"He'll always choose me over you."
Dick was prepared for the right hook Bruce delivered. He wasn't, however, prepared for the sheer force put into the punch.
"Shit, Bruce." He spat out the metallic taste on his tongue. "I thought you said this was just a spar."
"It is a spar."
"Then why does it feel like you're just using me as a punching bag?"
The two alphas circled each other slowly on the mat. Dick had lost track of how much time had passed since they'd begun. All he knew was the way Bruce was acting made Dick's hackles rise and triggered his furious instincts.
"You're overthinking it," Bruce countered. "You're just a bit out of shape. Try harder."
He lunged with another punch ready, but this time Dick blocked him and locked them in position to snarl in Bruce's face.
"You forget I'm a master at dealing with your bullshit."
Dick slammed his knee into Bruce's gut then delivered a hit to the chest with his elbow. He finished off with a backflip kick and landed gracefully a good distance away from the older alpha.
"This about Damian asking me to share his heats, isn't it?"
Bruce growled. Jackpot.
Dick huffed ironically, lips forming a condescending smirk.
"God, you're such a manchild. It's not my fault I treated him so good the first time. Sounds like a skill issue."
It was a taunt. Dick knew why Damian came to him - they had a special emotional bond. Dami trusted him.
And one day, Dick hoped it would become more.
Bruce didn't have that with Damian, and Dick knew the man was jealous. He was Damian's Batman first, and Bruce couldn't take that away from them.
He wouldn't let him.
Dick was ready to block the right hook this time.
"He's my Pack Omega," Bruce grunted in his Batman voice. "You're attempting to take a position that should not be yours."
"Yeah well that doesn't make you his alpha either!" Dick growled, flashing his fangs. "The Pack Omega made his choice and not even you can contest it."
The spar turned into a full blown fight as Bruce grew more aggressive with his punches and Dick pulled all the stops to taunt and push back as much as possible. This was personal, now.
"Even if you win, it still won't change anything," Dick spat. "Damian will always choose me, not you."
"If I win, you will stop playing mates with my omega."
"He's not yours! He's mine!"
"THAT'S ENOUGH!"
Both alphas froze mid-fight as their heads snapped toward the direction of the shout. Damian stood on the cave's railing, scent reeking of fury and indignation.
"Both of you should be ashamed of yourselves." He scoffed. "I am not a prize for you to act like immature children who do not want to share their toys! I am a person with my own feelings, you foolish alphas!"
"Dami, that's not--" Dick fumbled, but was promptly cut off.
"Save it, Grayson. I had expected better from you, especially when I chose you to help me through my heats. But it seems to me that my judgement was poorly placed."
Damian glared at the Pack Alpha with the same intensity.
"Neither of you are stepping foot in my nest this cycle."
Bruce and Dick exploded in protests, but Damian merely dismissed them with a growl.
"I have other alphas to give that privilege. I'm sure Drake or Todd wouldn't be too opposed. They've been sniffing after me for a while now."
He turned on his heels, tossing them a cold glance.
"I hope this will be an enlightening moment for you both."
With that, the Pack Omega strutted away, leaving behind two sulking and fuming alphas.
But the lesson wasn't learned, because they would blame each other for this terrible outcome for many days.

First of all, no, no it’s not. “Fictional people fans think should kiss” could not be more abstracted from real life. Get some fuckin perspective, mate.
Second of all, let’s be real here. You just don’t like it. It’s okay to just not like things, or to even be squicked by them. You don’t have to make up reasons why it’s actually bAaAaAaD. You can just go “it squicks me. Next!”
Thirdly, if your issue really is “I believe the very concept to be disrespectful to adopted families” there’s an easy fix for this.
The obvious solution?
Make them all blood related.
Boom. No more issues with “adopted vs. blood related family” anymore!

1: sexuality headcanon - I oscillate between gay and asexual according to what my brain wants at the moment.
2: otp - Damidick, especially in a Reverse Robins scenario.
3: brotp - DamiRose. Rose took from her dad the knack to deal with kids and I fell in love with their dynamic. I think they'd be the best youngest siblings team-up lol
4: notp - BruDami. It falls into a bit of a squicky space for me. I'm working to expand my kink repertoire though!
5: first headcanon that pops into my head - He'll insult people under his breath in Arabic when they're not paying attention to him, only to go "nothing" when they ask what he just said. It was the filthiest shit known to man.
6: favorite line from this character - I'm not entirely sure when he says it (I remember a Nightwing issue by Tim Seeley but I might be mistaken), and it's when he tells Dick something along the lines of "You will always be the Batman to my Robin".
7: one way in which I relate to this character - I love all living creatures too lol his love for animals (and wanting to have a pet-everything) is very relatable.
8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character - Stop making him a Mary Sue please he can't lift 200 pounds with just one arm he might be strong but he's still a tiny kid.
9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? - Cinnamon roll! Yeah he has issues but he's still a very good kid.

