want to intrude,” she insisted, “I’m sure you don’t have enough space for me.”
“Oh, no, honey, don’t worry about it, we can just share my bed.”
Chrissy turned bright red. “O-o-okay then.”
You smiled, tossing her a pair of pajama bottoms. “Here, you can wear these. You can change into ‘em while I take out my contacts.”
Chrissy blinked. “C—You wear contacts?”
You laughed nervously. “Yeah, I have terrible vision. Contacts are such a pain but I hate how glasses look on me, so I usually deal with the hassle when I’m going out.”
Chrissy swallowed as you walked into the bathroom. She didn’t know why the thought of you in glasses made her so nervous—plenty of people wore glasses, it was just a normal thing. It was just… it was you. You in glasses. You must look so cute in glasses! And sexy, and—Chrissy, stop thinking, she scolded herself.
You came out of the bathroom and Chrissy tried her best to appear casual. Gosh, she’s hot with glasses on. She turned bright red and looked away from you, clearing her throat.
“Your, uh, your glasses are cute,” she managed, examining her perfectly manicured nails. And you are too—CHRISSY SHUT UP.
You giggled, sitting on the bed next to her. “Thanks, Chris. You’re cute too.” You booped her nose.
Chrissy let out a strangled noise she couldn’t quite stifle.
You pulled away in concern. “Are you okay?”
Chrissy’s eyes widened and she covered her face in mortification. “Oh, gosh, that was embarrassing,” she mumbled.
You laughed, and pulled her hands away from her face. “Don’t worry, Chrissy, I’m not gonna make fun of you.” You kissed her nose and walked over to your closet.
Chrissy fell back onto your bed, covering the probably-red heat on her face with her hands.
“So, how’s cheer going?” you asked, pulling out a t-shirt and beginning to strip down.
Chrissy froze at the sight of your bare back and cleared her throat, unable to look away. “G-good! It—it’s been good.”
“That’s great!” You turned around and Chrissy got a flash of your tits before you pulled the t-shirt over your head. She could barely breathe. You plopped down next to her with a big smile, the shirt riding up to reveal pink lacy panties. “Wanna watch Blood and Roses?”
She tilts her head. “I’ve never heard of that one.”
“Oh, it’s so good, we have to watch it.” You got up and fished for the tape in the box under your T.V. “It’s a sixties movie about vampires, you’ll love it.” You found what you were looking for and held it up triumphantly before slipping it into the player.
Chrissy swallowed. “Is it—is it scary?”
You nodded your head from side to side in a “so-so” motion. “Eh, kind of. It’s mostly just really sexy.” You grinned slyly before leaping back up next to her.
Chrissy swallowed again and watched the movie with wide eyes. Oh, gosh, she realized quickly, this is lesbian erotica.
She watched the film attentively, watching Carmilla and Georgia do things she wished she could do with you.
It ended and Chrissy was left feeling hot and dizzy. You looked over at her, grinning expectantly, but your smile dropped when you saw her expression. “Are you okay?”
Her eyes widened and her mouth opened, but she couldn’t think of anything to say. Before she could stop herself, she was grabbing your face in her hands and kissing you passionately. You gasped against her lips before kissing her back, tangling your hands in her hair and letting her push you down onto your bed.
Kissing you was like nothing she’d ever experienced before—it was nothing like Jason, or Michael, or Christopher, or any guy she’d kissed before. Gosh, it was so much better. You were so much better.
“Gods, Chrissy, I’ve been in love with you for years,” you told her breathlessly once you broke apart.
“Really?” she asked shyly, her tone a stark contrast from the hot desire she’d shown just moments before.
“Of course, Chris.” You leaned up and kissed her neck, trailing up her jaw and finishing with a soft peck to her cheek.
Chrissy giggled breathlessly, collapsing against you and nuzzling the crook of your neck. “You look so hot with glasses on.”
You laughed, rubbing her shoulder. “Thanks, Chrissy. You look hot no matter what.”

Missing You (1)
chrissy cunningham x fem!reader
Tumblr media
your feelings for your ex-bestfriend come back as
you get partnered for a science project. will you
become close again, or maybe even more?
Tumblr media
“lastly, chrissy and y/n. you all have the rest of the class period to start planning your projects! remember that it is due in a month, it’s quite a big project.”
you snapped back into reality when you heard your name getting called with chrissy’s. the teacher was making the class do a rollercoaster project, something to do with physics or whatever. the last thing you wanted was planned partners, especially your partner being the queen of hawkins high.
chrissy cunningham. your bestfriend (ex-bestfriend) since the fifth grade. you two had an inseparable friendship until you started drifting away the middle of sophomore year. it wasn’t that you hated each other, you two just blended into different social groups. it wasn’t a surprise the preppy blonde became a cheerleader and fit right in with the popular clique. everyone loved her for her kind personality and amazing academic ability.
at least that’s what chrissy thought. she didn’t notice that most people were just using her for any of her good traits. jason especially, using her looks to keep his reputation.
there was no way you would be able to tell her that. you ended up blending with the so called “outcasts.” this made your close friendship with eddie munson. he took you under his wing seeing you as a scared freshman being new to hawkins high. you didn’t mind your reputation being so low as you were glad to find new friends with common interests.
but you missed chrissy from time to time. it was junior year, so it hadn’t been very long since you two fell off. you missed the feeling she used to give you even if you denied it. you always thought it was how best friends should feel, but it wasn’t, and you had finally accepted that. you liked chrissy cunningham.
“y/n?”
you felt a gentle tap on your right shoulder and turned to see chrissy. hearing her soft voice say your name for the first time in a while made your heart jump, and a tight feeling began to form in your chest.
“hi.”
“hey.”
awkward silence took over what was an attempted conversation. you were looking down at your hands, fiddling with them as you always did. you felt the other’s eyes on you as you cleared your throat trying to spit something out.
“so, the project, do you have any ideas already?”
“i do, actually. it should be pretty easy, so we could finish it early if we worked on it enough.”
there was that high pitched voice you had missed so much. chrissy always sounded like that when she would be talking about something she was passionate or excited about. she continued to tell you her idea and both of you felt the awkwardness slowly fade away. you tended to not really pay attention in this class so most of what she was saying didn’t make sense. she could tell and stopped explaining.
“so, uh, i could head to the store after school and get some of the materials. is it alright if we work at your house?”
“yeah, that’s cool. my mom can ma-“
the bell rang and students quickly walked out of the classroom. before you could continue, jason stepped in and hugged chrissy from behind.
this made your stomach hurt and you grabbed your bag to leave.
“you have my number, just call me when you’re on your way.”
you began to walk out of the classroom hearing another one of jason’s insults. as expected, chrissy didn’t say anything. she was under jason’s control and couldn’t even tell.
Tumblr media
“you good, y/n?”
“eddie, you’re not gonna believe what happened in physics.”
“shoot.”
“i got partnered with chrissy cunningham.”
eddie almost choked on his sandwich. he knew about your crush on chrissy and what happened to the both of you during sophomore year. he was one of the few accepting people in your life, and you loved him for that.
“ah shit, it’s just like one of those cheesy rom-coms at the family video.”
“yeah, except those rom-coms have straight people, ed. this isn’t going to be anything like them. and we’re working on the project at my house. she hasn’t been there in forever.”
the last time you remember chrissy being at your house was the summer before last school year. you and her stayed up watching all the movies you had rented, stuffing yourselves with a lot of junk.
“cmon, have faith. maybe you guys could become friends again. or maybe even moreee~”
eddie leaned into you making kissy lips as you both laughed, pushing him away. more of your friends came and he began talking to them while leaving you with your thoughts.
was this a sign for something? you and chrissy really could become friends again. there was a small part of you that really hoped you would. yeah, you appreciated eddie and the others. you had also made close friends with steve and robin since you went to the family video so much, but you weren’t as happy with them as you used to be with chrissy.
you continued eating lunch and talked to your group in an attempt to distract yourself from the situation. you shouldn’t be so worried, it’s just a project.
a project for a month, that hopefully as chrissy mentioned, you could finish early and go back to never speaking again.
it can’t be that hard, right?

"Alright, now just bend your legs a little."
You instruct the blonde who's wobbling around on your skateboard in front of you. She bends her previously stiff legs like you suggested, but her arms stay locked out in front of her to hold your hands.
"Perfect." You smile at her, but her gaze is on the ground, "You ready to try moving?"
Chrissy's eyes go wide at the suggestion, causing her to start wobbling again as she whips her head up to look at you. She had asked you during lunch if you could teach her how to skate, but so far shes only managed to stand on the board. "I don't know..."
"You're gonna be fine." You kindly reassure her, lifting one of her hands so she can see yours joined with it, "I'm gonna be right here, remember?"
She thinks for a moment, talking herself up mentally... "You won't let go?"
You shake your head, repeating, "I'll be right here."
Chrissy takes a deep breath, squeezing your hands tighter to balance herself as she kicks off the ground to push herself forward. She rolls slowly across the empty parking lot as you walk alongside her. "See? You're already doing great, Chriss!"
She smiles at that, feeling brave enough to go a little bit faster. You pick up your pace slightly to keep up with hers, still able to comfortably follow along.
"You think you're ready to try turning that corner?" You ask as you approach the end of your current section.
Chrissy wobbles a bit still, but is much more comfortable than she was a few minutes ago. She nods in response, "Yeah. How do I do it?"
You smile at her confidence, "Just lean into your heels to turn right. Yeah, just like that."
Chrissy leans back as you instructed, rounding the corner perfectly. "I'm doing it!"
"Yeah, you are!" You praise, excited to see her making such good progress, "You know, you're a very quick learner, blondie."
"Maybe I just have a really good teacher." she smiles, pulling herself back into an upright position after completing the turn.
She stabilizes herself for a moment, until all of a sudden, the adjustment feels disorienting. She wobbles and looks to you for help as she feels herself starting to fall backwards. In order to salvage it, you pull lightly on her hands to pull her back upright. You clearly pull a little harder than you meant to, as the next thing you know, you're lying on the concrete with Chrissy splayed out on top of you.
You feel her shaking, and you immediately sit up to see if she's hurt or crying. "Shit, are you okay?" Relief washes over you to find out she's not crying, she's laughing uncontrollably. She nods against your shoulder, unable to get out any words. Her giggles are contagious, and you can't help but start to laugh yourself, the both of you looking absolutely insane together in the middle of the empty high school parking lot.

Series Program | Camp Upside Down
Counselor Notes: There was one side of the story that I neglected to share when I originally wrote the series, and it was disrespectful to Chrissy that I didn't expand with her perspective. So Chrissy, I am so sorry for only using you as a device. Hopefully, I did you just in how caring and sensitive you were trying to be while everything was unfolding. This will not make sense if you have not read the previous chapters of this series.
“Can we talk,” her voice soft and bell-like shrills in your ear.
Her words run down you like ice water and freeze you on the sidewalk. Cold air bites your flushed cheeks this forsaken autumn afternoon. Your headphones feel heavier on your shoulders.
“I didn’t realize you were back in town. Congrats on almost finishing your first upperclassmen semester,” you force out. The warm cups of coffee in your hands do nothing to protect you from the shivers of anxiety coursing through you.
“I get why everyone runs on coffee with capstone deadlines,” she half-heartedly jokes, “It’s been nice being back. I’ve gotten to help mum and dad get ready for Thanksgiving, and I’ve caught up with almost everyone in the friend group already”.
“Chrissy,” you rasp. The paper cups start to shake in your hands as you desperately try to hold your emotions back.
“Please,” Chrissy breathes out. “The last thing I ever wanted to do was drive you and Eddie apart,” her voice wavers, “And it hurts, tears me to bits, that I basically did. It’s hurt Eddie so much- I know how much you still mean to him”.
“Chrissy, stop,” you hiss. Tears sting across your lash line as you shut your eyes tight. You swallow the bile that formed in your mouth at the sound of his name.
“I never meant to replace you. That was never my intention. I am so-,” her voice, now louder just behind your shoulder, breaks, “so sorry. Five minutes. That’s all I ask, and I know how selfish it is when you’re the one in pain. I’m sorry for hurting you so much”.
“If you’re so sorry, then why are you asking that much of me,” you choke out. Her words burn you worse than the steaming coffee trickling over your fingers. Cups crumpled from holding them too tight without realizing.
“Because you two are meant to be in each other’s lives. I don’t know how- what type of connection or love- but you two complete each other,” Chrssiy’s voice softens. She bites back the tears bubbling and stops herself from reaching out to touch your arm. Fiddling with her fingers, she doesn’t want to cross any of your boundaries more than she has.
It’s odd, you think. Passersbys scuttle around you, completely oblivious to your shattered heart they’re stepping on. Blaring cars whir past you on the street and block any attempt to escape. Only the sound of Chrissy’s voice seems to get through to you as the town of Hawkins falls silent. As if the only choice you can make in the situation is to spare five minutes of your time to hear Chrissy out, and then the world will let you back into society.
“Five minutes,” you blurt out, “Steve’s waiting, and I’m going to have to get new coffees anyways now”. You toss the cups into the trash can and shake off the lingering droplets. Your chest feels heavy when you turn to face Chrissy.
No longer sporting the varsity sweater or green ribbon in her hair, Chrissy looks only slightly older but more at ease. Comfortably bundled in the faded jean vest with band patches that she knows a few songs of. The skittish energy that you had become familiar with her presence is now dormant as she looks you in the eye. Her bright blue eyes glisten with unshed tears and harbored guilt. Unwarranted guilt that you know the young woman should not hold on to. She did absolutely nothing wrong.
Chrissy tentatively nods back to the café you had just exited and falls in step when you walk by her. Your steps fall unintentionally fast as you try to avoid meeting the eyes of an all too familiar devil. The little bell above the door announces your entry and confused glances of recognition flash onto the baristas behind the counter.
“Can I pay for your drinks? I don’t mean to keep inconveniencing you,” Chrssiy timidly offers. The hard expression pressing into your face leaves her in a sea of unease.
“S’alright, but thank you. Steve lost a bet, so daddy’s credit card is treating us today,” you chuckle and reorder your coffees. Shuffling over to one of the tables by the door, you take a seat in the stiff chair and watch Chrissy out of the corner of your eye as she shares her order with the barista. Still seemingly lighting up any room she inhabits.
When her shining rays of joy face your direction, you focus your unenthused gaze out the window. Classmates’ parents walk by as dogs twist between the legs of pedestrians. The metal shriek from the opposite chair makes you wince and forces you to look at Chrissy’s small smile.
An olive branch to help you feel as comfortable as you possibly can in this unwanted situation.
“Five minutes,” you look at her with a blank expression, “That’s how long it’ll take to make our stupid, complicated coffees. That’s how long I’ll be able to look at you without crying. That’s how long I’ll allow you to torture me with this any further”. You encourage her to begin with a small gesture of your hand.
Chrissy knows you don’t owe her anything. She accepts that, but the unwavering look of discontent doesn’t make this any easier.
Taking a deep breath, Chrssiy summons all the confidence she can muster. “Eddie has been a wreck without you. He spent countless nights leading up to the,” she hesitates and gnaws on her lip, “confrontation. At least that’s how he refers to it since he admits he was a dick to you. Let anger get the best of him”. Both of you weakly laugh at Eddie’s eloquence.
Clearing her throat, Chrssiy shifts in her seat before continuing, “I didn’t know what to do. It shattered me to watch him slowly lose the most important person in the world, other than Wayne, and not be able to do something about it. The relationship you and Eddie had, still have, was one I did not want to insert myself into. I didn’t want to intrude on the beautiful connection between you two, so I did what I thought was best and waited. I wanted to be your friend and make an effort to get to know you better since you mean everything to Eddie, but I wanted to respect your place in his life and do it on your terms. But when you started to pull away, or maybe it just seemed like that, I stood by him and tried to be there for him. It must have been so weird to have to share your best friend and partner in crime, and I didn’t know what was going on in your head. From the outside looking in, I couldn’t figure out if I had done anything wrong to you or if Eddie upset you somehow. I didn’t want to pretend and make any assumptions about what was happening. Whether you just wanted to avoid me or were in love with Eddie or falling for Steve- it just wasn’t, and still isn’t, my business”.
Sniffles and coffee machines fill the shop with an awful tune.
Tears mix with sweetener to make a signature melancholy drink.
Volatile emotions steep with serene tea bags.
Chrissy looks at you through blurring tears, “And when you hung out- that day when you guys went to Lovers’ Lake- he looked so excited. He bounced out of the house to pick you up. But, when Eddie came home explained what happened on your porch- I knew. And my heart shattered for you”.
With a trembling hand, Chrissy reaches out and grasps your hand that isn’t furiously wiping away tears. She carefully rubs over your knuckles and tries to comfort you. Not out of guilt, but out of complete and utter love. Her chest sears with pain as if all the hurt and agony your heart has gone through is her own. It’s not though. She knows that.
“I’m not here to make my claim or tell you to leave Eddie alone. He needs you more than anything,” she squeezes your hand, “I’m here to just-”. Her sob breaks her train of thought. Guilt and hurt pound against her forehead. She doesn’t know what to do. Doesn’t know what to say to make it better or try to help. She knows she's the last person you ever wanted to bump into, let alone speak to.
Chrissy Cunnigham feels helpless and heartbroken for the soulmates that separated.
“Please, if there’s anything I can do to help mend your bond- I’ll do it. You guys are double trouble, and this town is far too quiet without your carefree laughter and music blasting,” Chrissy’s voice can be barely made out over the pair of you struggling for air.
Looking at her with a sad smile, you squeeze her hand back, “You can’t fix a broken heart, Chrissy dear. Only time can”.
“Order for Harrington,” a far away voice calls.
Reality slams into you, breaking the intense walls Chrissy had built with you. The faint mutters of customers hum in your ears as the smell of bitter coffee stings your nose. A chuckle of disbelief bites your lungs at the thought of how odd your table looks to anyone from the outside.
Standing from your hot seat, the metal screeches against the tile as you share one last look with Chrissy. Her face is blotchy from your sob session, but genuine distress darkens her eyes. “I was never upset with you, Chrissy. I want to make that clear,” you quietly admit. “You did nothing wrong, and I don't want you to hold onto a guilt that’s not from your own actions. Your boyfriend on the other hand,” you tear your gaze away from Chrissy’s apprehensive gaze, “I don’t know. He did nothing wrong, but he fucking sucks at balancing his life. Nothing new- it just fucking hurts to be on the receiving end of it this time. Felt like I got tossed to the side”.
A wave of dizziness makes you sick as you choke out, “So, I appreciate your time and support, but I don’t think there’s anything left to this lost connection”.
Slipping your hand out of her hold, you feel a rush of coolness hit your hot skin. You keep your eyes trained on the order counter when you call back in a flat voice: “Five minutes are up”.
Everything blurs in a haze as you slip your headphones back on and click your Walkman to play. Pat Benetar’s cries seem to harmonize with your heart’s pounding. The short walk over to the counter appears long like one of those fun house mirrors, but every step feels like warp speed leaving you lightheaded.
“Thanks,” your voice comes out scratchy when you grab the coffees.
Sympathetic eyes look you over as the barista hands you your drinks, “What’re you listening to?”
Deep down you know he’s just trying to make you feel better and give you something happy to think about. However, it can’t help but feel like another stab from the universe.
“Love is a battlefield,” you bitterly admit.

