• he hates to admit it but he loves watching kid movies, especially with his little. he'll stay and finish the movie even if his little gets bored of it and goes to do something else

• let's his little look at his drafts and will write down suggestions they give, even the silly ones. like "this scene would be better with a dinosaur in it!"

• he normally doesnt like being interrupted when hes working, but he doesnt mind when his little does it. hes fine with taking a break from writing/editing to get his little a sippy cup, help find a stuffie, etc

• in general hes a pretty laidback cg. he doesnt have many rules for his little except ones to keep them safe. he'll let them do (mostly) whatever they want while he gets dragged along

• being a bit talkative himself, he loves when his little is talkative, even if it's just baby talk. he responds to baby talk conversationally ("abababa" "oh, really? what happened next?") and in general talks a lot with his little

• hes the best storyteller. whether it's reading already written stories or writing his own, he's the best. he reads his little a new bedtime story every night, as well as reading stories during the day if requested. he can come up with good ones on the spot too

In my post, “This Whole Situation,” I discuss how Donnie doesn’t see himself or his mutation as something that needs to be hidden away. He wears clothes when he's out and about, and that’s about it. However, as turtlemen in the middle of NYC, sometimes they need to actually wear disguises. So, what does Donnie do in those cases?

Old ladies? Well, that’s a choice. And the way Leo phrased the question is interesting as well.

“Why do you always make us dress up as old ladies.”

This means that every time it’s up to Donnie to choose the disguise, it’s not up for discussion. They’re going to be old ladies. Period.

But the most interesting part of this scene is Donatello's answer to Leo's question.

You would think that blending in would be the main goal, but no. Donnie’s main goal with his chosen disguise is: comfort. He’s not willing to sacrifice his own comfort just to make other people comfortable with his presence.

He’ll wear a disguise if he must, but only on his own terms.

And I’m happy that he can set his boundary and stick to it.

Never change, Donnie, never change…

…Does anyone else see Leo’s old lady drip?! Where did he get those pearls from? Forget the pearls, where did he get the pantyhose? Did he style his own wig? How long did it take for him to put on his makeup? What color eyeshadow is that? Look at those lashes! Look at those bazongas! He put so much work into his fit, no wonder he received a compliment.

hey. it's okay that your self-ship blog is small.

your blog doesn't need to be big or be noticed by tons of people to be considered a "good" one. your self-ship doesn't need to be noticed and praised by tons of people to be considered valid. you don't need any followers to help validate that your self-ship is good enough.

the point of self-shipping is to feel love for a character in a way that makes you happy. a romantic f/o is supposed to make you feel special and loved. a platonic f/o is supposed to make you feel like someone has your back. a familial f/o is supposed to make you feel like you have someone to come home to. a pet f/o is supposed to make you feel happy and joyful. an enemy f/o is supposed to make you feel creative.

getting a lot of notes, a ton of asks, a bunch of followers- that doesn't matter. self-shipping is not a popularity thing, it's not a trend, it's not something you should feel the need to put yourself out for.

you should do it to have fun, feel comforted, be safe, think of yourself, take care of your mental and physical health. do it because it makes you happy. do it for your f/o that'll know you better than any follower or anon ever will.

• hes a little and a middle, regressing to either 4-7 ish or 10-12 ish

• he tends to be pretty quiet when regressed (especially when on the younger side), sometimes to the point of not talking at all. he'll point or write to communicate instead

• hes very curious, and most of what he does say when little is "what's that?" he also tends to wander, to get a closer look at something he's curious about or just to look around in general

• absolutely loves kid movies, but tends to like live action ones more than cartoons. if hes feeling more talkative, he'll infodump about the movie while watching it and after it's over

• most of the time he involuntarily regresses after a stressful/hard day to relax and recover from the stress. he sometimes voluntarily regress if he hasnt regressed in a while or otherwise feel it would help him

• when hes in middle space he spends most of his time writing or playing nostalgic games. he'll write scripts or other little stories he comes up with. but if he can get his hands on arcade or old console games, he'll spend most of his time playing those
