Headcanons for Tamaki, Bakugou and Eraserhead being in a relationship with dom! black reader
a/n: hi guys, I’m so happy and so grateful for all the follows and notes you guys have given me over the past few days💜. I’m working on a part 2 of ‘Party for One’ but here’s some headcannons I made for the meantime.
Amajiki Tamaki
Tamaki has always been more submissive in general. He tended to be a pushover at times which makes it easier for people to mess with him, which makes his anxiousness skyrocket at times.
That was until he met you. You became friends with him after he graduated high school, fresh faced and promoted at his hero agency. You caught his eye the first day he came to work at his new office and stuck with him finding his shyness adorable but also helping him improve in his confidence.
He was entranced by your beauty, the way your tiny afro smelled like (favourite scent) when you walked by him, your lovely voice greeting him every morning, the way your vibrant melanin-filled skin contrasts with his paleness; your constant presence made him develop a crush on you but he never had the confidence to tell you to your face.
You of course weren’t aware of his little crush and his jumpiness and nervousness with you because you thought it was just his normal anxiety. It wasn’t until you overheard him talking to his friend and co-worker, Fatgum that you realized what it really was.
After that you actively sought out Tamaki just to see him be so flustered by your presence 😏 but after a while you had pity on the poor boy and asked him out for coffee and it all went uphill from there.
Loves buying you flowers and dropping them at your desk before you come into work every morning. Seeing your face light up as you read the little notes he leaves you makes the butterflies in his stomach flutter. He just loves seeing you smile in general this man is so whipped😩
He asked you to move in together after the first 4 months of dating and although you disagreed at the time, after your 6 months anniversary and him basically pleading about it every 5 mins, you finally gave in cause how could you say no to that face🥺
Tumblr media
NSFW below
As soon as you officially moved in with him, Tamaki before more affectionate... way more affectionate. Cuddles, kisses, squeezes; everything he could to show you how physically attracted he was to you.
The topic of sex comes up one day when you’re both on the couch, you on his lap and him trailing kisses down your neck. You’ve never gone past steamy make out sessions with eachother but it was clear that you both were very much ready to take the next step
Despite his shy demeanor, Tamaki is way more confident as well as loud in the bedroom. Loud whimpers as you trail your nails down his abs which turn into loud moans as you free his cock from his briefs giving him the best handjobs he’s ever gotten.
Tamaki sometimes does feel insecure about your relationship and about you having to have asked him out first, so he tends to overcompensate in the bedroom. This man is a huge power top. He loves making you feel good, he loves you telling him what to do and will do anything you ask with no hesitation.
Could eat you out for breakfast everyday if he could and definitely incorporates his quirk into it👀. Loves when you trap his head between your thighs it makes him feel warm. He loves when you tie him to the bed and edge him for hours on end while kissing his pretty tears away. He gets off on being vulnerable with you like that and has the most mind blowing orgasms once you decide to take pity on him.
Loves when you sit in his lap and let him suckle on your nipples while caressing his hair. Soft moments like that are what make him fall in love with you even more. Pegging also makes him fall in love with you even more, but more in a sexual manner. Looks at you like a goddess whenever you have his legs spread out, driving your strap-on into him so hard it makes his eyes cross.
Aftercare is so soft and private with you two. Untying his limbs from the bed, putting ointment and kisses on his bruises, cleaning him up with a wet rag and finally laying next to him on the bed, his face in your chest as you whisper praises and sweet nothings into his hair. God he was going to marry you one day.
Bakugou Katsuki
 Bakugou met you while in U.A High but didn’t start dating you until almost 3 years after graduation You had never interacted that much in high school as you always saw him as the immature, rash and not considerate of others feelings
  He gave off an air of someone commanding and who would never submit and you had never really cared for such men; the macho ‘call-me-daddy’ type men he actually did jokingly tell you to once when you guys were arguing which just made you steer clear of him more, angering him further.
 After graduating, Bakugou became more mature, choosing to develop himself into a better person than he was in high school, and became the no 2 hero of Japan, creating his own hero agency. You started working at his agency 2 years after graduation, you also steadily climbing the ranks of the hero world landing in the top ten heroes list. He began harbouring a crush on you soon after, looking for ways to finally confess to you but were still adamant on avoiding him, still believing him to be the same immature boy that he was in highschool.
  One day, Bakugou couldn’t take it anymore and cornered you in a hallway, confessing quickly while a light blush was dusted on his cheeks. He also apologized for the way he acted in highschool and basically pleaded to go on a date with you although he’ll never admit it lol
   After his confession, you both started hanging out more both at work and outside of work. He officially asked you to be his girlfriend after the third date when he came to your apartment to cook your favourite dish for you after a grueling day at work and you happily agreed as long as he promised to continue cooking for you which led to you two moving in together a year later.
  Dating the number 2 hero in Japan was not easy to say the least. Late night and early mornings plagued both of your lives, sometimes not being able to catch eachother at home at the same time for weeks on end. This led to arguments that turned into silent treatments until you both came to your senses and apologized to one another. He hates fighting with you, fearing you’ll leave him due to his occasional outbursts.
  When you guys do fight, he apologizes through gift giving and cuddles, since he’s not very good with words. Loves buying you brightly coloured clothes and jewelry that matches your skin tone because you look ethereal to him in them. Sometimes steals glances at you just to admire your skin and whatever protective style you’re wearing.

   You and Bakugou had a long talk before you both started getting intimate. Although he was more mature, he still didn’t want to be submissive in the bedroom as he thought it would make him less ‘masculine’. He kept refusing until you managed to wear him down one day, him grumbling about how stupid it would be.
  Oh how wrong he was because this man thrives off of your dominance now. A bratty power bottom, he loves making you put him in his place, which is always under you. Something about you having the confidence to ‘dominate’ the number 2 hero in Japan makes him melt. Is very much into cock and ball torture and just humiliation and degradation in general. Loves seeing you in leather cause it gives you that dominatrix look that makes him whimper
  Very teary eyed when getting pegged and loves when you grab his hair to pull him back and lick his tears away. But at the same time, loves when you mercilessly keep pounding into him despite his tears, choking back a sob as he orgasms for the umpteenth time.
  Is the type of sub that looks like a dom out in public but has a vibrating buttplug inside him during meetings as he glances to you as you smirk and turn up the intensity every few seconds.
  The biggest brat ever omg he will rile you up on purpose just so that you can punish him by locking him in a chastisy cage and riding his favourite strap on you put on him, all while denying him the pleasure of touching you. That’s when he begs the most, mind dumb and babbling nonsense until you finally let his pretty little cock out.
  Aftercare is in equal parts for both of you as sometimes you get dom drop after long sessions. He knows that it can make you feel guilty o sometimes regretful and makes sure to tell you how much he loves you after every session. You also reassure him that he is more than enough for you, limbs tangled together in bed as you doze off next to him.
   His lips curl into a little smile as he falls asleep as well, thinking of you and the engagement ring he’s yet to give you in his bedside drawer.
Shota Aizawa
 Aizawa had never actively looked for people to date. He felt like he had too much on his plate already with class 1-A and didn’t think anyone would be willing to date someone whose life was so hectic. So when you joined U.A as a new teacher in class in class 1-B, he didn’t bat an eye only glancing at you at times as you pass the hallway.
 Glances turned into stares which turned into thinking about you and how your mini twists framed your face so perfectly and how soft your skin looked and how your darks eyes drew him in and-
 Fuck
  Ok so maybe he did have space on his plate for dating cause duh look at you.  He asked you out by whispering in your ear during homeroom one day as he dropped off a stack of papers on your desk. You were taken aback by his boldness but accepted nonetheless. You didn’t know it, but Aizawa had fallen for you long before he got the balls to ask you out😏
 You dated for 3 years and lived together after 2 until you walked into the kitchen one morning and saw him on one knee, flowers petals everywhere and a small smile as he asks “Marry me?” You didn’t know whether to laugh or cry oh to be proposed to by Shota Aizawa😭
 He loves referring to you as his wife and loves when you come to 1-A to give him his bento box, even though he acts like he hates it. Let’s you in his sleeping bag for a nap in the break room, even though Present Mic comes in to annoy both of you most of the time.
 Melts when he sees you interacting with the kids in 1-A, even heard Deku slip up and call you mom once when you came to his class to greet him.
Tumblr media
 Nsfw below
 Speaking of kids guess who has a big fat breeding kink. Even though you both know you’re not exactly prepared to have kids at the moment, the risk that comes with him making love to you raw turns him on. You definitely exploit his kink by telling degrading him, saying how he doesn’t deserve to cum inside you with his useless cock and that just makes him want to prove you wrong, rutting into you faster as he whimpers about making you feel good.
  Loves when you take him from behind and bend him on a surface and fucking him like a little whore, scarf stuffed into his mouth as a make-shift gag when he gets too loud. Especially when you do it on one of the desks in his classroom after hours, the embarrassment of a seeing a student sitting on it the next day making his brain fog and his cum leak out, painting the floor and the desk white as he spasms in your hold, tongue lolling out as you press him to the floor to clean up his mess.
  Is into somnophilia and has woken up many times to you bouncing on his cock, refusing to let him cum until you’re satisfied with the amount of orgasms he’s given you.
 Has definitely sniffed your panties before, even pocketing them into his dress pants and taking them to work with him, all so he can use them to fist his cock in the staff restrooms, panting like a dog in heat as sobs your name into his hand, secretly wanting to get caught by you.
 He loves your aftercare so much. Running baths for both of you, kissing the hickeys and scratches you left on him and letting him lay in your arms when his body gives out. Genuinely loves pushing past his limits with you because he knows he trusts you.
  Definitely the best husband and the best lover ever 10/10 would recommend.

51. “I can’t help the fact that I’m so goddamn moody all the freaking time” | jjk x reader ft yoongi | word count: 2k
The castle was eerily quiet.
Most days it would be loud with the sound of footsteps and the banging of mugs hitting wood tables followed by the clanking of cutlery. However today, no one seemed to want to make a peep; they were as quiet as a mouse. Unlike everyone else who found the lack of noise peculiar, Yoongi enjoyed it - reveled in it, flourished in it even. Nothing made him happier than being able to sit and enjoy his daily morning, afternoon and evening naps and it made studying all the damn protection spells Jungkook wanted for the castle a hell of a lot easier. But there was one thing that threatened his new paradise, a looming cloud over his glorious fantasy, the grey cloud that he called Jeon Jungkook.
Now Jungkook was never one to be in an especially chipper mood, at least not around most people that is (you on the other hand, seemed to be a completely different story). Yoongi distinctly remembers seeing baby pictures of the lad when he was just a baby with a scowl etched permanently on his face under bushy dark brows. He often found it comical. Here was this lumbering idiot, with a silver spoon practically being shoved in his mouth, the glorious savior of the kingdom, but he was walking around as if his favorite horse had died (which it hadn’t, he checked). It was really starting to get on his nerves.
“Kid, you’ve gotta stop scaring the men. I swore I saw one of them shit themselves the other day.” Yoongi said from beside Jungkook. Currently they sat side by side in the great hall, feasting on bowls of hearty beef stew, the kind with giant chunks of meat and half haphazardly chopped vegetables covered in a thick and glorious gravy. Hmm my favorite Yoongi hummed to himself, eyes slipping shut as he drank up the delicious broth with a loud slurping sound. His spoon made a loud clanging sound against his bowl when he dropped it back down, wiping his mouth to shift his gaze back over to the scowling man to his left. “You know if I were you I would be jumping for joy. You’re filthy fucking rich, whats to be sad about huh?”
Jungkook didn’t even let out his usual grunt in response, opting to continue swirling his spoon around in his stew while glaring down at it as if it had wronged him in some way. But the sudden sound of one the knights from across the hall laughing had him snapping his head up to send a growl over to the group of men which had them instantly silencing themselves, ducking down to continue silently eating their food. Yoongi watched the exchange with amusement, “Yeah you definitely need to get laid.”
Jungkook raised his hand to swing at him to which Yoongi merely stopped with a spell, not even bothering to look at him while he took another spoonful of his food. He knew Jungkook would never try to purposefully hurt him if he knew Yoongi couldn’t protect himself, so this was just considered normal playful banter between the two men. “That’s enough, Yoongi.” He mumbled angrily, dropping his fist to bang against the table. The noise gained the attention of everyone in the dining hall, but none of them dared to turn their heads to look at the commotion, afraid the Duke would redirect his anger towards them. “I can’t help the fact that I’m so goddamn moody all the freaking time.”
“Yeah yeah yeah, you know, that's what tends to happen when you don’t get any for a while.” Yoongi sighed and leaned his hand against his hand, gazing pitifully at Jungkook. He noticed the slight twinge of confusion on Jungkooks face and decided to reiterate himself, “It’s called blue balls idiot.”
Jungkook nearly choked on his spit. Yoongi was never one to mince words and this time was no different, but still his blunt words caught him off guard. “Would you keep it down!” Jungkook seethed, whipping his head around to see if anyone had overheard the topic of their conversation. It’s not like he was scared of anyone mocking him (everyone knew better than that) but still, he didn’t need the whole castle knowing that him and his wife still hadn’t had sex yet since he’d been back.
Yes, you heard him correctly. Jungkook had been back for almost three months and you and him still hadn’t even so much as touched each other intimately. Sure they had a few passionate kisses and lust filled embraces here and there which had left your neck bruised with hickies, but outside of that, neither of you had even dared roaming a hand south of the border. He didn’t know why he hadn’t tried it, perhaps it was because he wanted to make sure you were ready this time, instead of forcing himself on you like last time. He wanted to be positive that you enjoyed yourself as much as he did, wanted to bring you to new heights that made you absolutely euphoric. But until you were comfortable with him enough to let him do so, he would stick to his hand and the dirty images that he had conjured up in his head.
“I know what blue balls are, Yoongi. But I’m perfectly fine with how mine and y/n’s relationship is going.” he mumbled, glaring at the sorcerer. “And I don’t need you meddling in my love life so why don’t you just go and frolic with that stable boy like you do and leave me be.”
Yoongi let out a noise of disagreement, throwing his hands up in annoyance, “How many times do I have to tell you, me and hoseok are not frolicking or whatever the hell you’re into-” Jungkooks foot kicked his leg under the table causing him to let out a hiss but nonetheless he continued, “You can’t keep waiting for her to make the first move. Y/n is a lady and a lady from Aster at that. Those chicks never make the first move.”
Jungkook grumbled and pushed his bowl away from him then sipped at his ale in contemplation. Perhaps Yoongi was right, maybe it was time for him to make the first move. “But how can I make sure she’s ready? What if I fuck up like last time?” he questioned, not bothering to hide the genuine concern in his voice.
The sorcerer just sighed, patting Jungkook on the shoulder, “Trust me, kid. If you fucked up, she wouldn’t still be here. And judging by the noises I heard last time, I’m pretty sure she enjoyed herself.” yoongi shuddered. No more late night walks through the hall he promised himself. “Just try to do something nice for her this time. Don’t just throw her around, take it easy. Try and lighten the mood, understand?”
Jungkook was quiet for a second, the gears turning in his head. When he finally seemed to come to a conclusion, he grunted and nodded his head. The corner of Yoongi's lips tilted up in a satisfied smile and he clapped the man on the shoulder, “Thatta boy!”
Immediately after dinner, Jungkook went to the kitchen to request the finest meats, cheeses and artfully crafted desserts they had along with the sweetest wine the chef could find. The kitchen staff were practically shaken in their boots when the Duke had first walked into the room, afraid they had done something to mess up his dinner. But when they saw how shy yet dedicated the man seemed to be (despite how much he had tried to hide it) they were more than happy to help him, promising him that they would do their best. Jungkook gave them a monotonous thanks and had practically run out the room, up the steps and to the bed chamber. He had a lot to do in a short amount of time.
“I am pooped!” You groaned, complaining to Seokjin about how much work you had done today while walking through the hard stone halls of the castle. You had spent most of today working in the library, learning and going over the finances with Seokjin so you could finally start taking on more of your ‘wifely duties’ and relieving him of some of the burden. “I’m still not sure how the conversion from pences to shillings works. Or is it shillings to pences? Ah, oh well.”
Seokjin merely rolled his eyes as he walked beside you, hands clasped behind his back in his usual gentlemanly fashion. “Yes my lady you did work very hard today. I do believe it is time for you to get a good night's rest so we can start again in the morning.” You whined at his words, stopping as you finally reached the door of your bed chambers. Seokjn just let out a small chuckle at your over the top theatrics, “Have a goodnight Y/n.”
You had returned his well wishes, sending him a beaming smile and wave as he walked back down the hallway. Once he was out of sight you turned back towards the door hand reaching out to grasp the knob. But before you got a chance to even touch the brass door handle, the mahogany swung open in front of you, your tall husband's looming figure instantly coming into sight. “Oh hello!” you greeted, surprised by the fact that he seemed to be waiting for your arrival.
Jungkook just stared at you, is he blushing? You asked yourself. The man didn’t say anything, just stepped out of the way and gestured for you to enter. You thought the whole exchange was weird and cautiously stepped around him, not expecting the sight that awaited you.
You let out a gasp, hand flying up to cover your mouth in shock as you surveyed the room. Almost every inch of the place was covered in the most beautiful and fragrant rose petals, the room lit up from the fireplace he had going across the room. Delicious food and desserts covered the tables so much of it that you had no idea how he expected you to finish it all. “Jungkook, what is all this?” you said, whipping around to look at him as he continued to stand by the entrance, stiff as a board.
He ducked his head, hands coming up to fidget as he nervously looked around the room. “Do you like it?” he asked, finally daring to meet your gaze. “I had Yoongi help me. He said you might like all this...or whatever.”
Your irises were practically lit up with admiration, eyes shining with pure undulated joy. You couldn’t believe he had done all of this for you. “Of course I like it! I mean- I love it! But what did I do to deserve this?”
Jungkook just furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, finally crossing the room to cradle your cheek and stare into your eyes affectionately. “What do you mean deserve this? I love you, y/n. I would give you the whole world if I could.”
His words had your eyes tearing up and you brought a hand up to gently hold the one he had placed on your cheek. Your head turned, placing a peck against the calloused skin of his palm as you returned his gaze, letting your eyes show just how thankful you were. “Jungkook...I love you too.” you whispered, watching as his face seemed to light up with your confession.
The rest of the night was spent dining on the luxurious food the kitchen had prepared, mouths full as you whispered sweet nothings to each other and spilled all of your darkest secrets and happiest moments. And despite the fact that the two of you still hadn’t managed to find your way to the bed or explored the rest of each other's bodies that had laid untouched by one another for quite some time, Jungkook couldn’t find himself to care. He was happy enough to be here at this moment, with you.

~~~~~~
"You..!"
A deep, threatening and rough voice bounced against the walls of the passages.
Not much further ahead was a woman, pushing a man of what looked like a high status to the side. She was running like a madwoman, fleeing from what people would think; the devil.
That woman is you. Yes you; surprising, isn't it?
What did you do to get yourself ending up in this peculiar predicament, you probably wonder?
Well then, no need to look further nor to scroll down to nitpick every sentence in this story to make even the slightest sense of what's going on in this world of chaos. It shall all be explained right here and now!
If you didn't care nor wonder what, how, and why this all happened, then too bad! You have no power over this story! Haha, take that!
Ahem, anyway...It all happened at a feast around midnight before all this chaos came to be.
*(*)*(*)*
Fili and Kili dragged you with them. The blonde prince led the way as the younger brother pulled you with them.
They had been spouting stuff about "the greatest idea ever." and "going in the history books for being the legendary mischief-makers." Or something like that. You didn't really listen, like at all, only perking up and paying a biiit more attention when they mentioned 'you' and 'food.'
Were you getting an all-you-can-eat-buffet?
Aww, such sweethearts! They shouldn't have.
Weelll, you did deserve it, after all. Going along on this journey and defeating a dragon is not an easy feat. They should make you an entire statue while they're at it!
Yes, one right next to the entrance so all visitors and passers-by could see you and know of your magnificent and heroic deeds.
You mentally patted yourself on the back. The look on your face was a mix of smugness and pride.
But you were forgetting one small itty bitty detail (or two) in your only sliiightly intoxicated state:
You weren't the sole hero who slew the dragon. You already got your fair share of the reward: a high status in the kingdom - a place in the High Court of the company who went on that dragon-slaying quest - and a luxurious comfy home included. And not to forget the gold you were promised. Thorin also offered work in a high place in the kingdom like a royal scholar or something, but you gracefully declined. You liked working in the toy shop with Bofur and Bifur - so...no statue for you.
But you didn't remember that.
You snapped out of your daydreams when Fili softly helped you to sit down on your bed.
How did you get here in the first place?
"Are you alright Y/N?"
Fili or Kili, you don't know which one as they looked the same to you at the moment, wiggling in front of you with their two clones.
When did they become a quadruplet?
"Y/N?"
