Oh god okay here we go

Why must I go into heavy detail you ask? Well, I am actually unable to shut up so here it is them 10 TOP “there’s no chance this is a straight friendship” MOMENTS

“You can have my back any day” aka the enemies to lovers speedrun. The immediate feeling we’re supposed to get from the screen is jealousy. Buck is jealous of the new recruit because he’s hot, a medic, a veteran, whatever. I’ll give it to you children, he WAS jealous. But then they go on call and they get into immediate danger bc 911 is a drama and then Eddie’s very keen on being Buck’s partner. Nothing queer til then right? WRONG. Eddie’s line is pretty normal but the way Buck reacts isn’t. I have had my fair share of “huh this person I didn’t like is actually cool” moments but nEVER have I once sucked in a breath, forgot how to blink, rushed in my words OR stared at said person like I’d like for them to be my lover. Three points to Gayfindor.

“Is your son REALLY the reason you don’t date?” This line and the dialogue that follows makes absolutely no sense from the non-queer glass. Alright he asks bc he wants to know why two girls practically launched themselves at him and he declined (such a kind offer lmao) but… why are you standing so close? Why do you bump shoulders with him as you walk? Most importantly, what the FUCK does Eddie’s smirk mean after “they’re not my type either… not anymore.” Idk about you guys but when I’m not on the market I’m actually not in it 😀 and I don’t go around looking at my best friend like I’d consider fucking her (I’m actually kinda yikes about that thought bc she’s like my sister). Bottom line is: if you’re willing to fuck your best friend, there’s attraction. That scenes oozes attraction and I’d be willing to white glove challenge a body language reader.

The Tsunami. YES okay, there are far many moments in between but I also need to make this a somewhat readable list so here we go. We’re gonna pretend for a hot second Buck wants to save his best friend’s son, and not the child that he considers his own bc I’m tired. Let’s skip to the far end of this (be GrAtEfuL I’m skipping the whole sacrifice that this episode entailed. Buck was willing to die, to never sit down again if it meant looking for Chris [& the utter fear he has to face Eddie]. It’s a lot). Now, I do not OWN a child (thank god) but if I did, I wouldn’t be particularly comfortable with a simple friend from work taking care of them. They could be my very best friend from work and I’d still feel a little icky -at least nervous- about it. Yet Eddie not only takes Christopher back A F T E R the tsunami (Chris could’ve died and Eddie is nothing short of apprehensive), but he says ‘there’s no one I trust with my son more than you’. Um. Not his wife. Not his family (CHRIS’ family), not Abuela, not Tia Pepa. Buck. Who he… just met? Surely it isn’t bc he’s uncle buck… I don’t believe even Maddie has said that to Buck, where he’s actually, yknow, UNCLE BUCK. Co-parenting is not something done between a parent and a friend, and I know this shit bc my mom raised me with a few of her friends and guys,,, she never said that to any of them. Also Chris is practically never seen with anyone else from the 188firefam alone.

The Kitchen Scene™️. I have gone on rants about this before but truth be told THIS is the scene that conveys the MOST canonically sexual tension between them. We can joke about it all y’all want but this scene is unhinged. I don’t think Oliver and Ryan were aware that they should’ve been friends in this scene. The way the conversation shifts from apologetic sad puppy eyes to “you’re throwing your punches at the wrong guy” to I CAN TAKE YOU (???) you can what? “Oh you think?” “Oh I know” HELLO? Pls don’t even get me started on how Buck approaches Eddie, the way he’s puffy-chested, his hand on his belt, eyeing him up and down, nearly biting his lip, cocky grin,,,,, explain to me in hetero. I’m waiting😐 guys c’mon exPLAIN IT TO ME IN HETERO. The way Eddie glances to the side bc where’s Chris? And h o w he sips his beer right after, smirking, tiLTING His head. I’m sorry this is not straight in any way. I’m sorry you’re gonna have to accept this.

Clipboard Buck. Alright u got me!!! This one’s a lil silly, but so is my life, so it’s fair game. Clipboard Buck is annoying as fuck, he’s so fucking annoying. The entire firefam picks up on this, no one wants to be around,,,, except Eddie. You could argue that it’s bc he likes him as a friend and he’s just indulging …. 👁️👄👁️ sure but he also hides from Interim Captain Han soooo anyway what’s fun about this is how willing Eddie is to comply with everything he says. He’s basically twirling his hair, kicking his feet, smiling & blushing and “check!” 🧍🏽‍♀️ buck is kinky (that is canon e.g the ring cutter) and he gets high on authority and Eddie does backflips to meet his kinks. Exhibit 5 complete.

The Lawsuit Arc acka the first divorce era😔✊🏼. This one makes me rage a little bit because I get really upset at Buck for acting recklessly. Like baby let yourself HEAL. Anyway,,,, onto what brings us here 🥷🏼. It’s canon that the entire team is mad at Buck, they don’t really wanna bump into him, can’t really speak to him,,, but Eddie? Eddie’s filled with wrath. I cannot stress enough the fact that he uses Chris as an excuse “do you even know how much he misses you? how could you! you’re not here”. The way he expresses himself, and we’re choosing to ignore the fact that he HIMSELF misses Buck,, that’s how you talk to someone who has a responsibility with the child, not the fun coworker that randomly shows up @ your house with pizza every once in a while. “I couldn’t even call you to bail me out of jail”. He’s so u p s e t that for the first time they know each other he can’t rely on Buck when he’s hurting and in danger. And pls for the love of Jesus Christ my lord & savior don’t tell me that it’s a 118 thing bc he calls Ronda Rousey to come pick him up 🎅🏻 that grocery store scene is.. interesting.

Eddie Underground. Alright we’re getting serious now guys,,, might as well put on your thinking caps on this one. We all know the story, this isn’t a latest ep recap soooo The wAY Buck’s the ONLY ONE who desperately calls Eddie’s name when he’s fallen underground, amidst the heavy rain and dirt. Listen to me: he starts digging with his hands. With his bare hands I tell you!!!! 😩 Bobby has to physically pull him back as he cries on his lap. Buck is a smart man, he wouldn’t do something that’s completely illogic, he knows he can’t dig him out but he’s so desperate. His voice breaks, he can’t breathe, he becomes impulsive, reckless, impatient. Do I need to remind y’all the reason he wasn’t the one getting strapped to go underground??? “You’re not going down there. So we can have two cut off ropes?” Everyone knows he’s willing to sacrifice his integrity for Eddie bc his life doesn’t make sense without him. “We’ll get him back for you”

