SEA CREATURE- genshin men
Genshin men but they're different types of sea creatures! How do they court you if they can't walk on land?...credits [m.neuvillette on insta]
...scaramouche...xiao...neuvillette...
Tumblr media
Xiao
Xiao was never interested in mortals, let alone those who walked the land.
But there was just something about you that drew him near.
When you went swimming he would keep an eye out for you, watching you from a distance- just in case you were attacked! Not anything creepy...
He always found humans trying to swim funny-looking but when he observed you...he felt something different.
So when once a big wave had pulled you under preventing you from resurfacing he didn't think twice before guiding you back to shore.
He panted heavily, he'd never swam that in his life!
And when you woke up and looked at him he wondered what you would say..or think, would you call him a monster? An ugly creature? Like all the other humans- "are you...an angel?"
His breath hitched in his throat before he let out a scoff "hmpf. Foolish mortal."
He grumbled diving back deep into the ocean before you could say anything or ask him further questions.
This was getting rather tiring... Everyday since then you would come to the beach and scream your lungs out, and he'd blush at all the nicknames you had given him since he'd had not told you his name
"yoohoo~ angel!, my mermaid savior!, my-" "Stop it." you froze..he finally appeared before you, tired of hearing the arsenal of nicknames you had for him.
He glared at you with those sharp eyes of his, but when you looked at him and gave him a bright smile shouting "it's you! You're back! Hah!" he can't help but let his gaze soften...just a bit!
After that, it became routine for you to meet him by the seashore.
Once he started developing feelings for you, he wasn't quite sure on what to do.
He was flustered..you were a land animal, while he was a merman..
He came to the conclusion that the two of you could not be together in any capacity...
But that didn't stop his feelings from growing. Nor did it stop his biased behavior towards you.
He would bring you many sea shells from the ocean depts
One's that could not be found near the shore.
Once he saw that you liked them he started trying them together making cute accessories for you
Necklaces, rings, bracelets etc!
Scaramouche
Scaramouche is a siren. A deadly one at that.
He doesn't care for humans until it comes to his meal time and he doesn't give a fuck about them in a romantic sense either.
He was doing his usual, singing his lovely melody to attract nearby sailors so he could feast upon them.
But once he had gotten in a bit of trouble with some pirates whom he was trying to kill. Which resulted in him being caught in a net his tail all tangled up
His tail is his best asset! It's the easiest way to lure victims in! With just a wave of his tail he'll have his pray swimming to him
But now he's helplessly stranded on shore. He's half expecting for some humans to come along and kill him by this point..and they might as well since he feels as though he might die of hunger.
And then this human does come along. He's expecting his death but not without a fight!
He tries scratching you, hurting you. But to no avail, you don't back down as you keep approaching him not backing down from his fights
He winces when you bring the knife closer, that's it. This is the end for his miserable life...
Suddenly all those tight ropes around his body drop to the floor and he gets free. In instinct, he quickly swims off not bothering to talk to you.
It's been a while since then, and he convinces himself that he doesn't care...but, he can't really explain why he swims up to the shore every day, watching with sharp eyes to see if you would make an appearance.
And when you finally do, he feels relief spread out his body..you're safe- wait. No, he's a siren. He doesn't care for you!
After weeks of just watching you, he finally makes an appearance throwing a rock at your head to get your attention. When you look at him he swims behind a large rock gesturing for you to come closer. And when you do follow him without question he thinks to himself
Stupid human! I'm siren for archons sake!! What if I was trying to kill them!!...i mean I'm not, I would never. But still!
From that day on it becomes a tradition for the both of you to meet behind the big rock slightly offshore.
He doesn't know why he feels this warm feeling spread through his chest..he's a cold-blooded siren for god sake!
Still...he can't help it so..he tries impressing you.
He shows off his colorful tail, flapping it around and sticking it out of the water for you to observe.
He also makes sure to dive deep down into the ocean and grab rocks that he finds nice from the ocean floor to give to you.
He's sure you'll be impressed by his rocks! You probably haven't seen them since he got them from the depts.
Neuvillette
He's a sea otter!! With a fluffy little tail
Meeting you was definitely a stroke of luck.
You were on a scuba diving expedition with some friends and had lost your way in the depths of the fontain ocean
Neuvillette took all measures to stay away from humans of any kind, he didn't trust them, especially with how they polluted the waters!
But he had gotten his nose stuck in a plastic cup! He was only a bit curious about this strange plastic! He hadn't expected to get stuck!
This is why while in his attempt to get his nose out of the cup he felt his body press onto someone warm
Snapping his head back he saw you! His first instinct was to run, humans were nothing but trouble!...but.
Before he could've ran you had grabbed the plastic cup and had freed his nose
He's really grateful so he decides he'll show you the way back to your friends which you got lost from.
He tries to make you understand but you don't so he wraps his fluffy tail around you and pulls you to where he saw your friends.
From then on whenever you would go on a scuba diving expedition with your friends he would always seek you out. He's still not good with humans so while your scuba team is distracted you'll slip away unnoticed and find him.
You don't need to search far, it seems he's always around the corner when you seek him out
His eyes sparkle as he swims circles around you his fluffy tail brushing against you as he looks at your swimming gear
He'll ask you questions about it, and he'll be absolutely fascinated by the gadgets you have.
He'll get really sad when you have to leave soon to not worry your swim team. He insists you must stay at least a little while longer!
He'll start developing feelings for you, but he doesn't know how to act them out
He wouldn't have ever expected to fall for a human being! A mortal!
But he feels this overwhelming desire to be near you and to protect you from any harm you might face.
Being an otter, they usually hold hands while they sleep, that being the only affectionate thing he knows how to do, He never leaves your hand! Clinging onto your arm as if you're about to die!
He swims up to shore to watch the stars with you, and as you slowly fall asleep, he holds onto your arm to not drift away from you as you both sleep under the stars.

cute things they do + how they show their love
Tumblr media
featuring : aether , albedo , itto , diluc , gorou , kazuha , kaeya , heizou , tighnari , xiao
Aether unconsciously stares at you with heart in his eyes. He never knows he's staring, and even he did it's not like he can control it. After all, how could he not when you're this... mesmerizing? His gaze would make you feel so loved, treasured and god, he adores you more than anything. He's never felt this way before, not when he experienced the birth and demise of countless stars, not when he first happened to fall upon this curious world full of adventures he never explicitly asked for. But good heavens, was it all damn worth it since amongst all the frenzy, he met you. His honey eyes glistened with a swirling sense of comfort, delight and appreciation every time you graced his sight with your beauty.
Albedo becomes clueless, for once. He's been called genius, brilliant and all that meaningless adjectives before, sure. But Albedo has never felt this clueless about anything until the met you. The oh-so-wise alchemist has no idea what to do when he starts unconsciously searching for your figure every corner he turns, chasing your shadows in the corners of his dreams. Every whim, every thought is suddenly laced with your scent- hypnotizing, pulling him deeper into your sweet allure. He notices small things about you, how you prefer your tea/coffee in the daytime, how you stare up to the ceiling when you're trying to remember something, even have a guess on what mood you're in from how you walk into his alchemy camp, looking even more divine than the last time he saw you. He swears he feels like he's losing control over his composure, yet he didn't know what to do for once. Except falling in love hopelessly with you, of course. Little did he know, you were aware of his feelings. How could you not be when his normally stoic face softens and quite majestically glows with fondness and adore whenever he saw you?
Itto wishes to include you in everything he does. Now, basic things like Onikabuto-picking or Arataki gang "conferences" aside, Itto wants to make you feel welcomed, included, most importantly wanted in everything his life has to offer. Your presence is enough to make this man happy, he would happily agree + confidently declare that bring the moon to you if that's what you desire. Even in mundane things in life like walking with you to your workplace in the morning or helping you pick out what clothes to wear today, Itto wants both himself and you to get used to being in each other's life. After all no matter what anyone says, he'll stay forever with you if you'd like. Forever and even longer, his "buddy, comrade, partner" and ... "only-his-dude"- as he called you.
Diluc's love is... surprisingly cute and respectful. Devotion, loyalty and commitment is to be expected to the highest spectrum and beyond, of course. But you may have underestimated how utterly lovably this man would behave when he's in love. He may struggle with verbal expression in romance, but he made his love crystal clear with how he prepares the tea just like how you like it ( to perfection ) every morning with utmost concentration and effort. His love is evident in the way he never lets go of your hand even when the crowd isn't that large because "you may get separated", thumb tenderly caressing the back of your hand. His love is heartwarming when he listens to everything you have to say and hold you in higher regard against anyone and everything. His uttermost respect, admiration and love directed to you would make you feel on the top of the world.
Gorou may act all tough and mighty around his troops for the sake of his heavy title "general", but when you tickle his heartstrings so playfully and lovingly, he turns into the cutest doggy you may ever see. Not to mention he has absolutely no control over how his ears perk up and tail wagging uncontrollably, and he wants attention so much to the point he's embarrassed about his neediness. His pride is high, but his need for you is much higher and it's evident from the way he can't help but cling onto you from the moment you come home, slightly whining if you don't give him headpats and kisses on his cheek as you always do. He wraps his tail around you protectively, leaning into your neck and tickling you with his fluffy ears. He may not say directly but every time you cuddle, you couldn't help but adore the needy look in his eyes, pushing his tail closer to you to make you cuddle his tail as well.
Kazuha ever the poet, just can't stay for one minute without complimenting or admiring you. For better or for worse you couldn't tell, he meant every single word no matter how exaggerated his compliments were. He meant them to the core. You could simply be enjoying the fragrant aroma of the afternoon tea he brought for you in peaceful silence, until he breaks it with his honey-laced voice full of admiration- "You look more beautiful than any goddess that have walked this world, my dove." It never fails to catch you off guard with his extravagant and frankly a-bit-too-cheesy compliments, and he is unfortunately very-acutely-aware from how his pretty scarlet eyes flash with mischievous satisfaction when he sees the slightest bit embarrassment show on your features no matter how you try to hide it. "I cannot imagine ever being happier than this moment with you, my beloved." "Your beauty puts the sun and stars to shame, love." P.s: If you decide one day to fire back with another equally-cheesy compliment about him, you may discover the wandering samurai a lot quieter, stumbling over his words with a lot-rosier cheeks than you remembered him having.
Kaeya is vulnerable around you. Scratch that, he allows himself to be vulnerable around you. This speaks so much volumes from who he truly is inside in comparison to his oh-so-mighty facade he keeps in his daily life. Kaeya prides himself on his sharp intuition and this fated encounter with you confirmed his accuracy further. You may suspect him for charming you like he always did when he mentioned how he "just knew you were the one immediately when he laid his eyes on your heavenly figure."- his words not yours. But in the end, you knew he was speaking the truth from how his gaze found yours with the mellow look you were familiar with, holding onto your hands with a featherlight grip like the one he held on your heart. He never lied to you, didn't hide his identity nor his purpose to you. He trusted you more than himself or anything else. Kaeya was no fool, he knew the dangers of sharing his truth. But he trusted his intuition and insight on this one- to trust you. Plus, you would stand against the world with him if need be, what more would Kaeya desire? The confident cavalry captain that everyone knows- he melts away in your presence, instead turning into a simple guy hopelessly in love, willing to spend every moment possible with you as long as heavens allow it. Nevermind, as long as you allowed him to. He wouldn't let even the heavens stand between the two of you for as long as you desired him the way he did for you.
Heizou's cheerfulness skyrockets from the moment you accepted his confession, if it was even possible. He was already happy-go-lucky to the point it was problematic to his surroundings- you might feel a bit remorse for others in his presence thanks to you fueling his fire. He sings at the top of his lungs whenever he hears love songs with absolutely no regards to where you two were, he would randomly hug and shower you with kisses on your cheek, forehead and nose even in front of that Tengu general from his workplace. He shows you off to everyone, and on top of that he can't keep his hands to himself even if it would cost him his life. He can't help it, he wants to be close to you! He loves holding you against him, hugging you tightly until both of you are almost out of breath and giggling uncontrollably. He pulls the adorably annoying "password?" when you're in bed cuddling and want to go somewhere, not letting you out of his embrace if you don't magically guess whatever password he's thinking of. On top of that he makes you guess the password by making it to a riddle on spot, so good luck with that. Whenever he happens to pass by a flower market, he'd pick one flower to "represent your beauty" for the day, making you scoff and accept his cute gift with a smile on your face. Despite his aloof behavior, it doesn't take much to notice that he's thinking of you every moment of the day and shows it to you through his various ways including but not exclusive to: physical touch and cute gifts.
Tighnari is well... a fox. That is to say, his sneakiness grows each moment he spends with you. He'd fill your daily life with traces of him so you are reminded of him and as reminder that he missed you dearly when he's away. He giggled to himself in endearment when he imagined you pouting slightly at his absence of presence, then a warm smile blooming on your face when you find that plate of berries he picked for you with a "good morning, dear. have a nice day, love you. -tg." note next to it. He "accidentally" leaves his sweater in your room when he's away for a particularly long time due to forest research so you'd have it to cuddle when you get lonely. You'd hug that sweater when you miss his again the next day, looking at that small pot of flower he brought for you on your birthday. And finally on the day he was to return home, you'd greet him wearing that sweater. It was an "accident", all of it- he told you with a sneaky smirk (even though he imagined you greeting him like this the entire trip but you didn't need to know that.). Alas, both of you knew that it was just one of his sneaky tricks to keep him in your mind as much as possible while soothing your sadness in the too-quiet serene nights he unfortunately made you spend alone. His plan ends by making you forget your lonely nights completely when you finally find home in between his arms. What sneaky tricks would he try tomorrow? I guess you'll find out soon enough.
Xiao makes promises to you. He knew some mortals may break promises but to Alatus, he makes promises he knows he will keep. He lives to honor his oath, whatever he may have vowed to you he will be sure to keep. It brought so much comfort to you when he made his first ever promise to you under the subtle glimmer of the night sky- "I'll stay by your side." Before Xiao has ever said he loved you, he's promised... himself to you, that he'd remain by you. For someone like him who holds the weight of verbal momentous oaths in respect beyond imagination, it was often what you needed when he gazed into your eyes with certainty and provided solace to your state of mind with his words. You laced your fingers with his, slightly tilting your head and smiled at him comfortingly when he seemed like he wanted to say something- your way of showing him that you're listening to whatever he had to say. With your accepting gesture, he relaxed and to your surprise, made another promise. One you'd never forget- "I love you." Your eyes slightly widened at his declaration. He tightened his grip on your hands and pulled you closer to him, faces barely an inch away from one another. Slowly, he placed your one hand on his shoulder and wrapped his free hand around your waist, still embracing your body in his warmth. "...Please stay with me." Xiao's expression was complex, millions of emotions flooding his senses. He'd never been like this before, and he was certain he never would with anyone else. Slight frustration also clouded his mind, he had so, so much more he wanted to say to you but failed to properly convey in words. Fondly beaming at your vigilant yaksha, you glanced into his eyes, glowing with nothing but devotion and faithfulness for you. You weren't sure if he was aware, but his gaze silently promised you one more- eternal love- lovers' oath. You smiled and nodded your head, caressing his neck gently. "You know, after such lovers' oath, us mortals seal the vow with a physical-." Xiao wasted no time and pressed his lips onto yours, making you sigh into the passionate kiss. With how he held your body close, lips moving in perfect sync, you two were reminded once again that your love was written in the stars, simply meant to be.

‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡ secret little rendezvous / xiao x gn!reader, 4.4 lantern rite spoilers!
Tumblr media
xiao waits for you by the cliff nearby pervases's temple.
the night is cool against his skin and as he gazes at the sky, watching the bright glow of xiao lanterns and the stars, he pictures your existence and smiles at the thought of your likeness to the ones littering the night.
he wonders for a moment, if you weren't going to show up. his pessimism almost always gets the best of him, and despite the evening merriment, even his demons refuse to rest.
eyes closing as the wind caresses his face, he feels the darkness inside him creep at the corners of his mind, seeking to cease the fluttering of his heart at the thought of you.
give in, the chorus of evil voices whisper in his ear. give in and be free.
and he almost does, if not for the sound of barbatos's flute; almost does, if not for the memory of a fond dream where he can dance without guilt amid a sea of flowers.
give in, they hum, but xiao refuses to. not when he feels your presence nearby. not when you smile at him like that and he feels his chest tighten at the sight, his lips curving softly in return.
he glances at you, illuminated by the soft, orange glow of the lantern, and forgets to breathe. his fingers brush against your skin while you both hold it and warmth travels across his body, his fingers tingling at the touch.
when you both let go of the lantern, the weight on his shoulders disappears and his mind quiets as his eyes follow the lantern flying up towards the clouds.
even though he will never be free of his shackles, this moment will eternally be embedded in his memories. the gentleness of your touch, the kindness of your smile, and your presence that makes him feel worthy of being treated tenderly, xiao vows to cherish them.
no matter what.

Xiao
Nights like these were common for you and Xiao. The two of you meet up on the roof of Wangshu Inn every night, catching up on whatever you missed in each other’s absence during the day. This is also the time when Xiao listens to his heart, and allows you to get closer to him. Even after you’ve spent so much time together, he still isn’t used to the flurries of affection you throw at him, and tonight was no different.
When you lovingly press your lips to the diamond on Xiao’s forehead mid-conversation, his mind goes entirely blank. Surprise reflects in his amber gaze, and a wave of gut wrenching emotion surges through him. It’s a mix of joy, confusion, and grief- almost as if he’s experiencing both his terrifying past and his peaceful present at the same time. He had been alone for so long, keeping himself away from humanity unless absolutely necessary, to avoid the risk of hurting anyone should he lose control. He knows things aren't like that anymore- not with you around. He loves you and you love him in return, but he can’t help but feel guilty for being able to experience such affection. After what he had done over the course of his past, after he had stained his hands with so much blood, how could he ever deserve love? He views himself as dangerous- as a monster, and deep down, he thinks you deserve so much better than him. He had voiced this to you before, but you just cupped his face in your hands and smiled sadly at him, whispering that you wished he would think better of himself and that you wouldn’t trade him for the world.
Xiao couldn’t begin to understand why you felt this way, but at the same time, he is eternally grateful to have you with him. Your presence soothes him and illuminates the darkness of his heart- even if it feels selfish, he can’t help but melt whenever your lips meet his forehead. Xiao closes his eyes, leaning into your touch, pushing his spiral of insecurity to the side for now. When you pull away and look at him with your shining, lovestruck eyes, he can’t help but flush and move closer to you. His hand comes to rest on your cheek as his forehead comes to rest gently on your own. The world seems to stand still as you make eye contact, your lips only inches away from his. Xiao’s shoulders relax and the intolerable screams of dying demons he usually grapples with fade into serene silence. The Yaksha’s touch is careful and light, and his expression displays how deeply he longs to stay in this moment for as long as possible. However, he knows well that this desire is nothing but an empty fantasy, rendered impossible at the hands of time. Soon, danger and duty would cruelly pierce through the veil of peace, tearing you away from each other. So Xiao holds you and leans further into your warmth, cherishing the moment before it slips away once more.
Tumblr media
Welt
Welt is a kind, tired old soul. He’s been through a lot, he’s seen a lot, and he’s lost a lot- two examples being his old friends and his home planet. He knows how quickly a once peaceful life can fade due to the dangers of the universe, and he knows how irreplaceable loved ones are. Unfortunately, he learned that the hard way. So, he wastes no time in showing you how precious you are to him. Luckily, you accept his displays of affection with excitement and return it back tenfold.
The two of you are going about your regular duties on the express when you catch Welt’s eye from across the train car. No one else is around, so you sidle over to him, trying not to be too obvious. Welt gives you a side eye as you do this, not knowing what to expect from the cheeky grin that’s making its way across your face. Only a minute later, Welt feels your presence next to him, and he swears that the smile you have plastered on is contagious. His own lips quirk up into a smile, and before he knows it, your body is pressed up against his, your arms constricting around him like there's no tomorrow. He lets out a sigh of endearment, his own arms gently moving to envelop you. Honestly, what was he going to do with you?
However, his infatuation quickly changes to confusion as you pull away slightly and rest your hands on his shoulders. You raise yourself a bit, attempting to reach his forehead, brows furrowing slightly in frustration due to his height. Soon enough, you manage to reach his forehead and your lips quickly make gentle contact with his skin. Welt chuckles softly, moving his hands to your waist, pulling you against him a second time. A massive grin breaks out on his face, and you swear you’ve never seen him happier in your life. Welt then cups your face and drowns you in a flurry of kisses, his own cheeks flushing profusely as he watches you become more and more flustered. The sounds of lovestruck giggles and playful remarks bounce off the walls of the train car, hours passing before the two of you remember your duties. Undoubtedly, the whole exchange ends with Welt fondly clinging to you with one of his hands carding through your hair, work entirely forgotten, as you wait for the rest of the crew to return.
Tumblr media
Kafka
As expected, Kafka loves to tease. Her demeanor is alluring, drawing people to her in both hatred and love. While most disapprove of her title as a Stellaron Hunter, you seem to be an exception. In fact, it’s become very clear to her that she’s got you eternally and willingly caught in her web. She watches your every movement with immense amusement, her gaze dark yet loving as you fall apart from the products of her captivating existence. Often, she was the one initiating affection through words and subtle touches, adoring the way you choke on your words and desperately fumble for a half-decent response. More often than not, these interactions result in bolder acts of physical affection. Whether that’s innocent acts like allowing Kafka to tilt your chin up to kiss you, or you quickly embracing her as a way to hide your hopelessly heated face, or acts that are more… risque, you love every second you get to spend with her. And although Kafka wears a mask of cold, calm deceit, you know that when it comes to you, she doesn’t think twice about showing how genuine her love is.
Even if Kafka was skilled in making you flustered, you had been itching to initiate something on your own for weeks. To watch her get thrown off balance instead of you, all because of something you had said or done- it seemed like an impossible fantasy. Yet you persist in building up your courage, determined to express your love for her and pay her back for all the times she set butterflies off in your stomach. So, you carefully mapped out how you would go about your initiation, knowing that you would have to surprise your beloved in order to elicit any kind of reaction. The next day, you keep your eyes peeled for a moment when she’s idle and unaware of your presence. You manage to catch her while she’s reading, legs crossed casually as she sinks into the cushioning of her chair, eyes glinting with amusement at the book’s contents. Quietly, you enter the room, seemingly ignoring her- that is, until you reach her chair and swoop down to kiss her forehead before she can say anything. Afterward, you turn away and speed walk out of the room, internally reveling in the surprise that overtook Kafka’s features. Her eyes shot open wide, lips slightly parted, eyebrows raised. However, in your absence after the kiss, you didn’t see the fierce blush that spread over Kafka’s cheeks or hear the lovestruck giggle that involuntarily escaped her lips. And you definitely didn’t find out about Silverwolf walking in a few minutes later, only to find the woman folded over in her chair with her face in her hands, giggling like a schoolgirl and entirely refusing to look up. You had caused the most calm Stellaron Hunter to break her collected facade for once, which was incredibly hard to do. After making her feel so lovestruck, there’s no way she could just leave you alone. She would have to get back at you somehow- expect nothing less than to be smothered with her love over the next few days.
Tumblr media
Wanderer/Scaramouche
Scaramouche had been going about his day as normal, bored out of his mind, desperately trying to find something interesting to do while vivid thoughts of you plagued his mind. Nahida had attempted to immerse him in different human activities, yet none of them seemed to take- he was either pretty bad at them, or he just gave up on them because he lost interest. Even the few battles he encountered during his day weren’t enough to take his mind off your absence. Needless to say, when you arrive home he’s all over you, trying to hide his longing for you behind a false mask of annoyance. But you can see right through him, adoration reflecting in your eyes as you quickly grab his face and press a firm kiss to his forehead. As you do so, a confused protest escapes his throat, the poor man startled by your sudden loving gesture. Afterward, you take his hand and drag him further into Sumeru to go get some food, but Scaramouche’s mind is entirely elsewhere. His pace is much slower than yours, making it slightly hard to lead him into the city, but he really can’t help it. Even now, even after the two of you have known each other for so long, you still manage to surprise him. He shields his face with one hand to hide his reddening cheeks and uses the other to tether you to him, picking up his pace so that you’re the one who’s being pulled. The giggle that this elicits from you doesn’t help either, as it only causes the butterflies in his stomach to burst even more.
After all, Scara wasn’t used to this. All his life, he’s been alone- always being left behind, always being used. He had become so accustomed to the feeling of anger and resentment that he didn’t realize how lonely he had indeed become. After he had the Electro Gnosis taken from him and his identity erased from Irminsul, his anger morphed into an overwhelming feeling of emptiness. Sure, erasing himself gave him a second chance at life, but his own loss of identity left him feeling void of any purpose or desire. That quickly changed when you were introduced to him though. As time went on, as he got to know you better, the void in his chest slowly became filled with the undying urge to protect you. The puppet didn’t understand what these emotions were or why he felt like this, but that didn’t matter to him. As long as you were safe, as long as he got to see your smile at the end of the day, he would be content. As you both reach your destination, Scara turns back to look at you, his heart immediately starting to hammer in his chest. You were beaming at him, a playful glint in your eyes- it was painfully clear that you were about to start teasing him for getting so flustered. Before you can say anything, Scaramouche gently takes your face in his hands and kisses you, gaze hopelessly soft. His gentle expression then turns into a devious smirk, amused by the way your eyes widen, entirely unsure of what to say. Now he can see the appeal of surprise kisses, and he’ll definitely be using them more often if this is the reaction he’ll get.
Tumblr media
Kaveh
Kaveh cares for you more than anyone else. His passion for you is immense, so much so that it makes his passion for architecture pale in comparison- which is saying a lot because he loves architecture. In fact, it was practically his life until he met you, (aside from bickering with Alhaitham), and in his eyes, you're the greatest work of art to ever exist. Even the glistening walls and windows of the Palace of Alcazarzaray couldn’t match your glory. His genuine admiration for you often makes it hard for him to communicate how he feels- only one look is enough to get him red faced and stuttering. He does try though, he tries incredibly hard, but it just doesn’t work. The architect is constantly fighting with his own mind, wanting to spill out every ounce of love he’s feeling but not wanting to say the wrong thing. This internal conflict only intensifies during big projects, when all he can think of is you. He doesn’t get to see you often during these periods of time, which only makes him long for you more. So, when you pass by his desk, leaning over to see what he’s working on, you can imagine how deeply sidetracked he gets. When you ask what he’s doing, he starts explaining the details of the project, but quickly trails off as he sees the gentle smile on your face. Oh archons, you’re stunning, he thinks, fighting to find his words once more.
When he does, he quickly finishes his explanation, clearing his throat to try and cover up how deeply flustered he is. You nod and raise your eyebrows, impressed by his ambition and talent. Needing to get on with your own work, you wish him luck, brushing his bangs back and kissing him delicately on the forehead. Kaveh’s face explodes with red and suddenly he feels like the room is far too hot. He fans himself off with his hands, attempting to focus, but the feeling of your lips on his skin keeps replaying in his head. His thoughts are scattered all over the place, each stream of thought overlapping to become an insufferable cacophony of noise and feelings, to the point where he just can't take it anymore. Throwing his pencil down, Kaveh quickly gets up from his seat and somewhat aggressively hurries into the other room, where he finds you sitting on the couch, peacefully flipping through a book. He takes your hand, pulling you up toward his chest. His arms wrap around you tightly and he buries his face into your neck, your confused exclamations completely unheard by him. The architect’s resolve to continue working shatters as soon as you hug him back, his attitude clearly indicating that he doesn’t plan on letting go of you any time soon- not that you mind, of course.

