OH MY GOODNESS IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!

Anyway, let's do this.

Even though nobody asked me to.

Vice housewarden time. (Also, I know some of the dorms don't have vice housewardens, but you know what I mean by these characters. Please don't comment or message or whatever and be like "Um, actually--" Cause I know. Don't worry. :3 Thanks tho)

Trey:

Ngl, perfect boyfriend material. I can't really see anything that would go bad unless you're just super stubborn about your teeth brushing habits. I think that's the only deal breaker for him.

MC: But I don't wanna brush my teeth now! I'm going to bed.

Trey: Do you know what can happen to your teeth by skipping even one brushing session?

MC: Don't know, don't care.

All in all, the only way this wouldn't work out is if you are the asshole.

Ruggie:

Pfft- You fucking wish. I mean, if you get close enough, maybe. But this boi would probably rather trick you and snatch your shit than try to date you. Of course, even if you did get close, he'd tease you to no end. (But if y'all were dating, I'd say he'd be a pretty ok boyfriend)

MC: Um... where's my wallet?

Ruggie: Oh, I used it to buy food.

MC: Oh, how much food?

Ruggie: As much as I could get with whatever was in there.

MC: ...

Ruggie: And then I sold the wallet for some quick cash.

MC: ....my wallet....

Yeah, you could never keep anything valuable.

Jade:

Unless you're into sadism, you'd fucking die. Also, if you hate mushrooms, good fucking luck. And if you piss him off? You're family would never find you again. I swear, being with this guy would always have you on edge.

MC: Um... Jade? I may have.... sorta.... kinda.... destroyed one of your terrariums... On accident though!

Jade: *silent stare*

MC: ....Jade?....

Jade: *creepy smile thing he does*

(And then MC either goes missing, gets left up on a mountain, or has to work all of Jade's shifts at Monstro Lounge for a month while also helping maintain all of his garden shit)

So yeah. Unless you're ok with constantly being watched for weakness or blackmail, I'd say don't date this psycho.

Jamil:

I mean.... maybe? He's super weird about trust, so even getting close to him would be hard. If y'all are close, I'd say it'd be ok. He probably wouldn't have as much time for you as you'd like since he has to deal with Kalim all the time. Otherwise, I'd say he's ok.

MC: Can we go on that date tomorrow?

Jamil: No. Kalim is hosting another party.

MC: Again? He just had one yesterday, and I've been trying to get us to go on a date for weeks.

Jamil: Can't. Sorry.

Kalim would honestly be your biggest problem while actually dating Jamil. I'd say he'd be almost as good as Trey, otherwise.

Rook:

Another maybe. Sorta like how Jamil has to deal with Kalim, Rook is obsessed with Vil, so you'd kinda have to fight for attention. Honestly, you'd have to fight for his attention with everything. If you're a dull person, you stand no chance in pulling his eyes and actually dating him. However, unlike Jamil who has pretty much no choice in having to deal with Kalim, you'd have to live with the fact that Rook actually chooses other stuff over you.

MC: That's.... that's it?

Rook: *still watching Vil* It is an amazing work of art! *pause* Oooo! Vil looks stunning today!

I feel like you'd have to have really high self-esteem to deal with being showed up by other stuff. It'd honestly really suck.

Honestly? Probably an ok boyfriend. As long as you're also a prankster, at least. If you're too dull or very lowkey, he'd probably gloss right over you. But if you're bubbly and hyperactive like him? Then yes. It'd also work if you're lowkey, but spook easily. I'd say he's alright.

Lilia: *appears behind MC* Hello!

MC: *nearly jumps out of their skin*

Lilia: *laughing*

MC: Not funny!

Not as good as Trey, but I think he'd be fine otherwise. The only big issue would be secrets, so if you aren't ok with your partner keeping a few private details to themselves, Lilia probably wouldn't like you as much. (Or maybe he'd like you more cause he'd get to tease you with it, but you might not like it yourself)

oh he will lose his shi--

he would hesitate to scold whoever his making fun of his child

he would scold whoever bullies them up to the point where they would probably cry

would he feel bad or sorry? hah, of course not.

an irk mark would appear on his head and his face would get super duper red

i lowkey highkey think he won’t hesitate to swear at the kids

he’s just that super overprotective father over their child

once he gets whoever bullies his child to go away, he’d run to them and swoop them in his arms

he would shower them with kisses and assure them everything’s okay

he would tell them to always tell him what’s going on and what those bullies did to them

the next time they tried to pick on his kid again, he was standing there with a horrifying aura around him

the kids were already traumatized by being yelled at and scolded by riddle so they were already thinking of going back

but one of the more annoying kids who tried their best to put up a tough act ignored riddle’s presence and tried their best to try and bully his child once more

but from nowhere, four other people started appearing out of nowhere

of course it was riddle’s child’s precious uncles, cater, trey, ace, and deuce

trey was hesitant at first but ace and deuce really didn’t care if they had to kick a couple of kids’ butts

with the four appearing out of nowhere, the bullies ran away screaming for dear life, vowing to never bully riddle’s child ever again

at the end of the day, the six of them went out for ice cream while enjoying spending time with each other

honestly that kid is really lucky to have an amazingly strict yet loving father and four cool uncles like them

azul had his fair share of being bullied and honestly he wasn’t hesitating when he thought of giving whoever has the guts to bully his kid the worse consequences he can think of

this is downright the thing he loathes the most

he would be furious, but unlike riddle, he would be more like the calm type of pissed

but that’s the thing...sometimes a calm fury is much more horrifying than a fury that explodes in your face

when the bullies were walking home he steps out from the shadows and offer a deal with them

he would persuade them (being the smooth talker he is) with his words and lies and manipulate them to signing a contract and made a deal to him

the next day, his child was surprised that his bullies weren’t there to continue their usual acts on them

no one knows what happened to them, not even their own parents, and their disappearances was now a case trying to be unsolved

of course they were too young to comprehend the fact that the one who could’ve been behind this scheme was their own father

but of course azul didn’t care. what mattered the most to him was that their child was safe and that no one would be there to harm them anymore

besides if there was, then he’d just have to pull the same acts all over again

yes he had to lie to them of course. cover up things, but of course he does it for their benefit. all he cares about is his own child and no one else mattered to him.