Happy Birthday Daddy - Eddie Munson x Chrissy Cunningham
Word Count: 1710
Tumblr media
The soft morning sun filtering through the gap in the curtains is what greets her when she wakes that morning and she is unsurprised to find Eddie still sleeping peacefully next to her. It had always been this way, Chrissy was definitely more of a morning person than Eddie was and it was very rare for him to ever be awake before her but this morning was one where she was more than happy that it was this way considering it was his birthday and she had plans to make him breakfast in bed.
The giggling coming from the room across the hallway let her know that she wasn’t the only early riser that morning and as she climbed out of bed carefully so as not to wake Eddie, she made her way into their daughters room to find her sitting crossed legged on the carpeted floor playing with the dollhouse Eddie had fixed up for her last christmas.
“Morning Angel” Chrissy smiled, catching her attention and she giggled, scrambling off the floor and running towards her as fast as she could on her stubby little legs, curls just like her dad flying out behind her.
“Mommy, mommy” she gasped excitedly in a way that Chrissy didn’t think she’d ever get used to hearing and she planned on cherishing them for as long as she could, knowing her childlike excitement wouldn’t last forever. Throwing her arms out and bouncing on her feet in a silent ask to be picked up that couldn’t be mistook for anything else, Chrissy did exactly that, scooping her wiggling form up into her arms and feeling her arms automatically slide around her neck in a hug which she returned with just as much enthusiasm.
With her daughter resting happily in her arms, she made her way down into the kitchen in an attempt to keep the four year old from waking her dad just long enough for her to prepare his breakfast in bed. Once they made it into the kitchen she looked down at the girl in her arms who was already looking up at her with the same big brown eyes as Eddie, it still baffled her sometimes just how much she was a carbon copy of her dad, and the curiosity shining in them.
“Now Angel I have a very important task to do this morning, do you think you could help me with it?” Chrissy asked, watching her eyes go wide with joy and pride that she was being asked to help even though she didn’t know what it was and soon she was nodding vigorously. “Well it’s daddy’s birthday today,” was all she managed before the girl let out a squeal of excitement before chanting ‘daddy’ to which Chrissy had to try and calm her down before she woke Eddie up and then nothing would get done. “Yes daddy’s birthday and I need you to make him a birthday card, do you think you can do that for me?”
“Yes” she squealed yet again as she began wriggling about in her arms again, so much so that Chrissy had to readjust her hold on the girl so that she didn’t drop her.
“Good, let’s get your crayons and I’ll make breakfast and then we can surprise him, sound good” she suggested, knowing that she’d wouldn’t say no to surprising him because she was after all very much a daddy’s girl. Chrissy set her down and watched as she babbled away happily about what she was going to draw for her dad as she set to work on making breakfast.
Luckily she’d planned this beforehand and gotten in the required groceries in, though maybe she’d gone slightly overboard having bought the necessary ingredients for pancakes and all the trimmings, she’d bought bacon, sausages, eggs and everything for a big hearty breakfast that Eddie sometimes treated them all to at the diner in town and she’d even bought a few different types of breakfast pastries just so he had the choice. In other words it was going to be a banquet fit for a king which was fitting considering he liked to call her his queen.
Chrissy busied herself with making the pancake batter, measuring out all the ingredients and mixing them in the big mixing bowl she usually kept for when she was making cakes, which was usually on birthdays although she knew that the gang were going to be coming over to surprise Eddie later and they had persuaded her to let them take care of the cake so she had little need of it today. It was only when she’d put everything on to cook that she realised how big of a task she was undertaking by attempting to accomplish such a feet by herself that she didn’t hear Eddie enter the kitchen, it was only where she heard the screech of the dining chair against the tiled floor and the squeal of ‘daddy’ that she was aware of him.
Turning her back momentarily on the almost ready breakfast, she spotted him and he flashed her a smile before crouching to welcome the small girl hurtling towards him. “Hey there princess, what are we all doing up so early?” he asked, peppering her face with kisses as she giggled and squirmed in his arms.
“Happy Birthday daddy” she smiled as he eventually pulled away to let her catch her breath and within seconds she was dragging him over to the table where her drawing laid, “look for you” she chatters, attempting to climb back onto the chair but wobbles precariously before Eddie’s sweeping her into his arms and setting her on his lap as he looks down at her drawing of three stick figures and a barely legible ‘happy birthday daddy’ written across the top. Eddie feels his heart soar at the effort she put into making it for him, despite having a whole collection of drawings from her, and it makes his heart soar that he gets to experience all this love for his daughter, his baby.
Chrissy’s so caught up in watching the two loves of her life interact that she forgot about the food until the smell of burning pancake batter filled her nose. Muttering under her breath and hoping that he didn’t hear she turns back to the stove, swiping the pan containing the pancake off the heat and scraping the ruined pancake into the bin, thankfully the rest of the food is still okay and she switches off the heat. Luckily she already has a stack of pancakes made so she doesn’t feel too bad about burning one and as she reaches for a couple more plates to dish up the bacon, sausages and eggs, she doesn’t get too far as Eddie slides his arms around her waist which makes her jump at his unexpected touch.
“What’s the special occasion?” he hums, teasingly as he drops his face to rest in the crook of her neck, pressing soft kisses into the available skin peeking out from the neck of her sleep shirt where her neck meets her shoulder.
“Oh you know it’s just my husband's birthday, thought I’d spoil him a little” she grins as she plays along with him, tilting her head a little to give him access to a little more of her neck.
“Well he’s very lucky to have you and a beautiful little girl to spoil him like this” he murmurs, getting a little lost in the kisses that have Chrissy eyes fluttering shut and her body shivering from his attention until a voice reminds them that now is not the time for that. Leaving go of Chrissy, he turns his attention to his double and leans down to pick her up, “I hope you’re hungry baby girl because mommy’s made a feast” he asks as her eyes fall to the pancakes and she claps happily as she lets Eddie bring her back to the table and Chrissy follows with some pancakes for her.
“What do you want on them, angel?” Chrissy asks as she sets the plate down on the table in front of her.
“Chocolate” comes the reply.
“Did you really need to ask” he laughs, they’d gone through so much chocolate spread in the past couple of months since she’d tried it, she’d had it on toast more often than anything else and even tried to ask for it with her dinner last week so yes she really shouldn’t have been surprised by the answer.
“Okay chocolate it is” she smiles, going back over to the counter to grab the jar of chocolate spread that she’d gotten out earlier as she notices Eddie begin to dish his own breakfast out, “hey birthday boy that's my job go sit down” she instructs but it only gets a chuckle out of him.
“I can plate up my own food, it's no hardship really besides you’ve got the rest of the day to dote on me” he jokes, smiling as he leans over to press a kiss to her forehead before he lets her go back to the task of adding the chocolate to the pancakes.
Once the pancakes are sorted and Chrissy has helped herself to a plate of food she joins the two of them at the table, where she notices that Eddie’s already wiping chocolate off their daughters face and she knows there’s going to be a lot of that before she’s finished eating.
As if sensing her eyes on him he looks over with a smile on his face and she can see just how grateful he is for everything he has swirling in those brown eyes of his, eyes that give away just exactly how he feels, eyes that she always admired and maybe even a little glad that their daughter inherited from him. “I love you” she tells him, unable to keep it to herself when he looks at her like that.
“I love you too” he smiles back, “and this chocolate monster right here” he laughs leaning over to tickle the girl on his right which fills the room with excited giggles and Chrissy can’t help but be thankful for how lucky she is that her life turned out the way it did.