Blade
Blade doesn’t understand why you like him so much. He doesn’t understand you, and how you keep going despite everything you’ve been through already. Though he doesn’t openly show his admiration for you, it's definitely there, despite the cold expression on his face. If you look just closely enough, you can see the way his gaze softens slightly whenever you enter the same room as him. You take this as permission for you to get near him and a confirmation that you aren’t being a burden by physically displaying your fondness for him. One way you show your infatuation with him is by patching him up after missions or fights, and unsurprisingly, he doesn’t understand why you do this either. He can heal himself for the most part, so why would you go through the trouble? Despite his lack of comprehension, he never fights back. The feeling of your gentle, loving hands on his skin soothes him, even if he has an abundance of painful gashes all over his body. The feeling of your lips on each of his wounds after you’ve tended to them is enough to get his heart beating faster, which is something that he thought was impossible to achieve.
Each time, just before you finish patching him up, you take his face in your hands, so carefully that you may as well be handling porcelain. From there, you guide his head slightly forward to almost meet your lips. Blade closes his eyes, his bandaged hand lifting to rest on top of one of your own, wanting to keep your warmth on his skin for as long as possible. A relaxed exhale slips past his lips as the tension in his shoulders deflates. When you finally press your lips to the soft expanse of Blade’s forehead, you can feel his hand start to shake slightly, his brows furrowing in confusion. You pull away, smiling warmly at him, washing away any confusion or sadness that lingers in his gaze. Your eyes meet and Blade’s mind becomes consumed by your touch. It’s been centuries since he’s felt this way- since he’s felt safe, since he’s felt like he has a home. Blade moves back, pulling you forward and into his lap. His hands carefully support your back, your chest pressing against him tightly while your head falls onto his shoulder. His breathing syncs up with yours as you shift to shyly return his embrace. Blade’s lips upturn into a small smile as you gently chastise him for moving so suddenly, warning that it may reopen his wounds. His chest grows tight in appreciation, his love for you growing with every breath he takes. No matter what tomorrow may bring, no matter how much pain he must endure, he knows it will all be alright as long as you’re safe.

the pretty boy at the café. ₊˚⊹ ♡₊˚
— your favorite barista !
(barista!xiao & regular customer!reader)
Tumblr media
✧.* barista!xiao who was the barista you always saw each time you visited your favorite café, which you were a known regular in.
✧.* barista!xiao who you thought was extremely attractive from the first moment you saw him. his slender figure, slender hands when he worked, attractive yet stoic face, the piercings on his ears, and the way his uniform complemented his features so well . . you fell in love almost immediately.
✧.* barista!xiao who developed from 'a tiny crush' to a huge one where you started thinking about him every day.
✧.* barista!xiao who the more you'd visit, the more he'd start to notice you.
✧.* barista!xiao who was your favorite barista, and you, his favorite customer.
✧.* barista!xiao who eventually memorized the drink you'd always order from how often you'd come here . . memorizing what time you usually come by and then have the drink ready by the time you arrive. you were surprised (and flustered) when he himself handed you your drink before you even got to order.
✧.* barista!xiao whose co-workers started teasing him due to the slight difference in his attitude whenever you were in the café. now he was the one who was starting to develop a tiny crush on you.
✧.* barista!xiao who finds himself staring at you as you read a book in your table while he's making drinks or wiping down the counter. his co-workers usually notice this and nudge his side with a teasing smirk.
✧.* barista!xiao who's less nonchalant and cold towards you, seemingly having all his attention on you whenever you speak to him. you were really sweet . . and nice, and so perfect to him in his eyes.
✧.* barista!xiao who seems more agitated whenever you aren't visiting the café. he'd always seem to be much more gloomy when you aren't there.
✧.* barista!xiao who noticed you staring at his arms and hands one time, which caused the slightest smirk to appear on his face.
✧.* barista!xiao who you scolded one time, asking him to come closer with a worried look on your face as he seemed a bit tired. you took a closer look at his face and started scolding him, saying that he should rest more and that he shouldn't overwork himself. he actually listened to you, which was a rare thing for him to do with anyone else.
✧.* barista!xiao who puts little cat doodles (or doodles, in general) next to your name on the cups whenever you order, so that he could see that tiny smile of yours every time.
✧.* barista!xiao who'd keep each and every gift you'd give to him. he really appreciates you, he just won't show it. there's no way he'd admit that . . right?
✧.* barista!xiao who gifted a cute plush keychain to you, looking away with his cheeks tinted a light shade of pink. that became the first time he received a hug from you, and the moment he found out how good you actually smelled.
✧.* barista!xiao who can't hide his blush whenever he sees that exact keychain dangling on your bag when you enter the café. he remembers your hug each time he looks at it.
✧.* barista!xiao whose number you eventually found on a piece of paper taped to your drink's cup, with an 'add me?' written in neat handwriting. you found that he also added his instagram username at the bottom of the paper.

Can we see the Liyue characters reaction to the marriage rumor 👀 I can absolutely imagine Ninguang going all out while Xiao has no idea what to do but knows he should do something to catch your attention. All the while poor poor Zhongli is suddenly regretting not having access to the same luxuries he had as an archon so he could spoil you
SAGAU,, the creator's bride/groom (part 2)
a/n: was actually in the process of writing this, but i was so happy to get some interaction from my genshin blog. this is my very first ask, ackk! i got so excited i wrote everything down in one sitting. thank you so much for the ask!!
a rumor that the almighty creator of teyvat is in the process of choosing a spouse spreads like wildfire. and all their acolytes start sucking up to them like insane. liyue edition! mondstadt edition here.
reader's gender is not specified, as with most of my works. requests and imagines in my ask box are appreciated, but will take a while. :D
warnings: none
Tumblr media
way before whispers of the creator's newest affairs were heard in mondstadt, way before those very words that caused a ferocious storm even reached the ears of the anemo archon, the rumors of the creator's supposed interest in marriage had already been quite rampant in liyue. trending was an understatement, not when every tongue within the lands of geo had spoken about their god's affairs regarding engagement and such.
everyone in liyue was buzzing when they heard the news. some feeling quite happy for the creator and some gearing up for the absolute war that would come the next few days. after all, the creator was currently staying in liyue harbor which practically screamed "OPPORTUNITY" for anyone in liyue who was interested.
safe to say, a certain former archon ended up choking on his food when he heard the news from the director of the wangsheng funeral parlor. zhongli didn't know if he was dreaming or not, the recent rumors too similar to one of his many fantasies with you. the only thing he needed now was for you to bust into the funeral parlor and propose to him, then he'd be fully convinced he was dreaming. but alas, no creator had appeared and no busting in had occured. and seconds later, his mind foggily returned to reality. he processed the information, at least he tried to, unable to grasp much for the next few minutes. immediately, he stood up, heading towards the direction of the hotel you were staying in. hu tao was a bit confused when the usually-composed-man left the room and said nothing, looking rather dazed. he originally intended to ask you if the rumors were true, wanting to take a rational approach, but the sight of all your acolytes clinging to you in a pathetic attempt to win you over had his head empty with jealousy. he was all too tempted to take the form of morax and persuade you with his endless and very valuable resources.
ningguang knew before most common folk, a characteristic move for the opportunistic businesswoman who had connections in almost every street of liyue. however, she did not expect your other followers to know as well when she descended from the jade palace to pay you a visit. behind her were many of her servants, carrying boxes decorated with intricate golden designs. it was quite obvious that whatever was inside each of those boxes cost quite a lot. the boxes themselves looked like they cost more than any of liyue's merchants' organs. however, they were barely acknowledged by you when the 11th harbinger stole you away once again, distracting you from ningguang's elegant presence with his mindless chatter.
the moment childe heard of your supposed interest in marriage, he decided then and there to make it his mission to bother you until your other suitors would eventually fend off. at first, it was questions about your interests and things you liked. he kept a mental list of all he learned that day, disappointed in himself for not knowing any sooner due to how busy he was all the time. the job of a fatui harbinger wasn't the easiest, after all. he considered the possibility that maybe if he got married to you, his service to the tsaritsa would be allowed an end and he could spend the rest of his years exploring the world by your side. he was quite content with listening to your ramblings and daydreaming about what it'd be like to be your lover, even more so your spouse. the moment the tianquan entered your room though, childe decided he would be a menace, wanting to push the rich woman's buttons until she would eventually give up on pursuing you.
ningguang was usually a very patient woman, but something about the ginger irked her in all the wrong ways. she couldn't handle the way he blatantly flirted with you, leaving subtle touches on your body. she could only glare at his hand as she took quiet sips of her tea from across where the two of you were seated. ningguang internally praised you for being such a kind and understanding god because if she was in your place, she would've smacked the fatui harbinger away by now. it was like she wasn't even in the room anymore with how much childe had been hogging you. she couldn't begin to imagine the pain of zhongli whose presence you haven't even noticed yet.
matters were only made worse by the fact that ganyu, someone ningguang thought she would never view as a rival entered your room without knocking, a faint blush on her cheeks. "[name], i happened to stumble into your favorite flowers and thought that maybe-" instead of your happy and accommodating smile, she was greeted with the three harshest glares she had ever encountered in her whole life. ganyu had heard of the rumors, yes, but she wasn't one to believe rumors so easily, so she paid them no mind unlike the three other figures in your room.
"oh, ganyu! what brings you here?" you left your place next to childe (an action that warranted a rather bitter look on his face), giddily wrapping your arms around ganyu to greet her. it seemed that she was much too flustered to answer your question and had completely forgotten how to form coherent words when you wrapped your arms around her. not that you minded. her facial expressions were quite funny to watch.
"ganyu, it's a pleasant surprise meeting you here. although i must say, it's quite rude how you just barged in here and called the creator by the first name. i'm sure you have better manners than that." ningguang spoke from her seat, directing her gaze away from you and ganyu, knowing that she would only get angrier by the second if she did. venom, rather poorly hidden, dripped from her words and it seemed to intimidate the poor girl next to you.
"no! no! it's fine, i told ganyu she could do that."
"barge into your room? or call you by your name?" childe asked from his seat, sounding sarcastic, but truthfully unable to stop himself from wondering.
"both. also, i've been asking all of you call me by my name, it just so happens that ganyu was the first to listen."
Tumblr media
zhongli seemed to have more luck the next day when he happened to run into you in the streets of liyue harbor early in the morning.
"oh? [name]? i didn't expect to see you here so early in the morning." just uttering your name felt like violating a forbidden taboo to zhongli. but after yesterday's encounter, he thought that maybe you truly did like to be called by your name and you weren't just saying things as a test of respect.
"oh! xiao went to my room last night and invited me to a picnic near wangshu inn. i just thought it'd be more convenient if i started traveling there earlier, you know?"
"that sounds (unacceptable, he wanted to say. how could your other acolytes just let you wander alone?) a bit unsafe, your- [name]. if you don't mind, i can assist you to wangshu inn to reassure that you arrive there in one piece."
you would've refused zhongli's offer in any other scenario, but after practically ignoring his existence yesterday, you accepted as a way to apologize. perhaps you could ease his mind with a little bit of conversation. surely that would be enough to pay for your mistake yesterday.
now, xiao had absolutely no idea how courting worked. he tried going around the inn, looking for books, anything, that could assist him with the topic. perhaps you would like dead offerings? should he got hunting for wild animals? or would you rather he seduce you with his body like in those e-ro-ti-ka books he found somewhere around the inn? he felt defeated, not knowing what to do once you arrived for your little picnic date. things would've been much easier had he had rex lapis as a guide and an advisor, he thought to himself, so imagine his surprise once he spotted rex lapis' mortal form walking with you towards him.
zhongli was certainly planning on sabotaging your supposed friend date with xiao, scheming in his head how he would steal you away from the adeptus, using those moments to win you over. and when you two spent a few hours in pleasant conversation, walking side-by-side, ever so often smiling at each other and giddily laughing, he was pretty sure he was going to go through with his plan, despite the initial guilt he felt for sabotaging a close friend. however, when he saw the way xiao's cheeks grew ever-so-pink at the way you hugged him the moment you saw him and the way a smile threatened to break through the usually-stoic-man's facade, he decided to leave you two alone to bond, letting xiao have his moment with you.
zhongli sat quietly in wangshu inn's restaurant, plates empty as he wondered what you and xiao were up to at that very moment. the good food lessened the sting he felt, jealousy clawing at his insides. he shouldn't regret his decision, he told himself. not when alatus looked so elated to be around you. he nodded to himself, yes, this is the right thing to do.
looking down at his empty plate, that is when he realized he has no mora with him.