one day his child came running home to him in tears

“what’s wrong my precious angel?” “some kids at school called me ugly”

the mirror right in front of vil cracked and shattered into a million pieces

“THEY DID WHAT?!”

no one calls his child ugly. to vil, everything about them was perfect in every way

he would comfort his child and tell them that everything was going to be alright, and that they were beautiful and perfect. vil would tuck them into bed and tell them not to worry about it

that night he would contact rook and tell them to track down whoever the kids were

their child did provide a lot of details, which causes rook to easily track them down

meanwhile he asked epel to look after them while rook and vil were carrying out their...plans

the next day their child woke up to their uncle epel bringing them along to have a fun day at the park

surprise surprise the bullies were there too (they knew of course, thanks to rook)

rook and vil was watching from a hill where they were and where his child and epel was

all of a sudden rook took out a bow and arrow, and all vil did was bring the bow and arrow down and casually said “not now.”

he saw the bullies approaching his child and signaled epel

epel was currently entertaining them by playing kickball with them and without warning he purposely kicked the ball in the bullies’s direction and hit them flat in the face

their nose was bleeding and it was sure going to leave a mark

they left crying and passed vil along the way, making him smirk “serves you right”

the rest of the day was spent with a peaceful day in the park with vil making flower crowns for his precious angel, rook eyeing whoever he suspects was going to even approach you, and epel ready to kick a ball in someone’s face again

malleus draconia

okay whoever has the guts to go bully THE malleus draconia’s child in the first place is kinda...stupid

one day sebek came running back to malleus telling him how his child got picked on and that they were pushed by some kids

because well sebek was personally his child’s bodyguard and honestly he volunteered to do so

malleus would calmly storm to wherever his child was

his intimidating and deadly aura would be enough to scare the bullies away

of course he wasn’t just going to let them get away that easily so...he may or may not have cursed them

“did you curse them? again?” lilia asked him when they met up “...perhaps.”

yes this act was not a first

lilia had his own experience of raising a child and thus he tried his best to teach malleus to not curse whoever gets too close to his child (even if they meant no harm)

well he tried to listen to lilia’s advice...once...but ignored it after five minutes and just straight up cursed them (lol)

he would check up on his child and asked them if they were okay

he would engulf them in the biggest hug and assure them that no one should ever mess with them again

and from that day forward, he would teach his child the basics of self defense magic....

and curses too cuz yeah why not, someone should teach the bullies a lesson

lilia would just sigh from afar, oh well, what else can he do

Mari in Twisted Wonderland | Abridged Version | Heartslabyul

Chapter 1

Mari had her first prophetic dream and she’s like owo whats this

It was about Alice seeing the Card soldiers paint the white roses red and shit.

But then, she was awoken by a loud knocking and wonders who it could possibly be at this hour.

Grim and her decided to go down. Though, she tried finding a weapon first, just in case the person turns out to be some murderer or whatever. Manages to find a knife

They went downstairs to the front door and opened it to see who it was. Turns out that it was Ace.

She relaxes and lets her guard down.

Ace: Is that a knife?!

Mari: Yeah, what if you were a murderer?

Grim: Hah! I would’ve taken care of it myself, puny human— Huh?! You got a collar on!

“I ate a tart,” Ace replied, crossing his arms with a scowl on his features.

Mari tilted her head in confusion and curiosity. “A tart?”

He nodded. “I was hungry when I got back to the dorm and I found some tarts inside the fridge. Three whole tarts! So I ate one and it was really good. Then the dorm leader found me eating his tart and was all like “Tart theft is unforgivable! OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!” and that’s how I got this collar… The end.” He used a shrill and high-pitched voice to imitate his dorm leader’s words.

She couldn’t help but stand in silence at that story, squinting.

“Both of you are in the wrong,” Grim simply remarked with an unamused look on his face. To which the girl nodded in agreement.

“Isn’t sealing away my magic for stealing a tart a bit too far?!” Ace cried out. “For a wizard, it’s like having your arms and legs chained up. And there were three whole tarts, it’s not like he could eat all of them by himself. There’s got to be a limit to how narrow-minded you could be!”

“Which is why you’re both in the wrong,” Mari retorted, “You should’ve asked permission first, but he also shouldn’t be so harsh.”

All he could do was groan at her reply.

Grim’s eyes widened and he crossed his arms. “What if the tarts were for a party? Someone’s birthday, or something. Heh, I’m a genius.” He grinned, sharp teeth glinted in the moonlight.

“Birthday?” Ace asked, placing his hand on the back of his head.

“That might explain why he was so angry,” Mari said, deciding to clean up a little more since she was awake. The two just watched as she did this, not helping because they were little shits.

He huffed, narrowing his eyes at her. “I thought you were gonna say he was being tyrannical, prefect.”