Bullshit.
The word rings obnoxiously in Steve’s ears as he pushes his way out back, not wanting to be anymore of a talking piece at this party than he already was.
He’d just wanted Nancy to stop drinking, take a second, pace herself…
Steve swipes furiously at his eyes, and then curses when it nearly causes him to run into Chrissy Cunnginham, who’s perched in a chair tucked away from the patio door.
“Sorry, sorry.” He apologizes, trying not to sound like he’s upset, trying to keep his cool--only for her to look up and away, brushing off her own tears.
“Oh.” Steve says, a little laugh bubbling out of him. “You too huh?”
Thankfully she correctly interprets that he's not laughing at her, and adds her own giggle to the mix, the sound gentle even if pitched in upset.
"Boy problems?" Steve asks her, sinking down to the vacant chair on Chrissy's right.
She nods, clasping her hands together in her lap.
"Girl problems?" She asks back, and he grimaces a smile.
They sit for a minute, Steve pulling out a cigarette and offering it to her before lighting up. Chrissy shakes her head, and though her nose curls a little at the smoke she doesn’t say anything.
Neither of them do, staring at the few people bringing the party outside in the way only drunk teenagers can.
"Can I tell you something?" Chrissy says finally, as Steve continues to struggle to keep himself breathing evenly (and not spiraling. He still has to go back and try and escort Nancy home, and he needs to keep his temper when he does it.)
She licks her lips. "I keep trying to break up with Jason, but he won't let me."
It takes a second for the words to register, but when they do he leans himself towards chrissy in concern. “What do you mean, he won’t let you?”
“He’s not--it’s not…”She trails off, worrying her bottom lip with her teeth. “He talks me out of it is all.”
She’s downplaying it, and Steve’s concern grows tenfold. “Does he argue with you or just…tells you no or something?”
"It's complicated." Chrissy says, refusing to look at him. "He has this vision for me, for us."
Steve watches as she worries at a hangnail.
Feels the need to reach out and take her hand, but keeps his own hands to himself.
If Steve has learned anything, it's that not everyone wants to be touched as much as he does.
"He keeps telling me I'm just being anxious. That I should trust him, and I do, he just expects me to always do what he says? And more and more lately I--"
She huddles down into the little cat costume she's wearing, pulling the thin black sweater around her. "I want different things than he does."
Steve wonders vaguely if Nancy wants different things.
Or a different person entirely.
"That's not fair to you." Steve says, leaning forward and lowering his own voice. "He can't keep you in a relationship you don't want to be in."
A hard thing for him to say, after the bathroom conversation but this is different.
‘Please, let this be different.’ He thinks, before pushing the thought aside.
"He can't force you to do what he wants just because he wants it, or thinks its best. He should be listening to you and what you want too. Relationships are about…compromise right?” It’s what he’s heard anyway, though most of the time “compromise” means “letting the other person get what they want.”
Which is what he thought he’d been doing for Nancy all this time.
“I can help you if you want. Be your," Steve poorly mimes waving a pom pom. "cheer support."
Chrissy looks at him, eyes still wet. "You would?"
"Of course.” He says, before scooting just a smidgen closer. “Might have to ask you to return the favor though. Nancy said some things tonight and I could really use a second--”
A loud curse makes them both startle, interrupting Steve.
Together, they look around before another noise, like bark being scraped, draws both their attention to the large oak that stands in the backyard.”
"Is…is that Eddie Munson?" Chrissy asks.
"I think so."
Chrissy squints a little, as if not quite believing what she's seeing. "Is…he stuck in a tree?"
Steve finds himself staring in his own disbelief, hands moving to his hips as he watches Munsons wriggling, cursing form.
"I think so." He repeats with a shake of his head.
Eddie's foot slips off a branch, once, twice.
"Hey--" Steve calls out in warning, but unfortunately it comes too late.
The branch under his foot gives away with a startling crack! as another branch shreds Munson's jacket as his full weight caches on it.
"Oh!" Chrissy gasps, hand flying to her mouth as Eddie falls right onto his ass with a yelp.
"You good man?" Steve asks, rising from his chair, hesitant to go over but needing to make sure the idiot hasn't cracked his skull open.
Chrissy has no such qualms, popping up to run over to Munson.
"You're bleeding." She tells him worriedly, dropping to her knees to get a better look.
"Well shit." Munson says with a wonky grin. “I’m sorry.”
“What are you apologizing for?” Chrissy asks, as Steve’s newly honed babysitting instincts kick in and drive him to get up and look at Munson’s injury himself.
Chrissy carefully strokes the older teen’s hair out of his face, as Steve bends down to check his head and neck.
"You hurt anywhere?" He asks, spotting the scratch that had Chrissy worried.
It’s on his forehead--the guy must have knocked his face against the tree when he fell. Head injuries always bleed a ton but this one's well contained to a small scrape.
Probably not a concern, though Steve looks at his pupils anyways.
"Nah, I’m pine. I didn't mean to drop in on you guys.” He waves a hand behind him before dropping his voice to a dramatic whisper. “I knew I shouldn’t have trusted that tree, it was pretty shady.”
Steve, long trained by Dustin, narrows his eyes. "Are you making puns right now?"
"Maybe?" Munson hedges, looking delighted to have been called out.
“Uh huh.” Steve puts his hands back on his hips, straightening up from where he’d crouched down. “Your head okay? You remember your name and shit?”
“Edward Edwardian Munson, present and ready for duty!” He gives a mock salute, before dropping Chrissy a wink. “If the duty is drinking and playing games that is.”
“Your middle name cannot be Edwardian.” Chrissy laughs.
"It is!" He defends, at the same time Steve says,
“It's not "
“Oh?” Munson challenges, as if this entire situation isn’t ridiculous. “Then what is my middle name, Sir Steven?”
“No idea, but I know it’s not that.”
Munson blows a raspberry at him. “Well then, maybe you should mind your own beeswax."
"Like you were doing? Up in the tree right above us?" Steve banters back.
The playful look dies a little, Munson beginning the painful process of standing after one falls.
"For the record, I absolutely was not eavesdropping, you guys just happened to be under the tree I climbed and I was there first. " He says it rapidly, like he's used to being accused of such things, and is heading off as many problems as he can.
Steve just ignores it, opting instead to hold his hands out. One to Chrissy and one to Eddie.
Watches surprise cross the older teens face, even as he waits for Chrissy to get up before accepting Steve's hand.
"Why were you up a tree? The family dog run you up there?" Steve grunts as he pulls the metalhead up.
"Funny." Munson quipped sarcastically. "But no. I was up there for reasons."
'Reasons.' Steve mouths, and has to fight himself to keep from grinning.
"Even though I was there first, I did happen to hear some things." He looks at Chrissy, voice turning serious. "If you need any help getting things through Carver's thick skull I'd love to lend a hand."
"You would cheer for me too?"
"Oh absolutely. I'd make a far better cheerleader than Harrington here." He shoots a grin towards Steve to take the edge off the words, before doing a far more enthusiastic mimicry of the cheerleaders pom pom routine.
"But I know how much Carver hates the word no. If you break up with him and he gives you shit after, I'm happy to step in."
Steve hadn't actually thought about that yet, but given what he knew of Jason it makes sense.
He could easily see Chrissy worrying about Jason harassing her after the break up.
"Thank you. Both of you." She sniffs. "Eddie, are you sure you're okay?"
"Right as rain!" Munson gives a rather theatrical thumbs up. "I'll let you in on a family secret, we Munson's have rubber bones."
She gives him another giggle for his efforts, and even Steve can’t fully cover his
Munson, the ass, notices.
“Well call me the court jester, I got both the King and Queen to smile!” He cheers.
Steve rolls his eyes, but doesn't deny it.
"Chrissy!?" Someone barks, loud in the otherwise quiet backyard.
"Speak of the devil." Eddie drops his voice dramatically as Jason strides out of the house.
"I've been looking for you." He chides, two of his friends following close behind.
They're younger members of the basketball team, ones Steve's brain sluggishly attempts to remember.
"Are your knees dirty?" Jason asks Chrissy, disgust tinting his voice as he slowly looks from her to Munson next to her.
His eyes narrow, expression almost offronted.
"You heathen." Jason snarls, stepping forward with a fist clenched.
It was a move right of the sitcoms Steve swore he didn't watch, and it looked just as cheesy in real life as it did on screen.
"Calm down." Steve speaks up, hands going to his hips.
Jason's head jerks as he registers him, so focused on Munson that Steve slipped his notice entirely.
"Harrington?" He asks, as if Steve could be mistaken for anyone else here.
Steve gives him jazz hands in return.
"What are you doing out here?" Jason speaks only to Steve, whole body angling towards him like he's the only person who matters.
It's something Steve's dad does, if there's a businessman he considers to be an equal in the room. Zoning in on them, so he can subtly work in ways to make them feel inferior.
It's narcissism at its core (or so says his mother, when she's blitzed out on too many glasses of wine.)
"Talking to people." Steve deadpans. "If you're looking for beer, you walked past it."
Jason entire face pinches, like he just stepped in dog shit. "No one just talks to Munson."
It's a stupid thing to say, and whatever Hason was trying to imply with it wasn't appreciated.
"Well mark me as the first." Steve's hip cocks, voice frosting over.
Surprise washes across Munson's face, though he remains silent as Steve deals with Jason.
Probably a smart move, given how Jason seems to be eager for a fight.
"Whatever it is you're doing, you can leave Chrissy out of it." He says, and god his voice even sounds like Steve's dad.
"Chrissy," Steve says, with an eyebrow raise he knows looks judgemental, "can speak for herself."
He turns to face her, inviting her to the conversation, in the same way he'd always wished someone would invite his mother to speak against his father.
Watches as the cheerleader bites her lip, trying hard to hide the tears that have sprung to her eyes--but proves that she's stronger than Steve's mother ever was.
She steps forward, taking the opportunity offered to her with a steadying breath. "Jason--"
"You can explain it to me later." Her boyfriend waves her off, like she was a waitress offering water and not his partner.
Uncaring entirely that she's clearly upset.
That she wants to talk.
Munson has come to stand on Chrissy's other side, gone still in a way Steve's never seen him do.
It's downright weird for a guy who's normally always moving, and Steve knows it's defensive.
He's feeling a little defensive himself right now, though he doesn't want to particularly untangle why.
"Jason, listen to me." Chrissy tries again.
In his preffery vision, Steve spots a flash of familiar color. Turns his head automatically, seeking it out--and sees Jonathan hustling Nancy across the room.
The younger man is trying to balance Nancy while opening the front door, and for a second Steve almost beelines for them, except--
Except.
Nancy's whole body moves in what Steve intimately knows is an exhale, leaning her head in the crook of Jonathan's shoulder.
One arm wraps around his waist, as Jonathan finally gets the door open, and Steve watches with a stunned sort of horror as his girlfriend presses a kiss to Jonathan's shoulder.
It's fine.
He's fine.
Nancy was just--drunk. Seeking comfort. She didn't know what she was doing. She didn't mean it like that, she didn't--
"Oh shit Harrington." Jason drawls, a lazy sort of taunt. "I think Byers just stole your girlfriend."
Steve's head snaps back to him, the emotions he was attempting to box up flying to the front of his brain like dogs who slipped their leash.
"Never thought a priss like Nancy would be easy like that, but then, you never were the kind of guy to inspire loyalty." Jason continues, clearly ignoring his own girlfriend and all Steve can see is red.
Munson sucks air between his teeth next to him, nervously eyeing Steve while Chrissy's eyes have gone wide with shock and growing anger.
"Jason!" She admonishes, but he's not even looking towards her.
That too sharp smile is all for Steve.
He thinks of Nancy, the way she'd been so angry with him but so gentle with Jonathan.
He thinks of the monster he faced down in the Byers house, the terror that had shrank down to that same adrenaline soaked focus he had on the basketball court.
He thinks of this asshole Junior in front of him.
Making Chrissy cry just because she'd been kind enough to try to help Eddie, and accept Eddie's kindness in return when the weirdo tried to help her and Steve both.
Steve taps his foot, then switches his stance.
'Plant your feet.' Hargroves voice snarls in his memory and Steve wouldn't be surprised if the asshole abandons the keg long enough to come watch this.
Have his turn at heckling, just because he can.
Steve plants his feet anyway.
"You know what Carver?" He says, hands dropping from his hips.
Jason's face curves into a smile. "What?" He says, tone smarmy.
"You're full of shit."
Hand cocking back of its own accord, Steve puts every bit of himself into his punch.
Feels it reverberate up his arm as his knuckles connect to Jason's cheek.
It's going to hurt later, but right now all he can do is stand over Jason as the asshole's head snaps sideways, legs staggering him backwards until he's falling into his friends.
Chrissy gasps, Jason's boys chanting variations of 'Oh shit!'
Steve just glares him down.
The junior wipes his bloodied mouth, letting his friends push him up before shrugging them off.
"You're going to regret that." Jason snarls, and Steve squares up a second time, expecting to be rushed, when the sharp snickt! of a switchblade freezes them both.
"I think we're done here." Munson says, knife in hand.
The blade he holds is stained a deep, russet red. Crusty flakes fall off it, drifting gently down to the patio floor.
Jason's eyes boggle at it for a moment before he stands up straight.
"Now it makes sense. You're weak, Harrington, letting the Freak get his claws into you." Jason spits bloodstained saliva down at Eddie's feet. "No wonder Coach wants Billy as co-captain!"
Steve just scoffs.
"Chrissy!" Carver barks, making the poor girl jump. "Come here, we're leaving!"
Trembling, but stepping closer to Steve, she shakes her head.
"Chrissy." Jason orders again, and has the audacity to point to his feet, like a man commanding his dog.
"No." Chrissy says it quietly at first, voice a little shaky, before she seems to realize it.
She stands taller, repeats herself in a stronger voice. "No, Jason. We're done."
Jason stares at her, hard. "Chrissy, your mother told me to bring you home. So I'm going to take you home and get you away from this--demon and his lackey!"
It doesn't sound loving.
It sounds like a threat.
He steps forward, hand out to grab her arm and Steve tenses, shifting to step in front of Chrissy.
Eddie beats him there.
The word demon seems to awaken something in him, because his face is now grinning theatrically, voice dipping low in pitch.
"You heard her, Carver. She said no, and even I respect a lady's wish. So run along now," he walks two fingers in the air, from the hand not waving the knife around. "before I decide to make you and her both one of mine, just as I did Harrington!"
Jason actually crosses himself, before making one last attempt for Chrissy.
"That monster is dangerous. if you don't come with me, I'll have to alert your parents." He locks eyes with her. "For the good of your soul."
Steve snorts at that crock of shit, but Eddie lunges forward, slashing the knife in the air.
It's nowhere near Jason, but the guy leaps a foot back anyway.
"Begone!" Eddie booms, and that's all it takes for Jason and his cronies to huff and puff and stride away.
He keeps his arms in the air for a few beats more, before dropping them when it's clear Jason won't be back.
"So I'm yours, huh?" Steve drawls, as Eddie finally puts his hands down and turns to face them.
The guys scary face drops into something almost excited, and Steve can practically see the adrenaline crackling through him.
"Hey it worked. Carver's a religious nut, he goes running anytime you even hint at Satan." Eddie shrugs, grinning wildly. "Put on a little show and poof! Him and his flying monkeys melt away!"
He mimes melting and Steve stares at him for it, until he hears Chrissy laughing next to him.
Eddie grins at her and Steve is hit with the realization that it was for her benefit. To make her feel better about her psycho ex.
Something fond and familiar winds through his chest as the other boy bows.
He refuses to put a name to it.
"Did you paint your knife?" He asks instead, rubbing the hand he hit Jason with.
"What?" Eddie asks, startled out of his court jester act.
Steve nods to his hand holding the switchblade. "That's not blood, it's way too red."
"Ah." Eddie turns the grin back on, and this time it's for Steve. "Yeah, it's uh. Modeling paint. Not like Carver would know the difference."
Unspoken was the fact that he hadn't thought Steve would.
Prior to last year, he'd have been right.
Drunken cheering erupts into wild yells inside, breaking whatever spell the three of them were under.
Hargrove's voice is the loudest among them, and the dude is definitely wasted.
Steve has a feeling Hargrove also knows the difference between paint and blood, rendering Munson's knife trick useless if the dick tried to start something.
"Do you want a ride home, Chrissy?" He asks quietly.
"If it's not a bother." She says, wiping tears shed refused to let fall from her eyes.
Chrissy Cunningham was a lot stronger than people gave her credit for.
"Come on, Munson, I think it's time we all make our exit." Steve says, finding himself weirdly unwilling to leave the older teen behind.
Eddie could hold his own, but given how badly things were playing out Steve figured it was best if they all just called it a day.
"Yeah lemme just…" Munson puts his blade away, fumbling at his pockets for a moment before turning and snatching up a metal lunchbox.
"There! After you, my liege." He says, before opening the lunchbox to make it talk.
"My lady." He makes it say, pitching his voice high.
Chrissy breaks into giggles again and Steve rolls his eyes, but he claps his good hand on Eddie's shoulder as he walks past.
Eddie smiles at him, this one a bit softer than the others, eyes sparkling and Steve chooses not to read into that either.
The three of them walk together, Eddie splitting off to his van after Chrissy thanks him.

Closing shifts at Scoops Ahoy are always boring, but Robin took off early to study and nobody is coming in for ice cream at 8pm on a school night in mid-winter. Steve's alone and has been for the last forty-five minutes, with no end in sight.
He's doing tricks with his scooper, counting how many times he can twist it through his fingers without dropping it (57 so far), when the most beautiful man Steve has ever seen, walks in. He's got long dark hair that falls in perfect curls around his shoulders; wide eyes the same deep brown of fresh, dark coffee; and the most perfect plump mouth.
Steve can't move, his head going fuzzy. His eyes catch on the man's chest--visible through the black mesh tank top he's wearing-- revealing tantalizing swirls of black ink and the glint of silver bars through each nipple. The guy also has on leather pants that cling to the line of his legs like a second skin.
Jesus. Steve just realized he's bi and the physical embodiment of his wet dreams walks into the store like it's nothing. He's going to die.
The man rushes to the counter, his eyes finally falling on Steve, and it's like his feet get caught on each other for a second before he struts forward. His face melts into this heart-stopping smile, bringing out the cutest set of dimples Steve has ever seen. This is it, Steve is done for, time of death, 8:06pm.
"Ahoy, sailor," the man says with a mischievous glint in those dark eyes.
He returns the smile and somewhere, somehow, finds the words to reply, "I think that's my line."
Steve leans towards the counter, but in doing so, drops the scooper hanging from his fingers. The metallic clatter is harsh against the tile, and blood rushes to his cheek. "Whoops," he mumbles. He ducks down to retrieve it, mentally kicking himself for his clumsiness.
The man's smile only grows, and now there's a faint flush across his pale cheeks. And fuck if Steve can't help but smile right back, to let their eye contact linger.
"What can I get you?" He asks. His voice is way too low for regular customer service, and if he flutters his eyelashes too--well, that's between him and the USS Butterscotch.
"I know this is ridiculous. It's late and it's starting to snow," the man says. He leans over the counter. "But I need a strawberry shake to go."
"Strawberry shake, good choice," Steve nods. "Coming right up."
They don't stop looking at each other or smiling as he blends up the drink, and when he hands the cup over, their fingers brush, linger, both their faces staining red.
"How much do I owe you?" he asks.
Steve shakes his head. "On the house."
"You really know how to charm a guy, sailor-boy."
"Maybe I'm hoping to see you again."
"Depends," the man says. His smile widening, his dimples getting somehow deeper.
"On?"
"How good this shake is." He winks.
Steve thinks he might burst into flame before the man can taste the drink, but then the guy glances at his watch and curses. "Sorry, sweetheart, I gotta run. Been a pleasure, sailor."
And with that, he runs from the store, strawberry shake clutched in his long-fingered grasp.
Steve collapses against the counter, burying his face in his hands. He's not ever gonna recover from that.
---
Eddie's guitar is in his lap, his melted strawberry shake at his side. He can't get the guy from the ice cream shop out of his head.
Fuck, he had all that perfect hair under that silly little hat; his face dotted with cute little moles and freckles; eyes that flashed from honey to gold to green flecked hazel; and the poutiest, most perfect lips ever had Eddie seen. Not to mention how he looked bent over in those itty bitty shorts. Shit, if he isn't totally done for.
He can't stop smiling.
That is until a guitar pick hits him right in the forehead, dragging his attention back to his surroundings.
"Earth to Eddie," their manager, Chrissy, says. "You go on in ten minutes."
"Don't tell me you didn't get the stupid shake." Gareth shakes his head.
"No, I got it. Not to worry."
"Then what's up with you?" Jeff asks.
Eddie can't help the huge, stupid smile that illuminates his face.
"There was a guy," Eddie sighs.
Chrissy and his bandmates share a look. "Let me guess," Gareth says. "You walked in and he was like 'Oh, Mr. Munson. Let me get you ice cream, let me suck your dick. Oooh, you're so hot. Corroded Coffin is my favorite band.'"
"C'mon, no. I don't even think he knew who I was."
At one point, that would've bothered him. But now, after five years of hooking up with dudes who were only interested in famous Eddie Munson, he likes that the guy from the ice cream parlor seemed totally oblivious. That, when his eyes lit up with interest, it was for genuine attraction and not name recognition.
"Did you get his number?" Chrissy asks.
He slumps. "No."
His friends all groan. Another guitar pick flies at him, getting caught up in his curls.
"Well, you'll go back tomorrow. Now get your head in the game, Munson! You have a sold out stadium to play!"
---
"I'm not kidding you, Robs, he was the hottest guy I've ever seen. I didn't even know dudes could be that beautiful."
"Uh-huh," she says.
"You're not even listening." He jabs her in the ribs, making her squeak.
"Sorry, sorry," she bats his hands away. "Describe him again?"
And he does, leaving nothing out. Once he's done, Robin is gaping at him, gum about to fall out of her open mouth.
"What?"
She grabs his wrist, dragging him out of the store.
"Robin, what are you doing? We're supposed to be working!"
She doesn't answer, just hauls him to the record store down the hall.
"Was it this guy?" She asks. She's out of breath.
"What?"
"Steve! Was it him?" She gestures to a new release display and it's Steve's turn for speechlessness.
He's surrounded of images of the man from last night; on magazines, CDs, cassettes, on a couple posters hanging on display. He's with a couple of other guys, they're in a band called Corroded Coffin, but all Steve can see is deep brown eyes and plush lips, the bright dimples.
"Well?" Robin demands.
"Yeah," he nods. "That's him."
"Oh my god!" Robin screams. She grabs his arm and squeezes. "You flirted with Eddie Munson! Steve! You minx!"
"It was nothing," he blushes. "He's probably got someone already, anyway. I mean, look at him."
Robin makes a little face. "There are some rumors, but nothing serious."
"It was a nice dream," he says. He gives her a little smile. "Now, let's get back to work."
She loops her arm through his. "Whatever you say, dingus."
---
It's been a long day of slinging ice cream. Maybe Robin's revelation that the cute guy from the night before was an insanely famous rockstar is to blame, but Steve is exhausted.
"Hey, dingus!" Robin calls from the front.
"Yeah?" he mumbles.
"Some guy is here for you. He looks a lot like Eddie Munson."
She's not even finished with her sentence before Steve is vaulting back behind the counter, coming face-to-face with the man of his dreams.
Eddie's gorgeous, his face already flushed a faint pink. And just like the night before, Steve can't help but smile at the man before him, who dimples up immediately in return.
He forgets that Robin is there until she says, "Go get 'em, tiger," and snaps him in the chest with a towel.
With Robin gone, they still don't say anything for a second, both smiling and blushing and staring at each other.
"So, uh, I guess you're wondering why I'm back today."
"That's easy," Steve says. "It was the best strawberry milkshake you ever had."
Eddie laughs with his head back and Steve is stuck staring at the long lines of his throat.
"Well, it was the best, no question. Made me realize I was a fool not to ask for your number."
Somehow Steve's smile grows. He jots his name and number on a Scoops napkin, passing it to Eddie who does the same, before carefully ripping the paper in half.
"We're still on tour for the next three months, but I'll call you when I can?"
"I'm looking forward to it."
"Talk soon, sweetheart," Eddie leans into Steve's space, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
Steve still has a hand resting on the spot when Robin re-emerges.
"Oooh, you've got it sooo bad," she sing-songs.
He's so happy, he can't even bother to shush her.
---
Corroded Coffin has a new album out. It's a huge hit, number ones across the board, a fixture on MTV. It's full of heavy metal love songs, sales bolstered by the rumors that Eddie's been in a secret relationship for years.
They're at the Grammys, nominated for Best Metal Performance. The band has moved on down the red carpet, but Eddie's still answering questions, their assistant waiting with him. The interviewer asks Eddie, "There's a lot of speculation about your romantic life because of this album. There are rumors that the song 'Sailor Boy' is in reference to how you met your lover. Will you tell fans about the person you're dating, the one who inspired the album?"
"No," Eddie smiles for the camera. "But oh, do I love the way he moans," he sings a lyric of the song in question before giving the interviewer a lascivious wink, and continuing on down the carpet.
Years later, after Eddie and Steve are comfortably out and married and Corroded Coffin has cemented themselves in metal history, the video of that interview will be uploaded to YouTube.
It's obvious, now, the way Eddie and Steve, the "assistant", gravitate towards each other. How Steve flushes a pretty crimson that spreads below the collar of his shirt as Eddie sings. The way Eddie smirks at him with a raised eyebrow. The way his hand cradles the small of Steve's back as they walk away together.
It causes a frenzy online, fans compiling blog posts and videos of moments of Steve and Eddie being totally obvious about being in love before the world knew that they were.
Eventually, Steve posts a photo to the band's webpage. It's of him and Eddie at Scoops Ahoy. He's wearing his uniform, and Eddie is in a faded Metallica t-shirt and ripped jeans. They stand at the counter with their arms around each other, smiling hard, eyes locked. He captions it with, "putting the sailor boy allegations to rest."

