ANYWAYS 2ND GEN CAPTAINS HCS LET'S GO!!!

- They're all depressed teenagers, what can I say 💀

- THEY'RE TRYING THEIR BEST FUCK

- They've all, no matter who, have cried themselves to sleep wondering how the hell they're going to live up to their previous captains

- Yamamoto and Seguro try to keep up the Nekoma/Nohebi rivalry but in all honesty they really don't hate each other. They try so hard to act like they hate each other, they don't 💀

- Meanwhile Shirabu and Yahaba's rivalry is worse than Ushijima and Oikawa's

- They've fist fought

- Shirabu ended up breaking Yahaba's nose. Yahaba doesn't like to talk about it.

- Akaashi's used to this. He was pretty much the captain last year. He's got this in the bag.

- At least he thinks he does until he meets the crazy first years who think they're "2 cool 4 skool 🥶🥶🥶💢💢💢🔥🔥💯💯‼️😩💦💦"

- Akaashi kicks their asses dw

- Atsumu wants to be intimidating, and he is the the first years. The other new third years don't take him seriously at all. (Especially Osamu and Suna, they laugh at him when he tells them to do something)

- Ennoshita's on the verge of becoming an alcoholic with how his team stresses him out. He's terrifying tho.

- One time he slapped Kageyama upside his head when he was giving him attitude and he was quiet for the rest of the day. (Ennoshita felt bad later once he realized that he hurt Kageyama's feelings more than anything)

- Hirugami is pretty composed about it. He's doing his best. However, he tends to get burned out more often now that he has to guide the whole team.

- Atema is starting to blow up often. At his teammates. Some of the fellow third years have to calm him down. Quite frequently at that. He makes sure to remind his underclassmen that he's just very passionate and cares about them getting better.

- Usuri is scary to the new babies too 😭 they all call him intimidating and he never understands why. Also, another setter captain. So many setters.

- Sakusa is honestly not very good at the captain business. He's not very open with anything at all. Good thing we got Komori to help ✋️💀

- Terushima is having the time of his life, he loves being the captain so much 😪✨️ "Let's go fuck some shit up guys, woo-hoo! :D"

- Yuzuru is constantly on the verge when it comes to the fucks he has to lend. Especially with Hyakuzawa. He has been since he started the captain business in his second year. He's honestly about to send a letter to the previous third years apologizing for being a brat in his first and second year. He tries his best to be nice 😭

- All the other captains just wanna die

- anYWAYS

- Futakuchi probs causes the most fights within the group. He's an asshole 💀 it doesn't combine well with how temptable Yamamoto and Seguro are

- Shirabu, Yuzuru, and Usuri get along well. Almost too well. It's scary. They act like the group of mean kids that live on you're block that torment you and your friends.

- Akaashi and Ennoshita get along pretty well too. They just wanna relax

- Atsumu and Yahaba don't like each other 💀 probably because Yahaba is lowkey a mini Oikawa 😭

- Yamamoto and Terushima are straight ANIMALS like nothing can stop those two. Add Seguro into the mix and they're bouncing off the walls

- Futakuchi and Shirabu don't really like each other, but when they team up? Oh someone's gonna die

- Atsumu really admires Akaashi. He thinks he's really cool 😭 little does he know about Akaashi thinking he's admirable too

- The vice caps get along better than all of them 💀 it's funny with STZW and AJ cuz Yahaba and Shirabu will be staring each other down meanwhile Taichi, Watari, and Kyōtani will be sitting down talking about their Spotify playlists

- Tanaka and Fukunaga get along well too! Tanaka thinks his jokes are genuinely funny and I find that adorable

- Aone kicks it with them too sometimes. He likes their good, happy vibes.

- Shirabu and Ennoshita have laid back in lawn chairs (accompanied by Kawanishi cuz he gets out of stuff) and watched as their team ran multiple laps around the track field.

