I’m bored and high on meds and decided to make Avatar the Way of Water HCs

Jake: - has definitely, actually roared at his sons at least once out of frustration - is still super in love with Neytiri, like a teenage kid - while Neteyam may be his first born and the "golden child" of the Sullys, Kiri has a very special place in Jake's heart - carries Tuk under his arm like a purse

Neytiri: - used to sing her kids to sleep when they were little - she doesn't strike me as the parent who would get mad at her kids for saying bad words, unless they're aimed at another person - was heartbroken when she learned that Kiri cannot connect to Eywa safely - doesn't like when Jake carries Tuk under his arm like a purse - strikes me as a mother who hated being pregnant, but loves kids so much she happily did it anyway

Neteyam: - he's bi - like you cannot tell me that Neteyam is 100% straight - *was - read human books in attempts at looking smart for people he had a crush on - books were always turned upside down - "oh uhhhhh that's because I'm so smart I can read them upside down haha" - everyone knew he couldn't even read because no one can because the Na'vi do not have a written language

Kiri: - Sass Queen™ - which she got from her father, Jake - connects with Spider so well because they both feel different from everyone else around them - I will riot a lil bit if she doesn't develop feelings for a girl in the future - still calls Lo'ak "penis face" once ina while to put him in his place - is probably a vegetarian

Lo'ak: - still thinks fart jokes are funny - dumb as a brick but tries hard not to be - Payakan is his Bestie™ - tried to make a Bestie bracelet for him and Payakan - found out it didn't work - cried - tries to be tough and cool - looks too cute so it's not really working is it - "oh man I'm crushing so hard on Tsireya" proceeds to leave her with his brother's dead body for like an hour

Tuk: - i have a feeling she will look most like her father growing up, but act most like her mother - will probably have matured too much in the 3rd movie due to the trauma of the 2nd - if anything happens to Tuk in Avatar 3 i will riot on the streets with fire

Spider: - Neteyam taught him all the bad words - All The Bad Words In The Entire Na'vi Language - Spider speaks fluent Swear Words™ - but is actually a good boi - most likely annoyed the f*ck out of Quaritch on purpose in hopes of him letting Spider go while captured - obviously didn't work since Quaritch is more annoying than Spider and thus immune to annoyancy

Tsireya: - claims she's in love with Lo'ak - was mighty fine with the idea of Lo'ak swimming into Payakan's mouth when she still thought Payakan was evil - like girl wdym "I met a boy" - are you in love with him or nah?? - otherwise she's the Na'vi embodiment of glitter and rainbows - probably a little traumatized after Lo'ak left her with Neteyam's dead body - but yeah she's all good uwu

Aonung: - flirts with boys - swears he's straight as an arrow - cannot tell the difference between a bow and an arrow - like the kid has a fixation on tails and you tell me that boy is straight???

Rotxo: - no he's not one of the jerks that messed with Lo'ak - he has a look-alike you fools - Rotxo is actually a good boy and cares about people - especially Kiri 0w0

Quaritch: - played too much CoD growing up - that's it that's all there is to that cracther - i misspelled *character but i'm gonna leave it at that - too lazy to fix my mistake

Tonowari: - cutest character of them all despite being a grown man - only rivaled by Tuk - Tonowari and Tuk could have "cuteness contest" and Tonowari might actually win - like he's so full of fluff and care and love - still wouldn't say no to him railing me in bed tho

Ronal: - would kill a man to protect her spirit sister - would kill a man to protect her family - would kill a man to protect her people - would kill a man

working out a character design for Billy's crush, the mean clerk from the video store in TOMORROW'S JUST ANOTHER DAY

Drawing any human character next to Billy is hazardous because you can't NOT draw attention to how weird his proportions are. (I even made his head smaller than normal and he still looks like an alien)

That grrrl's got Kim Gordon's shirt from the Sonic Youth video for Bull in the Heather.

I said I wouldn't draw her because I'd rather the reader make up what she looks like in their mind, but... it's been a year, let's give her a face.

First outfit looks too Ruth Bader Ginsburg (she's joins the court in '93 but wasn't famous as "Notorious RGB" yet), maybe if it wasn't black velvet I could use the lace. Other ones are... whatever. The last one is how I dressed in high school (and college, and ten years after and now... shit.) but I'm trying really hard not to make the grrrl into a self-insert or a Mary Sue.

I need to make sure she belongs in their world. Kind of a dick, kind of a failure (in so much you can fail at 18). Representin' that Garafaloid '90s deadpan snark-girl character that was everywhere in the decade. Your Daria. Your Enid Coleslaw. Very hip, crap pop-culture obsessed but also "over it."

The "kinderwhore" (yeah, that's what the style was/is called) style is associated most with Courtney Love (p'too), but you see it in other women fronting rock bands like Kat Bjelland (Babes in Toyland) and Kim Shattuck (The Muffs).

The signature look: a "little girl" type of dress (usually thrifted, often an actual child's dress) in velvet with a lace collar and cuffs or a girly floral worn extremely short over ripped tights and big-ass combat boots. Platforms not heels. No make-up or garish "crazy" make up -- blurred red lipstick, smudgy eyes, "bitch" written on your face or your arm with a sharpie.

This is meant to be threatening not sexy. Associate "weak" little girl things (floral dresses, Hello Kitty, pigtails, baby barrettes) with power/aggression. You're calling back to childhood where girls do whatever they want (in an ideal world) not caring what boys think. You're not dressing for men; you stand up for yourself to say "fuck you" to men who want to belittle you.

The sexualization came with the commercialization of the look. You can't have models with smeary make-up and "cunt" written on their tits in marker in the pages of Seventeen magazine. The last gasp further devolves in the 2000s into "punk fetish" shit like Suicide Girls.

Bringing it back to the character design...my character is not in a band. She is not an activist. She's a bored suburban teenager reading about what slightly older girls and women are doing in New York and Portland in zines and thinks it's cool.

She internalizes a lot of the "fuck you" attitude (or has it already and feels validated to express it). She's also a cult movie dork with an obsessive interest that isn't the alt-rock scene, but is similarly niche/all-consuming.

(mutant mayhem spoilers)

OHMIGOSH so i saw mutant mayhem two days ago, on its official opening here in the US

it was really really good and i loved it so much and ugh i could rant about it for ages. so here's a nearly 2000 word rant about it. sorry for any spelling and grammar errors

(more under the cut)

so first of all, lemme talk about the characters real quick. my favorite character continues to be donnie but all of them were really likeable in this one, and the dynamic the turtles had is amazing.

mm!leo was a very very good version of leo, staying relatively close to older versions of leo but having some of the more fun traits that leo has had recently in tmnt media (for example, he was willing to do some things with his brothers, even if they went against splinter. even if he felt bad about it.) he was funny and cool, really bringing it all together. nicolas cantu (that how you spell his name? idk) did a great job as his voice as well, he pretty much perfectly illustrated all the emotions he needed to for leo throughout the whole movie. the only thing i didn't like about leo was the fact that he had a crush on april, but that's mostly a me thing because i've never been a fan of the turtle x april ships, they're just uncomfortable for me. they played it off pretty well though.

mm!mikey was really enjoyable for a character who is generally a little bit hit-or-miss for his moments. it was really a hit for all of the times he was on screen or talked which i'm very glad about. i a little wish that the movie focused even more on mikey, but maybe the series/sequel will. he was funny and not nearly as gross as some previous iterations were (ahem 2012) and it was just a really fun time with him. he was pretty much the best parts of all of my favorite versions of mikey all put in one. shamon brown jr also did an amazing job with him!!!!! he's a really good voice actor and he was pretty much perfect for mikey. and yeah, one thing i think they could've done better is just giving him more screen time and focus i think?

mm!raph was really great. you could tell that he was definitely raph but he wasn't super aggressive or hard to talk to. he was funny and there were plenty of moments that made me laugh with him. even though the movie didn't go terribly far into all the characters, you could tell that he definitely has a soft spot for his brothers and for splinter as well. seeing him as a turtle tot was amazing as well by the way, he looked like a cinderblock. and yeah, you bet i gotta bring up brady noon, who was amazing for raph. (really, casting all teenagers for the teenage mutant ninja turtles was a great casting choice on all levels.) even though he was this kinda aggressive guy, you can tell that he has dreams and he has people he cares about. it was really great to see for raph.

and of course i gotta talk about my favorite little guy. mm!donnie was SOO GOOd and like my favorite from the whole movie, he was really fussing great. his design is so good just because they really incorporated the tech stuff into his design, and the stickers on his bō were a nice touch. one thing i wish they would've shown more of is stuff that donnie made himself, y'know? donnie's original tech is usually kinda pushed to the front in tmnt which is great, i love seeing donnie tech. but the main thing donnie did in this movie is fight with his regular bō and use his phone and drive a car or something? i hope we get to see his tech in the future. also, micah abbey did such an amazing job at him@!!1 i mean i really enjoyed how he had a higher voice which is NORMAL for teenage boys, like people's voices change at different rates. he sounded great!! i am sad we didn't get to see more scooter action with him though

april i sure have thoughts about. i mean the thoughts are all positive. she was such a good april and an amazing addition to the cast. first of all, i am strong supporter in her design. sure am a big fan of the non-white aprils. a lot of fans didn't like her design for whatever reason?? some of them didn't like that she's not white and others had issues with her body shape, which is stupid. she's a teenage human, there's no reason to give her the "perfect" adult woman's body (in their eyes anyway) when she's meant to just kinda be this a little average but nonetheless badass ally to the turtles. her personality was great, she felt like a real teenager. her arc of getting (mostly) over her camera sensitivity was really nice, and i appreciate that she wasn't totally over it by the end. ayo edebiri was a really great cast for her as well. (also, i'm glad that even though she agreed to go to prom with leo, it seems like she still sees him purely platonically. i will NOT stand for another 2012 donnie and april situation.)