Note
Eddie, your boyfriend, and you discussing having a threesome at some point. And then he offers you a threesome with Chrissy. You get confused like does Eddie wanna sleep with Chrissy? I just thought they were friends? But then he explains babe, Chrissy wants to sleep with YOU. She, like, is always telling him how pretty you are
You were only eager to explore the idea of a threesome with Eddie until he had a name already locked and loaded for your third party. You thought you'd scout a bar together, or rope one of your friends' friends into a one-time test that would determine whether 'the more the merrier' applied to sex. But when Eddie responds to your initial proposal with a quick nod, and a, 'Chrissy?' you start rethinking your offer.
"Uh," You flounder, stomach starting to churn, "I guess- maybe? I thought you two were just friends."
"We are," He nods, still absent-minded until his brain catches up with him. Then he's dropping his pen onto the scribbled doodle he'd been sketching, looking up at you with wide eyes pooled with understanding.
"Wait, wait, wait, not like that." He reaches for your hands, and you hear him out with dread still pooling in your stomach.
"We are just friends," He assures you, pretty brown eyes dripping with sincerity behind his long lashes, "But she likes you. She talks about you all the time. At first she was just, like, asking me how you were doing when she saw me and stuff. But then she came to my van to pick something up," He clears his throat, politely leaving the name of whatever drugs she was buying out of your conversation, "-and out of the corner of my eye I saw her slip something into her pocket. I only realized later, when you couldn't find it, that it was your lip gloss that you keep in the cupholder. And when I saw her again she was wearing it, now it's the only thing she wears."
You mull the information over a bit, deep in thought. Then, in a quiet voice, "That doesn't mean she wants to have sex with me, Eddie."
"That's... not all of it." He admits, raising a hand to scratch at his hair, "I tried to be casual about it. I said the stuff she was wearing looked like yours. And she got all red, started talking about how pretty the color was. I was starting to get a little suspicious, but I really couldn't tell if she was after me or you, y'know?"
You nod, and he squeezes your hands tighter.
"Then the next time I sold stuff to her, she asked about you again. I teased her a bit, asked if she just wanted to come over and see you. She heated up again, started smoothing out her skirt and messing with her shirt, asking if I meant 'right now?'. That's when I figured it out."
"I kinda elbowed her, y'know?" Eddie mimics the gesture, rocking his body to one side, "And I said 'Holy shit, you've got a thing for my girlfriend!'.
--
"No!" Chrissy stammers, shaking her head so that her ponytail bounces, "No, Eddie, that's- I would never do that to you!"
I don't blame you," Eddie shrugs, a smug smirk on his face, "I've got a thing for her too."
"I think she's really pretty." Chrissy admits, eyes wide and glued to her feet, "But that's- she's your girlfriend! And I know it's not fair, I- I'm really sorry, Eddie."
"Really," He laughs, knocking his shoulder into hers, "It's fine. I know you won't try anything. Hell, you're so sweet you'd pr'y come crying to me feeling guilty before you'd even made a move. You are not a cheater, I know that."
--
"Thing is," Eddie picks away a smear of nail polish that's stuck in the crease of your finger, "Now that I know, she won't shut up about you. She just talks and talks and talks, all day long, about how pretty she thinks you are, how lucky I am, and I don't really disagree."
"That's.. crazy." You shake your head, not because you're upset, but because you're surprised. You've interacted with the girl before, and she's been almost unbearably sweet, but you hadn't thought anything of it. You'd heard only good things about her, so you just assumed her saccharine demeanor was the default. You have to say, thinking about the starry-eyed girl having a puppy crush on you is making your heart beat just a bit faster.
"Well, all I'm saying is, she's a willing candidate. We'd have to break our 'no kissing' rule, though," Eddie grins, "I think she wants to give back some of that lip gloss she snatched."

Please Don't Judas Me.
Pairing: Eddie Munson x (female) Reader
Summary: Chrissy wants what she can't have, Eddie. Your best friend and long-term boyfriend. Things are growing tense in the group as you are slowly being replaced by his new best friend. Only problem was? You were here first, and he is clueless.
Warnings: No warnings, this is kinda angsty/fluff content. Unless you count a couple of curse words as needing a warning? Idk, I haven’t written fanfics in like 8 years so I’m a little rusty…
Note/Request: Requested by @authorlovers. “perhaps eddie & reader are dating and absolutely smitten but chrissy starts flirting with him and eddies confused and doesn't know what to do? but caughts himself because reader has been with him through absolutely everything and chrissy only likes him because he started getting interesting? like the hermione x ron x lavender love triangle?”
Bonus: This doesn't follow canon plot, The Upside Down and Vecna are still about and a threat, but Chrissy doesn't die in Eddie's trailer, some things are taken from the show but I reworked it for fanfic sake, please enjoy.
Word Count: 4.4k
Send me prompts to write about!
“Corroded Coffin?! Of course I remember, with a name like that, how could I forget?!” Chrissy exclaims excitedly from her spot on the bench.
Chrissy and Eddie were currently hanging out in a secluded area of the forest, he was trying to make the nervous cheerleader relax around him so he could complete the deal he was currently working on. She had gotten spooked so Eddie was trying his hardest to work his natural charm to settle her nerves and make her trust him, as much as she could trust someone selling her drugs that is.
“Earth to Lonely Wizard… Come in? Lonely Wizard, are you there? Over.” You mumbled, your voice echoing in the forest from the speaker on Eddie’s walkie talkie.
A little flustered, Eddie reached over to swipe the radio out from the seat of the bench, excusing himself politely from Chrissy and turning to wander away from her to respond to your call.
“Yeah? Uh… Can’t talk right now, I’m in the middle of a deal, is it important or can this wait?” he asked, keeping his voice hushed. It’s only when he heard you clearing your throat that he added “Over…” to the end of your response.
“A deal? Who with? Over.” voice full of intrigue, completely ignoring his question in favour of probing him with your own.
“Look, I can’t talk right now. I’ll swing by once I’m—” he starts, but you can hear Chrissy’s sweet voice in the background as she asks if he is going to be taking much longer as she had somewhere to be.
“Chrissy? The Queen of Hawkins High is buying drugs from you?” you were perplexed, voice conveying your pure shock as you couldn’t believe that this was happening.
Eddie fumbled to switch off the walkie talkie before anything else could be heard from either end, letting out a sigh before he wanders back to the bench to her. Apologising for the interruptions, he’s then sitting back down across from her, noticing how she has once again become tense and on edge.
You repeatedly tried contacting Eddie through the handset, only getting more and more annoyed that he had closed off his communication. He didn’t normally blow you off like that, he normally dropped everything to hangout with you or to let you know beforehand where he’s going. The fact he’s hanging out with a girl AND hiding it? That didn’t’ sit well with you.
“Sorry about that…” Eddie mumbled, “Okay, I can do 25% discount for the ½, $15. You’re robbing me blind here…” he laughed, glancing across at the usually peppy blonde.
“Uh… Do you…. Have anything, maybe… Stronger?” she asked, unsure of herself as she kept her eyes away from Eddie.
He looked at her as if he wasn’t really sure what to say, sure, he had other stuff, but that wasn’t usually for sale. He got by just fine with selling the weed to random people at school and around town, he didn’t just pass out pills or anything else without taking it into serious consideration. Partially for the health and wellbeing of the buyer, but also knowing the punishment and risks of getting caught with or with selling the harder stuff.
“Are you sure?” he asks, looking over her expression, not really convinced that she actually wanted to do this.
She nodded sheepishly, to which he informed her that they’d have to go back to his trailer to get it. They packed up their things and made their way to Eddie’s van, the older guy driving her to his place in almost silence as Chrissy was bubbling with nerves and he was just on edge. For all he knew, this could have been a trap to catch him and get him in trouble with the police, he couldn’t just let down his guard without second guessing it.
Shutting off the engine, they climb out of the car and slam the doors shut, Eddie lets her inside first before following in soon after her. The trailer door slammed shut and they disappeared out of sight, causing you to pull down your binoculars and huff in annoyance from where you sat in Max’s trailer with her.
“Son of a bitch!” you cuss.
Max glancing your way with an amused look on her face. She knew you hadn’t come by just to hangout. She knew you wanted to use her to spy on Eddie, and as long as you told her the details? She was game.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
You felt arms wrapping around your midsection from behind and a kiss being pressed to your shoulder whilst you’re putting your things away in your locker, it making you jump slightly, but soon relaxed at the smell of your boyfriend lingering on you. Glancing up at him with a weak smile, you say hello before focusing back on what you were doing.
“Hi, sweetheart.” Eddie says fondly, pressing a kiss to the centre of your forehead once you’d finally turned to face him.
“Why was Chrissy at your house last night? Why didn’t you call me back when you got home? Why did I have to find out via Max that you were home and that you brought another girl home?” You snapped, questions being fired off left right and centre from you. Technically the Max part wasn’t true, but he didn’t need to know that.
He looked stunned, overwhelmed at the sudden outburst from you and he struggled to find an answer he could give without someone getting in trouble. He eventually sighed and wrapped his arms around you once again, you tried to push him away, but his voice in your ear made you think twice.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled, only loud enough for you to hear, “It got weird… She wanted to buy some weed cause she’s having a hard time, but then she asked for something stronger? You know I don’t keep that shit on me so we had to go back to my place… She bought some and then took it, and she ended up reacting really badly to it so I had to make sure she didn’t die. The town already hates me, I didn’t really want people to find her body in my trailer and assume “The Freak” killed her. I should have told you but it was really late when I finally got her to sober up and take her home, I’m sorry.”
You took a couple moments to process everything he just said before nodding in understanding. He wasn’t forgiven, but you were relieved to hear it was far more innocent than you first thought. Out of context things looked really badly for Eddie, but this put a small spin on things.
“Alright.” Is all you say, the bell ringing as you’re receiving another kiss to your forehead, Eddie shuts your locker and walks you to class.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
Classes went by slower than usual today, everything felt like a drag. Maybe it was the exhaustion from the adrenaline crash you had from last night? Who knows? All you knew was that you were tired and wanted to get home. You walk back to your locker to put your last class’s stuff away when you see Eddie leaning up against his locker, Chrissy annoyingly close by to him.
They’re laughing and she’s giggling like a school girl with a crush, making you see red as you walk past. An annoyed look on your face as you stuff your things into the locker and slam it shut with a huff. Gather attention from those around you from the sudden bang of noise it caused.
Eddie closed his locker and excused himself from the conversation with Chrissy before making his way over to you, hand sliding into your own as he gives your cheeks a few soft kisses. You relaxed instantly once he was focusing back on you, catching the pouty look on Chrissy’s face as you both exchanged kisses.
“What did Pom Poms want?” You mumble between kisses, causing him to snicker at the childish choice of nickname.
“She tried inviting me to the party this weekend cause her parents are out of town, I told her I’m not much of a party person but she insisted.”
“Oh… Are you gonna go?” you frown a little.
“Hell no, it’s the night of the Hellfire Campaign, I’m not missing that for a couple warm beers shitty music.” He grinned, kissing the side of your head and giving your hand a squeeze as he lead you back to his truck so he could take you home.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
“I pick Eddie!” Chrissy squealed the next day in class, declaring the metal head as her work partner for the day.
The teacher had just told the class to buddy up as this project would be a collaborative project, so you were surprised when the most popular girl in school picked him. Not because he didn’t deserve the attention, but because he was always your partner. He’s your boyfriend, you always working together on things.
“Wait, huh?” He looked confused, surprised to see the blonde happily making her way over to his desk with her things, plopping herself down beside him.
He shot you an apologetic look as there’s nothing he could do about it, not without causing a scene. You sigh in defeat before turning to Robin who’s already watching the scene play out. She’s gesturing for you to come and work with her as Steve and Nancy already coupled up. Scooping up your things and walking to sit beside her, you thank her for picking you.
“Please, I’m just glad I’m not stuck with Snoozy Suzie, I’m sick of doing all the work and having to put her name on there for credit” she explained, causing you both to snicker before starting to plan the project.
Every now and again chrissy’s obnoxious giggle would fill the room, looking at her to see her touching and flirting with your boyfriend, him being clueless to the whole thing. You’d already snapped one pencil in anger, to which Robin grabbed her pencil case and clutched it to her chest in over dramatic shock as if to defend the rest of her pencils from your evil ways.
“Whoa there, Thor. What did my pencil ever do to you?!” Robin whined, to which you shot her an apologetic look before leaning closer to explain the situation to her.
Once she was caught up, she glanced in their direction and rolled her eyes. She could tell that Chrissy was doing the most and Eddie didn’t have a freaking clue what was going on.
“Boys are clueless, hm?” She asked
“You’re telling me.” You grumbled, sliding over your extra stick of bubblegum as a ways of calling a truce for breaking her Pencil.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
“You’ve gotta be shitting me…” you curse as you walk into the lunchroom to see Chrissy standing beside your friends as they’re sat at their usual table.
You walk closer with a confused look on your face, greeting the guys with a tone that should read ‘wtf is going on here?’ Eddie beams at the sight of you and tugs you down onto his lap, arms around your middle as he gives you a couple kisses to the cheek whilst Chrissy was talking.
The poor blonde was doing her best to seem quirky and cute, trying to keep the attention of the table on her as she needed it. The other guys one by one lost interest by either their food or something they were reading in their magazines in preparing for this weekend’s campaign. Chrissy resorted in focusing on only Eddie as he was the only one who was polite enough to ensure she didn’t feel left out.
“So, Eddie…? Are you coming to the big game this weekend?” She asks, eyes hopeful.
“I hate sports.” He says bluntly at the exact same time that you manage to mumble ‘he hates sports.’ It made you grin and caused Eddie to laugh a little at how in sync you were, anyone who knew Eddie for more than a second would know that basketball wasn’t his thing. At all.
“Oh… Really? But, it would be so cool to have you there! Plus, I’ll be leading the cheer team at during the match so—“ she continues, to which you cut her off with a tone laced with sarcasm.
“I thought you were having a party this weekend? What happened to that?”
She looked flustered, clearing her throat before scrambling for a response. It was obvious that there was no party, just another attempt at getting Eddie alone.
“Yeah, uh, that’s after! To celebrate!”
“And what if you lose? You gonna “celebrate” getting your ass kicked? Bit weird.” You could tell you were being hostile, you truly didn’t care. The guys surrounding you all looked up from whatever they were doing to pay attention, a free front row seat to the show.
“Uh… i don’t know, maybe?” She shrugs.
“I have Hellfire anyway, so I can’t. Sorry.” Eddie interjects, he could feel you getting tense in his lap so he tried to defuse the situation. He had no intention of going to the game even if he was free, he just needed a valid excuse to end this agonising conversation.
“Oh… That’s okay! Next time?” Hope back in her voice, to which Eddie just gives her an awkward smile and nod, empty promises.
You watch as she waves goodbye to him, only him, causing your eyes to roll back into the pits of hell with how peeved you were.
“Bye, Pom Poms!” You call out in annoyance.
Dustin snickered beside you, clearly everyone could see what was happening here. Everyone except Eddie, who was still as clueless as always. He just assumed you didn’t like Chrissy for whatever reason, and he didn’t want you unhappy with her lingering about.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
Eddie and Chrissy started spending more and more time together outside of school. He would (attempt) to help her with her homework whenever she feigned being unable to answer a certain question, they’d grab milkshakes at the mall after drug deals (just weed for Chrissy, she’s learnt her lesson), she even went to a couple of his shows at The Hideout.
Eddie? He was just enjoying the company of a good friend, he was polite and respectful and kept her at an arm’s length. Chrissy, though? She was another story. She would be overly flirty, giving him nicknames and complimenting him, trying to get involved in every aspect of his life. She was trying to take your place.
You knew that, she knew that, but no one spoke a word of it. At this point she was one of Eddie’s most valued customers, as much as it killed you, you didn’t want to ruin that for him cause he needed the money. So you swallowed your pride and let them hangout as long as there were boundaries. These boundaries hadn’t been discussed, they were merely in your head. You’d soon make it known if things went too far for your liking…
That day? It came quicker than hoped. You hoped she would get bored and find someone else to spend all her free time with. Chrissy and Jason were always breaking up and getting back together again, you thought it would only be a few days before they were smooching in the hallway against the lockers. Leaving Eddie alone, hopefully.
You were just finishing up reading in the library, studying for your English test that’s coming up next week. Eddie was hosting Hellfire and it was due to end at any moment, so you packed up your things and started walking through the school down towards the club. This was routine for you now, he’d play games with the kids and then you’d wait for him, and he would drive you all home together to make sure everyone got home safe afterwards.
Upon getting to the door to the club, you saw that Chrissy was sat on the floor waiting. You halted, taken aback from the sight of the squeaky clean teenager waiting outside the Dungeons and Dragons room. None of the words of that sentence went together in your head, she shouldn’t be here.
“What are you doing here?” You ask, attempting to seem polite so you don’t cause friction, she was now a good friend of Eddie’s after all.
“Oh, I’m waiting for Eddie! I was hoping he would be okay to give me a ride home once he’s done!” She said, voice far too cheery for your liking.
“He can’t, he’s driving the kids home and then we’re getting burgers together.” You state, knowing that there would technically be enough room in the van, but you didn’t want her to tag along. “Shouldn’t you be at the game anyway? Thought you had to do that tonight? Or was it your fake party? Or some other ruse to get him alone?” Your voice sounding more pissed with each passing minute.
“Oh; uh. It was… postponed?” She questions, spurting out the first thing that came to her mind as to why she wasn’t at the various hangout suggestions she had mentioned.
“All of them? What bad luck…” your tone soaking in sarcasm, you didn’t buy a single letter of her bullshit. “Just go home, Chrissy.”
You were growing tired of her games. It was hard enough dealing with her via proxy as a friend of Eddie’s, you didn’t want to deal with her fully mingling in your circle.
“Do you have a problem with me?” She questioned.
You stayed silent, staring in her direction whilst having an internal debate on whether to give you a piece of your mind or not.
“No, of course I don’t. Of course I don’t have a problem with you hanging off the arm of my boyfriend and trying to get him alone, doing drug deals and taking him for milkshakes, of course I’m totally fine with you trying to worm your way in and get affection, nope.” If looks could kill, Chrissy would be six feet under right now. Your voice made it abundantly clear that you did indeed have a problem.
“We’re just friends!” She defends, to which you scoff.
“Yeah, cause Dustin and his other friends also spend time calling him pretty and twirling his hair, hm? His other friends try and hold his hand when he’s walking beside them, hm?”
She was speechless, red in the face and speechless. She didn’t realise you’d been watching her like a hawk, seeing every little motion and gesture these past couple weeks as she grew closer to YOUR boyfriend.
“I won’t tell you again, Chrissy. Go. Home.” Your voice stern this time, watching as she stood up. You hoped she would have just taken off running and saved you the trouble, you didn’t expect her to get up in your face a little.
“Look, Eddie is my best friend! We’re going to hangout and if you wanna continue to date him, you better deal with it!” Chrissy snapped, your eyes widened and voice darkened.
“Excuse me?”
She rolled her eyes, nothing to say.
“First of all, Princess. Eddie has been my boyfriend far longer than he’s been your friend, okay? So actually, I don’t have to deal with anything. If I tell him how angry and uncomfortable you make me, if I really let him know how I truly feel, you’d be gone. I only keep my mouth shut so I don’t make him choose between us, he’s your friend and im not trying to get in the way of that. But if I told him how much you piss me off, you’d be gone quicker than Jason left you for Tiffany.”
Chrissy gasps in surprise that you’d sink that low to say such a hurtful thing. It was kinda out of line, but right now? You didn’t care.
“Secondly, that boy has a heart of gold but he’s not good at picking up signals. He thinks you’ve just been friendly this whole time, but I see the way you look at him and I know you’re trying to get in his pants. He’s not interested in you, he’s perfectly happy with me. He doesn’t even know you like him like that, so I’d take this as an opportunity to back off and muffle any little crush you have on him, cause it’s never going to happen.”
You step closer to her, which immediately she shrinks in on herself, not quite as tough as she made herself out to be moments ago.
“And thirdly? Get up in my face like that again, or try and tell me what I can and cannot do with MY boyfriend? and I’ll make Vecna look like a god damn puppy, you hear me?” Your voice hushed, it wasn’t just a threat.
Before she could answer or even acknowledge you, the sound of a squeaky door pulled you both from the heat of the moment. Both of your heads snap towards the sound and see Eddie folding his arms and holding them to his chest whilst he glanced between you both.
“Do we have a problem?” he asks. You hadn’t realised how loud both of you had gotten, to the point where it interrupted the game they were playing inside. Eddie had shrugged it off a couple times, but it became too distracting so he had to check it out for himself. Over his shoulder you could see the kids dressed up in various little outfits, wide eyed and clearly focusing on nothing but what the adults were yelling about outside.
“N-No” Chrissy mumbled, shaking her head and looking down to the floor, red faced.
“Jury’s still out on that one.” You grump, eyes soon locked back on the nervous blonde, eyes burning a hole into her head.
“Y/N, go sit with Erica for a second…” glaring at Chrissy whilst you slip into the room, going to sit with the kids as the door shuts behind you. Leaving Chrissy and Eddie face to face to talk, swatting the arms of the kids and hushing them so you could hear what was being said.
Not long after, Eddie returns to the room and thankfully? He was alone. His face holding an expression that says “we’ll talk later.” Sitting back at the head of the table, he clears his throat and resume the campaign, you sit in silence the whole time, glancing between Eddie and the kids.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
Erica and Lucas were the last stop, watching as the kids disappear safely inside of their home with a small wave befor Eddie pulls out of their driveway and makes his way back home. The ride was silent, awkward. You felt like you were in trouble even though you’d done nothing wrong. Nothing serious, at least.
Pulling up to his trailer, you both get out of the car and walk inside, taking off your shoes and jacket whilst Eddie locks up and grabs himself a beer to unwind with on the couch.
“You’re such a brat, you know?” He starts, catching you off guard, before you’ve got a chance to defend yourself, he continues. “But that’s why I love you… I’m sorry.”
Looking more confused than ever, you didn’t know what’s happening. Why was he apologising? Why was he calling you a name? Huh?
“For Chrissy….” He could see the look on your face and decided to provide context, setting down his beer to run a hand through his own curly hair as he spoke. “Listen… She needed a friend, I became that, you know? She was terrified, to the point of asking for pills because the shit with Vecna freaked her out so bad. She couldn’t go home or tell anyone cause no one believed her, I just wanted to make her feel better, you know? Steve and Dustin were on my ass about her being around cause they said she liked me and said you hated her. I blew them off cause it sounded like bullshit, I’m just an idiot aren’t I?”
You watch as he sighs and puts his face in his hands, shaking your head as you wander closer to him.
“A… cute idiot?” You offer with a half hearted tone, taking his hands and holding them in your own as he looks up at you with a sad smile.
“I just… I don’t know. I’m just so smitten with you that it doesn’t even cross my mind that anyone else could be a person of interest; you know? I saw her as a friend and assumed she did the same for me. So for weeks I’ve been sending her mixed signals and hurting you in the process, I’m sorry, sweetheart,” he sighs.
“It’s okay, I know you didn’t do it on purpose. I get really jealous easily and she was one stop away from throwing herself at you. I just couldn’t take it anymore.” You pout.
Bringing you into his lap, his arms wrap around your middle and he gives you a few soft kisses as you straddle him. Hands resting on his cheeks so your thumbs can glide against his cheekbones. Getting lost in his big brown eyes as your noses bump together, falling into the same heartbeat rhythm as you talk.
“She’s gone, don’t worry. I told her that I’m not going to jeopardise what we have when she makes you so uncomfortable. Plus she clearly doesn’t respect you if she’s been chasing me this whole time, and I don’t respect anyone who disrespects you. Okay?”
Nodding in understanding, he’s then bringing you down and giving you one last kiss against your pouty lips.
“Okay… Thank you.” You mumble.
You fall against his chest and end up in a warm bundle of limbs, tangled together in a protective and comforting manner. The both of you keeping the other soothed, you playing with his hair and him stroking your back fondly. A snort from Eddie snaps you out of your thoughts.
“Hm?” You mumble into his shoulder.
“‘I’ll make Vecna look like a puppy’” he says, doing his best impression of you before he cracks up laughing.
You groan, red cheeked and hiding in the curve of his neck, somewhat embarrassed by how cheesy your line was earlier, “shut uuuuup” you whine, to which he just giggles, squeezes you closer and kisses the top of your head.
“That’s never gonna happen, sweetheart.”

