AU where Crowley lied and said to God that the suggestion box was also Aziraphale’s idea.

They lied bc they genuinely thought that if they said that someone else had the same idea, it’d add weigh to their suggestion…

God knew it was a lie but just so Crowley could be devoured by guilt forever, She banished them both.

After that, Crowley undoubtedly felt so guilty toward Azazel (the demon name Aziraphale choose for himself) they decided to protect him the best they could from both Hell and Heaven.

Azazel never knew about Crowley’s lie. He just thought he had made a shtty job working on humans and thus got banished.

He is visually impaired, since he’s linked to the proteus salamander. And grew a moustache that actually helps him feel and “see” his surrounding!

And as the usual, these two have a hard time building a healthy relationship. Azazel is very much opened about his love for Crowley, mainly because he doesn’t fear Heaven anymore. But Crowley is still feeling very guilty, so they try to act distant. (but it’s so hard, they constantly fail)

I am very late to the Reverse Omens party on this one, I know… (it started as Michael Sheen face practice and then spiralled out of control from there)!

In my mind, Demon!Aziraphale’s animal is a black goat, hence the horizontal pupils - he just wants to know wouldst thou like to live deliciously, and what is so evil about that?

Angel!Crowley is largely unchanged, personality wise, though he retained an angelic wardrobe colour palette and now he sings to his plants & pet snakes to help them grow instead!

There are so many amazing reverse omens AUs I am loving at the moment and all the different interpretations give me so much joy!

@asleepyy was kind enough to humor my commission of Jophiel giving Azazel a much-needed hug, seen above*, despite it being completely uncanonical for that point in their relationship. Their expressions were so intense and the picture so beautiful that it inspired me to write a story, which I gladly gift back to @asleepyy and to the ever-growing Oopsie!Omens community. This is a cover and some details, since I like how I'm coming along with their faces.

This is the cover for my alternate universe series Dark Intimacies, about fallen Aziraphale and angel Crowley trying to save him. They are master and slave in Late Rome, just before the invasion of Alaric.

If you like transgressive fiction and historical fiction, and favor the idea of Aziraphale a really dark character, you might like the story. I have chapter one posted and working on the next.

It was watching Michael Sheen in other shows that got me keen on reading Aziraphale as a dark character.

Sheen would destroy the role--his evil is so good. David Tennant's demon is misunderstood, disillusioned. That's why Crowley will never be truly evil, as Pratchett and Gaimen intended, because he fell for merely questioning.

I love our Good Omens the way it is, but just suppose...

Been thinking about reverse omens a lot and I have some ideas:

Angel!Crowley is despised by the other angels in Heaven because he doesn’t have a stick up his ass doesn’t always follow the rules to a T. He has fun with it. The other angels are wishing for the day he finally gets sent to hell.

Demon!Aziraphale takes himself very seriously and likes appearing cool and mysterious. Unfortunately this isn’t very successful, because he can’t help but smile and laugh when he’s around Crowley. And they’re around each other often.

The humans they know often remark on how Crowley is the only person who’s able to make Az smile.

Crowley has a cream white vintage Cadillac convertible. It only ever plays David Bowie. (Starman, eh?)

“I wouldn’t say fall, rather I suppose I just... moseyed." -Aziraphale

Az owns an exclusive wine bar ("the swankiest in Soho", as Crowley likes to tease) and collects wines, along with making his own (he's been aging wines since the 1890s). He operates it completely by himself and only serves the cheaper wines. Everybody is too intimidated to ask for the finer stuff. Hell lets it slide because Az made some excuse about wine being a powerful tempter.

Crowley has a botanical garden because he prefers its lushness to Heaven's cold minimalism. It's the most flourishing botanical garden in London because Crowley overfeeds them compliments, aka the validation he doesn't get from Heaven.

Good Omens Reverse AU + BoxFly

Season 2 Spoilers

Crowley aka Raphael

• Core Difference: He accepts, even embracing, change. Volunteered to guard Eden after hearing about earth and the ineffable plan. Finds the mystery of the plan fascinating, and has treated it like a puzzle he learns at his own pace.

• Had no intention of actually spreading good, just wanted to see how things would play out first hand.

• Likes to follow and tease Mr Fell for being a bad demon (good person). “No judgement” ass.

• The original van life girlie. Owns a vintage 70s van. While he officially put heaven’s earthly HQ in an apartment, he travels around in his van with his plants.

• Likes to try out different parenting methods on the plants since anger & resentment isn’t fueling his being.

• Reason for saving earth: the idea of ending the world and returning to a stagnant eternity seems awfully boring. He hasn’t even gotten to see humanity’s reaction to seeing his star system. (plus he’s grown fond of the planet and his demon, although it’s hard for him to admit it).

Aziraphale aka Azazel / A. Z. Fell / Mr. Fell (preferred)

• Not very creative with the new name. Clings to his angel name a bit.

• Core Difference: Fell because of his fear of change. Had a whole existential crisis following the ineffable plan that led him questioning God.

• Just a ball of self loathing and identity crisis. Constantly. Blames himself for falling, no ill will towards God. Has really tried to lean into the mean evil demon thing, but is a little too soft for that approach. Is at his best at tempting by either existentially dumping on people or with a “the water’s fine” / gentle parenting approach by spinning it to be a good thing.

• A bit of an agoraphobe and a hoarder. His bookshop is just piles and piles of books.

• Avoids hell as much as possible. Earth is his safe space and comfort planet.

• Reason for saving earth: it has become his home. He’s fallen in love with human things like music, food, and the arts.

• Reason for the s2 breakup: Raphael turns down Metatron’s offer to be supreme angel (and consequently the offer for Fell to become an angel). Raphael still sees the heaven & hell as toxic, but Fell would give anything to be welcomed into heaven again.

Beelzebub aka Jophiel

• Runs heaven like a summer camp with college student camp counselors (go bother someone else mentality). Those in charge are like “Uh, I don’t know. Go cure a kid of cancer or something.”

• Takes the ineffable plan as an excuse to be a laissez fair leader. The ineffable plan is God’s will, and God’s will be done so it’s all fine. It will work out; the angels are just here to see it along.

• Instead of a throne room or an office space, they have more of a spa area with a desk & a telephone for emergencies.

Gabriel aka Baal

• Runs hell like a miserable 9 to 5 cubicle job mixed with the DMV.

• That obnoxious boss that abuses power, and has employees doing things beyond their job description.

• Sent Fell to earth because he was “too depressing” and was “bringing down the energy of hell.”

• He still is the one who runs away from his post and wipes his own memory. Michael (aka Paimon) is no. 3, and is constantly scheming to overthrow Gabriel.
