I really need people to truly understand how poisonous this extension of feminism and bioessentialism is. Incoming hatred against literal children for being born male:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Children. Innocent children, whose only "crime" is being XY, are being demonized by this author.
THIS is why we call radfems dangerous. This is why we call bioessentialism dangerous.
If you identify as a radfem who genuinely believes that socialization and not biology is the source of men's violence, I desperately need you to read works by intersectional feminists. I desperately need you to leave radfeminism, because this is what a lot of your compatriots are pushing for. Complete female separation. Complete segregation of an entire sex based on the false belief they are "inherently violent".
This is horrific. If this doesn't horrify you, if the thought of someone calling a toddler "dangerous" to his playmates based on his biology doesn't fill you with revulsion, if it doesn't bring up other ways "biology" has been used to justify horrors of human rights, you are too far gone to help.

just saw a post saying that men shouldn't be allowed to become therapists because they *will* rape women/girls or at best... mentally ill women and girls *will always* catch inappropriate romantic/sexual feelings for a male therapist (not even gonna touch the flaming pile of internalized misogynistic shit lying within the later statement) and just...
what the fuck you guys.
like yeah fuck the "not all men" attitude that's just a fucking scapegoat abusive men love to say for why they never hold themselves or other men accountable, but actually *genuinely* saying all men will rape and abuse if they became a therapist does nothing to offer solutions that will actually make therapy safe for people.
because i'm sorry but i've had nearly 40 therapists in my life and unfortunately i've had a mix of really harmful experiences from both male and female therapists. the best therapist i had was actually nonbinary. the second and third best were male.
i've had both male/female therapists try to convert me to christianity and say my illness was god punishing me for sinning. i've had female therapists enable my father to continue being sexually/psychologically/physically abusive under the guise of "you're probably just being a dramatic teenage genderfuck" they didn't say genderfuck but they definitely thought my queerness had given some reason for why my dad should be the one to help "get me on the right track".
so i ask you radfem bioessentialists, in your utopia without male therapists, what's your solution for people like myself? multigender/nonbinary people who are seeking therapy, or *gasp* perhaps even schooling to become a therapist? do i get a female therapist because i was AFAB? or no since i identify as a man and have a penis now I must be planning on raping her so i'll need a male therapist. but wait, i'm AFAB and i identify as a woman so he must be planning on raping me. so another multigender AFAB person i'm guessing? wait but if i identify as a woman and a man... and they identify as a woman and a man... who's the one planning on raping the other in this situation? I just wanna make sure I know what to do here, being part man and all, is it in my nature to rape her? or is it his nature to rape me? or do we just rape ourselves all the time since we're both men and women simultaneously.
sorry not to sound like an asshole there at the end with the sarcasm, but like, i was human trafficked for several months and am now severly agoraphobic and even i'm not this terrified that everyone i meet is going to rape me. so idk man. get a grip? have some compassion beyond yourself? some critical thinking skills maybe?

i’m not gonna get into why bioessentialism is bad and terfy because i want to keep this post to one straight forward point and here it is: i think significantly less feminists hold these bioessentialist views on men and a lot of social media just kind of misconstrues what they are saying. when they critique men as a social class or point out the ways that they differ from women or others as a social class in behavior they often assume that the “because of societal factors” goes without saying. this is kinda considered like just common knowledge with most people are very involved with social justice so they don’t even think to say it and just assume everyone already knows that. however a lot of people either straight up don’t (at no fault of their own) or are purposely misconstruing what they are saying to push a narrative.
so basically this comic except about feminism:
Tumblr media
this is just stuff i’ve noticed and thought about. feel free to disagree or share your thought but be respectful please. i will admit i’m not particularly educated and most of what i know about this comes from reading stuff on the internet or word of mouth in person conversation with other random people. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Identity that is not biological does not have to always have a biological 'reason'. Its cool if someone chooses to see and/or label their personal identity or experience as biological in a way that doesn't harm others. But its also cool for someone to prefer to detach their identity from ideas of 'biology' in a way that doesn't harm others. It is both bioessentialist and contributes to eugenics to claim an identity such as gay, queer, nd, etc. is due to an inherent 'gene' or 'brain structure' when it doesn't.
Don't force people to view their identity as biological just because you think it is. Identity does not always have to be biologically fixed and innate to be true or valid. Eugenics and its root is always unethical and searching for 'genes' relating to an identity (as opposed to maybe, like a gene that codes an enzyme) is no doubt done for eugenics reasons in this day and age.
Edit: (Please read our dni before interacting)
(radfems and exclus dont fucking touch this post, you all are not only in our dni and absolute jerks but also unable to interpret what this post actually means or read dnis apparently)

Women aren't perfect lovely angel goddesses who never commit crimes out of malice.
Women aren't justified in every abuse they commit.
Women aren't always innocent.
And if you for one minute believe that every woman is flawless, justified, and pure, you are dehumanizing them.