The Shooting + “I’ve made u my son’s dad lol”. When Eddie gets shot the world freezes for Buck. He’s left standing there, staring as Eddie’s blood splatters on him. He has to be tackled down. Even then, he’s unable to move, to breathe. He just looks as he bleeds out, and theN he snaps back into reality, bracing himself to go under the truck (foregoing his own trauma - I’ve said this before) and preparing for the amount of strength it’s gonna take to pull him under it. He screams at him to hold on, and later when he manages to pull him inside the truck he tells him he needs him to hang on. He rips his uniform open, he cries and screams,,, then Eddie wakes up, and he asks BUCK if HES okay. Bc he saw blood :( also as @butraura pointed out, he can’t die if Buck’s dying bc what about Chris? He only lets himself drift off when he knows Buck’s okay. Then we got The Will Reveal™️ also so unhinged. “You knew I wouldn’t turn it down” right what is this guys??? That was a year ago. He added him to his will A yEaR aGo. Idk about y’all but I haven’t added my friends to my will😀 also Buck’s the one who tells Chris ??? (I’m being very brief on this subject). Also “Because, Evan” shut up🧎🏽‍♀️

& 10. The Lightning Strike + “She sees me”. I’m doing these together bc I haven’t watched this episodes yet but I’m an addict so I’ve spoiled myself to the brim. The way Eddie screams Buck’s name, the way he saves him, “do more” h e l l o ?? The absolute PAIN in Eddie’s eyes, “you died Buck” “3 minutes and 17 seconds”, “his humor hasn’t changed” & the fact that he listens to Buck on his super genius math theory. And then Buck goes and says “I feel like Natalia sees me” ok. I mean my feelings mean nothing but Eddie’s face ??? That’s a man that knows he’s waited too long.

I rest my case. I’m missing a lot of scenes (like a lot omg Abby comes back, Buck under the Truck, Buck vomiting blood, the Taylor Arc) & y’all can argue in the comments about them, or add shit or try to dismantle mine, honestly the floor is yours idc wHat u do, just know you won’t convince me otherwise 🤸🏽these two are in love & that’s pretty much that on THAT. PERIOD.

Gotta say your au mixed with the art style and such and amazing work in what we seen so far with the horror and some laughs it's just become a treat every time I saw new details (whenever you supplies them up, thanks for that)

I know you already disclosure that it's gonna be bad BAD TIMES for the puppets gang but does it have it's soft ad fluff times??

The shot were Frank ask Wally if they're dying will looking up for the ceiling hasn't leave my brain, such a raw emotional clear on them, I wonder when they were just the two of them for a while they cuddle or hold hands for comfort??

of course it has fluff and comfort! a lot of it! having a nice blend of both makes the fluff feel sweeter & the hurt hit all the harder <3 i will now supply some (written (for now)) examples and tidbits. putting it under the cut cause it got kinda Long

Frank & Wally do become very affectionate with each other! ofc as soon as Frank woke Wally was like "ok im holding your hand everywhere we go, this is Non Negotiable". because its dark! he doesn't want Frank to stray too far or get lost! and it's easier to yank Frank outta harm's way if they're already holding hands. comfort factors into it later, when Frank starts initiating & Wally does it purely to make sure Frank is still there. but yeah they get Very comfortable with each other, to the point where when Eddie wakes up he asks Frank - misinterpreting the situation entirely - "if you'd rather have Wally than me, i understand." ofc Frank laughs his ass off bc uhhh no that is Not what their relationship is, Ed

~ similarly, (almost) everyone acclimates to Wally's need to be as close as possible at all feasible times. he's Very physically affectionate and has little to no regard for personal space or boundaries anymore. like, he'll listen when someone asks him to back off or somethn, but until then he does not give a fuck. and this rubs off on the others as they get used to it

and then there's OH WAIT IDK IF I'VE MENTIONED THIS YET but! Wally - during his main exploration phase - found the Welcome Home episode recordings! and he eventually figured out how to work a tv he found, so he added "watch an episode of me and my friends" into his Routine. when the others wake up, he includes them in this. is it horrifying for them at first? yeah. but they get used to it and find similar if not the same comfort and enjoyment in it that Wally does. like in This Scribble, Frank & Wally & Poppy & Howdy are all watching an episode, and are quoting the lines they've memorized. they all cuddle up on a couch together and watch their favorite show <3

& Wally also teaches them (as they wake up) how to repair and care for themselves / each other, sleeping or otherwise. picture a little sewing circle of Frank, Wally, and Poppy, with Poppy giving tips and guidance on how to improve. these sessions provide them with genuine smiles and sometimes even some laughs.

before Wally & Home's divorce, they'd pass much of the time with games! go-fish, charades, i spy, etc. one of their favorites was when Wally would toss a ball at Home's door, and Home would hit it back. additionally, whenever Wally discovered something new, he'd rush back to Home with it - either the information or the actual thing, if he could carry it. ex: when he'd find books or files, he'd bring them to Home and (quietly) read them aloud while resting against them

and just in general know that the Post Office is a place of safety. Wally has made sure it's secure. i like to imagine like... little craft sessions and impromptu dancing lessons and story sharing going on in there among the awake neighbors. they try to have fun despite it all

that's all i can recall for Act One's fluff tidbits rn, but trust me there is More. and also abundant angsty comfort. the downright painful stuff has to earn its existence yk yk this au is Not grimdark

Michie roommate AU ideas (part one probably)

Richie doesn't know Max is his roommate and he's shocked to learn Max can cook, especially when Max starts making meals specifically for him. Maybe he learns from Steph later that it's sort of a love language for him.

A Basic 'one room gets flooded, you're not sleeping on the couch, only one bed' situation.

This can go either way. One has a date and the other makes some shit up to seem less pathetic. From here, you can do two things. 1: The pathetic one has to find someone to go on a double date with him with and they end up hitting it off more than their dates. Or 2: The one with a date comes home dejected from being stood up or just having a shitty date and the pathetic one comforts them.

Richie gets out of a clearly shitty long term relationship and is heartbroken. Max goes on a rant about how Richie deserved better from the start, giving examples about what he deserves in a partner (which maybe Max so happens to do most of already) and how Richie is such a wonderful, adorable, passionate person who deserves someone great. And Richie sees him differently after that. And maybe after Richie says he'd kind of like to date Max, Max says he doesn't deserve to date Richie. He's not good enough. You go from there.

Richie comes down in cosplay clothes (not wig, maybe makeup) to eat [this is a real thing; cosplayers confirm] and turns out Max is kind of attracted to Richie when he's dressed like... whatever anime character that is.

Alternatively, Richie wears Max's clothes for a cosplay for because he's doing laundry. Max likes that too. Maybe he doesn't get those clothes back and he is Perfectly okay with that.