Oh yeah, you still needed to answer them.
"...'M fiiinee."
You managed to slur out with difficulty, sleepiness slowly taking over. The brain cells were already going to bed, leaving behind a heavily drunken brain to operate the whole system.
What could go wrong, am I right?
...A lot.
*(*)*(*)*
"Ugh, stupid hangover..."
You moaned, resting your chin on the edge of the bucket pathetically.
You felt like you died and came back to life again, moaning over a bucket you desperately tried not to look into, for you knew the meal you had yesterday would not be a pretty sight.
At least you could tell what was up and down...yay for you...
You didn’t forget that you had somehow convinced Fili and Kili you were really fine and totally not wasted. How was beyond you, and you were not in the mood to figure it out.
Maybe they were also drunk or just took advantage of your pickled state. Yeah, they would do that to guilt-trip you into going along with their prank. They knew you never break a promise, even if you made it in your totally half-sober state. They were too cunning for their own and others’ - mostly others’ - good.
Anyway, somehow (not surprisingly) without knowing what you were getting into, you had nodded along with everything they had said.
You vaguely remember Kili or Fili tucking you in and saying goodnight.
Note to self: Never try to win against Bofur - or any dwarf for that matter - in a drinking match ever again.
You chastised yourself while staggering towards your wardrobe.  How late would Fili or Kili pick you up to set his prank in motion? You didn’t even care which one it was - you hated them both at the moment...Okay, who are you kidding; you would do the same thing again in a heartbeat for either of them. And of course, they would give poor little you the hardest and most dangerous job to fulfil... Great. Just peachy.
Sigh.
Let's get this whole shenanigan over with, dammit. They’d better sing tales and praises about you once this is over.
Not long after you put some clothes on, The two brothers barged into your chamber, loud and boisterous as ever. How they both could be so lively in the morning (with probably a hangover too) was beyond you.
"...Stupid dwarf genes..."
You mumbled to yourself as you let the two princes drag you to the training hall with their arms hooked around yours on either side.
You felt dread pool inside your stomach as you got closer to the training hall.
Now, normally you loved the training hall. After all, it was the front row seat to a heavenly sight of young warriors and their amazing muscles being put to use in a workout. Not to forget there was one dwarf in particular who you just loved to watch while he flexed his muscles by throwing other dwarves around.
But right now, you feared it with a burning passion, for that place was undoubtedly the place where you would meet your inevitable doom.
"Don't worry dear Y/N, it's gonna be fun!"
Kili spoke up happily, seeming to notice your unease Oh, how you would love to give him the big finger. But knowing Kili, he would drop you for the fun of it and make a whole drama show out of it, gasping and acting like a stereotypical blonde rich girl, one who just overheard the most scandalous gossip about herself. You cursed yourself for showing Kili how to be a true drama queen. (Prince, in his case, but you get the point.) The traitor uses all those tricks against you every chance he gets. You could just kick yourself for being so stupid to show him the ropes. What's worse is that if you would put Kili in a dress he would be the definition of a diva! How he does it?
No one knows!
Why couldn't you just say no and walk away?
"Because you're too nice to leave your favourite dwarves hanging, Y/N. You promised you would help." Kili said. Technically, your autopilot did, not you. Unfortunately for you, Kili was right. You wouldn't leave him hanging.
You glared at Kili and the stupid cheeky grin he gave you. You would have rolled your eyes at him if that wouldn't hurt as much as it did, so you decided to roll your eyes mentally instead.
Wait...did you just say that out loud?
"Yes, yes you did."
"Fu-"
*(*)*(*)*
After what seemed like ages Fili and Kili had finally managed to drag your miserable self to the big wooden doors of the training hall. You had given up the struggle after the longest ten minutes of your life, deciding to formulate a master escape plan before you would reach the training halls. Unfortunately for you, it was too late. You threw your carefully thought-out plan down the drain when Kili accidentally slammed the door against the wall too loud when he kicked it open with his boot.
Still having his arm looped around your's, mind you.
Everyone and everything quieted down for just a moment. Heads turned towards the entrance where they were all, no doubt about it, greeted with a comical sight.
Fili and Kili, obnoxious as always and wicked smiles on their faces (and everyone who even remotely knew the young princes, grasped that the two were up to no good.)
dragged a very anxious looking you with them. One would guess you were about to be sacrificed as a dragon's dinner.  Which you were, in your opinion.
"Come on Y/N,  time to teach you how to disarm opponents," Fili said, leading the way to a part of the area where a couple of young dwarves were thrown on the ground by one dwarf in particular, one you came to recognise as the hottest and grumpiest dwarf in all of Grump Town. And oh boy, you were not ready to get destroyed by him, and you showed it, too, pulling and protesting and cursing at everything that lived.
How you wished you could tell people that you managed to free yourself from the boy's grasp and run for the hills.
Sadly, that wish didn't come true; God hated you or something, for Fili and Kili  - those little rascals - managed to push you right into Dwalin.
You didn't know if Dwalin catching you was a blessing or a curse. What you did know, however, was that you most definitely were blushing, if your burning cheeks were anything to go off of.
Dwalin was shirtless... His strong, hairy arms encircled your waist delicately, and you were practically pressed against his chest...
Against his strong, warm and bushy dwarven chest.
The scent of sweat, smoke and a vague hint of cookie dough entered your nose, and it strangely made you feel at home.
You were a goner, yep completely gone, nobody's home. Come back later or leave a message after the beep for Y/N dot exe has stopped working and took a vacation to cloud nine.
Sadly, your cloud nine had been sucked away too quickly by the dwarf himself who put you there in the first place.
Dwalin, being the grump that he is, grunted at you and pushed you back on your feet as if you had burned him!
"Rude much," you grumbled once you managed to keep your balance, dusting yourself off.
Dwalin (the ass) only grunted in return. Him and his damn grunts.
You ain't special enough for him to form a full sentence for you, now?
Fine, if he was gonna play it that way then, you were gonna give it to him back tenfold.
Screw consequences, the dick deserved this. You were gonna go all out.
You turned around and stuck your tongue out like a real child woman.
Fili and Kili started to giggle behind you, getting quiet real quick when they saw Dwalin glaring daggers at them.
You marched towards the two princes, whispering four words as you moved past them.
"Let's do this shit."
The boys definitely heard you, for their grins turned wicked.
One glance and you knew what was about to come. If being the two princes’ guinea pig for pranks with poor Bilbo the entire journey taught you anything, it would be to recognize the twinkle in their eyes.
It spoke in volumes louder than any dragon could roar; chaos was about to unfold, both in their brains (as they looked each other in the eye) and soon, in reality. You looked slightly over your shoulder.
Yeah, they were scheming alright, communicating with that brotherly bond they share or something.
Watch out Dwalin:
This. Is. War.
*(*)*(*)*
ShitshitshitshitSHIT!
Oh, how you came to regret tripping Dwalin up. In your defence, it wasn't your fault that he couldn't take his dark eyes off of you when you pulled your shirt off because the heat was getting too hot to handle.
Wink wonk.
Hey, at least you wore a white undershirt. One which clung to your breasts tightly. Yeah, that'll give him something to look at.
Anyway!
It wasn't your fault, either, when Dwalin marched towards you with purpose in his steps when you bent over to grab a dagger off the ground, showing him your assets in the process.
It was his fault, really! He should've noticed that Fili and Kili were waiting for him to stand on the grey X. And now you were running for your life with a very, very angry dwarf (who was covered in white glue and colourful feathers) on your heels. Thanks for everything, Kili. Thanks for shrieking out, "Y/N planned it!" The moment Dwalin glared at them...
The snitch.
You pushed dwarves to the side as you ran for your life, screaming sorry as you went, because you are a polite gentlelady. Dwarves watched you go with wide eyes, confused as heck as Dwalin stormed past them not long after.
Most of the time, you were glad they made the hallways mainly one straight line, but now? You cursed its existence and its creator.
There was unquestionably no doubt about it that Dwalin would catch up. Curse you and your hate of exercise.
You should have taken Gloin's offer of jogging with him when you had the chance, but Bombur's pastries were too tempting to pass up on at the time.
And now here you were, fleeing like the devil was behind you, with burning lungs and protesting legs. You were afraid to glance back; you could almost feel your pursuer’s breath go down your neck. You silently prayed to all the deities above and beneath you to help you out, and it seemed one took pity on your little mortal soul. For the moment you finished your prayer, you were rewarded with two things: two dwarves carrying barrels, and a small corridor you almost missed if it hadn't been for someone came out of said corridor.
You took the opportunity without hesitation and slammed against the two unexpecting dwarves, who dropped the barrels in surprise. You managed to slip past them before the barrels hit the ground - like freaking Indiana Jones - skidding through the corridor with a sharp turn.
Without a second wasted, you pressed yourself against the wall like a ninja on a mission and held your breath. This was the moment of truth. There were two possibilities: either Dwalin wasn't fooled by the stunt, or he runs right by you. You prayed for the latter.
Lo and behold, for your prayers have been answered again! The deities really loved you at this moment, or just had lots of pity for you.
Dwalin ran past the corridor.
You let out the biggest sigh of relief in your life Patting yourself on the back, you turned around with a smile... Only to come face to face with the king of the mountain. The smug-ass had a knowing smirk on his face.
Shitpopcicles...
"Why are you so out of breath Y/N? You look as if a warg was on your heels." the smirk faltered as Thorin rubbed at his chin as if he were thinking.
The grin returned tenfold. "Is a certain dwarf chasing you, perhaps...?" His voice was teasing; he dang well knew why.
Oh, how you wished you could smack that smirk off his face, but sadly that was not a good idea. The bugger knows about your crush on Dwalin and teases you often.
He found out about it during the journey and he had always put you and Dwalin on watch together.
He shipped it, you just knew he did.
You pointed a threatening finger towards him. "Watch out, boy." You were close enough to Thorin to be the only one allowed to do something like this.
"Or this little lady won't hesitate to tell the whole damn mountain and a certain someone that you have a crush on a certain hobbit."
His face stayed the same - stoic and not moving - but you saw it at his softly reddening cheeks that your suspicions had been right. You grinned victoriously at Thorin, who stood there without uttering a word. Serves him right! Now you had blackmail. Internally, you were cackling evilly.
Your body froze while Thorin opened his mouth to speak. You felt as if Hell had just frozen over for that's when you heard it:
"You...!"
It sounded like thunder rumbling. Deep, rough and threatening. You would have totally been turned on if you weren't scared for your life.
Dwarfzilla was coming...
Without noticing it, you pushed Thorin to the side and ran like a madwoman. This is how it all happened. Now you're all caught up, so let's continue.
Fili and Kili had better sing tales about you after this.
You turned many corners and hallways, zooming past Dwarves who flushed themselves against the narrow walls in haste as you ran past them.
Some of them called out to you, but you couldn't hear what they said; Being chased doesn't really give you the time to stop and listen to what they had to say, now does it?
At one point, you began to notice the path becoming disproportionate and rough. Stones stuck out of the floor and walls. You tripped over a couple of those, those little buggers. Soon, it was as if you weren't in a hallway anymore, but in a cave instead.
Dwalin had been calling out to you after a while of running through the cave-like hallway. But the thing was, he didn't sound angry anymore.
He sounded worried, desperate even, which was very much out of character for Dwalin, to be honest...
Sadly, you hadn't had the time to realize why Dwalin acted the way he did before you dropped down a hole in the floor with a yelp. At least you found out why he was so concerned.
What a great day...
*(*)*(*)*
A short cry reverberated throughout the chamber, and a high pitched voice followed after.
"Could you be more gentle!?"
You glared at Dwalin, who like always, grunted his replies instead of talking like a normal Dwarf-being!
Though he did what you asked and rubbed the ointment on your bruises more gently, which felt like heaven on your sore skin...
You felt absolutely stupid, sitting on a wooden bench with Dwalin treating your bruises and wounds. (Oin was too busy to do it himself so he shoved ointment in Dwalin's hand. The other was holding you at that moment, for Dwalin wouldn't allow you to walk yourself. Oin said that Dwalin should do it before promptly leaving.) Dwalin had to pull you out of the hole, though he spoke more words than he had said to you this entire day. You counted that as a victory.
You still felt your heart flutter every time you thought about it: He had been extremely gentle, lifting you out of the hole with both his arms. Cradling you to his chest while muttering in dwarvish. Checking all over your body before caressing the back of your head and pressing it against his shoulder as he held you close. This time, you understood his mumbles: "Thank Mahal, yer safe," his voice was so quiet, wavering with raw emotion;
"never do anything like that ever again, ya hear me."
Dwalin was still shirtless and covered in glue and feathers during the entire ordeal.
Your heart had skipped multiple beats right then and there, cheeks flushed red. You had been trying to process those words the entire way to Oin. Still trying to figure out the meaning behind the words he uttered with such intensity.
You were brought out of your trance by Dwalin tapping on your shoulder, you looked over to see him staring at you, "Lift yer left foot."
You did as he asked, lifting your foot. Dwalin grasped it gently in one hand as he removed the boot delicately. If this was in a different situation, it would have been very intimate. No, wait, scratch that; it's intimate even now, which was not good for your heart, which was doing summersaults inside your chest. Yep, you were screwed...
So badly, and heavenly screwed.
Yet you couldn't find it in yourself to really mind.
Once Dwalin removed the boot and sock, he started to massage your foot with ointment, muttering to himself. "Why did ya let yerself be dragged in the princes' pranks."
It wasn't a question, but you answered anyway, "Those princes made me promise to help them out when I was drunk- don't look at me like that Dwalin! You know I never break promises, even if I made them while I was drunk."
He averted his eyes, stilling his ministrations slightly. "Ya need to learn to say no."
His voice was almost too soft to hear, but you did.
You huffed in return, "I'm getting better at it though! I said no to Fleder-Fledder something when he tried to get me to marry him!"
Dwalin chuckled, "Aye ya did. Ya kicked him good in the nuts."
"Well, he deserved it, I didn't even know him and wouldn't take no for an answer, so I had to make it clear."
You grinned at Dwalin as he shook his head, a smirk on his face.
Your eyes turned soft, remembering how Dwalin had positioned himself between the man and you when the man tried to grab you by the neck. Your hero had glared at the man fiercely, threatening to gut him with his axe if he didn't take the hint and shove off.
The man had pissed himself before he had sprinted off, too scared to utter a single word.
You had hugged Dwalin to thank him and since then, he only acknowledged you with grunts... That was the day before the feast.
Balin had said not to take it personally, that Dwalin needed time to sort himself out. But damn was it hard to not take it to heart.
"Why did you do it?"
The dam broke, spilling your most inner thoughts. Fumbling with your fingers, you stared at the ground, missing the confused look on Dwalin's face. "What?"
"Why did you ignore me after I hugged you?"
You were not gonna beat around the bush with this one. You made your bed, and now you need to lie in it.
"You didn't acknowledge me for three days. Balin said to give you space, so I did. But damnit Dwalin, you ignored me for three days! Why?"
You didn't mean for your voice to crack when you looked him in the eyes. You didn't mean for the tear to slip past. Dwalin's eyes widened in return. Very slightly, but you noticed. He averted his gaze to the ground for a second, placing your foot down gently and then looked up into your eyes.
"I...I got confused," he began, eyes full with emotions, some you couldn't even place. "I got confused...Emotions which I thought I had buried deep down, long ago resurfaced..." you blinked. Were his eyes getting glassy?
"They resurfaced tenfold. I didn't know what to do or think… I didn't think," he grabbed your hand in his delicately, tracing the skin with his thumb, never taking his eyes off you even once. "I threw up my walls in a panic, I shouldn't have, but I did..." he took in a deep breath. "Hurting those dear to me." Dwalin pressed his lips against your hand, it was gentle and soft. Butterflies fluttered inside your stomach.
"Y/N, lass, I truly regret putting ya through such pain. Could you forgive this fool of a dwarf?" He whispered, staring at you with pleading eyes.
You did what everyone would do in this situation.
You hit him on the head and yelled, "you idiot!!" and slapped against his chest multiple times. "I thought you hated me...!" Dwalin grabbed you by the waist and raised you into the air without much problem. He stared into your eyes with passion as he uttered one word.
"Never."
The two of you were only a small length apart. Without hesitating, you closed the distance, pressing your lips against his. He passionately returned the kiss, both of you closing your eyes as you relished the feeling of each other.
Yeah, you were on cloud nine alright. The touch of Dwalin's hands holding you so gently set your skin aflame. You could get used to this.
Parting to gasp for air, you glanced at Dwalin's face. Eyes lidded, and mouth slightly open. You smirked then, leaning in, you brushed your lips lightly against his.
He groaned in return.
"Yer doing things to me, lass," he pressed his head against yours, his eyes soft as he looked at you. "Be mine?"
You only nodded, leaning in for another kiss to seal the promise.
Yeah, today was a great day...
the dark side - jj maybank x shoupe’s daughter, ch. 2
Tumblr media
w/c: 2.5k
warnings: mentions of domestic abuse
summary:  catherine shoupe has the perfect life. when she gets hired by heyward to run groceries, she has a new coworker - jj maybank. as the deputy’s daughter, she can’t help but hate him. but when jj decides to bring her to the dark side and woo her over, cat not only has to hide her activities from her father, but learn who her father really is.
a/n: this is mainly character development (with plenty of JJ), angst and fluff to come next chapter :-) for the first chapter my tags weren’t working, so if you haven’t read it, you can read chapter 1 here
----
“Don’t call me that,” she snapped, and Pope was quickly in between the two of them.
“Can we not?” he addressed both of them, exasperated. “At least not in front of my dad.”
Cat rolled her eyes, moving to the side of the boat to push off the dock while JJ sauntered to the steering wheel.
Maybe this was a bad choice. Lane three sounded nice right now. She tried to push her thoughts away as she sat on the back of the boat.
Pope sat down next to her, and they sat silently until he spoke. “You know, Cat, he was a kid back then.”
“He still said and did that stuff though,” she grumbled, picking at the frayed hems of her denim shorts. “And nothing has changed since then.”
She remembered that day well. Back when she went to the same middle school as Pope and JJ and the rest of their crew. It was the age when kids become cliquey, and start to push boundaries. Cat had always been the girl whose dad was a cop, and when she was younger, it was cool. He would do talks at her school. Her classmates’ attitudes changed once she hit middle school. Kids were becoming more in tune with their parents’ perspectives on cops, and they started getting trouble as well. In a place like the Outer Banks, although it is paradise on Earth, kids got bored.
Kids like JJ. He had always had a troubled life in addition to a smart mouth and loose lips.
She overheard him one day, talking about how his father would beat his mother. Cat felt like it was her obligation to tell her dad and, after enough pestering and begging from her, he agreed to look into it.
A few days later, JJ had decked her across the face with a solid right hook. He yelled at her, awful things about how her father was destroying families and lives and that she was too dumb to see it.
A month later, his mother left them in the middle of the night.
The two of them hadn’t associated since. Cat’s dad brought him up sometimes. “JJ stole another box of condoms from the Dollar General.” “JJ got into another fight at the Boneyard.” “Someone saw JJ stumbling down main street drunk.”
Ever since his mother left, JJ’s mischief escalated.
Cat looked over at him, piloting the boat. His back was to her, and he was leaning against the side of the cabin, gazing out onto the water, his loose hair fluttering in the same breeze that rustled the grocery bags.
JJ looked over towards her, his icy blue gaze chilling her despite the warm air. Looking away, she trained her eyes on her feet.
“Brr,” Pope said, as if reading her mind.
“He can apologize to me,” Cat decided, thinking out loud. Part of her hoped her words were lost in the wind, so that JJ didn’t hear them. Another part of her hoped he heard.
Pope just sighed before they launched into small talk the rest of the short ride to Figure Eight. It didn’t take long; JJ pulled the boat up beside the dock while Cat jumped onto the worn wood, clipping the boat in at the stern and tying it at the bow.
As Pope and JJ handed the groceries down to her, she noticed that JJ’s gaze was intense and lingering. Purposefully avoiding it, once the last of the groceries were unloaded, she picked up the bags and started walking down the dock to the Thompson’s house.
The boys eventually caught up to her, and they delivered the groceries, Mrs. Thompson slipping each of them a $20 bill as a tip.
“Is this a normal thing?” Cat asked, holding up the money as soon as they were on their way back to the boat.
“Sure is,” Pope said.
“The more good looking you are, the more they tip,” JJ said, peering at Cat over his sunglasses and pretending to lick the money. It was crumpled up from being shoved in his pocket.
The three of them finished up six more deliveries that day. The sun was setting as they docked at Heyward’s. Cat’s skin was reddened from the sun, her hair sticking to her face with sweat. Her interaction with JJ hadn’t been any more than a couple brief exchanges. Luckily, Pope seemed to stick to Cat’s side and JJ kept to himself.