- The caps are all trying their very best 😭 it's so hard honestly and they just want a break

- Sometimes for team bonding their teammates buy their food just cuz, it's so sweet

FINALLY SOMEONE ASKED ME FOR AONE CONTENT I LOVE YOU PLS

↪ aone looks very intimidating and looks like he’s constantly asking to pick a fight (Especially when he points at people) but he’s in fact against fighting

↪ however, he understands that his s/o is not always actively looking for a fight, and he admires that they’re able to protect themselves in the chance of it happening. as someone who unintentionally makes enemies, he’s well aware that it’s not always a person’s fault

↪ he’s very relieved that they’re not the ones throwing the first punch or actively starting the fight, that would make him very unhappy, but he’s also not particularly happy about how enthusiastic they are about fights

↪ aone is someone who would never ask the person he fell in love with to change, because he’s aware that he fell for that person for who they are and not just because of his ‘taste’, but he would be a little bothered about the issue and might bring it up so they can have an adult conversation

↪ a man of few words, so he keeps it simple. he’d try not to make himself sound selfish, and manage to explain with some struggling that the true reason he’s against it is because he’s worried his s/o will end up getting hurt. he doesn’t doubt they’re strong, he just worries for them and what people can do.

↪ he does admire how they jump into fights not only for themselves. it’s not strictly for pleasure, sometimes they just do it because they need to. he can understand that, he usually does the same in order to separate fights. his s/o actually stays in the fight, which is slightly different, but he tries to think of it positively

↪ whenever he’s there for a fight he tries to separate his s/o and whoever they’re fighting. he’s not trying to change them, that’s just how he is when anyone around him fights. being pretty big makes it easier for him, too.

↪ if his s/o gets hurt he knows exactly how to help. i’m pretty sure he has a little first aid kit ready at all times and he always insists on helping them patch up. honestly, he might even scold them a little while he’s fixing up their wounds, as bluntly as he can.

Akaashi

You typically liked to wear an oversized t-shirt and jeans

It was comfortable, simple, and fashionable and Akaashi loved you no matter what you decided to wear

You two were going to a party together to celebrate a volleyball win

It was semi formal so Akaashi opted for a dress shirt and nice slacks which he looked incredible in honestly what doesn’t he look good in

So you decided to go for something nicer too, you had a simple, little black dress that you had bought on a whim a while back but never found an occasion to wear it

You slipped it on, putting on some last finishing touches before walking out towards the door where Akaashi was waiting for you

His eyes nearly bugged out of his head when he saw you

If you didn’t know him as well as you did you might not have even noticed his reaction

But you did and you did not let it slide

“What are you looking at?”

“I’ve...I’ve never seen that dress before”

Definitely teased him about it and his blush only grew as his eyes roamed your body

Once he regained his composure, the compliments spilled out of his mouth

He could hardly keep his eyes or his hands off of you the whole night

He had a hand resting on the small of your back almost constantly, rubbing small circles and patterns

His teammates commented on how nice you looked, nothing inappropriate, just genuine compliments

They also mentioned it to Akaashi, how they had never seen you in an outfit like that before

Akaashi knew they didn’t mean anything bad by it but it still bothered him that everyone was looking at you

He makes you wear his jacket at some point

Kenma

You guys usually just lounge around in hoodies and sweats, which is basically his favorite thing to do

But when he gets dragged to a club by Kuroo he texts you to come save him and keep him company

He sent you pictures of the club and it honestly looked like fun, so you texted him back letting him know you were gonna change and meet him there

Neither you nor Kenma are club goers so you only had a few dresses to choose from

You picked out one you hadn’t worn in a while and headed out to the club

You arrived and lights were flashing, music blaring, people dancing, and Kenma nowhere in sight

He texted you saying he was sitting in a booth somewhere so you made your way through the dance floor trying to spot him

Your short dress was drawing a lot of attention from people in the club and Kuroo noticed it too

“Uhhh Kenma? Is that who I think it is?”

Kenma picked his head up from the table he was resting on and looked to where Kuroo was pointing

He choked on his drink when he saw you

You heard him having a coughing fit and made your way to his booth, patting him on the back

“What’s wrong?”