She shrugged. “He was certainly being unreasonable, but it’s wrong to steal,” she replied as she took a broom and sweeped the dusty floor.

Grim glared at him, placing his paws on his hips. “You’re at fault for stealing his tart in the first place.”

“There’s a chance he’ll forgive you if you apologised tomorrow,” the brunette girl advised him as she threw away the dust that she swept up. The wood under her feet creaked as she returned.

“Grudges over food are the worst,” her partner remarked, an unamused expression on his face. His bright blue eyes widened in realisation. “Wait! I never got those tuna cans from the Headmaster!”

“Fine. Whatever. All I gotta do is apologise, right?” Ace sighed. He looked at her with a glare. “This is your idea, so you better come with me.”

All she did was nod. She was going with him regardless anyway.

“So, where do I sleep tonight?” He asked, an inquisitive look in his eye.

“You’re actually staying the night?” Grim crossed his arms. “Every room aside from ours is still a mess. Clean a room for yourself.”

He made a face. “Bleh, I don’t wanna.” Then, he turned to Mari with a smile. “Prefect~ Let me sleep in your room. I’m slim, so I won’t take a lot of space.”

“Aight.”

Grim’s eyes widened to the size of saucers at her lax response. “Ffgnaa?! You’re just going to say yes?!”

“I’m used to sharing beds with people.” Mari proceeded to have a flashback to every time the Demon brothers invited themselves to her room and stayed there without really giving her a choice in the matter, as well as every time she had to sleep in the same room as them. Honestly, at least Ace had the decency to ask first.

“Sweet! Thanks, Mari.” Ace flashed her a grin.

After that, they all went to their rooms to sleep. The boy was right, he didn’t take up much space. Plus, the bed was big enough for the two of them. Unfortunately, Ace hogged the sheets. The bastard.

When morning came, so did the loud knocking. This time it was Deuce and he scolded Ace for getting collared.

While heading to class, Grim teased Ace about his collar and not being able to use magic.

Ace will remember that.

They went to the Heartslabyul dorm and Mari is like -surprised pikachu-

She loves it a lot. The hearts and roses were gorgeous. If only she had magic, then she would’ve been sorted into a nice dorm. Ugh.

No matter. She’d just have to work hard to make the Ramshackle dorm shine.

Then they met the e-boy-- I mean, Cater and he was painting the white roses red.

Mari proceeds to have flashbacks to her dream earlier. Huh. Maybe it was just a coincidence.

Dude recognises them as the notorious first years that broke the 10,000,000 madol chandelier so he takes a selfie with them.

He has them paint the roses with him. Grim accidentally sets the roses on fire, Deuce accidentally turns them blue. Turns out it’s a bad idea to ask freshmen that are inexperienced with magic to do your chores.

Ace complained and asked why they’re painting them red. He said that they look pretty as white roses. Mari agreed and expressed that she felt that the natural colors of the roses were fine.

Cater explained that it’s tradition for roses to be red for Unbirthday parties. And that they use flamingos in seven different colors for croquet with hedgehogs as the balls.

Mari wondered if that was safe or ethical. Either way, this dorm was proving to be quite strange for her.

Ace remembered that he was supposed to apologise. Cater asked if he had a tart of apology and he said no.

Cater told him that he can’t let him in the dorm then. The first years tried fighting him but lost and got kicked out.

The bell rang and they had to really rush to Potions class.

Crewel appeared and Mari had a “Oh no he’s hot!” moment. She paid extra close attention to him during class.

Then it was History class. Mari mostly looked at Lucius more than Trein but was also fascinated with learning the history of Twisted Wonderland.

Then PE came around. Mari saw Vargas and was like “Damn he got some tiddies lmao” Then she dies.

Jk. But the 20 laps and 100 pushups were exhausting for her.

It was break time. Ace and Deuce talked about the classes not being too different from regular school. Mari agreed that they were somewhat similar to the classes she had at RAD.

Then they noticed Grim was trying to skip class.

Ace made fun of Mari for losing him and told her that if she wanted his help, then she should buy him a chocolate croissant. Deuce wanted an iced latte.

All it really took for Mari was to give Deuce her best puppy eyes until he agreed to help. Then she said she didn’t want Ace’s help since he didn’t have his magic anyway. This aggravated him into helping her. Heh, suckers.

Turns out she didn’t really need their help anyway since she just scolded Grim into going with her, saying he won’t become a great wizard if he didn’t put effort into his studies.

It was lunchtime and Grim got into trouble with delinquent upperclassmen over food since he bumped into them and the egg broke. One of them said that breaking the egg is the best part about eating carbonara.

Which confused Mari greatly because she loves eating carbonara and has never ever heard of eating egg on it. Perhaps it was normal in Twisted Wonderland too. Heartslabyul was already strange enough.

They got into a fight but won this time and the delinquents ran off, yelling about pasta again.

The first year group started eating and Grim asked what the other dorms are like. Cater popped up next to them, surprising the four of them. Turns out Trey was with him as well.

Cater basically just tried to get all buddy buddy and exchanged numbers.

Mari told him she didn’t have a phone and he offered to go phone shopping with her and called it a date

Trey told him to chill and they went back on track. Cater started a conversation about the seven dorms.

Octavinelle - Sea Witch’s dorm, huh? Does that mean they’re business guys? Oh look, it’s that weird guy from the entrance ceremony that “wanted Riddle’s collar”

Scarabia - The smart ones, according to Trey. There’s the guy who got his butt set on fire during the entrance ceremony and there’s… a really hot guy that’s exactly her type. His hair looked so long and silky and his eyes were mysterious.