Dinner was just being put on the table as Cat got home, and she didn’t bother cleaning up before sitting down. Her parents flooded her with questions about her new job. She told them about Pope, but not about JJ.
----
The first week of work had passed uneventfully. Most days she worked with JJ, but a couple of days, it was just her and Pope. JJ hadn’t addressed the tension between them, and Cat sure as hell wasn’t going to make the first move. He largely ignored her when they worked, which she was fine with.
She decided she liked the job well enough. She made good money with the pay raise and tips, and she could work on her tan, rolling up the sleeves of her work t-shirts and knotting them at the bottom while she was on the boat for a little extra breeze and exposed skin.
Cat and JJ had just finished their last delivery of the day. The sun was slowly dropping down towards the horizon, casting everything in deep shadows and a golden glow. She definitely couldn’t help but notice JJ’s hair, tousled by the wind of the day, and how it caught the evening rays of sunlight as he disconnected the gas can from the boat.
End of the day checks usually went pretty quickly. There was a checklist kept on board that Cat went over, and she held it while she locked up the cabin of the boat.
JJ’s voice sounded from behind her. “Kitty Cat…”
“Don’t call me that,” she interrupted, not looking up from what she was doing and maneuvering the padlock so that she could lock the door.
“...I’ve blamed you, you know. This whole time.”
JJ’s words made Cat stop going through the checklist. “Excuse me?”
“Fuck the checklist,” he said, pulling it from her hands and tossing it on the table in the middle of the boat. Did JJ want to get real with her? The look on his face said yes: the way his blue eyes were hard yet soft, the way his jaw was clenched, the way his fists were balled up.
Cat raised her chin to meet his gaze before he continued.
“I’ve blamed you for the past five years. For everything.”
“That’s not very ni-”
“Shut the fuck up and let me talk,” he burst, bringing his hands up and waving them in a frenzy. Cat took a step back at the movement, and JJ’s face dropped. “Cat, I-”
She turned and walked away, but she could only walk a few feet until she was sitting on the side of the boat. JJ sighed, then went to sit next to her. He was silent for a few moments before speaking. “I’d like to talk things out between us. Want to get dinner?”
“My parents are expecting me home for dinner,” she replied, not looking at him. He sighed, moving slightly.
“Oh. Yeah. Of course,” he said quietly. “I forgot people do that kind of thing.”
His words hurt. She felt stabbing pangs of guilt inside her.
Almost without realizing, Cat picked up her phone, dialing her father.
“Hey Cat, what’s up?” he answered, the sound muffled. She heard the clicking of a turn signal in the background.
“Hey dad, I’m not going to be able to make it home for dinner tonight. We’re flooded with orders at work and have to do some late runs.”
“Alright sweetie, just text me when you’re on your way home, okay? We’ll save you some leftovers.”
“Thanks dad, love you.”
“Love you too, Cat. Be careful on the water tonight.”
At that, Cat hung up, meeting JJ’s eyes for the first time. He raised his eyebrows at her.
“Where are we going, Maybank?” she asked, and a grin spread across his face.
Half an hour later, they were seated on the back patio of The Wreck, JJ claiming the Carreras gave him a “best friend discount”. They ordered, then sat in an awkward silence, Cat waiting for JJ to speak up.
“I’m sorry I hit you that one time,” he said suddenly, pulling Cat’s eyes up to meet his intense gaze. “I never should have done that. You were worried about me. You were trying to help. I never got to thank you for that.”
“I’m sorry I made your business mine,” she replied quietly. Cat was absently messing with the paper straw wrapper, folding it and ripping it. “I guess I just… felt like I had to.”
JJ was nodding, clearly thinking about her words and how to respond.
“I shouldn’t have blamed you like I did,” he said finally, giving her a tight smile. “It was just a lot. At the time. It’s still a lot.”
“Want to talk about it?” she asked, and JJ looked up from his drink, raising an eyebrow.
“You’re kidding,” he said, his voice flat.
“I won’t tell my dad. I promise.”
JJ smiled, which turned into a laugh, dimples cratering his cheeks and his hair falling in his face. Behind him, the sun was almost set, only the faintest of oranges lighting up the otherwise dark sky.
“This is a conversation for another day, kitty Cat,” he said, sitting back in his chair. His eyes flicked towards the interior of the restaurant, and Cat turned to follow his gaze. She saw Kiara inside, gesturing wildly and mouthing words at JJ, but stopped and smiled and waved as she noticed Cat looking back.
“Are you sure you’re okay though?” she asked, looking back at him.
He laughed again. “I’m fine. Trust me.” There was an awkward pause. “We cool now?”
“I’m cool if you’re cool,” she replied, taking a sip of her lemonade and raising her eyebrows at him.
“Well, if you’re cool then I’m cool.” She smiled at his play on her words.
“We’re cool, then.”
“Cool as cucumbers.”
They burst into a fit of laughter as Kiara arrived with their food. “I’m not even gonna ask,” she said, shaking her head, visibly confused. She set the chicken sandwich down in front of Cat before handing JJ his food, whacking him on the head with her serving plate before heading back inside.
“You two still good friends?” she asked, picking up a sweet potato fry. JJ was in the middle of attacking his burger.
“Very,” he said around his food, and Cat made a face at his manners. She shouldn’t have expected anything less from JJ. “We ‘ang out almost every day.”
“You what?” she asked, grinning, leaning forward on the table, her elbows pressed against the soft wood. “Can you repeat that?”
“We hang,” he said, and a piece of mashed-up food flew out of his mouth as he stressed the word. “H-A-N-G.”
“That’s what I thought, thanks for specifying,” she teased before taking a bite of her chicken sandwich.”
“You should come hang with us sometime,” JJ said, once again carefully pronouncing the word.
Cat almost choked at the proposition, realizing he was serious, but made a point by carefully and thoroughly chewing her food before answering, making direct eye contact the whole time. JJ quickly caught on, pressing his lips together and raising his eyebrows, waiting for her answer.
“Maybe,” she concluded.
“Your dad tell you horror stories about us?” JJ’s words were nonchalant. He leaned back, tossing a fry into his mouth, expecting an answer.
“Mainly about you,” she replied, taking another bite.
“Me?” he asked, and she nodded. “Well, I’m flattered. What would he think about you and I here, now?”
“‘e’d ‘ate it,” she said, holding a hand over her mouth, catching herself as she spoke with her mouth full.
A wicked grin spread across JJ’s face. “What’d you say there, kitty Cat?”
“He would hate it! He’d disown me!” she laughed, and JJ smiled back at her.
“Unfortunately, I think that’s the truth,” he said. Cat hung her head in agreement, and the conversation died.
They ate, and Cat was almost done with her meal when JJ broke the silence. “Does he know we work together?”
She shook her head. “He’s bound to find out eventually, though.”
“Can I ask something else?”
“Sure.”
“Do you associate with any other Pogues?”
“No, aside from you and Pope,” she replied, her voice soft. Cat didn’t have to think about her answer. “I mean… I don’t associate with too many people. I have a few good friends. A bunch of Kook families really kiss ass to my family, I guess so the cops stay away from them and whatever they do. My dad hardly even lets me drive through the Cut when I want to surf down there or anything like that.”
JJ nodded, his eyes fixed on the table.
“You associate with any Kooks?” she asked, turning the question onto him.
“Kie,” he said. “I mow some lawns. Kiss some asses,” he added, winking. “But no, they don’t exactly welcome me over there.”
It was Cat’s turn to nod in response, not able to think of any words that could break the heaviness of the topic.
Luckily, Kiara arrived to take their plates. “One check,” Cat said, and Kiara’s eyes grew wide, looking from Cat, to JJ, then back to Cat.
“Get that smirk off your face, JJ,” she sighed, turning and leaving.
“What’s that smirk for?” Cat pressed, smiling.
“Nothin’,” JJ replied, shrugging dramatically, his smirk softening into a smile. Cat rolled her eyes, and Kiara returned quickly with the check.
“I’ll drive you home,” Cat proposed, leaving $25 in cash with the check. They stood and began down the steps from the deck to where Cat’s car was parked.
JJ quickly shot her offer down. “My dad isn’t good at forgiving people, kitty Cat. I’ll walk, it’s not far.”
“Oh- okay.”
“Thanks for dinner tonight. I’ll make it up to you sometime.”
“JJ Maybank? Offering me, a Kook, repayment? That’s a shocker.”
“I’m not all what your dad makes me out to be,” he said, walking backwards away from her. “There’s more than what meets the eye, and that goes for everyone, including your father. Come hang with us sometime, I’ll get you out of your bubble, kitty Cat”
“What do you mean?” she asked, but by the time the words left her mouth, JJ had turned and was jogging away.
Monster || Hitoshi Shinso x Reader
Pairing: Hitoshi Shinso x Reader Song: Dodie Clark - Monster Summary: You’re a simple transfer student who sees more in the quiet class outcast than meets the eye Warnings: fluff, mostly Word Count: 2,537 A/N: If you’re on mobile, I’m so so so sorry, not all of the formatting is crossing over ㅠㅠ
Tumblr media
Tell me again about how it hurts Being awfully loud for an introvert Get out of my room, smile wiped clean Isn't it weird to be so mean?
His entire life, Shinso had to deal with people making crude comments and overall bullying him over his quirk. Yeah, sure, it wasn’t a physical quirk like say Almights or Mt. Lady,, it was more mental. Well, to be specific, he could brainwash people when he wanted as long as they spoke to him. For this, well, everyone thought he would make a good villian and nobody would let that go for years. Even when he got into the school of his dreams (albeit into general studies because his quirk doesn’t work against robots for obvious reasons), it never let up. There were a handful who didn’t treat him like some kind of monster, but even so he was usually met with distrust which understandably got on his nerves quite a bit. He pretty much got tired of it real fast, and that was very evident in his face, as he hardly ever smiled and his exhaustion showed very clearly in his eyes.
I'm guessing that I've grown horns I guess I'm human no more I can tell I've rotted in your brain
A few months into the school year, you transferred into his class, also having a quirk that didn’t really help much in combat. Not too long after walking into your class, you noticed a tired looking, but cute, boy in the back of the room sitting away from everyone, or rather, it seemed they were sitting away from him. He seemed disinterested in you and your other classmates, and even went as far as to yawn as you introduced yourself to the class. There were a few other empty seats around the classroom, but it would seem you surprised him when you decided to take the empty seat next to him. A brief look of confusion crossed his face, but he quickly shrugged it off, assuming you handn’t heard about him and his quirk yet. However that would quickly change. Just as you were getting up to go to lunch, and hopefully sit with him, one of your classmates noticed what you were going to do and tried to stop you. They had said that he was almost destined to become a villain, and that he had a brainwashing quirk. He happened to overhear this and ended up assuming that you would be no different than anyone else he had ever met. He assumed that you would think he was a monster.
Oh, how easily passion twists You think I'm a crazy bitch I craft my words to fit your head 'Cause no one listens to the dead
You ended up shrugging off your classmate, mumbling a mere “His quirk doesn’t make him a villain in the making”, although no one seemed to hear you. Your classmate threw their hands up and said “Hey, just thought I’d warn you before you speak to him”, and walked away. You jogged up to him and decided to go for a friendly greeting, but he cuts you off, saying that hes not interested in hearing your opinion about him or his quirk. This leaves you standing there, shocked, as he continues his pace to the cafeteria. He honestly felt a bit bad after the fact, because you seemed genuinely nice,, but hes seen enough “genuinely nice” people that he doesn’t wanna take anymore risks. Hell, its not like anyone up to this point wanted to be in his presence.
So maybe I will talk to you The only way I know how to Mhm, I've said my speech Mhm, through sharpened teeth You break the rules and spikes grow from your skin Please let the devil in
Despite your recent interaction with him, you ended up sitting at the same table as him, figuring it was better than sitting by yourself amongst people you dont know. A lunch alone and silent had seemed like the better option than having to listen to a conversation you had no interest in. He looked down the table and noticed you seeming deep in thought, quietly poking at your food. He looked around and took note of the empty seats at all the other tables, and how even after your last conversation, you chose to sit at the same table as him anyways. “Hey! y/n, right? Look, I’m sorry about earlier..” He said, shifting in his seat. You simply looked up at him and shrugged, smiling slightly. He took your lack of words in a response as you taking what the other students said as truth. So he looked back at his own food in silence, not expecting your eventual response. “...Actually, I understand. You probably overheard what they said.. It wasn’t cool of them though, and I can’t even begin to fathom what it must be like to deal with that..” You had said softly, but loud enough for him to hear. He looked back up at you, a little surprised, but you haven’t looked up away from your food it would seem. “Yeah, its rough, but its been this way for a while so I’m used to it.” He had stated. This time you looked him in the eyes, sadness adorning your own. “You shouldn’t be, though.. Used to it, I mean. Your quirk is honestly really cool, and I think it’d make you a really awesome superhero.” You finally saw the smallest of smiles creep onto his face, causing you to smile back at him in return.
A meter apart, we blankly stare We shout in our heads, "Are you still in there?" Well, this ends bad then, we knew it would So we won't eat our words, 'cause they don't taste good
A few more months pass, and you and Shinso have become practically inseparable.You both got some odd looks here and there, but nothing you couldn’t handle. You wouldn’t trade your best friend for the world, and overtime you felt yourself wanting to be more with him. He was quiet and a bit cold, yeah, but with you he was sweet and charming and warm. You knew he would never use his quirk on you to hurt you, and you wouldn’t do the same to him. Although your newfound feelings caused for some awkward moments, but thats mostly because he didn’t know how you felt. He honestly wanted to know why that happened, but he knew forcing it out of you would only break the trust you both shared, although he would be lying if he said he wasn’t worried you would finally listen to your classmates.
I'm guessing that I've grown horns I guess I'm human no more I can tell I've rotted in your brain Oh, how easily passion twists You think I'm a crazy bitch A thousand words are left unsaid 'Cause no one listens to the dead
A few more months pass, and to his relief, you two are still as thick as thieves. Whenever someone would bully him, you (in your slowly growing confidence) would stand up for him, and if anyone bullied you, he had your back and stood up for you. Along the way, you had befriended some of the kids from class 1-A,, Deku, Ochaco, Jiro, Tsu, and Tokoyami to be exact. Although it was during that time you really shined in his eyes, and he realized that he started liking you as more than just a friend. It was hard for him, at first, dealing with his crush on you. He didn’t want to make you uncomfortable, or think hes changed. You mean too much to him for him to lose you over feelings he didn’t realize he had. None of your other friends knew either, as you were his only confidant, so that made dealing with these feelings a bit harder. However, unbeknownst to you and Shinso, Jiro and Ochaco managed to connect the dots pretty quickly, which then hatched into the matchmaking plan of the century, or at least, for your friendgroup. The plan wasn’t to elaborate, it was mostly just to catch you both talking to eachother standing towards eachother, and they’ll both just accidentally bump you into him, so he’ll have to catch you and you’ll have to hug for the first time. The others didn’t really like the idea, but they couldn’t think of anything better, so they went through with the plan the very next chance they had.
So maybe I will talk to you The only way I know how to Mhm, I've said my speech Mhm, through sharpened teeth You break the rules and spikes grow from your skin Oh, I think it might be worth a try
The very next day, you and Shinso are standing outside of school having a brief chat while you wait for your other friends to catch up. It was a normal ritual for the group to go home together after school since the only other time everyone saw eachother was in passing or at lunch. Today, however, You happened to have had your back to the school doors, and Shinso was so invested in what you were rambling about that he didn’t even notice your small group of friends making their way towards you. Just a moment later you let out a yelp of shock as you went falling into your best friends arms causing you both to blush like crazy. Both Jiro and Ochaco apologized for their “clumsyness” and stated that they were just excited due to a good day at school and that they “couldn’t wait to tell you what happened”. You both laughed it off, although could hardly look at eachother without getting flustered after that. Especially you because in all this time, you had never noticed how strong shinso had gotten since the sports festival. The plan, as expected, didn’t go quite as your friends had hoped, but it did confirm to them that there were definitely feelings present. This time, as a group, they decided to just confront you both individually and hype you up so that you could confess to one another.
Oh, am I ready to let this die? Mhm, a monster's here Mhm, you plug your ears But hey, you might just listen to it sing Please let the devil in
Luckily for the group, you all had the next day off from school, it being a weekend and all. Jiro, Tsu, and Ochaco decided to go to your house, and they managed to talk Deku and Tokoyami into going to shinso’s for this plan. At first Shinso was a bit confused but decided to go along with it anyways. You seemed to cherish these friends, so what was the harm in getting to know them better? The next few hours ended up being quite the wild ride. When first confronted by both parties, your feelings were adamantly denied for the other, and then denial hit as there was no way your crush liked you back. The girls stated that he was never as interested in them as he was in you, and the guys stated that just because youre comfortable with them doesn’t mean you don’t look at them differently than the way you look at Shinso. Eventually, denial led to hope, and the “proof” led to a peptalk. Next thing you knew, you and shinso were planning on when to hang out, leaving out a key secret as to why you wanted to see eachother in the first place, leaving the other to think that you were just gonna hang out as friends, per usual.
We won't eat our words They don't taste so good
You dressed up a bit, as did he. You both wanted to look your best for the upcoming confession you both would be making to eachother. You knew Shinso didn’t really care for looks, but you did your best anyways, wanting to look nice for him anyways. He left a bit early to get a small bouquet of your favorite flowers. He figured that even if it didn’t go well, it would still be a nice gesture. Time flew by faster than you expected as you both got ready, and the next thing you knew you both were standing in front of eachother outside of the local small coffeeshop. You greeted eachother with small compliments, and Shinso brandished the flowers, handing them to you a bit abruptly. It caught you off guard, but the small thank you that escaped your lips and the dusting of red across your cheeks told him he made the right call. You both go in, and he tells you to just pick a table and that he would order. Having been friends for a while, he knew what you wanted, and you trusted him to not disappoint. A few minutes later, and a few shy glances later, he was sitting across from you, flowers on the table next to the window, favorite coffees in hand. You had looked around, trying to gain some confidence when he gently grabs your hands. This caught your attention, and caused you to forget what you were about to say. He looked down at your hands as he started to gently play with them across the table sweetly, and he mumbled a confession. “Look, y/n, the last few months have been amazing-” before he could finish his sentence , he looks up at you to see your shocked expression. He shifts awkwardly in his seat, unsure how to read the gaze you had set upon him, but he decides to continue anyways, this time looking into your eyes. “I, just.. ahh.. I really like you, y/n.I know you probably don’t feel the same, but I just had to tell you. I hope this doesn’t run anything between us..” He states, and to his dismay you withdraw your hands, and take a sip of your drink, needing a moment to process what you just heard.
Look, we know that I've seen this before High and mighty, at the top of your list Adoring every move, now my rank is sinking But we're both guilty of black or white thinking And through my red eyes, you look pale All of your scars are looking more like scales Two ugly creatures, two sinister preachers Blind to the past, like a couple of monsters Just a couple of monsters
You blink a few times, and place your drink back down, reaching out for his hands again, missing the feeling of his hands against yours. You look back up at him, giving him a small smile as he looks at you expectantly, “Thats actually why I wanted to see you today.. Shinso, I really like you too. You mean the world to me.” He pauses for a brief moment, just like you did just a moment prior. “So...Does that mean we’re dating now?” you giggled to yourself over his question, “If I didn’t know better, I would assume this is our first date~” He chuckled and shrugged, leaning in onto the table, “How would you feel if it was?” “I would be most delighted~”
A Psychopath?
a/n: This is something I dreamed of this night which was super weird. I woke up sweating. I had to write it down and turned it into a little story. This is part one since the story was way too long. I will be posting part two if you guys want to know more. I changed some bits bc it was a really weird.. I hope you like it :)
Pairing: Taehyung x Reader + Mona (your friend)
Genre: well is this a very very angsty story so if you can’t handle reading yourself, your friend or taetae getting hurt please don’t read it..unless you’re here for drama then let’s get it!
Tumblr media
i don’t own the gif
Part I
Kneeling on the ground you couldn’t control your heavy breathing as you heard peoples panicked screaming. You didn’t know what just happened. You couldn’t process what just happened. You let out a loud sob the knot in your throat getting bigger and bigger. How could this happen? Why did this happen?