warnings p in v sex, threesome, pussy eating, fingering, use of a toy (dildo), cum swallowing, pure filth, cream pie, raunchy smut and pure filth, unprotected & protected sex, blowjob, handjob, mentions of cheating. (not Eddie or reader + a big fuck you to Jason Carver).
backstory: Eddie, Chrissy, and reader are all college age. Chrissy is 20, reader and Eddie 22. Its the year 1988 and Chrissy is back in town from college. Reader lives with Eddie and he is still Chrissy's drug dealer. Chrissy didnt die in 1986 and its slightly AU. The fruity four defeated Vecna in 1986 along with Eleven and Max except Vecna comes back years later.
Synopsis: You were former friends with Chrissy Cunningham. One day she showed up to visit the trailer park to buy some Ketamine from Eddie. What started as a rocky evening led to a night none of you could ever forget. (A little re-imagining at the end and Chrissy does not die in this Stranger Things universe).
Eddie was your boyfriend and your best friend. After being long-term friends for the first three years of high school, you began dating. Your former best friend Chrissy had joined the popular crowd, and she became the head cheerleader. You were not on the best terms with her anymore, but had been best friends for about 7 years and had known each other since elementary school. There was a time when you could tell her anything and you were practically inseparable. Some days you missed her a lot, but it was great that you had Eddie. Even though you were both outcasts, you still really understood each other and had a lot of fun together, no matter what you did. Just sitting next to him and listening to heavy metal music was good enough for you. He was the person you told all of your secrets to now that Chrissy was a part of your past since 11th grade.
Chrissy needed to buy some ketamine, and she knew Eddie had the goods. After she arrived at his trailer and they exchanged pleasantries, they made the deal and she came inside to pay for them. You and Eddie had been rolling joints, and you felt all relaxed and mellowed out. You had just had a shower together, and it was great to just get comfortable on the couch with him and listen to heavy metal. It was a great time until she showed up, at least. She said hi to you and you nodded as you gave a very vague response to her. Things were awkward. After she sat down, you pulled him in close to you. He offered Chrissy the joint, and she accepted. As it was passed around, you felt so good and relaxed. It was already the second joint you had shared with him that day and it was just what you needed. After some silence ensued, you broke it by speaking up first.
"So why did you come here, Chrissy?"
"I needed to make a deal with Eddie. I don't know why you care, though it's just business. I haven't even talked to you in years now," she replied with simply a shrug of her shoulders.
This was news to you because Eddie had promised you a date night, just the two of you. He knew you had a falling out with her, just not the details, but the tension was so thick in the room that it could be cut with a knife.
"I'm just surprised you would come over to Eddie's place with him being a social outcast and everything. I guess you didn't expect me to be here even though practically the whole town knows we are dating," you told her with a roll of your eyes.
"Look, if this is too uncomfortable for you, then I'll just leave. I'll make it simple for you."
She got up, and Eddie stopped her by holding her back.
"Wait, don't go. We can figure this out," Eddie told her in a promising tone.
"Yeah, it's no big deal. Just stay then. It doesn't matter, I guess. Whatever," you responded as you flicked the ash from the joint and passed it over to Eddie again.
"Fine. I guess I will stay for 5 more minutes."
She sat back down with her legs crossed and her arms crossed around her chest. Eddie looked over at you and mouthed, 'Calm down.' You were glad he was there to intervene, and even though you were pretty skeptical about Chrissy staying, you were glad that a fight hadn't ensued. He always kept cool and level-headed. You secretly wondered if she had bought drugs from him before. You were a bit jealous, but also had some pretty strong feelings for Chrissy. That was over now, or so you thought. Eddie was yours and you trusted him. You knew nothing could come between the two of you. You were the biggest supporter of his band Corroded Coffin, and you shared a bond with him that neither of you had with anyone else.
"She wasn't supposed to come over until tomorrow. You have every right to be pissed off, though," he explained before taking another drag of the joint.
"Just forget it. I'll put on some music for us," you told them as you got up and turned on the radio. The song playing was PainKiller by Judas Priest. It was one of Eddie's favorites. He started nodding along to the song as you returned to the couch and sat on his lap, hoping to make her jealous.
It felt like impending doom some days because Hawkins had the reputation of being a very dismal town with a dark past and history. Victor and Henry Creel were the town outcasts and their family was the town's legends, but for all the wrong reasons. Life was random, but you cherished it and even though it was full of loss sometimes, you would not give up on Eddie and you hoped you could repair the damaged friendship you had with Chrissy. Secretly, you thought she felt the same. Having her around sure was interesting. Eddie felt sometimes like he couldn't deal with the big jumble of thoughts constantly going through his head, and if Vecna's curse was real, he felt he was screwed. Instead of dwelling on that, he planned to make the most of each day and do what he could to make it through. With you by his side, things were so much more bearable. With Chrissy having a hectic and rough home life, she vowed to not let it fully control her. Getting better was a slow process for her, but she was taking it a little at a time and day by day.
When you used to have sleepovers with Chrissy, you would always share a bed. Her room was fully decked out in pink shades, but for you, it was just the opposite. You loved horror movies and metal instead of all girly things, but your friendship still worked just like opposites attract. Having so much time with her and sleeping next to each other made your feelings for her grow. Even though she was just your friend, your feelings became deeper for her, but you never told her. Occasionally, you would practice kissing each other and you felt even more attracted to her because of it. Getting popular changed her a bit, and you drifted your separate ways the summer after tenth grade.
Recently Chrissy had been breaking up off and on with her long-time boyfriend Jason Carver because of stupid little fights and you wanted to rub it in her face just how much you loved Eddie. Chrissy was taking a drag and her eyes looked hazy. Maybe once she got high enough, she would lighten up and stop being such a drag. As she passed the joint to him, their fingers brushed together but you pretended not to notice. You had an idea at that moment to lighten the mood. You whispered into Eddie's ear and he nodded, then took off his denim vest of Dio handing it to you and you put it on. The next song was Looks that Kill by Motley Crue, and it was one of your favorites. Chrissy was staring at you with a genuine look of interest on her face. You gave Eddie a lap dance as the song led into the chorus. He had the biggest smile on his face and he occasionally looked over at Chrissy, who was weakly smiling and even blushing a little and giggling. You gave Eddie some kisses on his neck as you gave him the dance and as you turned around on his lap grinding on him, you threw your head back onto his shoulder and his hands caressed your body. When the song was over and a commercial came onto the radio, he gave you another kiss. The lap dance was something you had a lot of fun doing and with her around you were shocked you could be as into it as you were instead of shy. He blew some smoke into your mouth and then handed you the joint as another song came on.
"You doing okay over there, Chrissy?" He asked her curiously after a brief pause.
"Yeah, I'm great. I could go for a bottle of water."
"Sure. I was thinking about getting a beer for myself. Be right back. Anything for you, m'lady?" He asked as he turned back to you.
"Just some water, please. Thanks."
Eddie kissed you on the temple and tapped your ass playfully. You moved closer to Chrissy and after taking another drag of the joint; you passed it to her.
"So what's on your mind?" Chrissy asked interestedly.
"I actually can't believe I did that with you here. It's so unlike me."
"It was great, though. I wish I had your confidence. Look, I'm sorry we aren't friends now, but I would like to give our friendship another chance."
"I would like that if you are serious. I mean, why not? Let's give it another, try I guess."
You both smiled, and you leaned in closer to her. It might've just been the weed talking, but you were feeling a strong attraction toward her. Before either of you could say another word you gave her a small kiss on the lips.
"Do it again," she told you with a raise of her brows and a mischievous look on her face, looking disappointed at how quick the kiss was. If it wasn't for the drugs you probably wouldn't be doing this but it happened and there was no going back. Suddenly she was reminded of the times you had practiced kissing each other and she was craving more from you.
"I thought you were back with Jason though…"
"Yeah well, it's not going so well I think I'm going to break up with him again. I saw him kissing another girl. Also, I found a used bra and a pair of panties in the glove compartment of his car. I found the key even though he had it locked."
Jason could seriously go get fucked you thought to yourself. No one deserved that ever. Not even Chrissy. Especially not Chrissy. You kissed her again and she deepened it, pulling you even closer to her. Only moments later Eddie walked in with his beer along with two bottles of water and a surprised but pleased look on his face. Seemingly, he was quite interested in the scene that was happening right in front of him but he also was a bit perplexed that you two went from arguing to kissing so quickly. It's not that he minded in the slightest. You had talked to him before about if the opportunity arose and you were with another person, particularly another girl you liked, it was okay to kiss.
"Didn't mean to interrupt…"
You and Chrissy broke the kiss, only now realizing he was there again.
"It's fine Eddie. Come sit down. I'm sure Chrissy wants her water."
He walked over to the couch, sat down again and handed Chrissy her water and you the other water.
"I guess we put on a sort of a show for you, huh?" You asked him as you took his hand in yours, fingers now entwined.
He took a big swig from his beer and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
"I loved it, though. What guy could be upset with his girlfriend for kissing another girl?"
You were so turned on at that moment and you gave him a deep, passionate kiss and then looked back over at Chrissy. With the joint now finished and the 3 of you feeling pretty buzzed, a smirk formed on your lips. Something told you that things were about to get much more interesting. You and Chrissy drank some of your water then set it aside.
"I've never really done something like this before. I'm having so much fun, though," Chrissy admitted.
"Good. I'm glad. Tonight has been something else, hasn't it?" You asked as you wrapped your arms around Eddie's shoulders pulling him in even closer to you.
"Now it's my turn to give you a lap dance Y/N," Chrissy told you before taking a chug of her beer for extra confidence.
The song on the radio was Talk Dirty to Me by Poison. You moved off Eddie's lap and sat down next to him. Chrissy stood up and danced on your lap. Eddie watched with fascination as she moved and grinded on you with her short cheerleading skirt on. He practically guzzled his beer while he got into the moment. Her lips grazed yours as she teased you and pulled away. She was giving you such a hot lap dance, and you were having the time of your life. As she danced your eyes stayed focused on hers and when the song was over she gave you another kiss.
"Let's take this to the bedroom," you offered up as a suggestion, wanting to take things further with Chrissy and Eddie.
"Definitely. I thought you'd never ask," Chrissy responded as Eddie got up and you, as well as Chrissy followed him into his room.
You felt excited about all the possibilities and what could happen that night with Eddie and Chrissy. You liked her and it was great. She liked you too.
You went up to Chrissy and wrapped your arms around her from behind and kissed her neck as you heard her soft whimpering. You pushed her hair back from her face and caressed her chest, causing her to gasp. You removed her top and her skirt, then let her undress you down to your panties.
"Now tell me what you want to do with me. I want to know your innermost thoughts and darkest desires," you whispered to her.
"I want to show you how much I like you. I want to pleasure you."
"Of course, but first, let's make Eddie feel good."
She nodded in agreement and you kissed her deeply and passionately with tangled tongues. Once the kiss broke you pulled Eddie close into you and kissed him then watched as they kissed each other. Getting down on your knees on the carpet, you undid his pants and unzipped them. Chrissy got down next to you and watched eagerly with wide eyes as you removed his thick and perfect cock from the inner confines of his boxers. As you grabbed her by the jaw and looked into her eyes you said,
"Right now Chrissy, I want to see how well you can suck cock."
"Eddie, you are so big. I want to feel you down my throat," she told him in a soft voice.
He looked down at both of you with lust in his eyes. He wanted to feel both of your mouths so badly.
"Fuck him with your mouth first. I want for you to start."
She caressed the tip of his cock then his shaft and kissed every inch of his length before she wrapped her mouth around the head taking him into her mouth little by little as she began to caress and cradle his balls and rub the part of his shaft she hadn't yet reached with her mouth. She looked so hot as she sucked, deep and even deeper until she established a steady rhythm on his length. The lewd sucking sounds could be heard as she kept going with eager enthusiasm and you stroked his balls.
"Good girl, now let me get a chance."
She popped off his cock, and you met her lips in a wet and sloppy kiss with tangling tongues. Eddie watched both of you as a huge grin was plastered on his face. You took him into your mouth with pleasure quickly reaching his pubic bone with your nose and began to choke and gag a little on his cock but just at first until you fully adjusted to his length. He rocked his hips back and forth as you moved your mouth loving the feeling of the very back of your throat. Chrissy watched with great interest as you sucked him off like a pro and he pulled your hair back with one hand while his other hand rested on his hip.
"Such a good girl for me putting that mouth to good use. Deep throating me like a porn star," he groaned as he closed his eyes for just a moment.
You looked up at him and fluttered your lashes as you kept on sucking him off with strands of drool and pre-cum running down your mouth and chin. Soon he pushed you off his cock and pulled you up with a firm grip of your hair to meet your lips in a kiss. Your tongues moved with passion as you kissed him back hard.
"I want to watch as you ladies please each other, then I'll join in."
He sat down in a nearby chair and you took that as your signal to guide Chrissy to the bed and push her down on it. Once you removed your clothes except for your underwear, you leaned down close to her and caressed her chest as you asked her.
"What did you promise me about wanting to give me pleasure?"
"I want to explore your body and pleasure you. I haven't done this with another girl before," she admitted a bit excitedly, sounding full of longing and yearning for a chance to get to do this with you. She wanted you to be the first girl she had ever made love to and as far as she was concerned, Jason was now history.
"Well, you can please me then. I would love that."
You laid down on the bed as she straddled your thighs, kissed you from your neck down to your collarbone, chest, and stomach, and then parted your thighs. You opened your legs wide for her as she kissed and licked down towards your inner thighs and removed your panties with her teeth as Eddie watched his cock twitching in his pants his beer now gone.
"This is nice but I want your tongue," you commanded firmly.
Chrissy looked at you like you were the girl of her dreams and you wanted to give her the best night of her life. With Eddie there, you knew things would be even better. The thought of sharing Eddie with anyone wasn't something you thought would happen or with Chrissy of all people, but now that it was you knew you would make the most out of the experience. The weed heightened the feelings you were experiencing, and Chrissy looked and smelled so beautiful.
When her tongue and fingers made contact with your clit, you wondered if she hadn't done this before because she knew exactly how to please you. You looked over at Eddie with a big grin on your face and he looked back at you with lust in his eyes and a wicked smile on his face his cock still as rock hard as ever.
She was fairly good at pleasing you and being a girl she knew what your sensitive spots were, where to put her tongue, and just how to finger you. You were so wet already and her tongue and fingers brought you closer than ever to reaching your first orgasm of the night. You tugged on her hair and told her when to go slower and when to apply more pressure. She read the signals well and she looked deeply into your eyes as you moaned and whimpered for her. She was encouraged only more to please you even better. It was so hot to watch her be submissive like this and give you what you needed and craved. Eddie's eyes were on the two of you never daring to look anywhere else worried about missing even a single second of her pleasing you or the faces you were making. As she tongue-fucked you, you caught glances at Eddie and caressed your breasts wanting to put on a show for him. The lewd moans and noises coming from your mouth were making his cock already wet with precum and he was fully erect again. Porn had nothing on this sight in front of him. Seeing you and Chrissy please each other was the hottest thing he could ever watch.
"That's so fuckin good, baby girl," you mewled as she ate you out like you were a four-course meal and you tugged even harder on her ponytail.
Eddie couldn't take it any longer and came over to the bed fully naked now and harder than ever as Chrissy had you on the verge of your release. He fondled and caressed your breasts and nipples as she added another finger and you writhed underneath her, your fingers clenching the sheets.
"Gonna cum- fuck!" You cried out as you began to cum in her mouth.
She pulled away slowly, licking her lips, then kissed Eddie. You got up and pushed him down onto the bed as you straddled his lap then lowered yourself down onto his erect cock. Chrissy was kneeling next to you and caressing your breasts as you began to ride him. His big cock stretched you out so fully and it felt incredible.
"That's my girl taking her daddy's cock just like that. Fuck! So hot," he groaned.
You could never get enough of him, and her touch made the experience even hotter than it would be if it were just you and him. Her caresses felt wonderful. Eddie grunted underneath you and spanked your ass as he bounced you up and down on his cock. As you rode him and your breasts bounced, your moans grew louder.
"Touch me, Chrissy. Fuck me with your fingers."
She obeyed your command almost instantly and moved her fingers down to your wet clit and rubbed circles over it, wanting to make you feel amazing. You pulled her in deeply for a kiss as you rode him and he spanked your ass.
"Fuck, that's so hot just like that Kiss her," he growled almost animalistically.
He felt so fuckin turned on and hard inside of you as you rode him and he bucked his hips even further into you. He never thought that you and Chrissy kissing and being together would turn him on but here he was and you as well as your former best friend, were giving each other carnal delight and pleasure.
As she groaned against your mouth and you rode your boyfriend's cock, you moaned loudly and coated him with your juices. He bucked his hips up into you a bit forcefully as he pinched your nipples and Chrissy finger-fucked you with three of her fingers, making you feel so fuckin' hot and you felt another orgasm approaching you quickly. As you looked at Eddie and into his brown doe-eyes and back over at Chrissy's blue ones, you felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
You pulled her in for a kiss and crashed your lips together, feeling so wet from her touch, Eddie's cock, and his fingers working against your nipples. Your cries grew louder and the bed squeaked even louder as you fucked him and kissed her.
"Fuck yes, cum all over my cock just like that," he groaned as he felt your juices coat his shaft.
Chrissy licked her fingers greedily, loving your taste, then met his lips in a kiss so he could taste you from her lips. You got off him and whispered into her ear, "You want to ride his cock, right? Now is the perfect time for that."
She blushed slightly, and you wasted no time reaching into the bedside drawer to grab the box of condoms. You eagerly rolled the condom onto his cock as he looked at you, practically out of breath. His chocolate button eyes were wide with wonder as he realized what you were up to.
"Are you sure about this, baby?"
"Yes. I want to see her ride your cock. It would be the hottest thing."
Once she removed the rest of her clothes, you guided Chrissy onto him slowly, inch by agonizing inch. As she took him fully, you rubbed her clit and guided her along as she began to bounce up and down on his thick length. He was so big and girthy and you watched with fascination and delight as you fingered her and yourself. Her moans became louder as she got into the rhythm of it all. As he fucked up into her wet and tight pussy, you kissed her and Eddie grabbed her hips to help her bounce on his cock to his liking at the perfect tempo and pace.
"Fuck, she is so tight. Fuck!" He gasped as she rode him with passion and elicited loud moans as she fucked him.
Getting your favorite toy out of the bedside table, which was a clear glass dildo with a heart shape at one end, you use it on your clit, moving it over your sensitive bud and watching as they fucked each other hard and rough. The sounds they were making and the wet sound of skin slapping against skin were so erotic and it made you move the toy even faster inside of your pussy.
"Now switch and get on top of her," you commanded, as she seemed to be nearing her release.
Chrissy popped off his cock and switched positions with him. He wasted no time ramming right back into her wet pussy as he wrapped her legs around his waist. His thrusts became more sloppy as he was getting closer to chasing his high and you fingered her clit as he fucked in and out of her and made wet, squelching noises. It was one of the hottest and filthiest things you had ever seen before. You were dripping onto the toy now and nearing overstimulation, but kept going as you watched them fuck. They both watched you and whined with pleasure as you used the toy on yourself. You loved to see her tits bounce as he fucked her, and it was so hot to see them pleasing each other like this.
Hearing Eddie's groans was like music to your ears. Seeing him being pleased like this made you feel so hot.
"Gonna cum- Eddie," she whined as she felt like her orgasm was going to wash over her at any moment now.
"Me too, Chrissy," he told her as he thrust his hips into her.
"Cum on our chests," you groaned as you set the toy aside on the bedside table.
A low growl escaped Eddie's lips, and Chrissy moaned louder now that her orgasm washed over her.
"Yes, Eddie! I'm cumming!" She cried out. After she had ridden out her high, he pulled out and removed the condom, quickly tossing it aside and into the trash.
You watched with delight as you were now down on your knees next to the bed.
Chrissy went over to you and knelt as well, kissing you as Eddie muttered 'oh fuck' and gave his cock several more thrusts before spilling all over your chest and hers. You helped clean each other up and collapsed together on his bed. Once you had all come down from your highs and caught your breath, everyone cuddled next to each other, feeling so satisfied from the experience.
"Well that was pretty wonderful. I'm just so glad we were able to make up," Chrissy mused as she rested in between you and Eddie.
"Just stay with us. Stay the night," you suggested. Eddie nodded in agreement.
"I will. I'm glad I'm here. Tonight was the best."
"You're still dating Jason, though, aren't you?" He asked with big doe-like eyes.
It wasn't like Chrissy to cheat, but being with you and Eddie just felt so right, and Jason did cheat first after all.
"Yeah, about that don't think that was working out too well. It was mainly long distance anyway."
"Breakup with him and go out with us. The more the merrier," you suggested, sounding as serious as you could.
"And more mind-blowing sex? I mean, why not? I enjoy being around both of you."
"Then it's settled. You are ours," he told her as he wrapped one arm around her and the other around you.
You pulled her in for another long and lingering kiss. Tonight was pretty wonderful, and it was all thanks to them. Eddie and Chrissy both understood you so well and the sex was amazing. Most of all, you loved the way you were when you were around them. What started as a friendship and then turned into a crush before it turned into enemies was now a friend with benefits and possibly more- but who knew where things would go from here? You were finally at a good place with Chrissy Cunningham and loved your boyfriend more than ever- you wouldn't want it any other way. That same weekend, Chrissy broke up with Jason and exposed him for the creepy cheater that he was. What started as revenge sex was turning out to be something even more.
Weeks later Vecna was taken down again and with Chrissy on your side, you, Eddie, and your best friends Robin, Nancy, and Steve accompanied by Dustin, Max, and Eleven destroyed FOREVER what once was the upside down.
3 months later
Every weekend at the hideout you and Chrissy were there for Eddie and cheering him on front row and center. He loved to see you both get into the show and dance together. It was quite sexy to him seeing you and Chrissy grind on each other. Other people might've noticed, but all of your attention was on them. That night was very special though, because you and Chrissy now had the coolest and best outfits of anyone else there. She helped you to make Hellfire Club cheerleader uniforms that were white and black with the Hellfire Club lettering and the logo of the demon on them. Eddie got so turned on by seeing the uniforms. Once the show ended, you all went backstage and had a little fun of your own. You stripped off her uniform first but left the short skirt on. She did the same for you and you were devouring each other in front of him 69'ing as he got off by stroking himself and licking his lips. It was the hottest thing he had ever seen in his life. When he couldn't take it any longer, he got up and pounded into you, taking you from behind, pulling your hair as Chrissy watched, then switched and fucked her going between your pussy and hers as you made out with her. He spanked you both and his thrusts got even more rough and forceful, but he called you both his pretty princesses. Things were getting pretty serious and not just with Eddie, but with Chrissy, too. That night was filled with so much euphoria, pleasure, and ecstasy. It was pretty hot and heavy with Chrissy for a while and throughout another year of college. After you remained friends but went your separate ways when she found a girl she wanted to date exclusively. From then on you and Eddie only grew closer and even though you found other partners with him, nothing matched the chemistry and mind-blowing sex you had with Chrissy until Steve came around. But that's another story for another time.