No longer yours (Reverse Robins AU)
The doors to the Wayne manor burst open just as Bruce exited his private study and entered the foyer to see a frantic Damian talking to a worried Jason. Alfred was standing near the stairs and only bowed his head politely when the Pack Omega rushed upstairs.
"What's going on?" Bruce interrogated.
"I think Dick's presenting," Jason replied. "He's been acting all weird and in pain. I called Dames over because I figured he'd want to take care of Dickie."
That was reasonable, he thought. Everybody knew Damian saw Dick as his own pup. But still, it irked him that his oldest had been absent from the den for quite some time now and it only took Dick to be in distress for him to suddenly rush back. Nevermind the fact that Bruce had been restlessly trying to gently coax Damian to return to no avail because of how stubborn he was whenever he gave his Pack Alpha the 'runaway treatment'. The jealousy stung.
And suddenly, it all became clear when another person walked through the door and leaned against the frame in a nonchalant stance. Bruce felt his shoulders tense.
"Tim."
The estranged alpha raised an eyebrow condescendingly.
"Bruce."
The air in the foyer had grown thick.
Jason shuffled uncomfortably, his eyes darting between the two men. He'd never once liked being present when they challenged each other - which was a very fair, considering there was always a 3 out of 5 chances it would end in a predatory brawl.
"Oh no, I'm not gonna stay here for this," He shook his head. "Come on Alfie, let's go see if Damian and Dick needs any help."
The teen was quick to remove himself from the situation, a smart decision whenever it came to Bruce and Tim's confrontations. Alfred shot them a disapproving, exasperated glance.
"Be civil, you two," He chided, and followed Jason's direction.
Bruce and Tim were left alone, hackles rising at the presence of a challenge in dominance.
"Damian was with you," Bruce broke the silence.
"Deduced that with your detective mind, did you?" Tim shot back.
It didn't come as a surprise to Bruce, but it didn't mean it was a pleasant one. He never liked how close Damian and Tim had gotten. The omega had taken to run to Tim more often than he'd have preferred, after every single explosive argument. It didn't help that Tim always defied him, too, despite being the lower Alpha.
Thought perhaps that was where the problem lied. After his death, Bruce knew Tim had never truly returned to the Wayne pack and found it easier to thwart him in every way.
"We were having a lovely evening, when Jason called. I drove Dames here on my motorcycle," Tim continued, taking a few steps forward with a condescending smirk on his face. "I didn't have the heart to say no when I saw the panic on his face."
They were chest to chest, now. Bruce's fists clenched at the clear connotation.
"He's stayed with me for weeks. What did you do this time, huh?"
"I don't think you need to meddle with our business," Bruce resisted the urge to growl.
"See, that's the thing," Tim snorted sardonically. "If you're not careful, he won't be your Pack Omega for much longer."
Bruce felt his blood ran cold at the implication. The air was thick with his sour scent, Tim's possesively smug one and - Damian's sweet, honeyed-milk smell wafting off of the younger alpha.
Damian had scented Tim. And no doubt the gesture was returned tenfold, as it was the nature of a courting Alpha-Omega pair.
As if to emphasize his point, Tim titled his head to the side and tapped his neck with an index finger twice. Bruce's eyes zeroed in on the glorious mating bite there. There was no word needed to imply that a bigger, identical, more evident mark was embedded on Damian's scent gland as well.
"Better start puppy-proofing the manor, old man," Tim whispered dangerously, eyes glinting dark and possessive before climbing up the stairs to presumably join the rest of the pack - to join his fresh new mate.
Fuck.

What is BruRobin Week? A DC Fandom event week to celebration Bruce Wayne's relationships with his Robins.
Which ships are included in BruRobin Week? We welcome any ship that pairs Bruce with his Robins, including BruDick, BruJay, BruTim, BruSteph, BruDami and BruDuke. We also welcome any and all poly interpretations of this relationship!
Can I only create for a character's Robin era? We welcome works with Robins of any age. If your Robin has gone on to create other personas, you're welcome to depict them in that era. So long as your chosen character was a Robin at some point in canon, and you ship them with Bruce, your work qualifies for the event.
When does BruRobin Week run? This event will run from 6th to 12th November 2023. For more crucial dates, please check our schedule.

hi! i have posted a few batcest fics but i was wondering if u had any tips on getting more involved with the community, mostly on twitter. i don't have a twitter acc dedicated to it yet but i follow some accs on my priv (yours included obviously) and the way people add onto threads and talk to eachoter abt it is really exciting. i'm nervous tho because i've never had an acc for something my irl friends aren't into and idk how to get mutuals or if it's okay to reply to tweets from people that don't follow you. i hope this made sense i'm just really scared abt reaching out to ppl