Taehyung was your best friend. Almost your best friend for life. So was Mona. You’ve been best friends since kindergarten and living next to each other helped you grow a lot into your friendship. You could tell them everything and they could relay on you as well. Time spend with your friends was the most funniest and precious time. You wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Mona was the quite one. She always cared about others opinions. She didn’t want to stand out so people could talk about her. But as soon as you get to know her she’d be the most out going person you’ve ever met. You were the same, just a little more open and not too quite. Saying what you think and doing exactly what you want to do. Taehyung was the lover boy. Everyone loved him. He was the it boy in school making every girl turn her heads to him. He was handsome to say the least. His hair and face was something to just fall in love with. He was the cool guy always talking to everyone and making plans and going to parties but always still having time for both you girls. His personality is something different. Taehyung can be from time to time a little awkward. Well defining awkward, he’s got a personality to get used to. He’s very direct. He tells you what he thinks instantly. Sometimes you wonder what’s going on in his head. He can be very dramatic. Sometimes too dramatic. One time you overheard a group of girls talking about him. One of the girls being his ex girlfriend. She wasn’t really a nice girl and the things she said about him weren’t either. She referred to him as being a psychopath and always wanting to control her in every way possible. She was definitely overreacting the situation since he broke up with her and her being a mad mess. you never told him nor Mona about what you heard and it wasn’t the first time you heard that. He has always the imagine between some people of him being a little gaga and being honest you’re sometimes scared to pick up a fight with him about something just because he can get a little bit intimidating as well as overreacting but he’s your best friend and he would never hurt you, of course.
But Tae has a heart of gold. He’s always polite always nice and always caring. That’s why you love him. Even sometimes a little too much.
“We’re going there right?” Tae said sliding a yellow paper across the table to you and Mona He took a sip from his coffee leaning back on his chair. “I don’t know.. I don’t really like parties” Mona said looking up from the paper. “Mona, this is THE party. Everyone’s going. And everyone means us three too” you looked up into Taehyungs face mustering you both. “Well we could try for once, right?” You said looking over to Mona as she shrugged still unsure. “Fine” Taehyung clapped his hands once and winking at both at you. “Perfect. I gotta go now since I will be taking a girl with us. I hope that’s okay. I gotta meet her now” you looked over to Monas face which you noticed sank and turning her lips into a pouty face. She always does that when something happened she doesn’t like or when she’s disappointed. “Sure have fun” she said and with that Taehyung got up smiled down at you and left the library. You looked over to Mona who was playing with the paper. “Mona do you like him that much?” Her glaze shot up to your face in disbelieve making her laugh. “Well he’s my friend of course I like him” “you know what I mean Mona” “no I don’t please excuse me I have to go to class. See you later” she lifted up her bag, gave you a quick kiss on your cheek and left, leaving you behind.
You know that Mona has a crush on Taehyung. The way she sometimes acts around him, the way she smiles at him, the way she just looks at him. You couldn’t blame her. The bad thing is that you actually have a very light crush on him too but you know that will never happen between you two. You know that it wouldn’t even happen between Mona and him. And you don’t even want it to happen. You’re scared that the beautiful friendship you guys have would break just because one cannot control their feelings. That’s really selfish of course but you couldn’t help it.
Finding out from Taehyung a week before THE party that he’s going there with the most popular girl in Uni doesn’t surprise you a bit. She’s just not nice and that’s what’s been bothering you. “I just want to get laid and she’s perfect for that” “wow what a gentleman you are” you grabbed the chips from his hands stuffing some in your mouth. “I don’t like her” you said with your mouth full watching Tae play his game. He looked at you and stared at your lips for a while as he said “so what? I don’t care about that. I’ll take her to the party” Taehyung said, pissed at your comments about his date. You stepped back a few imaginary steps and tried to calm him down by laughing. “I’m just joking do what you want Tae” “you better”. You turned around to Mona who was sitting on your bed lifting your eyebrows up. She looked at you and mouthed a ‘stop it’ to you finishing the discussion.
“To prepared for THE party next Friday I want to go out drinking with you girls today” Taehyung said while roaming your room. You cleaned around your room for a bit and packing the last things into your bag. “Tae I can’t today I’m going back home for today I’ll be back tomorrow” he mustered you for a while making you a little uncomfortable and smiled then. “I forgot I’m sorry. Mona you’re coming with me right?” Mona kept staring at her hands. “It will be fun. I think it’ll be just you and me then.” Her face grew hot as she nodded and gave him a “Okay it’ll be fun”. Deep down you felt a little jealous of her for spending a night out with him. You were just hoping that nothing will happen between them. Of course nothing will happen. It’s not the first time they were doing stuff together.
Sunday came and you still didn’t receive a message from either Tae nor Mona. You told them to text you about the night but you didn’t get anything. You were driving back to your Campus. It was snowing last night making the streets a little slippery. You were hoping to get back to your room safe since you’re really bad at driving after it snowed. Arriving after 30 minutes of driving you closed your car door and walked to the building. Trying not to slip while walking you finally managed to get to the front door. You walked straight to your room opened it and placed the keys on the table as well as your bag. Monas room was next door so you decided to go to hers. You have the spare keys of each of your best friends so walking over to her room you opened the door. You thought that she’s maybe still sleeping or doing some studying but what you saw was the last thing you expected.
“Tae?” His head turned to your direction placing Monas hand back down on the bed. “Oh hey I didn’t expect you so early” “what’s wrong with Mona” you walked up to the bed and looked down to a sleeping mona” “um well she drank too much and she’s not getting up since last night” “you gotta be kidding me. why didn’t you take her to a doctor?” You said panicking, placing your head on her forehead. She was cold. “Tae she’s cold. Let’s get her to the doctor.” “I think that’s not necessary she will wake up sooner or later” you couldn’t believe what he was saying. You were starting to panic more and being terrified of the thought of her being dead. You placed the side of your finger under her nose to check her breathing. Thank god she was still breathing. “What did you give her?” “She was just drinking too much” “how much” “(Y/N) stop asking so many questions” you looked back to him sitting on the chair with his arms crossed. “Btw you look pretty when you’re mad” he grinned at you. “What the hell is wrong with you Tae? Our friend is laying here unconscious because of you” he got up from the chair he was sitting now standing right in front of you. “Calm down i didn’t kill her she’s just sleeping the alcohol off. now shut your mouth and go back to your room I’ll take care of her.” You pushed him back a little and walked towards your friend. “You don’t do shit. I’m calling an ambulance”. You grabbed your phone and started to dial in the numbers with shaky hands. Without looking Taehyung grabbed your phone out of your hands and threw it across the room against the wall. He grabbed both your wrists and held your hands against his chest. “do you feel my heart beating? It’s only for you (Y/N).”
Volleyball Player!Jungwoo
Tumblr media
position: defensive specialist
year: freshman
skills: passing, communication, cheerleader
so even tho jungwoo is one of the only freshman on the team
he is vvv skilled in his passing to the setter
like everyone was impressed by his abilities bc he’s so young
like how does he do that
so he easily joined the team
and jungwoo is such a cutie that he quickly became very close with everyone
like so effortlessly
he knows how to make his teammates happy
especially if they’re having a bad day at practice
he just starts cracking jokes with them and boom
a smile back on his teammate’s face
he’s also just always a happy-go-lucky guy
so obviously he wants everyone else to be happy
bc he’s also so close with everyone
he’s vvv great at communicating on the court
like everyone knows what’s going on
what the plan is
so if you didn’t know
the defensive specialist is just what it sounds like
they play defensively;; usually in the back row
and he can be subbed in for any player during the game
but he usually takes the middle hitter’s and outside hitter’s spot when they shift to the back row
to give them a break
also bc he’s vvv confident in his skills
and his coach is as well
and bc he’s a freshman too, his coach sees all his potential so obviously, he wants to give him some experience in games
the whole team wants him to too
bc they’re whipped for him
and you lowkey are too
bc how can you not
with that face ?????????
and that smile ??????????
and that personality ????????
like you first met in your biology class
bc you were lab partners and sat next to each other in class
so you spent a lot of time with him learning about life
and jungwoo would just smile during class
like just so happy to be learning about animals and plants
and genetics ;)))))))
and when it came to labs
he’s so hands-on
like he’ll do it all immediately without question
so he’ll follow your instructions and help you answer the questions
and he’ll have to copy off your sheet bc he forgets he has to do it too lol
so he’s a really great lab partner
bc he actually listens
and he’ll definitely let you do some things too
but he usually takes the lead
until it gets to the animal portion and you have to start dissecting
he’s a little too sensitive and too much of an animal lover for that
like you get all set up
and he’s just vvv quiet
unusually quiet
and you’re kinda worried
“are you okay?”
“can you do the lab this time?”
“uh yeah sure, just read the directions for me okay?”
and he’d just nod
so you’d take the scalpal and listen to his instructions
but he’s not looking at the animal
he’s just staring at his paper
you try to finish it as quickly as possible just to help him out
bc you don’t want to stress him out
or make him feel embarrassed
especially with everyone else being really loud and crazy
and bc he doesn’t look at it, you answer all the questions for him as he writes them down
once you’ve finished the directions and questions you were able to go back to the classroom
and you were the first two back there
as you started to copy from his sheet, jungwoo was still quiet
and he was playing with his hands
“what’s up?”
he’d lowkey jump bc he wasn’t expecting you to talk
“n-nothing”
“jungwoo it’s okay that you didn’t dissect it. no one noticed and we got through it. don’t feel bad”
and he’d just nod and stare at the tabletop in front of him
and people started to come back into the room
bringing the rowdiness with them
and you just dropped the topic and finished copying the work
the next class he’s still a little quiet
and just kind of off
but you knew he wouldn’t talk about it with you
at least with everyone else around
“hey are you doing anything after school?”
“i have volleyball practice”
“can i talk to you right after school today?”
jungwoo gives you a weird look but nods anyway
you just smile and return your attention to the teacher lecturing about evolution
when school ends you hurry over to jungwoo’s locker
but he’s not there
you decided to wait for him and watched as everyone else stopped at their lockers and left to go home
after waiting for a couple minutes you just went to the gym
you poked your head into the room to see jungwoo talking with someone much taller than him
who you assumed was one of his teammates
you quietly walked over to him trying to not come off as nervous
you called his name, getting both boys’ attention
jungwoo smiled and followed you into the now empty hallway
“what’s up?”
“oh uh... i just wanted to check if you were really okay after bio lab. you’ve been really quiet and just not yourself”
“oh i’m sorry. i didn’t mean to worry you. i just like animals a lot and having to dissect one just didn’t feel right.”
“are you sure?”
“yeah, i’m really okay. i’m getting over it slowly so i should be back to normal soon.”
and you two would just smile at each other before saying goodbye bc he had practice and you needed to go home
but you actually hung out in the hallway a little longer as you spaced out
and you overheard another guy saying “was that your girlfriend/boyfriend? they’re cute”
“i’m not dating y/n”
“sure jungwoo”
you couldn’t help but feel your face getting all red at the thought of dating him
and that’s all you think about all night
like you couldn’t even focus on your homework because of it
but what you didn’t overhear was bambam saying jungwoo should invite you to their game tomorrow and telling him he should just ask you out already
and jungwoo just kinda blushing and throwing a volleyball at bambam
and then their coach comes in to interrupt their conversation
and when bio comes jungwoo actually does invite you to the game tonight
which takes you by surprise bc where is this coming from
but you nod anyway
he’s also much more like himself by joking and smiling while doing notes
which makes you feel much more comforted by the whole thing
you actually arrive at the game quite early so you just find a seat and watch as both teams’ boys start to come out of their locker rooms and start warming up
and you can’t help but watch jungwoo’s face light up while he warms up
bc he’s so comfortable on the court
and he loves his teammates so much
and when he finally recognizes you sitting there he smiles and waves
which makes you blush a little but you wave back, hoping he wouldn’t be able to see
during the game, you were genuinely surprised at how much jungwoo played
especially bc you knew he was a freshman
even tho you really weren’t that familiar with volleyball in general
every movement continued to amaze you
and how well he got along with his teammates surprised you
and you could feel yourself falling for him even more
which honestly terrified you bc you didn’t know how he felt
after the game (they lost by only a few points in the last set) you weren’t sure if you were supposed to leave
or wait for jungwoo
but you settled on waiting for him bc you wanted to tell him how good he is and you didn’t want to wait until the next class to tell him
and jungwoo didn’t take long to change and meet you at your seat on the bleachers
“thanks for coming”
“no problem! i didn’t know you were that good!”
cue a small giggle and a quiet ‘thanks’ and it’s quiet for a while before he starts
“i gotta tell you something”
“what is it?”
“i really appreciate you checking up on me after bio lab, no one’s really ever checked on me like that before and it made me really happy and i don’t know i guess i just really like you”
after that little ramble session, you weren’t quite sure how to respond
bc how do you respond to that?
but you just blush and try to get your words out
“it’s okay if you don’t like me ba-”
“no i really like you too”
and boom you two are dating
and everyone finds out bc he’s such a touchy guy
like he’s always holding your hand
which lowkey embarrasses you but you let him do it bc you love the feeling of his hand in yours
he even tries it during lab which makes you freak out a little
bc you don’t want him to hurt himself during the lab
so you have to tell him not to
and sometimes during the lab you’re telling him the next step but he doesn’t move and you look at him only to find out he was looking at you the whole time :,)))))
when he finds out you don’t know much about volleyball he tries to teach you
and it’s really cute
bc he tries to teach you how to bump the ball and you just really struggle at first
and he finds it so cute like he can’t stop giggling and telling you how cute you are
and you try your best to go to his games bc you love to watch him and he also loves to have you watching him
you also slowly get introduced to the rest of his team
and when bambam is interrupted he’ll say something like
“i set you two up, you should thank me”
and jinyoung would hit the back of his head and tell you to ignore him
and everyone immediately starts to get closer with you
bc you make jungwoo happy
and that helps make everyone on the team happy
even tho jungwoo really only talks about you which annoys them lol
in all honesty you two are just a blushy, giggly, cute couple
and everyone is jealous of your relationship
Rock & Roll Mystery (Part One)
Tumblr media
Summary: Round 2 of Scooby-doo featuring Y/N.
Pairings: Dean x reader,  Fred x reader
Warnings: Based on the Scooby-Doo & KISS movie.
Word Count: 1700+
Disclaimer: I do not own Supernatural or Scooby-Doo. This is fanfiction only. Please do not redistribute my writings on other sites, horrible or not. Thanks!
“Guys, check this out.” Dean said as he walked into the kitchen of the bunker with a big goofy smile.
Y/N looked over at Sam from eating her cereal, raising a brow. Sam shrugged as he closed his laptop and got up to follow his brother to who knows where.
You sighed, getting up to follow after the two brothers yelling into the hallway. “This better be worth it Winchester! Those fruit loops ain’t going to eat themselves!”
Dean laughed a few paces ahead of her, “Don’t worry sweetheart, it’ll be worth it!”
“Welcome to the Batcave 2.0!” Dean exclaimed.
You popped your head in after both boys had walked in only to see a new and improved entertainment room. There was new lounge chairs, pointed out by Dean, and then a new television that had been propped up against the wall already. You walked over to one of the lounge chairs taking a seat. “Ooo...comfy.”
Dean walked over to your side, turning a lever on the chair which propped the bottom portion up, lifting your legs. He smirked as you snuggled into the chair. You wouldn’t admit it to Dean, but this chair made it slightly worth it as it was an upgrade from the last ones.
Dean continued to point out to Sam all the gadgets he had personally added, when a bright purple light consumed the room.
THUMP!
“Ow!” you expressed as you rubbed your bottom from an unexpected fall to a dirt ground after you had been sure you were just sitting on a chair. “What the hell was…” You stopped mid-sentence in disbelief of what you were seeing before you… everything was in cartoon form! “Uh, guys...I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore.”
“Ahhh! You’re a cartoon! I’m a cartoon!” Dean and Sam had seemed to realize at the same time as they spoke in unison. “Again!”
Y/N got up, dusting her clothes as she too looked at her cartoon hands and then at the boys. Surprisingly, you weren’t freaked out about this very supernatural experience instead, you thought it was actually kind of cool. You’d heard about the last time the boys entered the cartoon Scooby-Doo and you actually hoped it would be the same situation.
“How do you think this happened again?” Sam asked.
“I swear I didn’t get the television for free this time. I actually bought it. There was a Halloween sale.” Dean answered shrugging.
Sam gave his bitch face, “Right…a Halloween sale on a television, not candy.”
“Man, I hope I don’t have to destroy another tv.” The older Winchester muttered to himself.
“Hey look! It’s the Impala!” You yelled aloud interrupting Dean and Sam’s conversation.
“At least the car made it with us again.” Sam commented with a sigh.
Dean ran up to Baby, laying on the hood as if hugging it. “Thank you, cartoon gods.”
“So which cartoon do you think we’re in this time?” Sam asked walking over to the Impala.
“Who cares? Whatever cartoon world this is, we’ve got it handled.” Dean had stood back up as he flashed a cartoonish smile at Sam and Y/N.
You and Sam looked at each other exchanging a questionable look. You walked over to the Impala, getting into the backseat, “Let’s just do what we do best and drive to see if we can figure out where here is. Come on slowpokes!”
Dean couldn’t help but grin as he made his way over to Baby. “I couldn’t agree more!” Dean yelled as he got into the driver’s seat, Sam following behind.
The drive was pretty long. You all had passed by diners and through small towns, but nothing gave any hint as to what cartoon you three were in.
“Oh. my. God.” Dean was wide-eyed, turning everyone’s attention to what he had been looking at coming to a stop on the road.
“Oh no. Not again…” Sam groaned.
“The Mystery Machine!” You couldn’t believe what you were seeing and you couldn’t deny that things just got more fun for you if you thought you were in a certain cartoon you loved watching as a kid.
“Looks like we’re in one of the best cartoons.” Dean smiled.
“We’re in Scooby-Doo!” Both Sam and you said in unison. Your voice was filled with excitement while Sam’s sounded more concerned.
Yes! You exclaimed internally.
Dean could see the excitement radiate off of you. Hell, he was excited too. He wouldn’t admit it out loud with Sam around, but he was. He parked the Impala right next to the mystery machine.
You immediately got out of the car to check out the van. When you looked through the front windows, you didn’t see anybody there.
Dean had made it besides you, as he noticed the disappointment on your face.  He placed his hand on your back, gently rubbing it. “Hey, they have to be around here somewhere.” He tried reassuring you.
“Uh guys, was that always across the street from us?” Sam yelled over, getting out from the Impala.
Both you and Dean looked across the street and low and behold, there was an amusement park that magically appeared out of nowhere. At the entrance gates, there was a group you would recognize anywhere. It was the Scooby gang, but some were dressed as KISS band members. Your eyes sparkled in excitement.
Dean’s eyes sparkled as well, for a different reason. The amusement park was called KISS world, honoring the rock and roll band KISS. Today had also happened to be where KISS was to perform for Halloween at the amusement park.
“We definitely need to check this out.” You expressed with excitement as you found yourself skipping over to the Scooby gang.
“Wait! Y/N we should…” Sam reached out his hand as if he could stop you.
Dean placed a hand on his brother’s shoulder, “There’s no stopping her. So we might as well follow her.” The older Winchester followed after Y/N, almost skipping as well.
Sam groaned to himself, following after his brother and Y/N.
Reaching close distance to the Scooby gang, you overheard them discussing the idea of sneaking in since the guard in the front wouldn’t let them through. Daphne had seemed as motivated as ever to see KISS.
A mischievous grin spread across your face. Sneaking in was part of the hunting life. It would still be Easy Peasy. You popped your head out from behind Fred, whom the gang had all been facing. “Excuse me, I think I can help you all get in.”
All of the Scooby gang turned to face you. “Who are you?” Daphne asked, placing a hand on her hip.
“Names Y/N. Big fan of you guys but also an expert in sneaking into places.” You announced with a big smile on your face.
“What places do you sneak into exactly? Your profession wouldn’t be a robber, would it?” Daphne questioned, almost accusingly.  You hadn’t noticed, but Fred seemed to have grown heart eyes as he stared at you.
As you were about to answer Daphne, another voice interrupted. “She’s definitely not a robber. Think of her more as a detective. She’s the best around.” Dean disclosed as he came to stand beside you, winking over at you.
The Scooby gang gasped at his appearance.
You looked anywhere else besides Dean as you could feel your cheeks burning. You had a crush on the older Winchester since you two had first met, and damn his cartoon version for being as good looking as he was in 3D.
Luckily, another appearance took any eyes off of you while you regained your normal composure.
“Sam!” Velma’s glasses had turned into heart eyes for a second before she had made her way in front of the taller Winchester.
“Uh, hi Velma.” Sam smiled awkwardly.
“Hold on. You guys remember us?” Dean asked raising an eyebrow.
“Of course, Dean. Why wouldn’t we?” Daphne smiled at him.
Dean smirked.
Back to normal, you rolled your eyes. You were aware Daphne was one of Dean’s fantasies. Hearing that she remembered him must have made him feel overjoyed. The same way he made you feel from time to time when he complimented you, kind of like earlier when he called you the best around.
“Hi Y/N. We haven’t met yet. I’m Fred.” The ascot-wearing mystery solver introduced himself as he took your hand into his and kissed the top of it.
It surprised you, but it was a nice gesture that you rarely received from men.
Fred seemed to be admiring your beauty when two throats were cleared.  You turned and saw both Dean and Daphne with unhappy looks. Fred cleared his throat as well as he continued speaking. “That’s Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-doo.” He presented the rest of the gang.