Pomefiore -

Grim: there’s a super cute girl over there!

So apparently Pomefiore is the “Beauty” dorm and the dorm leader has like five million followers on Magicam. That’s cool, but she’s more interested in their poisons.

Ignihyde - Cater called the students of that dorm introverts. Trey said that they were good with technology. They seemed real neat.

Diasomnia - Powerful and considered celebrities, as well as having an aura that makes them hard to approach. Though, Mari lowkey thought that about everyone except that one guy that got his butt set on fire. He seemed very friendly. Maybe it was her social anxiety talking, maybe they were actually just intimidating. Anyway, Lilia popped up from above and scared them. He basically just said that he’s not a child and that Diasomnia welcomes students from other dorms. So there’s that, at least. Though, this doesn’t do anything to extinguish the intimidating aura from the rest of their students. Then the strange dude left.

Ace started talking shit about Riddle while Mari blankly stared at Riddle who was right behind him. Boi he ded

Riddle then went on with his spiel about rulebreakers. Honestly, Mari pretty much spaced out during this in order not to roll her eyes at him.

Then he left to get two sugars for his lemon tea that the rules state that he’s supposed to drink after a meal.

Trey tries to explain that Riddle’s intentions aren’t bad and that he’s just trying to make the dorm better.

To which Mari replies: “Sometimes it doesn’t matter what your intentions are. If you’re clearly making the people around you unhappy and uncomfortable without actual regard for how they feel, then that’s that.”

And Grim said: “Someone with good intentions doesn’t randomly collar people!”

They laughed, but one could easily tell that it wasn’t genuine.

Then bam, more exposition comes and Cater explains what unique magics are.

Then they start talking about tarts. Mari offered to help make one with Trey and Ace while Deuce and Grim wanted out. They only wanted to help after Trey said they could eat some tart if they helped out.

They started chestnut picking and met Leona who was a fucking bitch because she accidentally stepped on his tail.

Jk. He drinks his respect women juice so he’s not as mean and leaves her with only a warning for the most part.

She and Grim got back to Ace and Deuce, they picked the chestnuts and got back to the Heartslabyul dorm to make that tart.

Trey made his whole joke with the oyster sauce but Mari just looked at him with pure disbelief in her eyes. Then Trey realized he needed more ingredients since they brought too much chestnuts and Deuce and Mari volunteered to buy them from the shop. Grim also said he wanted to come since he was tired of mixing flour.

So they go to the Mystery Shop and get the shit. Mari wonders for a moment if Sam has got anything that could possibly help her get home but then shakes her head, saying she’ll see about that later. They head back to the Heartslabyul dorm but run into trouble, then came the reveal of Deuce’s “Bad Boy” personality. Mari was like -surprised pikachu- while he beat the shit out of the delinquents, silently cheering him on. After that, he got upset because his “honor student” persona was gone. It’s especially bad since he felt that he scared Mari.

Achievement unlocked: Deuce’s Backstory

Grim asked if being an honor student meant that he should just grin and bear everything. Mari agreed and reassured that being an honor student didn’t necessarily mean that he should be a pushover. Then she broke it to him that the eggs were unfertilised and would never hatch. Now it was his turn on the surprised pikachu face.

They bought another set of eggs and went back to the Heartslabyul dorm safe and sound. The tart was finished. Hooray! Though, Deuce was still shocked about the chicks so Mari had to pat his back. They started eating some tarts after Cater came by to check on them. He then brought up Trey’s unique magic.

Trey revealed his unique magic and explained it to them. They were impressed. But once they were done, he told Ace he can’t sleep in Heartslabyul and gave him and Deuce permission to sleep in the Ramshackle Dorm so they did.

Next day. They got to the Unbirthday Party and Ace gave the tart to Riddle.

Riddle is like “Fuck you. The Law of the Queen of Hearts says one must never bring a mont blanc tart to an Unbirthday Party! REEEEEEE” And then Mari wonders how many rules there are. He answers with 810 and that he memorized them since he’s dorm leader. She’s like “Dude, he’s a freshman, he can’t possibly memorize every rule.” To which Riddle countered with “I memorized them on my first day in NRC! If I can do it, then he should be able to as well.”

“Not everyone has to be like you!” She proceeds to have flashbacks to her narcissistic grandmother who always believed that she was right and demanded that everyone be like her. This causes her to dislike him.

“As the dorm leader of Heartslabyul, out of respect to the strictness of the Queen of Hearts, I can’t ignore this violation. Throw the mont blanc and these rulebreakers out!”

Ace started arguing with him as well and the two third years tried to help. Riddle goes on about how he has the highest grades and is the most powerful, which makes him the most correct. This makes Mari’s stomach churn more because of how much he reminds her of her grandmother. Grim says he’s a selfish tyrant who wastes food and ends up getting himself and Deuce collared as well.

Then they get thrown out by the third years and meet Chenya, who gives them a tip to talk to Trey and unlock Riddle’s tragic backstory.

And they did. Because it’s always a good idea to listen to the advice of a strange guy who pops into conversations head-first, literally.

Achievement Unlocked: Riddle’s Backstory Part 1

Mari’s reaction was that she sympathised with him and understood, considering that her grandmother was somewhat similar. However--

“His past is not an excuse for him to be a tyrant. Perhaps that’s harsh of me to say, but I still stand by it. He believes he’s right all the time and fails to notice how miserable the rest of Heartslabyul is.”

Ace put in his two cents and said it was Trey’s fault that he’s like this, dropping a truth bomb on him. Mari agreed and said “Friends help each other to become better people, not allow them to grow worse and worse.” Then he called Trey lame for being afraid of getting his head chopped off.