anyway, splinter, amiright? it's interesting how they went with the route that he was originally a rat. he was a really good character and one of my favorite versions of splinter now. he really was just trying to be a good father to these turtles in this weird little family situation, and i can't blame him for being so overprotective of them when he was made to be a monster in times square by mrbeast. jackie chan was a great choice to play him. (i don't support what jackie chan did to his daughter though btw.) the fact that he learned martial arts through old tapes, new movies and fussing youtube (a video of a channel i watch was in it by the way????) is amazing.

okay now all the other characters were really cool too. all the mutants that baxter stockman created were really interesting and it's great how they brought back so many existing characters while adding new ones. bebop and rocksteady were actually funny which i don't really expect from bebop and rocksteady most of the time to be honest. superfly was actually really scary for being this kids movie villain, which i guess isn't very surprising for tmnt. he got away with kinda a surprising amount of swearing for it though, a whole lot of instances of "damn" and stuff. mondo gecko was very fun and i was actually a bit scared when mikey found his tail. cynthia utrom didn't play as big a part in this movie as i expected her to but she will definitely be a bigger part in the future, especially considering that she's obviously meant to be an utrom. (and oh my god that end scene??? but i'll get into that later) i sure was a big fan of superfly's family turning on him for the benefit of humanity (and the chance of living with the turtles and splinter.) the voice cast was great for all the side characters. i think it's really cool that the main cast (as in the turtles and april) were all voiced by younger, less well-known actors while the side cast and villains were all played by the much better-known actors.

anyway onto the art, IT WAS AMAZING AAAAHHH as an artist this was on fussing spider-verse levels of art and animation. it looked like teenagers helped design it, which is what they were going for. the movement looked great and SOO natural, aahh!! the fight choreo was amazing too, there was that one scene where they were trying to find info about superfly was so well put together. there really were a few stand-out moments but all of it was so good. i love it when the ninja turtles actually use their weapons as they should be, which has happened in the past but it was so clear that they did their research here. also i'm glad that jeff rowe and seth rogen said that they ensured that the animators weren't being mistreated or overworked.

anywho, the music amiright? the soundtrack being based on NYC-based rap and hip hop was a really great choice. that one song that goes "can i kick it, yes you can" was a great choice for the main title-y thing of that movie. it hit all the places it needed to.

some other notes i wanna bring up:

the stakes were real my guys. at multiple points, i felt such genuine fear for these fictional mutant turtles in my heart i thought i would have a stroke or something. for example, when cynthia just kept shocking them??? are they not aware of the damage that like father like son did to ninja turtles fans???? also when superfly just had them in his hands and you could HEAR their shells crunching a little bit. UGH that hurt me fr. it felt so so real and it was so so good.

the fact that the cardboard cutouts that splinter acquired were chris hemsworth, chris pine and chris pratt lmao

are any of the characters autistic? i was thinking about this and to be honest i think yes, some of them probably are autistic. but it's not as clear as it is in rise, especially with donnie, y'know?

about the pop culture references and memes that they used didn't actually feel dated or cringe to me. i've heard others complaining about that but it didn't bother me much, it felt how teenagers actually talk. (i'm a teenager btw, i'm pretty used to how we talk.)

making leo have a crush on a girl after rise!leo lmao

but speaking of leo having a crush on april, there is more i wanna say. so i do not ship them, i've never shipped any of the turtles with april. it just don't sit right with me. but i think they still have the opportunity to play it off with elegance and grace, by having april straight up refuse him when he's honest with her about how he feels. hoping that will happen at some point. i've been asked to dances and stuff by friends, i hope that's why april said yes to him asking her to prom at the end. i will find seth rogen if they put leo and april together in the end. (for legal reasons this is a joke.) but yeah.

and the end scene???? oh god what do you guys gonna think shredder's gonna be like in mm???? because as much as i like the pretty goofy side of shredder that we've seen in the past (like '87 shredder was so silly compared to 2012 or god forbid rise shredder), i would love to see a really just horrifying version of shredder that they would actually maybe kill off in the end? and then there's another sequel where leo has to grapple with his own conflicted feelings about killing shredder or something. that would be so real lmao

i'm really looking forward to the future of mutant mayhem, even though i still want more rise!! and also we must keep showing support for the wga/sag-aftra strike, even though it's gonna delay production on the next parts of the series.

it was a great movie though and a great use of one hour and thirty nine minutes.

My boi Jughead and how I discovered I was aspec (long post)

So, to start off, I'm cishet. But all my life, I've felt different. Even as a teenager I never had the desire to have a boyfriend, or so much as date anybody. I never even crushed on anybody. I've never kissed anyone in my life. And... yeah, I'm a- yeah, you get the idea. I've never been turned on by anyone or anything in my life.

Well into my adulthood, I stopped thinking I was a late bloomer and that something was seriously fucking wrong with me. I felt like a robot or an alien. I felt like a freak. I always hated myself for it, but at the same time, I could never force myself to fall in love or feel attraction or even try hooking up with anybody (as tempted as I've been, just to feel like a normal human being), let alone get married. I always knew, as abnormal as it was, I was happier single and free. I just never cared about it or wanted it, period. But I still hated myself, and felt like a total abnormal weirdo.

On the other hand, it's not that I fail to appreciate that somebody's good-looking. I can sometimes appreciate somebody's looks, but without having any desire to get to know them, let alone sleep with them. But it's not like I even always notice a person's looks; sometimes it stands out to me, sometimes not. And my eyes or thoughts never gravitate to their ass at all.

And here's the interesting thing, and this is important for later. I actually enjoy scenes in media (even fanfiction) where a couple is dating or snuggling or talking cute to one another- I'm a total sucker for fluff in fiction, I admit! It's sweet, it's adorable, it gives me all the feels! And even though it's never been a priority at all in my life, I admit that if I got to know somebody well enough- very well- maybe I could see myself dating them and experiencing those sweet, special, fuzzy moments too (which is why I identity as demiromantic).

...But for the most part, I draw the line at sex (including foreplay), whether in fiction or my own life. ESPECIALLY pure smut or anything hardcore.

I've always related very strongly to Jughead Jones from the Archie comics. Even as a kid, he was my favorite character. He never cared about romance or dating; in fact, it totally repelled him. He literally ran from girls! Hormone-driven the boy was not, unlike his friends! And... unlike me, he totally didn't question it. He was comfortable in his 'weirdness', he embraced it, he totally accepted himself. I always envied how he was so cool with being so out-of-place in society and not caring what others thought of him. Like me, ol' Juggy was much happier enjoying food or a good nap. I used to wonder if Jughead was gay, except he never wanted to be involved with anybody.

Then in 2015, Archie Comics rebooted their flagship title. And Jughead- who'd been around since the 40s like the rest of the Archie gang, LONG before being ace or aro was even a thing- was officially established as ace in the rebooted comic (but nothing was mentioned about him being aro too/aroace, oddly enough, but it was still strongly implied he is).

That was the very first time I'd heard of the term 'asexual.' I was intrigued, as well as curious. So, I looked it up... and suddenly, EVERYTHING. MADE. SENSE. About Jughead, and more importantly, myself. Around the same time, I also discovered the term 'aromantic', which equally applies to Jughead. Jughead is, and always has been... aroace.

On the aspectrum, I'm demiromantic and sex-repulsed. I'm more tolerant with sex scenes in media- and maybe the idea of sex for me personally- if it's deep and meaningful in a long-time relationship already built on love, trust, and respect. And tbh, I think I'm a little demisexual too (although mostly ace) because of those strong values of mine. I don't ever want to have sex with anybody, but if I did, I would only want it to be with somebody I've established a real bond with and have known/trusted for a long time.

To this day, even after learning that I'm aspec and that I'm NOT alone, I still struggle with accepting myself. It's not nearly as bad as it used to be. But it's still something I go through.

Oh. And here's a perfect example of how they could've totally brought in more ace/aroace representation in Hollywood, but fucked up... on the worst level imaginable. CW's Riverdale, which came out in 2017. You'd think they would've stuck to the decades-long source material with Jughead, right? Especially after he'd been officially established as aroace in recent years, right? WRONG. They put him in a relationship with Betty. And a few other women on the show, but mostly Betty.