“Awesome!” You exclaimed as you made your way over to Scooby. “Scooby snack to pet you?”
Scooby-doo quickly nodded his head, “Raa! Raa!”
Magically, you pulled out some Scooby snacks from your butt pocket as you tossed one into Scooby’s mouth. You missed the looks on Dean’s and Sam’s face as they looked at each other confused as to how and where you got the Scooby snacks from.
Scooby-Doo happily howled from getting the snack as he wagged his tail and then bent his head forward towards you.
You almost squealed as you began rubbing Scooby’s head, behind his ear, and then under his chin. Scooby-doo was just too adorable for you.
While you were preoccupied spoiling Scooby Doo with attention, Fred and Velma explained to Dean and Sam the situation they were in. Basically, everyone but Fred wanted to see KISS’s special concert at KISS WORLD till they heard about a witch scaring people away which caused the amusement park to close its door for the time being.
You had heard everything the gang was telling the boys. Eventually, Scooby-doo got called over. The gang went to their mystery machine and changed into their normal clothing.
Fred came straight over to you after. “So you’re an expert in sneaking in, right?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah.  I am.” You smiled, placing your hands on your hips proudly.
“You take the lead then and we’ll follow you in.” The ascot-wearing blonde held out one of his arm signaling you to go first as he smiled.
Dean and Daphne had their eyebrows creased together and a little bit of green shown as they watched Fred and Y/N’s interaction. Sam couldn’t help but snicker. He knew exactly why the two seemed to be frustrated. The younger Winchester couldn’t wait to see how this would all turn out for everyone.
To be or not to be cursed
Always alone.
_______________________________________
Magnus was proud of himself. The gym was so beautifully arranged, it certainly would be the most amazing prom NY Institute High has ever had. Being in the Student Council had its perks, one of them claiming beforehand the leadership of the Party Organization Committee. Alongside Maia, Lily, Clary, Simon, and Meliorn, they arranged the entire gym with all the beautiful flowers, colorful lights, pictures, masks. The playlist was carefully created and the food and drinks picked with the utmost delight.
The entire school only talked about the prom and everyone was excited. Teenagers rushed every day to invite partners with the hopes of getting the best date. This was something Magnus was pretty looking forward to. He was popular, had the good graces of most of the students and professors. Even other school’s staff members adored Magnus Bane.
However, until the prom eve, nobody asked him to be their date.
To say he was disappointed was an understatement.
Two days before, he even dared to take matters into his hands and bolded asked a boy from another class. He was rejected.
Then, he tried a girl from another year and got the same answer. Sometimes, when he turned and just looked at someone, they would run away.
He felt cursed.
“Why, darling? Having problems to get a date?” A feminine voice called and he trembled, feeling something terrible crawl under his skin. Camille.
“What do you want?” He growled, forcing himself to look at her. The same vicious lip-tint smile, predator eyes and six-inch heels that only existed to step onto someone.
She smiled dangerously and approached her ex-boyfriend, resting a well-manicured hand on his face. Magnus slapped it, backing slightly to keep a safe distance.
“Poor little thing,” her smirk only grew, unbashful, toxic. “I told you once. Nobody would ever date you. Bang you? Perhaps, you are a good sex toy. But date you? You are too much for anyone, Magnus Bane.”
Magnus clenched his jaw, using each drop of self-restraint to not show how her words still hurt him. He was almost sure he wasn’t doing a good job.
“You broke up with me, but in the end, you are going to come back to me. Because I’m the only one who can love you, darling.”
He wanted to throw up. Even a pure word like love sounded painful coming from Camille. He felt so dizzy, he barely noticed when she finally left him alone.
Always alone.
~*~
Soon, he found out the problem thanks to his best friends, Catarina and Ragnor. Camille threated the entire school – whoever tried to go to the prom with Magnus would know hell. Being one of the most popular of the school and coming from a very rich and influential family, nobody dared to go against her. There was a rumor that one freshman even went to the hospital after a mysterious food poison.
Sighing hopelessly, Magnus accepted that he would have to go alone to his last high school party.
Or not.
On the day of said party, before going home to take a bath and prepare himself, he went to the Student Council classroom to put back some props, when something caught his eyes. On the desk he usually used during meetings, there were a small jasmine flower and a card.
- Wanna be my date? Wait for me at 8PM?
A. L. -
Magnus’ hands trembled so much, the card fell. His head automatically snapped towards the main desk in the room. The desk of the tall, dark and handsome Council’s president. Alexander Lightwood.
For a long time, Magnus had a big crush on him, even attempted some flirtation, but he always thought it was unilateral. Moreover, he was sure Alec didn’t like parties, and a few days ago overheard him telling his brother Jace he wasn’t interested in the prom. Then… Why?
Maybe it was a prank? But… that calligraphy… it was Alexander’s.
He breathed deeply. Well, just one way to know.
~*~
At 8pm, his doorbell ringed. Slightly apprehensive, Magnus – who was already ready with a burgundy tuxedo, hair stylized with gold strikes and the most gorgeous combination of eyeliner and gold eye shadow – opened the front door.
For his surprise, and blissfully happiness, it was indeed Alexander. He was wearing a dark suit with a navy blue bowtie and was carrying a jasmine bouquet.
“Wow,” his jaw dropped a little bit as soon as he scanned Magnus from head to toe, and Magnus giggled, happier than before. “Er… I… You… This… You… For…” He babbled, confused, not knowing if he looked at Magnus or extended the bouquet for him.
Magnus decided to save the poor boy and took the bouquet. “Thank you, darling. They are beautiful, just like you.” He winked to Alec, not missing the shy smile with a glinting of something more in those mesmerizing hazel eyes.
“Yeah, hm. Let’s go, then?” Alec waved towards his car and Magnus nodded, feeling his heart becoming fuller by the minute.
~*~
“So, didn’t you hear about Camille’s threat or Alexander Lightwood is a man of dangerous adventures?” Magnus broke the comforting silence inside the car while Alec drove to their school.
“Eh… I heard about it, and I don’t really care about her. I have more important things to worry about than her pettiness.”
“Like what?”
“Your happiness,” Alec said without wasting any second, as if the answer was too obvious, an unbreakable truth.
Magnus Bane wasn’t one to blush, but he definitely felt his cheeks hotter than usual. His heart thumped so loud inside his chest, he almost asked Alec to turn on the radio to avoid being heard, if that was possible.
“I thought you didn’t like parties and wasn’t going to this one.”
“Yeah, I mean. My siblings would have dragged me anyway. I wanted to invite you as my date, but I figured out you would have a long queue of suitors waiting to go with you, and then I wouldn’t have the slightest chance. When I heard nobody had asked you, I thought it was some kind of lucky or someone above telling me I could have a chance after all. I took the opportunity and here we are.” Alec smiled so widely now, Magnus felt his heart would certainly break his ribs.
“Also,” he continued, unwavering. “Camille can’t hurt me. We just have a couple of months before finishing high school, and then everyone will go their separate ways. If I get lucky, I will be on the other side of the United States and she won’t get near me.”
“Oh, what university did you choose?”
~*~
When they arrived at NY Institute High, they were already immersed in a pleasuring conversation. Even if they’ve already known each other a bit thanks to the weekly Student Council meetings, they never had the chance to talk alone and to get to know the other better. They find out they shared a lot of common likings, even if their lifestyles were so different. They had a similar sense of humor and wits, and the best part: they applied to the same university.
Everything seemed perfect and both were smiling and laughing at the time they entered the gym, where the music was already playing and people were chatting and dancing.
Until a bucket with water and a lot of ice fell from above directly onto Alec. The music paused and a heavy silence filled the space.
Alec shivered from the cold and even coughed a bit. Magnus panicked, not knowing what to do first, but soon got himself together and took his handkerchief to at least dry Alec’s face.
“Well, well, well. What a pleasure. It seems we got your type, Magnus. A wet boy ready to be touched by you.” Camille teased, approaching them with a sly smile. Magnus glared at her but said nothing.
“You really are despicable,” Alec said instead, then turned to Magnus. “I’ll be back.”
And he was gone.
~*~
After the little show Camille presented, everyone resumed their own things. The music started again and the chats got louder. Magnus drank four entire glasses of fruit punch – which he was slightly sure someone had already dropped alcohol there – and sighed, upset. That was it. Alexander wasn’t going to come back and he lost him for good.
Damn Camille and her nightmarish existence.
He was really cursed.
“Hey.” A gentle voice called him, but the surprise almost made him drop his now empty glass. It was Alexander. He came back. “Sorry for taking so long. I had a problem with one of the buttons.” He frowned, wrinkling his nose. He was wearing a dark green button-up shirt and dark jeans, his hair a little bit damped. Still gorgeous. Very, very gorgeous.
“No, that’s… That’s okay.” I’m just happy you didn’t leave. Magnus thought, biting his lower lip. “But how…” He waved towards the new clothes, and Alec playfully grinned.
“Earlier, I brought this and put inside my locket. When I heard about Camille’s threat, my siblings and I sat for a whole hour discussing what she could probably do against me. Izzy suggested something with water and prompted me to leave here some spare clothes, just to be sure. That was the only suit I had, but if you’re okay having me like this, I’m okay too.”
“I’m more than okay.” Magnus grinned too, almost not believing in the existence of such a man. He prepared backup plans for Camille’s attack. What he did to deserve such a wonderful date?
“Right, c’mon then.” He offered his hand to Magnus and then guided him to the dance floor.
~*~
Camille tried some things to blow up Magnus and Alec’s night. Some of the things included hurting them physically and even trying to humiliate Alec, outing his sexuality for the entire school. Not that it was a secret, but he never went out there saying ‘Hello, I’m Alec and I’m gay.’ Only his friends knew it, and now all the school knew it. Each attempt against Alec made Magnus angrier at Camille and extremely worried that Alec would snap and think Magnus wasn’t worth all of that. After all, he was too much, right?
However, each time Alec would reassure him it was alright and he wasn’t going anywhere.
When the king and the queen of the night were announced, and to nobody’s surprise Camille being the queen, Magnus tried to pull Alec to outside so they wouldn’t have to watch that horror show. Alec, however, stopped Magnus and signaled for them to stay and watch the coronation.
As soon as the crown was put on Camille’s head, an almost imperceptible powder fell on her and she started to scratch all over her body. All the students started to laugh while she screamed and cursed everyone.
“You know… Izzy is still in the first year, but she wants to go to Med school and become a pathologist. One of her favorite hobbies is messing with some substances. Have I told you how she has a big pot of itching powder? I miiiight have entertained her the idea of using a little bit tonight.” Alec pretended to see something very interesting on the ceiling, trying not to laugh. “She even said that I am the best big brother in the world for letting her. Jace was really pissed.”
At that, Magnus laughed.
~*~
The prom wasn’t perfect as Magnus had expected with so many disastrous things happening, but somehow it was everything he needed. People had fun, so that’s that. Camille didn’t bother them for the rest of the night, but being part of the Party Organization Committee, he still had some responsibilities to supervise.
In the end, when everyone went home, the music stopped and the lights were all on, dissipating the prom’s magic, he still lingered a little bit behind to make sure there weren’t any major problems. The next day he would have to deal with the cleaning, but this was another issue and he didn’t want to think about that now. Not when his date was still there with him, checking something on his phone while waiting for Magnus.
“Everything is in order, Mr. President. We can go home now.” Magnus smiled sweetly, approaching Alec. He was gifted with another beaming smile from him, and for a moment Magnus thought his knees would finally give out.
“Actually, there is still one last thing we should do.”
“Oh? What is it?”
Alec didn’t waste time and after grabbing Magnus’ hand, pulled him towards the gym’s center.
“Would you give me the pleasure of one last dance, Mr. Bane?”
There wasn’t any music anymore, but they didn’t need one.
“Of course, Mr. President.” Magnus didn’t think twice and both engaged in a slow and sweet dance, the closest from each other as their bodies would let them.
Magnus didn’t know if it was possible to get happier. And maybe, maybe, fall a bit more in love with his tall and gorgeous date.
He also didn’t know how much time passed, but one minute their bodies were pressed, and in another, their lips were pressed.
They kissed tenderly.
Wistfully.
Hotly.
Desperately.
Magnus thought that yes, it was possible to fall more in love.
And that he wasn’t cursed after all.
Tumblr media
SERIES MASTERLIST - CHAPTER TWO
Summary: You’ve been hiding a crushing secret from your best friends (Well, one best friend and one sometimes-lover if you want to get technical about it). How will they react when they find out that the woman they grew up and hunted with for most of their lives, may only have a few months left to live?
Genre: Angst
Characters: Sam x Reader, Dean x Platonic!Reader* *For my Dean ladies: it may not be romantic between him and the reader, but it’s a very close brotherly/sisterly relationship and I still think y’all will really enjoy it :)
Words: 3277
Warnings: Cancer/chemo talk, swearing
A/N: I’ve only written one series prior to this. It was also a Sam x Reader, was 8 parts long just like this, and just like this it marked a huge milestone on my blog. The first chapter of “The One Moment” marked the 100th post I’d made... this marks the 300th :)
Your phone rang as you stared lazily out of the window. You knew you were lucky, not many of the other patients had this view; it certainly made the whole process seem a little less intimidating. Your heart nearly skipped a beat when you saw it was Sam who was calling, for good or bad you weren't sure. You and he had been together in the past, it was never anything serious because the life of a hunter would never allow that, but to say you didn’t have some semblance of feelings for him would be a big fat lie. You took a deep breath and accepted the call, holding your hand over the microphone in an attempt to shield the hospital sounds surrounding you.
“Hey Sam, been a while,” you told him, trying to sound casual. Thankfully you had only just started treatment 10 minutes prior so the vomiting hadn’t started yet, and your voice would definitely have betrayed you in that instance.
“Hey yourself Y/N, been good?” he replied; you could hear the smile in his voice which in turn had you grinning. You really had missed him.
“Can’t complain,” you lied. “How are you and bonehead going?”
“Hey, I resent that,” Dean’s voice protested in the background and you and Sam shared a laugh.
“He’s good, we both are.”
“So, what are you boys up to at the moment? Gimme all the goss,” you begged, reclining in your chair.
“Actually we’ve just finished a case and will be driving through Austin pretty soon to the next one, thought maybe we could stop by and say hi.”
You nearly dropped the phone as you bolted upright. Holding onto it tightly you quickly debated on the best way to handle this. No way were he and Dean going to find out about this, especially not in the middle of treatment.
“Y/N? You there?” he asked, concern filling his voice.
“Shit yer, sorry, I sat back and nearly dropped my phone. Um, now’s not really a good time,” you told him, scrambling to come up with a good excuse.
“Is everything ok? Are you in trouble?” he asked, jumping straight into protective mode. You forced out a laugh.
“It’s all good, I’m just not at home. Hitting a salt and burn a few states over unfortunately.”
“I thought you were having a break from hunting?” Dean asked you skeptically. Curse his big brother senses.
“Yer but this came up and, I dunno, I felt like scratching that itch or something,” you scrambled, picking at a loose thread on your jumper sleeve nervously. “Anyway I think I’ll be here another couple of days so we might have to try for next time. Sorry.”
“No no, it’s fine. Sorry to miss you, was looking forward to it,” Sam replied, sounding pretty beat up. God damn it Winchester!
A nurse started to approach and you realised you had to get off the call before they overheard her talking about your IV line.
“Anyway guys I better get going, it was really great talking to you. I’ll call you tomorrow perhaps?” you rushed.
“Oh, uh, yer sure. That’d be great. Talk soo-”
You had to cut him off, the nurse got too close and was about to open her mouth and blow your cover. You berated yourself for it, he probably thought you didn’t want to see them anymore, and you face palmed yourself and groaned in annoyance.
“Oh hun, is the nausea starting already?” the nurse asked you kindly.
“Yer, only it’s not the chemo this time.”
-----------------------------------------
“Did she just hang up on you?” Dean asked incredulously. Sam was looking at his phone, the call disconnected before he’d even managed to get his sentence out.
“Uh, yer, it would appear so.”
“What the hell did you do to her man?”
Sam held his hands up defensively. “I didn’t do anything! At least I don’t think I did. Things were good last time, we email and message while we’re on the road. I don’t understand what’s going on.”
An awkward silence filled the cabin while the boys each contemplated the exchange.
“Did she sound a little flat to you?” Dean asked, starting to grow concerned.
“I dunno, a little I guess. Maybe this hunt’s taken a lot out of her, it’s been a while.”
“Do you… Nah.”
“What?”
“Well, do you think she was on a hunt? Really? Maybe she’s just avoiding us.”
Sam gave Dean a look, before leaning over and grabbing his laptop from the back seat. Dean kept his eyes on the road while Sam brought up the GPS tracker and put your number in.
“Dude, really? We’re stalking her now? She’s gonna kill you if she finds out you did this, you know that right?”
Sam didn’t answer as he watched the program track your phone, his heart dropping when it landed on the one place he never expected it would.
“Dean, how far away are we from Austin?” he asked as he stared at the screen, his voice sounding a little dangerous.
“Uhhh, a couple of hours. Give or take. Why, is she there?”
“Yer she’s, uh, she’s at Cornerstone Hospital.”
--------------------------------------
3 hours later and you were finally done with your chemotherapy treatment for the day. You’d had a bout of nausea a little while ago but generally were starting to come good again. Knowing what happened last time though, you had about 45 minutes to get home before you could barely stand through the pain.
Waiting for the nurse to see you, you drummed your hands on the armrest while you looked around the room. A few people had come and gone in the time you’d been there, some having just a half-hour treatment. You were the youngest there you noticed, and you always got the pity-stare from the older patients when they walked in and saw you. So you kept to yourself… making friends with people at this stage in your life seemed relatively moot.
You were too busy reading a new poster on the wall to hear the heavy footsteps coming down the hall. You may have recognised them if you have been paying attention, you’d heard them on enough hunts in the past. A deep voice broke through your thoughts and turned your blood cold; if you hadn't still been connected to all the wires you might have tried to make a run for it. Instead you took a deep breath and turned to face the brothers. Neither had noticed you yet, their backs to you as they spoke to the nurse at the desk opposite. They were in their FBI gear which surprised you.
“Hello, we're looking for Y/N Y/L/N?” Dean asked in his professional voice.
Sam started looking around the room and before the nurse could point them in your direction, his eyes landed on yours. His jaw dropped as he took your frail form in, and before Dean could even turn around he was headed to you.
“Y/N, what the hell?” he cried, trying not to be too loud but he was obviously upset. Dean too came toward you, you don’t think you’d ever seen him look so worried before.
“Is everything ok here?” the nurse asked as she approached your chair, eyeing the men cautiously.
“Yer it’s all fine Tess, thanks for checking. Could we have a sec before you unhook me?” you asked her quietly. “I need to talk with my friends.”
She nodded with a warm smile and patted your knee gently before walking off to help another patient. You watched her leave, and sighed as you turned back to face the guys. Both were staring at you with mouths agape, and you rolled your eyes and gave a little huff of amusement.
“You guys wanna close your mouths? There’s a few flies buzzing around in here.”
“Don't joke Y/N, this isn't funny,” Dean scolded.
You hung your head. “You're right, I’m sorry. I don’t really know how to talk about this stuff.”
“How long has is been going on?” Sam asked, nearly in a whisper. The guy looked heartbroken, and you felt like dirt.
You rubbed your neck awkwardly, you knew they weren’t going to like the answer you had for them. “Umm, this is my second cycle of chemo.”
Sam tried to stay composed but your admission took him by surprise. “Wha- SECOND? You didn’t think to call me after the first? Why the hell haven't you said anything?” he whispered angrily, trying not to draw attention from the other patients. It was a futile effort though, there wasn’t much entertainment in the treatment room so all eyes were locked on the display.
“Sam please, not here,” you begged, tears starting to form in your eyes as you looked around.
“She's right Sammy,” Dean replied calmly, noticing the attention as well. “Let’s just get her home and we'll figure it all out then.” You let out a breath, thankful to Dean for taking control.
“Thank you. I have my car so I’ll just m-”
“Wait, you drove here?” Dean scolded loudly. Well, so much for having calm big brother on your side.
“Is there a problem with that?” you asked defensively.
“You barely look like you can walk Y/N, let alone drive. What are you thinking?” Dean chided, and your ears grew hot with anger.
“Excuse me?” you asked, your voice low and dangerous. He’d only heard you speak to one other person like that before and it was Crowley when he dared to called you “sweetcheeks”.
He sighed, realising he was out of line, and tried to back-pedal. “I just mean…”
“No, I know what you meant Dean. You know, just because I’m going through this doesn’t make me a damn invalid. And sure I’ve lost a little weight and my hair’s a bit thinner but hey, that’s what’s gonna happen when my body is being pumped with poisoned to kill the asshole tumour growing in my noggin. But none of that really matters because I’ll probably be dead in a few months time anyway.”