"XIAO, what's your deepest desire?"
you're draped over his body in your shared bed, scraps of twilight spilling in through the window and bathing your torso in violet hues. as he tenses, you can feel his heartbeat pick up from how you're lying on his chest, but his voice is steady when he answers, "bold of you to assume adepti even have desires." "i'm nothing if not bold," you chuckle, finger idly tracing the outline of the green marks splattered across his arm, "you should know that by now."
you can hear the smile in xiao's voice when he replies, "indeed i do, dove." he shifts slightly, wrapping his arm around your frame and tucking his chin over your head. one might believe that this kind of skinship would be unthinkable for the conqueror of demons, and it is a fact that rang true at one point. but both time and love worked their magic on the adepti's heart until he learned to trust you, and he swears that may have been the best decision of his existence. "why do you ask?" he murmurs, voice muffled by your hair.
"just curious," you shrug, tilting your head up to meet his gaze, "wondering what's going on up in that pretty head of yours, loverboy." his eyes seem to gleam under the light of the stars, and you're struck by how stunning he is - his honey irises look at you with so much quiet affection that you think you could drown in them. his nose scrunches at the pet name, and a light blush dusts his cheeks, "i told you to stop calling me that." "maybe you'd prefer pookie? or sweetheart? baby?" your voice takes on a teasing lilt, smirk widening as xiao grows more and more flustered with every nickname.
he clicks his tongue, though there's no real irritation in the sound, "it's late. you should go to sleep." "aww, but we're having so much fun!" "goodnight, dove," his tone is gruff and abrupt, but you know it's just because he's embarrassed. now you're the one who's getting flustered, because you're so happy that you're close enough with xiao to be able to tell apart these subtle differences in his exterior. you nuzzle impossibly closer to him, "for your information, my wish was for us to be together forever!" a yawn slips out of your mouth before you can elaborate, and the repetitive motion of your lover stroking your head is already sending you off to dreamland. "goodnight, xiao," you manage to mumble, and then you're asleep.
once certain you aren't going to suddenly wake up and tease him, xiao permits a gentle smile to curve his lips. pressing a featherlight kiss to the crown of your head, he whispers, "my deepest desire is for you to be happy. i wish for nothing more." and with the galaxy as the sole witness to his confession, the yaksha permits the drowsiness weighing heavy behind his eyes to finally overtake him.

COLLEGE BOYZ !
featuring. albedo + xiao
𖤐 what these nerds would be like in college. [gn!reader. mentions of food.]
Tumblr media
𖤐 xiao would major in computer science. tell me he doesn’t act like a computer science major. you can’t. he spends hours in his dorm just trying to figure out what’s wrong with his code only to find out it was the small semicolon he added by accident. (you hear his screams of rage from across halls.
𖤐 don’t get him wrong - he’s one of those computer science majors that does actually shower (he actually has this lovely floral cologne he puts on and you swear it smells like heaven itself).
𖤐 he’s a big fan of study dates, he works on his assignments and you do yours. “being alone without being lonely,” he had said with a smile.
𖤐 that is to say - he does get distracted on these dates. after each assignment he’ll turn towards you, eyes pleading for a kiss as reward for his productivity. those kisses turn into two, then three, and then… the work gets forgotten as a whole.
𖤐 a side note but his hands are so so pretty - so when he’s doing work on a computer/laptop, his hands just look so pretty. they’re nimble and they’ll hold your face oh so gently right before he kisses you.
𖤐 during finals and midterms season, he’ll make sure to take care of you to make sure you’re not overloading yourself amidst your studying. he’ll bring you things like soup, sandwiches, your favorite snacks. not only food but small self-care things such as face masks, maybe a new jacket or cardigan, new cologne, or just a puzzle for you to do together during some down-time!
𖤐 he’ll mainly be found wearing hoodies and sweats - he can’t really be bothered putting in too much effort especially when he’s running on such little sleep. on days that he does try, he goes all out. eyeliner, button down shirts and vests that compliment the physique of his body perfectly.
𖤐 as a whole, a lovely boyfriend and would treat you so so good as you go through your uni years <3
Tumblr media
𖤐 albedo would be a chemistry major. no doubt about it, he would spend hours finishing his lab assignment to perfection (no -200% errors here!).
𖤐 he’s the type of guy to have an absolutely stacked schedule. he’s a T.A. for an intro to chem I class, he’s a tutor for the general science courses at the library, he’s taking 18 credits, he’s president of two clubs, and yet he still makes space in that hectic schedule for you.
𖤐 albedo is the type to drag you along with him to his classes when he can’t find the time to plan dates. he’ll take you with him to his 8 a.m lecture all the way to his 5 p.m discussion class. as long as he gets to spend time with you, no matter the setting, he’s a happy guy.
𖤐 often times he just stays in your apartment/dorm for days. he’ll come by after his classes and just take a nap in your very own bed. you’ll find him studying with his papers splayed all across the floor of your room.
𖤐 in the times where he’s staying in your dorm all the time he is so clingy. he’ll be fiddling with your fingers as he studies, have his body wrapped around yours while he writes out the new club activity. when he gets his moments of free time, he will shower you in so many kisses.
𖤐 the type to kiss you everywhere before kissing your lips. he kisses your cheek, your nose, your eyelids, eyebrows, and then finally, your lips.
𖤐 he dresses himself very academic like - button downs and slacks, sweater vests and loafers. he’ll carry around a leather satchel instead of a backpack. his fingers adorn a ring or two always (one of those being the promise rings you exchanged on your first year anniversary).
𖤐 if he ever sees that you are stressing yourself our for an exam or anything of the sort, he’ll go through a list of steps to calm you down. he’ll offer his supper always and try his best to help you study in the best manner while also ensuring you get breaks and allow yourself rest. he suggests walks together in times like these.
𖤐 albedo as your uni boyfriend would be one big nerd, but one big loveable nerd.

(A soft, fluffy continuation to this post about Xiao's reading and writing skills (or lack thereof)
Teaching Xiao how to read and write would be a tedious and difficult endeavour for everybody involved. He may not catch on to what you're doing at first, but once he does he'll do everything in his power to try and avoid it. He's super embarrassed at how far behind he is, and he doesn't want to be perceived as weak in any way, shape or form, especially not by you, someone he's sworn to protect.
It may seem like he's pushing you away at first, and eventually an intervention needs to be staged - whether you bring in Zhongli and some of the other adepti to help explain it all, or confront Xiao on your own, he'll respond better once you've been open and direct with him about what you're doing and why.
Though he is genuinely trying his best, Xiao simply isn't accustomed to sitting still and trying to learn. He's hard-wired for vigilance and combat, so it's nigh on impossible to get him to stay in his seat. He's up and about, wandering the area and trying to keep an eye out for any possible danger, no matter how much you assure him that there's none to be found. You can only get him to sit down for five or ten minutes at a time before he needs a break, or else he starts to get destructive.
Once he's settled a bit and started to write, it comes out stiff and awkward - he always holds his brush like a weapon, no matter how much you try to teach him otherwise. You can say it as often as you like, but Xiao simply cannot pull himself out of combat mode. To him, this is a battle like any other, he's just conquering worksheets instead of demons.
He always makes an utter mess of the inks and chews on the writing tools when you take your eyes off of him - he likes the texture of the wood splintering between his teeth.
His embarrassment and shyness also mean that he finds it really difficult to speak up when he's having trouble with something, no matter how much you reassure him that it's okay to ask for help. He also does well when you're working alongside him, even if it's on something else.
Teaching Xiao these skills is an arduous task, but he retains the information well, even after long gaps between lessons. You may find that occasionally rewarding him with little treats may also boost his productivity somewhat. Not necessarily food, but small trinkets, head scritches and hair brushing tend to be great bribes to coax Xiao into working towards a goal.
He'd never tell you, but one of the main reasons he said yes to your teaching proposition is because he wants to be able to read and enjoy your favourite books alongside you. He even ends up spending some extra time around others so that he can ask them for the definition of words he's not sure about as he slowly but surely progresses through the book during quiet restful periods of time.
One day, you'll find that he's speaking in an awkward, stilted sort of way, perhaps saying things that don't exactly fit into the context of the situation. How quickly you realise depends on what your memory for quotes is like, but you come to the conclusion in the end anyways - he's quoting your favourite books to you, trying to tell you that he read them without outright saying it.
He's secretly really proud of himself for being able to make it through an entire book. Though he may not fully understand certain parts of it, and the deeper meanings still elude him, he's just delighted that he was finally able to share something so special and meaningful with you.
You may even start to receive mysterious, unsigned letters on important dates and holidays - rolled up in pretty, loose ribbons and covered in blocky, awkward handwriting. Unsigned, but filled with love nonetheless.

“...you taste so good...”
relationship | xiao x gn!reader synopsis | xiao just needs to reassure himself and remind you that you were his content | lewd & spicy, but not smut smut. mdni just to be safe! cw | biting, blood, marking, smidge of da.cryphilia, he’s a lil possessive a/n | if you want to read this as vampire!xiao, go crazy. but i just wanted a feral, head empty xiao 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️. also kuni had to get mentioned somehow.  ©kunikuma
Tumblr media
“a-ah! xiao, did you actually just bite me?”
“… it didn’t hurt too much, right?” he quietly asks, peering up from your core as he pulled back. his mouth was partially agape, his little fang hovering right over the meat of your thigh. his rapid breaths graze your skin, making you shiver. you hesitated as you placed your hand on his head. you pushed him into your leg and he wordlessly continued to lick and nibble on your skin with a quiet hum.
“not too much,” you whispered. “it was kind of nice, actually,” you muttered, a rosy tint taking over your cheeks. you let out a quiet yelp when you felt a sudden and sharp sting, causing you to jerk your leg away from his hold; from between your thighs, xiao grips your flesh harder and yanks you back to continue to nip at you. in the darkness of the room, the moonlight illuminated his amber eyes and soft skin, and you can see a pleased look slip through as he suckles on your flesh.
“that’s good,” he whispers, detaching his lips from your body. the blossoming bruise along with his lips glistened, spit soiling both of your skin. he gives the blooming hickey a small lick, wordlessly apologizing for any discomfort you might have felt. he presses his cheek against your thigh and looks up at you and softly says, “if it’s too much, stop me.”
before you could give him encouraging words to continue, he releases a shaky breath as he mouths at your thighs, “i just… really need you tonight.” he almost growls out, but you can hear a struggle in his voice. as if he feels bad for wanting and needing you. as if he’s been holding back for a while and he’s reached his breaking point. for xiao, seeing an infuriating indigo-haired man get too handsy with you today pushed him over his limit. he knew the kasa-clad man was just provoking him, but a clouding fog smothered his brain, overtaking his usual level of self-control and rationality.
“then have all of me,” you mumble, gently squeezing his head between your thighs, uttering, “you know i’m yours.”
with that, you could see his look of hesitation remain for a fraction of a second as the gears in his head were hard at work, repeating your words. then, the hesitation dropped as his brows furrowed. his pupils narrowed as a growl rumbled in his chest. with a blurred flash of teal, he turns his head and sinks his teeth into your leg as a sharp pain blossoms and shoots through your body. as he latchs his small fangs into your leg, he lets out a pleased and almost feral groan, his eyes practically rolling into the back of his head as his fingers flex their grip on your lower limbs. with a squeak, your legs slam together, trapping his head, your whimpers and gasps filling the night air.
“f-fuck, you taste so g-good.” he stutters, his words slurred as he gets lost in you as you loosen your hold on his skull. he quickly laps at the small rivulets of blood trailing down your thigh; he would never, ever waste a drop. he worshipped your body, your smell, your taste - god you always tasted so, so good. the taste of you went straight to his head. the sounds slipping from your lips had him light-headed. he released a shuddered breath when he looked up from between your legs. the sight before him was purely divine. you were breathing heavily, your head thrown back onto the pillow, the back of your hand pressed against your lips as you tried to steady your breathing. your chest heaving, shakily taking in air with each shuddered breath. he could see hints of red dust on your cheeks as your eyes had a dazed look. pleasured and pained tears clung to your lower lashes, threatening to slip any second. you sat back up and look down at him with pure adoration in your glassy eyes. xiao strongly believed you looked your best when you were like this. he gingerly thumbs the blood staining the corner of his lips and licks his finger clean, a quiet and approving hum escaping him.
when he glances down at his work, warmth and a feeling of sheer delight blooms in his chest when he knows his work is going to leave a mark. these are the only kinds of marks xiao likes to leave on your body.
but this mark hidden between your thighs just isn't enough.
he gritted his teeth, hoisting your legs over his shoulders as he gripped the fat of your thighs so hard you knew you’d be bruised by the morning. his amber-lidded eyes glimmered in the darkness as they darted to all the possible places he plans to litter your body with his marks. with a wild look in his eyes, he locks his gaze on you and smirks. he tightens his grip on your legs again.
"by the time the sun rises,” he mutters, pressing open-mouthed kisses your unmarred thigh.
“no one can deny you belong to me.”