FRIGGING WHAT? JUGHEAD'S ALWAYS BEEN A LONE WOLF, HE DOESN'T DO RELATIONSHIPS- THAT'S HIS BIGGEST TRAIT (aside from eating). To break decades worth of canon is just inexcusable, but especially after they FINALLY establish him as aroace and give some much needed representation... I can't fucking even. Just. WHAT. And Archie Comics was actually behind the show, so they REALLY have no excuse. Even Cole Sprouse, Jughead's actor, was pissed.

Alrighty, it has taken me ages to get around to finishing all of this, because of unfortunately unavoidable things, but I am done with the semester now and so ready to spew all of my thoughts on the unsuspecting audience of poor people who follow me.

So, without further ado, I present:

Sophie's Unhinged and Excessively Hyperactive Word-Vomit "Review" of Chapter 11 of S.O.S.

Ooooh, Curtain’s evil villain motivations for tipping the boys off balance is so sinister. It’s interesting, because he is using the same tactics he used on/around Nicholas when they were children. Just. The narrative parallels.

Garrison!!

She’s so funny. Even with all she’s been through, she sees right through Curtain to his theater kid core.

(It’s still really sad, though, because she doesn’t get why he’s trying to get her opinion and he keeps forcing her)

“For someone who was fine bypassing ethical standards to rush their timeline, Curtain still put a ridiculous amount of effort into aesthetics. Not that any of this would matter if his new messengers didn’t adapt to The Whisperer.” It just hits so hard, for some reason. Maybe because you can really understand the difference of perspective between her and Curtain.

Oh!! “psychics or telepaths”, we’re getting somewhere!

It makes a lot of sense that the Whisperer tech would pick that kind of thing up!! That’s so clever, and very much something Garrison would take into account. You are so good at putting these little details into it that give the story so much more dimension and open up a lot more paths for the characters to take.

Lindsey!!! Lindsey gets a part and can do things!! I’m so excited for her :)

Aaaaand she’s got a crush on Isaac. I can’t believe you’ve gotten me extremely invested in this as soon as I got to that line. She’s so sweet, though! I’m excited to see more of her.

And you can tell Garrison is trying to be nice, even though she’s having a breakdown fifty percent of the time and doesn’t really want to deal with teenagers.

It cracks me up that they made a full model of Reynie. Why. Just, why. Did he leave some of his clothes behind? I feel like it would have been better to make one of Kate. You can’t tell me they looked at Madge and went “Yes. I am certain that Reynie, our resident soft-hearted child who’d probably cry if he saw this bird eat a live mouse, he is the one who will be most in-tune with this child. Not Kate, no. There’s no way that the girl who was raised by a circus would be the one who will volunteer to handle the actual falcon we’re about to send to them”

I’m so proud of Number Two for breaking Madge out of a terrible zoo. 10/10 No Comments, one of the best plot points I’ve seen.

Also, this Madge perspective is so cool! Omniscient narrators don’t always remember that they can do anything, but this was a fantastic usage of it.

She’s trying so hard. Madge has made no mistakes ever she’s beautiful.

MISS PERUMAL YEAH

““Oh, Hello.” replied Nicholas awkwardly, hoping that this woman, who clearly cared about Reynie, wouldn’t notice the newly destroyed dummy that happened to be wearing one of his sweater vests.” Ajasdjgadskjl What even. He’s so silly, but that is certainly not a situation you want to be in with Miss Perumal.

I’ve said it before, but the little descriptions and dialogue tags you add to the lines from the show are so good!!! Just tiny things, like calling her “the woman” and then immediately switching to “Dipika” when she introduces herself make it so incredibly amazing. You don’t have to worry at all about it being “boring” or “redundant” because people have already seen the show.

And now we’re sad again because of Milligan. I love him but he is so full of melancholy right now :(

I love how you’ve been incorporating Mr. Benedict’s tendency to just adopt every single child into Curtain’s character. He may not be going about it properly, or for the right reasons, but he’s just as inclined to take in (abduct) children as his brother.

Isaac cameo!!

The details in how you explain all of the tech, from the Whisperer to the Waiting Room, is ingenious and thrilling to read and I am loving it!!

It just repeats people’s thoughts!! It’s not really like an AI, more of an echo chamber that can project into people’s minds, that is so neat!

Of course, Reynie is able to distance himself by thinking about Miss Perumal, that is such a good paragraph.

And the Curtain/Nicholas parallels are back again!! He’s such a contradiction; He misses his brother and wants him back, but he also can’t stand when things remind him of Nicholas. Oh boy this man needs so much therapy goodness gracious.

Good job, Reynie for being cautious!!

Oh. Oh no this is one of my least favourite bits it’s just so awkward aaahhhhhhh

“The first thing Number Two had done was quickly search Miss. Perumal’s bags for weapons, which was fine with Dipika, since she knew that Number Two wouldn’t find anything (no one ever did).” This is why she’s one of the best characters ever. I did really like the book version, of course, but I also love the way they changed her into Pink Biker Vigilante Mom.

AAAHHHH YOUR WAY OF DESCRIBING HER THOUGHTS IS SO COOL. “Dipika Perumal had met people who wanted to hurt children. She had met people who hated children, who even enjoyed hurting them. She knew what that looked like in a person, you could see it in their faces. And she could see that Mr. Benedict and his companions were not those people. But just because they didn’t enjoy hurting children didn’t mean they wouldn’t use them, and it didn’t mean they weren’t up to anything nefarious.” YES. OH MY WORD SO GOOD.

Also Mr. Benedict being like “Yes, if I tell this lady that my recently discovered twin brother is behind all of this, it will definitely give me credibility. This is the best option”

There’s something about Number Two fixating on the food as a way to enter the conversation/be sure that if something goes wrong she’ll be there that rings very true to me. She anxious about this, and she wants to protect Mr. Benedict and exert some kind of control because she couldn’t keep the house from being broken into and now they’re in the woods and she can’t keep Rhonda from wanting to quit and she couldn’t keep Miss Perumal from finding them and the only thing she can control right now is the stuff she makes with her own hands and she’s scared that she’s falling behind because of all her failures and you can feel that she just needs to do something. You do a good job of portraying that.

CAN YOU PLEASE STOP MAKING ME CRY OVER THESE CHARACTERS????? FOR FIVE SECONDS???? OH MY WORD

It’s been kind of intriguing to see Curtain’s feelings about Reynie and Sticky slowly switch.

And now we’re back to Mr. Benedict’s questionable attempts to explain himself. Why on earth would she need background for the information you just dropped on her about your brother? That certainly wasn’t something to be expected.

She knows!! She sees the button and that whole paragraph looking into how she feels about the situation and how she fought Curtain to avoid brainsweeping the children is bone-chilling I don’t know how you managed to make us feel that way when I know what’s going to happen it’s nuts how good at this you are.

Their decaying dynamic is driving me up a wall. She doesn’t get why Curtain cares about her, but she’s using it to her advantage, all the while Curtain’s still manipulating her, but he’s trying to do it in the least malicious way possible. (And he’s failing)

Garrison’s little dive into Curtain’s weird delusions is very interesting. He really is unsettling, because he isn’t some mastermind who spends all his time distracting people from his real intentions, he’s spending just as much time trying to convince himself of what he’s telling others that he can’t see clearly anymore.

I really appreciate how you give Miss Perumal her own opinions and personality, but you keep her thoughts directed at Reynie. That’s a tough balance.

The narrative tension in the details of how Dipika leaves thinking that Mr. B and Co aren’t intentionally hurting people, but should be stopped nonetheless, and she doesn’t see how badly she’s shaken him is so good!!

Thoughts on Jaune? He gets such a raw deal in the FNDM, both being hated and loved far too much in my opinion.

Jaune. My boi. My really traumatised son boi.

I did not hate him but i sure as hell did not like him, especially during volume 1 and 2. I feel like the general dislike for him in volume 1 was because everyone (including me) really wanted to see more of RWBY but we got slapped with Jaundice which is arguable not a bad (predictable and clichéd yes) arc, but it literally could have happened at any other time.

He was an ass in volume 2, take no for an answer my dude pls but once his whole crush on Weiss ended he really did become a lovable little dork and he did have moments of character growth (chaotic team leader for the win!) before the events of volume 3.

And Jaune has not a had a peaceful moment since. No seriously he lost his partner and found out that it was all because an immortal wizard didn't take a flu shot and his wife left him and killed took the kids and the world is fucked but he has to help cause he's a huntsman and what else does he have but he has no semblance and then he meets his 'what could have been' person's killer and has a glorious breakdown with tears and screaming and randomly flinging his sword around and yikesss he is literally almost ready to die (concerned eyes from teammates) and then his friend gets stabbed but he's got his semblance and okay things are looking up but NO the evil witch divorcee is unkillable but hey he's got his team and his friends so yes he's gonna fight and he's also really following his passion for crime (STEAL STEAL STEAL) cause better late than never but then it turns out the kingdom they're headed to is actually being governed by a fascist but hey he's got some new beats, his hair is fruity fresh and dare he say it he might just be the most mentally stable person in their squad of depressed teenagers he's helping kids cross the streets! and he's finally doing something he's proud of! cause its all him and okay things are spiralling but he's still got his funky clothes and his fresh haircut and he's in a whale but he's okay and then there's a bomb but he's okay and it's kinda bad but he's got his Johnny Bravo hairstyle and so ITS FINE they've got a magic gateway with zero regulations and he just got hit with a rock but HE'S FINE he can do this he is cool he is calm he can do this and things go to shit there's chaos his friends are hurt but he's still here and he can help its still okay and-- OH WAIT ITS MERCY KILLING WITH A STEAL CHAIR!! and then his mental health falls into the void.