One of them really likes the others morning voice. And/or their sleepy voice.

TW: Max's canonic domestic abuse. Max has a panic attack when he realises he didn't clean his dish after dinner and he's convinced Richie’s going to yell at him when he goes downstairs, or break the plate over his head like some people might. Richie comes to his room, worried, to find him absolutely freaking out. This is when Richie finally confronts Max about his past with his father.

Horror movies. Like Saw or whatever, a lot of gore or torture. I dunno if It or something would work for this, since it's not very scary. Richie is very desensitized to them after watched Tokyo Ghoul, but absolutely didn't expect Max to be horrified by every scary scene.

We're gonna give It some credit now. Max and Richie have both seen It One before so they decide to watch it (maybe after watching horror movies Max can't stand) When they watch chapter Two Richie starts pointing out all the gay shit between Richie and Eddie. This changes Max’s like... whole life perspective. I think one or more Saw movies have gay shit too, but I havent seen any of them.

Max takes Richie out to drink after he turns 21 and Richie is absolutely plastered. Max finds the outgoing, idiotic Richie adorable, and sleepy drunk Richie charming. Richie is thankful for Max taking care of him for essentially two days in a row, with his hangover. He realises just how often Max takes care of him.

Classic "trying to convince you I'm okay with you moving out by complaining about your habits, mixing in 'it's so stupid that I find all this shit charming and don't want to live without it." Is that classic or am I making up a memory if seeing this before?

Max starts humming songs he's heard Richie play. Richue laughs and asks him if he knows those songs are in Japanese and Max is like "dude, I thought I was just being delusional." Not really a ship one, but funny.

Max getting jealous when Richie invites his friends over (potentially being alone with Trevor's bf, who's very attractive and has an accent) because he's used to getting most of Richie’s attention.

Max helping Richie dye his hair. That's it, very domestic. And maybe Richie helps Max dye his hair, idk.

Max starts leaving compliments on the bathroom mirror with dry erase marker for Richie since he struggles communicating verbally. Such as the following image. Richie doesn't take it seriously— he thinks Max is talking to himself— until Max finally compliments him randomly one day. He just stares for a while and Richie asks 'what is it?' And Max just says "you look really cute today." He leaves comments still and Richie doesn't know how to feel. Until he does.

They're asked to kiss to prove it and Richie doesn't know what's really happening, but is really into it when Max kisses him. He doesn't know what to do when they get home. Especially when he thinks of it too much and maybe goes into Max’s room to continue.

Richie does a formal cosplay (whether that's a formal character like Sigma bsd or a black butler character, or just making a non-formal character dress formally) and Max is really into it.

Max keeps getting hard when he sees Richie all messed up from sleeping in the morning. Richie finds this out and laughs slightly at first, saying it's a little weird that he didn't just claim morning wood and be done with it, but he keeps doing it on purpose after that. He messes up his hair a little bit more in the morning and makes sure his pyjamas look disheveled. Max eventually finds this out and asks about it.

Richie catches Max masturbating to a cosplay thirst trap he posted (Richie didn't even know Max knew his cosplay account)

im a little sick rn so im sorry if this doesnt make sense or sounds like the ramblings of a crazy person. but every once in a while i see people say that teen titans 2003 completely butchered rose's character and while i think thats true i feel like its also important to mention that. tt03 completely defined rose's character. dgmw she had plenty of good appearances beforehand (titans 99 rose my forever beloved) but teen titans IS her character

like she had showed up in deathstroke comics and mostly either didnt have much of a personality or was experiencing a lot of emotions given that she was having the worst week of her life so its hard to pinpoint an actual personality from that, then in titans she was a fun character but was entirely a side character that didnt have a lot to do. she was on two titans teams before tt03 but never went on a mission (unless u count that one ww issue she was in). not to mention her entire relationship with slade was "hes just kinda the guy that impregnated my mom then indirectly got her killed" so she didnt like him but she also didnt care all that much

but tt03. usually when geoff johns butchers a character he doesnt really give a reason for why their personality is different, but with rose there is a very clear explanation. in #0.5 despite its problems (mischaracterizing lili in the one (1) panel she appeared in and giving rose the. sigh. foster parents.) she was pretty much the same she had been in deathstroke comics, where she was a mostly average person with mild violent tendencies. then wade (same guy that killed her mom) came and murdered her foster parents in front of her, she was very obviously angry and was having a VERY emotionally charged moment. she was angry at the titans because they were the closest people nearby in that moment, then she wasnt angry at slade because he was the one handing her a gun to let her take her revenge. so we very clearly see what made her feel like slade was her only resort, then in issue #12 they say that slade is using the super soldier serum on her to keep her there. so everything is laid out pretty clearly. then ofc when she joins the team in #34 its pretty obvious that her personality is gonna be different bc shes just gotten out of being forced to work with slade against her will, then put on the teen titans where she feels like no one but eddie actually wants her there, but she cant leave because she thinks slade will find her again. shes angry and hurting and her life has been fundamentally changed

basically idk. tt03 shaped most of her personality, her relationship with slade, and her general outlook on life and actually gave a reason for why so much was changed. and before that she had been a pretty minor character, so teen titans gave her a chance to actually. be a character with motives. so while she is a different character in tt03 (though i'd also argue that she has a fairly similar personality in the deathstroke comics she'd been in) i dont think its entirely true to say that it was BAD for her character

#given that shes one of deathstrokes kids i dont think she would've faded into obscurity without tt03 or anything #but she definitely would be a completely different character #i hate to give geoff credit but. the foundations of her character to this day are nearly entirely his doing #along with a bit of sean mckeever given that he was the one to really define her stance on killing #but i have VERY complicated feelings on what he did with that #given that i like her having grey morals and doing a bit of killing #but it also bothers me that she had a really good moment where she chose not to kill someone #and she never killed anyone after she got off the serum until mckeever came #then he had her like. suddenly being more murderous #so he backtracked on her morals AND she was starting to get along with the team and he backtracked on that too #but again. so much of that defined a big part of her character so i cant be too mad ig #rose wilson #dc

I fully agree with the headcannon of his having anger issues, but he can control it much better now in his later years of highschool since I believe he uses his drums as an outlet

I also headcannon (is it two n’s or one?? Is there a space??) that he has sisters, but one older and one younger

Spends time with the little sister much more often and fights with the older one

Has both parents but the dad is literally always gone working and mom is just always somewhere in the house or out

I think Gareth gets flustered easily

I also think he cries more than any of the other boys in hellfire

Like he’s not gonna cry at just anything but if something hurts, he’s gonna cry, when this happens he just wants to hide his face because he thinks that it’s embarrassing