THINKING- about innocent alatus
What if you rescued him instead of the geo archon...
It's pretty gender-neutral just some specific words like thursts but you can imagine a dildo if you don't have a dick
Tumblr media
Innocent alatus! Who's been rescued by you! You've saved him from the evil clutches of that God and are even nursing him back to health!! He's indebted to you and will do anything for you
Innocent alatus! Who does anything you ask of him! He's been locked away with that evil god for so long that now that he's been released he can't function without you
Innocent alatus! Who even though he's fought so many demons has no clue how to do even the easiest of tasks! Cooking? No clue cleaning clothes? Nope he's completely useless
Innocent alatus! Who starts crying all puffy-cheeked when you sigh at the fact that he's useless except for killing people he promises he'll try! He'll try harder to learn whatever you want so please, please! Don't abandon him!!
Innocent alatus! Who read some books while you were upset with him to get his mind off this discovers a very peculiar way of apologizing he reads some more books and sees that this method always works! Alright, he'll try it out as soon as you get back from work!!
Innocent alatus! Who goes to the shops with your money to purchase all the items he found frequently from those books happily humming as he has no decency to even try to hide them from the people passing by
Innocent alatus! Who's laid out spread across your bed with all of the toys he bought, wearing a cute little maid dress that covered almost nothing allowed you to see he wasn't wearing anything underneath
Innocent alatus! Who doesn't understand the implications of his actions and doesn't quite understand the hungry look in your eyes though his thoughts are quickly interrupted when you push his legs apart- he starts feeling flustered he doesn't get why?
Innocent alatus! Who gives his first time to you! He's read somewhere that this means he belongs to you! He automatically assumes this so if you ever bring another man or woman to the house he gets really angry and starts crying! Isn't he enough?? Why would you need anyone else?
Innocent alatus! Who you have to comfort and hold while he sobs into your clothing his cheeks all red and puffy while he begs you to promise him that you won't bring back anyone else and that he's enough for you! You laugh looking at his small weak body who's still slightly shivering and still covered in very prominent red marks
Innocent alatus! Who shrieks when you push him to the floor palming his clothed dick while tearing off his shirt and pulling his legs apart "you've scared them away..take responsibility..if you think you have it all to please me..show me"
Innocent alatus! Who just softly nods with a big blush on his face as he promises he can take you!
Innocent alatus! Who's already done by the 6th time but you're just getting started! He's mumbling incoherent things all the while sobbing at the same time "alatus are you sure you want to keep going." he can't bring himself to speak but he nods clawing at your back finally saying he can take more! he's not done! Not until you're tired as well!
Innocent alatus! who'll take as many thursts and even more spankings if that's what it takes to please you, his whole body is shivering covered in bruises as he's sobbing but he's begging you, don't stop! There's no need to stop! He can't keep going! You obviously can tell that he's lying but...- you can't help yourself as his body pulls you in again and again and he just looks so delicious!!
Innocent alatus! Who proudly shows off the red marks that cover his body with no shame whatsoever
Innocent alatus! Who gets so flustered even at the smallest bits of attention You give him! It's so fun to tease him picking him up and twirling him around in the air than holding him like a princess while he's blushing and telling you to stop!
Innocent alatus! Who gets weak in the knees when you call him your wife your lovely docile wife who spreads his legs whenever you want and tries his best to cook for you!..and of course, if there's anyone you ever need dead...he'd be more than willing.

When you were coming back to Liyue Harbor, on your way you found an unusual finch. The poor thing was hurt and you couldn't just leave it to die, so you took it home with you.  When the finch woke up in your home, you were surprised that it didn't panic and was calmly sitting in the little nest, that you made for it, letting you tend to its wounds. After making sure that finch wasn't in pain you finally took better look on it. It had emerald feathers, on its forehead you could see a little purple spot, that looks like diamond. The finch was bigger than regular ones and was round. You said how cute the finch look and the bird after hearing your complement, turned its back to you. You couldn’t help but giggle after that. Everyday you would take care of it, talk to it, even read it some books. Sometimes the finch would follow you around the house when you were doing chores. You really enjoy its company but you know that soon you'll have to let it go. The Yaksha couldn't understand why he stayed in this mortal's home. He was already fully healed the first night after you brought him in. When he made sure you were sleeping he left to fulfill his duties, but before the sunrise he took again form of the finch and come back to you. For some reason he felt at peace when he was by your side. The voices of demons vanished from his head, when you were talking about your day. You gave him this nostalgic feeling, he felt like he was back in time when his dear friends were still alive and happy. He was wondering why is that? You didn't have vision, you can't fight, there was nothing special about you, yet you are somehow special to him anyway. How much he wanted to take his regular form and speak with you but he was afraid. Would you be scared? Would you treat him different? Would you feel awkward? He didn't wanted that, he wants to hear your cheerful voice, see your genuine smile. What if he taint you with his karma, what if you think he is a monster- “My little friend…” you took him in your hands, your voice calms the waves of anxiety that wanted to drown him.
“It seems you fully healed… I think it’s time for you to go back home.” Why are you smiling at him with such sadness in your eyes? There is no home waiting for the last Yaksha other than you, he thought. You kissed his forehead and at this moment he promised to himself that he will always protect you. For now he bids you goodbye and flies away. He will watch over you from the shadows till there will be a day when you would be able to see each other face to face. You were coming back to Liyue Harbor but on your way you were attacked by Geovishap Hatchlings. You couldn't outrun them nor fight them. You closed your eyes, getting ready to feel impact. But nothing happened. When you opened your eyes, you saw young man standing before you, his back turned to you. The monsters remains turned to dust and vanished with wind. The young man turned towards you, his mask vanishing from his face. The first thing you noticed was familiar purple diamond on his forehead. “Are you hurt?” the yaksha asked. You could see worry in his eyes. You showed him smile that he adored so much. “I’m alright, thanks to you… my little friend.”
----
Round bird Xiao is so cute! I wish I could buy his plushe… well anyway, thank you so much for reading. I know I’m not good at writing, I won't lie, sometimes I have trouble how to write some sentences in English to not make them sound weird (>~<)"(I’m sorry if I still make them sound weird….) So thank you for your time and for liking my stuff! I really appreciate it! <3

a/n: happy bday to my fictional loml xiao tutu alatus my beloved
Tumblr media
when xiao dreams, he's always going down.
it doesn't matter whether he's suffocated by the ocean of his karmic debt, feeling its claws sink into his feet, pulling him under; or gravity wrapping its heavy arms around his body as he plummets from the sky, xiao is always spiraling downwards.
it makes him hate dreaming, opting to clear his mind from the sinking weight of drifting towards sleep. slaying monsters by the borders of liyue makes his body sing from nothing but exhaustion. their blood is on his hands but at least the stains on his skin distract him from the weariness in his bones.
when he can no longer evade sleep, his nightmares come to him like wolves, his arms and hands enclosed by black whips, chaining him to a never ending bad dream while he tries to break free.
it ceases when he sees you amidst the darkness.
you were light embodied, the moon while he wanders tirelessly in the frightening forest of his mind. you smile and he feels the constricting of his chest weaken, a rush of relief resting on his shoulders as he watches you approach his restrained position.
he whispers your name, and your eyes glow impossibly brighter at his voice. you rest your hand on his cheek and xiao closes his eyes, your touch a deliverance from his endless torment within. soft lips press against his and xiao pulls away, tenderly surprised.
when he wakes, the fatigue he knows so well never comes. licking his lips, he tastes the sweetness that lingers there.
as he gazes out to the sights atop wangshu inn, he can’t help but smile, feeling his mind go tranquil for a very long time.

between comfort and chaos [xiao]
summary: xiao decides to change, starting with you. word count: 0.7k warnings: gn!reader, spoilers for perilous trail quest, hurt/comfort, confession. a/n: i’m not immune to xiao angst </3 but this is pretty soft so i hope it makes you feel less sad after the event :,) + title is from ceilings by lizzy mcalpine!
Tumblr media
The Wangshu Inn is just as quiet as it usually is this time of night, when the fireflies begin to glow and the crickets chirp their song. You’re standing on the balcony, your arms propped up on the railing while you watch the world fall under its midnight spell. Sleep has evaded you tonight, kept awake by worries in your heart.
Something stirs in your chest at the very moment you begin to recall what’s keeping you up. Almost as if by a sixth sense, you feel the presence of another behind you and call out casually: “So you’re finally back, huh? Took you long enough.”
Xiao pads towards you, catlike in his graceful silence, before he stands near you by the railing. You peer at him from the corner of your eyes while he removes his mask. There’s a pensive look on his face that makes you fully turn towards the yaksha. Your voice softens with sincerity. “Hey, did something happen?”
You knew the gist of Xiao’s plan: to explore the Chasm for clues pertaining to his former comrade’s fate. It was obvious when he explained it to you before his departure that this was a serious endeavor (as if anything with him isn’t serious); even so, you’re aware that this mission was something personal to him. When it comes to his life as a yaksha, you can’t say you know much more than anyone else. He hides a great deal of his past from you despite your years of friendship; you could never force him to tell you about such things, not when you can feel the hole in his heart, but it troubles you nonetheless. Even now, you don’t expect him to give you a clear answer, if anything at all.
This time, Xiao surprises you.
“He never made it out.”
The intensity of his gaze strikes you. You can only manage to respond with a whispered, “Oh.”
The silence that follows is heavy; it settles like snow around you both. There are no words you can say to soothe his troubles. There is nothing you could do at this moment to lift the centuries of pain in his heart.
You reach for his hand instinctively. You half expect him to flinch or turn you away, but the yaksha astonishes you once more by allowing you to slide your palm against his own. His hands are calloused, rough and scarred from centuries of fighting, yet he holds your hand as though he’s touching fine china. When Xiao squeezes your hand slightly, your heart aches.
There are no words to soothe his troubles, but this is enough.
The silence stretches on for what may be an eternity before Xiao speaks again. “I have come to understand something after my mission,” he begins. “I… have been too harsh to this world. To its people, especially. I have known for all of my existence that I am fated to lead a life of misery. That is the path of a yaksha, and I do not fear it. But even so… Even though I know my destiny…,” he says, his grip on your hand tightening. “I may never have peace, but the others — the yaksha, my family — would not want me to live without having experienced the joys of this world. My brothers and sisters may not have had enough time to live through such things, but I do.”
Xiao looks to you, a clarity in his golden eyes that you have never seen before. “You,” he breathes, “are a joy that I refuse to neglect.”
Your heart is in your throat, tears pricking your eyes. “So stay,” you whisper. “Stay with me as long as you’d like.”
Your fingers interlock with Xiao’s, a rare smile gracing his features. “Gladly.”
For the first time in his life, Xiao allows himself to forget the weight of his destiny. He allows himself to have this one corner of the world to be a little selfish, to hold your hand and not feel ashamed. His debt may harm you, but he recalls the traveler’s words: There will always be someone willing to be by your side.
For the first time in his life, Xiao takes comfort in something human.

in my heart - in my head - tell me why this has to end ?
albedo , xiao x reader
summary : his insecurities in a relationship with you
warning : none [ angst themes - comfort ]
albedo ( kreideprinz )
Tumblr media
no relationship is perfect, you knew that
but...
you couldn't help the pressure in your chest, like you couldn't breathe sometimes each time you spent overthinking on nights like this
you often felt distant from your boyfriend
at times you'd feel like you couldn't reach albedo at all
like he was far away from you, too far from your reach
sure he'd hold your hand and share kisses here and there
but despite the few acts of physical intimacy, you really didn't feel anything different from when you two were just friends
in the early stages of relationship, albedo would struggle showing vulnerability and showing his love to you -especially verbally
albedo is painfully aware of his artificial existence - too much in fact
because of that, each act declaring his love for you is restricted with his consciousness
he did promise that he'd love you, care for you
and to do... this together with you. he'd be your companion in this wondrous thing called 'life'
and he was aware he wasn't alone like he was before
this awareness, unfortunately becomes heavier as time went on
every time he holds your hand, he is reminded that he is different from you
although it's damn near impossible to guess what this man's thinking of, you get a rare glimpse of his vulnerability when his grip on your hand tightens ever so slightly
every time you smiled at him, placed fleeting kisses on his cheek, or whispered words of 'love' in his ear so, so sweetly
he couldn't help but wonder if what he was feeling was enough for you
was he... humane enough? was he, an artificial being, really enough for you ?
shouldn't he be loving you more? shouldn't he... do more? as a proof, as appreciation for your time, effort and everything else?
albedo felt like he was drowning in your love at times, in a good way
your love felt warm, embracing and understanding of his every being
it left him feeling unsure if he is making you feel as loved as you should be
in his eyes, you deserve the best that could ever exist in this world, and frankly he was unsure if he was fit to provide that for you
you'd need to drag him out of the vast ocean that is his mind often
the brilliant alchemist might not trust verbal affirmations much, but when you hug him like that, when you hold him in your arms like this
for once, he felt like he was wrong for his negative hypothesis - like his worries were for vain.
xiao ( alatus )
Tumblr media
xiao's own mind and cautiousness hurts both of you much more than he could ever imagine
he has never felt equal to you, ever
in his eyes, you're up in the skies, more divine than all of the archons that govern over teyvat, you shone brighter than any entity he has ever seen in his painfully long lifetime
and he... is a general, he was meant for killing, bloodshed and battlefield. it's all he's ever known and possibly all he will ever know
although he's trying to be true to himself, true to his own feelings and emotions, xiao has never had the liberty to be those things
never in his millenniums worth of existence did he ever expect to find someone like you
you're so patient, tender and gentle to him
no matter the sharp-edged words and indifferent attitude he throws at you unwillingly, xiao's dedication to you is fierce
he promised you his protection, faith and diligence - he will honor his words no matter what
but when you're there by his side, holding his hand with both of yours, letting him lean onto your shoulder as he feels the weight of the world crashing down on him for what seems like the millionth time- he is so, so scared
sure, he's received a locket from Morax to guard you from the dangers of being close to an adeptus and he knew you wore it at all times
he's a monster inside, he is unworthy of your tender, pure love - xiao repeats the words over and over in his mind unconsciously
he can't help but doubt his worth when he sees your beautiful smile, and gosh he loved you so much it hurts
it hurts so much that you're mortal, you're so fragile and... have a short life
he dreads, fears every single moment for the inevitable, the moment for your mortal life to end, bringing his soul altogether with yours back to the perpetual blue sky where you were born from, as he imagined
you were aware of how he felt, how could you not be? when he clung onto you like you were about to leave any moment, your eyes watered ever so lightly
you embraced him as gently as possible, whispering into his ear quietly but firmly
"i'm by your side. i'm right here, alatus... i'm right here next to you."
as his negative thoughts eventually faded and he is faced with your sublime beauty, all he could do was melt into your embrace and wish this moment was to continue for all eternity