So yeah personally I'm kinda worried because he has not been having a very good time at all and now he's alone on freaky magical talking mice land and now he has to live with the guilt that he made a choice at a time and I honestly can't judge whether he did the right thing or not and maybe he can't either there's no right or wrong he did it and if the psychedelic island is supposed to help you figure out who you are I wonder if Jaune will be able to accept what he finds.

hat game (do keep in mind some of this info is either right off the top of my head or from an unfinished fanfic that ihaveng touched in months so it might be a little wonk, also cw for suicide):

The royal family of Subcon. We know em. We love the one guy that got the worst out of it (poor prince). They have a long history of mental illness, but it seems to affect the women of the family worse. Of course, Vanessa got that shit too, but from her dad instead of her mom (her mom is way too nice for her own good bc of her own mother). Along with the history of mental illness, they also have a history of. Ahem. Murdering their husbands. So yeah, princess bitchface also killed her boy. Sucks for him but now I have TWO hot ghost boyfriends so that slays ig /j

SPEAKING OF THE ROYAL FAMILY, another character who is very very important to the main lore of the actual game is actually related to them. I’m not going to say who though. You have to guess. Or wait for me to write it somewhere. All I’m gonna say is: keep watch for the last name Niagoran.

As I said in Alex’s info, he only realized he had a crush on Moon after they both passed, but even worse? Moon was still in The Horizon at the time. He only realized his gayness when it had been 6 years after the kingdom’s downfall, and Moon was stuck in The Horizon for almost 200 years. Poor dudes. They’re together now, though, bc i h8 bad endings

More Alex angst bc i said so: he offed himself when he found out the prince was dead. That’s where the mark on his neck came from. It’s a soul mark of rope burn.

Typically I’d be writing SO MUCH MORE angst, but I’ve cried enough this week so here’s random shit I wanna talk about related to this au:

Moon, Chrome, and Alex have officially adopted Theophania (or mustache girl)!!!! Moon calls her “Princess Tiff” bc of his royal heritage, and she says it’s weird, but it actually makes her super happy bc she’s. Had a pretty shit life. I mean, no normal teenage girl would attempt planetary genocide.

Chrome introduced Moon and Alex to kirby, and Moon has been absolutely obsessed with it ever since. He WILL explain the entire lore to you if you let him (you should definitely do that btw). Chrome also introduced them to various other things, like fnaf, minecraft, and pretty much anything nintendo. Also emo music, because a lot Chrome’s friends never left their hs emo phase. Alex likes it a lot. Moon finds it kinda scary though. He prefers soft indie music, and classical stuff.

Hattie (or Moxxia) and bow (or Axxiori) are twin sisters, born on the planet of Zentruvia. It’s a couple thousand light years away from earth, and it’s home to a very highly advanced civilization. Time Pieces are created using materials that can (as far as they know) only be found on Zentruvia.

The huge Time Piece in Subcon is an actual Time Piece. Mox has no clue how or why it’s there, nor does Axxi. Moon is scared of it, Snatcher and Alex think it’s cool, and Chrome pretends it doesn’t exist to prevent existential crises.

Snatcher is a physical manifestation of the prince’s anger at Vanessa. He was a very, very kind individual, but deep down, all he wanted was revenge against the corrupted queen. That anger was so powerful that it manifested itself into a physical form, made purely of emotional matter. That’s why Snatcher is mad all the time—his emotions are the source of his power.

AND KIRBY STUFF:

So, you remember Blast Knight Hara? Well, I mentioned her by name for a specific reason. She’s a somewhat important character to this AU. Keep an eye out for stuff abt her.

Speaking of Hara, the friend she was using as support at the beginning of Taboo was not Galacta. It was one of the other heroes of yore. I know my wording made it seem like it was Gala she was holding onto, but it’s not him. He’s… a bit more than a friend to her. Heheh.

After Galacta’s crystallization, Hara personally spoke out and protested against his punishment. She said it was unfair, that he literally needed to use Soul Crystallization to stop Void, but the priestess didn’t listen. Hara was exiled two days later. Told to take her ship and blast off to the farthest corners of the universe so she “didn’t corrupt anyone else.” The Yonna and the High Priestess are very adamant about Soul Crystallization being horrible.

The Ykka are the gods of the Ancients’ religion, said to be all-powerful beings who built the universe itself. The Ykka are also believed to be the ones who bestowed magical powers unto the Ancients.

Hara had a son, only 2 weeks old by the time of her exile. He was taken from her before she was exiled so she didn’t “corrupt him,” and soon sent off in his own custom starship, built to train and raise him in his dreams. It’s a common practice when exiling parents of Star Warriors.

Galacta Knight is actually a direct creation of Void’s. In the lore, it’s stated that Void reincarnates themself into a physical form based off of gathered emotions. That’s what makes him so powerful; his direct relation to Void makes him incredibly overpowered, even for a Star Warrior (it’s pretty rare for a Star Warrior to be directly created by Void).

Morpho Knight is literally millions of years old, maybe even older that Void. They were created directly by Nebulis as the Kirby multiverse’s sole Grim Reaper, and have been doing their job for god knows how long. Eventually, though, there were too many people dying everywhere, so the Grim Reaper system thingy was created (that’s a WHOLE other can of worms that concerns the entire multiverse itself, so it’ll be posted in a separate Nebulis-centered lore thing), and the rest is history.

The people who captured Elfilis and Fiktra were Draconic. Discovera was run by a man who at first really just wanted to protect the world from calamity, but after running into Liz and Gen, his mindset completely changed. It was at this point that he became completely obsessed with power, and his soul was permanently corrupted.

Liz and Gen were both in captivity for 2,045+ years. The first 30 were during the experimental era, the next 15 were after the warp-experiment incident, and the rest was spent in complete solitude. Gen was asleep for most of it, about 3 years after Elfilis initially was split.

Liz was revived 3 times, technically 4 if you count the soul boss stuff in the true arena as a separate revival. First was their initial absorbing of the rat, second was in the ultimate cup, and third was… something I can’t explain here bc we’re not at that point in the story yet!!!! Hahhahahahahahgsgxgs it’ll be posted separately at some point

Hii, Roxy!💞 What are some headcanons you have about Peter Pan and other related characters (aka Tink, Hook, Smee, Wendy etc.). Btw I'm refering to the ones from the animated Disney movies, not other versions, just to be clear.

Ok so...

I think I may have covered a few about Hook in my separate headcanon page for him, but I'll give it a whirl with the others as well.

Warning: Mentions of Sex and relationships.

All the toons in Peter Pan were created in 1949, four years before Peter Pan was released. That means they're now about 72/73. Despite that Hook still has his sharp edge, Peter is still young at heart and Smee's still...Smee.

2. Hook and Smee are basically inseparable. Nothing romantic because Smee basically acts as Hook’s father figure. [Not that Hook will EVER admit that.] Smee looks after Hook, he can navigate Hook’s moods effortlessly and he is the ONLY person [aside from Doctor Scratchensniff] that Hook will open up to.

3. Smee is a bit of a confident for the other Peter Pan cast members. There’s just something about him that makes people open up. It helps he has a bit of a short memory so if you tell him something he’s likely to forget exactly what it is you told him. [Hook gets around this by writing him a to-do list]. The only downside is that if you want him you have to essentially tell Hook that you want to talk to Smee because they’re both based on the Jolly Rodger.

4. Over the years Hook and Peter have got a bit closer. Initially they hated each other [being designed before they toons were encouraged to be friends by the producers] and frequently fought each other like they did in the movie. Eventually they reached a truce that they would leave each other alone during important events [like their birthdays] which - after a few more years - led to them leaving each other alone the majority of the time. Skip to about twenty years after the movie [so 1960′s] and they were pretty much cool with each other and occasionally even asked each other for help if necessary. Peter’s asked Hook more than Hook’s asked Peter to be honest.

The times when Hook needs help from a young teenager is not very often, the times when Peter needs advice/help from Hook however...more frequent than he thought it would be. Peter’s asked him for advice about the lost boys [They look up to Peter like a older brother/father figure and Peter finds that...odd] and Wendy and her brothers to. [He does have a crush on Wendy, he just doesn’t know how to express it very well.]

5. In connection to the above, Wendy initially didn’t have a crush on Peter because she found him immature and annoying. As time went on however Peter matured mentally a little - because he’s the boy he won’t grow up he won’t ever be fully mature and will always have an optimistic somewhat-childish outlook - but he’s got to the level of a older teenager, about 18/19 years old, but without the sex drive. This suits Wendy just fine. They officially got together quite late when they were about 30 [very late for the 60′s] but have been together ever since.