I don't know what trans man need to hear this but you're allowed to be angry. It doesn't make you evil. You are allowed to experience all possible emotions without apology and still be a good man.
*this is about trans men specifically, do not derail. You are free to make your own post*

Until all the radfem ideology and gender essentialism is gone, I will forever feel unsafe in the trans community as a trans man.
To any trans men who also feel unsafe: I love you. It will get better. People who bully trans men will one day be shunned, trust me. Keep going. You are amazing and wonderful. For every trans person that bullies and harasses transmascs, there are 10 more that love and support us.

Imagine being Katara.Your whole life since you were 4,you were parentified because your mom died and when you became a t(w)een, you met a guy who gives you freedom and that's when you get to do the direct action and activism you've been wanting to for years and reclaiming girlhood for yourself by being feminine with a hidden softness but beyond tough as all fuck not just attitude wise but also in your battle tactics and prowess and you only stop going out on the field because you got too old but even then you end up as a teacher to the younger generations of your people. All that, just to be remembered as the girl who ended up with the wrong guy because you choose the one who was your best friend instead of the edgelord who you said and proved you hated countless times and treated like your brother after he made things up to you because they didn't buy you were a real girl otherwise.Forget being on the news bruh,i'd be on multiple goverment watchlists

today we’re talking about the bisexual girlies who complain about feeling attracted to men. who hate being bisexual. the thing is they see all men as terrible and evil and all women as perfect angels who can do no wrong. dont think i have to explain why thats a weird binary way to view gender. as a trans masc person i would not date these types of people because if you hate men this much why are you dating me. im not a man but im more man than woman. by their logic i shouldnt be date worthy unless they secretly view me as a woman. or unless they have a bioessentialist view and believe afab people are just naturally good™. terfy vibes etc

while i've seen people talk about how gender roles are harmful overall, i don't think i see many people dive into how much they can affect trans people, more specifically how we can view our gender.
this is just my experience, but for reference, i didn't consider myself a trans man for the longest time, and aside from my mental health also impacting the way i felt about my identity (not feeling human from time to time courtesy of neurodivergency+loads of other mental issues, yeowch), the fact that i wasn't, and still am not "typically masculine" made me feel like that wasn't my label.
i'd like to be a typical bombshell blonde. if i have the choice to go on t, i don't think i will because the effects aren't something i want. i don't wear my binder much and honestly, don't know where it is right now (although to be fair, i am naturally flat-chested and am very greatful, i know and love the trans men with trouble covering!). and looking back on it, it sucks that i robbed myself of knowing my identity earlier because i felt i wasn't valid as someone who doesn't want all those things, atleast not now.
moral of the story, getting caught up in gender norms hurts both cis and trans people. let men wear dresses and women have beards if they want.
if any of yall try debating me in the rbs i'm hitting the block button

at the end of the day, pretty much all anti-trans arguments boil down to “nobody should be allowed to describe themselves in a way that I wouldn’t agree with” and that’s just sad lmao.
do you really want to live in a world where your personhood can be put on trial at a moment’s notice because a complete stranger took one look at you and decided you weren’t performing masculinity/femininity well enough for their tastes?
oh wait, that’s the world we live in now.
but you’re still not satisfied, so what would satisfy you? completely eradicating the concept of transgenderism from history? burning all the books and hiding all the scientific evidence that transgender people exist? that wouldn’t stop trans kids from being born, you know. but I suppose if they don’t even know what being trans is, they’ll be easier to control. maybe some will even report feelings of dysphoria directly to you and, like the gentle nurturing shepherd you are, you can guide them away from the dark path to degeneracy and onto the righteous path of bioessentialistic purity.
maybe you’re content to allow society to decide what you are and aren’t allowed to be, but the rest of us aren’t. don’t bother trying to force us into commiseration just because you’re bitter.

you cannot decouple bio-essentialism from racism. racism is rooted in bio-essentialism. racism is rooted in the belief that other people are lesser/not deserving/dangerous because they have darker skin.
even feminist bio-essentialism.
terfs and gender criticals will swear up and down that they aren't racist or fascist despite the fact that their rhetoric is straight up recycled from both. (see the 'trans people are unhygenic' situation where people of colour straight up called them out for recycling racist rhetoric and then they tried to side step by saying 'well i know a lot of trans people who don't wash i didn't mean it like that' and like? no? we're not fucking stupid, we know what you meant.)
this is why i don't believe them when they tell me they're people of colour and they're standing up to the racist trans agenda. maybe it's just me being an internet old, but i've just seen way too many people suddenly drop an 'but i'm [insert non-white race here] so actually you're the racist' card when they get called out (and then they turn out to be white).
it just gives me a headache.
it's completely possible some of them are women of colour.
but you aren't going to convince me by 'no, you'-ing me.
not to mention, the belief that all men are bad includes, and often rings harder against, men of colour. you know, those people who already don't benefit from the patriarchy because they aren't white. men of colour already have to deal with people automatically assuming they're predators, that they're coming for your mothers and your sisters and they're daughters, because they aren't white men.
it's basically saying
'no, i'm not racist! i buy into this predatory stereotype because he's a man, not because he's black/asian/native/hispanic/etc.!'
no matter how many 'white men are bad too!'s you include, men of colour will always face the brunt of feminist bio-essentialism.
i am only speaking as a white person, though. there are depths and layers to this discussion that are not my place to comment on.
