DpXDc au where Danny by luck be it good or bad becomes the city spirit of Gotham.
He can leave the city and all but it hurts him due to unbelievable levels of homesickness. Being near the bats whenever he leaves helps a bit.
The bats and birds inherit some abilities which help with stealth, some slight increase in physical prowess, slight gliding and immortality level of healing factor in Gotham. Thankfully Constantine notices and explains it.
Danny always knows everything about Gotham. From people's personal history to their location and current activities.
Gotham is beyond cursed but what the bats are doing weakens the curses bit by bit. They are still a burden though.
Danny has conned the conman Constantine himself into keeping an eye on the curses too and to try remove any of them completely once they feel weak enough. No the bats and birds don't know. Yes they are beyond confused once the Joker out of the blue turns sane and gets put on death row.
Alfred somehow gets cursed into immorality and no one is touching that curse.
Unemployment percentage lowers and lowers slowly but steadily and at some point the batfam have no more goons and loons to fight. Red Hood's goons are registered as employed the very moment they get downgraded to street kid babysitters and worker ladies bodyguards because suddenly there are no more drugs shipped in Gotham.
So out of boredom the batfam annoyed Poison Ivy into creating a forest around half of Gotham, and a fruit and vegetable garden around the other half of Gotham and the most beautiful botanical garden in the center of Gotham.
That leads to lessening pollution, food prices and crime rate being half of what it used to be.
At this point the batfam are annoying their villains to find more legal ways to do what they want to do out of pure boredom. After all there is one theft tried a month at most, the villains have no goons, the Joker is dead and Ivy and Harley are happily tending to lord knows how many acres of land, there are no drug deals to take down, kids and ladies are safer than ever in Gotham and Tim is getting to sleep for 4 hours a day!
The bats create a show for the Riddler to host. He gets to ask all of his riddles and people are actually engaged and enjoying themselves!
Suddenly Red Robin invades Mr. Freeze's Lab, muttering about getting too much sleep and starts working on making a serum to save Nora Fries. And all Mr. Freeze can do is watch and wonder if Red Robin has lost his marbles as he effortlessly heals his wife.
Waylon Jones says 'fuck it' and joins Ivy and Harley and the gothamites slowly start treating him like a person.
Black mask hisses like a cat and leaves permanently with Danny chasing him out with an ecto-broom.
Danny helps Harvey Dent find healthier copying mechanisms.
Scarecrow moves to Amity Park and sets up shop there. Enough said.
And so on and so on.
Eventually Gotham becomes a gothic sunshine city and the batfam are bored to death aside from superhero club Things and Tim is complaining about having a regular human sleep schedule.
Danny is a happy little noodle man due to lack of curses weighting on him.

Hey! How would father!Michael Myers feel about Eddie Gluskin wanting Michael's 25 year old daughter who is also a patient in the asylum to be his wife?
How are you?
(I am fine. How about you ?)
Tumblr media
It started the day when you were transferred from another asylum to St Louis. Female patients weren’t usually allowed, but you were made an exception because Michael wouldn’t go anywhere without his precious daughter. You had grown up surrounded by slashers and hence, not much scared you.
When Eddie Gluskin was admitted in St Louis, he wasn’t introduced to you because…well…Michael.
But one day, you happened to wake up before your father and come down for some breakfast when you accidentally met Eddie. You were both stunned. You had never met before and Eddie wasn’t even aware that there were any women around other than the nurses.
Your eyes met and once the shock over, he decided to pretend being too busy with his coffee to speak. You quickly realised it was best not to stare, so you decided to just go toast yourself some slices of bread for breakfast.
There was silence.
Eddie glanced a few times in your direction, but didn’t speak a word. Neither did you. Michael had taught you not to speak to strangers, so you didn’t. You hence didn’t speak until you were back upstairs and took a deep breath. He was…gorgeous. You decided not to speak to your father about that little episode.
He wouldn’t have understood and besides…you probably wouldn’t see him again.
But then, you started waking up early everyday to get breakfast and Eddie was there—like clockwork. You never spoke, but awkward silence turned to shy smiles and little glances here and there…until one day.
You were about to get back to your room when you stopped dead in your tracks and looked down at the pancakes in your plate…Surely, Michael would not mind being short of a few, right ? You took a deep breath and backtracked to sit down next to him. If he was surprised, he didn’t show it.
"…You like pancakes ?" You asked. He remained silent for a moment before looking at you. He stayed silent for a moment before he finally smiled.
"I do enjoy a good pancake. Would you care to share ?"
Tumblr media
It was the first time you were hearing his voice. It sounded soft and a little hushed—as if he wasn’t used of using it all that much. You smiled back.
"Not at all." You then proceeded to serve him pancakes and Eddie smiled again before digging in.
"I’m Y/N Myers by the way." You introduced yourself and his pale blue eyes looked up at you.
"Eddie. Eddie Gluskin."
From that day onwards, you started spending time with Eddie.
You started watching him and tried to understand who he really was. Eddie was respectful and polite and seemed like the perfect gentleman. You didn’t know why a man like him would be admitted to a mental institution—especially since he seemed so clear-minded.
From what you had heard, he had just transferred from a place called Mount Massive asylum. He hadn’t brought it up though, so you guessed that it wasn’t a fond memory of his. You couldn’t have access to files, but you had heard nurses speak about a certain ‘Waylon Park’. Once you started your research, you were able to understand what his past was and why he was here.
But, you were not one to judge too quickly, especially being Michael’s daughter offered you perspective and that not everything was as it seemed.
The more you shared, the closer you got…until one day, Eddie was the one preparing breakfast and before you could protest, he had invited you to sit down and get a taste. You sat down and started eating with a grin on your face and Eddie seemed happy that you’d eat his food.
"Good, darling. Really good." He cooed and you smiled—completely oblivious…until your vision started faltering and you realised that Eddie had surely drugged you. In a matter of seconds, you were asleep. He then picked you up bridal style and smirked as he proceeded to carry you to his bedroom.
"Sleep soundly, my darling. Sweet dreams."
———————————————————————
After your ‘disappearance’, Michael was desperate and he knocked at every door, searched every dark spot in the entire asylum. He could not find you anywhere and finally called your name over and over again. He usually never used his voice, but this was an emergency. Finally…he got news.
Eddie came to him with a letter.
An invitation to your wedding.
"…"
Michael looked up at him in shock. He couldn’t believe it and before anyone could stop him, he had taken Eddie by the throat and threw him against a wall.
"You took her ?!"
He then proceeded to wrap his hand around Eddie’s throat and squeezed. But, Eddie wasn’t afraid. Eddie took a moment before standing back up and claiming:
"We are in love…"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Michael remained silent for a moment before bashing Eddie’s head against the wall.
"WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER ?!"
Suddenly, nurses and doctors and guards came in to stop the fight and some of them had to tackle down Michael to make him stop turning Eddie’s head into mush. Michael’s knuckles had turned red by the time he was dragged out of the room.
Fortunately, you were found in Eddie’s room…in a closet. He had tied you up and drugged you. Fortunately, no harm was done to you and you were brought back to Michael safe and sound.
But you could not help yourself to ask why.
Why had he done this ?
So, you went to his cell.
"…Eddie ?" There was no movement for a couple of minutes before Eddie slowly turned his head towards you and smiled.
"Darling."
You sighed before asking him.
"Why ? Why did you do this ? I thought we were friends."
Eddie clicked his tongue.
"Please, darling. Do not insult me. You knew what I wanted. I am a patient, just as much as you. I would assume you already knew about me and the reasons that brought me here, no ?"
You shuddered at the look he gave you.
"…You knew I liked you. You could have waited." You told him with a sad smile and Eddie laughed.
"Oh my sweet sweet darling." He suddenly grabbed your arm and pulled you closer. "I have WAITED my entire existence to find my perfect wife. And now that I have finally found you…my ALMOST perfect wife…You expect me to wait some more ?"
He smirked and your heart paced rapidly in your chest. He released you and you took a few steps back.
"A-Almost ?" You asked and he chuckled.
"Yes. Almost. You will be my wife. But first, we have got to get rid of your FATHER, darling."
Your eyes widened in shock and you shook your head. He tilted his head and his smirk softened as his eyes bored into yours.
"Don’t you worry, my love. I will be the one taking care of everything for you…We will soon be together. As it was intended. You and I. Me and my sweet wife…Just wait for me, as I have waited for you."