As the conversation had become more and more heated the nurse was quietly and graciously removing your IV, she could clearly see this conversation was uncomfortable for you and wanted you to have the option to remove yourself from it if need be. It was all you needed to get up off your chair and start walking out the door, leaving the brothers behind you.
“Go after her and I’ll call security,” you heard Tess warn, and if you hadn’t been pissed as fuck you would have smiled. You’d developed a good repore with her in the time you’d been in the hospital, and considered her your closest friend at this point in your life. No-one else knew about what you were going through, you had quit your job ages ago and were supporting yourself with your safely stored away inheritance. You were thankful to not hear heavy footsteps following after you, and headed quickly to your car to head home. You didn’t know if you’d have enough of a head start to beat them.
----------------------------------------------
You were panting by the time you reached your front door. The headache had started on the way home and the stress of what had just transpired with the brothers was becoming too much in your state. You grabbed your keys out of your bag but your eyes became blurry, and you leaned your forehead against the door frame as you rubbed the bridge of your nose. Staying where you were you looked down as you found the key you needed, and gently leaned over to put it into the door. The roar of the Impala came around the corner and you groaned… why couldn’t they just give you a little time to process? Bloody men!
To your annoyance the key wasn’t fitting in the lock and you threw your hands up in the air in frustration, your head still resting on the door frame. You heard them pull up to your sidewalk and quickly tried to find the key you needed, only to drop them on the ground.
“What the fuckity fuck!” you cried out loud, stomping your foot in frustration like a 5 year old. You gave up and slumped on the sun chair by your front door, holding your head in your hands with your elbows on your knees. The car doors slammed and you could hear them walking up the path to your front porch.
“Y/N?” Sam called out when he saw you, and when you made no move to greet them he and Dean quickly raced to your side. “Hey, Y/N, you OK?” he asked, brushing the hair behind your ear.
“Stupid fucking key wouldn’t go in the stupid fucking lock,” you told him bitterly, and you heard Dean pick them up.
“I see the brain tumour hasn’t dampened your potty mouth,” Dean told you wryly, and you lifted your head gently to look at him.
“Did you just joke about my cancer?” you asked him with a smirk. He cleared his throat, obviously uncomfortable with the mention of the C word, but he pushed through it and gave a tight smile.
“Do you need Sam’s help to get inside?”
“Um, I don’t think so. I think I’ll be ok, thanks,” you responded, giving Sam a smile as you stood. You screamed at yourself internally when your left knee buckled, and quick as a flash Sam’s arms were around you.
“Y/N?” he asked, sounding more scared than you liked to hear from him. You closed your eyes and nodded, swallowing thickly.
“I’m ok, just tired. Maybe I could use the help after all,” you admitted, not daring to meet his gaze. You were grateful when he didn’t swoop you into his arms, instead wrapping your arm over his shoulder and supporting you as you walked into your living room together. Dean grabbed your bag and put it on the floor by the door as he closed it, following you both.
Once Sam had you seated on the couch he took the spot next to you, Dean opting to lean against the wall instead.
“Do you need anything?” Sam asked, watching you carefully.
You shook your head. “I’m ok. You guys help yourself though, there’s some beer in the fridge I think.” When Dean’s jaw clenched you gave a small smile. “I keep it there for you guys, I’m not drinking I swear.”
He relaxed and nodded, crossing his arms over his chest letting the room fall into an uncomfortable silence. You found yourself picking at your sweater sleeve as you considered your next move.
“Thank you,” you told them quietly. “For not making me feel completely useless right now. I’m sorry I blew up at the hospital, that wasn’t fair.”
“No, you’re under a lot of stress, we get it,” Sam told you kindly, and you shook your head.
“You didn’t deserve that. What you did deserve to know was that I’m sick, and I’m sorry I didn’t tell you. I just didn’t know how, I tried so many times but it just wouldn’t come out.”
“It’s a, uh, brain tumour?” Dean asked, rubbing the back of his neck.
“Yer, found out about a couple of months ago I think. I dunno, the days are starting to run together a little bit.”
“What do the doctors say?” Sam asked, and you could hear the reluctance as he did. He didn’t want to know this anymore than you didn’t want to tell him. You sighed, and looked up to meet their gaze.
“It’s aggressive, growing fast and they can’t operate right now. They’re trying to slow it down and hopefully shrink it with chemo before looking at surgery as an option, but because of where it’s located and the speed that it’s growing they think there’s only a 5% chance they’ll be able to remove it before it… before it, ah…” you stumbled, clearing your throat as your eyes started to fill with tears. Shaking your head slightly, you swallowed down the massive lump in your throat before continuing. “I probably won’t make it, is basically what I’m trying to say.”
Silence filled the room, and you let it this time. You were beyond exhausted, the treatment and this conversation were draining the very last of your energy. Despite your best efforts your eyelids began to droop, you barely noticed when you started to slide toward the cushions. Gentle murmurs barely broke through your haze, and you couldn’t find the energy even to acknowledge the one of them who lifted you up bridal style and carried you up the stairs to your bedroom. The fluffy pillows and quilt enveloped you, and without ever opening your eyes you drifted off to sleep.
-----------------
Sam stood at your bedside, watching you sleep. He'd never seen you looking so vulnerable, and it was scaring the crap out of him. This wasn't a monster he could fight for you, not a battle he could try and win on your behalf. This was the one thing no hunter ever expected to die from, knowing it would simply be too cruel an irony to befall them. And yet here you were: half the size you used to be, pale as a ghost and so frail you could barely stand. He stayed watching you for a while, making an easy decision in the process. Regardless of what Dean thought, he wouldn't be leaving this house without you again.
“Hey, did she stay asleep?” Dean asked as Sam came down the stairs and through to the kitchen. He had cracked a couple of beers and was currently whipping up some pancakes, their first home cooked meal since the last time they were in your house 3 months ago.
“Yer. Um, Dean, we need to talk-”
“So I was thinking that Y/N might be better off in the downstairs bedroom,” Dean started, cutting Sam off. “If she wants to that is. Just makes sense with the chemo kicking her in the ass so bad. You could take the study next to her so one of us is nearby, and I could take her room. Or vice versa, I don’t mind. Oh, and I had a quick look and there's a job going at a garage a few blocks from here, figured I could go out after we ate something and see if they'll take me on. Thought you’d rather be home for Y/N to take her to appointments and such, so no need to find you a job. We can figure out the rest when she wakes up. Now, do you want strawberries or blueberries with your pancakes?”
As Dean turned around holding two plates of stacks he found Sam staring at him like he was possessed. Dean rolled his eyes and took the plates to the dining table, heading back to the fridge for the toppings leaving Sam to catch up.
“So… you want to stay?” Sam asked incredulously.
“Why is that so hard to believe?” Dean asked defensively as he sat down, quickly shoving a large bite of pancake into his mouth.
“I dunno,” Sam shrugged. “I guess I just wasn’t expecting you to go all apple pie life on me.”
“This is for Y/N. She's saved our lives more times than I can count, now it's our turn to save hers. She's family,” he said with finality, gently pushing Sam’s plate toward him and gesturing for him to sit down. Sam smiled broadly and did as requested, mentally planning out the new life they were making for themselves.
Could You Meet Me Beyond the Grave?—Chapter 1
(previously known as Willow!Virgil)
previous next (AO3 Link)
(oh thank god we’re actually starting the story now)
Summary: Virgil, Dee, Remy, and Emile meet Roman
Pairings: Eventual LAMP/CALM, Remile, QPR RED
Word Count: 1,551
Warnings: Shoplifting (more-so robbery but ya know), nervousness, death mentions, eye trauma mentions,Deceit, Virgil being an awkward boi
(anything else you need tagged, let me know)
I double-checked the sunglasses covering my eyes and the scarf covering my cheeks before running down the hall towards Remy and Emile's room. "Are you guys ready yet? We've been waiting for like an hour!" Emile giggled, and I heard his footsteps pad over to me. "Yeah, Remy's not getting up. I think he died again." I blinked, processing that for a moment.
"Did he use his sleeping gas on himself again?"
"Pretty sure."
"Oh for the love of—" I walked over to their bed and felt around for a moment, locating Remy's cold body and shoving him off onto the even colder, unforgiving floor. His yelp of surprise turned into a whine of pain in seconds. "Come on, Rem. We gotta restock, and we need you there." Remy groaned. "Lemme just say, that was not cool of you babe. Not cool at all." I nudged him with my foot, forcing him to roll away.
"Would you rather have me shock you?" I asked with a grin. That got him up.
"Fine, fine. I'm going. I'll meet you downstairs in a few, alright, babe?" I waited a few moments, making sure I heard him actually getting ready, before walking out and down the staircase. Dee smelled like he was waiting by the doorway. "Virgil, finally. Where are Emy and Rem?"
"Remy slept in and Emile let him." Dee took a deep breath. "I suppose we aren't really dealing with a time constraint for now." He spoke loud enough to be heard throughout the tower. One minute later, Remy and Emile were practically falling down the stairs. "Hey, Dee-Dee! Sorry we're late!" Emile said with a laugh.
"Yeah, it was all Virgey's fault, babe. You see he—" I tapped at Remy's arm, sending a light electrical current through him. "Choose your next words wisely, Sleeping Beauty." I could practically feel Remy's pout.
We walked down the street, sunglasses hiding our torn open eye sockets and scarves hiding mine and Dee's torn up cheeks, our canes leading the way to the store we often restocked (or rather, robbed) from. I heard Dee, Emile, and Remy begin a conversation, one that I could tell was meant solely for the three soulmates, so I reached into my pocket and pulled out some earbuds, hooking them up to my phone and using the text-to-speech to text my boyfriends. Dee had advised against me doing such a thing, worried that I might give away something about us, but after a bit of time, I had convinced him it was safe enough for me to talk to them.
The three of them had met on their own, and had expressed their desire to meet me in person. I had told them I wasn't ready yet, over and over. After a while, they moved in with each other, happily living together. While I was waiting for them to die. My fingers twitched just thinking about it. I hated it.
Logan sent some kind of grocery list in the group chat. Looks like they were going shopping, too. Except they had actual money to buy this stuff. And they were buying actual food, like any normal human would. Dee plucked out one of my earbuds. "Your soulmates are still human, I suppose?" I gulped.
"Yeah." He hesitated, before letting out a hum and saying, "Give it a bit more time."
We had reached the store, deciding to split off. Dee went with Emile, and I went with Remy. Once we were no longer able to smell or hear Dee, Remy grabbed me by the elbow and pulled me with him to some unknown location.
"Wha—Remy! Let go!"
"Calm down, Virgey! I just wanna get some perfume, then we can get the stuff Dee wants us to!" As we turned a corner into a new aisle, my nose wrinkled as it was assaulted by several different scents of flowers, vanilla, and cinnamon. "Ugh...Remy, why are you buying this shit? It's so...strong." Now I was relying solely on my cane and hearing, my nose completely out of commission. Remy snickered evilly.
"You wanna know why I like this? Cuz it confuses the living hell outta Deespacito over there. I wear some perfume, and he has no idea what's going on. He relies so much on his sense of smell, it's ridiculous." I heard a light clink of bottles hitting each other as Remy searched through them, trying to find one he might like. I huffed, walking down the aisle, running a hand across the bottles as I passed by.
"Hey, Rem? I'm gonna check out the next aisle." I heard a hum of disinterest, so I took that as a "go ahead". I turned the corner into the next aisle, and immediately collided harshly with someone. I heard a shatter of glass as the two of us fell, the scent of perfume growing even stronger. "Ow! Watch where you're going!" The stranger whined. I hissed in response.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll definitely look where I'm going next time. Oh, wait! There's one problem! Can your thick skull figure it out?" My panicking mind registered the fact that my scarf had slipped down below my nose. I quickly readjusted, hoping to whatever god was up there that no one saw the torn open skin. I felt the stranger studying me, before I heard him shift and say, "Wait...I'd know that voice anywhere." I gulped, taking in the smooth tone, the very slight British accent, and matching it to a certain human I had heard over the phone many times before. "R-Roman?" I screeched, my throat tightening. "Ah, Virgil, my love! It appears we have finally met!"
I started searching around for my cane, realizing I had likely flung it at Roman in a form of self-defense, before a hand grabbed mine. "Careful! The perfume bottle shattered everywhere. What do you need?"
"C-Cane." I mumbled out. I heard him shift, grabbing it and placing it gently in my hands. I held it to myself like a child holds their teddy bear. His eyes were on me again.
"Why are you all covered up like that? The sunglasses, I think I can understand. Logan's gone on rants explaining how some blind people are sensitive to light. But the scarf? It's like a million degrees out there! What is wrong with you?" I laughed awkwardly, answering, "A lot of things."
He shifted again, before I heard what sounded like him standing up. "Here. Allow me to help you up, Stormcloud. I'll pay for the broken bottle." I tentatively held my hand out, feeling his warm, lively hands wrap around my cold-as-death counterpart. It was such a strange feeling. The only warmth I ever got from people were from my victims, who would die soon after and begin to lose their warmth. I blinked rapidly, forcing myself not to compare Roman of all people to one of my victims.
"So...now that we're here together...why don't you come with me? I could take you to Logan and Patton, we could get some coffee and—" I heard three sets of footsteps walk down the aisle Remy had been in. "Virgil!" I flinched at the sound of Dee's voice. Him, Emile, and Remy came over, Dee's hand grabbing tightly onto mine. "This is one of your soulmates, I presume?"
"...Yeah." Dee sighed, tugging lightly on my arm. "I'm sorry, truly, I am. But we have to leave now. Isn't that right, Virgil?" I nodded.
"Yeah. M-Maybe some other time, Ro." After you've died. I smiled at Roman. "See you later, Princey." He hesitated.
"Alright. I understand." He spoke surprisingly quiet, before changing into his fake bravado. "Farewell, Virgil! I'll make sure to tell the others just how handsome you are!" I felt a smile directed back at me, a warm, yet empty feeling growing in my stomach. Dee led me down the aisle away from Roman.
"Sorry, Virge. I overheard you talking to that guy, and I realized he was your soulmate, so I got excited and told Dee and Em. Kinda forgot about the whole "human" thing." I hummed quietly.
"It's fine. I...didn't really wanna stay there, either. Too much of a risk."
We finished up our "shopping", stuffing things like a lighter, some instant coffee, knives, and other useful items into our backpacks, until Dee told us we were done. We ran out the door, security guards chasing us and one of the clerks calling the police. I grabbed the humans closer to us and sent a strong volt through each of them, while Remy took care of the ones farther away, sending blasts of knock-out gas out at them.
We reached the tower safely, Remy and I collapsing onto the couch while Emile and Dee took care of our supplies. It was silent for a moment, before Remy piped up, saying, "Well, at least if we see your soulmate again, you'll know it's him without even needing to hear him, right?" I was about to answer, when I realized:
I had never gotten a good fix on what his scent was. I was too caught up in the moment, and the perfume had masked anything strong.
The only thing I had learned from that experience was how nice it felt to touch a living human being.
Come up and see me (make me smile)
Mesopotamia, 3004 BC
Summary:  Mesopotamia, 3004 BC.
1690 words
AN: Couldn’t get this scene out of my head, it continues the role-reversal au started in Come up and see me (make me smile)
Thanks again to @mia-ugly for being being an amazing beta reader.
(read on ao3)
Crowley was in a horrible mood. He had spent the better part of the week arguing with his superiors, and all he had to show for it was a splitting headache and a reputation as a bleeding-heart humanitarian.
So, instead of wasting his breath, Crowley had chosen to channel his rage into protecting the eight measly lives he was permitted to save. This was the reason he was standing in the hot sun, in the midst of the crowd that had turned out to watch wild animals being wrangled by three absurdly unqualified men. A few feet from Crowley, he overheard a woman sniping to her husband, “It’s a miracle those idiots haven’t been mauled to death", and was sorely tempted to tell her just how right she was.
It was only a short while later, right when he was contemplating the morality of letting Shem get kicked by a giraffe, that Crowley felt a tap on his shoulder and turned (the wrong way first, sneaky bastard ) to see a familiar salt-and-pepper haired demon grinning cheerfully at his side.
“Crowley! I thought it was you! Those flaming locks of yours are quite distinctive,” he babbled excitedly, charming in a way that softened Crowley’s bad mood considerably.
“Hello, Aziraphale.” he said, trying very hard not to smile.
“I don’t suppose you know what all this is about?” Aziraphale asked. “Did upstairs request some sort of nautical menagerie?”
Crowley smirked.
“I’m sure I have no idea what you mean.”
“Please. I could sense the divine energy holding that thing together from a mile away.”
“I’d hardly be a decent angel if I went around divulging divine plans to my occult foe,” Crowley teased.
“Oh, don’t be so… prejudiced.”
“Prejudiced?”
“It means narrow-minded, discriminatory.” Azirphale informed him, smugly.
“I know what it m-”
“So what’s going on?” Aziraphale interrupted. “Why would you build it so far inland? Are you expecting a flood?”
“A flood?” (Crowley, who was painfully aware of how high his voice had just pitched, determinedly ignored Aziraphale’s raised eyebrow and sidelong glance.) “Of course not-  why would you- I mean- that would be an awful lot of rain- and the area is in a drought so- you know what- don’t you dare laugh at me!”
“ My dear, you’re very fetching when you’re flustered.”
(Fetching.)
Crowley had a horrible suspicion his face had turned as red as his hair.
(He thinks you’re f-)
“For the love of- demon, please go pester someone else.”
“Where would be the fun in that?” he replied cheekily, glancing from the boat to the surrounding crowds. His expression sobered.
“I hope you’ll forgive me asking, but that doesn’t seem like a very large boat,” he pursed his lips, “especially not with all those animals.” He turned to look at Crowley. “How many humans are you planning to squeeze in there?”
Crowley could feel his bad mood returning with a vengeance.
“All in all? Eight.” Crowley tried to keep his voice level.
“Eight? ”  Aziraphale repeated, in the dry tone of someone who had heard perfectly well the first time, but would prefer a different answer.
“Eight.” Crowley confirmed.
“ She’s going to drown everybody else ?”
“The other continents will be excluded, and most of this one, it’s really just the space enclosed by the two great rivers,” Crowley said flatly, repeating almost verbatim the answer he’d received from Gabriel. Aziraphale had gone pale.
“That’s- hundreds of settlements, thousands of people…” he trailed off as a group of children ran past them, giggling. He stared at Crowley with a horrified expression on his face.
Crowley nodded miserably.
“Oh Crowley.”  The unexpected sympathy in the demon’s voice felt like a gut-punch. Aziraphale reached out - perhaps to squeeze Crowley’s shoulder - but retracted his hand guiltily, when the angel flinched away from the offered comfort.
“It’s not like they asked me for my opinion. They didn’t even have the decency to tell me in person.” Crowley grit his teeth. “Gabriel sent a memo .”
“Crowley…”
“Oh, and get this, after it’s done, She’s going to promise not to do it again by refracting light through the leftover water in the atmosphere. Isn’t that nice? ” His tone was scathing now, he felt hot tears pooling in his eyes but he didn’t care. He was about to continue, really lay into some of the idiotic notions Gabriel had used to explain the affair, when he felt a tentative hand resting on his arm.
“I think,” Aziraphale said slowly - as if he were talking Crowley down from a cliff’s edge - “that you’re upset, and you need to choose your words very carefully.”
Crowley waved off the demon’s concern.
“We’re allowed to have doubts, as long as we’re good soldiers and follow orders. It’s only questioning Her outright that leads to trouble.”
“Is that so?” Aziraphale said, face blank. Crowley couldn’t look at him.
Instead they both watched the chaos together, silently observing as one of the unicorns escaped the containment area and made a break for it.
Crowley wondered if the ineffable plan anticipated the extinction of that species, or if it was just dumb luck.
“What if there were another boat?” Aziraphale asked out of nowhere.
Crowley scoffed.
“We’re in the middle of the desert. Who else would be building another boat?”
Aziraphale, who had been staring at Crowley expectantly, stayed silent.
Crowley frowned.
“You can’t.”
“Can’t miracle anything too big, no,” the demon mused. “Won’t be enough space for everyone obviously, but might do for a score of children, maybe even some adults.” He had a distant expression on his face, as though he were doing the arithmetic right then and there.
“Aziraphale. It’s out of the question.”
“Your opinion has been duly noted.”
“What if you get caught ?” Crowley asked, voice strained.
Aziraphale laughed bitterly, “I don’t see your lot down here getting their hands dirty,“ he said snidely. “A storm seems like an exceptionally passive aggresive method of genocide.”
Crowley would have agreed with that point, if he weren’t trying to talk the demon out of getting himself smote or worse.
“What about your lot? You think they’ll look favourably on an act of compassion?!”