ive actually only been active on the batcest side of twitter for a few months (august was when i got more active and started following accounts)! before i got into batcest i didn't really go on twitter but so many talented people are on there and make such amazing tweets and au's i basically go on there once a day now haha 😄! that's probably because outside of places like discord there's really no concentrated communities or places to interact with people who like batcest in a way that feels more...active? on tumblr you can go weeks or days without every directly interacting with someone. tiktok is hostile to anyone with a brain plus it can show your videos to complete steangers outside of your intended audience which can be....yeah. instagram isnt bad but it would definitely be a weird way to interact. ive heard that facebook groups can be fun but how that pans out with 18+ content is...
from what i can tell most batcest accounts are pretty chill however i'm only speaking from the perspective of tim centric accounts. in terms of things such as "etiquette" there's only a few things most accounts do to sort of identify and differentiate each other.
- if you're following nsfw account or making nsfw tweets be sure to include that in your description whether that means having 'minors dni', 18+, 🔞, your age and an nsfw warning' it varies.
-you don't have to do this, in fact i don't even do it but it might make it easier to find mutuals, and that's to include your favorite ships in your bio as well! mentioning things like jaytim, jaydick, brutim, brudami, etc. a lot of batcest accounts have multiple ships that spread over different characters so them listing it makes it easier for people to see what they're about!
-inluding the link of your ao3/linking your twitter in your ao3 fics is a good way for people to follow your work! a lot of people might recognize your fics if they click on your ao3 fic and you can become mutuals like that!
in terms of how to interact with other accounts i get being nervous!! i definitely was when i first started posting my tim tweets!!! even now when i interact with mutuals i've been interacting with for a while I still get a little nervous sometimes!
but i do have some tips that I think have helped interact with others and keep it fun for everyone!❤️❤️❤️
- if a tweet talks about 2 specific characters or a specific ship and you really like the idea but don't care for the ship don't directly reply to the person saying something like "THIS but with x- instead would be so good!". i know wanting to give recognition for an idea is tempting but it's rude to try and change the intent of someone's tweet.
instead: you can make your own tweet and include something like "just saw someone on my tl talking about x-topic and now i can't stop thinking about y+z in that situation-" that way you're acknowledging the outside source but also not changing the tune of someone else's tweet
- if a lot of people on your timeline are all talking about the same idea and they're all coming out with their own spins and you have no idea who started it that's okay! twitter can be a bit of an echo chamber sometimes and no one's going to go through all their mutuals and find who tweeted what first. plus the very nature of art is that it often repeats itself.
if you want to join in: you can say something like "my tl is full of people about x and let me just say that-"
- emojis are your friend! i use them a lot because i have a hard time reading tone from text and think everyone else might too. when you're reading something it's hard to pick out whether someone is joking or saying something sarcastically without any indicators (ex. /joke /sarcasm at the end of a sentence, wrItInG LIkE tHiS tO MakE suRe someone knows they're being mocked/made fun of).
adding an emoji can really help change the tone of what you're saying making it sound less like you're stating a fact or making a demand or some other misinterpretation.

you can tell there's a few tonal differences between the statements which helps ease the slide of interaction (at least I think so!) by making it clear you're joking or being humorous.
- it's common to see people adding onto each other's threads and while you may be nervous about who is okay with it at first, the general rule of thumb is that on twitter anyone can add on to anyone's thread or respond whether you follow them or not (i don't think anyone will even notice who is following who) but if it does make you anxious you can click on their profile and look at their replies to see if they've replied to other people's threads or been replied to.
you can reply even if two people are already having a convo, you can just split off and start a new one! ive seen and had multiple split off convos with different people from the same original thread who all had different ideas or things to add on.
ultimately a lot of conversations on twitter are people prodding each other's brains for their shared interests and mutuals come about from people seeing that someone has similar interests and is talking about them and so follow because they also like that thing and would love to see more of people talking about that thing!!!
try following people who share a lot of your interests in terms of ships and characters.
mutuals may take a little while (in some cases ive done two scrolls of a person's account and immediatly followed them back without any interaction because we both clearly had the same interests) if you want exact steps of how that might happen you could start with
a. commenting on people's threads. telling them you loved it, reacting to it, sending emojis. etc.
b. send tweets about your thoughts, headcanons, aus, etc. don't feel discouraged if no one likes them yet you're just starting!
c. after you've gotten comfortable with commenting with an account you can start adding more to the interaction, adding on, proposing a direction for the tweet, etc.
these are just a few of the things ive learned and seen and nothing here is fully concrete either so if you feel more comfortable doing something else then feel free!!!
besides in the first conversation i ever had with one of my current mutuals i revealed to them that i'd secretly written an entire fic about one of their tweets even though we'd, until that point, never talked even once 😭
i guess what I'm trying to say is: go for it!! you never know, it might go a lot better than the worst case scenarios you may be thinking of!! ❤️❤️❤️

Chociaż historia kręci się wokół Weinsteina, to równie dobrze pod lupą mógłby się znaleźć jakiekolwiek inny mężczyzna, który dopuścił się takich krzywd. Chodziło o skalę, władzę, bezkarność i świat, który stał się jego placem zabaw. Ten sam, w którym żyją córki obu reporterek. Dzięki odtwórczyniom głównych ról czuć, że to nie są zwyczajne ambicje dziennikarskie - robią to w imię córek.
Komu uwierzysz?
Mimo że “She Said” niekwestionowanie wpisuje się w nurt kina dziennikarskiego, to stroni od tanich zagrywek. Nie dostarcza wielkich odkryć, przełomowych zdarzeń w śledztwie - zamiast tego dostajemy mozolną pracę reporterską, przekopywanie się przez źródła, setki wykonanych połączeń, które nigdy nie zostały odebrane.