@am4zon said "She's back." The holder of truth rarely must ask for clarification. She knows Barbara Ann, the Cheetah, has returned, just as she knows the layers of her own soul. There was a time when she loved Barbara Ann with everything in her, and that is a time that has yet to end. Di tries for a smile, but sadness weighs it down. "Cleo is happy." Another statement; she's not asking. Of course the girl wants her mother. Diana sits next to Waylon and offers him her hand. "But how are you feeling, Waylon?"
cheetah is back. cheetah is back and the scent of her fur lingers on his scales; vaguely he wonders if diana can smell it. despite everything, they always reunite like animals --- carnal, primal, hungry. maybe it's fair to call them the creatures they so resemble. he hardly feels like a person when he's with her and, sometimes, he hardly minds. other times, he feels half-sick afterwards. like he's just a pathetic beast that can't let her go no matter how much she hurts him. a dog begging to be kicked again.
waylon can't meet diana's gaze because he feels too guilty. he can't bring himself to take her hand because, once again, he doesn't feel that he deserves the extent of the kindness she shows him. instead he simply sweeps his tail around his ankles, curling it tightly as he tends to do when he's nervous or upset. his hands are fists that clench and unclench repetitively in his lap, like he's trying to grasp any one of the hundred thoughts in his brain that flee before him like silver fish in a muddy pond.
Tumblr media
" cleo idolizes her, " he finally replies, letting out a soft rumble. cleo admires her mother more than anything. it's an almost blind devotion that she inherited from him, and he knows that one day it will upend their daughter's life the way it had upended his. he can only hope that she'll learn from it where he did not. " she don't listen to me anymore. "
waylon turns his head towards her, even if he still won't look her directly in the eye. his rumble turns into a heavy sigh; it drips from his jaws like lead, a weight that he keeps trying to carry even though his arms have long since grown too tired. " i feel the way i always do when she comes 'round. hurt, sad, hopeful. i dunno, di... " i don't know how i'm supposed to feel. i don't know how i want to feel. " i think it'd be better if she killed me, sometimes. like bein' dead would be easier than lovin' her. "

While I've seen plenty of criticisms of Outlast for ableism/stigmatizing mental illness (because your enemies are murder-happy asylum inmates), I honestly beg to differ—at least for the most part. For one thing, only a handful of inmates actually attack you. Most of the other patients there are either in shock or just trying to lay low and stay alive through all the chaos going on around them. Even the more proactive of the non-combatant characters, such as the pyro you encounter in the kitchen, are just trying to get out—and their desperation is made to be pretty relatable. Even the boss characters like Chris Walker and Eddie Gluskin were victims of the asylum. For crying out loud, the Whistleblower DLC opens with Eddie getting dragged into the morphogenic engine kicking and screaming and begging for help—it's what solidifies Waylon Park's determination to take down Murkoff. Even when you find Eddie's files later on and see that, yes, he was already a murderer before he wound up in Mount Massive, that also comes with notes about the sexual abuse he experienced as a child and his denial of it. It doesn't excuse his actions—of course it doesn't—but it shows that he didn't become the way he is from nothing. Furthermore, the entire Mount Massive arc focuses so heavily on the theme of abuse of power. The patients are enduring horrific experimentation at the hands of people like Blair and Trager, and that is what sets up the rest of the story. The people running the show are the catalysts for all hell breaking loose—not the patients, who are instead victims of a system that is exploiting them by pushing them past their mental and physical limits, and has no qualms about treating them as replaceable test subjects. They are already sick people thrust into terrifying circumstances. Some of them were already dangerous to begin with, but most of them were not. They were all in a place that was supposed to help them cope with their conditions and rehabilitate, but instead were exploited and had their issues exacerbated by being traumatized further, and that's part of what makes Outlast terrifying.  So yeah, the portrayal of mentally ill people in Outlast isn't phenomenal, sure, but it goes beyond making all the patients out to be horrible monsters. Most of them are just trying to stay out of all the awful shit going on and stay alive without completely breaking down. The games still makes you feel for those people after you see how desperate and terrified a lot of them are, due mainly because of the abuses they have suffered from the people who were supposed to help them.
Anon this is so fascinating cause I agree with you sm. I think all of this stuff is true. From the way I see it Outlast is an attempt to subvert all the other mental asylum horror stories. Which I think adds all this complexity you're talking about. But while I do think it's more nuanced and better written than contemporaries, I don't think they did a good enough job. The "evil asylum" trope is inherently ableist, and stigmatizing. And I do agree the main source of long term horror in the series is from the incredible abuse the patients suffer- it cannot be ignored that the majority of scary moments aren't from the abuse, but from the patients acting violent and "crazy". And yeah it makes sense why they're violent and "crazy" that doesn't change the fact that the average joe schmoe is gonna go through the game and take away the message that mentally ill people are violent, and scary, and mental health facilities are bad and scary. Which- as someone who's been to a psych ward- I find to be a very bad message. They have their issues but stigmatizing them makes it worse. I think Red Barrels realized this, and for the Whistleblower made more of an effort to emphasize the abuse as a front line horror. Jeremy Blaire, the Walrider, The Morphogenic Engine, etc etc. Although the complaints I have still stand. Overall I agree with you that Outlast is a nuanced portrayal of this trope. That point about how not all of the patients are violent, is one of my favorite parts of Outlast. How they're still humans. And that creates some really great moments, like Someones Playing Piano. But as I've said before I still think it's inadequate I really want people to realize that Outlast being a story about systemic abuse where innocent people are victimized, and Outlast relies on ableism to get it's scares- are two statements that can coexist. I think at this point I should just write a paper about outlast