“Compassion? I’m a demon, dear boy, thwarting the will of heaven is literally in the job description.” He smiled reassuringly at Crowley. “If they’re truly sinners we’ll get them in the end, and if they’re not, well at least we’ll have a chance at tempting them.” He shrugged. “Hell, I can even bring some teenagers on board, stock the boat with some fermented juice,  that’ll guarantee some licentiousness.”
Crowley could feel a headache coming on.
“Why are you telling me this?”
Aziraphale’s brow furrowed in confusion.
“I thought it might make you feel better?” he said, sounding very much like he thought it was obvious. “Surely you can’t want children to die?”
“I- that’s- not the point. God’s plans are ineff- oh, don’t smirk at me - so what am I supposed to do, just look the other way?”
“When the time comes you’ll be on the ark,” the demon said, matter-of-factly, “It gives you plausible deniability - even an angel can’t be everywhere at once.”
“You’ve really thought this through.” It could work, Crowley was shocked to find himself thinking.
“You needn’t sound so surprised.” Aziraphale replied, insulted.
Crowley laughed.
“To be fair, this is a bit of a leap from accidentally abetting original sin. I need a second to adjust.”
“You’re awfully snippy for an angel, dear.”
“Oh, shut up.”
“That reminds me, how did giving away your sword work out for you?“
Crowley bit his lip.
(When he’d been asked outright by the Almighty - Where is the sword I gave you, Crowliel - he’d caved immediately. Shame-faced he’d admitted what he’d done to protect the humans and, in lieu of punishment, he received the ethereal equivalent of having his hair ruffled. He had been sent on his way with the warm feeling of being hugged, and the sound of her gentle laughter warm in his chest.)
“Crowley?”
“Oh… I got the feeling She was amused by it,” he said, embarrassed.
“She must have a soft spot for you,” Aziraphale said, in a tone that was difficult to read. He looked away. “How long is the flood meant to last anyway?”
“Once the storm starts? Forty days and forty nights.”
“Hmm. Heaven does like their nice tidy numbers don’t they.” Crowley wasn’t sure how to respond to that. Aziraphale gave him an apologetic smile. “I should probably get going. Heavenly plans to thwart, no rest for the wicked and so on.”
“Ah, yes,” Crowley responded, dumbly. A little surprised (but definitely not hurt) by the abrupt transition. He wasn’t sure why he wanted to delay the demon’s departure, but when Aziraphale turned to leave, Crowley found himself speaking up.
“Maybe I’ll see you around afterwards then?” he asked.
Aziraphale’s yellow eyes lit up. Suddenly nervous, Crowley back-pedaled, “I’ll have to er- try and salvage all those souls you’ve damned.”
Aziraphale studied his face, giving Crowley a scrutinizing look that slowly morphed into a bemused expression.
“You’re welcome to give it your best shot, angel,” he replied with a grin.
Before Crowley could snark back the demon had vanished.
It was funny, Crowley thought, that the demon had been the one to come up with a way to save people. That he could even be bothered to try.
(“Be funny if we both got it wrong eh? If I did the bad thing and you did the good one?” )
Above him the sky was growing dark with approaching storm clouds. The first drops of rain had started to fall and a sharp, loud, crack of thunder rang out.
Crowley cringed.
On second thought, it wasn’t very funny at all.
Diakko highschool AU maybe?
(but isn’t it already a…?
in any case! Here’s a diakko high school au! Diana may be the popular girl at school, but unfortunately for her, she’s ended up head over heels for a certain someone at the exact opposite end of the bell curve…
1700 words, so it’s a bit long, but that’s because I was having fun with it, sorry~ ^ ^;)
Diana was what people would call the popular girl.
Student Council president, top of the class, head of theDance Squad, and she was perhaps the prettiest in school to boot, or so that’s whatpeople told her. Boys who were unaware of things often tried to ask her out, orat the very least sit with her and hope she looked their way. Every time shewould respectfully decline, which seemed to just add to her reputation as an unattainable beauty.
Akko was a new transfer student here at school. She was continuously almostbeing kicked out of the lacrosse team because she couldn’t keep her grades up,and when she wasn’t getting into very loud, fiery conversations with herteammates, she was usually getting into trouble with teachers. Last week, Diana watched ahalf-asleep Akko walk face first into a doorframe.
And Diana had noidea how to talk to this girl without feeling like a complete moron, because god, she had it bad.
How did she let it get this out of control? She really couldn’t say.
The first time Diana saw Akko, she was walking home with fellowclub members Hannah and Barbara, and they all stopped when they saw a short Asiangirl up in a tree, tangled in tree branches. And they watched, slack jawed, asthe branch broke from under her and she came tumbling down hard to the grass.
In her arms was a small black cat. In a show of gratitude toits rescuer, it clawed at Akko’s hands and took off running back home. Akkotook a moment to suck on her bleeding pinky before she finally noticed the threeof them looking down at her on the ground.
“Hi there!” She said, still on the ground. “I’m Kagari Atsuko, but everyone just callsme Akko. What’s up?”
Hannah and Barbara laughed at her, and Akko grumbled, simplystanding up and rubbing the dirt off her sleeves, watching the cat’s rapidly retreatingtail.
Diana’s heart started pounding, for some reason.
Some time later, Akko had talked back to Finnelan and landedherself an after school detention. Diana had found her alone in the classroom,not cleaning like she was supposed to. She took no notice of Diana there, becauseAkko was too singing along to an anime theme song playing through herheadphones and dancing with her mop like it was a microphone.
Diana spent all night thinking about it.
And then soon after, Diana absently looked over in Mathclass, and spent a good five minutes staring as Akko glued plastic gemstonesto her lacrosse stick in the shape of the Big Dipper. By that point, through nochoice of her own, Diana was definitelyvery interested.
Because Akko had a very cute face, not to mention such a passion in her voice, and a swagger inher step, and one would think a student in the running for some of the most prestigiousscholarships in the country wouldn’t be so stupidly useless, but here Diana was,her standards dropping like an elevator with its cables cut.
She spent a good portion of Mrs. Lukić’s science classtrying to keep her attention on the slides, and not the opposite table whereAkko was doodling in her notebook. To the point where she almost didn’t evenhear Mrs. Lukić’s announcement.
“Why don’t you all get with a partner and work through someof the problems on the board?”
Most students simply immediately went with the same friendsthey always did. Frank looked in Diana’s direction hopefully, as did Hannah andBarbara who sought to make a group of three, but Diana only had eyes for oneperson.
“So.” Diana said, standing over table. “You don’t appear tohave a partner at the moment. Allow me to help you.”
“Partner?” Akko looked up from her notebook and cocked herhead. “Wait, we’re doing group stuff?”
“You should really pay better attention. It would be problematicif you failed, especially in regard to your games, would it not?”
Akko huffed. “I don’t need you to tell me that. I can keepmy grades up just fine on my own!”
“I was not saying you couldn’t. But in any case, the teacherintends for us to work in pairs for this assignment, so…”
Akko shoved her things to the side of the table to give Dianaa place to set her own notebook down, and the blonde gracefully took her seat.She looked calm and serene, which was surprising given the frantic thoughts runningthrough her head.
It didn’t surprise either of them how begrudgingly Akko wentthrough the questions, with Diana mostly just trying to convince her of the valueof hard work as an extant concept. In about five minutes, the most they hadmanaged to accomplish was putting both their names down on top of the paper.
“I just don’t get why teachers like to cram us with allthese little assignments…” Akko said, twirling her pencil around. “I mean, sheprobably won’t even check this at the end, so it’s a little pointless, isn’tit?”
“They’re not pointless.It’s important to have practice with these concepts if you’re going to understandthem for the exams.”
“Yeah, but her instructions make no sense anyway. What even is this stupid equation she wants us todo? Like it’s all these weird G’s and x’s…how do you keep these straight?”
Diana glanced down at Akko’s notebook. Interspersed throughall the cutesy doodles, Akko had made an attemptto copy down the equations Lukić wrote on the board. Though not all of them, andwith one of the most crucial ones, she had simply stopped halfway through.
“Take this one for example, Akko.” She gestured to it. “It’sover r squared, not just over r.”
“What? But she said…”
“Here, if think of it more like this, it should make iteasier to follow.”
What happened next was mostly Diana’s fault. She neverreally did group projects, so shewasn’t even thinking when she started writing in her notebook in front of herwithout moving it. She actually had caught herself and was about to tilt thepage so Akko could actually see what she was doing, but Akko had already leanedover, unintentionally pressing their shoulders together.
(Diana’s heart was pounding again. Mother would be ashamedif she knew how weak her baby girl had become…)
“Oohhh! Is that how you’re supposed to do it?” Akko asked, eithernot noticing or not caring that she was all but leaning atop of the other girl.“That’s not how they taught it at my last school. Weird.”
“It…” Diana nodded. “I suppose I can imagine some of the…erm,letters and such and such might change depending on the…the language. That’s whyit’s important to practice, after all.”
“Yeah, but you did a better job explaining it than Mrs. Lukićdid. I guess I’ll have to remember this way for later then. Thanks.”
Akko took her notebook for a moment so she could copy downthe explanation into her own notes, and she quickly flashed Diana a gratefulsmile as she settled back into her own seat.
(oh god, her hair smelled really nice.)
“Think nothing of it,” is what Diana said at last. “…So.Aside from this, how have you been…adjusting to the new school?”
Akko simply shrugged. “It’s okay, I guess. I miss my oldfriends, but I met a lot of nice people here already, so it’s not so bad. Yourguys’ lacrosse team is a lot better than my old one at least!”
“You enjoy lacrosse then?” And what a shockingly goodquestion to ask her that was, because obviously she carried the stick aroundjust for fun.
But thankfully, Akko leapt at the chance to talk. “It’s the greatestsport there is! We’re totally gonna be going to nationals soon, I’m sure of it!I’m gonna be the best player on the entire team before the end of the year.”
“That’s…a lofty goal. But it’s good to set your sights high.After all, you don’t get the things you dream of, you get the things you workfor.”
Akko gasped excitedly at the lyric. “Oh my gosh, do you listento Chariot’s albums too?!”
“I’ve…overheard a song or two, yes. I just thought it seemedrelevant to the conversation.”
Akko laughed out loud. “You know, you’re a nicer person thanI thought, Diana! We should do more group stuff together some time!”
“Oh, that would be nice. I’d really like to spend more timegetting to know you better.”
“Really…?” Akko looked at her curiously.
Diana clamped her mouth shut. The calm expression she tried to take was betrayed by the visiblyhot blush spreading across her features.
No, she couldn’t lose her calm here. Friends could want toget to know each other better too, after all. Right? And every second she sather staring silently at Akko made her look more guilty. All she needed to dowas calmly explain what she meant in that context.
“I-”
“5 more minutes!” Lukić called out. “I expect you all to haveeverything answered…”
Akko quickly snapped back to her. “Oh shoot, we gotta finishour assignment, right?”
“Right. Right, the assignment.”
Diana picked up her pencil and set to work, and after a moment,Akko tossed Diana’s notebook back with the rest of Diana’s stuff, and set to helpingher finish.
Fortunately, they managed to finish all the questions intime.
After the assignments were collected, everyone returned totheir seats. And as for Diana, she spent much of the remainder of class stewingin her own gay frustration. She must have run through the entire conversationin her head 5 times a minute, picking apart every stupid thing she said. Shewas supposed to be good at speech,how did she do so bad at talking to one person? Akko must think she’s an idiotnow.
Lukić told them to remember to bring their textbooks fornext class, and Diana moved to write it in her notebook. But she paused, lookingat the top margin.
That note written there…that definitely was not her handwriting.She looked at the note more closely. It read;
‘got a game Friday at4pm!! you should come cheer me on! :3
Akko ♪’
Diana could not stop the grin from taking over her face. Hannahand Barbara would never understand the intensity in which she stared at thescribble at the top of the page.
She spent the rest the night trying to lay the perfectoutfit out for Friday.
Can you please do some headcanons on how the DR2 cast would land themselves in detention? It’s for comedy.
This one took a long time, I hope you enjoy! It was super fun to write.
How The SDR2 Cast Would Get Detention!
Hajime Hinata
He is a good student who rarely gets in trouble. When hedoes, it’s for pretty minor things. With that said, he also rarely loses his temper.
Hajime was good friends with Chiaki but their relationship started to causequestions to arise within the other Reserve Course students.
Rumors were spreading that he was using her to sneak into the Ultimate program.This really got under Hajime’s skin but what could he do to stop it? Pretty soon, everyone was giving him the cold shoulder.
He overheard two of the other Reserve students snickering as he walked by andhe just lost it.
“What?” The other two boys, whom he has never seen before, stare at Hajime withsmug grins. “Take that back, now.”
His eyes were flashing with red. Hajime doesn’t get angry easily but he’lldefend his friends if he needs to, putting their interest above his own.
“Admit it, you’re using that girl… what’s her name, Chiaki?”
In a fit of blind rage, Hajime slips his shirt off and storms up to the otherstudents, shirtless and getting in their face. “I said take it back!”
You’d think that the half-nudity would be enough. When the teachers finallycame to their aide, breaking up a potential fight before it could happen, theyslapped a detention slip into Hajime’s hands.
Staring down at the small paper slip, it read that he was getting detention for a Dress Code Violation.
He assumed that it was because he took off his shirt and tried punching thesmug little kids, but… no, not entirely. Once he stomped down to the detentionroom, the proctor welcomed him and examined the slip.
He’s a pretty calm, collected kid with a good head on his shoulders so his reaction to the rumors caused him to feel embarrassed. Plus, some of the adults got on him for interacting with the Ultimate students already.
“Oh, so you’re the kid who was exposing his shoulders, huh?”
Hajime, puzzled, looks at the man. “My… shoulders?”
Chiaki Nanami
Sleeping in class is a given, but she just can’t help it.It’s something she’s gotten in trouble for in the past but has since slippedby. The adults started to accept it since she’s a good student, regardless of sleeping so much.
Ever since she became Class Representative, though, the teachers haven’t beenso lenient towards Chiaki.
She is the Ultimate Gamer so bringing her video games to class is not out of the ordinary andsomething that most people don’t mind, at least not until it becomes adistraction.
The rest of her class were slowly beginning to huddle around her as she played,her fingers dancing along the controller and her eyes were glued to the screen.Chiaki completely zoned out everything Chisa was saying.
More than once, she tried getting the Gamer’s attention and eventually shesnapped. “Everyone, get away from Chiaki right now! Pay attention.”
But not even that could bring her back to reality. The faint sounds of her gamein the background still playing, she stormed up to the small girl.
Chisa, as politely as possible, grabbed the system out of her hands and placedit behind her back. It caused her to lose the Level and, being newly sleep-deprivedand overly-invested in the game, Chiaki let her tongue slip.
“What the fuck… come at me bro.”
Her expression was still blank but the comment wasn’t very highly appreciated,seen more as a threat.
Chisa sent her directly to detention and the rest of her class watched, astonished, as their Representative became one of the ‘bad kids’ even for just a day.
What can she say? She really loves her games.
Nagito Komaeda
Knowing Nagito, he’d do something that ends up goinghorribly wrong.
He just wanted to plan out a surprise for his class, baking them sweet treatswith the help of Teruteru. Nagito had good intentions but his luck isn’t veryreliable.
He also decided to slip into Seiko’s lab and ask her for some vitamins to makethem taste better, not really believing in his baking skills. He left Teruteru alone with the sweets, giving him an ampleopportunity to slip some unwanted Aphrodisiacs into the food.
Nagito also grabbed the wrong bottle without looking, accidentally swiping someLaxatives instead.
But he was so proud of what he’d made, he had to share it with everyone! Hemade sure to stop by the Teacher’s Lounge and the Headmaster’s Office as wellsince he had more leftovers than expected.
And he didn’t want to eat his own baked goods since that’s just not respectful;it wasn’t meant for him but for his friends instead. So, Nagito didn’t get a chance to taste-test the food beforehand.
Well, those good intentions went out the window. Teruteru didn’t know about the Laxatives, and Nagito didn’t know about the Aphrodisiacs, which is a killercombination.
It was bad enough that his entire class and Chisa had consumed the foodcontaining the two, but to make matters worse, so did the higher-up staffmembers, including Headmaster Jin. For the entire day, those who ate it were in and out of the bathroomand stumbling all over one another in the process, heated and intimate… to put it lightly. Nagitodidn’t really understand, was it that good?
He’d only realized he took the wrong bottle when it was too late, and Teruteruconfessed to slipping in the extra drug while in his… hot state. But Nagito gotblamed for it all and ultimately sentenced to detention.
“Damn, just my luck!”
Ibuki Mioda
She’s definitely a firecracker but Ibuki doesn’t have evilintentions, so she’d do something without really intending to.
Ibuki would be in the Music Room, practicing and writing songs as she always did. Shehas the tendency to skip classes to have her own personal concert instead.
Her signature flame guitar would have some part in it.
It didn’t take the staff very long to find her holed up in the MusicRoom, the loud heavy metal blaring from inside was a dead giveaway.
Knocking on the door,they call for her name with no response, it was too loud and the musician couldn’t hear them.
The door swings open to find Ibuki completely lost in the music. So much so,that when she finally notices the cluster of adults standing in the doorway sheturns quickly to give them a good view of the show.
Unfortunately, she completely forgot about the flames shooting out from herguitar which lit the front of the room on fire, knocking over some rather expensive equipment in the process.
The entire school had to be evacuated immediately, students and teachers alikerushing through the doors for their lives. The Fire Department also had to becalled, which lead Ibuki to explain how she started the fire that nearly burneddown the entirety of Hope’s Peak Academy.
She can’t help herself from giggling and got sent to detention for a ‘Terroristic Act Against the School.’
Hey, she thought that sounded pretty cool! Maybe she’ll name a song after that.
Gundham Tanaka
Being the Ultimate Animal Breeder, everyone is well-aware ofhis love for and ownership of all kinds of species. Hope’s Peak does allow Service Animals and gives specialprivileges to those with animal-related talents.
Which is why he’s able to bring his hamsters, or Four Dark Devas of Destruction, with him eachday.
Here and there, he’ll bring another one of his various pets as well. He’sbrought a couple cats on some days, and during others he’s brought one of his smalldogs. Gundham has walked into class with a bird perched on his shoulder before,too. You never know what he’ll bring to class.
But there’s still a line that even he can’t cross.
And everyone knows that Gundham has pets that he probably shouldn’t, but that’s whyhe’s an Ultimate after all!
His hamsters are never a disturbance and everyone has come to know and lovethem. Cats, dogs, and birds aren’t too much of a hassle as long as he keeps upwith them.
It’s not until he tries sneaking bigger animals in that there’s an issue.
The first strike was his ball-python which isn’t venomous, but some of theother students with less experience around snakes were still a little bitfrightened. It stayed curled around his neck all day, hidden in his scarf.
He jumped straight to strike three when he walked up to the front door with a full-grown Tiger on a leash. Juzo stopped him immediately and forbade him fromentering the building.
“What do you mortals know about the beauty of this feline?! She will pouncebefore you even know what is happening! Do not mess with me!”
Though he claims that she was domesticated, his… threats weren’t appreciated.So he and his Tiger spent the day in detention.
Mikan Tsumiki
The poor thing doesn’t try to end up in the compromisingpositions… it just kind of, happens. She can’t help that she’s clumsy!
By now, everyone in her class is pretty used to it. The same doesn’t go for theother Ultimates in different classes or the Reserves, though.
She’d be late to class one day; Mikan is already an emotional wreck. She’scrying and rushing through the hallway because she was already going to beembarrassed enough having to walk into class after it started.
Mikan is pushing past the others in the hall politely, apologizing the entiretime when she just… trips. Her foot catches on the opposite ankle and she goescollapsing, falling forward.
She’d fall on top of a few innocent students with her legs slightly spread,back arched a bit, skirt accidentally flipping up, and wrists falling above herhead. The student that she fell on was a complete stranger, someone she’dnever seen before nevertheless had a conversation with.
“Oh God, I’m sorry! I’m so very sorry!”
Both of their faces are bright red now and she erupts into a fit of tears.
Though she didn’t intend on falling or ending up in this predicament, theteacher that had been standing just outside of her classroom while the studentsfiled in witnessed it happen and immediately was at a loss for words.
“You, miss!” She exclaims while storming towards Mikan. “Explain yourself!”
“I-It’s not what it looks like~!” Mikan pleas but the teacher is having none ofit. She got sent straight to detention for sexual advances on another student,PDA, and indecent public exposure.
She’d walk into detention in a fit of tears because she didn’t mean to!
Kazuichi Souda
He may be a Mechanic but Kazuichi is quite skilled in manyaspects of technology as a whole. He doesn’t just have to work on cars,airplanes, and so on but he is also handy with your everyday laptop as well.
Kazuichi’s sense of humor is fairly peculiar.
He’ll do things for his own amusement even if no one asks him to and if youever dare him to do something, he’ll complete it without a doubt.
One day, he got the bright idea to pull a little prank on Chisa. He knew thattheir class was going to watch a film about the history of Hope’s Peak Academy thatafternoon and decided to have a little fun with it.