Synopsis: ? (Tba)
Tumblr media
The grand hall of Y/n's opulent residence was ablaze with light, the air thick with the heady scent of flowers and the sound of laughter and music. Nobles, dignitaries, and admirers from across Teyvat had gathered to revel in the extravagant affair. Y/n, though once a revered Archon, now hosted lavish parties in their newfound mortal guise, surrounded by the splendors of their amassed wealth.
As Y/n moved through the crowd, a symphony of admirers sought their attention. Flattering words and sweet promises were whispered into their ears, as the nobles vied for a chance to capture the heart of the former Archon. Some expressed their intentions with eloquent poetry, while others presented lavish gifts, hoping to win Y/n's favor.
Zhongli and Venti, having long relinquished their divine titles to live among mortals, observed the scene with amusement. From a discreet corner, they exchanged knowing glances and indulged in their usual bets, predicting which suitor would capture Y/n's attention that night.
Zhongli, his expression calm and collected, remarked, "I wager that the young lord in the blue attire will be the one to capture Y/n's interest tonight. There's a genuine sincerity in his words."
Venti, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, retorted, "Nonsense, my dear Zhongli. It's clear that the elegant lady in red is the true contender. Watch as Y/n's gaze lingers a moment longer when she approaches."
Meanwhile, Y/n graciously entertained their admirers, graciously accepting compliments and gifts. Despite the rumors that painted them as power-hungry and a literal avatar of greed, those who engaged with Y/n personally discovered a different truth. Y/n was kind, generous, and genuinely interested in the stories and lives of those around them.
Y/n then glided over to where Zhongli and Venti were observing the spectacle. The music and laughter from the party surrounded them like a comforting embrace. Y/n's eyes sparkled with amusement as they approached their two former divine companions.
"Ah, making bets again, are we?" Y/n teased, a playful smile gracing their lips. "What's the prize this time? Perhaps a share of my nonexistent wealth?"
Venti chuckled, "Oh, you wound us, Y/n! It's all in good fun, you know. Just trying to predict the next lucky companion to bask in your radiant presence for the night."
Zhongli, ever composed, nodded in agreement. "Indeed. A harmless diversion from the usual routines of our mortal lives."
Y/n's eyes flickered between Zhongli and Venti, their gaze thoughtful. "Well, I hate to spoil the suspense, but I must say, Zhongli, you might just win this round. The young lord in blue seems to have a sincerity about him that caught my attention."
Zhongli's eyes gleamed with a hint of satisfaction, and he gave a small hum. "I'm glad to hear that my judgment is still somewhat reliable."
Venti, not one to be easily defeated, crossed his arms and pouted playfully. "Well, we'll see about that. The night is still young, and love is as fickle as the wind. I've got my eye on that lady in red; mark my words."
Y/n chuckled, enjoying the banter. "We shall see, my dear friends. Let the games continue, and may the best observer win."
With that, Y/n rejoined the lively dance of the party, leaving Zhongli and Venti to resume their good-natured rivalry.
Venti, his expression shifting from playful to contemplative, leaned in towards Zhongli, his emerald eyes reflecting a mixture of curiosity and concern. The music of the party continued to swirl around them as he spoke in a hushed tone.
"Zhongli," Venti began, "I can't help but wonder… what do you think Alatus would say if he saw Y/n living like this? The opulence, the parties, the indulgence – it's all so far from the Archon we once knew."
Zhongli's gaze followed Y/n's figure as they disappeared into the crowd. He sighed softly before responding, "Alatus was a guardian, a presence of serenity and order. To witness Y/n, the one who carries the memories of their love, immersed in this sea of extravagance… it is a stark contrast."
He took a moment to choose his words carefully, his tone measured. "Alatus valued simplicity and the beauty found in the quiet moments of life. Seeing Y/n reveling in this display of wealth and excess would undoubtedly be a source of sorrow for him."
Venti nodded in understanding, a solemn expression settling over his features. "It's hard to watch sometimes, isn't it? The ones we care about, changed by the currents of time and circumstance."
Zhongli's eyes, filled with a hint of melancholy, met Venti's gaze. "Indeed. But as mortals, they must find their own paths and forge their destinies. Whether it aligns with the ideals of Alatus or not, Y/n is navigating the complexities of their existence in a world without divine duties."
The wind stirred softly around them, carrying the distant notes of the party. Venti sighed, a whisper on the breeze, "I just hope they find the happiness they're searching for, even if it means drifting away from the past."
The party continued, and Y/n took a moment away from the crowd to appreciate the moonlit courtyard. The night air was cool, a refreshing contrast to the warmth of the celebration within.
Unbeknownst to Y/n, Xiao, a newly-appointed servant known for his quiet diligence, was attending to the lanterns that adorned the courtyard. His eyes, reminiscent of starlight, were fixed on his task.
One delicate lantern, however, seemed determined to resist Xiao's efforts. As he carefully adjusted its position, a sudden gust of wind sent it tumbling from his grasp. With lightning reflexes, Y/n stepped forward, catching the lantern before it could crash to the ground.
As Y/n held the lantern, their gaze locked with Xiao's, a momentary pause fell upon them. In that instant, it was as if time itself had stilled. Y/n felt an inexplicable flutter in their chest, a heartbeat that echoed with a resonance long forgotten.
Xiao, stood before Y/n, his expression calm and composed, but his eyes betrayed a depth of admiration that only a true devotee could understand. Y/n, momentarily lost in the intensity of that gaze, saw a reflection of Alatus in Xiao's features—the same ethereal quality, the familiar intensity that had once drawn Y/n's heart.
A flicker of recognition sparked in Y/n's eyes, a recognition that transcended the boundaries of the present. The lantern exchanged between them became a silent bridge connecting two souls. Y/n, overwhelmed by a sense of déjà vu, felt a surge of emotions that defied explanation.
With a sudden realization, Y/n excused themself from the courtyard, claiming a sudden need to attend to an urgent matter. The sea of partygoers seemed to part effortlessly as Y/n made their way through the crowd, their thoughts in a tumult.
In the solitude of a quieter space, Y/n leaned against a balustrade, their breath coming in irregular intervals. Memories of Alatus, thought to be buried deep within, resurfaced with unexpected clarity.
Meanwhile, Xiao, still in the courtyard, looked down at the lantern in his hands. His heart raced, for he couldn't fathom the idea that the Archon he had admired from a distance since childhood was now standing mere steps away. He had heard of every story related to Y/n, their mysterious lover, the tragic tale that surrounded their stepping down as an Archon, and he had collected countless paintings of them, trying to capture every nuance of their enigmatic presence.
Tonight, however, Xiao found himself closer than ever to the Archon he idolized. He had not anticipated this encounter, and the realization that he was now serving the very person who had inspired his quiet devotion left him in a state of awe.
Zhongli, ever perceptive, observed Y/n's hurried exit from the festivities. A sense of concern crept into his expression, prompting him to follow Y/n through the corridors of their residence. As he caught up with Y/n, he noticed the uncharacteristic tremble in their hands.
"Y/n," Zhongli called gently, "is everything alright?"
Y/n turned to Zhongli, eyes filled with a mixture of confusion and distress. "Zhongli, I… I saw a servant, fixing the lanterns in the courtyard. He looked so much like Alatus."
Zhongli's gaze softened, understanding the weight of the revelation. "A servant? Can you describe them?"
Y/n recounted the encounter with Xiao, the servant whose features mirrored those of their lost love. Zhongli listened attentively, a thoughtful expression on his face as he processed the information.
"He looked so much like Alatus, Zhongli. It felt like a glimpse into the past, a cruel reminder of what I once had," Y/n confessed, their voice wavering with a mixture of sorrow and longing.
Zhongli placed a reassuring hand on Y/n's shoulder. "These emotions are only natural, Y/n. The world has a peculiar way of intertwining fates. "
Y/n nodded, a tear escaping their eye. "I know, Zhongli, but the resemblance is uncanny."
Zhongli pondered for a moment before speaking, "Perhaps this encounter is a chance for you to find closure."
Y/n, with Zhongli's supportive presence, took a deep breath and re-entered the lively party. The music and laughter surrounded them once again, but the encounter with the servant lingered in the back of their mind.
As they mingled with the guests, Venti approached with his characteristic mischievous grin. "Y/n, my dear, care to share the details of your sudden escape? It's not like you to vanish from a party so abruptly."
Y/n glanced at Zhongli before sighing, "I saw a servant who looked strikingly like Alatus. It caught me off guard, and I needed a moment to collect myself."
Venti's expression shifted to one of genuine concern. "Alatus? That's quite a revelation. Are you alright?"
"I will be," Y/n replied, a small smile playing on their lips. "Zhongli has been a great comfort."
Just as the conversation unfolded, Venti's eyes flickered towards a figure in the crowd. He paused mid-sentence, his gaze fixed on the servant serving guests with quiet efficiency. Y/n and Zhongli followed his line of sight, and their eyes widened in realization.
"Is that the servant you met earlier?" Venti asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Y/n nodded, still not knowing the servant's name. "Yes, that's the one. The resemblance to Alatus is uncanny."
Zhongli, ever composed, observed the unfolding scene. "It seems fate has a peculiar way of intertwining in our lives."
The grandeur of the party continued, and Y/n found themselves in the midst of a lively dance with an aristocrat. Their forced smile hid the unease beneath the surface, the encounter with the servant lingering in their thoughts. Venti and Zhongli, observing from a distance, exchanged glances, realizing that the outcome of their bet was hanging in the balance.
As the dance continued, the aristocrat's hand rested on Y/n's lower back, a gesture that caused discomfort to ripple through Y/n's demeanor. Before Venti and Zhongli could intervene, however, a sudden commotion erupted.
A splash of wine splattered across the aristocrat's expensive attire, eliciting a scowl and a sharp, irritated comment. Y/n, caught off guard, turned to see the source of the disturbance, and to their surprise, it was the same servant from before – Xiao.
The aristocrat, fuming with anger, raised his hand, ready to strike Xiao for the perceived offense. Y/n, sensing the impending conflict, swiftly intervened, placing a gentle hand on the aristocrat's arm. "Please, it was just an accident. No harm done."
The aristocrat hesitated, glaring at Xiao with disdain. "An accident, you say? This servant should know better!"
Y/n, maintaining their composed facade, dismissed Xiao with a nod, silently signaling for him to step away. Xiao obeyed without a word, blending back into the shadows of the grand hall.
As Y/n diverted the aristocrat's attention with charm and diplomacy, Venti and Zhongli approached, their expressions a mix of relief and curiosity. The aristocrat, momentarily appeased by Y/n's grace, retreated, leaving the trio alone.
Venti couldn't help but comment, "Well, it seems our mysterious servant has a knack for turning the tide."
Zhongli added with a subtle smile, "Indeed. Fate works in mysterious ways, doesn't it?"
The party gradually came to an end, leaving the opulent residence bathed in a tranquil ambiance as guests departed. Y/n, wearied by the social intricacies and emotions of the night, retreated to their private chambers. The moon cast a gentle glow through the window, and the silence of the night enveloped the room.
Venti and Zhongli, having lost their bet in good spirits, decided to join Y/n after-party. They found Y/n reclining on a plush chair, a contemplative look in their eyes.
"Well, it seems we were both wrong," Venti remarked with a playful grin, settling into a seat. "No love connection for you tonight, my friend."
Zhongli nodded in agreement, his gaze thoughtful. "Indeed, fate had different plans. But tell us, how are you feeling after the events of the evening?"
Y/n sighed, a mix of emotions playing on their face. "It was a night of unexpected encounters. The resemblance of the servant to Alatus, the intervention with the aristocrat – it all stirred up memories and emotions I thought were buried."
Venti leaned forward, his expression more serious. "Perhaps there's more to discover about this mysterious servant."
Zhongli added, "And yet, it's crucial to navigate these emotions with care. The past may be a guiding star, but the present is where we must anchor ourselves."
As the conversation unfolded, Venti and Zhongli offered both wisdom and camaraderie. Eventually, they bid Y/n goodnight, leaving them to their thoughts.
Alone in their room, Y/n contemplated the events of the night. The echoes of the past, the mysterious servant, and the unforeseen twists of fate left them in a state of introspection. Slowly, the weariness of the night began to weigh on Y/n, and with a heavy heart, they succumbed to the embrace of sleep.