6. As you may have guessed from the above Wendy is not actually with her on-screen husband Edward. There was quite a bit of debate about that because for that movie Wendy had to receive not only a husband and children, but a ‘grown-up’ design. Peter would [at that time] receive no such design. She eventually said yes, figuring she and Peter could just learn to work with it.

Yeah, didn’t happen. The design was fine at first - Wendy just went around in her original design. The issue was that after the film Edward got on with his life - while seeing his children at the weekend and still trying to be a present part of their lives - meanwhile Wendy and Peter started trying to raise Jane and Danny. This was difficult as despite being 49 years old Peter - as previously mentioned - was more on the level of a 18/19 year old. John and Michael helped out a lot as did Hook [Much to everyone’s surprise] and Smee. Jane and Danny even call Hook and Smee ‘Uncle Hook and Uncle Smee’. [At one point they tried Granddad, but both Hook, Smee and Mr and Mrs Darling shot that down]

7. Peter does love Jane and Danny, but his instinct is to play with them rather than look after them. Which is why there’s so many other people involved in raising Jane and Danny. He does look after them - in his own way - but lacks the ability to actually parent them properly. Think of how he was with the lost boys - just letting them get on with things - and you’ve got how he is with Jane and Danny.

Now you might think he would also lack the ability to be a good husband to Wendy, but it actually works. It helps that she hasn’t lost her imagination and ability to think/see outside the box and that she’s known Peter since literally forever. Peter is a unusual thinker but he really loves Wendy and does his best to care for her and make sure she’s happy.

When he first realised he may have feeling for her he was about 18/19. Hearts started appearing around his head whenever he was near her [a sure sign that a toon is falling in love] so he did the same thing anyone else would in that situation.

He went to Hook for advice.

There were a lot of things Hook could have said in those circumstances, but he decided to be considerate and told Peter to give Wendy flowers to show her that he loved her.

Great idea. Issue was, which flowers? Peter asked Tink because she was a girl so she’d know flowers, right? Now by this point Tink wasn’t in love with Peter anymore, but she held a little animosity towards Wendy because she thought of her as to ‘goody-goody’, so she decided to mess with her via Peter. She told Peter to get Wendy dandelions.

Dandelions are weeds, not flowers. Wendy knew this and started laughing when Peter presented her with the ‘flowers’. He was quite hurt and explained that Tinkerbelle had told him to get her said ‘flowers’. Wendy understood immediately, kissed him on the cheek, and told him they were lovely.

8. Peter initially didn’t want to be in the Chip and Dale movie due to what happened with his voice actor Bobby Driscoll. However he was eventually convinced to do it when he realised he was getting an ‘older’ design. Granted it was uglier than he would have liked, but it was still older! It meant Wendy could freely walk around in her older design with him without feeling weird. [People used to think she was his literal mother. It was very awkward]. When he got the design the first thing he did was show Wendy and take her out to ‘Bosko’s’ for a romantic meal.

Wendy was so happy she started crying, then Peter was worried because he thought he’d made everything worse, so she had to explain to him that these were happy tears and yes, she loved his new design and seriously Peter, I’m fine, you don’t need to keep handing me tissues -

I just had a thought, so my cousin now follows me on IG (she's I think 13 now?) and I was thinking now that supernatural is finished (I pray she never watches it though lol), Jensen isn't really as much as a teenage heartthrob (I hate using that word for some reason) because all the teens that have crushed on him whilst supernatural aired are now adults or at least in their early 20s? Careerwise I am not sure if Jensen is going to play a character like Dean (who as a character is very much a teenage heartthrob) but also his age demographic or his main fanbase have aged?

Then again what constitutes as a teenage hearthrob? I mean what I am saying here is do you think Jensen would still attract teen audiences with his future roles? His roles after supernatural were the boys (which I can't really picture 13-15 year olds watching - unless they're secretly watching it but the show isn't aimed at that age demographic), then we have Big Sky - which is maybe? I mean I am not even sure but it's in the 18-49 demographic, and I feel like it's not something early teens would watch? But that could be just my prudent 25 year old self saying that even though I watched game of thrones when I was 14 (but never really watched it after a few episodes because I didn't enjoy it and the only reason I watched it was with my brother) and used to for whatever reason watch south park when was 11-12 lol (again no idea why I watched it, but never watched it again after that).

no, jensen will not play a "teenage heartthrob" again. that's kinda like.... i'm not really sure what the definition is, but absolutely that would be a teens/twenty-something in a young adult show that's screwed toward that demographic. jensen is in his 40s and, apart from the supernatural reboot (ayyy. it's coming. i can taste it) and the winchesters, i don't imagine him in a show that's screwed toward 18 year olds ever again. (even if spn does have a reboot, part of me thinks it'll be on whatever will take the place of HBO max or a streaming service of the like, and since the audience of spn has in fact aged with the show, i doubt even that will pull the demo it did when it first started airing in 2005.) if jensen does take a role in a show like that, like the winchesters for example, it's clear that he's not gonna be the main character and the show will focus on the younger characters (in this case - john, mary, and co) and jensen will be in the supporting role. but the way his career is going post-spn, i don't envision him taking a role like that any time soon in a tv show that isn't in the spn universe.

but yeah, he's definitely aged out of the "teenage heartthrob" category because like, he isn't a teenager. he's an adult. so i imagine, as is the way of things, his roles are gonna be much more mature from here on out. which i'm excited about!!! i'm excited to see what he has in store because he's clearly very talented and it's cool to see the world paying attention to him (they will never know him like we do, though. of course.)

(PowerRuff Part 12) {asking help from a brat}

Just a quick little side note the girls are still preteens I just had to make them small teenagers with the help of the new preteen mod just because of like more poses and stuff and we're getting really close to ending preteen time and I think you guys will like the teenage stuff more because there's more drama and cool stuff also everybody looks kind of different because I accidentally deleted my save files and stuff so I kind of had to remake everybody By the way I am working on stuff I'm here but I have my other account where I post my original stories like with my own characters and if you want to see any of that stuff go to TreVeon'sstory Paradise

So it's been a couple of months and The powerpunk girls are still living with the Powerpuff girls and they love living with them the Powerpuff girls almost feel like sisters to them except berserk has kind of developed a little crush on blossom but aside from that they just love seeing the city because the Powerpuff girls keep showing them around the only problem is The powerpunk girls love living with Powerpuff girls but their house kind of has too many rules and they don't really go out to parties all that much

And on top of all of that the professor got some money and bought a new house for him and the girls to live in Bliss bubbles buttercup and blossom love it a lot they even all have their own rooms but the girls are kind of starting to get worried because The powerpunk girls have just been sleeping on the couch because there's not much space

The way I was vibrating in my seat when Toge and Yuuta went on their mission… there was no reason they had to animate Toge like that… he didn’t have to stick his tongue out before he spoke, he didn’t have to do like four backflips in a row, it was personal. Also I haven’t stopped thinking about him just popping his finger back into place… he’s insane… I’m in love. He and Yuuta are very <333 to me. Everytime Yuuta’s internal monologue was like “Oh Toge is so cool,” I was like yeah you’re right <33

5. There are lots of things I don’t Get about Geto, and I don’t really see the hype about him, but I found it entertaining that he was so… lighthearted? Idk if that’s the right word, but I was like yeah I see why he and Gojo would have gotten along. He’s still the bad guy in all my daydreams and aus, and I will not change that </2 sorry to him and Toji who I don’t even know, but it’s my birthright to drag their names through the mud somebody has to be that girl

so I'm relistening to one of my favorite podcasts, kingkiller chronicles, where a group of people (re)read name of the wind and critique it. in the first episode they most talk about the author, patrick rothfuss. highlights so far

the host who likes his books the most reported that when she met him at an event, she asked him for writing advice. he looked at her and went "I'm patrick rothfuss. who are you?"

that time (admittedly quite a few years ago) he wore a shirt that said "joss whedon is my master now" I found the picture on his blog and you can too if you google it

the fact that his twitter profile is art of himself and his protagonist standing epically next to each other, which isn't even a bad thing but it's very funny. it's pretty clear his cool oc is his cool oc, and that's fine

what's not fine is the fact that his Rromani-inspired main character is apparently generically incliined towards being a genius musician and stealing

another host reported that he witnessed an author meet and greet during which rothfuss, standing 20 feet above his fans at the top of a staircase, asked them not to record him, and then proceeded to talk shit about tolkien for like 20 minutes

this...very bizarre essay he wrote about the new hobbit movie, which he wrote 10 years ago in fairness but he never took down or apologized for. it's like...I can't describe it you'll just have to read it for yourself. this is deranged. this man is incapable of being normal about women. I'm pasting the most relevant part of it under the cut because I need everyone to share my pain. Be ready for a really creepy description of a teenage girl, hatred for sex workers, and unmitigated misogyny

It will be a good movie. Maybe even a great movie. But it will also be, at best, a moderately okay adaptation of the subtle, sweet book that I grew up loving.

You know that it’s going to be like? It’s going to be like wandering onto an internet porn site and seeing a video of a girl I had a crush on in high school. You probably knew someone like her. The smart girl. The shy girl. The one who wore glasses and was a little socially awkward. The one who screwed up the curve in chemistry so you got an A- instead of an A.

