the reason i first fell in love with mcu peter parker was that he was actually a teenager that looked and acted like one, he was smart and funny and kind, maybe a little selfish but he still accepted when he messed up and was willing to move on, and he always strived to do the right thing, no matter the hardships, no matter if it was going to make him unhappy. mcu peter also had great and healthy relationships with his aunt may, tony, happy, his best friend ned, his soon to be girlfriend mj, and even one-off characters like liz and aaron davis.
and it breaks my heart that homecoming is the only movie that celebrates peter's youth. far from home does still let him declare to the girl he likes, but everything only gets worse from there. peter's relationship with tony is completely sidelined by the end, and no way home doesn't even seem to acknowledge it anymore. no way home isn't about mcu peter anymore. they erase everything that made his character and his little universe enjoyable to me.
and now with freshmen year announced, it's pretty clear the mcu doesn't give a shit about its peter parker anymore. it's not gonna be about him, it's another bullshit multiverse project, where none of his friends from the mcu installment are present. they really had the fucking gut to replace tony with norman osborn.
and it's sad bc a lot of ppl LOVED no way home, and it's lonely as fuck when i was there from the beginning, when i found homecoming one of the best mcu movies to this day. homecoming was fun and intriguing and it was FRESH, but almost everyone i see hated it and the mcu only listened to them and everyone is happy. but i'm not. i will never forgive them for ruining my favorite spider-man.

*MCU SPOILERS*
Okay, I know I said I wasn't gonna post weekly on Ms. Marvel episodes, but I did say I'd post every now and then. So, I gotta say this which is really bugging the hell out of me.
In episode two, Kamala is getting chased by Damage Control or DODC and they're using drones. Not just any drones, but it looks like the drones from EDITH! If this is true, then DODC not only confiscated this tech from Peter back in No Way Home, but they're also using it.....okay, I don't know if that's allowed, but if it is, then this should prove yet again that EDITH shouldn't have been a thing.
I hated that it existed. The writers for Far From Home had to make up some excuse as to why Mysterio was targeting Peter, and had to connect yet another Spider-Man villain to Tony Stark. Plus, I hate the fact that Tony still hasn't learned from Ultron apparently, and decided to make an AI armed with satellite drones and hacking abilities to invade people's privacies, and entrust that tech TO A TEENAGER! I don't know what Tony was thinking when he made EDITH, nor why he thought it was a good idea to give this to Peter, but he ain't gonna suffer any consequences over it, cause HE'S DEAD!
Because of EDITH, Peter got targeted and used by Mysterio, nearly got killed, framed for murder, got arrested by DODC, his identity exposed, and he and his loved ones get harassed by the public for things they didn't do and/or being connected to Peter. They're the ones that suffer, while the ex-Stark Industries employees get away with it, and even Talos and his wife posing as Nick and Maria get away with what they did. Does SI suffer consequences? WE DON'T KNOW!!! And now that DODC has the drones, they're using it to capture Kamala. Sure they don't know that she's a minor, but it won't matter. They were fine with arresting Peter, who was ALSO a minor, what makes you think they'll let Kamala slide?
If EDITH never existed, things could've gone so much better for these characters in the MCU.
Also, why is Damage Control suddenly an agency where they arrest enhanced and confiscate things?! When was that a thing? During the five year timeskip or after? Are they the new SHIELD now? Cause I thought we had SWORD.

I love how these two don't give a flying fuck about their own safety but when it's about the safety of their best friend? Their childhood buddy? Their good-time pal?? Their brother in arms?!
You better goddamn believe they'll take that seriously.
Dick's all 'oh a bunch of assassins and mob bosses are after me and I'm injured but it's fine, I got this handled-' and Wally already has the man tucked into the pullout couch bed at his house before he's finished the sentence.
Wally's all 'okay so I know that the future version of me is dead on the floor and I'm supposed to die after fighting a fire BUT I can't not help if there are people who need me, so I'll just fight this forest fire and-' Meanwhile Dick already has 60 tranq darts locked and loaded and the floor lined with anti gravity beams.