Calls you over when he is having a bad day just so he can bury his head somewhere on your body, your neck, shoulder, chest, back, stomach, thighs, oh god the thighs make him stop crying every single time

You will be sitting on the edge of his bed or smth and he pushes your knees together and then buries his head there, sure he can’t breath but that’s what helps slow it down right lol

Would get a bumper sticker that says “thick thighs saves lives” but never puts it anywhere

Eddie finds it and puts it on Gareth’s car, or takes it for his own van

Probably has a few pins on his cut off flannel that eddie got for him as a gift

He didn’t buy them he stole them but Gareth doesn’t know that

Gareth likes all kinds of music and slow dances to 60’s love songs with you in his kitchen at night

One day his family was out to dinner and a movie and Gareth wanted you over, his parents said yes, but they haven’t met you yet and when his family came home you two were dancing in the kitchen, holding each other with your foreheads against each other smiling with your eyes closed and his mom looked into the window from afar seeing you two, back handed his dad on the chest and said “hun look, i think we gotta meet this person”

Gareth is so in love with you and will show it he does not care

He pulls you onto his lap all the time

You cling onto his forearm and upper arm aaallllll the time and he is such a sucker, he literally melts especially if you are at the lunch table tired and gripping on his arm while laying your head on his shoulder, he moves to tangle his fingers with yours and kisses the top of your head

The rest of the table makes grossed out noises and you just smile with your eyes closed

Anything you do that shows you are comfortable with him he melts

Sing around him please even if you can’t sing well, he’s still gonna think that it was good because you are literally perfect in his eyes

I feel like Gareth got some connection with hippies, either his mom/dad is one, or you are, oh if you are a hippie or have that style just know that he planned your wedding already

Probably has baby names picked out already because he does want kids and he does want to get married, but only if it is you

Probably slept with a nightlight for the longest time and is still lowkey creeped out by the dark (same bby)

When you spend the night and need something that’s not already in his room, he will go walking through the rest of the dark house just for you

Tries not to look into the darkness because he’s convinced he will see something

Hiya I know you're a safe space and I need to get this out, so sorry in advance 🙃.

I see how amazing canon bi buck is for the queer community and I don't mind how it happened in canon. But while I should be happy, I actually kind of feel like I'm mourning? I'm so attached to eddie, maybe unhealthily so, and the ensemble found family dynamic is what first brought me to the show. For a while it's been a struggle having the fandom basically shove buck into every spec or storyline and act like he is a perfect angel and the centre of the universe. But there was always the eddiezers and it was more balanced. But now literally EVERYBODY is all about buck and tommy. It feels like the rest of the show doesn't even exist. I know its only been a couple of days but going on social media now just makes me anxious and idk why really. I'm worried about future eddie storylines, I'm desperate for marisol to disappear, but the vibe is that now buck is bi nothing else matters, we've won apparently, who even cares about eddie or the other characters because buck kissed a man.

Also I'm sex-repulsed ace and people saying how if you don't like it you're a purist and an evangelical and homophobic and biphobic actually makes me feel like shit. I never really understood wanting two characters to have sex 'because why not', because I don't understand why anyone wants to ever lol. I can only read buddie smut in very specific scenarios and most of the time i skip even that. And the rhetoric in a lot of tumblr space recently makes me feel like a bad person for not being all for it 100%. I don't think I've explained myself well here but I tried. You don't have to reply or post this either, I just wanted to reach out to someone in fandom who won't jump down my throat for it 😅. 911 is kind of a hyperfixation of mine so even though I'm trying to stay away as much as possible so as to not make myself more upset but I have no idea what to do with myself otherwise 🫠. Please don’t apologize, im happy you felt like I was a safe space. Im gonna break this into two parts and I hope I can articulate myself correctly lol

1) the first few days after an episode, any episode but especially one like this, isn’t indicative of fandom as a whole. Emotions are heightened due to what happened in the episode. Everyone is screaming about something and it’s in your face ya know? This week something HUGE happened, so yes people are talking about it. It was to be expected. We must make space for people to be happy about it. It’s a beautiful thing and queer joy MUST be celebrated.

This show (for the most part) has done a beautiful job of giving each character their time to shine(some more so than others but thats a conversation for a different day). Coming off 7x04, yes the headline is Bi Buck. And it will continue to be for a while, but it’s important to remember that YOU curate your fandom experience. I don’t blame you at all for what you’re feeling, ESPECIALLY as an Eddie girlie(gn), like I get it! Trust me! I’ve had to carefully maneuver through some emotions this week myself. I’m human! But filtering and being able to step away is everything.

Being excited about the storyline and also hoping and wanting more from other storylines are two things that can be true at the same time. It’s not one or the other. Remember that.

2) im going to say this and just know the caps is because I am just passionate. I promise you, its yelling at you with love okay?

I know it is easier said than done, but don’t you EVER allow ANYONE on this fucking hellsite make you feel less than or that your asexuality is anything but 100% valid. YOU are valid, you hear me?

Okay. I had to make sure to say that first. Whew. Now. As for the fandom piece of it all, we have to remember that there levels to it. You are allowed to feel the way you feel about sex, BUT it’s also important to remember that sex positivity (and those who express it) is also a good and valid. If you feel like there are blogs that talk down to you, imply that YOU are homophobic or biphobic simply because YOU are not doing cartwheels about different sex acts, then block. Unfollow. Do whatever you need to. Those people are scum.

Cg!Eddie x Little!Reader: How he found out about Reader Regression (and how Midnight the bat came to be)

Life after accepting to date Eddie was great.

I mean most people wouldn't expect that (and at first you admit you thought so too) but boy were they wrong. They thought Eddie was loud, rude, annoying, self absorbed, and mainly a freak. But that wasn't true. That wasn't true at all.

Eddie Munson had to be one of the nicest, sweetest, most caring, most understanding person you've ever met. He didn't treat you weirdly. He treated you like a normal person with a little personality to it and honestly that was all you could ask for.

The thing he liked about you was that you treated him normally too. You didn't mind the way he liked DnD while others found it weird, you found it interesting even if you didn't exactly want to play it you never put him down for liking it and I guess that's what attracted him to you.

After about 2 and a half months of being friends Eddie decided to ask you out to which you accepted. Which brings us to where we are now which is at your house.

Right now you were setting up your living room for your annual Saturday movie night with Eddie. He went to the video store to go and pick up some movies for you two to watch together, most likely action or horror films sometimes both, it depends on the mood he's in. But while Eddie was deciding what to watch, you had a bigger more important decision to make. One that would alter your relationship for the rest of your lives.