In the hazy glow of lanterns and the distant sound of music, Y/n found themself at another grand party. The social intricacies and predictable conversations weighed on them, and a familiar sense of boredom settled in. Their gaze searched for a reprieve, and it found solace in the enigmatic figure of Alatus. Alatus, dressed in regal attire that reflected the moonlight, caught Y/n's eye. A shared understanding passed between them, and without uttering a word, they quietly slipped away from the festivities. The moonlit courtyard provided a secluded sanctuary where the stars bore witness to their clandestine escape. Leaning against the railing, Alatus turned to Y/n with a knowing smile. "Another tedious affair, isn't it?" Y/n chuckled in agreement. "I sometimes wonder why we subject ourselves to these gatherings. It's the same mundane conversations and false pretenses." Alatus nodded, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "Yet, in the monotony, we find each other. That, at least, makes these nights bearable." As they stood in the quietude, the moon casting a soft glow upon them, the conversation shifted to more profound matters. Alatus spoke of dreams and aspirations, of a future beyond the divine duties that bound them. Y/n listened intently, their hearts resonating with the shared vision of a life beyond the confines of their roles. "The mortal realm has a beauty of its own," Alatus mused. "I often envision a life where we can experience its fleeting moments together, free from the obligations that tether us to the divine realm." Y/n, caught in the ethereal atmosphere of the night, couldn't help but agree. "A life where we can choose our path, where our love can blossom without the weight of duty. It's a dream worth pursuing."
The warm water embraced Y/n's tired body, easing the lingering tension from the night before. Steam rose in gentle tendrils, creating a veil of tranquility in the bath. As Y/n reclined in the water, thoughts swirled in their mind, a reflection of the complex emotions that had woven through the threads of the previous evening.
Deciding to address the matter of the servant who inadvertently caused a disturbance, Y/n called for their servants to summon the servant from the previous night who spilled the drink on the aristocrat. The servants hesitated, sharing curious glances among themselves before fulfilling their lord's request.
Outside the bath, the servant waited with a mix of uncertainty and trepidation. His thoughts echoed the concern of potential repercussions for his accidental spillage during the aristocrat's confrontation.
Upon Y/n's command, the assistant led the servant into the bathing area. The servant entered hesitantly, his eyes cast downward to maintain respect for Y/n's privacy. Y/n, still submerged in the warm water, looked up, their eyes meeting the servant's.
"It seems we had a bit of an incident last night," Y/n remarked, their voice gentle yet carrying an air of authority. "You were the one who accidentally spilled wine on the aristocrat, correct?"
The servant, nervously wringing his hands, nodded. "Yes, my lord/lady. It was an unfortunate accident. I apologize for any inconvenience caused."
Y/n observed the servant's demeanor, noting the hesitancy in his actions. "There's no need for apologies. Accidents happen. I called you here to discuss the matter and assure you that there will be no repercussions."
The servant glanced up briefly, surprise flickering in his eyes. Y/n continued, "In fact, you prevented a potential conflict. I appreciate it. What is your name?"
The servant, still somewhat taken aback by Y/n's unexpected leniency, stammered, "I… I am Xiao, my lord/lady."
Y/n, still immersed in the soothing warmth of the bath, looked at Xiao with a genuine smile. "Xiao, there's no need to stand on ceremony. Join me in the bath. We can continue our conversation without the formalities."
Xiao's eyes widened in surprise, his customary reserved demeanor momentarily faltering. "My lord/lady, it is not appropriate for me to—"
Y/n interrupted with a chuckle. "Nonsense, Xiao. After last night, I feel it's only fair we get to know each other better. Besides, it's just a bath, no need for formality here."
The air in the bathing area shifted as Xiao hesitated, torn between the ingrained social norms and the unexpected invitation from the Archon whom he had admired from afar. Y/n, sensing his internal conflict, added with a reassuring tone, "Consider it a gesture of gratitude for your swift actions last night. There's no need for any reservations."
After a moment of contemplation, Xiao nodded in agreement, albeit with visible reluctance. He started to disrobe, his movements cautious as he entered the bath. The water's surface rippled as he settled in, keeping a respectful distance from Y/n.
The atmosphere in the bath was charged with an unexpected tension. Xiao, typically composed and reserved, found himself growing increasingly uneasy under Y/n's gaze. His eyes darted everywhere but Y/n, and he felt a peculiar sense of dizziness that clouded his thoughts.
Unable to resist the impulse, Y/n's fingers brushed through Xiao's hair. A soft gasp escaped Xiao's lips, and he stammered, "M-my lord/lady?"
Realizing the breach of boundaries, Y/n quickly withdrew their hand, offering an apologetic smile. "I apologize, Xiao. It's just… your hair reminded me of someone."
Xiao, his cheeks tinted with a rosy hue, nodded in understanding. Yet, before he could fully process the situation, Y/n leaned closer. In a swift, unexpected motion, their lips met, the warmth of the bathwater sloshing around them.
For a moment, time seemed to freeze as Y/n straddled Xiao, the intensity of the kiss leaving both breathless. As quickly as it began, Y/n broke the kiss, leaving Xiao bewildered and flushed. Without a word, Y/n stood, the bathwater trailing in their wake.
"I… I need to go," Y/n murmured, their gaze avoiding Xiao's confused eyes.
As Y/n left the bathing area, Xiao remained in a state of shock, the water settling around him.
Xiao, still recovering from the whirlwind of emotions stirred by the unexpected encounter in the bath, rose from the water. His heart fluttered nervously as he noticed a towel left for him by Y/n. Despite the shyness lingering within him, he appreciated the small gesture.
Wrapping the towel around himself, Xiao stepped out into the hallways. His eyes caught a glimpse of Y/n engaged in conversation with a persistent noble, likely another suitor vying for their affections. Xiao averted his gaze, his heart still racing from the recent events.
As Xiao made his way back to his servant quarters, he couldn't shake the daze that lingered. The encounter in the bath had left an indelible mark on his thoughts. Once in the privacy of his room, he couldn't help but feel a rush of emotions reminiscent of a teenage crush.
In the solitude of his quarters, Xiao retrieved a portrait from his trunk. It was a carefully preserved image, capturing the essence of Y/n, the one he had admired and loved for a long time. Holding the portrait close, Xiao closed his eyes and let the memories wash over him.
The stars, in their cosmic dance, seemed to favor Xiao in that moment. The realization slowly dawned on him—Y/n, the Archon of their admiration, was the one who had kissed him. A blend of disbelief, awe, and a spark of hope filled Xiao's heart.
In the bustling atmosphere of the Lantern Rite festival, young Xiao's eyes widened in wonder as he observed the vibrant lanterns illuminating the night sky. The air was filled with laughter, music, and the joyous chatter of the crowd. Amidst the revelry, he caught sight of Y/n, the Archon, radiant and commanding, as they gracefully moved through the festivities. Tugging at his mother's sleeve, Xiao couldn't contain his excitement. "Mother, look! It's Y/n, the Archon! They're so amazing!" His eyes sparkled with awe as he watched Y/n, their presence almost ethereal in the festive glow. His mother chuckled, ruffling Xiao's hair affectionately. "Yes, they are, my dear. The Archon has a way of captivating everyone with their presence." As they strolled through the festival, Xiao's gaze lingered on the paintings and portraits displayed in honor of Y/n. Some depicted the Archon alone, while others showcased them with a masked lover, their expressions capturing the essence of a love story that transcended mortal and divine boundaries. In the midst of admiration, a hint of jealousy flickered in Xiao's young heart. He turned to his mother with determination in his eyes. "When I'm older, Mom, I'm going to marry Y/n. They're the most amazing person in all of Teyvat!" His mother couldn't help but chuckle at the innocence of her son's declaration. "Well, Xiao, you have quite the ambitious heart. Who knows what the future holds? Just enjoy the festival for now." As the years passed, Xiao's admiration for Y/n blossomed into a dedicated collection of posters, trinkets, and anything related to the Archon. His living space became a shrine dedicated to the one he had vowed to marry as a young child. Even though Y/n had chosen to live as a mortal, their presence continued to be revered, with shrines erected by devoted followers. Xiao found solace in visiting these sacred places, offering his prayers and wishes, often murmuring, "Please let me marry you." One day, as Xiao knelt in front of a particularly elaborate shrine, a chuckle echoed in response. Surprised, Xiao looked around, only to find a mysterious figure standing beside him. The figure revealed themselves to be Chongyun, the exorcist from Liyue, known for his connections with the spiritual realm. Chongyun grinned, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I don't think marriage is quite possible with an Archon, especially one who has had a lover before. However, I can pull some strings and maybe get you a position in the Archon's residence." Xiao blinked, processing Chongyun's offer. The prospect of working in Y/n's residence, even in the most humble capacity, filled Xiao with a mix of excitement and nervousness. "You can do that?" Chongyun nodded. "Oh, yes! I have some connections in the spiritual realm. I can put in a good word for you. Who knows, you might get a chance to be closer to the Archon than you ever imagined."
Xiao's eyes fluttered open as the first rays of dawn filtered through his window. The tranquility of the morning was interrupted by a polite knock on his door. Still groggy from sleep, he was surprised to find another servant standing there, delivering unexpected news.
"Xiao, the Archon wishes for you to shift your room closer to theirs," the servant announced with a sense of urgency. "You are to be their personal assistant, accompanying them wherever they go. Pack your things; the move is to be swift."
Xiao blinked, processing the sudden turn of events. The gravity of the situation slowly sank in, and he nodded in acknowledgment. "Thank you for informing me. I will make the necessary arrangements."
As the servant departed, Xiao's mind whirred with a mix of emotions. The prospect of being in such close proximity to Y/n, serving as their personal assistant, was both exhilarating and daunting. The threads of fate seemed to be pulling him into a new chapter, one that held the promise of being closer to the Archon he had admired for so long.
As Xiao settled into his new room, he couldn't help but be struck by the opulence that surrounded him. The space was larger, the furnishings more elegant, and the air carried a distinct air of refinement. It was a stark contrast to the simplicity of his previous quarters.
While he took in the surroundings, the servant returned, this time holding a set of robes. With a respectful bow, they explained, "Lord/Lady Y/n has requested that you wear these robes from now on. They wish for you to meet a certain standard in attire."
As Xiao examined the robes, he noticed their intricate details and luxurious fabric. It was a departure from his usual attire, which reflected the practicality and simplicity befitting a warrior. These robes were more refined, in line with the elegance expected in the company of an Archon.
Feeling a mix of curiosity and apprehension, Xiao changed into the new attire. The robes draped elegantly around him, a visual representation of the shift in his role.
Once dressed, Xiao made his way to meet Y/n, the weight of the unfamiliar robes adding to the sense of transformation.
Venti and Zhongli, having caught wind of Y/n's intentions to mold Xiao into a reflection of Alatus, tried to talk some sense into them. They emphasized the importance of letting Xiao be his own person, with his own identity and choices. However, as they debated the matter, the door opened slowly, revealing Xiao in his newly adorned attire.
The transformation was remarkable. Xiao now looked almost identical to Alatus, right down to the elegant robes that mirrored the attire of the departed yaksha. The only notable difference was the hair – Xiao's remained short compared to Alatus's long locks.
Venti and Zhongli stood in silent astonishment, their eyes widening at the uncanny resemblance. Y/n, on the other hand, smiled with a sense of satisfaction as if their vision had finally come to life. The room held a charged atmosphere, a collision of Y/n's desires and Venti and Zhongli's concerns.
Xiao, unaware of the deliberations that had taken place, approached Y/n with a respectful bow. "My lord/lady, I am here as you have requested."
Y/n's smile grew wider, a mix of satisfaction and a hint of something more complex. "Xiao, you look exquisite. I believe the attire suits you well."
Venti and Zhongli exchanged uneasy glances, recognizing that their attempts to dissuade Y/n had seemingly fallen on deaf ears.
As Y/n admired Xiao's transformed appearance, a soft smile played on their lips. Xiao, his demeanor still marked by shyness, looked at Y/n with a mixture of uncertainty and compliance. Y/n, with a gentle touch, began to run their fingers through Xiao's hair, expressing their vision of perfection.
"You'll need to grow out your hair, Xiao," Y/n suggested, their voice carrying an air of determination. "Once it's longer, you'll look absolutely perfect."
Zhongli, recognizing the delicate situation and perhaps feeling a sense of responsibility, tried to interject without giving away the details. "Xiao looks splendid as he is now. There's a unique charm in his current appearance."
However, Y/n, seemingly determined to see their vision come to fruition, dismissed Zhongli's comment with a casual wave of their hand. "It's a matter of refining the details, Zhongli. Xiao will appreciate the change once he sees the complete picture."
Xiao, caught in the middle of the exchange, remained silent, his eyes flickering between Y/n and Zhongli.
In the ensuing days, Xiao found himself transitioning from a humble servant to the personal assistant of Y/n, accompanying them to various gatherings and events. The shift in roles was both surreal and daunting, but Xiao approached his new responsibilities with a sense of diligence and loyalty.
One day, Y/n proposed an idea that stirred a mix of excitement and apprehension within Xiao. "Xiao, how about a friendly spar to sharpen your skills? I'd like to see your prowess in combat."
Xiao hesitated, as he had never been trained in traditional combat. However, the prospect of engaging in a friendly match with Y/n left him intrigued. "I… I'm not skilled in martial arts, my lord/lady."