S.T.A.R.S crew individual reactions to AvP crossover Headcannons(bcs I can't write anything else)
thought I'd try something different, with how individual characters would be effected. What they think of the developments in the chaos crossover I've created. what they think of: Characters, Technology, Xs and Ys, WY(Waylon Yutani).
Chris:
he likes Ripley enough
(totally off topic, but he probably reminds her of Hicks)
If the whole thing happens around the beginning of Chris's story, then he won't have any more reaction to Xs and Ys than he does zombies.
If someone he knows gets chestbursted he's gonna have a personal 'thing' against Xs
Would fight a Y just bcs
Thinks the Y tech is cool, doesn't know how to use it(blows something up)
Greatly dislikes androids
WY is just another thing for him to deal with
he's not too happy for there to be another evil corporation
Jill:
Almost immediately friends with Ripley
Her reaction to there being real live aliens that have nothing to do with Umbrella is gonna be stronger than Chris's
she's freaking out for a few
once she gets it together, she loves Y tech, and she'll probably impress one enough that it'll show her how to use it
wants a shoulder canon so bad
accidentally offends androids, makes jokes about it later
Pissed af at WY
Barry:
I feel like he'd have a ball with a bunch of aliens running around
he's gonna think its really cool that there's other life out there
until its trying to facehug him
He's got no idea what to think of Ripley
Like he's confused as to why she knows what she knows
Gonna make her talk about it once the dust has settled
is upset Ys have better firepower than him
If he's still being threatened by Wesker in this au, then he's gonna harass Wesker to tell what he knows
Wesker:
speaking of Wesker, he's VERY upset with all of this
Isn't fond of Ripley, thinks she's gonna get in the way
is mad that the Xs and Ys are screwing up his data
at the same time, he rlly wants to experiment on Xs and Ys
what kind of crazy BOW could he come up with based on an X or a Y?
How would the viruses even effect them?
Once he's made up his mind to leave Umbrella, his next course of action is to secure specimens to get out of Raccoon City before the nuke drops
He wants a queen X so he can have as many eggs as he needs
And if he doesn't get one now, he'll send Ada to get one
Ys are another story
he knows that they are intelligent and have a society
so they'll be harder to get
he'll probably knock one out and try to clone it
the tech isn't his cup of tea, but you bet your ass he'll use it anyway
it wouldn't be that hard for him to figure out how to use it
He doesn't care much for WY, he's got other plans
and plus WY wants to use Xs, and his thing is viruses
he'll probably want to keep an eye on them though
Isn't fazed by androids, but is awful suspicious of them
Rebecca:
this girl is confusion
she likely encountered Xs and Ys before meeting Ripley
so she thinks this is all part of Umbrella's mess
at least until she meets Ripley
then she's even more confused
she likes Ripley thou
The tech is kinda intimidating to her
she's not gonna mind if her teammates use it
but she doesn't want to
androids creep her out
but she's gonna try her hardest to be nice
(yeah when I say STARS I just mean these five)

This morning we went to Waylon’s morning meeting at school, and I’m so glad I did. Clara was about 8 minutes late to school, which is so very not in my nature, but I’m willing to accept it. It was kind of funny, we went in and Waylon was still at breakfast, so Clara was being all chatty with his teacher and she thought it was the greatest thing. She showed us to Waylon’s desk, and y’all. It was so very Waylon. Like a couple of the other kids desk might have a jacket on their chair or a crayon or two out from the day before. Waylon’s desk had a binder on the floor under the desk, his jacket he’s forgotten to bring home 3 days in a row on the floor next to it. His markers out, his water bottle he’s misplaced since Monday, a book tossed on top of the markers. It was just such a little chaotic space, but it surely felt very Waylon. 😂 He was SO excited when he came in and saw us, and when they did their morning meeting it was so nice to get a little glimpse into his everyday life at school. He was just as talkative and outgoing as I expected, but he did follow directions well. He absolutely wanted to share all of his thoughts on everything, but was a lot better at raising his hand than I expected. Though he did get disappointed when his teacher moved on to the next thing without calling on him (because let’s be honest, no one has time to get all of Waylon’s thoughts on every topic). And it did make me wonder what happens when he doesn’t get his chance to talk and I’m not there to whisper, “she’s moving on, it’s okay,” to get him moving on. Like does he sulk or just persist trying to tell her whatever. I would guess the latter. But either way, he was an enthusiastic participant in the class and only slightly overbearing. I am interested to hear from his teacher about how he’s doing when parent teacher conference time comes around next month. Because we decided to put a hold on officially getting him diagnosed with ADHD until we saw how 1st grade went, because things went so well for the last half of kindergarten once we moved here and we weren’t in a place where we felt comfortable medicating him, his teacher was managing it well in the classroom, and we (along with the specialist we saw) decided that while he could’ve received the diagnosis, we wanted to see what happened this year. But anyway, back to the point of the post, it was well worth going, especially for Waylon’s sake, because he was SO happy to have us there. Then when it was time for us to go, he teared up a little, which was so sweet, but so sad. As soon as we walked out of the classroom, Clara was like, “I really miss my Waylon.” And it was sweet.
Also, I was really impressed by his teacher. I was nervous with another first year teacher. Then the rock to the head incident. But I really liked seeing her in action with the kids. It really gave me more confidence in her.