See you were an age regressor to put it simply. That meant that when you got too anxious, were filled with too many negative emotions, or just felt like being younger than you actually are for your enjoyment, you mind would regress you to a certain age. Most people don't get to pick how young they regress to and you couldn't pick either. Usually the more scared or filled with negative emotions the person is, the younger they would regress to, which was the case with you, but everyone is different.

And unfortunately age regression isn't always sunshine and flowers. It can happen at considerably bad times and keep you from doing you need to do. It can also be brought on by something triggering and not be very fun for the regressor or anyone around them. Regressors could also be feeling super upset and cause tantrums and yelling and crying which was also no fun for them or anyone else.

This is why you decided to keep this part of you from Eddie. Well until now.

You thought that you should tell Eddie about your regression in case something were to happen and cause you to regress out of no where that he should know what to do or at least be made aware of what was happening. He didn't necessarily have to do anything to help you but you thought he would appreciate knowing what was going on with you.

Just as you were putting the already popped popcorn in a bowl you heard the door bell ring repeatedly and frantically.

You set the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table and rushed to the door and threw it open and greeted and equally excited Eddie at the door.

"Hey! Look what I got" Eddie said while giving you a hug and entering your house.

You looked at the films he excitedly shoved in front of your face to see he picked Beetlejuice and Friday the thirteenth (look their great movies you guys).

"Of course you picked those" you said shaking your head with faux annoyance and a smile on your face.

"What does that mean?!" Eddie asked spinning to face you after he set the movies down. "These are incredible movies I'll have you know and I don't need your sass to ruin them"

"Oh I'm sure they are. Now pop them in the VHS player so we can watch them. Your whining's giving me a headache." You said dramatically, rubbing your temple.

Eddie just mocked you with a high pitched voice but eventually did what you said. You smiled to yourself. 'This is good', you thought 'Eddie's in a good mood so maybe telling him won't make him too upset....well hopefully' you added to your thoughts.

Eddie then ran up to where you were sitting and slammed himself into your couch. He then cuddled up close to you just as you grabbed the popcorn and brought it up to the couch so the both of you had better access to it. Upon listening to the erie music you realzed he picked Friday the thirteenth. Not the best movie for an already stressed regressor but you'll have to make due.

As the movie went on you were getting very antsy. Either from the movie or the knowledge that you had to tell Eddie about your regression, you couldn't tell. Unfortunately Eddie noticed your constant moving and squirming and called you out on it.

"You doin okay over their babe? You keep moving and you already bumped your boney elbow into my ribs like four times already" he said jokingly but you knew that it had real concern.

'Did you not like the movie? Were you hurt? Was something wrong? Was the movie making you nervous? Was him being so close to you making you nervous?' All of these questions were swimmimg through Eddie's head and making him nervous.

"No! No, no, no, I'm fine! Completely fine. Never been finer actually." You said very with a fake laugh at the end

Eddie looked at you with a "bitch please" look and you knew you were busted.

You had hoped your incredible lying skills would get you out of this situation but the unfortunately let you down. 'How did he know I was lying' you thought to yourself not realizing that a deaf two day old squirrel could somehow lie better than you.

'Well since you've already got his attention might as well get it over with' you finally thought after a few seconds of staring at him hoping that he'd just change the subject but god never wanted you to have it easy apparently.

"Um actually I did want to tell you something....it's been bugging me for a couple of weeks and well um how do I put this...." You trailed off try to find a way for it not to sound weird, not realizing you just made Eddie's blood run cold.

"Are you.....are you brehaking up with mhe?" Eddie asked with a small laugh trying to play it off like he wasn't worried.

But you could see the fear in his eyes. You could see how the thought of you leaving him broke his very soul and so you obviously had to shoot that down.

"What?! God no! No. Never Eddie. Your the best thing that has ever happened to me Eds. I love you so much, please understand that." You told him while grabbing his shoulders and having him fully face you so he could see the sincerity in your eyes.

"Pshhhh I knew that. I was just messing around" he liked, with the sound of relief evident in his voice. "So what were you going to tell me before I EVER so rudely interupted you?" Now promptly crawling on top of you with his hands holding his head up on your stomach, after he pushed you onto your back, and was kicking his feet in back of him.

He was obviously trying to lighten the mood back up and you couldn't have been more thankful for it. You don't think you'd be able to confess to him with the atmosphere being so thick. So finally you built up the courage (again) and told him.

You told him all about your age regression. You first explained to him what it was, seeing the confusion written all over his face. You told him why others use it and how there are different age ranges and you told him your's.

As you were speaking, Eddie slowly began to sit back up, he was trying to understand everything you were telling him with one of his eyebrows raising in deep concentration. You couldn't tell if it was a good thing or a bad thing and you prayed it was the former.

As you finished, you looked into his eyes, having looked away in shame at what you were telling him as if it were some great crime you have had just committed.

After a few seconds of silence Eddie asked; "Sooooo..... What um....what does this mean for us?" He didn't really know what to say.

"Well I mean hopefully we can just.... Ya know...... Go back to normal....." You answered sheepishly "But I completely understand if you don't want to! I know that this is probably not what you wanted and I know you didn't sign up for this but like I think I can hold it in if that makes you feel better. Like maybe if I ever feel myself slipping I could just ya know try to calm myself down and I'll go away from you and and it'll be fine. But like I get if it makes you uncomfortable and if you wanna leave me forever cause I act like a kid and all so don't feel bad or or anything cause that's what I want and-" You start to ramble trying to make Eddie feel better about the giant bomb shell you just dropped on him. And as you do so you can feel yourself slipping.

As your about to go into a little space filled panic attack Eddie interrupts you.

"Wow wow wow! Calm down babe, calm down" Eddie grabs your shoulders and pulls you into a hug and gently rubs your back and head as you start to cry from getting so overwhelmed.

"I'm not breaking up with you, especially over something so little, just like how your not breaking up with me. I couldn't care less is you become littler that you are. When I asked 'what does this mean for us' I meant like if you wanted me to take care of you or something? Now that I'm thinking about it, I probably should have just said that.... Huh....." He said.

(Look he's not the smartest person in the world but he's your boyfriend so now you gotta deal with it)

"So....yous still lobe me?" You asked sheepishly looking up from where you buried your head in his neck.

You had finally slipped into little space at this point.

"To the moon and back little Rockstar" he answered giving you a big fat kiss on your cheek.

He then looked up from the side of your face with and imaginary light bulb flickering on on top of his head.

"Hey! That'll be you new little nickname now! 'Little rockstar'! It's perfect. Well as long as your cool with it" he said looking down at you.

You nodded quickly showing your new found love for your new nickname.