She was a geek girl before anybody knew what a geek girl was. And that was kinda awesome, because you were a geek boy before being a geek was culturally acceptable.

You liked her because she was funny. And she was smart. And you could actually talk to her. And she read books.

And sure, she was girl-shaped, and that was cool. And she was cute, in an understated, freckly way. And sometimes you’d stare at her breasts when you were supposed to be paying attention in biology. But you were 16. You stared at everyone’s breasts back then.

And yeah, you had some fantasies about her, because, again, you were 16. But they were fairly modest fantasies about making out in the back of a car. Maybe you’d get to second base. Maybe you could steal third if you were lucky.

And maybe, just maybe, something delightful and terrifying might happen. And yeah, it would probably be awkward and fumbling at times, but that’s okay because she’d be doing half the fumbling too. Because the only experience either one of you had was from books. And afterwards, if you make a Star Wars joke, you know she’ll get it, and she’ll laugh….

That’s the girl you fell in love with in high school. You didn’t have a crush on her because she was some simmering pool of molten sex. You loved her because she was subtle and sweet and smart and special.

So you stroll onto this porn site, and there she is. Except now she’s wearing a thong and a black leather halter top. She’s wearing fuck-me red lipstick and a lot of dark eye makeup. Her breasts are amazing now, proud and perfectly round.

Someone’s taught her to dance, and she does it well. She’s flexible and tan. She has a flat midriff and walks like a high-class Vegas stripper. Her eyes are dark and smouldering. She has a riding crop, and she likes to be tied up, and her too-red mouth forms a perfect circle as she sighs and moans, and tosses her head in a performance designed to win any number of academy awards….

And what’s the problem with this? Well… in some ways, nothing. What you’ve found is perfectly good porn. Maybe even great porn.

But in other ways the problem is blindingly obvious. This girl has nothing in common with your high-school crush except for her social security number. Everything you loved about her is gone.

We loved the sweet, shy, freckly girl. We still remember her name, and after all these years she lives close to our heart. Seeing her in lipstick and stiletto heels dancing on a pole is like watching Winnie the Pooh do heroin and then glass someone in a bar fight.

It just isn’t something that I look forward to seeing….

I’ll be one part entertained, two parts nostalgic, two parts irritated, three parts outraged, and one part oddly titillated.

it was easy to assume that you had been in your brothers’ shadows. techno, wilbur and tommy were talented, football players with great, great achievements. the only thing you wanted was a big change in your life, so when you graduated from the middle school and it came up to making a big decision on choosing high school, you chose the dsmp high – school located an hour away from your house.

you remember your first day at school. the day started awfully. tommy woke you up with a loud yell at – as you rightly guessed – wilbur, who stole his phone and texted to his crush. it turned out that you had twenty minutes left to get ready and leave for bus and not be late. well... you were late on the bus, but thankfully your dad promised he’ll drop you off at school.

phil couldn’t be more proud of you. for real, he knew how hard it was for you to choose different school from techno, wilbur and tommy (everyone know he’ll go after his brothers). you were miserable through your whole middle school, because no one ever noticed you as your own person, only as wilbur’s twin sister, techno’s younger sibling or the only sister of tommy. it cause you to slowly losing yourself and becoming a female version of your brothers. so when you spoke to him about the idea of the dsmp high, he couldn’t get happier.

fortunately, dad dropped you off fifteen minutes before your first period started. wandering around the new school, looking for people you had classes with. you looked at your phone and accidentally bumped into a tall, dirty blonde guy with painted nails and purple sweater.

“oh no- i’m so sorry!” he spoke kind of afraid he might hurt you. “you alright?” a worried ask left his mouth as he put a hand on your shoulder.

it turned out that his name is karl and you took same classes as him. well in fact the boy seemed to be pretty nice, chill and funny. you two were on your way to the biology class and jokes were in the air. you felt so delightful that you messaged wilbur and techno a small text saying you just made your first friend. as no one responded you hid your phone.

“don’t worry, bestie.” he beamed at you. “i’ll meet you with my other friends, if that’s okay. they’ll love you and you won’t have to worry about making ones!” karl whispered into your ear and you couldn’t hide a soft smile that formed on your face.

as he said, he did. it was your lunch pause so he led you to the cafeteria. the idea of sitting at the table with people you didn’t know was.. terrifying but at the same time, so exiting. you felt like your heart skipped a beat when a guy called dream showed up with his best friends george and sapnp.

he was so handsome that you couldn’t take your eyes off him. looking at him was just so pleasing that you were kinda mad that he was karl’s friend so you couldn’t really sigh over him. surprisingly, he turned out to be a nice guy as well. you expected dream to be a completely jerk and an arsehole, but well you started to feel like you’d fall for him.

well… you were right. you fell for clay so deeply that just being around him was… stressing you out. he always cared about you, through your whole freshman year he was so cute and it was hard not to fall.

sophomore year started in a very… unexpected way. you hadn’t seen your friends in weeks, because you have lived so far away, but it didn’t make your brand new friends group to fall apart. you wouldn’t be so surprised if they organized a meet after classes but… well it was a meet, but only with clay. in a shortcut – he took you on a date.

“i missed you so much, y/n/n” he smiled as he shyly took your hand and intertwined your fingers with his. a small, timid smile formed on your blushed face. “fuck… i like you, i have a huge ass crush on you, okay? i-i just don’t wanna mess up our friendship… so please tell me if you don’t feel same” clay spoke with shaking voice, not giving you a sight.

maybe it was the adrenaline that boosted you up, or your inner self just wanted to do it, but as his confession ended, your lips gentlt pressed his. clay was… well shocked is a good word, clay was shocked, but he pulled you in even closer and that’s how you ended up making out in the park.

you were thrilled to the gills and you almost told your brothers about clay. almost, because you heard techno’s talking about a match against the dsmp high. well it wouldn’t be such a big thing if you hadn’t heard dream, and well oh well. words weren’t too nice.

“hi… are you free?” you said softly, sitting on your bed. you were frightened – what if they don’t like each other? what if… wilbur and tommy also don’t like him? “you know techno, right? technoblade minecraft?” a quiet ask left your mouth as you sat under the tree in your yard.

“yes, unfortunately.” his response made you thought that you had annoyed him. “wait, why you’re asking? did he hurt you or something?” dream didn’t let you answer as he added i’m gon’ kill him under his breathe.

“noo, don’t worry” you clutched your head and sighed. “he’s… my brother, older brother, actually”. silence between you two were clearly killing you, but you couldn’t be one to break it. he had to say something.

“oh my fuck” you heard his shocked voice and chuckled in response. “it doesn’t matter. you’re the one i fell in love with, not he. i know you’re worried, but everything will be alright.”.

“i hope so” his laughter calmed you. “i’ll call you later so we can fall asleep on call okay? dinner’s ready”.

”it’s kinda forbidden love, isn’t it?” george laughed as he wrapped his arm around you with a cute smile. brown haired boy was waiting along with you at your whole friends’ group. “y’know… techno is your brother and also a rival of your boyfriend… it’s exciting”.

you almost gasped at his words. it felt so silly and people would probably find it meaningless, but you couldn’t hide a smile that appeared on your face. he didn’t say techno’s sister like everyone from the middle school would say, george said that he’s your brother.

“as long as i love her, nothing else really matters to me” clay’s voice was so sweet that you almost melted under it. he was right, there’s no reason to overthink – you love him and it’s the only thing that matters.

“yeah, you should definitely tell him that at the match on saturday.” oh my fucking god, a match. the elimination match between the dsmp high and the lmanburg high. you were completely between a rock and a hard place.

“fuck, i forgot about it.” wrapping his arms around your body, dream felt how stressed you began to get. he also felt when your body unwittingly started to shake. “he’ll hate me, so will wilbur and tommy.”

“aren’t they already hating you? like- you barely talk to them at home, so… what’s the problem?” sapnap asked shrugging. well, he was right – techno lost his interest in talking to you and unfortunately wilbur and tommy took their cue from him, and the only person you had talked to was your dad.

“you’re coming to our match, right?” karl asked with a nervous smile forming on his face. it was his first match ever on the team – you couldn’t not be there. “it doesn’t who will you cheer for, just be there, okay?”

“karl, of course i will be there” you smiled at him, trying to hide your increasing stress that almost made you pass out. “please win this, okay? it’d be too hard to look at your miserable faces.”

tommy had always been your favorite of them all. as a child he wouldn’t let you go and sometimes it was obviously burdensome, but you loved it. you loved how he cared and now you missed it. he wanted, but he couldn’t talk to you, techno and wilbur would be pissed if he did.

he wondered about telling you how well he made friends in high school along with tubbo. about all of the funny jokes he made. he just wanted to be a teenager that shares cool memories with his older sister, but for now his brothers were too proud to apologize.

“wil, are you sure we should do that?” he asked, uneasiness appearing on his pale face. he genuinely missed his big sister that always helped him with his homework, with choosing cool outfits to impress girls, helped him, when he argued with tubbo. “she looks so miserable. even dad is worried!”