Kazuichi got to class earlier than the rest of his peers, whilst Chisa wasrunning errands for Munakata, and rewired her laptop.
His mind was racing with ideas when he finally settled on the perfect video toreplace the film with.
He was able to set it up so that he could control the video with a remotecontrol at his own disposal. Unfortunately, Chisa was in a rather hostile moodthat day and wasn’t feeling like dealing with Kazuichi’s shenanigans.
In the middle of the film, he switched the button and it started playing noneother than the classic Rick Roll, ‘Never Gonna Give You Up.’
His classmates were dead silent for a moment, all wide-eyed and trying toprocess what they were looking at – of course he had to Rick Roll his wholeclass.
Kazuichi couldn’t hold back his amusement, his smile twisting widely andbursting into a fit of loud laughter. Chisa immediately knew that this had tobe his doing.
He got sent to detention for the rest of the day, but if you ask him – it wascompletely worth it.
Peko Pekoyama
Meditating was her go-to form of de-stressing. It’s where shecould be found during most of the day.
As the Ultimate Swordswoman, her sword was never too far from her side. Pekohad locked herself in the quiet room for hours so she could melt away fromreality for a while.
Her peace was disrupted once the doors swung open and her eyes darted over hershoulder.
Peko’s intensely quick reflexes were nearly the death of Hope’s Peak’scustodian, as she launched her sword over her shoulder blindly, not bothering to look and see whowas there, and snipping the ends of the custodian’s hair in the process.
The blade was stuck in the wall, mere inches from their face as their eyeswidened. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know anyone was in here!”
Despite being known as the Ultimate Swordswoman, even Peko can’t go aroundtossing swords at people’s faces with no repercussions.
She was sent to the Office immediately where she showed absolutely no remorse.
“They shouldn’t have sneaked up on a meditating trained killer – that’s how youend up with a sword in your neck.”
The adults in the room tried to explain to her why that isn’t socially acceptable,in which Peko calmly responded with, “Do you want to find out why I’m anUltimate?”
Done with her shit, they sent her to detention and she put up a bit of a fight. Peko didn’t understand what the big deal was. She wasn’t trying to violently threaten the staff, that’s just the way they took it!
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu
He’s got a big mouth which is something no one candeny, not even Fuyuhiko himself.
It just comes with the attitude and pressure that the Yakuza has on his plate, and a bit ofa superiority complex as well.
He didn’t fully respect a lot of the adults he was surrounded by which lead toa lot of conflict. Typically speaking, though, the adults understand due to hisbackground and don’t tend to mess with him since he is a Kuzuryuu after all.
They just treated him like a little kid, and he’s not a fuckin’ little kid!
They had a substitute teacher one day who wasn’t completely aware of their talents andbegan to push Fuyuhiko’s buttons. Had she known he was a Yakuza, she wouldn’t have dared touch him with a ten-foot pole.
There were several ways that the situation could’ve been avoided.
But he snapped and stood on his desk, veins protruding from his neck and forehead. “Do you knowwho the fuck I am? I could have your head on my desk by the end of the day!”
Fuyuhiko has a fairly colorful way of speaking as well and he didn’t stopthere. Once the substitute demanded that he got down from the desk, he took itone step further.
“Leave me alone, lady! Or I’ll rip out your small intestine through your mouth,your large intestine out through your ass, and use them as a fuckingjump-rope!”
She stared at the Yakuza in complete shock. Once he finally calmed down andrealized what was said, he broke a sweat and shrugged.
He didn’t care if he got sent to detention, she shouldn’t have been bugging him!
Sonia Nevermind
She’s pretty new to Hope’s Peak and their school system, it’scompletely different than the one in her home country.
With that said, Sonia had never gotten detention before in her life. Even aftertransferring, she was convinced that she couldn’t possibly get detention. The thought never crossed her mind.
Failing to realize that her status as a Princess doesn’t carry as much weighthere, she feels untouchable. Despite that, she’s a fairly well-behaved studentanyway.
Sonia can be a bit bossy, though. When Chisa had to step out to take care ofpersonal matters, she assumed that her leadership-abilities could come in handyand took the responsibility of ‘teaching the class’ which was more likecommanding them to doing as she pleased.
Most of them somewhat listened, although Hiyoko, Peko, and Fuyuhiko weren’tgoing to let her boss them around; meanwhile, Kazuichi happily obliged.
Chisa came back into the classroom to find Sonia lounging out in her chair withboth Kazuichi and Gundham tending to massaging her legs and ankles,competitively as they were each trying to impress the Princess. She had otherstudents bringing her tea and had self-proclaimed herself as the new leader oftheir class.
That’s not something she can just get away with so she had to be put in herplace, sent to detention at the end of the day. Sonia wasn’t going to gowillingly, though.
A bit air-headed, she blinks at Chisa, perplexed. “Youcan’t send me to detention, I am a Princess!” That really didn’t help her caseat all.
Nekomaru Nidai
He takes his talent a bit too seriously, even turningtowards his own friends to try to get them in the best shape possible.
Nekomaru has good motives behind this but he doesn’t necessarily know when tostop.
Jin and the other staff members were taking a relaxing stroll around campuswhen they stumble across the Team Manager huddled over a group of scrawnyReserve Course boys.
“You have to pick it up!” Lightning was emerging from his eyes as he screams atthe boys, coming across as more bossy and threatening than motivating. “You’llnever get to be as strong as I am like that! Come on!”
The adults approach him and put an end to his… motivating ‘group exercise.’ Heinsisted that the boys came to him for help, knowing he was the Ultimate Team Manager.
But the three small boys were now collapsed, passed out from exhaustion on thegrass. They can’t really have their students destroying one another.
Nekomaru may have wanted to help but pushed them entirely too far. As he wastrying to explain himself, his ‘urges’ suddenly came over him and he succumbedto the pressure.
He tells them he had to go, but Jin forces the Ultimate to stay right there.This caused Nekomaru to snap at the older man.
“Move or else! I have to shit!” He basically shoves him out of the way as hesprints for the nearest bathroom. Needless to say, the adults didn’t appreciatehim shoving his own Headmaster to the ground like that, almost injuring the man.
The two situations combined landed Nekomaru in detention for about a week.
Mahiru Koizumi
Mahiru wouldn’t even do anything that bad, she would justget caught in the middle or end up getting blamed for something out of hercontrol.
After all, the last thing she wants to do is jeopardize her placement in Hope’sPeak Academy.
But even she isn’t immune to the pranks from fellow students. Her friendshipwith Sato puts her in danger of being targeted by one of the jealous and immature students in the Reserves Course.
Some of the boys in Sato’s class sneak in fake nude photographs while neitherof the girls are looking. Mahiru leaves and goes about her merry way for therest of the day.
While leaving her class that afternoon, she stumbles over her ankle and dropsher bag onto the floor; her books, camera, and photos come tumbling out withit.
Of course, so do the fake ones that were slipped into her bag.
Chisa is helping her collect her items when she notices the fake photographs.They were ‘depictions’ of not only Mahiru herself but also some of the boys inher class.
“What is the meaning of this?” She holds them up to the freckled-facephotographer’s gaze and Mahiru’s expression twists into a confused and angrylook.
She is stuttering and snatches them from her hand, examining them for herself.“These weren’t here this morning! Y-you have to believe me, this isn’t mine!”
“Is this you?” She questions and Mahiru is bright red, a complete mess.Although she was telling the truth and truly didn’t know where they came from,Chisa wasn’t buying it.
She got sent to the Office with the incriminating photos in hand and ultimatelyfaced detention for the first time in her life.
Teruteru Hanamura
Anyone that knows this boy knows that it’s pretty hard forhim to keep it in his pants. Teruteru is a very flirty and adventures person with very little shame. It’s hard toembarrass him and when it comes to attractive people, especially women, he’sgot little to no filter.
He’d land himself in detention by flirting with the wrong person at the wrongtime.
Teruteru is walking down the hall one morning when he spots a new face, someonehe’s never seen before.
Granted, he should have assumed she was a teacher of some sort based on the wayshe was standing outside her class as students filed in.
But in that moment, he probably didn’t really care. That, or he was too blindedby love to notice.
She looked to be fairly young, and beautiful. Trust me, he would know if he’sseen her before.
Confidently, Teruteru waltzed up to her with a cocky grin plastered on hisface. “Hello, miss, my name is Teruteru Hanamura, Ultimate Cook… but I preferUltimate Chef,” he takes her hand in his and kisses the top, “we can cook upsomething hot between us… if you know what I mean.”
The young woman is a bit uncomfortable and draws her hand back slightly, kindlyasking him to turn away. “But miss, I believe in soulmates and I think you’remaking a big mistake by turning me down.”
She is growing increasingly frustrated and loses her cool, snapping and tellinghim to leave her alone in the kindest way possible.
Obviously, he doesn’t get the hint. “I love a woman who can command me around.”
With that last comment and over-exaggerated wink, she’s had enough, finallyrevealing her Substitute Teacher ID and claiming that she’s turning him in.
Teruteru’s stomach turns as he realizes what he’s done. He loves an olderwoman, but he would never have guessed that she was a teacher!
Hiyoko Saionji
I mean, if she doesn’t get detention for bullying thenthat’s a surprise, it’s not only Mikan but other students as well who face herrelentless torture.
Hiyoko was making a series of off-hand and rather rude comments directedtowards one of the other female students.
Once she was finally approached, she gave the teacher a very sinister look andtold her to leave her alone, or else she’d squish them like a bug.
Her threat was meant to be taken as light banter and simply part of herpersonality but it didn’t really land. Hiyoko was now arguing with the teacherand sent to the Office.
The girl was already in a bad mood and having to talk to the Headmaster wasn’t helping.“So, I hear that you’ve been bullying fellow students?”
“I’m not bullying them if the bitch deserved it!” Hiyoko huffs with her armscrossed defensively over her chest. She’s jutting her jaw and staring at thewall angrily.
Her behavior was certainly not the best and Jin began to scribble somethingdown onto her report. He started to say that she was going to be sent to detention for the day so he could sort out the situation with the otherstudents in question.
In a blind, heated moment, Hiyoko defensively stood. She truly felt like shehadn’t done anything wrong and was even nastier today than normal. So withoutthinking, she wrapped her small hands around the desk lamp and forcefully threwit onto the ground where it shattered.
As the bulb flickered, she exclaimed, “Lighten up!” Her pun didn’t sway Jinover, but instead only made the situation worse as he extended her sentence.
Byakuya Twogami (Imposter)
He’s a bit of a wildcard and an Ultimate for a reason. He’snot really afraid to take someone’s identity if it benefits him in any sort ofway.
There was an upcoming Exam that he simply didn’t feel prepared for at all. But…he’s an Imposter so there could be some solution, right?
He decided to use his talent for his own gain and sneak into the Teacher’sLounge the morning before the Exam to swipe the answers. He knew that Chisacarried around a briefcase with all of her papers in it as well so he just needed to find her and he’s golden.
He steals none other than Kyosuke Munakata’s identity and slips happily intothe forbidden room. He bumps into Chisa on his way, knowing she’ll trust good ol’ Munakata!
“Oh, hello Munakata! How are you?” He fumbles with an excuse, choking out somelazy conversation. He then asks her if he can see her papers momentarily, andshe happily hands them over without second guessing the situation.
His plan was foolproof until the actual Kyosuke Munakata waltzes into theLounge and sees the Imposter sitting beside Chisa on the love-seat. His jaw drops and the Imposter doesn’t even notice the man standing in the doorway at first.
Her eyebrows furrow momentarily as she looks at the two Munakata’s before herand then puts the pieces together. The real one snatches the Imposter by hiscollar and demands that he explains himself.
After his cover got blown, he was sent to detention where to took the Exam witha proctor watching over his shoulder.
Akane Owari
She has a very strange schedule, essentially trainingwhenever she feels like it. This means that Akane often misses class to rampagearound the campus.
She had been pushing herself harder on this morning in particular, climbing the gatesbefore they opened and arriving at Hope’s Peak bright and early on purpose.
If illegal trespassing wasn’t enough, she missed almost an entire day of class. Herteacher found her climbing one of the buildings and insisted that she came downfrom there immediately.
Akane didn’t see the big deal, coming to class wasn’t mandatory for Ultimatesas long as they passed their Exams and she felt fine!
That wasn’t the issue, though: it was breaking into the school to train beforeclass even started that caused issues to arise.
As Akane jumped from the building, one of her buttons came undone.
She made a perfect landing, her legs hadn’t even wobbled despite the heightthat she jumped from. But… she was a bit ‘exposed’ to say the least.
Akane stood before her classmates and teacher, bra and nearly whole chestexposed. She stood there, proudly with a wide grin on her face. “Did ya seethat?!”
Oh, they definitely did.
Once she finally noticed what they were staring at, she didn’t even bother tocover herself. “Oh well, school’s over anyway! Might as well enjoy the view!” Just because she’s in-tune with her sexuality doesn’t mean she’s allowed toflaunt it.
She got sent to a week’s-worth of detention for trespassing and nude exposure, complaining the whole time since it took time away from her training.
Hi I noticed that you have your request open! I really love this blog~♥️ It’s amazing the writing skills every admin has♥️ If it isn’t to much could you write a angst Jungkook x reader about jungkook crushing (liking) the bff of the reader... You decide if the ending is happy or sad~ Thank you so much for taking your time and reading this request ♥️
Hey! Thank you for your request. It isn’t really angsty or at least I don’t think so. I hope you enjoy it none the less.
Tumblr media
“I….. I like you Jungkook,” youconfessed. You stood there staring at the floor as those words hung in the air,weighing down the air around you. The scenarios you had made up in your headwere always so simple. Nothing compared to actually saying those words out loud. The scene you’d imagine would play out after school, he would be waiting, right before your BFF would show up. You wouldn’t hesitate as you confessyour feelings for him. How after he came back from sommer break he had changed in your eyes. That he wasn’t that awkward boy anymore and instead handsome and incredibly good looking. That you didn’t just want to be friends anymore. You wanted to walk to school together as his hand holds yours, kiss his lips before parting ways to go to your seperate classes. After your confession he would end up asking you why you had waited so long totell him, because he felt the same way. In the end he would ask you out andplant a kiss on your lips with his. But reality isn’t as simple as that.Raising your head you look at your reflection in the mirror and sigh.
“This is ridiculous,” you mutter quietly.You had hoped that practice would help you be more confident, or at least easeyour nervousness. Sadly it seems like everything you tried was for nothing, youstill could not get over your nervousness. Grabbing your bag you sling it overyour shoulder and make your way out of your room and out of the house. Justlike every morning, ever since last year, you see Jungkook and Katie (your BFF)waiting for you on the sidewalk. As you walk up to them it’s clear to you thatthey’re too occupied in their conversation to notice your presence.
“… over to my place tomorrow,” is thelast part of the sentence you manage to catch Jungkook say. He most definitely was breathtaking. It wasn’t much but he had changed over summer break.
“Sounds good,” Katie answers with asmile, “Do you have snacks or do I need to go buy some after school?” BeforeJungkook has a chance to respond you fake a cough to make your presence known.
“Oh hey Y/N, we didn’t notice you werealready here.”  Both turn towards you andgreet you with a hug and handshake before turning to walk towards your school.As you walk you can’t help but be curious about what they had been talkingabout earlier seeing how you were now walking in silence. This hasn’t been the first time this has happened. Looking back at it, it’s been kind of tense in the group for the last month. Maybe it was just the start of the new school year, still getting used to not being in a class together that had your group on edge.
“So what’s happening tomorrow?” Thequestion hangs in the air as no one makes any moves to answer.
After a minute or so of silence Katiefinally speaks up and responds, “Jungkook is going to help me with some Mathhomework tomorrow since we started a new chapter on Monday.”  For some reason it didn’t sound verybelievable to you. Yes Katie wasn’t really good at math and even took extralessons because of that. It didn’t make sense that she would ask Jungkook forhelp. Still, you said nothing. I mean why would your Best Friend lie to youabout that? Finally, after what felt like an eternity,you arrived at school. Awkwardly you say goodbye as you part ways to yourrespected classes.
- Time skip -
‘What was going on today,’ you wondered.Every time you were around either Jungkook or Katie it felt weird and slightlyuncomfortable. Maybe it was due to the response Katie had given you earlierthat day. It just didn’t sit right with you. You could barely pay attention toany of your classes today either, it just felt impossible. Once the bell rang you letout a sigh of relief and gathered your things. Maybe you should just talk toKatie and ask her why she’s asking Jungkook for help if it bugs you so much.But maybe she would ask what you would have against it, and then she couldfigure out that you like him. No, having Katie know who you’re crushing on is definitelya bad idea. If she knew that you liked Jungkook then she would most likely endup doing exactly the same thing that happened last time you told her who youliked. She tried her best to set you and your previous crush up but it honestlyended up a total disaster. Which is why you hadn’t told Katie about your latestcrush, it would just make things awkward. I mean, you all were best friendswith each other, it just wouldn’t work out. If you would come together withJungkook and he would share your feelings, well then Katie would be the thirdwheel. That is something you’d never want to do to a best friend. On the otherhand, if Jungkook didn’t like you back well then you wouldn’t have the guts toface him probably ever again. The best course of action was just to keep quietand hope that Jungkook falls in love with you and confesses. Chances of thathappening though were very slim indeed. So you will just keep your mouth shut.With that resolution you make your way to your meet up point and see that Katieis already waiting for you there.
“Hey Y/N, you’ll never believe what Mr.Reyes had us do in Gym class,” Katie paused, “We had to do the Pacer Test.Honestly it’s inhumane to make people do those. Which sadist came up with thatidea anyway? Thank goodness I wasn’t the first one to bail but I don’t see howanyone is able to that long…..” She continues to ramble on about the class andyou feel the tension fade away. Everything is back to normal.  As you both waited on Jungkook you talked andjoked about teachers and other miscellaneous things. It felt good and the weirdfeeling you had earlier all but disappeared.
“Oh there he is,” Katie exclaims andstarts waving at someone behind you. Most certainly it was him. Turning aroundin the direction Katie was waving you see Jungkook and a couple of his guyfriends heading out of the building and towards you. Shyly you raise your handup near your chest and give a small wave. As the group see you two they startwaving back and you can’t help but blush as you see Jungkook give you a smileback.
“Are you blushing?” Katie exclaimsexcitedly. “Oh my gosh. Do you have another crush? Is it one of Jungkook’sfriends? Come on Y/N tell me! I can help you.” This was exactly the thing youhad feared the most. In order to try and hide the fact that you were blushingyou try and cover your cheeks with your hands. It did little to help the factthat Katie was already thinking about who it could be that you’d have a crushon.
“It’s no one Katie,” you try to lie butshe wasn’t having it.
“You can’t hide it from me. I saw justhow red you got when you looked at the guys. So come on Y/N, you can trust me.Who is it? Is it Henry?”
“Shh they’re almost here. They’ll hearyou.” The last thing you needed right now was that everyone finds out about youcrushing on someone. That would be the end, seeing how you would no longer haveany peace and quiet. Your friends would not give you any rest until they findout who it is you like. So you could either lie and pick some other guy or leteveryone know that you liked Jungkook. Both options don’t seem very appealingto you. The only quiet way out of this is to plead with Katie that she keepsquiet. “Please Katie, I beg you. You can ask me about it later, but not nowplease.”
Thankfully for whatever reason, shestills, turning back towards the guys.
“So ready to finally go home?” Jungkookasks as he lazily swings his arm around your shoulder, leaning on you. Breathingin deeply you smell the cologne he has put on today. Moments like these, wherehis body touches yours, are what you dream about late at night. The pressure ofjust his arm weighing on your shoulder makes you imagine his chest on yours.Alas, you would be too embarrassed to admit that out loud. The weight liftingoff of your shoulders snaps you out of your fantasies as you realize your grouphas started their walk home. The first stop would be your house, oh how youwished to be one of the last in order to spend more time alone with Jungkook. Mostof the time you hung out together some other friend would eventually come andjoin you. At least in your fantasies you had all the time in the worldtogether.
As usual the time flies as you talk withyour friends and realize you’ve already arrived at your house. Waving goodbyeyou proceed inside and to your room.
“Y/N, could you close all the windowsupstairs please. Thank you Honey,” your mom asks you as you pass her on yourway up the stairs.
“Sure mom,” you respond withouthesitation and proceed to the different rooms, closing each window. Once youget to the guest rooms window you look to see if you could steal a glimpse ofJungkook. Looking out of the window you see as Jungkook and Katie walk next toeach other, their bodies close together. Faint is what you feel as you seetheir hands interlock, walking further out of your view. The feeling you had had this morning as you overheard them talking was back. You wish you could have stopped watching, because what happened next, right before they were gone from your view, was how Katie pulled Jungkook towards her and planted a kiss on his lips.
