If none of you understood what I meant by my last post, here’s the introductions in the umbrella academy. There’s no video of the first introduction scene on youtube so I had to put the sparrow academy, and a comparison video instead. Sorry

Gunn said the first movie was about the mother, the second about the father and the third about the self. And if I think about it, all characters finally come to terms to who they really are or want to be:
[SPOILERS]
• Mantis goes her own way, after following what Ego wanted and then what the Guardians wanted for all these years;
• Drax, that called himself the 'destroyer', finds his place as a 'father', even after his daughter's death;
• Groot: now that he is an adult again, it's pretty clear to us that he's phisically and mentally different from the GOTG1!Groot. He respects and supports everyone's choices in his family and makes us part of it too at the end (→ now we understand him too);
• Nebula, now free from Thanos, is now a leader and helps kids in need like she was as a child, following what she and Gamora talked about at the end of vol 2;
• Gamora learns why her 2018!self found a family between the Guardians, but feels she's different and chooses another path in the end;
• Rocket "ain't no one like me but me" accepts he's not alone in the world anymore and deserves to keep on living. Also, he calls himself "racoon" for the first time without it being a offense for him;
• Peter, always away from his planet, faces his fears and comes back to the Earth, where he lost his mother, and meets his granddad.
I don't like all the choices Gunn made in this movie (about Gamora's arc for example), but GOTG3 made me cry and laught and cry again and I'm happy we finally got to see the ending of this beautiful trilogy.

one of my favorite things about gotg3 was definitely how all the main characters ended up alive. james gunn has already proven he has the nerve to kill them off, but it was amazing how he didn't feel the need to do it just to finish their stories and make fans emotional, as many other directors tend to do. he managed to make the emotion come naturally as we watched it and still comforted with an absolutely beautiful ending for each of them.

When James Gunn said once more with feeling. He actually meant every single emotion in the spectrum. EVERY SINGLE ONE.

Considering WB is doing almost nothing to promote DC's Blue Beetle after three back-to-back-to-back box office failures, let this post be a reminder that Blue Beetle is just over a month away!!
If you want to know why you should support this upcoming DC movie, here's why:
• Blue Beetle is the first live action Latino superhero film
• The film stars Cobra Kai's Xolo Maridueña as Jaime Reyes, Singer and Actress Becky G as the voice of the Scarab and George Lopez as Jaime's crazy uncle Rudy.
• Blue Beetle is the first character in DC Studios' DCU timeline, as confirmed by DC Studios Co-Owner James Gunn
• As stated above, Blue Beetle is part of the DCU world filled with superheroes. However, and thankfully, the past DCEU films are not relevant at all to Blue Beetle -- as confirmed by the movie's director Angel Manuel Soto.
• Blue Beetle was made as "the first act of a saga" and is currently planned to have a trilogy, assuming the first film does well.
• The Hollywood Reporter's sources believe that if Blue Beetle does do well and if it ends up getting a positive reception, Xolo Mariduena's Blue Beetle can end up appearing in the upcoming Booster Gold show.
Support DC's Blue Beetle, y'all.

What’s special about guardians of the galaxy as well is I think it manages to walk the fine line of having death be present and something that could very much happen to our main characters but also choosing to keep them all alive at the end of the trilogy. Not only is it nice to see finished arcs but I’ve never once felt as if the stakes were not high in these films and could not result in a main character death. James Gunn does a good job at showing he isn’t afraid to go there with what happened with Yondu at the end of gotg 2 (and providing a very meaningful death to him beneficial to his arc) and to an extension even shows this with rockets friends (lyla teeths floor) in the third film. I 100% felt as if multiple guardians would die I’m this film and whilst it did come close everyone made it out okay! This is a change from what we see in previous media where the line has pushed to one side too much where it can get annoyingly repetitive and boring because there is no tension or, death can happen too frequently that it’s a joke.