The rest of the night went pretty smoothly. Eddie laid back on his back with you on his stomach and him holding you with you stomach on top of his and his hands cradling you. You didn't mind the movie that was playing seeing how you were too exhausted to even watch it at this point. You fell into a deep sleep now knowing how Eddie fully support you.

Fast forward to a couple days later and Eddie Munson is slamming his fist repeatedly as hard as he can on you door. Thankfully your parents aren't home (because this is a fanfic and they never seem to live in the same house as you unless it's to sell you to one direction or something but I digress) so you wip the door open to reveal a slight out of breath and incredibly sweaty Eddie with a few bags in his hands.

"Greetings my beloved! I have returned to your humble abode baring gifts!" He said and if it weren't for the fact that he was the love of your life, you would have slammed the door in his face for being so cringy.

Fortunately for him, you loved him so much, so you just rolled your eyes with a smile on your face and let him in. He did a little bow, thanking you, and entered you home.

"Not only did I bring a disgusting amount of treats like candy and cookies and what not. But I also got you this!" He exclaimed.

Pulled from the bag was an adorable black bat plushy. It had big ears and giant eyes with it wings open as if it were flying. It was smiling at you and had little bits of glitter on it representing the night sky with the glitter as stars.

Seeing this you were instantly bitch slapped into little space.

"For me?" You asked hopefully pointing at yourself. Because obviously he bought it for the OTHER person in your house.

"Yes sweet heart, it's for you" Eddie answered you, placing the plushy in you hands.

You started at it for a moment and then ran into Eddie, almost running him over, and gave him a big ole bear hug.

"I lobe it! I lobe it! I lobe it! Thank yous, thank yous, thank yous!" You yelled excitedly.

"Y-your welcome" Eddie wheezed, slowly loosing oxygen and you squeezed it out of him.

"So!" Said Eddie after you finally released him from your death grip "what's there name gonna be?"

You thought for a couple seconds before looking at him with a grin on your face.

"Midnigh" you answered confidently.

"Midnight huh?" Eddie asked pulling you onto the couch to lay with him after he got out some cookies and started feeding them to you.

"Mmhm" you said mouth full of cookie.

"Well I think that's a great name little Rockstar." Eddie said finally with a content smile on his face.

Okay so I have a some reasons why I haven't written in a while to which I shall answer good news bad news style but some of it is kinda gross soooo

TRIGGER WARNING

Good news: I completed a fic and have a few more requested to keep them coming out. Bad news: my wisdom teeth are FINALLY coming in. Good news: none of my teeth hurt. Bad news: where one of my bottom wisdom tooth was coming the gum that was over it I guess got infected and started to inflame and got so big to the point where I couldn't close my mouth properly. Good news: it's gone! Bad news: it popped in my mouth leaving a disgusting tastes and stained my side of my tounge where it was yellow and was very painful after and I could eat on that side of my mouth. Good news: after that I went to six flags with my dad, brother, and younger cousin. Bad news: it was 98 degrees out and the feel was I think 103. Good news: because of the heat almost no one was there and we got to go on rides with little wait time. Bad news: we were out their for about 5 hours and I got sun sick with a bad headache and the feeling of needing to throw up. Good news: I was fine the next day and still am now. Thanks, it's good to see someone still cares about Billy x Camila! Tbh I've been thinking that I probably misunderstood the story, which is not unlike me with the way my mind works, but the thing is, I was only in it bc of Sam Claflin. I would never have had picked the book up if he hadn't been cast in the series. I barely care about real 70s bands, never mind fictional, and I didn't know anything about Fleetwood Mac (in fact I only started listening to them bc of DJATS and, funnily enough, I saw that 1997 performance on TV which they just happened to show at the time when the filming of DJATS was going on--but I didn't think anything of it. Don't those two hate each other?). That's my kind of longwinded way of saying that I had no idea I was supposed to ship Daisy and Billy, especially as I rooted for Camila right from the beginning. I'm also much older than majority of the fandom and have one failed marriage under my belt already, so I see things differently.

I think that Camila liked the rockstar side of Billy, hence why she was able to overlook some things (after all, this was the 70s), bc she knew he would always come home to her. Relationships are laundry and taxes, not omG tHE wAY thEY LooK aT eAcH OthEr on stage, but I guess that's not cool enough for the show. I'm not a fanfic person, actually, I read maybe about three a year (and that's only short ones) and with the exception of Jane Eyre, I don't write any (I prefer writing original). Occasionally I check AO3 for some particular piece of media or a ship, just to see what's there (in fact I did so twice in the last week, once for a particular pairing in a L.M. Montgomery book and once for all The Count of Monte Cristo fics, Sam's next project). I've never looked at any DJATS fics ever and I'd rather not know. So I didn't know there were fics that made Billy a bad father. I suppose people can write what they want, if they need to make Billy worse for their preferred ship to exist, well, they're free to do so, if it makes them happy. I loathe cheap, lazy plot devices and villainisation for the sake of making the protagonist look better, or making the reader/viewer care about the author's favourite pairing. I tend to feel the exact opposite of what the writer(s) want me to feel. So merely hearing about the Billy as bad father fics makes me hate them, lol.

It's not true, anyway. The show didn't exactly do Billy any favours with erasing the twins, bc in the book, he was with Camila while she was giving birth to them, holding her hand etc, in contrast to Julia's birth. But even so, we have some evidence of him being a better dad, like when he rang Camila while on the Aurora tour and wanted to hear Julia just sleeping. They could have done more and I suspect they really did, that there were more scenes that they eventually cut. Idk, but this picture just makes me think there must have been more. Who knows...

So while he may not have been the world's best dad, he was not a bad one either. After all, as I started saying lately, (about real people but it goes for fictional too), people can be more than one thing.

Saying that, Eddie gives me mild incel vibes. If Camila wanted to be with Eddie, she'd be with him. "I'd choose you over everyone" means nothing, it's just words. It was a bit of a lazy shortcut for Camila to cheat with him, but that's just one of the show's sins. They gave Camila a creative profession and then did a fuck all with it, like why couldn't she have connected with a fellow photographer? Like that dude she talked to in the dark room or whoever it was.

