ahoodgirl's upcoming fics

So I have two Cal fics that are in the works and hopefully I can post them both before the end of the year, but I'll do my best.

1. the soccer stars' associate {soccerstar!cal} — this is something that I really got into about a month & ½ ago; it's basically just smut, but like helping Calum with his soccer contracts and getting seriously close.

2. teen pregnancy, he's yours; 4yrs later pt. ii {dad!cal / boxer!cal} — this is part 2 of my teen pregnancy fic with Calum. He picks up boxing on the side to help with the pregnancy and for the baby.

These are my two main fics that I am working on at the moment. Please let me know if you want to know anything else about these, and if you want to read a little bit of one.

I love the number of fanon illegitimate and adopted children everyone foists on Obi-Wan. Korkie, Cal, Anakin, Ahsoka, Luke, Leia, literally every child he comes into contact with, and a few he doesn't, just results in a fandom kneejerk reaction of "that's a dad right there."

(Hells, we see him interact with Nuna and even if that's not his kid, the way he acts is just Pure Dad Mode. Amazing.)

IDK how Ewan McGregor managed to get literally thousands of people to look at his 33yo self (with artificial grey hairs, admittedly) and go "that's a father, right there. That's a bona fide Dad. He's got at least a few kids." but he did it. Maybe everyone--including the TCW team--looked at him holding CGI baby twins and went "oh. Oh we gotta do something with that."

And like. He has no kids. Canon says he has no kids.

Fallen Order AU where Cere is killed and Cal is taken by Darth Vader with the intention of making him an Inquisitor. But when Cal’s psychometric abilities are revealed, Vader has a different plan in mind, one that causes certain truths and revelations to come to light. Cal didn’t know what he was getting into when he showed Vader what he saw through those echoes, but he really didn’t sign up to accompany said Sith Lord while he went through a midlife crisis.

Essentially, Vader finds out the truth about how Palpatine lied to him and how Padmé really died and also the fact that he has twins out there somewhere and decides “fuck palpatine” and drags a bewildered Cal - who becomes his unofficial apprentice of sorts - with him as he plots a way to take the emperor down and also, find his kids.

Also a Darth Vader redemption of sorts. He’s still a pretty shitty guy at the start and his whole reason for wanting to kill the Emperor is solely to avenge Padmé. He also has some murderous intent towards Obi-Wan for hiding his children from him and also, leaving him to burn. He’s in the mindset of believing that he wasn’t at fault and blames others for everything that happened, including his actions. But gets a hard wakeup call from Cal when he shows him just how shitty things are and what the Empire, what he has done and finally thinks “oh, I’m the problem” and from then on his slow redemption starts as he sets out on attempting to repair the damage done as he starts back on the rocky path towards the light. He also trains Cal, who at first goes “fuck that and fuck you” but eventually the two become a duo. Like Vader and Starkiller if Vader was going through a crisis, stumbling through a path of redemption and Starkiller was his tired, annoyed, unofficial apprentice who was unwillingly dragged along for the ride.

Bad News (Terry McGinnis)

“Terry McGinnis is bad news, you don’t want to mess with him.” was the first thing you heard about him.

“He’s a bad boyfriend. Skips dates, flakes on plans, always has weird bruises is and really tired. None of his partners have ever caught him cheating, but he definitely does.” Was the next several things, all said in a hushed whisper as you were ushered past the black-haired boy in question.

He certainly didn’t… look like bad news. You’d dated guys who were bad news before, and very few of them had looked like Terry. Acted like him, either.

He was nice. He had helped you with your homework when you cried at the study tables in the library, smoothing a soothing hand over your shoulder blades almost unconsciously as he walked you through your chemistry exam study guide. He’d given you some gum, a smile, and a pat on the back before he promptly fell asleep on the table in the back corner of the library, snoring softly.

You’d slid your number into his hand when you left, and that was it for a while. He didn’t text. You saw each other in passing, and he’d smiled and you’d smiled, but nothing more.