Crowley pops up like “STFU THIS IS THE LIBRARY YOU LIL SHITS” and they said he was the loudest so he started whispering “stfu you lil shits”

They explained the situation and he suggested moving dorms but Ace was like “but thats a pussy move” so he suggested fighting Riddle to the death for the position of dorm leader. But without the “to the death” part. Ace and Deuce agreed to challenge Riddle. Grim wanted to go too but Crowley said other people from different dorms can’t so he got sad.

Timeskip to the match and it was over in less than 5 seconds. Mari told Riddle that he was wrong but then he started mocking her and her family for barely being able to use magic and having a bad education and then called her completely inadequate. She just looked at him blankly considering that she didn’t particularly care about him insulting her or her parents.

But then Ace punched him for saying that. And Mari was internally like, “I have decided that I love this guy”. Then he went onto this speech about how kids aren’t their parents’ trophies and that it was Riddle’s fault for not making a friend scold him for being a tyrant. He also calls him a baby. But not like the “uwu baby” kinda way, the kind of immature brat kinda way.

Shit hits the fan and Trey finally had enough and used his unique magic to overwrite Riddle’s to remove the magic-sealing collars. Then Riddle fucking overblots.

Mari is definitely surprised. Then noticed the creature behind him to look similar to the beast she and the shared brain cell trio fought in the Dwarves’ Mines. So, she steeled herself and ordered the trio to attack Riddle, especially once Crowley said that he’d lose his life if this went for too long. The third years came to help as well while their Headmaster evacuated the other students.

And they beat the shit out of Riddle. Then Mari kinda spaces out again and has this vision of Riddle’s past. This wasn’t the first time she has seen a vision of someone else’s past, but it still confused her. She wasn’t in the Devildom anymore, and she didn’t have magic.

Achievement Unlocked: Riddle’s Backstory Part 2

Then she’s shaken back to earth by Ace and he’s like “Oi, don’t space out now, dumbass.” “Did you see that?” “See that Riddle overblotted? How could I not?!” “Nevermind”

Riddle is crying and she feels bad so she rubs his back. Her motherly instincts get the better of her at this point. He’s surprised at how she’s treating him, considering the only female figure he had in his life was his mother who was strict and harsh. When Ace started yelling at him, she scolded him and told him to yell at him later.

“Ace, cut him some slack. You can yell at him when he’s recovered. He almost died ffs” “SO DID WE”

Then he told Riddle to do the Revenge Unbirthday Party. Riddle agreed before Mari and Crowley decided to take him to the infirmary. Since she was gone, Grim got to eat the black rock again.

While Riddle was recovering from blot, Mari took it upon herself to help him out. He appreciated it a lot.

After the Revenge Unbirthday Party, Mari thought about her experience so far. The strange dreams, the overblot, the vision.

Then she remembered something. Before leaving the Devildom, Barbatos pulled her aside and had a talk with her. He held her hand and a faint glow emitted from it before he let her go. “A fragment of my power,” he said. But she didn’t understand what he meant.

When she slept that night, she saw Belphie and nearly cried because she missed him. Then she explained what happened to her and that she was in Twisted Wonderland. He told her that he’ll inform the others so that they can find a way to get her back, and that she should hang on in the meantime.

And so she did, unaware that her adventure just begun.

• The family is confused AF when they see the ears and tail. Older brother definitely makes a joke about it, he and Leona proceed to glare at each other. I intially think it’s because of The Joke but it’s actually both of them being stupid protective.

• Actually gets along very well with my mom. Very much respects her, honestly likes her best out of everyone there. Thinks that my dad and brother are fine, but probably gives big brother the unintentional side eye ‘cause he’s the eldest and he has Older Brother Issues. But that’s more him being protective of me than anything.

• Leaves a pretty good impression, mostly on mom though. Family approves, brother is wary. Leona also approves, and is probably really smug about the meeting going well.

『Cater Diamond』

• “What kind of joke is this”

• They literally do not believe us at first when I say I’m dating Cater. They heard me talk so much about lacking feelings that when I come home and say “this is my boyfriend, Cater Diamond” they actually ask if I’m joking. When Cater says I’m not, dad probably tells my brother that he owes him fifty bucks.

• “She was so insistent! Like c’mon, she was insisting with Lucas and her feelings for him literally could not have been more platonic.” “Yeah, but she also didn’t talk about Lucas very much, and she didn’t get a Magicam for that guy. Fifty bucks.” “Bunny, your family was placing bets on us??!!??!”

• They get along well enough, even though they probably find Cater a bit annoying at first and have no idea how I get along with him. Then they see how genuinely loving he is, completely get it, and 2000% approve.

• After that he basically integrates himself into the family. Right before he leaves dad asks when the wedding is. I proceed to shriek for him to shut up, shove Cater out the door and try to book it home while they laugh at us. Cater teases me the entire way back home. In short; it goes very well.

『Trey Clover』

• Trey comes prepared, because he comes bearing gifts. He makes a whole tart for dessert, mom and brother’s allergies in mind, and it’s an amazing one too because he made it. Already leaving a good impression, and his general demeanour is also great help with bonus points. Approved of the second he brought sweets but is still in the judgement process.

• Honestly this ends up the smoothest meeting of them all, Trey wins everybody over. He’s respectful of them and me, doing well, and isn’t overly affectionate at any point during the visit. You’d think he’s known them forever by the end of things, and even offers to help make dinner with my dad.