I wonder if soon we'll start seeing articles on Screen Rant et al about how "wrong we were to ship Billy and Daisy and how emotional affairs ruin the lives of everyone around them" or something similar. More likely, though, the show will fade into obscurity which I will honestly be thankful for. I'm glad that Sam got what he needed out of it (he talked about it in interviews) and I'm glad Camila got some recognition, she just won a breakthrough award at Critics Choice and I'm glad Suki and the others got to be in it and the songs are good, and I wish them well, and I wish the writers a very hope your pens break and drafts get deleted and I hope Hello Sunshine burns down.

hi! this ask has a couple things so apologies in advance if this gets long lol

first, i wanted to ask about the coma buck theory. i've only recently watched the show, i've been in the fandom for about a month (mostly lurking and reblogging gifs lol). since day one i've noticed that 'buck will go into coma in 6b' seems to be something a lot of people believe, so if you know, where did that theory come from? i personally couldn't think of anything in the show that seemed to point to that, and and i also didn't find any posts discussing this in any detail, it seems like a collective headcanon more than anything to me. but i'm definitely very curious, so if this is something that you can see happening, could you please share your thoughts?

also this second part of this ask is just me getting excited bc i saw you mention the 309 kitchen scene in a recent ask and i've been dying to scream about it to someone lol. because oh my god, right??? idk how intentional that was or maybe the actors just happen to have good chemistry, idk anything but i just know that i had the weirdest cognitive dissonance moment while watching that scene. like just, the way buck steps towards eddie, my entire body sort of braced in excitement for a kiss, and like, that moment lasted for only about a quarter of a second but i actually had to pause because while watching that scene i'd literally forgotten that they're not actually together, and i was just like. wait. what happened. what? and just. aaaaaaahhh it was such a great scene and they're just so great and perfect together and like if the writers weren't planning on their chemistry they've written themselves into a corner bc they're just so perfect for each other, literally the family they've chosen, and just. aaah i love them sm😅

So for the first part, I kind of explained my experience of seeing the coma!Buck theory taking shape in the fandom here.

As for the 309 kitchen scene, I love screaming about it, so yeeeeees, I'm glad we get to together! XD I personally am convinced that the 309 sexual tension was intentional. Why? Because the scene doesn't work without it. There's a joke they wanted to play, where they build our expectations towards some sort of an explosion between these two characters, but then instead of giving us that, they provide comic relief through letting a different kind of scene play out, a light-hearted one, comical in nature, that would make us smile (Buddifer playing video games together). But this only works if they REALLY build up the tension and if we REALLY ask ourselves whether there's going to be a blow up of some kind on our screens in a second. And while the scene plays around the idea that maybe Buddie will physically fight each other, we all know they were not. Buck had just apologized to Eddie again, he just showed how much he cares, and Eddie was visibly affected and moved by this, and their whole talk vibrates with how much they care about each other, I don't think anyone really believed they were gonna start punching each other. So if for the comic bit to work, the tension has to be real, and the aggressive/violent tension isn't, what made the comedy there work? The sexual tension. They HAD to turn to the implication of sexual tension, otherwise that whole thing falls flat. So yes, this is why I'm sure they did THAT intentionally. And your reaction, which you so perfectly described? It's not just yours. I went through it as well, and I'm sure we're not the only ones, because we were supposed to embrace for impact.

And I'm with you, I very much believe 911 has written itself into a corner. No one would ever work with either Buck or Eddie as well as the other one does. Eddie was originally supposed to be Maddie's Love Interest, but the second they changed course on that, they clearly built Eddie's introduction with Oliver and Ryan's chemistry in mind. They already saw enough of it to know that making us care about Eddie through Buck's eyes would work. So I'm also convinced if they wrote themselves into a corner, it's a corner of their own making, know what I mean?

12: Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

I’m trying to think of an arc that’s unpopular…Maybe Eddie? Just Eddie in general, because I feel like most people either hate that he died (or the way he died) because they love him and think it was a shitty plot for him, or they’re indifferent to him as a character so they’re upset that the show even introduced him in the first place just to die (instead of focusing on other original main characters.)

But I have a unique relationship to his story-line, in which I didn’t really care for him when he was introduced (the way he acted towards the party made it seem like he’s just the equal opposite of the conservative jocks where you still have to conform to his specific “anti-conformist” ideals to be accepted—Lucas playing basketball is demeaned and he’s excluded from the Hellfire session bc of it), and I could tell he was gonna die obviously so I didn’t want to bother to get attached either (even when he had an admittedly sweet scene with Chrissy in the woods.) But he slowly grew on me towards the end of the season until he finally died and that was the very exact point where I actually cared enough about him to cry over his death.

So it was an interesting sort of situation TO ME where the peak of a character’s arc was just finally making you like them once they have no time left for this world. Especially when you knew they were gonna die the whole time and it was just unavoidable, but you still managed to grieve for it.

Could they have figured out a way to drive the Hawkins plot of s4 without creating Eddie? Probably. Do I think the show suffered for spending time introducing a character who was written to die? Not really. It was an interesting/unique experience for me the way his arc played out. Besides, his death is going to affect characters (especially Dustin) in season 5. Bob was also written as a one-season-and-he’s-dead character and I still appreciate his role and that grief was still felt by Joyce through s4, like Nancy’s grief for Barb, etc.

18. Does not shipping something ‘popular’ mean you’re in denial and/or biased?

On a general basis, no, not at all. Everyone doesn’t have the same taste in ships whether something is canon or popular or not. Simply not shipping something isn’t really within a person’s control just like not enjoying a certain food or music style, it’s just down to personal taste. There doesn’t need to be mental gymnastics involved (like being in denial) to not liking a certain thing.

That said, if someone is hardcore against a certain popular ship that is...literally not harming anybody, like for example a super innocent childhood-best-friends-to-lovers trope with two boys in the 80s, and they absolutely refuse to believe there’s even a chance that ship could be canon and are really mad that it became the biggest ship in the fanbase after the 4th season of the show when one of the characters involved was confirmed to be in love with the other…idk they might have some biases to uncover and deal with?

(Anti-Bylers get some help challenge. You don’t have to ship it, but don’t be homophobic. If you just don’t ship it, but accept that its canonization would be a win for gay representation, you’re cool.)

19. What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom?

People who deny that Billy was a racist abuser just because he was abused himself and was still young when he died. I mean. That one’s low-hanging fruit. But tbh I don’t really consider his fans part of the same fanbase as me even though we technically like the same show…I feel like they’re in their own group that’s cordoned off from the rational world? They don’t usually cross my path, I just know they exist...

So what I hate most about the side of the fanbase that I actually interact with—which is not the racists/homophobes/abuse apologists/etc. More the fans of the party, like Byler side of tumblr? I feel like people vague-blog here a lot. (Tbf nobody’s innocent because even I’ve seen a post with a headcanon/opinion I disagreed with and then made my own post with my contrary opinion, not out of spite but in a light-hearted/humorous way.)