“Where did you get that dress?” he could hardly look you in the eyes

Kuroo excused himself to go back on the dance floor while you slid into the booth next to Kenma

He managed to squeak out a compliment to you but couldn’t look you in the eyes still

You tried to urge him to come dance with you but he wasn’t budging so you started to get up and head there alone

He pulled you back and this time onto his lap

He buried his face in your neck and held your waist tightly

“They’re all staring at you like a piece of meat, I don’t want anyone else touching you”

Osamu

You’re both creatures of comfort and you’re usually helping him cook so you never had much occasion to wear anything fancy

So when Atsumu invites the two of you to an afterparty you decide to go all out

Osamu dresses in a white dress shirt with the first couple buttons undone and black dress pants

You opt for a midnight blue bodycon dress

When the two of you see each other, your jaws nearly drop

Neither of you were used to seeing the other in formal wear and honestly didn’t know how to react

Osamu pulls himself together a lot faster and walks towards you, wrapping his arms around your waist

“You look beautiful” he mumbles into your ear as he places soft kisses along your neck and jaw

“Look who’s talking, you look like a model Samu”

He chuckles and just continues kissing you lightly, making you giggle from the sensation

He didn’t seem to be letting go of you anytime soon, in fact he even pulled you closer to his chest

You were the one who had to push him away, much to his dismay

“We’re gonna be late, you don’t want to make Atsumu wait”

You tried walking towards the door but he just pulled your back against his chest and went back to kissing your neck

“Fuck ‘Tsumu, let’s stay here”

You wanted to object but he started sucking on a particularly sensitive spot on your neck and all your resolve went out the window

He called Atsumu to let him know the two of you wouldn’t be able to make it

He did not let you out of his arms the whole night

Sakusa

You guys were usually in athleisure gear and masks so there was almost no reason to be wearing anything more fancy

And neither of you really cared to until Komori invited you both to a reunion party

It was an event happening later in the evening, a lot of Itachiyama grads were pro-volleyball players so they still had practice in the morning, Sakusa included

When he got back from practice he greeted you and immediately went to shower while you finished doing your makeup

You heard the water begin to run while you picked out a red mini dress to wear, you bought it a few months ago for some other party that ended up getting canceled

Sakusa came out of the shower in a towel just as you finished getting dressed and he nearly dropped the towel not that you were complaining

You noticed him staring at you and for once you were blessed with the sight of a blushing, flustered Sakusa

He’s usually wearing a mask when it happens so you don’t always get to see it

Before you could tease him he rushed to get dressed at lightning speed

You waited in the kitchen for him to finish up and you didn’t even hear him come in

He stood just behind you, almost touching you but not quite

“You look nice. Where did you get that dress? Why haven’t I seen it before? How much was it?”

You could tell from how much he was bombarding you with questions that he was very interested in your dress

Instead of answering his question, you pecked his lips and told him you should get going

When you two arrived you received plenty of compliments, some more flirtatious than others

That is until they noticed Sakusa looming over you with a murderous look in his eyes

You complained that he was scaring everyone away from you

“Who knows if they’ve gotten their flu shots. If they get you sick I won’t be able to touch you”

“Oh, you wanna touch me Omi?”

“When you’re dressed like that I want to do more than touch, but I’ll wait until we get home”

He really said that with a straight face huh

You were a blushing mess the whole night and kept looking for some excuse to go home

HQ boys + plants they would own

note: based on a conversation i had with ari @/seijch about sakusa if sakusa would own a plant that eventually just spiraled. spoiler alert - he would. psa i am not a plant expert, please take this with a grain of salt :’) i am going off of vibes alone

ty to @mooshys for indulging in my herbal sakusa hcs

feat. hinata, asahi, noya, aone, futakuchi, kita, sakusa

hinata → round cactus! he saw it in the store one day and thought it was really cute so he just took it home and has been caring for it ever since. much to everyone’s surprise, it hasn’t died yet, but there have been a few attempts by natsu to try to touch it to see if “it really is that spikey!” she hasn’t succeeded thus far but she’s still making plans to see her mission through to fruition. in recent news, his cactus sprouted a flower recently! the entire family is very happy about it. (bonus: he’s thinking of buying a bunny ear cactus some time soon :) )

asahi → he’s kind of scared of killing plants so he tries to get the ones on the more resilient end. he really isn’t bad at all, just new at plant care! a worker suggested him a chinese money plant, and asahi’s been keeping with it with him ever since :) he likes the flat shape of it, thinks it’s unique in the best way! he’s thinking of buying more once his confidence is boosted after having his pilea thrive under his care, but it will always remain as asahi’s favorite even after his plant collection is expanded. (bonus: he likes to divide it the offsets and give them away as gifts! everyone looks forward to their turn at receiving a baby chinese money plant at their birthday now)

nishinoya → a chia pet. no further explanation. (bonus: he likes the bob ross ones the best. it makes him very happy.)