• ALSO HIGHKEY GETS ALONG WITH DAD BECAUSE THEY CAN TALK ABOUT COOKING

• Ends up a little scared of my mom because that’s just mom, but he knows he’ll be fine. He does his best to treat me well, after all, so he’s in the safe zone. Doesn’t mean she’s not scary tho

• Over all this goes over the best. Man won them over with the tart, what do you expect?

『Dire Crowley』

• “I HAVE BROUGHT YOU A GIFT BECAUSE I AM SO KIND”

• Okay he’s not THAT over the top but the most confusion is faced here. His… odd appearance definitely raises some eyebrows, as does the repeated declarations of how kind and gracious he is, but the family does find him quite likeable. Even though mom sees his mask and is probably thinking “what in the hell?????”

• Gets along absurdly well with dad. It’s an absolute mess of dad jokes, everywhere. The house descends into chaos as a result of terrible dad humour. Everyone is suffering, and I am internally regretting the massive amount of chaos I have brought upon this world by allowing them to cross paths. It’s terrible. Set us free.

• Crowley is genuinely very sweet though, the family approves, brother is probably convinced he’s dumb though. “Bird I didn’t know you were into himbos” “ETHAN SHUT THE HELL UP”

• The family is just… utterly baffled by this man, but he makes me laugh, so he walks away with a stamp of approval.

『Divus Crewel』

• “What the fresh hell is that coat” “Bronwen, love… your family has horrible taste.”

• Brother judges the coat, HARD, and is at odds with Divus all freaking night. He judges so hard, with subtle digs at my brother’s clothes (I’ll be the first to tell you he has some hideous coats) so they basically having a low-key verbal battle. Bro thinks we don’t notice. Everyone notices.

• Divus is internally judging fashion and decoration in the house, but since my parents are nice to him, he doesn��t comment and is rather polite. It’s a little stuffy at first but does go quite well, because of the usual “you make her happy, so regardless of our opinion that’s the most important thing”.

• Once they actually get talking and loosen up it does go a lot better, although he and my brother remain At Odds© the whole time. Eventually it turns into more of a joke than anything serious, although he does low-key threaten to set Divus’ coat on fire if he ever breaks my heart. “I hope you won’t miss that rag you cookies and cream bitch” “WATCH YOUR FUCKING LANGUAGE ETHAN”

• On the way home Divus remarks that he can see why I care for them so much, and he’s glad I have such a supportive family. Overall goes well!

『Rook Hunt』

• Everyone is so, very confused. They can kinda understand French so they hear some of his weird nicknames and are internally bluescreening. They aren’t sure if I brought the right guy home or if this is even real. Why is he so weird, they think, why is this happening, is this real life?????

• Rook, however, is very respectful and comes with a small host gift for them! Also despite his dramatic flair, they can clearly see how dedicated he is and do approve of that. They just… don’t understand him sometimes. Plus the many nicknames and compliments he has for me internally makes them gag. We’re sappy as heck, and it’s the toned down version at the house.

• He loves talking to my dad! They talk about hunting, since dad used to hunt as a kid, and they share stories together. He loves the other childhood stories dad has to tell, and overall they get along great.

• Rooks walks away with confused approval, the family doesn’t understand him at all and thinks he’s a slightly strange, mysterious guy, but they do like him.

• Saved the best for last because of course!!!!

• He towers over everyone. Malleus is so tall, he’s taller than my dad, he’s taller than everybody, mom, dad and my brother are making sure he doesn’t hit his horns on the doors because they worry. Malleus is genuinely shocked by how kind they are, but is already loving them because of it. It’s so sweet and adorable!

• Malleus is worried that he’s going to intimidate them, but is surprised that they aren’t at all. Everyone is nice, albeit they’re judging him on the “are you good enough for the baby” kind of way. He laughs a little when they step away, remarking that Sebek would give them a lecture for how they’re acting- but he likes it. They’re not treating him like he’s on some other level, just like he’s a person.

• He probably brings up the fact he’s a literal prince- and a fairy- only when asked, and while everyone is surprised he’s relieved when they keep going as normal afterwards. Even the fact that he’s Maleficent’s actual descendant doesn’t shake them and he’s legit surprised. They’re just like “that’s funky, do you want more tea?”

• It’s a very calm and cheerful evening. He particularly likes my mom, and overall, this probably goes the best. Malleus just completely wins them over, especially with how kind he’s acting towards me, they’re glad that I found somebody I love so much- and who loves me back.

• Walks away with a glowing stamp of approval and wants to come back sometime!

BONUS:

• Malleus happily talks about the “wonderful family” I have once he gets back to see Lilia and the others, talking about the evening. Sebek just about has a stroke over how casually they acted, Silver is taking a nap, and the conversation ends with Lilia wanting to meet them too. Sebek desperately wants to lecture me about them being casual, but also goes “I can’t do it she’s in a relationship with the young master I can’t scold his girlfriend” so he’s internally exploding.

Chapter 132

Chris

"I know you said let's not talk about you being here but I wanna know when you leaving." Sevyn says leaning on my chest.

"You acting like you care bout me."

She stands up. "I had enough of the flirting and my Bae needed me. I'm glad that I was there at the time. Me and MiMi were in the room with Lane. I'm lowkey feeling some type of way about not being in there this time. But I'm happy as hell that her baby's father and his mama... April and Trey was there. Still pissed though."

"I'm leaving back out in a few hours." I say taking out my phone.

"I heard on social media about your ex being at your concert." Sevyn says.

I knew it would come up. "Seems like a setup that you had left the day before. You set that up?"