harley and waylon for the ship meme
Tumblr media
ship meme.
Tumblr media
harley’s a force of nature & is always pulling waylon around unless they’re in danger ( and she doesn’t want to deal with it ) or they’re in the bedroom ⸻ in that regard,  especially, waylon’s more dominant. they both like to snuggle,  but harley’s love language is physical touch,  so harley’s definitely the cuddler ( she’s never not climbing into his lap. ) she’ll big spoon for five minutes before she gets tired of it and climbs over him to be little spoon for the rest of the night.
outside of the bedroom,  they spend a lot of time just doing normal couple things -- the stuff they’ve been robbed of because of what’s happened to them.  long walks ( where it’s safe ),  dinners out ( . . . where it’s safe ),  even little things like cooking together or binging netflix shows.  normal,  boring couple stuff.  harley takes ridiculously long showers,  so she always uses all the hot water,  but she also will always invite waylon to join her, so . . . even longer showers?
the most trivial thing they fight over is probably . . . i dunno.  i’m having a hard time imagining them fighting over stuff that isn’t big.  joker,  the suicide squad . . . those are such big issues i don’t know that they’d want to spend much time fighting other than that.  maybe they bicker a little when harley’s being annoying and insisting that she wants to top / be big spoon / etc when way knowwws she’ll change her mind in three minutes  but that’s more of a ‘ you sure?  you sure harls? ’ playful thing than anything else.  maybe also over harls . . . changing the channel every thirty seconds.
harley certainly doesn’t clean,  but she will hire someone to do it,  once she lives in a place worth cleaning,  so there’s not really a need for waylon to do it,  either.  she’s never made her bed in her life & she only eats takeout so . . . no dishes. waylon picks what they watch because harley , uh ,  will pay attention to the first five minutes of a movie/show and then her attention will turn elsewhere. she forgets about the netflix part of ‘netflix and chill.’ if the heat’s not working, no one will call the landlord ⸻ mostly because waylon doesn’t have one and harley doesn’t exactly want hers to know how much she’s modified her apartment. diy, baby!  they’ll fix the heat themselves.
harley’s stuff is everywhere . . . she doesn’t have a drawer so much as she’s just decided that she lives in way’s place now.  she doesn’t even have a drawer at her own apartment.  messy.  she’s the one that grocery shops most of the time,  but she refuses to go with a list,  so unless way writes her one,  she will just buy whatever catches her eye.  this is often sugary cereal and she never remembers to get normal milk to go with it -- just chocolate,  or,  in march,  that weird green mint flavored kind.
she’s so big on anniversaries that waylon doesn’t have the option of forgetting.  she will remind him every single day for a month. it means so much to her that it would be very very hard for him to forget. she calls him way a lot,  waylon when she’s mad or worried,  croc when they’re with the squad,  just because she’s worried that waller will find some way to use her against him.  in terms of nicknames for her,  harleen is kind of the most intimate thing he can call her ; harley reminds her too much of the joker.
harley pays for dinners pretty much exclusively with money she’s stolen from joker,  and,  when she finally gets a job as a doctor,  with actual,  real money that she’s earned.  it’s a point of pride for her & it really makes her happy,  so while she’ll let him pay sometimes,  she much prefers to do it herself. she’d be a cover thief if she didn’t sleep on top of him,  but she does ( she’s so clingy ),  so there’s not really an opportunity for her to steal all the blankets.
it should be no surprise that harley kissed waylon first ⸻ she’s so much more impulsive than he is,  plus she was . . . probably crying over joker at the time,  which would’ve made it very hard for him to initiate.  she also definitely is the one who was very forward about them taking things further than that and that probably happened very quickly after their first kiss,  because her sex drive’s just . . yeah. that being said,  waylon is the one who would have to have brought up the relationship talk,  because she will not,  not so soon after being dumped by joker.  she’s very sensitive and sad and insecure. harley’s the dirty talker,  not that way can’t be,  but it takes next to nothing to get this girl going.  they could be in the middle of a mission and she’ll just lean over and whisper the most filthy thing imaginable in his ear . . . and somehow she never runs out of inspiration.
harley remembers a lot of things,  but because of the acid,  there are definitely holes in her memories.  the longer they’re together,  the more she relies on him to fill in those gaps -- can convey with just a look that she’s lost and have him guide her back. after they started dating,  harley definitely did a lot of research into his biology ( that wasn’t an innuendo i swear ) to be able to effectively treat him if he gets sick/hurt.  if she’s the one that’s hurt,  he’ll do everything he can to get her to safety.
and in terms of a random headcanon ✨ waylon’s places in the sewers are the first place harley ever feels at home. she’d be happy to stay down there with him for a very long time.

Waylon Yang is at the top of his game, his clothes store is booming growing to level four, and as a side hustle he's been selling teddy bears to Persephone at the toy store. He's also found time to woo a few ladies, enjoying a romantic visit to the Aquarium and some night time visitors. He could get used to this successful bachelor life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dongsool, on the other hand, is enjoying spending more time with his son Perseus, who has visited him a few days after school.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eager to move ahead with adopting his son, Dongsool invites Athena over to speak with her and ask for her to discuss this with Freja. When Athena turns up evidently pregnant, Dongsool isn't sure what to think, and asks her what her plans are for when the babies arrive. Athena shrugs and suggests they would go to live with Freja too, as Perseus had.
Dongsool is quick to think up an alternative. What if she moved in with him, and together they made a family with Perseus and the expectant children. Athena is taken aback, and asks for time to think on his proposal, knowing full well she is not interested at all in committing herself to him or family life, but also that her options are limited.
Eluned did not have the space for two infants at their house, and Freja had just had twins of her own, she was unlikely to sympathise with Athena for a second time, or be willing to take in another two babies right now when someone was willing to parent them.
But in either case, she said she would speak to Freja about Perseus' adoption by Dongsool and give her permission for it to move ahead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dongsool's good news, of course, meant that Waylon had to be given his notice to leave. In the time they had been living together, the two men had become best friends, and Waylong knew that this day was eventually going to come, Dongsool had not stopped talking about Perseus in weeks.
With sadness, and uncertainty, Waylon packed up his sewing machine and his few pieces of furniture, and made his way to the only place he knew he'd be welcome...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rune greeted him from the taxi, and invited him into the home he knew well from the occasional sleepover, realising quickly that his beloved bachelor life was about to turn on its head.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back at Dongsool's, Athena had come to a decision. Realising it was the best course, she accepted his proposal to move in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Over the next few days, preparations were made. Dongsool and Athena visited Perseus, Athena for the first time since the boy was handed to her niece to care for, and made arrangements for him to move home with them. Freja noticed the stark difference between the demeanour of the two parents, with Dongsool doting over Perseus and enjoying hearing all about the art he had made whilst at the home, she saw Athena as standoffish, and unsure of how to interact with her child. But, at the end of the day what more could a foster carer ask for than a child to be reunited with their birth parents and invited back to live in a safe, happy home.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Getting home that evening, Dongsool excitedly shows Perseus his new bedroom, including gaming PC and everything in his favourite colour - black. Perseus was so excited to not only have his own room, but to finally get to live with his parents as he had always wished.