It was the day of the big championship game. The entire school, or at least most of it, was stoked. Hawkins High hadn’t won a championship in ages, but this year was going to be different. The basketball team was amazing, the band was awesome, and the cheerleaders were impeccable. You were biased though, being a cheerleader yourself. But you knew how hard you and the rest of the cheer squad had worked on all the routines and you just had a good feeling about this game.
While you may have been in high spirits, your best friend Chrissy Cunningham wasn’t doing very well. She had been telling you for the past few days how bad she had been feeling and the horrible headaches she was getting. You knew she was taking tylenols but they weren’t helping. And nothing would help with her nightmares. You offered to spend the night with her whenever they first began but she declined, not wanting to bother you. You really didn’t mind, you just wanted your friend to be okay.
“Chrissy?” you asked, waiting outside the bathroom stall. You were walking down the hall with her when she rushed into the bathroom and promptly locked herself in a stall. She didn’t answer but you could hear her gagging and sniffling. The door to the bathroom opened and you saw a redhead walk into the bathroom with headphones around her neck. You had seen her around before but couldn’t remember her name. You smiled awkwardly at her while Chrissy continued to barf in the stall.
“Is she okay?” the redhead asked.
“Um- no not really,” you said.
You heard some shuffling in the stall and then heard Chrissy say, “Who is it?”
You looked at the girl and waited for her to say her name. “Oh it’s- it’s Max. Max Mayfield.”
Max. You had heard of her before. She was Billy Hargroves little sister. You didn’t know him very well, just what everyone said about him and how he died in the mall fire last year.
Chrissy heard Max say what her name was, and you guessed that Chrissy didn’t care since she didn’t reply. Or at least you thought she wasn’t but after a very guttural sounding puke she said, “Could you please leave?”
You looked at Max expectantly. Usually you wouldn’t tell people to leave the bathroom but you knew your friend was struggling and probably embarrassed. She nodded and started walking out the door and you followed. “I’m going to get some water Chrissy, okay? I’ll be back in a minute.”
You and Max walked out into the hall. She lingered for a second and appeared like she wanted to ask you something. She didn’t though, and instead just gave you a small smile and walked off. You went to the vending machine down the hallway and stuck some quarters in it. Clink, clink, clink. They fell to the bottom of the slot. You pressed C1 for water and watched as the metal swirls let the bottle drop down to the opening at the bottom of the vending machine. You pushed open the piece to get the water and started heading back to the bathroom.
It was silent. You tilted yourself down just a little and saw that Chrissy was still in the stall, but she wasn’t moving or making any noise. “Chrissy?” you asked.
No answer. “Chrissy?” You shifted your weight back and forth between your feet. “Chrissy, are you okay in there?” you repeated one more time. Still no answer. You checked to make sure the other stalls were empty before going into the stall next to hers and getting on your hands and knees. The floor was absolutely disgusting but that didn’t matter right then. You crawled under the stall and into Chrissy’s.
She was sitting there, totally unmoving other than her eyes. Her eyelids were twitching and all you could see was the white part of her eyeballs. “Chrissy!” you exclaimed. You waved your hand in front of her face but she didn’t seem aware, or present at all. You grabbed a hold of her shoulders and shook her. You were starting to panic. In a situation like that you had no idea what to do. Was she having a seizure? Was she in shock? You had no idea.
“Chrissy! Chrissy please,” you pleaded. “Come on, come on, say something! It’s okay! I’m here.”
Suddenly she gasped, and her eyes went back to normal. She was shaking all over and her eyes darted around like crazy.
“Oh Chrissy,” you said, wrapping your arms around her. “What happened? Are you okay?”
“I- I don’t know what that was…” she trembled. “I was here but it was different and…”
“Do you need to go home? I can take you to the nurse. Or we can just skip. I’ll drive you.”
She shook her head. “No, no. I’ll be fine. I have to talk to the guidance counselor later anyways and today is the big game. I can’t miss it.”
You looked at her for a moment, thinking about protesting but you knew it would be of no use. Chrissy wouldn’t miss the game for anything. Jason, her boyfriend and captain of the basketball team, would be really disappointed if she didn’t come.
“Okay. Just make sure that you tell her about what happened. And here, drink this water.” You handed her the water and waited for her to take a few sips.
She knew you were still worried just by the way you were staring at her. Your eyebrows were creased and you were barely blinking, like if you did she would just vanish into thin air. “I’m fine, okay? I’ll see you at lunch, promise,” Chrissy said. You sighed but relented.
Your classes before lunch passed by in a blur. No one was really focused on the school work. Many were buzzing about the game later, and the celebration that would come afterwards if Hawkins won. You weren’t really thinking about the game. Your mind was on your best friend. “What was that back there?” you thought.
You parked yourself next to Chrissy at your usual lunch table with Jason and his basketball friends. The energy at the table was very consuming as they all chatted animatedly about the upcoming game.
“We’re gonna smoke them,” Chance said. All the other boys agreed. “They’re not going to know what hit them. Isn’t that right, Lucas?” He turned to one of the freshmen at the table. He had been on the bench the entire season, and he was quieter than most basketball players you knew. Especially the ones at your table.
“Yeah, for sure man,” he answered.
From behind you a voice spoke up, catching the attention of most of the cafeteria. It was Eddie Munson.
Eddie was standing up on top of a lunch table saying, “...or parties or a game where you toss balls into laundry baskets!” He directed that towards your table and Jason stood up.
“You want something, freak?” Jason yelled. Eddie smiled and made horns on his head with his hands. Jason gave him a look and muttered, “prick,” as he sat back down.
Eddie was a senior. He had been a senior for a while now, and had failed his last year multiple times. At least that’s what everyone said. You weren’t well acquainted with him at all but you had a class with him. He was talkative and had an outgoing personality, but you didn’t see anything wrong with that.
Almost the entire school considered him a “freak” though because he liked to play Dungeon and Dragons. Personally you didn’t play it, but one of the kids you babysat did. You had heard plenty of stories about how the game made people violent and it was satanic. You thought it was a load of bull. It was just a harmless game.
“Y/N,” Chrissy whispered, getting your attention. You had some pizza in your mouth so you looked at her and raised your eyebrows, letting her know to continue. “I set up a… meeting with Eddie for later today.”
You quirked an eyebrow, showing that you didn’t understand. She looked around anxiously and scooted a little closer. “For… stuff. He sells.” Realization hit you. She was buying drugs. Chrissy was buying drugs. That was something you never thought would happen. Chrissy had always been so straight laced.
You nodded and swallowed your food. “What for?” you asked. You had never done drugs before but knew a couple people who did. Your knowledge of drugs was pretty limited. You knew about the not-so-bad stuff like weed.
“Maybe it’ll help with the headaches. And the nightmares.” She chewed on her lip and looked at you seriously.
“Okay. Be safe though.” You weren’t going to scold her or anything like that. Chrissy was truly struggling and maybe it was worth a try. She let out a breath and shut her eyes for a second. She must have been afraid to tell you. You rubbed her shoulder briefly, causing Jason to look over at you two.
“You okay Chrissy?” he asked. She nodded and smiled at him. She must not be telling him then. Just you.
Hours later you were in the gym, cheering on the basketball team. It was a close game, but you were hopeful that the Hawkins team would pull through and win the championship. The gym was packed full of supporters. It seemed like half the town showed up.
“WOO!” you cheered, waving your pom-poms. There was just a few seconds left on the clock. Jason took the shot, as everyone watched with bated breath. He missed. Your shoulders fell. But then underneath the goal was Lucas, the freshman benchwarmer. He got the ball, took a couple steps back, jumped, and shot. The crowd erupted in cheers. Hawkins had won the championship. The entire basketball team converged on Lucas, hoisting him up on their shoulders and chanting his name.
Later on in the night the gym had cleared out, and the only students left were the basketball players and some cheerleaders in the parking lot. There was plans to go to a well-known place for parties.
“Hey, I’m going to go home and change but I’ll meet you guys there,” Chrissy said. You and Jason nodded and she walked off to her car. You knew that Chrissy wasn’t actually just going home. She was going to Eddie Munson’s house. Apparently he didn’t have what Chrissy wanted with him when they met at school. Jason was unaware of what was going on but you weren’t going to tell him. It wasn’t your place.
The party was hectic and full of alcohol, but you knew your limits. After a few drinks you decided to go home. The next morning you woke up to your mom calling your name. “Y/n! Y/n will you come down here?”
You went down the stairs and went to the living room where your mom and dad were watching the news. You were confused at first then you heard what the reporters were saying. Someone had been murdered last night. Collapsing onto the couch next to your mom, she wrapped her arms around you. She was scared to death of something like that happening to you. After all the death that had plagued Hawkins her worry was entirely warranted. You returned her embrace while she sniffled.
Not too long after you saw that on the news you got a call. “Hello?” you asked.
“Hey y/n it’s Jason.” You raised your eyebrows at who was calling you. He had never called you before, and wouldn’t really talk to you much when you were around him. The only reason you guys were ‘friends’ was because he was Chrissy’s boyfriend. Wait. Chrissy. She never showed up last night to that party. Fear swept over you as Jason continued to talk.
“Did you ever see Chrissy last night? Did you talk to her at all during or after the party?” his voice was urgent as he questioned you. You began to panic.
“Why? Did- Did something happen?” Your voice trembled and your hands shook.
“Listen to me very carefully y/n. I’m guessing you’ve seen the news. Last night Chrissy was… killed.”