“we have nothing to do with her miserableness. she left us first. now, she can go and fuck herself” wilbur had never acted lke that before, so surprised tommy just frowned at him and shook his head in hopelessness. something was off and he would like to know what. to repair it.

his stomach rambled and it was time for a snack. tommy was about to came in, but he heard a bit of a conversation between philza and his only daughter.

“yeah, they do kinda hate me” she shrugged, not letting her tears fall. “uhm… clay proposed that i could stay at his. you know, dad. until… they start talking to me again.” long sigh left her mouth as she clutched her head in hands, right before he noticed tears. tommy couldn’t do more, so he got back to his room not letting anyone in later that evening.

it’d be a lie if someone said that tommy wasn’t stressed out. his first game was in a few minutes and his sister was nowhere to be found. “she has better things to do, i disappointed her - i shouldn’t be so shocked.”

when he saw her, he felt relieved. she was there to support him in his first game in high school ever, but as he watched her, slowly drifting away, looking for someone different in the crowd of people, he was hurt.

“i can’t believe you really choose to avoid the affection from dream for today, because your brothers are here. you should fuck them three” sapnap laughed, looking over your shoulder at tommy. “two. he looks hurt as well as you.” you know he was, but he didn’t do anything because the pressure techno and wilbur put on him, was killing him inside.

“y/n you came!” karl cried out, running towards you and sapnap. he hugged you tight and smiled softly, giggling noiselessly. “did y/n’s brothers saw it? i was literally her ride.”

“excuse me, you did that on purpose?” george laughed, shaking his head in disbelief. you joined him, but you stopped when you saw tommy’s upset, frightened face. it wasn’t only karl’s first game – it was tommy’s as well.

“i gotta talk to him” you sighed exhausted of the whole drama around you and your brothers. or just around you, wilbur and techno. your little brother had nothing to do with it. “tommy, hi” you started a bit nervous, feeling the tension betweet you two. and firstly, you thought he will just go away, but you gasped as he hugged you tight.

“i missed you so much” he whispered so anyone could hear but you. soft smile showed up on his face, making it way more brighter. “thanks for coming here, i know it’s rought between you and wil. he’s kinda mad but everything will be fine, i know that.” you wrapped arms around his torso and smiled widely.

“you’ve got this, okay tommy?” you brushed his hair. in response you got a growl and loud laugh after. “if you win or if you lose, it doesn’t matter, because i will still love you, but i’ve gotta go back to my friends.” you beamed and left tommy as soon as you saw wilbur storming towards you.

you felt like melting, when dream looked at you with his happy, excited face. you were so proud of him – he was the captain of the school football team and it was known that he has a sport scholarship. despite your brothers’ presence, you planned to show clay some support and you painted a medium #21 on your black, denim jacket.

clay: can’t wait to see you on my bed, right next to the trophy i’ll get as a captain.

he hadn’t lie. you sat on his messy bed, in his messy bedroom, talking to his younger sister drista. she was adorably bewitching. she was a bit younger than tommy, but thankfully she wasn’t as loud as him. you laughed after hearing her awful joke.

“so… you’re living here by now?” she asked curiously, frowning. her eyes scanning your, now, blushed face, waiting on the answer. “please, i cannot stand his my-girlfriend-lives-so-far-and-i-can’t-sneak-into-her-room-and-kiss.” she rolled her eyes, but smile widely.

“oh, yeah.” you blushed even harder as she laughed at your already blushed face. “i’m just worried if he’s okay with us hiding, you know? i mean– he could be with someone else, someone… someone better.”

drista didn’t know what to say and you knew she didn’t have to. you were scared – because of your situation that had place in middle school – he will just leave your for someone better, someone prettier, smarter, cuter.

unfortunately for you, clay had heard your every single word. he coughed, letting drista know that she should go. girl smiled at you before leaving you two alone. him, standing in front of you with only his sweatpants on. “y/n” he started as he got closer.

“i- i- can not tell i know how you feel or how you should feel. and-and i genuinely do not care about anyone else but you. i love you, okay dumbass?” he sat as close as possible and beamed softly.

“you won’t replace me?” the whole thing between you and clay was terrifying you so much. is he lying about his feelings? is he really in love with you? or maybe you’re just a bet? you almost shook your head as the thoughts began to overwhelm you.

he wouldn’t do that. and if he would, some of his friends (yours as well) would kill him. you couldn’t be more happier at the moment. your boyfriend had just told you that he loves you for the very first time, you made amazing friends that would kill for you and vice versa, but there was one thing you had to fix. the relationship with techno and wilbur.

“i could never replace you, love”.

“you sure you wanna do it?” clay asked, gently rubbing your thigh with his thumb, sitting in the front seat of his car. you were about to tell your whole family that clay dream is your boyfriend. the guy your older brother claimed to hate. lots of fun, right?

you nodded unsure, getting out of the car. it was your first time seeing your brothers in over a month and – boy, oh boy – you were terrified. did they miss you? did they even notice you were gone? you wished they did. you weren’t even able to ring the doorbell, because tommy opened the door with a huge grin.

“i’ve been waiting for you.” he confessed, closing you in a tight hug. he let you off as soon as he noticed smiled dream standing right behind you. “and who are you, mister?” suspicious question left tommy’s mouth.

“i’m y/n’s boyfriend, clay” dream beamed at tommy as he let you in. shock finding their way onto his face was… quite hilarious. he mumbled something under his breathe, but you couldn’t catch it.

as soon as you got onto the dining room, you saw wilbur, techno and dad setting the table. tommy coughed, couldn’t hide his happiness. his sister is back and he can’t let her go ever again.

“hi…” you started, your voice getting shaky. “i wanted to explain some things and it’d be a pleasure if you would accept my new boyfriend, especially technoblade.” dream took your sweaty with nervousness hand to calm you. he knew it was tough for you, knowing that him and techno are rivals. “this is clay and i know you know him, and you’re not on the good terms, but please just… finally talk to me, because i miss both of you and i’d love to have either my brothers and boyfriend close as possible.” you finished glancing at techno and wilbur.

“y/n, i’m just sad you didn’t want to go to same school with me. you had never told me why, we were inseparable and everything changed within days.” wilbur was first to answer you. his dejected voice made you crying. you missed him, his voice, his advices, his presence around you. “everytime i woke up, you were already running on the bus and we didn’t have a chance to talk.”

“i- you- you’re right. i should’ve told you why did i choose the dsmp high. i did, because i began to lose myself, everyone saw me only as your sister and i started to think that i do not matter anymore. i had to change it and i had to show everyone that i’m not just yours and techno’s sister, but i’m my own persona.” wil stood up and got closer to you. your tears convinced him that you weren’t lying and he felt bad that he didn’t realize it sooner. “i’m so sorry”.

“no- no, i’m also sorry. i’m the one that should apologizing. you were just choosing your own path and i was mad at you, because of that. ‘m sorry y/n/n.” you smiled through tears and hugged him as tight as you only could.

“there’s no much drama between us” techno chuckled quietly, watching you and wilbur cuddling. “i already knew what’s going on between you two at the match. i just took wil’s side.” he shrugged and you laughed, shaking your head in disbelief. “well, it doesn’t mean i like you” he claimed glaring at your boyfriend. “i can tolerate you as long as you’ll treat y/n the best you can, otherwise i’ll kill you”.

“i agree and so does tommy” your twin added, looking dream dead in the eyes.

“maybe we’ll stop the death threats here and start eating?” your dad proposed with a cheerful smile. his kids were finally getting along again, he couldn’t be more proud or happier than at the moment.

“it went so well” you whispered delighted. you were snuggling with dream on your bed, some time after the dinner ended. phil suggested that he could stay for the night, so they can get to know him better.

tommy was thrilled to the bones about the fact that now, he has a new friend, older than him, and also a captain of the football team, so he could teach him how to play better. wil was… well wil. he made sure that dream didn’t have any wrong intentions and techno just couldn’t care less if you were happy with him. he even suggested that they should bury the hatchet and move on.

“i haven’t said that to anyone yet, but i love you” you said, almost skipping a bit when he held your head and gently kissed you.

“well, you already know that i’m head over heels in love with you. and it won’t ever change” he said and kissed you one more time.

Those days I have been thinking, do you think that Sheldon Lee from MLaaTR is misogynistic, sexist or chauvinistic? No hate towards him, he is one of my favorite characters but I was just wondering if he is.

I ended up ranting so uh. I'm putting them under the cut. Keep in mind that it isn't targetted on you! I appreciate that you recognize his flaws and all, I just become rly expressive at these things ; w ;

Honestly? I think he's neither of those. Instead, he's just a teenager with a big fat crush and has the tendency to deal with it in a very stalker-ish, unhealthy, and problematic way.

It's understandable to mistake him as misogynistic, sexist, or chauvinistic when looking into some of his actions because those were really extreme and all kinds of wrong. (example: stealing Jenny's blueprints to find out how to "get to her heart") BUT if you actually paid attention to his character and behavior in the show, you'd notice that he's not misogynistic, nor is he sexist or chauvinistic. He didn't steal those prints because he thinks Jenny is inferior to him. Neither did he do it to "put her in her place". He just wanted to figure out how "get to her heart" (<- his exact words)

Because that's the thing: He's in love with Jenny just the way she is.

