“emasculating” is a euphemism for “demeaning in a way only women should have to suffer”

one thing i hate about being a woman is how everything you do is seen as some kind of a performance.
if you like video games youre “trying to be a gamer girl”.
if you tell a joke you’re “trying to be quirky”.
if you like to dress a certain way your a “*insert adjective here* girl” for men to commodify and desire.
if you express anything that does not conform to the stereotypical idea of what a woman should be you’re “trying to be ‘one of the boys’”.
weird girls no longer get bullied for being “weird” they get bullied for “trying to hard to be different”.
you’re constantly walking on eggshells trying to avoid coming off like youre “trying” to be a certain way. aren’t you sick of it?

thoughts on barbie being a positive movie for men
i think its funny so many right wing men act like barbie is a man hating movie as if the final message to ken wasnt literally “dont put your worth in things you own and how women see you but instead find yourself on your own and know that you are enough without external validation and lean on other men for support” like that is so positive?? it's a very good message for men to receive? do you now want men to find themselves and know their worth lol

The UK police force is increasingly treating people's reproductive functions as criminal acts, subjecting people to blood tests and seizing data of people going through miscarriages and pregnancy losses.
The collage of policing states that it is not policy to conduct these investigations and yet more and more police officers are overstepping their remit and subjecting people to this.
People who menstruate are increasingly advised by activists not to use tracking apps because they could be used in a criminal investigation against them - so it's getting to the point where people are having to forgo healthcare applications because their own bodies and health are potentially crime scenes.
Here's a source if you want to read more because I feel like there's a real knowledge gap in the UK population about what's happening to our reproductive rights.

TW MENTIONS OF SEXUAL ASSAUT AND ABUSE
I’m going to try and say this as clearly and as loudly as I possibly can through a screen because it really needs to get to some people.
If no one from the original team you were playing with is defending or supporting you, maybe it’s because they know stuff the public don’t, and maybe that ‘stuff’ is evidence of guilt.
If Mendy is truly, honestly and thoroughly innocent, don’t you think people like Aguero or Stones, or hell, fucking Guardiola himself would be speaking out and supporting him? Does that not seem plausible? People who have spoken to him on less than two occasions and young, impressionable players are the only two groups of people who are singing praise about Mendy. Really, in your heart of hearts, don’t you think that sounds suspicious?
I’ve seen some people try and compare this to the Neymar case and that is the most vile thing you can do in my opinion. I didn’t like Neymar, I still very much don’t, but whenever I think about what happened in 2019 my heart explodes with sympathy. These braindead imbeciles using a reverse case to try and justify this is disgusting. What happened with Neymar simply cannot be used to justify this as not only did he provide hard, concrete evidence that you can still find on the internet, but it also turned out to be reversed, where HE was the one experiencing the assault and violence. THIS IS NOT THE SAME! And the fact that people are using this horrible experience to try and prove a point is appalling!
And you know what else is absolutely heinous and appalling? The fact that not even 24hrs before Dele Ali spoke out about the sexual abuse he experienced as a child, as well as other forms of hidden abuse that was caused by his mother and other adults in his life. How many footballers did i see openly supporting him? Three. And how much media coverage did this interview get? Well for me, I don’t have twitter so I can’t say anything about that over there, but I do have other social medias and I can say with full certainty that I have only seen eight videos in support. Eight. I had more hours of sleep last night.
The same people that are preaching for men’s mental health and for men abuse victims are the same people who said nothing in support of Ali. If you are one of those people reading this I want you to look at yourself and ask how that works.
And to the people who are reading and, like me, doesn’t think this affects you. Take a look at the list and count how many of your favourites are on there supporting him, because you will be heartbroken and empty.

I will always identify in some way with women, even though I am not a woman, I know what it is to be one in the eyes of a man. I know what it is like to be taught to fear men before being able to read, and to before being able to vote understanding why.
I often think of all the women who came before who gave me the rights i have today, the women who made it possible for me to read and to vote.
and I think of the women who will some day only learn those things and never why to fear men.
because even though I am not a woman, I know what it is like to be one in the eyes of a man. And that, my dear, is the worst place to be a woman.

Eloise Bridgerton is not the feminist everyone paints her out to be.
She's pretty shitty to most of the women in her life and she flat out refuses to acknowledge her privilege as a higher member of society

I think headless-woman art is a symptom of the mind-body dualism that’s so pervasive right now, especially as it pertains to women. The idea that the external body and internal mind are two entirely separate and unrelated entities and we’re all “piloting meat suits”.
Both the concept of gender identity ( XYZ brain stuck in ABC body) and false concepts of empowerment through objectification (viewing the female body as a tool that can be used to meet an end without impacting the “soul” inside) are rooted in mind-body dualism.
When someone conditioned to think like this depicts the female body, it makes sense that they’d feel the instinct to separate the mind (or in this case, the container of the mind- the head and face) from the body. To them these are two separate objects.
It also makes sense that women raised in a culture that alienates them from their own bodies would be drawn to mind-body dualism in the first place.

Woman has ovaries and a uterus; such are the particular conditions that lock her in her subjectivity; some even say she thinks with her hormones. Man vainly forgets that his anatomy also contains hormones and testicles. He grasps his body as a direct and normal link with the world that he believes he apprehends in all objectivity, whereas he considers woman's body an obstacle, a prison, burdened by everything that particularizes it.

I honestly feel really sorry for Kanye‘s wife, having to walk around like this and have all these rules written for her where she can’t wear underwear she’s not allowed to talk, she’s not allowed to wear underwear and he has her walking round and then Italy had her doing something to him, sexually and humiliating her. How is this not different from Trafficking and having an victim and so on display, this is weird it the beginning everybody said she was his handler but now I’m not sure what’s going on I know Kanye sees himself as a modern day print, but this is not the same thing. They both had Pisces moon, and I’ve done a whole thing about Pisces man and men and the cult mentality look on my page, Hugh Hefner, prints and Canyon and I had all the examples of this oh, and Elvis..