I think you sent this to the wrong blog. But you are so right. I do love media that gives you a monster or a killer an enemy of some sort, but it turns out that the real antagonist is someone else. (Like the movie NOPE. Love that film so much. Do give it a watch if a Sci-Fi Horror Western sounds interesting.) In Outlast you have the patients of Mount Massive but really it's Murkoff using human experimentation on vulnerable people who they believe wouldn't be missed. It's been years since I was last into Outlast, but wasn't Billy's Mom trying to contact him? (After looking it up it turns out that she sold him to Murkoff. He didn't suffer from any disorders. Just another victim to another person's greed like everyone else in Mount Massive.) The portrayal of people with mental disabilities isn't great tbh. You do have so many people who look over the whole experimentation making everyone worse than how they were when they first entered the asylum. But I'm not sure if that's just because people aren't the brightest or if it's because Outlast wasn't obvious enough when saying, "Hey! The people who are trying to kill you weren't always like this! They are victims of the Morphogenic Engine! Which fucks with their vulnerable heads even more!" Once again, it's been a long while since I was into Outlast, so I don't remember how obvious it was when it comes to the story. Overall I feel like the patients shouldn't be taken as representation of what mental illness looks like. Yeah you have the non hostile patients scattered about, but the average player isn't gonna focus on them as people. They end up feel like set pieces in a room to bring up the creep factor of what the hell is going on. Which is kinda gross for me to say, but how often do people think about the rooms of people sitting quietly staring at a static screen? They're too busy focusing on the big guys chasing you down trying to gut you. And saying that the game is ableist for making mentally ill people look like killers. Even though it's Murkoff who's the true villain for abusing these people until they're stuck in a delusional and hostile state. Anyway I feel like I'm making the same point over and over again. Money and greed are the enemies. Not the patients of Mount Massive. Me and my homies hate capitalizing off of the vulnerable. Watch NOPE.

1985 - Neil Young
The first Farm Aid benefit concert was held before a crowd of 80,000 people at the Memorial Stadium in Champaign, Illinois. Organized by Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Neil Young, the event had been spurred on by Bob Dylan's comments at Live Aid earlier in that year that he hoped some of the money would help American farmers. The star studded line-up of country stars included: Alabama, Hoyt Axton, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels Band, John Denver, Bob Dylan, John Fogerty, Vince Gill, Merle Haggard, Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Kris Kristofferson, Loretta Lynn, Roger Miller, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Willie Nelson, Charley Pride, Bonnie Raitt, Kenny Rogers.
1981 - Harry Warren

He wrote over 800 songs including 'I Only Have Eyes For You', (a hit for The Flamingos and Art Garfunkel), ‘You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby’, ‘Jeepers Creepers’, ‘That's Amore’ and ‘Chattanooga Choo Choo’. Warren's songs have been featured in over 300 films.

1962 - The Springfields
The Springfields (Dusty Springfield her brother Tom and their friend, Tim Field) had 'Silver Threads and Golden Needles', enter the US Top 20 and became the first British vocal group to chart that high in America.
1958 - Elvis Presley
After receiving special permission from the US Army, Elvis Presley gave one last press conference at the Military Ocean Terminal in Brooklyn. He then joined the rest of the 3rd Armored Division on the USS General Randall for a voyage to Bremerhaven, Germany.

