Hey guys, here is the character design I did of Slade for the first issue of SLADE (My Fancomic Series), it’s pretty much his Beware The Batman suit with a few alterations, I loved how simple and tactical that suit was and i wanted to add it to his gallery of suits cause i felt the Classic suit represents more his confirmation as a supervillain and this one felt more like a proper combat suit for his mercenary missions before jumping to the more showy and colorful scheme in times of the boom of superheroes.

I know I praise the DCAU, and rightfully so, it has interesting characterization and cool story arcs and has one of the best comic book plot adaptations around (For the Man Who Has Everything).
But the DCAU Batman is not my favorite Batman. His arc of ending up a bitter loner in his old age because his approach to relationships pushed away everyone he loved one by one is interesting, don't get me wrong, but I just prefer a different animated Batman.
I thought it would be a fun game to play to see if I'm just the odd one out or if people agree this one version of animated Batman is underrated. So here's the game: If Batman the Animates Series wasn't a consideration
Find it hilarious that Batman: Brave and The Bold and Beware The Batman are both children's shows that had Professor Pyg in it tho in Batman: Brave and The Bold it was a brief cameo and in Beware The Batman they made him an eco terrorist because canon Pyg is most certainly NOT kid friendly
Pyg is the LAST Batman villain you want in your DC kids show
more of you guys need to watch Beware the Batman because Misha and i cant keep screaming about it at each other forever, i am BEGGING YOU to give it a chance, i know the graphics are dated but i swear to god you will forget within the first episode because they use them SO WELL it feels like The Batman 2004 mixed with The Batman 2022 i’m not joking i swear i could make soooo many comparisons to The Batman 2022 and it utilises a BUNCH of underused villains and there is no sign of the fucking Joker anywhere please i swear to god. on my knees. begging
You wanna know one of my favorite things about the show Beware The Batman? There's no Joker. At all. In fact almost every villain in the show was one I hadn't heard of before.
Also, Alfred's characterization is pretty interesting. And Magpie. And Katana. And Prof. Pyg and Mr. Toad. And the story line.
Here's a trailer just to show how cool it is.
The only thing I had a problem with is the 3d art style which looks really odd to me, but the show was so good and it didn't have any overused villains other than Ra's.

In contrast to the ultimately well intentioned radical Lonnie Machin, the Anarky that arose in Post Crisis Gotham seemed to be more of an agent of unfiltered chaos than his predecessor.
Styling himself as an "Anti-Batman" in the lieu of Wrath, the first Prometheus, and Killer Moth before him, the "White King" in opposition to Cassandra Cain's "Black Queen", he worked through a series of proxies and pawns, challenging the new Batman for the soul of the rebuilding Gotham.
Between his methods, his adherence to a code that shifted to his whims, and the anonymity of his origin, he rose to a place amongst Cassandra Cain's Rogue's Gallery rivaling that of the original Joker of the Golden Age