Until you’d gotten the call.

“Hey.” He breathed into the speaker, his voice sounding oddly pained. “I’m sorry to call at this hour, but, uh, this… this isn’t really something I can call my mom for.”

He’d given you the address of an abandoned warehouse, begged you not to be freaked out when you got there, and hung up.

You went.

You didn’t really know why you went, for all you knew it was a really elaborate booty call or kidnapping scheme, but ten minutes later you parked next to the warehouse and slipped inside.

There, leaned up against a wall, bleeding and bruised, was Terry.

“You’re- you’re studying to be an EMT, right?” He asked with a pained smile that was supposed to be charming, gesturing to his wounds. “I figured you’d appreciate some hands-on experience.”

“What the hell?” You’d breathed, giving him a shocked look as you rushed to examine his wounds. “Terry, why didn’t you call the police?”

“Not the sharpest, are you.” Terry grunted in what might have been amusement, hissing as you poked and prodded him to see what was hurting. “Can’t call the police, they’d arrest me.”

“Arrest you?” You’d echoed, and then you took in his outfit. All black, with a red bat on the front. A cowl was clutched in his hand, the ends sharpening into little points. “Oh my god.”

“Yeah, I’m Batman.” Terry chuckled, but it was more at the look of shock on your face. He moved to sit up and then groaned, cringing and covering his wound. “Can you patch me up before I die here, please? Kinda called you for your specific set of skills.”

“You are so stupid.” You chided, but reluctantly dug around in your bag for hydrogen peroxide and bandages.

“And you’re old school, doc.” He breathed, smiling up at you cheekily. “You don’t carry those fancy little kits that heal people up on the spot?”

“They don’t sell them to anyone other than certified medical personnel.” You said, giving him a pointed glare and dousing his wound in hydrogen peroxide. “And I’m not a doctor.”

“Ah-” Terry hissed, tipping his head back and gasping in a little breath. … he was pretty. He was really pretty, and it was a little distracting. The voices of your friends rang out in the back of you head, warning you that he was trouble, but you couldn’t find it in you to listen when he swallowed thickly and turned to look at you, a lopsided smile on his pale face. “Same difference.” He breathed, chuckling.

You looked back at his wound, face flushed and feeling dizzy from the laps your brain was having to do to see Terry- scrawny, ‘bad boy’, Terry- as Batman. It seemed ridiculous, but his muscles were right there underneath your hands, tensing as you bandaged him up. He looked bigger than he did when you saw him in passing, stronger- when you saw him, he was always wearing bigger clothes that nearly dwarfed him, making him look smaller than he was. His hair was damp with sweat that ran down his face and made him look a little bit red, his lips parted as he breathed in air. He was gorgeous.

Suddenly, it made a little more sense why his exes had kept on giving him chances.

You worked quietly and efficiently, only sparing a few looks at your accidental patient before you finished patching him up.

“You should get that checked out at an actual hospital.” You said, helping him to his feet. “And I still don’t understand why you called me. We aren’t… friends.”

Terry shrugged, cupping your face in his hand and grinning a toothy smile at you. “Yeah, well, we definitely are now, doc.” He teased, tapping your nose and pushing away from you to head towards the doors opposite of where you’d parked. “Text me sometime and we can go out and get some drinks. I feel like you’ll be better company when you’re not crying over your study guides.”

He slipped the cowl on over his head and you could very nearly feel his stupid smile, which you already knew was going to get you in more trouble than you had bargained for, as he slipped out the doors and into the Gotham night.

When you walked back out to your car, it had a flat tire, and the window was broken.

… okay, maybe Terry was bad news.

and your eyes travel up to peek at his

but he’s not even looking at you, just walks towards the kitchen to start the dishes

you quietly sigh and rub your forehead

talk about bad timing

you follow him into the kitchen

“it’s not what you think,” is all you can get yourself to say

he shrugs his shoulders with a slight shake to his head

“yoongi,” you mumble as you close the distance between you two

he turns to look over his shoulder at you. “why are you still entertaining him?”

you blink at him in confusion. “i haven’t heard from him in days, what are you talking about?”

he redirects his focus to the dishes and just keeps doing them

you sigh quietly. “does it bother you?”

he says, “no, you can do whatever you want, obviously. you’re single, aren’t you?”