Hey hey hey ik I'm like super early but what ab a ex batkid (who kinda got the jason Todd treatment) and is now hanging around/being taken in by killer croc, bane , riddler hcs please
Aka, people who have the most dad energy-
Killer Croc + Ex! Bat Kid:
- You fought Waylon as a Bat Kid but you weren't like the others who called him "Lizard Lips", "Ugly", "Scaly" and other childish taunts. You were gentle to him and you showed more compassion than the rest.
- I honestly think that even before your death, you hung out with Waylon a lot or at least tried to outside of fighting. You'd visit him in Arkham, you'd ask how he was doing that day, and scold other people who insulted him. He wasn't sure why but you just seemed to comfortable around him.
- That's why the news of your death was hard on him, because you were so young and so good, and yet you had to die. He respectfully tried to lay off crime after your death, mostly just stealing for necessity and committing a few acts of self-defense, but other than that, he did try to stop. In your honor.
- When he sees you again, he's shocked but he's also concerned as you stumble into the sewers afraid and scared, your old hero suit was tattered, and your eyes were wide and terrified. His first instinct is to take care of you and calm you before he interrogates you about what happened. You clutch onto him and cry and tell him your horrible story, how a mission went terribly wrong and you got trapped and your family didn't even bother to come back for you, that one moment you were dead and the next you weren't. Hes sympathetic and he validates you as he holds you and rocks you like a father would their child.
- Obviously you have beef with your family and while Waylon won't go out of his way to make them pay, since what's done is done, he will stop them from trying to force you to come home or try to deter them from bugging you. Hissing when Damian tries to justify to you what happened, knocking back Bruce when he tries to forcefully bring you back home, and everything.
- He does want you to reconcile with them but also, he thinks they should prove themselves worthy of a second chance because they literally left you to die, by accident or not.
- He also doesn't mind the new company you bring to his sewers and is pretty happy you make yourself at home right away. You hang up posters, you have a cool futon, he stole a few things like an electrical generator for lights for you (he's sorta accustomed to seeing in the dark) and you both do your best to make it home.
- If you wanna be a vigilante, thats fine. Croc knows you still have your streak of running into danger without thinking of yourself but know that he will protectively be with you and/or try to follow you around as best he can. He won't let you down and his biggest fear now is that he makes the same mistake as your other family.
- Will literally go feral if someone hurts you super badly you need to visit the hospital. Hes also there to comfort you when you think about what happened to you, he'll hug you and tell you it isn't your fault, he'll comfort you when you have nightmares. He also totally has a tendency to just nurse whatever injuries you have, he knows nothing about medicine but he'll try his damndest to be something of a family to you, because that's what you are to him.
Bane + Ex Batkid:
- He honestly probably tried to recruit you a lot when you two fought. Kinda like how Ra's admires Tim but less creepy and more parental. Whenever you two faced off as enemies, he didn't hold back but he voiced his admirance for you and your abilities.
- The little one is rather fierce no?
- But seriously Bane loves kids so much and when he heard about what happened to you, HE WAS SO READY TO BREAK THE BAT ALL OVER AGAIN. He had ONE job and it was to keep YOU safe and he failed. Bane makes it very clear to Bruce that it was him who should've died that day and not you.
- When you come back to Gotham, you know you can't just go back to your "family", not after what they did. So you go to the one person who you kinda considered a friend, and he was more than happy to take you in.
- Bane is an EXCELLENT mentor and parental figure. He not only hires the bests therapists or tries to find helpful ways of you coping with your whole "dying and coming back to life" situation, but he's geniunely concerned with the little things about you too. Are you eating enough? Are you sleeping enough?
- If you're not living with him and kinda are just hanging around, expect him to want to check in on you 24/7 or have his men keep their eyes on you and report back to him. Like if they tell him you're not eating enough and you go to your apartment or current place of residence, and there's Bane with some homemade food and he gives you a stern look and is all: "I know you've been skipping meals."
- Then you're left eating in your place as he scolds about the mess while picking up said mess and organizing things and you just smirk and roll your eyes.
- "Who knew the big bad Bane was such a clean freak?"
- "Or maybe it is just because you are a slob, little one, this is why you should stay with me because it is not healthy for one so young to be without discipline and structure-"
- You contrast with his serious and stoic demeanor, being all care free and chill but he also senses that great pain within you. He used to feel that during is time in Peña Duro, that feeling of your father abandoning you and having to live with that pain and dissapointment. He had to fight for everything because no one fought for him, he'll be sure that you won't have to do the same.
- If you want to be a hero or anti-hero, fine, just promise that you'll tell him when you're hurt or that you need help. You've become more than a potential protégé for him, you've become something of a child.
- You and Scandal Savage complaining about your loving adopted father figure but beating the shit out of anyone else who bad mouths him-
- But yeah, no, when he sees Batman: IT WILL BE ON SIGHT and you and your former family may not see eye to eye but you all can't help but find it entertaining when the dads are fighting.
- He also doesn't mind you reconciling with your family but fair warning, just because you choose to forgive them, HE WON'T. The moment they come in, they can see that Bane's eyes behind his mask are following them as if saying: "You hurt them, I break your spine in half like a toothpick."
- Also if you suffer from nightmares or night terrors, I can totally see Bane doing his cute little fatherly assurance he did in Secret Six where he let's you lay on his lap and gently assures you nothing bad will happen to you as long as he's there to protect you.
The Riddler + Ex Bat Kid:
- Unlike Waylon and Bane, EDWARD HATED YOU MORE THAN THE REST OF THOSE COSTUMED BRATS. HELL, HE PROBABLY HATED YOU MORE THAN BATMAN.
- You were so snarky all the time, answering his riddles without having to look them up and teasingly saying: "Is that the best you've got?" Or the annoying way you would easily hack into his CAREFULLY created programs and systems and mess them up with your stupid memes and stuff. You didn't even call him The Riddler, you called him Eddie! LIKE, AT LEAST HAVE SOME RESPECT FOR HIM.
- However during your time together, he did grow quite fond of you. You were like him, he found out, the smartest of your family and not afraid to show it but you were kinda singled out because you were to insufferable to them with your big ego and your tendency to always remind them whose the cleverest out of this clever bunch. So when he heard news about you dying, he became sad.
- He missed the old taunts and the way you mocked him, when he committed crimes he half heartedly wished you'd show up again and call him Eddie and then he'd lecture you on respecting your elders only to be painfully reminded that you were no longer around. He became even more cruel to Batman in his traps and mazes, after all, he let a brilliant mind slip out of this world.
- Yet when you break into one of his bases, casually mock him as he enters the base to check out what triggered the security like nothing changed between you two, he once more feels that mix of frustration and endearment he always kinda had towards you.
- "Yeesh, you look older, Eddie."
- "And you look like you died and went through hell, kid."
- "Eh, something like that."
- You don't really live with Eddie, which he's fine with, he doesn't need a little annoying brat like you poking around his place but he also isn't opposed to when you break in and make yourself at home in there either.
- He can't protect you from Batman or your family if they try to track you down, not with his noodle arms, but he can help you make it harder for them to track down. Not that you'd need much of his help, you're sharp on your own.
- Your ego, however, has actually kinda taken a blow. You were left for dead, even if on accident, and when you come back, they didn't seem to make a big deal out of it and it hurt. Edward understands this low self esteem and he tries to build it up again. So what? They don't know what they're missing! You're still smarter than them! You're still better than them! And you kinda thank him for it.
- He does check in on you and scold you if you aren't taking care of yourself, which is redundant considering this is EDWARD NYGMA we are talking about here. So you two take it upon each other to try and keep each other on track. You're solving cases non stop, he shows up at your house with some take out and eats with you because he's knows you haven't been eating much.
- You find him asleep at his desk and you scoff and shake your head as you carry him to bed and then you doodle on his plans a little, adding helpful notes while also low-key making sure they're insulting.
- "You should move the angle at least 67 degrees, any idiot can see that- Love, (Y/n)."
- Either way, you guys do help each other and do let each other live their lives, he's not gonna dictate what you do and play parent, but he is at least gonna make sure you don't die again. Whether its literal or a reference to the fact you neglect yourself as much as him.

Outlast Fic Recs
Category: Canon-Compliant
Pairing: Waylon Park/Eddie Gluskin
~
Title and Author: Happy Together by SniperAnon (The_Big_Reveal)
Summary: The Walrider does not conveniently arrive to save Waylon from the Engine. When Waylon emerges, he’s not the same person he was before. He felt so much before. So much guilt. Regret. But above all, fear. Choking, all consuming, all devouring fear. He was his fear, nothing inside him but an animal cowering and howling in terror. But there was only so much fear a human being could take while subjected to such torture. Only so much screaming stimulation nerves could take before snapping. Only so far guts could liquefy before there was nothing left.
Now, three grand mal seizures later, Waylon doesn’t feel… anything.
It’s. Liberating.
Word Count: 7k
Status: Oneshot
Notes: This work gives us an AU where the Engine had more of a negative effect on Waylon’s mental stability. If a dark and codependent Weddie relationship is something that you enjoy reading, then this is the fic for you!
~
Title and Author: A Gentleman by Grimmy88
Summary: Eddie chases Waylon and witnesses him plunging headlong into an elevator shaft and injuring his leg. Knowing he can't 'fix' and marry his Darling when she is suffering he takes it upon himself to heal her injury.
Word Count: 29k
Status: Multi- Chapter, Completed
Notes: Who can pass up a doting Eddie? There’s plenty of action, Stockholm syndrome, and hurt in this fic! I love watching as the dynamic shifts between these two trainwrecks and this fic encapsulated this perfectly.
~
Title and Author: Aberration by Wander (yoimwander)
Summary: Eddie flips between two personalities: The cold killer and the manic lover. Waylon has one goal: Get home with all his limbs intact. But the journey is longer than anticipated, and neither of them are prepared for the attachments they create.
Word Count: 36k
Status: Multi-chapter, Incomplete
Notes: This fic is an interesting twist on Eddie’s psychosis. I love that he and the Groom feel like two separate entities inhabiting the same body, and the author does a great job of showing this development to the reader. And poor Waylon gets dragged into the craziness, as per usual. Please go and read this fic, it’s soooooo good!
~
Title and Author: The Beauty of the Cage by SocialDeception
Summary: Waylon Park didn’t think his day could get much worse. At least he didn’t until he’s placed in a cage-like cell with nothing but a few metal bars between himself and Eddie Gluskin. As time passes, Waylon sees only two options left; death, or working together with Gluskin to escape Murkoff once and for all.
Word Count: 55k
Status: Multi-Chapter, Completed
Notes: We get to see the more human side of Eddie in this fic as the two are forced into a tenuous truce in order to survive in close quarters. There’s some super dark themes touched on in the fic (so check the tags before reading) but it is beautifully written and I myself have reread it several times already. Go forth and enjoy this masterpiece!
~
Title and Author: One Who Loves by OneMoreWander
Summary: He has never met anyone like his Darling, so fragile and beautiful. She is his, and he is hers. But in the wake of their escape, this little fantasy begins to crumble and die before his eyes, shattering right outside of his grasp.
Word Count: 121k
Status: Multi-Chapter, Completed
Notes: Eddie is completely enamored in this fic and I adore the dark romance between him and Waylon. The shift of their dynamic from victim and captor to lovers is well paced and believable. Please go and check out this lovely fic!