"Me? I setup drama?" she laughs.

"If you wanna know I didn't talk with her the whole time she was there."

"Come on Chris. All 3 days of her being on tour."

I should have know she would get the whole story from one of those niggas that was there. She might even have proof that I talked to her. I scrunch up my face at her. Somebody tell me why I lied and how the hell to get out of it. Can goof my way out of shit with Sevyn. She not laughing at shit during a serious moment.

"To be more specific we had only general conversation. Not much to say."

"I already know everything. Unless there's something you wanna tell me about Kae."

"Not that I can think of. You got something?"

"Nope, didn't ask no questions after that. I wanna be convinced that you got your shit together and we not dealing with simple bullshit. I only wanna deal with the problems that arise between our schedules and business."

I hug her. "Tell me you flying back."

"I got to at least see Cammie home."

"Okay. I understand that."

Lane walks into the room with Rollie. "Hey, Chris. Why you here?"

"Why you here?"

"See my Daddy get me."

I smile at him. "Oh. Ok little dude. What happened with your parents?"

Rollie sits down. "My mom? Yeah, she in the gift store. My parents with an s, not both present."

"I said that."

"I wonder who called them. They said they got on the plane as soon as they heard the news. Fucking Cammie. You seen her yet?"

I shake my head. "Naw."

"She not going to be right if that baby doesn't go home with her."

"I know." Sevyn nods. "They keep Lane for a day without her. They were begging her to go home and rest."

I shake my head. "No. Trey already has all this together. If the baby stays and Cammie goes they are moving the baby into a private room with a private nurse and doctor. I was there when talked to the hospital administrative. She isn't going to be required to leave."

Rollie nods. "Money talks. How much is this going to cost?"

"His insurance company is paying for most of it. You pay an as of money a month and they will fucking do anything. He has some type of premium plan for maternal shit. He also get paid maternity leave."

"Wait Trey get paid for her having the baby?" Rollie snaps. "But he is working. He going on tour."

"I don't know how that works since she had him early."

Sevyn smiles really hard. "His name is going to be Caden. I'm so ready to see him."

Rollie grabs Lane's hand. "Let's go find your daddy."

"No. I hungry for that chips. The chips."

"No you not. Come on."

Lane has no choice with Rollie. He doesn't cry or fuss with Rollie. I hug Sevyn. I really do miss her being around but if she has to be here I understand that too.

"I'll fly out with you then come back when Trey leaves. They need time to themselves. She not gonna have much time for me." Sevyn says.

"Me liky."

Sevyn walks away from me. "We should follow Rollie to see Cammie."

I follow behind her then stop. I keep getting messages from a random number talking about some stupid ass Jess shit. Jess was this girl before me and Sevyn got together. Jess got annoying really fast with her hating ass. She nothing but a basic bitch who grabbed my lonely as attention. None of these texts make sense. Maybe I shouldn't have deleted them as they came in.

"You all in that phone doing what?" she asks nicely.

"Deleting shit about this Jess girl."

"What about her?"

I shrug. "I sorta deleted the meaning. Something about a regret. Nothing makes sense."

The way that Sevyn looks at makes me even more confused. What is she thinking? Ok, I did lie just a tad bit. It wasn't completely before Sevyn and I started dating officially. Some days might have crossed. She didn't ask that though. So I didn't lie. I didn't lie about deleting the shit either.

"Awh." Sevyn says forgetting about me completely. "I wish that Cammie's baby was in there. This baby is too fat to be a newborn."

"There aren't as many babies as on TV."

"Of course not. Normal people have their babies in the room with them most of the time. These babies probably getting test done."

I look around the room at the different machine and things they had up. One of the nurse looks up then stares at us really hard. I like how quiet but public hospitals are. Most of the people you run into are busy working and can't be all in your face.

"I don't have baby fever right now."

"What?" Sevyn says looking at me.

I smile. "Reality hits when you think about all that shit happening unlike you plan."

I turns towards me. "Like your ex being pregnant."

"What?"

"Jess."

I can't figure this girl out. "That's not what she is saying."

"You wouldn't know if you didn't read them. I know for a fact she pregnant."

"And you taking this lightly? She can't fucking pick who her baby daddy is."

Sevyn walks away. "I ain't dwelling on your shit. I'm thinking about my baby who in the NICU. Fuck your shit."

Cammie

"Good morning." Dr. Polk exclaims. "How are you feeling?"

"I hope you sounding all perky and shit means good news."

April touches my shoulder. "Cammie. Don't talk baby. Just listen."

She has been encouraging me not to talk for the last longest. Apparently everything I say is negative and full of attitude. I had a good talk with MiMi without being negative. Whatever. I can be quiet as long as the right information is being discussed.

"Did you decide on a name? I would love to talk about him properly."

"Caden." Trey says walking into the room.

The doctor smiles. "His lungs are more undeveloped than I would have expected for his gestational age. He is a great weight and full of energy."

"Full of energy?" Trey asks. "How would you rate that?"

"Most baby's are sluggish and less responsive. Yes of course he doesn't move like you would initially think of moving. The main thing is he is acting like a health newborn. He will open his eyes and move when touched." Dr. Polk says then pauses to see if Trey understood. "We do have him on oxygen to give his lungs time to develop. We have him under an incubator because his temperature was a little low."

"That means he will go home like a umm..."

April finishes his statement. "A full term baby."

That damn doctor still was perky. "As of right now no. We have to keep a eye out for other things that develop hours after birth. Jaundice and feeding issues. There's things I can't confirm until he has had all his test. Have the nurses here talked with you about the parenting classes and breastfeeding?"

