I love the number of fanon illegitimate and adopted children everyone foists on Obi-Wan. Korkie, Cal, Anakin, Ahsoka, Luke, Leia, literally every child he comes into contact with, and a few he doesn't, just results in a fandom kneejerk reaction of "that's a dad right there."

Star Wars Outlaws looks interesting, but they didn't really show much here that was different or new from what we already saw. I need to see more gameplay before I decide if this is going to be an early pick up for me or not.

Of course, there are some red flags. All of which are completely unsurprising for an Ubisoft game...

Ubisoft loves to nickel and dime their playerbase. To get all content, they're asking $129.99 USD. So over $140 after tax (for me).

I personally do care a lot about cosmetic items... so as always, I'm bummed that Ubisoft consistently does this. Hopefully there will be cheaper ways to access some of this gated off content later down the road. I do want to point out that it looks like we can dress up Nix to a degree so I am hyped for that!

The other thing, and definitely the most egregious, is that the box art says internet is required to install the game.. 🚩Never a good sign when a single player game requires internet. It's ridiculous and counterintuitive to have a physical release that can't be played right off the disc. This is terrible for preservation as servers will, inevitably, someday go down, making the disc useless and the game unplayable for anyone but early adopters. And not everyone has internet! It may seem like that's hard to believe, but I didn't have internet for two years when we first moved. And I live in the US. It happens! I take it very personally when gamers take for granted everyone has access lol.

So for now, I'm looking forward to seeing actual gameplay. Part of me just wants to support the game because they're doing a female protagonist, but I really do have reservations about how the stealth is gonna be. I hate instafail missions and stuff like that. So we'll see. At least with an Ubisoft game, you know it's gonna be mega discounted fairly quickly after launch. They almost always are. But if the full game isn't on the disc, I might be rethinking the whole thing. Idk.

Hi have a concept I cannot write myself because I don't know FJO outside of fanfic.

Two things happen:

Ventress survives past the end of the war, and is known to be alive and keeping away from the Empire.

A very Traditionalist Mandalorian visits Dathomir in the two or three years post-RotS (ship damage or something,) and finds tween Merrin.

Cue a quest to find The Known Surviving Dathomiri Zabrak Nightsister, so as to follow the "child must be returned to their people, or at least we do our best to make it happen" aspect of the foundling process.

(Technically, Maul is an option, but bb!Merrin refuses That option, because Maul, and Elsbeth is not known to Merrin or the Mando.)

Mando with a necromancy teenybopper trying to hunt out this magnificently slippery former Sith Acolyte who thinks she's being hunted for a bounty and definitely keeps hooking up with Quinlan.

Quinlan is how they finally make contact, though. He slips past to get an idea of why this person is trying to find Ventress, and has a Revelation that he needs to call his girlfriend about a New Baby Sister for her.

For fun, the Mandalorian on this quest could be a younger Armorer.