Missing You (3)
chrissy cunningham x fem!reader
Tumblr media
your feelings for your ex-bestfriend come back as
you get partnered for a science project. will you
become close again, or maybe even more?
Tumblr media
there was a hard slam next to you while you were gathering your things from your locker. it was jason, chrissy’s boyfriend.
“i don’t know what kind of shit you’re trying to pull with chrissy but i’m not stupid.”
you looked at him in confusion and clenched onto your science textbook. for the past few weeks, chrissy’s been coming over almost every day to work on the project. sometimes to just hang out with you. it was nice, but it only made your feelings stronger.
you had these moments of catching each other glancing, more dance parties to the smiths, watching movies like you used to. you loved the feeling it gave you. it made you and chrissy get closer than before. you didn’t know it, but chrissy loved it too. but she questioned why she never felt that way with jason.
you hoped that wasn’t what jason was talking about.
but it was.
“what do you mean? we’re just working on a project together.”
“i know you’re a damn dyke!”
a few students around their lockers turned their faces but quickly went back to their own conversations. your heart was racing and you gave jason a mean look.
“you better shut your fucking mouth carver.”
“well you better stop doing whatever it is with chrissy. she’s been blowing me off about coming over to hang with the team. it’s bad for my rep.”
“does she know that? she probably does if she’s always willing to hang out with me instead of you. it’s not my fault you’re such an asshole.”
jason grabbed your shoulder aggressively, digging his fingers into it. you could feel his nails through your shirt and you hissed in pain.
“y/n, jason? what’s going on?”
you both turned to see chrissy with her textbooks and a concerned look on her face. you were about to say something, but jason quickly interrupted.
“nothing, babe, we were just having a friendly conversation.”
you could see the cheerleader cringe at the pet name and him kissing her deeply. it made you wonder if she truly did love jason or if she was just doing it for the attention. either way, it made you heart hurt just thinking about it. you cleared your throat and spoke.
“well, chrissy, we should get to class.”
chrissy broke off from jason and quickly kissed him on the cheek and continued to walk with you towards the classroom. she was surprisingly very close to you, like she considered you as her protector. you smiled and held the door open for her just as the bell rang.
Tumblr media
you grabbed eddie’s shirt from behind in an attempt to scare him. it worked. he whipped around and let out a big sigh. he hated when you would scare him like that.
“fuck, y/n, you gotta stop doing that! but, how was class with chrissy~”
“i want you to be brutally honest with me ed. do you think i have a chance?”
eddie’s eyes slightly widened as he raised his eyebrows. he looked down for a few seconds trying to come up with a response. he didn’t want to hurt your feelings, but he knew all you wanted right now was honesty.
“look. chrissy is the head cheerleader of hawkins, dating the head basketball player. they’re literally the ‘it’ couple. they’re the relationship that everyone looks at from afar and secretly wants. even if jason’s intentions aren’t good, he’s gonna do anything he can to stay with your lady.”
your expression changed and you looked down as you began to feel upset. you can’t be mad at him for saying all that, it was true. jason would do anything to stay with chrissy.
“hey, i’m not done.”
eddie rested his hand on your shoulder and gently shook you as a sign to look back up at him.
“i’ve seen the way chrissy looks at you and the way you look at chrissy. she loves you. even if it is just in a friend way, she loves you with her all. ever since you two started hanging out with each other she seems happier from what i’m seeing. so, yeah, i think you do have a chance. just a slightly small one.”
you looked at your close friend for a few seconds before pulling him into a hug. it took him by surprise since you weren’t physically affectionate with him at all. you then pushed him off and smiled.
“thanks, ed. cmon let’s go get lunch.”
just then someone grabbed you from the collar of your shirt. the next thing you know your head and back hit the locker and you fall hard on the ground. before you can do anything you’re grabbed by your hair and get punched in the face a few times before eddie pulls him off. it was jason.
because of the impact to your head you started to feel dizzy, like you were going to black out. you could hear eddie yelling at jason and more sounds of slams against the lockers. you got up, trying to get your focus back and grabbed jason from behind, choking him then slamming him onto the ground.
you got on top of him and the rings you had on your fingers scraped his face as you continuously punched him.
“agh- you fucking dyke get the fuck off me!”
he easily pushed you off and attempted to punch your eye. he missed and punched your nose, which hurt just as bad. eddie then grabbed him again and pinned him against the lockers.
“get the fuck out of here jason! you’re lucky no one was in this damn hallway.”
“oh shut up eddie. this isn’t done, chrissy is blowing me off again to hang out with you. i hope you know she doesn’t actually like you, y/n. she’s just acting nice again to get a good grade on that project.”
you knew he was lying. he had to be, that’s just so jason is. but the words really hurt. there’s always a possibility that what he said is true. it made you question your relationship with chrissy.
“shut up. you’re just fucking saying that because you’re jealous that she likes me more than you! that’s all you are, jason. you’re jealous.”
jason clenched his fists and was gonna attempt to hit you again, but eddie had a good grip on him and shoved him the opposite direction.
“get out of here.”
jason breathed out aggressively and quickly walked out of the hallway. eddie ran over to you and grabbed the bandana he kept in his pocket, wiping your nose with it.
“what did i tell you? he’ll do anything to stay with her.”
you winced as he tried his best to clean your wounds. you took the bandana for yourself and stood up slowly.
“go get lunch, ed. i’ll clean this up in the bathroom.”
“alright. don’t take too long.”
Tumblr media
“i hope this stupid makeup works.”
you were using whatever makeup your mother had to try to hide the bruise near your eye. you had several other small open wounds on your face and marks on the back of your shoulder from jason this morning. you didn’t want chrissy to figure out it was him and tried coming up with several lies to tell her if she asked about him.
you heard the front door open and knew it was her. you quickly put the makeup away and dimmed the light coming from your lamp. it wasn’t enough, but you didn’t figure that out until chrissy’s face drastically changed when walking into your room.
she dropped her things and quickly sat in front of you gently grabbing your face.
“y/n, are you okay? what happened?”
“nothing i just went through the forest on my way home and bumped into a tree. eddie and i weren’t paying attention.”
chrissy looked at you with worry and stayed quiet for a few seconds. your faces were extremely close, close enough to where you felt her warm breath on your lips. it made you nervous.
“you’re lying. i know when people lie. what really happened?”
you didn’t want to tell her but there was no way of getting out of this. you tried maintaining eye contact with her but you didn’t want her to see you in such a vulnerable state, so you just continued looking down.
“i got into a fight with jason, that’s all. it was my fault.“
the warmth of chrissy’s hands on your face went away as she slowly took them off. she knew that jason was jealous, but she didn’t think he would actually act on it.
“y/n, i’m so sorry. it’s not your fault i- i can talk to him and he’ll stop-“
“chrissy, no.”
you gently grabbed her hands and held them in your own. she was trying to put the blame on herself and she didn’t deserve that. you used your other hand to grab her chin and make her look up at you.
“you don’t have to do any of that. it’s my fault, it really is. jason sees me as a threat and from what i can tell, it’s always gonna be that way as long as you’re with him.”
there was worry and fear in the other’s eyes as you looked into them. she then formed a slight smile and leaned into your face. you both were VERY close. dangerously close.
now, chrissy didn’t know what she was doing. what she did know was the past few weeks of spending time with you, getting close again, it made her extremely happy. she felt happier with you than with jason. she knew what everyone would think. her family, her friends, jason, but she didn’t care in this moment.
“is it such a bad thing? being a threat?”
she spoke in a low tone. it sent shivers down your spine in addition with her warm breath still hitting your lips. you let go of her hands and placed them on the floor to hold yourself up. chrissy got closer in response. you struggled to speak because of this.
“..you tell me.”
“does this give you an answer?”
and the warm breath that was hitting your lips disappeared. her lips locked onto yours and all the thoughts that were running through your mind left. all you could think about was this moment. about chrissy. the head cheerleader, queen of hawkins high, kissed you. she was still kissing you.
you deepened the kiss which made you wince since there were a few small cuts on your bottom lip, but you didn’t care. you were kissing each other for about a minute before chrissy broke off to catch her breath. you looked at each other in shock.
it wasn’t until now that chrissy realized what she did. she kissed you, she kissed a girl. did she like you? was she just desperate for the attention jason didn’t give to her? she didn’t know. it felt right in the moment but a wave of guilt and fear washed over her.
“chrissy..”
“i’m sorry i- i don’t know what i was thinking-“
before you could respond, chrissy got up and grabbed her things. she whispered another sorry before leaving and you tried to get up to go after her. the quick action sent a sharp pain to your ribs and you fell back onto the floor.
you were confused. rightfully so, but you thought about it. chrissy had a reputation, and if anyone knew about what just happened a few seconds ago, it would be ruined. you felt tears forming in your eyes but they didn’t come out. you couldn’t tell if you were upset or angry, maybe both. you sighed and sat there for almost an hour before crashing into your bed to sleep.
this was gonna be awkward on monday.