criminal minds characters + music tastes because you all are boring
i just am clawing at the walls if i have to read about taylor swift songs one more time
jason gideon: i think the show got this one right. big band/crooner music. a bit jazzy now and then. maybe a touch of folk if he’s in the mood but nothing crazy hippie-like. i could see gideon learning the guitar and playing it up at his cabin.
derek morgan: i think morgan has the most diverse music taste of the bau and he’s constantly listening to music so that makes sense. 90s r&b is his SWEET spot, and rap from that era is a close second. but he’s listened to a ton of different stuff: blue-eyed soul, modern hip-hop, classic rock/hair metal when he’s breaking shit in his houses, even alternative rock and poooooossibly some nu-metal influences
aaron hotchner: another one i think the show got right. dad rock to the extreme. sadly probably does actually listen to the beatles. had a ramones/sex pistols/britpunk phase when he was younger but would never admit it. also a fan of older country rock like waylon jennings on occasion, especially in the car
emily prentiss: definitely a big punk kid, even beyond the picture we were shown. prefers the cure to the smiths but siouxsie and the banshees to them both. nowadays listens to a lot of female singer/songwriters and girl bands like the indigo girls, the bangles, the go-gos, etc. but still loves the music of her youth.
penelope garcia: anything bright and loud. it doesn’t necessarily have to be happy; i know that we joke about emily being emo but penny is far more likely by timing to have actually had an emo period. i think she definitely listened to evanescence sometimes and had a bit of a hard rock phase as the black queen. now she leans hard into 80s music and glam rock; loves kate bush, bowie, mr mister, and can get down with emily’s girl bands as well
spencer reid: again, show was pretty accurate, but i think he’d also have a wide music taste because he’d listen to whatever people suggested (like derek telling him to listen to nas). if left to his own devices he’ll just listen to classical and opera though. he’ll talk you through his dream cast of whatever opera you ask
jennifer jareau: definitely had a nu-metal phase where she listened to a ton of like linkin park, breaking benjamin or whatever when she was in college (“i rock” as stated in unknown subject). canonically listened to rage against the machine. for sure leans more towards soft alternative/indie now but plays music from high school when she’s alone and has been known to scream along to a female country kill your husband song when drunk.
tara lewis: we know she listens to classic rock and like, when she says classic rock, it’s everything she can get her hands on and about as broad as it gets under the umbrella, folksy to funk and everything in between — stones to chicago, heart to the commodores, simon & garfunkel to hall & oates.
alex blake: rap. like, the tightest flow, most wordy rap possible. either that or classical instrumental; there’s like no in between, except she’ll also cede to folky 70s stuff (bonus points if it tells a story).
kate callahan: 90s girl pop is the BESTTTT to her. also enjoys a lot of no doubt, avril lavigne, all that good stuff. 70s music (disco mostly), the kind she was raised with, is what she puts on cleaning the house.
luke alvez: i feel like luke is the most into classic metal and rock and roll out of everyone. there’s nothing like a car ride with music blaring and roxy hanging out the window while he sings along. he does listen to some big band music while cooking, though, and his singing voice is way better than he’d ever let on. works out to modern rap playlists on spotify
matt simmons: in my mind matt probably has the “coolest” music taste because he listens to a lot of current alt rock and indie rock. i think matt and kristy would probably enjoy going to concerts together. sometimes they like to embarrass their kids by singing pop songs from the early 90s at the top of their lungs.

Harvey, Penguin, & Killer Croc trying to win the affection of a mer!crush. (if you do music mester him too, cause I just feel like if he’s in this situation he’d call it something along the lines of “Sirening the Siren” )
Harvey Dent:
When he was a kid, he always liked reading pirate stories. Pretending to be a captain, sailing the seven seas, all that fun stuff. But he never believed in any of those old wives’ tales. Until he met you, that is.
He’s not sure what it was about you that he was attracted to. Was it the fact that you were a mermaid? That you were the most beautiful thing he’d ever laid eyes on? That you were sweet and kind, and actually liked spending time with him, and had eyes so deep that he felt like he could drown in them? Maybe...maybe.
Please imagine him trying to teach a mermaid how to play cards. Not only does it give him an “in” with you, but he also gets the chance to showcase how good he is at card games. (Killing two birds with one stone.)
Oswald Cobblepot:
Chances are, he bought you at an auction. You were one of many “exotic” imported goods from across the seas, and you caught his eye straight away. He was never one to believe in “love at first sight,” but there’s a first time for everything, eh?
He builds you your own little emporium to reside in, as a branch-off of his private aquarium. You’ve got everything you could ever desire in there, and he makes sure to visit you as often as he can, under the guise of “checking up” on you (when really, he just wants the excuse to talk with you more).
You know he’d never keep you there, if you really wanted to leave. He’s made that plenty clear. But you always assure him that you’re happy where you are. It’s certainly nicer than being constantly hunted by fishermen and poachers.
Waylon Jones:
He was stalking a fishermen’s boat when you managed to get caught in one of their nets. It didn’t take much to free you from said net, but before he could even get a word out, you bolted. For a while, he was sure that he’d just imagined his encounter with you.
It’s not till he keeps hearing about “sightings” of a mermaid around the bay area that he decides to go hunt you down for himself. And he finds you there, hopelessly lost, scared, and still injured from your previous encounter.
After a...very tense conversation, he manages to convince you that he means you no harm. He even shows you a good hiding spot to stay in, tucked away from prying eyes. Your relationship is a slow, gentle progression from friends to lovers.
Music Meister:
You know that scene in “The Little Mermaid” where Eric sees Ursula pretending to be Ariel walking down the beach and singing and he falls in love with her instantly? Yeah, that’s pretty much what your first encounter is like. Heart-eyes, motherfucker.
Except you’re lounging on a rock, minding your own business, when this random human man appears out of nowhere and starts trying to serenade you! You are confused, bewildered, and oddly flattered.
He takes so much joy in getting to introduce you to human culture--especially musicals (including the aforementioned “Little Mermaid”). Seeing the joy and excitement in your face at the end of every show just makes him fall that much more in love with you.