aone → a pro gardener, he has everything. not only does he have a shelves of potted plants near his window that he tends to regularly, he also has a number of large palm tree plants and monstera! the entrance to his backyard is basically his own little plant center at this point. everyone who sees it is very impressed. as they should be! not only that, he also has a variety of outdoor plants as well in his garden, ranging from flowers to fruit to the classic leafy greens! he gets the happiest smile on his face when he waters his plants okay, they’re his babies i’m literally going to cry just thinking about green thumb aone. (bonus: he’s started to get into japanese rock gardening as well! he got a little mini japanese rock gardening set and it makes him very happy :) )

futakuchi → he literally has the blackest thumb in existence. it makes aone quite sad. not that he doesn’t try his best, he really does! he tries to search up all the articles regarding plant care and buys all the books he can and even asks the workers at the plant stores the best ways to care for them! but one thing always leads to another and....let’s just say his plants either end up yellow and crispy or sad and droopy from overwatering. kenji has bought every single plant from every single ‘easiest house plants to take care of’ list and killed every single one. occasionally sends a text to aone in a panic along the lines of “AONE WHAT DO I DO IT’S TURNING YELLOW” and kenji jr. gets sent off to aone’s intensive care unit for the week. sometimes aone can save it, most of the time he can’t </3 get a fake plant at this point, kenji. you’re breaking aone’s heart. kita → lucky bamboo! like, the ones you get in the glazed ceramic pots at asian supermarkets. he uses a red ribbon to tie them and everything. very attentive with his bamboo stalks, makes sure they get the exact amount of sunlight and water they need to thrive. he used to only keep them straight, but after his granny told him that he could twist the stalks into spirals and braid them for aesthetic purposes, his bamboo pots now don the funkiest designs. very cool! (bonus: granny yumie recently got him a bonsai tree! he trims them at the end of the day for his ritual relaxation hour :) )

sakusa → sakusa likes functionality, so he has a couple of potted herbs on his kitchen counter near a window. basil, mint, and rosemary are his current collection, but he’s willing to buy more if the need arises. he still has them post-timeskip, and some of his teammates atsumu try to snip some stems off when he’s not looking. sakusa always knows. (bonus: he’s currently looking into thyme care!)

★ aone just blinks down at your child for a few seconds because he literally has no idea what to do skjdfgh. you come in the room to find him and your child just standing across from each other and go up to them curiously asking your husband what's going on. he looks at you, clearly in crisis. "they're asking how they were made." your eyes widen and you let out a quiet "oh". now you're all just blinking at each other.

★ kyoutani literally chokes on his water, eyes widening incredulously as he looks down at your child cause how dare they put him in this situation ?? grumbles something along the lines of "why couldn't you ask y/n this shit" to himself before responding, "ask me again in ten years," ruffling their hair and walking away.

★ osamu almost chokes on his food at the dinner table and you have to pat his back while muffling your laughter. "yeah how, samu?" he glares at you while he sips his drink and tries to come up with something, cursing you in his head.

Getting ready for your first date (Kuroo, Bokuto, Aone)

warnings: none :)

Kuroo

•Kuroo would have been planning for this date for weeks, way before he even asked you

•being the nerd that he is, he would take you to a museum

•depending on what you like, he would take you to that kind of museum whether it was art, history, science, or literally anything

•once he picked one he would study everything in it so he could impress you with his abundance of knowledge

•he would also find any and all secluded areas to hopefully make a move on you

•he would have calculated every possible outcome to this date to make sure that if anything were to go wrong he would know how to fix it

•right before picking you up he would call Kenma annoying him with questions on what to wear or what to say

•Kenma is of course just as clueless as Kuroo so he wouldn’t be any help

•Kuroo would definitely dress up, again as a way to impress you that he has knowledge in other things besides books

•He would arrive to your house right on time and even let you play your own music while in the car

Bokuto

•Bokuto would act as though he knows what he is doing but an hour before picking you up he would be calling Akaashi in pure panic mode

•he would have tried on 18 different outfits, all of which were fine but he claimed to “not be good enough for Y/N”

•once he finally settled on one, he would have misplaced his keys or wallet, causing him to call Akaashi again

•Bokuto would take you bowling, mini golfing, or any place where he can be competitive and most likely win

•he also would do this so he could teach you how to play even though you probably know how