Which I’m sure is probably better than directly arguing with people on their own posts if they weren’t specifically seeking a discussion/debate, that’s just tumblr culture (“don’t agree? make your own post”) but the way some people act like their interpretation of the show is the only correct one, and anyone who sees it differently is obviously missing something. Until the show is complete, a lot of what we talk about and theorize could be proven otherwise, so idk. It would be nice if people were more respectful of others’ ideas. We’re all on the same team here.

Least shippable character?

Ooh I’m not gonna say something easy & obvious like any of the antagonists (because if anybody is shipping Brenner or Henry or Billy with anyone I’m side-eying hard, and I think that’s a pretty popular opinion except for amongst B*lly stans 💀)

Out of the main characters, I’m gonna be so honest and controversial and brave rn and say fan-favorite Steve is actually not super shippable. Despite Steve’s whole appeal as the apparently most-shippable figure in the fanbase (I mean, you’ve got the Steddies and Stancys and H*rringroves and Stonathans—and even romantic Stobins if they exist which I don’t like to believe is possible🤮) And I kinda do like Stonathan/Stoncy in a crack-shippy way, not super seriously, but otherwise?? He’s a good dude and he deserves to live his dream life with a wife and 6 nuggets in the future, but I don’t think that’s any of the characters we’ve met in the show (certainly not Nancy.) I don’t seriously ship him with anyone.

Honorable mention is Dustin, but just because I feel like the rest of the party members I have a really strong ship for with another main character (Byler, Lumax, Elmax) whereas Dustin has his own solid long-distance relationship with Suzie instead of a potentially romantic bond with any of the other party members. So like Duzie is cute enough that I don’t need to pair Dustin off with anyone else, but bc Suzie isn’t super relevant on her own and they don’t have much screen-time together (the s3 duet being amazing but that’s all they have) I also don’t really think about them enough to have a strong OTP status for them?? They’re there, they’re cute, it’s whatever.

I also feel like with Steve and Dustin often being paired together as a platonic, brotherly duo of sorts—they don’t strike me as very shippable in canon because if they’re not in group settings they’re just paired together (whereas Byler, Jopper, Jancy, Lumax and even Elmax in s3 are often getting solo scenes/plots together.) Unless you actually really enjoy Stancy for some reason, bc they’ve had solo “romantic” time, but to me they’ve been specifically designed/presented to not be good together so? Idk idk

okay but while I have you here, I would like to talk to everyone about what exactly has been going on with cm punk since he started. let’s take a look at his key matches:

and now, Hangman Adam Page.

something that I like about the way his feud with Hangman has been going, is that Hangman is the Only One of these men that HASN’T admitted to Punk being his idol. Yes, even Eddie admitted this in that bomb ass promo he had in the ring with Punk.

I think it’s important to note that, because Hangman has almost never come out and said who his idols are. I believe I’ve heard him name a few much older names in interviews, and then as well, the Hardy Boys. But in kayfabe? Not a one, as far as AEW goes (I don’t know about before then).

And I think that’s something that deep down, maybe Punk actually Does kind of, care about? A little bit? With Darby it was mutual respect, with Eddie it was No Respect, and with MJF it was respect that corrupted into hatred.

So as much as Punk thinks he’s in Hangman’s head (as he said on commentary Wednesday night, “I’m in his head! I’ve got him right where I want him!”), I think it’s important to give a little credit to Hangman, because he’s the one person who’s decided I don’t give a shit about CM Punk either way, I’m just here to win a match and fuck that guy I guess. He decided the best course of action with a guy like Punk was to let him know, listen, I don’t care who you think you are, best in the world, etc, what’s important is I will beat you. In the ring. And yeah, it’s a bit risky. The cowboy is a risky kinda guy but perhaps this was an insight into him trying to, I dunno, do things a little differently than everybody else.

Or maybe he’s just lying to himself again in order to make it through this challenge, idk. Maybe if he doesn’t acknowledge Punk for who he is (to himself and everyone else), then perhaps that makes him Not That, and therefore, easier to put down in the end.

i know ive talked about this a million times before but im gonna talk about it again because it came up when i was perusing my roxy music pages on fb earlier (the only thing i use fb for) so here i go

TL;DR later

apparently bryan didnt necessarily WANT to be the sole center of attention in roxy music? like supposedly at the beginning it was supposed to feature everyone sort of equally but the management pushed for bryan to be the lead, but i cant help but feel like this would have happened anyway given enough time. even though bryan interviews poorly (he's shy and gets tongue-tied easily- comments made by interviewers and bryan himself) being the singer he is kind of by default the one that gets the attention put on him, so to me im unsurprised that he gets the bulk of the attention, i just dont understand why its SO one-sided. clearly /I/ see the value in phil and andy and i think theyre just as interesting and important to the band as bryan but i cant for the life of me figure out why so few other people feel that way.

my best guess is that it's because bryan writes lyrics and therefor appears to be their voice and therefore their identity, but just because he plays a significant role in their work doesnt mean that andy and phil's work is any less valuable you know? like if you take either of them away you're taking away huge parts of roxy, and without either of them it wouldnt be the same. you can take away eddie and gary and john wetton and even eno and paul (sorry paul) and you still have roxy music- and thats because its them three TOGETHER that makes roxy music roxy music. arguably, johnny gustafson could make them four- i think thats a fair argument to make but then again idk anybody trying to make that argument lol. i personally think they were strongest with johnny but they were very much still roxy without him, so i maintain that roxy music, at the end of the day, is really three dudes working together, and they should all be a part of the roxy discussion, not just bryan.

so, what is it that people see in bryan that they dont see in andy and phil? is it JUST because they dont sing lead? is it because they're not as good looking as bryan? his looks are questionable at best imo. i dont think hes all that conventionally good looking but i get the appeal. but still, i dont think that warrants the spotlight he gets. i dont think anything about him warrants that attention. there is no one like andy mackay in the rock world and yet the andy's page on fb has 3k likes, whereas bryan's has 400k likes. that's preposterous to me.

i acknowledge bryan's solo work, thats all well and good, and perhaps thats what makes him more popular as far as numbers, but when it comes down to roxy music the band, the attention he gets is unwarranted. its one thing to be a bryan ferry fan, it's another to be a roxy music fan where the only person you care to acknowledge is bryan. those people are not really fans of roxy music and i dislike them for that because they claim to be when they only have eyes for bryan, which, as i have made clear, is unfair and untrue. you cant be a roxy music fan and ONLY care for bryan, because if you DO like roxy music's music that much, you by default like andy and phil too, so why not give them credit? thats what i fail to understand.

TL;DR: bryan ferry is a loser and idk why people like him soooo much more than andy mackay and phil manzanera.

believe it or not this is only a fraction of what i have to say about roxy music and their fans. i think the dynamic is really interesting and i like getting angry about things i love lol