"She wouldn't talk to them." Trey says dryly.

"You would still need to pump. He doesn't have any infection which is the best news. We want to keep him that way."

"What does breastmilk have to do with that?" Trey asks.

Everyone kinda gives him a look like shut up with your questions. I touch his hand. He should have known about that. But then again he probably didn't read the information April gave him about babies. I'm sure he didn't if he asking why he has to take a parenting class. He glances at me then the doctor.

"Breastmilk reduces the risk of infection."

"When can we see him?"

The doctor smiles. "Now. Only two people are allowed in the room. I understand that you have special arrangements for him. As of right now we still want to keep the risk of infection down, so only allowing two people inside the room would be best. The nurse didn't say where the baby is being moved but I approve the move."

Trey nods. "Okay."

"Moved? To another hospital?"

"No. Into a private room."

I take a deep breath. "You got to say that."

"What about my toddler? Can he see the baby?"

"I wouldn't suggest that today. Children carry bugs that only affect children." he pauses. "Let do this. How old is he?"

"2 and a half."

"I'll give the little guy a quick check up and when you move into the new room away from the other babies he can come in. If he passes his check up."

I smile. "He is not going to care about seeing a baby. Can I hold the baby?"

"I know you are anxious but not just yet."

"Okay." I sigh. "I been through this before."

The doctor seems to get excited about that. "Your son was premature?"

I start to roll my eyes at him. "He wasn't classified as premature because he was 38 weeks but I did have to leave him in the hospital. He had falsely failed his PKU test. Or... Yeah I think that one. And he had hypoglycemia."

"What the hell is that?" Trey asks then laughs.

"Low blood sugar. Why you laughing?" I snap.

He kisses me. "Nothing."

There's a tap on the door then loud ass Lane talking. I sit up in the bed. Look at my big boy. He punches Rollie then tries to kick him. Rollie spins him around then push him forward. Lane wasn't done with him though.

"Lane." I say.

"What?" he stops fighting Rollie. "Oh, it's the mommy."

He runs over to the bed then looks at Trey. He forgets all about being excited to see me. He runs around the bed to the side where Trey is.

"He looks pretty healthy. Let me send a nurse in." the doctor says walking out.

"What's up with the baby?" Rollie asks kissing me cheek.

I smile. "Same old shit."

Rollie chuckles. "I got some new shit. What really going on though?"

"His lungs aren't developed. They have to run test on him. He doesn't have any infection. I been drinking the hell out of that cranberry juice."

"I'm thankful he didn't get infection from you being dilated for so long." April says.

I roll my eyes. "I'm mad you got to hold my baby and I didn't. I didn't even see him."

"I got a picture of him as they were cleaning him." Helen says giving me my phone.

"You are heaven sent." I say grabbing it and flipping through the pictures.

Trey puts Lane on the bed. Lane feels like whenever someone says look or pictures his face has to be in the phone first so he can see. He doesn't care if your face is already there. I push him back so I could find the picture. He gets mad.

"Mommy, stop." he cries.

"Lane, you wait. Be respectful."

Lane pouts.

"It's not like he is going to like it. He was fighting me cause I said you had a baby." Rollie says.

"You might want to record this then." I laugh. "Awh, look at him."

"I see. I see." Lane says impatiently.

I give him the phone. "See Caden."

Lane makes a face. "I me?"

"No. That's Caden, not you."

"What that?" Lane says staring at the picture. "A baby?"

"Your brother."

Lane swipes the picture away. "No. That not a brother."

Trey chuckles. "He not trying to get it."

"No. He is a mess." I say then look at Rollie. "What news do you have?"

"Me?" Rollie says taking the phone from Trey. "Oh, visitors. You got visitors."

I roll my eyes. "No, shut. Don't... I'm on a short fuse right now. Don't play. I seriously don't feel like it. It hasn't hit me that my baby isn't in me still."

"Ma and her husband are in town."

"What the f... Freaking heck for?"

Trey laughs. "Jay you should hear yourself."

Rollie smiles then gets serious. "To see you and the new baby."

"Lord." April says.

"Amen to that. Call him cause I sure need him." I say rolling my eyes. "And miss church?"

Trey kisses me. "People are allowed to correct their mistakes. We talked about this."

"Yeah." I sigh.

"If you hold on to your grudge and not give them a chance you gonna be the bad person before it's all over." Rollie says. "Guess who picked them up?"

I laugh. "Not you."

"As long as you doing some forgiving and they doing right I'm with it. I'll even support it."

"So you called them?"

"No." Rollie retorts. "I said support not encourage."

Before I could ask April she says. "So who called?"

I shrug. "Probably MiMi."

"It is what it is." Trey says picking Lane up.

"I'm so ready to get up. Helen?" I say looking for her.

"Let's check you then make a decision." she says. "If you all wouldn't mind giving us a minute."

Trey scrunches up his face. "Check what? How are you going to determine if she can get up?"

"Tremaine, either step out or shut up." I say.

"We'll be out here." April says grabbing Lane. She whispers something to Trey.

He looks at me then sits down in the chair quiet. I bet he won't ask no more questions like that. He hates hearing about blood. He refused to take any part in the baby being pushed out. I know him. I told him he can wait outside. I raise my eyebrows at him. He smiles a bit. He cool won't let his true feelings show right now.

"You on something?" I ask.

"Why do people keep asking me that? How am I acting?"

I lay back in the bed. "Very together. Too calm."

"Mm."

I chuckle. "Okay."