So MCU Spiderman..
1. Doesnt have Uncle Ben. A pivotal part of Peters origin story; and Aunt May dying/replacing him is not the same because Ben was at the beginning for a reason. Aunt May being there after was just as important as Ben dying. (That's like Batmans parents not dying but Bruce's story still going the same and then they just kill someone else after years of being Batman and pretend its the same. Or TLOU Sarah never existing but Joel still being the same and then they kill Ellie in the end instead. It doest make sense.)
2. Doesnt even do photography? Another big part of Peters character that they just... got rid of?
3. Depends on Tony Stark. Peter was basically self made, he was alone in his identity as Spiderman in the beginning, but he knew he was smart and kept going. Now they just got Tony and made him give him a suit with some AI assistant, Tony being some kind of mentor and maybe even more after May's death. Peter would never depend on Tony Stark and the Avengers like that, the MCU took so much of his pride and just Peter away.
4. Is basically just Miles? His storylines, his personality (with some extra one-liners that are supposed to be like Peter), his relationships (Ganke, Tony, the Avengers/Ultimates). Based on Homecoming and Miles' Ultimate comics, I'd say even Michelle and Katie seem similar.
I made a post like this before but geez it pisses me off so bad because there's so many kids now seeing MCU Spiderman as *the* Peter Parker, when that guy's anyone BUT Peter Parker.
And I believe Tom Holland could've done a great job of playing Peter and Zendaya could've been an amazing Mary Jane, but the writers and producers ducked it up big time. They made Zendaya play an OC because they were too racist to make her Mary Jane but still gave her the "MJ" title as if that's the same thing.
I may be overdramatic but like... whatevs!

Hey, so I made this meme to vent my frustrations on movies that I hate that everyone else likes:
10. Once Upon a Studio; I haven’t seen the movie but I hate it because of it’s popularity and how people say it was the only good thing to come out of Disney in 2023 and that they shouldn’t have made Wish and just this instead and nothing else for Disney 100
9. Puss in Boots The Last Wish; I also haven’t seen this film either but I hate it because it started the “Disney Bad, Dreamworks Good” meme as well as the fact that it was used to promote homophobia and conservatism
8. Nimona; Once again, I haven’t seen this movie but hate it because it was brought back out of cancellation solely to spite Disney and is used as a symbol by their Hatedom.
7. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back; I hate it because it’s too dark and doesn’t have the same feeling that Episode 4 and 6 did (plus I hate the franchise in general because of the Disney/Sequel Hatedom)
6. Everything Everywhere All at Once; I hate it because it is nothing but a blatant ripoff of the Matrix and Inception that defends abusive parenting
5. Spider-Man Far From Home; I hate it because of the film’s version of Mysterio and the fact that it rubs salt in the wound by serving as a successor to a later movie on this list
4. Captain America Civil War; I hate it because it had a lame (at the time) villain and I hated the crappy ending and the fate of Team Cap
3. Oppenheimer; I hate it because it is a slow paced movie that is hard to follow, boring, and only appeals to film bros and neurotypical people
2. Avengers Infinity War; I hated it because of how they adapted Thanos and the ending, also, it suffered the Frozen affect
1. Avengers Endgame; I hate it because of the pointless five year time jump, using time travel instead of dimension travel, no Hugh Jackman cameo, no Death, and how it basically ruined Iron Man
Of course, these are just my opinions, so please take them with a grain of salt

imagine if tony did everything not to die and leave peter on his own. considering he lost his parents at a young age and he was stabbed in the back by stane, his mentor, tony would do everything to break this cycle, especially after sm homecoming and infinity war.
tony sacrifices himself a lot throughout the mcu. but if he got to live and stay with peter - and morgan, pepper, rhodey, happy etc.! -, that would've been so much more cathartic to me than tony dying for nothing.