•he would use it as an excuse to adjust your hands or just get close to you

•on his way to pick you up he would definitely get distracted and stop at a gas station to buy you your favorite candy or drink

•this would cause him to be late but only by a few minutes

•and he would apologize a million times and just give you the treats he bought you to make up for it

•he would be just so excited to be spending time with you that he would miss the turns or exits on the way to your date

•also he would talk the whole car ride and when he finally realizes what he’s been doing he will ask you a bunch of questions to make up for it

Aone

•literally would be so nervous it would be adorable

•since he isn’t very good with words he would have asked you out by writing you a note

•he would try to show that he likes you through his actions

•he would ask your friends about your likes and dislikes to make sure he got everything right

•Aone would do the little things like always holding the door for you or texting you asking if you needed anything

•he would take you to a movie and out to frozen yogurt afterwards to have the perfect balance of talking and not

•he would definitely dress up regardless of it being a casual date because he would rather be over dressed than under

•before picking you up he would bring you flowers, again as a sign to show that he cares for you

•he would try to hold back his smile every time you spoke or did anything but would fail

•he is a softie at heart so he would do anything in his power to be a gentleman

Hey! I kinda experienced this recently and so can I ask you to do a hc for oikawa, nishinoya, ushijima and if you can aone but if you cant then iwaizumi where their athlete s/o hurt themselves and now they cant do their sports anymore or for awhile? Tysm ❤ love youu

Oikawa:

- he would be able to sympathize with you cause of his bad knee (while it doesn’t keep him from playing he knows what it’s like to get hurt/being hurt while playing)

- he might baby you and constantly ask about how you are feeling and if you need anything, which could get overbearing but he means well and wants to help you in the best way he can

- if its a leg injury he would want to carry you around like everywhere but just let him know it’s okay you can still walk around (unless you wanna be carried then ya know go for it lol)

- if you can still move around despite your injury he would join you in going to your team’s games and help you cheer for your teammates from the sidelines

- if physical therapy is something you have to go through, he would be super supportive cause it will be hard and taxing on your body but he’ll be there to remind you to keep working

Nishinoya:

- he would probably be more upset about your injury than you are tbh finding it hard to see you hurt and benched during games

- but he would be pretty protective of you, making sure you aren’t doing anything that could hurt you like standing for a long time (if its a leg issue) or carrying something heavy

- it might get a little overwhelming but he just wants you to get better as soon as you can and he is worried about you hurting yourself again in the future

- “Y/N let me help you with that!” “Hey Y/N, I can carry your bag!”

- if you can’t do your sport anymore, he would be heartbroken for you and do his hardest to keep your sprits up by reminding you that you can find other things you enjoy and this injury isn’t the end of your world

Ushijima:

- he wouldn’t be too upset visibly but you could tell he would be sadden by hearing and seeing you injured

- he tries to become your own personal nurse (keyword: tries)

- he doesn’t have a lot of experience with injuries and injuries from other sports other than volleyball but he does what he can for you

- he wouldn’t let you strain yourself, remind you consistently not to push yourself and to ask for help if you need it

- protective but not overbearing about it, he wants to make sure you don’t hurt yourself anymore but you know whats best for you and what to do so you can heal properly

Aone:

- like ushiwaka, this baby is a man of few words but he would do his best to comfort you whenever you get down over your injury or are in pain

- if it’s an arm injury or you can’t hold/carry things easily you bet he will carry books, bags etc just so you don’t strain yourself without needed to asked to

- would do a lot of research on the best way to help treat your injury at home

- he would keep you updated on the things he finds, like how to keep swelling down or if cold works better than heat for any pain

- you relaxing and healing is the number one thing on his mind so he will urge you to get as much rest as you can and listen to what your doctor says so you can heal properly

Iwaizumi:

- like noya I can see him keeping an even closer eye on you and your injury, making sure you are taking any medication and going to doctors appointments

- when first hearing about your injury, he would be shocked and visibly upset cause he is worried about you

- “idiot, you have to be more careful ya know?” he might come off as harsh but he doesn’t like seeing you in pain :((

- would try to keep your stress levels low, like helping you deal with missing school/work while you heal up (bringing you the work you miss after school and giving you a mini lesson for example)

- it would suck if you couldn’t play your sport anymore and he would feel bad about it and tell you that its okay to feel upset, sad or mad about it but there are so many other things for you to explore and do after you heal up
