I have a black cat and I’m convinced she’s a Regulus Black kinnie (or Regulus Black themself) for the following reasons:

Ma’am doesn’t let anyone touch her for days then cries because she’s touch starved (idiot behavior, love her though and I run to give her cuddles when she gets so desperate she asks for some)

She eats one type of food for like 3 days then gets bored of the taste and refuses to eat until we give her a new flavor (picky but she’s cute and irresistible so what can you do)

She gets into a strange little depressive state when her favorite family member isn’t there—she gets a little more pissed off at the world basically (I yell at said family member to get back home so that my cat isn’t sad anymore)

On (very few) miraculous days she decides to be the loveliest, prettiest, cuddliest cat and has an all round marvelous time being the center of attention (as she should)

Whenever we have strangers at the house she disappears, she’s playing an extreme level of hide and seek and will not be found until she decides it is safe (I hope I didn’t somehow transfer my social anxiety to my cat oops)

Essentially what i’m telling you all is that i am the Barty to my cat’s Regulus.

The Black Cat part 1

"Oh- hello there sweetheart"

Regulus just about turned around before the tall man with round glasses and messy brown hair kneeled down on the floor before him.

"come kitty kitty" James gently whispered slowly putting his hand out for kitten to smell clearly having no idea it wasn't true a cat.

Regulus was meant to turn around and walk off- just as he always has done when James did this.

And yet, he simply gave in to his desires.

Regulus Arcturus Black, the head of the Black family fortune in the body of a small black cat walked up to the man of his dreams.

He gently sniffed James' hand nuzzling it slightly with his nose.

To no one's suprise James just sat there, still awating for the cat to make the move and set it's boundaries.

The moment lasted no longer than a few seconds yet it left James with the happiest smile on his face and a glimmer of his classic Gyriffindor determination in his eye.

Regulus could not have been more pleased and he turned and made his way down the quiet corridor.