He puts her on a pedestal and knows just how great she is. He's just hoping really desperately that she'd feel the same, to the point he did those problematic things I wish the writers should've not written in.

With that being said, is he a creep? yes. Is he a stalker? yeah. Is he a misogynist? no. Is he a sexist or a chauvinist? if he was, he would've been an asshole and demanding to girls now, wouldn't he? But NAH!! Sheldon didn't show any distaste or hatred towards girls or women. We literally see a GIRL amongst the bullies tormenting him in his first appearance.

As I quote from his words upon reacting to Jenny: "you're like captain crush, but only better"

this isn't a "oh you're a girl, a perfect wife for me" it is "you're awesome like captain crush. But you're also a girl! that's so cool it's making me have feelings for you"

He's a nerd that can recognize a girl's worth

"Oh yeah? if he does, then what's with that episode of paying one of the bully girls to date him to make Jenny jealous?"

Like what you said: he paid her to do his crappy bidding. There was something in it for her. Had she said no, I'm pretty sure he'd leave her alone and find some other girl who's willing. Please remember that this entire thing is an act done out of desperation (which had always been his motive to do his problematic actions to win Jenny). Had Sheldon been a misogynist/sexist/chauvinist, he would have done this in the earlier episodes AND had asserted what he wanted to do with the girl (whether she wanted to or not). He also wouldn't have done this to get Jenny's attention if this were the case.

"How about that time he fantasized about Q.T.2- "

Jenny had a nightmare of the same thing where she's an exhausted housewife too. That's not exclusively a Sheldon thing. And come on: Let's be real.

There are so many "A young couple in love turned into an unwanted marriage where the girl becomes the begrudging pregnant housewife while the guy becomes the neglectful wife-hating husband that does nothing but read the newspaper" jokes done in the 2000's, MLAATR isn't excluded to this. I don't know why the MLAATR crew keeps putting them in the show. Maybe it's to be satire, or it's to mock the false perception of romance, or perhaps because they think it's funny (it rly isn't ://). It doesn't change the fact it's a joke made in bad taste.

There's a lot more he's done or had experienced which are dumb or unpleasant, but I won't get into them. Because I don't think Sheldon's behavior and character in the show is the main factor in mistaking his personality.

if anything, I think the real reason as to why it's easy to mistake him as misogynistic/sexist/chauvinistic is because of how the majority of the community and (ESPECIALLY) the show treats him. Never mind that he made Jenny uncomfortable by stalking her. Nevermind that he did really cruddy things that could be reported to the authorities, he's our lovable nerd 🥰

It's an issue I think is still present with fictional characters today (take note: Marinette Dupain-Cheng). Wherein a very dangerous trait is often ignored because of the dorky charisma the character has. It's funny in shows or fiction, but it's not pleasant in real life. Would you want to be stalked by a "lovable" teenager who has a tendency to take your things for their own benefit? don't think so..

I can somewhat forgive the show though. Because even if they treat Sheldon this way, at least it also punishes him harshly for his awful actions. Regardless if Sheldon DID realize his mistake, apologize for it or not.

While it's important to take note of a character's awful behavior or portrayal of their behavior, I think it's also important to realize just what the character in their entirety. Yeah, Sheldon did those bad things, but that's not the only thing he did. There are moments when he truly felt guilty in his bad decisions and admitted to it, and there are even moments when he didn't react like a creep to Jenny. A notable episode of this is the fashion episode, wherein the whole time he had been what I think is what he truly is: a sweet, dorky nerd with a big fat crush.

....Ok so um... what to take out of this?

I'll repeat this: Sheldon's neither a misogynist, sexist, or chauvinistic

He's in love but got some unhealthy tendencies when dealing with it, most likely because he's socially inept or because he never got attention before and is afraid of losing it.

He doesn't immediately recognize his actions are unacceptable until it gets too far.

He's not a truly bad character though. He's proven in other episodes that he genuinely likes Jenny and has the potential to grow out of his creepiness

People are allowed to hate on a character, but they need to recognize when a character is really a misogynist/sexist/chauvinist or just a teenager that makes really, really, really s/tty decisions (because the writer/s makes them do it)

I have So Many Thoughts about him and none of them are coherent let's go

favorite thing about them: Moral ambiguity in a main protagonist is always very cool and epic. I like that he's so thoroughly a combination of his dads, like he's a gentleman who aspires to make his country safer for kids, but he also. Y'know. Murders people a lot and doesn't bat an eye if it's for a greater cause. Very Machiavellian for a 15 year old lol. He's also just super weird and I really like that. My boy literally went to meet with Polpo and was like "yeah my only skill is I can put my entire ear into my head. watch this" and then proceeded to kill him. "Ohhh instead of stealing one car, I'm gonna ruin a hundred peoples' days by turning all these cars into frogs." "Yeah I'm gonna drive the car into a large body of water to escape an enemy who turns everything into ice. This is a good and sound decision." Literally impeccable

least favorite thing about them: Okay so maybe this will come as a surprise. But based on Vento Aureo alone, he is my least favorite JoJo by far. I found him really boring and overshadowed by the rest of the cast, mainly because he rarely had a real struggle. Like, in nearly every fight, I had no doubts that Giorno was going to sweep in and kill the enemy easily. Everyone in the main cast was constantly singing his praises except for Abbacchio, and even his disdain was clearly out of his own insecurities rather than actually disliking him. And like, even by JJBA standards, he just seemed a liiiittle too overpowered in general without much to balance it out. I think it's cool that he's essentially a catalyst for everyone else's lives to get overturned and for them to change as people, but at times, he really seemed like no more than a narrative device. It wasn't until I read PHF and started writing my own Vento Aureo fics that I started liking him and developing him as a character in my brain and now I can't stop thinking about him help

favorite line: Everything he says in the Solider in Love chapter in PHF. Holy shit. Everything from the stupid chicken rant to the "half a step" speech is just so interesting, and (to me at least) it all feels so deliberate characterization-wise. Like, Giorno in the PHF-verse is kind of a terrible person at times, and a lot of it has to do with him being so closed-off from everyone as a coping mechanism, but him being just like. A little silly and awkward with Fugo by complaining about chicken (and then proceeding to stuff his face with it, which is also just supremely funny), and admitting that he's grieving too, and offering to share in that grief with him, essentially prompting both of them to turn a new leaf together, etc etc I love it so much.

brOTP: Him and Mista. I love their platonic dynamic so much, even in canon/PHF timeline where they have a falling out, because that dynamic is still super super interesting to me. Just. Mista taking him under his wing and becoming the first genuine friend Giorno's ever had, Giorno looking up to him for guidance because, even though he's hyper-competent and definitely has his shit together more than Mista does, he's still an awkward teenage boy who's never really had any kind of social outlet, and he thinks Mista is cool in the way a kid thinks their older sibling is. Giorno goes to him for advice on talking to his crush and making new friends, and Mista takes him out to do silly teenager things he never got to try, and idk. Their friendship is so fun. And when shit goes down in canon and Mista hates him, I still think that a part of Giorno still looks up to him, and one of his biggest regrets is how he treated Mista because of his own inclinations to push away any potential bonds in the fear of being abandoned. Anyhow

OTP: Fugio!! Talked about them a lot already on my Fugo post, but. Man. From Giorno's end, I like to think that his feelings sort of stemmed from Fugo completely overturning his whole worldview just by existing. Like, Giorno has gone his whole life believing that suppressing emotions makes him strong and will keep him safe, and then in walks Hyper-Emotional Pannacotta Fugo and his Feelings-Based Killing Machine and he's like. What the fuck. How does he just. What. And cue Giorno Giovanna's extreme distress over this walking contradiction who can feel things and gains power through emotions and has just torn everything he believed to shreds and now he won't leave his brain what is happening??? (It's okay he just has a crush but he's really dramatic about it.) Also Fugo is a massive simp but Giorno is, too, he's just more subtle about it. 1000% he writes melodramatic love poems for him and decorates them with pressed flowers and sprays them with perfume and the whole time he's like. "Love my pathetic emo bf so very very much :) <333"

nOTP: Uhhh Giomis and that's all I'm gonna say on the matter. Also stuff like Brugio/Abbagio/whatever obviously.

random headcanon: When he was a kid, his mom and stepdad sort of left him to fend for himself, so he got really good at making like. Kraft mac and cheese and kid cuisines. On the other hand, he can't cook a meal from scratch to save his life. He has like no idea how the individual ingredients work, so, if left to his own devices, he just makes horrible 50s housewife jello salad type meals. He's definitely tried making alfredo sauce with melted ice cream because "ice cream is just frozen cream, isn't it? By that logic, I can melt it, and it should work." It did not. He was banned from cooking in the Bucci Gang house after that.

unpopular opinion: The fandom does him dirty just as much as Kakyoin. Seriously, I know I'm not the best Giorno writer either, but some of the stuff I've seen on AO3 is just. Yeah. Stop writing him as a sex object please thanks <3