“don’t be like this,” you say under your breath, leaning against the counter next to the sink where he’s standing

“like what?” he says. now he’s trying to sound unbothered, you can hear the shift in his tone

“yoongi, stop.” you take the sponge from him and wrap your fingers around his wrist to bring his hand directly under the stream of tap water to rinse the soap before turning the lever

he turns to look at you and you pull him towards you

he lets you but you can still feel him being tense

he adds, “it’s whatever. he’s just jarring.”

you chuckle at his wording. “what has he ever done to you?”

he stares at you and tilts his head to the side

you avoid his eyes, just busying yourself with brushing his hair out of his eyes

“being the reason why i didn’t take you against a wall in that restroom during joon’s ceremony.”

now he’s being ridiculousssss

you shake your head. “that was because of my dress. has nothing to do with him.”

“no? you weren’t rushing to go chat with him again? didn’t make it clear to him that i was just your ex-husband?” he starts pulling you closer by your waist

damn.

you did actually do that😭

“uh,” you start, already feeling the urge to lie to him bubble up the back of your throat.

he shakes his head. “i get it. you were annoyed, weren’t you?”

hm?

“annoyed?”

“yeah. because of yuna.”

oh.

you’d forgotten about yuna

“oh.” you glance up into his eyes and he’s staring straight at you. “yeah. i guess so.”

he slowly nods his head. “at least you know nothing’s happening between me and yuna because she’d rather do you. like your photoboy.”

you frown at this. “what?”

a dry chuckle leaves his mouth. “what are you confused about?”

“what are you talking about?”

“you think men text women ‘hey beautiful’ without hoping to fuck her at some point?”

you blink at him a few times

like mentioned before

you were never really in the dating pool

because you got with yoongi when you were pretty young

so you’re not sure how men text when they want something

you’re better at reading them in real life

you can’t say there wasn’t flirtatious energy when you spoke with taehyung though

“doesn’t that apply to you too?” you inquire, a deep frown on your brows

you just watch him this time, dumbfounded

just as you part your lips to say something, you hear your doorbell ring

you snap out of your trance and head towards the front door

as you open up, you see your mother standing there, holding jun

and jun’s holding a biscuit

“my baby,” you coo as you reach for him and he immediately jumps into your arms

you hug him tightly, kissing his chubby cheeks

your mom enters your home and closes the door behind her before starting heading into the kitchen

wait

WAIT

YOONGI’S THERE

you lied to her about it in the beginning but it’s still embarrassing!!!!

“wa-wait!” you turn to look at her. “where are you going?”

she frowns and then glances down at her hand. “i got a few juiceboxes for jun. i’m just gonna put them in the fridge.”

“oh! i’ll do that.” you put jun down

“spend time with your son. i can put a few juiceboxes in the fridge. do i look like a moron?” she rolls her eyes and starts heading into the kitchen

well…. fuck.

“oh.”

you can hear the surprise in her voice

ohhhh gooodness.

you walk with jun towards the kitchen.

“okay. interesting,” is all she says as she puts the juiceboxes back

yoongi looks extremely awkward

and his cheeks + ears turning a shade of crimson isn’t helping at all

“goodmorning, ma.” he nods at her

“morning, yoongi.” she nods back and scratches the back of her head. “well, i’m gonna get going. need to work.”

without even saying bye, your mom has sprinted out your home

so typical of her

you shake your head before glancing down at the gremlin by your feet

“daddy,” he says as he runs up to him

yoongi dries his hands and picks him up. “my boy,” he coos, tickling his sides

jun just giggles and shows his father the spiderman toy that he got

yoongi pretends to be interested and you just stare at this scene in front of you
