I feel so sorry for the Twitter users who have just emigrated to Tumblr because when I saw the first Goncharov posts, I was confused for a few seconds before I checked the tag and nodded when I saw #unreality. I was “Ah yes, people are inventing stuff.” because all of Tumblr going insane on one specific thing is something I’m used to.

But I don’t think people who aren’t used to this strange environment are in any way prepared for that kind of craziness and oh boy, what a way to be introduced to Tumblr.

I already don’t like All Might bashing but nothing annoys me more than the specific brand of All Might bashing where All Might furiously discriminates against quirkless people.

When All Might tells Izuku that he doesn’t think someone without a quirk can be a hero? Most of his answer is about himself. He is the quirkless kid who became a hero and he is now horribly alone, depressed, has PTSD, too many organs lost in action and a husk of his former self while the pressure of being the number 1 hero is grinding down on him as he is losing more and more time to use his quirk every day while being extremely aware that criminality staying as low as it is fully depends on him being the number 1 hero.

When Izuku asked him if he could be a hero, All Might probably had a magnificent flashback to his whole life and couldn’t, in good conscience, tell someone so similar to him to follow the same path because of all the hardship he went through.

Izuku being the only one to help during the second Sludge villain attack didn’t make him realize that “Even someone without a quirk has the potential to be a hero!” but it made him remember what heroism really is about.

Loid is such a funny character, the first time you are introduced to him he seems like a cool, suave, charismatic but also ruthless man who focuses only on his mission and the embodiment of every spy character troupe there is and he is! But also few chapters in and he's like "My daughter/wife doesn't like me 🥺🥺🥺🥺 i am a failure of a spy 😩😩😭😭😭😭" at like every minor inconvenience

Loid, who bought an entire library of parenting books right after getting Anya and who makes sure to arrange dates with Yor despite being overworked and who gets actually angry when people say bad things about her: "I am just doing this for the mission."

usually yes! i like getting replies from authors when i comment and also all commenters should know how insane i go about their thoughts. there are some fics i forgot to reply though and atp i feel a bit awkward replying cus its been like. a year

'what happens after your clown father rejects your clownery for his younger more clownish son?' - its a crack fic but it does have an unhappy ending so

hummm not if the whole conversation ends up being in another language and you have to translate in the end notes. but if i got a foreign character i think tossing in idioms and little exclamations here and there is fun

i guess on ao3 it's bnha but i know theres a pjo fic in a childhood diary somewhere

this is a mean question because every fic i write is my favourite fic at the point of writing it. but i guess... i really like 'how to commit accidental grandson acquisition' just because of how much ive thought about the worldbuilding. also the soulmate au 'to find your heart a home' and ------- im going to end up naming all my m!ik fics jsjdfhg

I saw people debating about "will Deku keep calling Katsuki 'Kacchan' after he knows Katsuki's hero name?" yesterday.

in chapter 250, Deku called Todoroki by his hero name 'Shoto' (+ kun) and Katsuki by 'Kacchan'.

what Deku knew at that time, Katsuki's hero name was 'Bakugo'. He called Todoroki by his hero name 'Shoto', and he was supposed to call Katsuki by his hero name (Bakugo) too, but he didn't.

so, I bet even if Deku knows Katsuki's real hero name, he will still call him 'Kacchan'😂

I feel sometimes some fans forget there in the middle of a war so endeavor can’t just up and leave to go to dabi and shouto and endeavor phone call made so much sense to me again a war is going on it an emotional fight but they all have to be rational too

I feel like there were generally two groups complaining:

People who were more curious about seeing Endeavor to face Dabi feeling like Dabi's obsession with Endeavor would make that encounter more emotional than the one with Shouto, and ignoring that

a) what Dabi wants and what Dabi needs are two different things.

b) Dabi and Endeavor will meet still.

2. People who felt like Shouto should get mad at Endeavor and call him out on ignoring his family. This is the group that didn't take into account Shouto's loyalties. He's sure loyal to his family, but he's also incredibly loyal to his friends. So yeah, he had no problem calling Endeavor out in Nezu's office, but at the eve of the battle, when the whole country's fate is at stake, it makes sense for his character not to throw a tantrum.

Although it was a group effort— I love that Bakugou is the one who rescued Natsuo. Bakugou chose to focus on saving Natsuo instead of trying to fight Ending, himself.

Bakugou learnt the importance of saving people long ago. Y'all just don't remember that he saved Natsuo and let Todoroki defeat the villain

sure, though i would argue, again, that sporadically placed moments of bakugou prioritizing saving over winning are not an indication that he has actually learned anything. we have him saving natsou in 251 just to see, in more recent chapters, that he's yapping on about:

the "unfinished business" that he has with shiggy (versus.... you know, keeping izuku safe at the start of the war, when he was being targeted) in 275, so he's indicating that this is about winning for him

OR, more recently, this idea of a "total victory" (when there's literally no such thing given how bad everyone was/is doing and the overall issues of physical damage to their cities, the death toll, trauma, aND WHATEVER ELSE they'll still have to process moving forward) in 290 (aka another instance of his focus on winning or victory)

so anyways, the fact of the matter is that i didn't forget lmao. i just don't feel convinced by irregular "progress" when his actions continue to contradict the lesson he supposedly learned right as his """development""" is being constructed. it doesn't come across in a believable manner, so i still feel like he still has work to do with understanding saving 🤷🏾‍♀️