“So you finally told him?” Robin asked, laying on her stomach on your bed as you sat on the floor facing her.
After you left the school that afternoon you just went home and waited until you knew Robin would be home. Once you knew it would be safe to call her house, you did. Three times before Robin finally picked up. You could hear her intake of breath as she went to say something. Though you quickly cut her off, not with your words but with your tears as they began to fall freely upon hearing your friend pick up the phone.
That is how you found yourself here, with Robin laying on her stomach on your bed while you laid on the floor looking up at your ceiling. You had told Robin all about what had happened between you and Eddie at his trailer that day weeks ago, you had also told her about what you saw at school today. The emotions that you had shoved down for so long coming to the surface and staining your cheeks as the tears rolled down your face.
“Yeah, and we see how well that worked out.” You mumbled, running a hand down your face. Frustration and exhaustion are beginning to take over. Making your head heavy; you could lay on here all night.
“It’s not that bad, he’s still your friend. I’m sure he’ll talk to you if you give him the chance.”
At Robin’s words you pushed yourself up on your elbows. You knew she didn’t mean anything by it, only trying to help in the only way she felt she could. It admittedly frustrated you but you would never take it out on Robin, not when she’s been the only constant since your blow up with Eddie.
“I would love to try, but he didn’t try to talk to me that day. I doubt he’d talk to me about it now.”
Robin was silent for a moment. You could tell that she was contemplating something. Which always terrified you, her plans had a tendency to backfire even when she had different intentions. But you let her sit in quiet contemplation for a moment. Simply watching as she thought things over, wishing that you could peek inside her head sometimes. Though you didn't have to wait long to get a glimpse inside.
Robin jumped up from your bed, and joined you on the floor. Her eyes shining with a look you had come to call her “By golly I’ve got it” look. Robin grabbed your shoulders and pulled you closer to her, nearly making your noses touch. It was startling to you though it did bring a small smile to your face to see her theatrics.
“You said Henderson told you they’re going to prom together?”
You nodded, no words coming out of your mouth as close as Robin was you were.
“Then you go to prom. Take Steve, dress like you own the fucking place and make him eat it.”
A smile grew on Robin’s face as she finished telling you her idea. But you grew skeptical. It was a plan, you could give her that, and yeah it wasn’t a terrible plan. But you didn’t want to make him jealous. That never ended up the way it did in the movies. One of you would still end up hurt in the end, and with your luck lately you’d put money on it coming back to bite you in the ass.
However, getting out of the house, dressing in a killer dress and being able to party with some of your other friends DID sound pretty nice. It sounded like the perfect opportunity to get your mind off of the guy that was plaguing it.
“I’ll go to prom,” Robin squealed, excited that you were going with her plan. “However, I’m not doing it to make Eddie jealous. I just want a fun night with you and Steve. If Eddie doesn’t want to talk to me then so be it. I can have fun on my own.”

Across town Eddie was sitting in his own bedroom, staring at the tux hung up on his closet door. A red tie hung from the hanger, perfectly matching the shade of red that made up Chrissy’s dress. It had taken three hours at the mall for the pair to find. Chrissy made it a point that they needed to match perfectly, dragging Eddie into a plethora of stores before finding it.
Overall the day hadn’t been bad, Eddie had enjoyed the time he and Chirssy had spent together. But he felt like something was missing. Like, he could laugh with Chirssy but he found himself missing the way he would laugh with you; the full bellied, leave you in stitches type of laughter. He enjoyed movie nights with Chrissy, relishing in the way he could pull her close and let his hands wander. But he found himself missing the horror movies the two of you would watch together and the junk food and marijuana you would consume. Oftentimes the night would end with the two of you cuddling close, much like he and Chrissy would. He loved having Chrissy at Hellfire meeting and introducing her to the complexities of the game. But damn, he missed being able to play with you and watch as you figured out each of his traps and set ups. He thought it was nice to have a girlfriend, especially one like Chrissy who he had mooned over for years. But he missed being able to talk to his best friend about anything and everything.
It took a second as his mind wandered off. But realization dawned on Eddie.
He missed you. He missed his best friend. And he needed to fix it.

Can I request a fluffy Eddie x Chrissy long fic where Chrissy wakes up and hears laughter and finds Eddie playing with their toddler daughter in the living room and Chrissy melts at the sight and thinks of how great a father Eddie is and how she never would have imagined that this would be her life and that she would have fallen in love, gotten married, and have a daughter with Eddie Munson? Also, their daughter looks just like Eddie?
Thank you for the request, I kind of got a bit carried away with this one but I hope you enjoy it.

Giggles.
That was the first sound that registered with Chrissy in the first few moments of her opening her eyes as she slowly woke from her slumber. In her sleep fogged brain she wasn't quite awake enough to register exactly where in their small home the giggles were coming from only that they weren't in the same room as her. She was alone in hers and Eddie's shared bed, the soft sheets brushing over the bare skin of her arms and legs as she moved to sit up. Leaning against the headboard as she let her eyes float around the room, sometimes she still found it hard to believe that she was here with Eddie, married and a baby, well toddler, she was three years old afterall.
Looking back she'd always thought it would be Jason that she'd be here with now but if it hadn't been for that fateful day in the woods out the back of the school, she wouldn't have gotten to know Eddie. Still to this day she thanks whatever God there is up there that she met him that day knowing that he saved her in more ways than one. And it wasn't that Jason didn't love her or make her feel loved even, it was more that she had to pretend to be someone with him, to fit in with his and everyone else's ideals and to be honest it was exhausting. Whereas with Eddie everything was easier, with him she got to explore more of who she was without judgement and somewhere along the way she fell in love with him.
Her eyes land on the picture of the two of them on the bedside, Eddie's eyes bright with laughter and there's a smile on his face to match. His arm is thrown around her shoulders and her expression mirrors his except she's looking up at him, her eyes full of admiration for him. The picture made them look like a dream couple, only it hadn't always been easy for them..
"You making eyes at my girl freak" Jason spits out, coming to a stop in front of Eddie his hands pushing forward into Eddie's shoulders as he pushes him back against the lockers. Eddie's eyes widen in surprise at the sudden contact but he doesn’t look scared.
"Course not Carver she's far too good for me anyway" Eddie shrugs but makes no attempt to hide how his gaze has fallen on Chrissy yet again. Though instead of being met with bright eyes and a pretty smile as he usually is, he finds her brow furrowed and a worried look in her eyes as she bites her bottom lip nervously as she watches the two of them, feeling so conflicted in her feelings towards the two boys currently fighting over her.
"As you should" Jason agrees, stupidly believing that Eddie meant his words until he realised that Eddie was no longer listening to him and that he was in fact staring at Chrissy.
In a moment of blind jealousy he pulled his arm back, hand curled into a fist as he swung forward, fist coming into contact with Eddie's cheek. The force of the hit sent his head backwards into the lockers with a crash leaving Eddie stunned and with the blood rushing in his ears, Jason just about registered it over Chrissy's scream.
He made to turn to her only Eddie had other ideas, after collecting himself from Jason's attack he launched himself forward, body connecting with Jason's hard and knocking them both to the floor. They landed in a heap of tangled limbs but Eddie was on top and using his leverage to keep the other boy pinned, Eddie returned the favour, his own fist coming in contact with Jason's nose resulting in a sickening crack. He'd definitely broken Jason's nose but he didn't care, the prick deserved it and as he pulled his arm back to land another blow to Jason's face he felt his body being pulled backwards off of Jason.
Looking to see who had grabbed him he found a couple of the basketball team with their hands clamped around his arms and he struggled in their grasp to try to free himself because if it was going to turn into all of them against him, and it wouldn't be the first time it had happened, then he certainly didn't want to be restrained. He'd about managed to free himself when Jason had pulled himself up off the floor, wiping some of the blood that trickled from his nose on the back of his hand as he took a step closer to Eddie.
"You stay away from her, you hear me freak" he warned and then as if to prove how serious a warning it was he made one final blow, landing a punch to Eddie's stomach knocking the air from him. Laughing as they let go of him, Eddie landed on his knees doubled over as he sucked some much needed air into his lungs and now that the adrenaline of the fight was starting to wear off he could feel the throbbing of his cheek, it was definitely going to bruise but at least it wasn't broken so that was something.
As the bell rang Eddie pulled himself off the floor because the last thing he needed right now was for everyone to see him slouched on the floor in the middle of the hallway in pain. So he dodged through the crowd of students ignoring the way they stared at his face as he passed them, heading straight for the doors and out to his spot. No way was he eating lunch in the cafeteria today, not when the tale of the fight was bound to spread around the school like a wildfire and he would be lucky if he wasn't suspended by the end of the day.
By the time he reached the picnic bench in the little secluded area surrounded by trees through a gap in the fence behind the school, he realised he wasn't going to be spending the lunch hour alone. There sat waiting for him was none other than Chrissy Cunningham.
"Eddie, are you okay?" She fussed, jumping straight up from the bench as she saw him approach, "I'm so sorry if I hadn't been trying to get your attention then Jason never would have" she rambled out an apology, not giving Eddie any chance to speak as she carefully tried to check his injured face.
Eddie hissed as her fingers brushed against his check, a hand coming up to grab her wrist to stop her movements, "You have nothing to be sorry for other than your sorry excuse of a boyfriend" he huffed out, dropping her wrist and moving to sit on the bench. He was slightly annoyed, not at Chrissy and he felt guilty for speaking to her the way he did, but at Jason, at himself for allowing Jason to wind him up enough to retaliate but mainly because he lost control in front of Chrissy. Sweet, sweet Chrissy who he'd only ever tried to be better for and this stupid crush he had was definitely one sided.
"About that" she paused, nervousness clouding her features once again and Eddie looked over to her where she still stood with a curious gaze wondering where she was going with that, "we broke up" she finished, a small smile working its way onto her face.
Broke up? But then what had that little display been about was it just an excuse for Jason to beat him up, not that he ever needed one before but still.
"Right after the fight" she clarified, seeing Eddie's frown and the confusion swirling in his eyes, "I got sick of the way he treated people, how he treated you and it made me realise that's not who I want to spend the rest of my life with" she explained, hands twisting in the bottom of her cheer skirt as she finally lifted her head so that she could meet his eyes.
"So who would you want to spend the rest of your life with?" Eddie questioned, selfishly wishing that it would be him but knowing he had no chance until that one word slipped from her mouth.
"You"
And it hadn't always been just Jason who hated Eddie, her own parents had disliked him from the start. They looked on her relationship with him as an act of rebellion and had threatened to stop her from going out anywhere except school and cheer practice unless she ended things with him. Of course that had led to countless fights with her parents which ended up with her crying herself to sleep in her room or leaving the house altogether. Those nights she'd make the long walk into town where she could find a payphone to call Eddie and have him come pick her up..
Shivering against the bench where she sat in only her cheer uniform even though school had finished hours ago, she waited for the familiar sound of Eddie's van to draw near. Dabbing at her eyes in an attempt to dry the tears that kept flowing, knowing how much of a mess she looked right now with her mascara probably running down her cheeks but she didn’t care. Didn’t care about anything other than wanting a hug from the boy she loved.
It wasn't much longer before the loud thumping of music sounded down the street and she knew it was Eddie before she even saw that van of his. When he brought the van to an abrupt stop in front of the sidewalk where she was waiting, he was quick to jump out and run around to her where he automatically wrapped his arms around her and let her bury her face in his chest.
"Jesus Christ Chrissy, you're freezing" he fretted, tugging off his jacket and laying it over her shoulders all while she hugged him tightly. "Shh sweetheart it's okay I've got you now" he soothed, holding her and pressing a kiss to the crown of her head as they stood there ignoring everything around them.
"I'm sorry" she croaked, voice quiet as she pulled away from his chest a little while later. She wasn't sure what exactly she was apologising for, maybe the fact that she'd had him come pick her up or that he was probably cold now that she had his jacket or that she was crying into his shirt and covering it in tears and mascara. All of them she guessed but Eddie's brows furrowed at her apology.
"You have nothing to be sorry for just because your parents don't approve of me doesn't mean they should make you suffer because of it" he sighed, no matter what he did, no matter how hard he tried to convince Chrissy's parents that he loved her and planned to treat her as she deserved to be treated and so much more on top of that. It didn't matter to them though, all that mattered was that he was the town freak and they didn't want him associated with their family. Well jokes on them, he thought, because he planned to stick around for as long as Chrissy would have him and he really hoped that would be forever.
"Come let's get you home, some space and some sleep should do you good" he encouraged, leading her to the van and she followed, knowing the rest of tonight would go as it had countless times before and would probably happen countless times again for as long as her parents disliked Eddie. He'd drive them back to his trailer then lend her one of his shirts to sleep in and then he'd cuddle her for the rest of the night, showering her with love until she fell asleep and even after until he eventually fell asleep himself.
"Mama"
The tiny voice echoed along the hallway bringing her back from her thoughts and she looked towards the door half expecting to see the small form of her daughter waddle in on wobbly legs but she didn’t, instead she heard Eddie's voice.
"No baby it's still early we gotta let mama sleep"
She smiled, even now three years on from the birth of their daughter he was still insisting that when he was home he would help and that she should rest. He was always telling her that she did too much, fussing over her as though she was the one out working long hours to provide for them and not him. It still surprised her sometimes how good of a dad that he was considering his own upbringing but he took to it naturally and without complaints..
She'd only been asleep for what felt like ten minutes when the crying had woken her but in the dimmed light she could see on the alarm clock that it was 3am so she'd been asleep for about 2 hours since that last wake up call she'd received from her daughter. As she rolled, ready to climb out of bed to soothe her baby Eddie's voice startled her.
"I've got her go back to sleep" his voice was thick with sleep as she felt the bed shake slightly as he moved to get up.
"But what if she wants feeding?" Chrissy tried to protest, knowing that he had work in the morning and that he should be the one getting the sleep.
"Then I'll bring her to you" he answered already on his way to her crib leaving her no more time to protest.
Sighing at Eddie's insistence to help as she rolled back over to get comfortable but also so she could watch him with their baby. She watched as he carefully scooped her tiny form into his arms, supporting her head just as Chrissy had shown him how to the first time he'd held her, as he softly rocked her in an effort to soothe her tears away. It took a few minutes of him doing this for the crying to stop though not for her to fall back to sleep, Eddie didn't seem to mind though whispering sweet words to her as he continued his movements.
Although Chrissy had seen him do this countless times it still pulled at her heartstrings to see him so soft. If anyone had told her back before she'd gotten to know him that he could be this gentle with a baby she wouldn't have believed them because how could someone look like Eddie but also be soft. But he'd proved many times that he could be soft and gentle and she loved watching every moment of it.
As if sensing that she was watching him, Eddie turned with an amused smile on his face. "Why're you still awake? I thought I told you to go back to sleep" he asked, voice quiet so as not to disturb the now sleeping baby in his arms.
"How can I, when I've got this view?" she teased, knowing that even though she couldn't see it there would be a slight blush blossoming on Eddie's cheeks.
Letting out a huff of air that she supposed was meant to be a laugh but the fear of waking the baby had resulted in that, he very carefully lowered her back into the crib. Checking that she was still asleep before creeping back towards the bed and climbing in beside Chrissy who immediately snuggled into his side.
"Thank you for allowing me to live my life with a perfect family" he whispered into her hair once she was settled and followed his words with a kiss to the top of her head.
She didn't need a thank you because they'd built this life together, it was as much him as it was her, "I love you Eddie Munson and nothing will ever change that" she replied without thinking, her words thick with honesty and tiredness as she wrapped her arms around him tighter, her eyelids growing heavy again now she was wrapped in the comfort of his arms.
"I love you too sweetheart, both of you" he replied, leaving her with a smile on her face as she drifted back into sleep.
The memory had brought tears to her eyes and the sudden urge to find Eddie so that she could hold him and not let go. Swinging her legs around so that she could set her feet down on the soft carpet, feeling a chill when the cooler air met her skin now that she was no longer under the thick blankets on the bed, ignoring it she pushed herself up and went in search of her husband and her baby.
From the open doorway of her room, the sounds of giggling were louder and it wasn't just her baby's, she recognised the sounds of Eddie's laughter mixed with it. Their happiness was infectious and she felt the smile on her face growing wider as she inched her way forward towards the room in hopes of catching a glimpse of what they were up to before they saw her.
From the doorway she found Eddie sitting crossed legged on the floor with his back against the side of the bed and sitting behind him messing with his hair was their daughter, who was the carbon copy of Eddie. She had the same dark curls that framed her face, the same big chocolate brown eyes that shone with innocence and wonder, even the smile was the same.
Sometimes Chrissy wondered if her daughter had inherited anything from her at all but Eddie always told her that she had her mother's nature, so kind and gentle with everybody and she was loved by everyone that met her just like her mother. Chrissy had tried to protest that not everyone loved her but Eddie had only shook his head and with a smile leaned forward to kiss her.
"Mama" an excited voice called out followed by an exclamation of pain from Eddie as it seemed in her excitement to get off the bed to run to Chrissy, she had managed to kick Eddie in the head.
"Morning baby, what have you been doing?" She asked, leaning down to pick up the small girl who had opened her arms up to her as soon as she was within reach.
"Making daddy look pretty" she smiled, cuddling further into Chrissy's arms as a pouting Eddie joined them in the doorway, rubbing the spot on his head where the little feet had kicked him.
Chrissy leaned over to press a kiss to his cheek which instantly soothed him, his pout turned into a smile as she turned her attention back to their daughter, "Is daddy not always pretty?" She asked, holding back a laugh when the answer was a steadfast no.
"Hey" Eddie exclaimed in mock offence, reaching forward to tickle her, making her squirm in Chrissy's arms, "I am very pretty" he added which made her giggle more.
"Not as pretty as mama" she squeals through giggles, still trying to squirm away from Eddie so much so that Chrissy is worried she may drop her. Though at her words Eddie stops, he takes a second where he pretends to think about them before turning back to her.
"Yeah I can't argue with that no one is as pretty as mama" he agrees, sending a cheesy smile Chrissy's way as he wraps his arms around the two of them.
Although it seems by that point the small girl has had enough of the games as she pouts up at the two of them, "pancakes now" she asks, looking hopefully up at Eddie, "you said when mama woke up" she adds.
"That I did, come on then little one" Eddie smiles, placing one last kiss to Chrissy's cheek before helping her back down to the floor where she followed him eagerly.
Chrissy stands for a moment, thanking whoever was listening for how her life had turned out. A loving husband, a beautiful little girl and absolutely nothing that she would change about her life.