Y/n smiled reassuringly. "No worries, Xiao. I'll guide you through it. Just give it a try."
Reluctantly, Xiao agreed, and the impromptu spar commenced. Y/n, with a keen eye, observed Xiao's movements and gracefully guided his actions. Each strike, each parry, seemed to echo the fluid elegance of Alatus in his prime, though Xiao remained blissfully unaware of the resemblance.
As Y/n patiently instructed Xiao, the courtyard became a canvas for their shared movements. The dance of the spar unfolded, a delicate fusion of guidance and newfound determination within Xiao. Despite his initial hesitation, Xiao started to grasp the basics, his movements aligning with Y/n's subtle cues.
Y/n's guiding hand aimed not only to enhance Xiao's combat skills but also to mold him into a reflection of their departed lover, Alatus.
The courtyard was hushed after the friendly spar, and both Xiao and Y/n found themselves slightly out of breath, beads of sweat glistening on their foreheads.
As Y/n wiped the sweat from Xiao's forehead, a moment of intimacy unfolded. Xiao, his shy demeanor surfacing once again, lowered his gaze, a mix of gratitude and uncertainty in his eyes.
Y/n, their touch lingering, looked into Xiao's eyes with a gentle smile. "Xiao, you've done well. Your moves are beginning to reflect the grace of.. a good warrior."
Then with a tender expression, Y/n brushed a strand of hair away from Xiao's face, their touch lingering a moment longer.
In the midst of the shared warmth and the afterglow of the spar, Y/n hesitated before softly speaking, "Would you, perhaps, spend the night with me tonight? We can continue our discussions and training in a more relaxed setting."
Xiao's eyes widened slightly, the invitation catching him off guard. He stammered for a moment before nodding with a mix of nervousness and curiosity. "Of course, my lord/lady. I will be honored to spend the night with you."
The night was shrouded in a soft glow, the air thick with anticipation as Y/n adorned themselves in an almost translucent robe. A gentle knock echoed through the room, and Y/n, with a knowing smile, opened the door to reveal Xiao standing there.
Xiao's eyes widened as he took in Y/n's appearance, the almost ethereal glow accentuating their features. A flush of embarrassment painted Xiao's cheeks as Y/n invited him into the room. Hesitant yet intrigued, Xiao stepped inside, and the door closed behind them.
As soon as he did, Y/n's lips met his in a fervent kiss, the air between them filled with desire. Xiao, his back pressed against the door, let out a low, involuntary moan as the heat between them intensified.
Their tongues engaged in a silent battle for dominance that mirrored the unspoken complexities of their connection. The soft echoes of shared pleasure resonated through the room, a manifestation of the uncharted territory their intertwined destinies were exploring.
In that intimate moment, time seemed to lose its grip, and the world outside the room faded into insignificance.
As the kiss deepened, hastily opened Xiao's robes, their fingers fumbling with the fabric in their eagerness.
Y/n kneeled down, and seeing Xiao's cock already leaking with pre, "Ah, such a good boy for me aren't you?~"
──────────﹒★﹒﹒─
As the morning sun painted the room in a gentle glow, Xiao stirred from his slumber. The warmth of the sunlight filtering through the window signaled the arrival of a new day. Blinking away the remnants of sleep, he became aware of the soft weight nestled close to him.
Turning slightly, Xiao discovered Y/n in his arms, their form snug against his. The traces of the night's passion lingered in the quiet morning air. Y/n, still lost in the embrace of sleep, appeared serene, their features softened in the morning light.
A subtle smile played on Xiao's lips as he observed the peaceful scene.
As Y/n stirred from slumber, the morning light casting a gentle glow on the room, their gaze fell upon the figure beside them. Xiao, now resembling Alatus more than ever, lay peacefully in the morning stillness. Y/n's eyes softened with a mixture of fondness and longing.
Snuggling closer to Xiao, Y/n's voice carried a tender whisper, "Alatus, I missed you." The words, filled with a deep yearning, hung in the air. Yet, Xiao, caught in the embrace of Y/n's sentiments, experienced a moment of freezing recognition.
Xiao, having never known what Alatus looked like, had only heard the name as a figure from Y/n's past. The realization that Y/n, in that vulnerable moment of waking, mistook him for Alatus sent a ripple of complexity through his thoughts.
As Xiao gently extricated himself from the embrace, the rustle of fabric and the sound of his footsteps echoed in the room. Y/n, still in a half-asleep haze, registered the movement and glanced at Xiao putting his robes back on.
A sudden realization dawned upon Y/n as clarity cut through the lingering remnants of sleep. The features that they had mistaken for Alatus in the soft morning light now held the distinctive essence of Xiao. A moment of awareness washed over Y/n, and their eyes widened with the realization that they had momentarily forgotten the present in the depths of their longing for the past.
The room, once filled with an air of intimacy, now held a subtle tension as Y/n recognized the mistake. A brief flicker of regret passed through their gaze as they watched Xiao, who seemed unaffected yet carried the weight of the unspoken complexity in the room.
"I… I'm sorry," Y/n murmured, the words laden with a mix of regret and acknowledgment. The echoes of the night's passion now mingled with the awareness of the present, creating a moment of vulnerability between them.
Xiao, having donned his robes, met Y/n's gaze with a stoic expression, his features revealing little of the internal turmoil.
"Alatus is not here," Xiao finally spoke, his voice calm but carrying a subtle undercurrent of emotion. "I am Xiao."
As Xiao swiftly left the room, a mix of emotions lingered in the air. The realization of Y/n's unintentional act and the discovery of a picture spoke volumes about the intricacies of their connection. Fate, it seemed, had woven a tapestry that unraveled the complexities of their intertwined destinies.
In a quiet corner of Y/n's residence, Xiao stumbled upon a picture that held the essence of Alatus without his mask, embracing Y/n. The resemblance between the image and Xiao's current appearance was undeniable, a reflection of Y/n's subconscious desire to recreate the past.
Staring at the picture, Xiao felt a surge of conflicting emotions. Envy, an unfamiliar emotion to him, crept into his consciousness as he traced his own features in the mirror. The realization dawned on him that every aspect of his current environment seemed crafted to mirror Alatus, as if Y/n sought to resurrect the past in the present.
A profound understanding settled within Xiao as the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. Y/n, in their grief and longing, molded Xiao into the image of their lost love. The room, the picture, and even Xiao's own reflection seemed like echoes of Alatus, a manifestation of Y/n's attempt to fill the void left by his departure.
Xiao, feeling suffocated by the weight of Alatus' clothes that seemed to cling to him, walked out of the residence, seeking solace in the open air. The field, bathed in the gentle hues of the day, offered a temporary escape from the echoes of Y/n's unintentional expectations.
As Xiao stood in the field, a tap on his shoulders startled him. Turning around, he found Venti standing there, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Found you," Venti chimed, his carefree demeanor contrasting with Xiao's internal turmoil.
Xiao, perplexed, asked how Venti managed to locate him in the vast openness. Venti simply grinned and gestured to the surroundings. "The winds carry whispers, my friend. They led me to you."
Venti's expression shifted as he mentioned Y/n's concern. "Y/n is worried about you, searching everywhere," Venti confessed, giving Xiao's shoulder a reassuring squeeze.
Xiao, feeling a pang of guilt, corrected Venti. "Not me, Venti. They are worried about Alatus."
Venti's gaze softened as he absorbed Xiao's words. Understanding the complexities of the situation, he offered a supportive presence. "Y/n cares deeply for both of you, Xiao. It's a tangle of emotions, but we're here to help untangle it."
With a thoughtful look, Xiao seized the opportunity to ask about Alatus. "Tell me about Alatus and Y/n," he requested, a mix of curiosity and a desire to understand the person Y/n had loved so deeply.
Venti, his usually carefree demeanor giving way to a more somber expression, hesitated before recounting Alatus' tale to Xiao. The winds seemed to carry the weight of the story as Venti spoke.
"Alatus was a Yaksha, a guardian under a Malevolent God," Venti began, his voice carrying a tone of reverence. "He served with unwavering loyalty, bound by duty. But within that service, he yearned for freedom."
Venti paused, his eyes reflecting the gravity of the story. "Just as he was on the brink of breaking free from those chains, tragedy struck. Alatus was killed, cruelly robbed of the chance to embrace the freedom he longed for."
Xiao, absorbing the revelation, felt a profound sadness at the untimely demise of Alatus. Venti continued, "His departure occurred just before Y/n and Alatus could celebrate their union in marriage."
"Let's get married once this is all over," Alatus suggested, the warmth of his words settling into the space between them. Y/n, in agreement, envisioned a life together among the mortals, free from the confines of duty. As they spoke of their future, plans were made for a wedding that would mark the beginning of a new chapter. The anticipation of the ceremony, the shared dreams, and the promise of a life entwined filled the air. Alatus and Y/n set their sights on the next month, a time that held the potential for a union that would transcend the realms. However, fate had other plans. The next month never arrived as Alatus, in the line of duty, faced a brutal and unanticipated fate. The cries of anguish echoed far and wide as the Malevolent God's reign came to an end, sealed by Morax's intervention. Alatus lay wounded, his life force slipping away before Y/n's eyes. In the aftermath of the battle, Y/n, desperate to defy the inevitable, tried to gather the spilled blood and return it to Alatus. The heart-wrenching scene unfolded as Y/n's attempts proved futile. Alatus, weakened but filled with love, gently stroked Y/n's cheek. "Forgive me, my love," Alatus whispered, his voice barely audible. Alas, Alatus succumbed to the wounds. The field where they once dreamed of a future together now bore witness to the pain of a love cut short.
Xiao found himself entangled in the complex emotions stirred by Y/n's past love for Alatus. Despite his deep feelings for Y/n since childhood, Xiao grappled with the realization that he could never truly compete with the profound connection Y/n shared with the departed Yaksha.
Contemplating the situation, Xiao turned to Venti. He urged Venti to share every detail about Alatus, a request that left Venti puzzled. Xiao, with a determined expression, explained his reasoning.
"If the Archon can't love me, then let me be the one they loved," Xiao declared, his voice carrying a mixture of resignation and determination. He acknowledged the impossibility of replacing Alatus but was willing to embrace a role that held the past.
Venti, concerned for Xiao's well-being, hesitated. "Xiao, you can't force yourself into a role that wasn't meant for you. It's not healthy," he cautioned, trying to dissuade Xiao from pursuing a path that seemed fraught with emotional challenges.
However, Xiao's persistence remained unwavering. "Even if it means being someone else, I want to be the one they loved," he asserted, driven by a profound desire to offer solace to Y/n and fill the void left by Alatus.
Reluctantly, Venti yielded to Xiao's persistent request and began recounting the intricate details of Alatus' persona. Months passed, and Xiao immersed himself in the process of becoming more like Alatus, even allowing his hair to grow out to mimic the departed Yaksha's appearance.
During this time, Y/n remained unaware of Xiao's transformation, believing that he had left their residence. The echoes of Xiao's footsteps were replaced by an absence that went unnoticed, as Y/n assumed they were left alone to grapple with the memories of their lost love.
Xiao, with each passing day, delved deeper into the role he had willingly embraced. He studied Alatus' mannerisms, adopted his way of speaking, and endeavored to recreate the presence that had once filled Y/n's life.
As Xiao, now an almost perfect mirror of Alatus, entered the residence with Venti by his side, the guards, recognizing the familiar presence of the Anemo Archon, allowed them entry. Venti, still uncertain about the consequences of this elaborate transformation, accompanied Xiao with a sense of caution.
Inside the residence, the maids relayed the surprising news to Y/n – Alatus had come to meet them. Confused and thinking it was some cruel joke, Y/n approached, ready to dismiss the notion. However, as they laid eyes on the figure standing before them, their breath hitched.
It was Alatus—or so it seemed.
The room, steeped in a mix of emotions and the echoes of the past, became a stage for an unexpected reunion. Y/n, confronted with the uncanny resemblance of Alatus, stood frozen in disbelief. The air carried a sense of surrealism as they grappled with the notion that someone they thought was lost had returned.
Xiao, now fully immersed in the role he had taken on, awaited Y/n's reaction with bated breath.
As Y/n furrowed their eyebrows, a mixture of confusion and disbelief etched across their features, Xiao swiftly interjected, gently stroking their cheek with a familiarity that mirrored Alatus' touch. The gentle caress, a subtle echo of the past, seemed to bridge the gap between the present reality and the memories Y/n held dear.
"Did you miss me, love?" Xiao asked, his voice carrying a conviction that sought to quell Y/n's doubts. The touch, the words, and the uncanny resemblance held a power that tugged at the heartstrings of memories buried deep within Y/n's consciousness.
Confronted with the possibility of Alatus standing before them, Y/n's initial skepticism wavered. The touch felt too familiar and the words to be dismissed, and as Xiao's hand lingered on their cheek, Y/n leaned into the comforting embrace, tears forming in their eyes.