Can you tell your ideas for Killer Croc episodes? Lets see what you did with the boy
I’d be happy to.
(Tw: Family Abuse, Employee Abuse, Suicide/mentioned/)
Killer Croc debuts in S2E5. It starts with a Batman and Batgirl outside a bank, alarms going off. As the GPD arrive, Batgirl turns to the hulking reptilian mutant that was currently on the ground, cuffed and muzzled.
She starts messing with him, telling him at most criminals would have brought lackeys to do the dirty work, but he came alone. Which either means he’s overconfident or “seriously lacking in the brains department.”
Bruce tells her to stop and she joins his side before three police move Croc into a transport truck. They mock him a bit before speeding off. Alone in the truck, he lets out a crocodilian growl before roaring and tearing himself out from his restraints and the truck itself. He rips off the muzzle as his eyes meet a manhole cover.
Later, Batman is informed from Gordon that three officers have gone missing.
He meets up with Renee Montoya to investigate their last own location. They find signs of struggle by the sewer connection. Bruce puts two and two together and suddenly wishes they had nose plugs.
As they navigate the sewers, Bruce asks her if she knows the police that went missing. Renee says she knows of the three, they don’t seem to be the like able type, but not anything beyond that.
Then they see Killer Croc standing over them, they react in surprise before Croc lets out a growl and releasees a flood of water from a drainage valve. They’re knocked back fat but are able to regain their stance and chase after him. They have a pretty brutal fight that ends with Croc knocking Renee to the ground and slamming Bruce into the wall. Killer Croc disappears deeper into the sewer.
Once they regain their composure, they both agree that he’s their suspect. They start looking for him, but soon they’re attacked but random people in what seems like old blankets.
They hear someone yell, “Stop!” and Killer Croc walks out from the shadows, the people cower behind him.
He asks if they’re here for the police.
They say they are.
Croc says they were hurting his people, as he looks back at them.
Bruce and Renee realize that these are just scared homeless people. Innocent people that were scared.
Scared of them.
Oh.
Batman says that he can get them to a safe place (Bruce Wayne just happens to partially own a nonprofit homeless shelter). Killer Croc has no trust in him, but he says that if Bruce can beat him in a fight, 1 on 1, he’ll let them take him in as long as they help them, but if he wins they leave and don’t bother any of them again.
Batman agrees.
One fight scene later and Bruce won. The people start following Renee as Batman and Killer Croc just… stare at each other. There’s clear consideration in Bruce’s head. Trying to figure out if he actually should take him in.
But then the GPD arrive, surrounding them. Gordon thanks Bats for finding the criminal, saying that they used Renee’s tracker to locate them. Bruce shows no reaction as Croc is cuffed and violently dragged away.
This episode is meant to act as a sort of “last straw” for Renee, a jumpstart for her decision to quit the GCPD and become the Question.
He reappears rather quickly actually, in E7, the Poison Ivy episode, which I already discussed in greater detail. He appears shortly in the opening, being electrocuted by Guards for being “too violent” during his “feeding”. Later he makes sure Poison Ivy gets out during the mass breakout of Arkham.
He gets a major role in S2E15. I talked about him in more detail in my post about my ideas for Poison Ivy episodes, but basically, Waylon has taken the responsibility of watches over an emotionally devastated Pam. He gets her groceries. Complete with being a rock during her teenage mental breakdown.
He finally reappears in S3E6, the third Red Hood episode. Jason is heavily injured at the start of the episode, to the point he passes out on the street. Thankfully, he’s picked up by a certain reptile.
Jason wakes up in Killer Croc’s area, a few other people their as well. Waylon notices Jason’s confuse/panic and says that he brought him here so he doesn’t get hurt. Then Jason realizes his helmet isn’t on him. Waylon says that he took it off to patch Jason up, but he can keep a secret as Jason scrambles to get it back on.
Croc explains that he’s guarding the people here until Batman shows up to take them to the homeless shelter “he has connections with”.
Jason’s wary of him at first but he realizes that Waylon is genuinely trying to help. He tells him he has information on a weapon supply exchange that’ll make Gotham streets even more dangerous. He asks if he’ll help him intercept them.
They show up at the last moment, get a badass fight scene taking them down, and are left with the weapons. They’re more advanced than Jason’s ever seen, he’s in awe of them.
He says he could do serious damage with these.
Waylon asks if that what he really wants to do, cause damage.
He says of course, he’ll crush crime in Gotham, permanently.
Waylon tells Jason what he hasn’t heard in a while, that he’s just a kid. That he can’t fix Gotham by just pretending to be the biggest bad. He can’t always know the best thing to do, especially alone.
Then Croc leaves, leaving Jason alone. He battles with himself, growls, destroyed the weapons, and goes back to his apartment.
He appears again in episode 9, where he and Ivy urge Jason to return to his family. They’re helping him out, acting as the closest thing he has to support. Jason even tries to them “Red Hood & the Outlaws” which they both immediately reject.
His next main focus is in S3E11. Waylon learns about a deal the Penguin is making that could damage Gotham. From his time working with Red Hood, he able to fight his way to proper information on what’s happening.
However, this episode is repeatedly interrupted by flashbacks. The first is just for the audience, where we see who we assume is Waylon’s father experimented with Waylon’s unconscious mother. But the rest are Waylon’s memories. His birth, where his mother died. His father seeing his completely normal appearance and later dying in a car crash, his implied suicide. Him growing scales at an age around 7-9, under the care of his abusive and alcoholic aunt. Being brutally bullied in school. His abuse-filled circus career. Running away and ending up in Gotham.
Oswald is holding a “gala” of gang leaders at the Iceberg Lounge. If his plan is successful, it means nobody could walk, let alone survive on, the streets without being subjected to the Penguin.
Waylon makes his way to him, ready to bite Cobblepot’s head off. Penguin laughs, mocks him, and says he hired security. Bane promptly slams himself through the door. He has a tiny bow tie.
He activates his venom, and we got to see who’s really the strongest Batman villain. (Psst, it’s Killer Croc)
Oswald quickly realizes, oh, he’s going to die.
Until the Bats show up, promptly see that Waylon handled it, and have him turn Oswald and Bane over to them. They make sure Croc gets out before the GPD arrive.
Not his last appearance of course, but his last major role.
